When Jimmy stepped out, Jey didn't think too much of it. His twin would do that from time to time when he was stressed. Having spent their entire lives together, they could always lean on each other in times of need. But sometimes what was needed was space. His brother was still dealing with the separation from his wife, the heat from Roman after losing the titles and whatever Solo's problem was.
He was still baffled on that one.
A few moments after Jimmy's departure, he noticed Solo get up to follow. Remembering what Roman said the night before, Jey stood.
"Hey, uh little bro, you got a minute?"
Solo paused. When he didn't respond, Jey took that as a signal to continue.
"I know things haven't been the best around here. You know, since what happened at Mania but Jimmy's dealing with a lot right now. You know how much he loves Naomi. Just...just remember he's our brother. Okay?"
Solo glanced at the door before turning to Jey. Their eyes met and Jey could see the conviction in his baby brother. To be honest, it reminded him of Roman.
"I'll take good care of Jimmy. Don't worry about that."
He didn't give Jey a chance to say anything else. As Jey watched him leave the cabin, he felt the familiar chill running up his spine. The same chill he'd felt after that Hell In A Cell match. When Roman had first...
No, Solo would never do that to Jimmy. He's our brother.
But wasn't Roman like a brother?Well yea... but technically he was a cousin. A second cousin really. Roman was the youngest their dad's uncle Sika. Which made him their dad's cousin. Yes he was still family, yes he was still blood but...the degree of separation made the things they did (things Roman made him do) okay. Didn't royal families do it all the time? And what was their family if not the royal family of wrestling?Still, Jey wanted to follow. That look alone had the hairs on his arms standing on end. All he could see was the Tribal Chief, the intensity, the possessiveness, the entitlement.
"I'm going to need you to give your brothers some space tonight. They have some things they need to work out."
Roman's instructions had been clear. Do not interfere. So he didn't. Even as that uneasy feeling settled in his stomach. Fearing. Knowing. dreading.
Jey's hands found his temples and he unconsciously tried to massage his emotions away.
"Jey," Roman's voice drew him from his thoughts.
He turned to him, ready to obey whatever command his cousin ordered. Roman didn't say anything. He merely gestured with the tilt of his head to join him in the bedroom. Jey swallowed and without hesitation made his way to the Tribal Chief's quarters.
For the first time since she'd left, Jimmy didn't dream about his wife. Instead his sleep was filled with flashes of penetration, pain and grunting against his back. He woke with a jolt, nerves shooting rapid fire as he tried to gauge his surroundings. It didn't take long to figure out that he was no longer in a shed. He was lying face first into a soft but unfamiliar pillow.
"Rise and shine."
He flipped over, eyes darting to the corner to find his baby brother settled in a chair watching him. Humiliation, both at being startled as well as the memories from the shed burned his face red. He blinked at Solo, unsure of how to process his presence.
"This ain't my bed," he finally settled on as he scooted up.
Come to think of it, this wasn't even the room he'd slept in last night. Solo looked him dead in the eye, no room for negotiation.
"It is now. You'll be bunking with me."
Jimmy swallowed. Again remembering the shed. He'd never been bested by Solo before. Especially in such a devastating way. The confidence he'd once felt addressing him was now a mixture of shame and dread. He found himself looking away from that intense stare.
"I moved your bag in here. We'll stay until the flooding clears. News says maybe we'll be out as soon as tomorrow."
Jimmy didn't know what to say. So he just blurted the first thing on his mind.
"I'm your brother."
He felt his hand beginning to shake. His eyes beginning to burn. He'd never felt this way before. So...conquered.
"I know. That's why I'm the only one who can take care of you."
Before he could stop himself, he did look back at Solo. That intense stare seemed to burn brighter.
"Because I love you."
Again Jimmy spoke without thinking.
"You call what happened out there love?""I call it submission. You needed to learn. My love can be gentle or it can be... not so gentle. Either way it's my love. You WILL recieve it."
And he knew that Solo meant every last word of that statement. Fear crept into him again as he remembered the pain, in his arm, in his head...in his ass. Even now it still felt raw back there.
"This ain't you," he whispered, "I've known you your whole life. I remember the day Mom brought you home from the hospital. You never--"Solo stood and Jimmy felt his whole body stiffen with apprehension. His brother came closer, driving the emotion even deeper with every step. Jimmy's hand resumed its tremble, this time much more noticeable. He attempted to shield it with the other but that hand was trembling as well.
Solo didn't stop until he stood directly before him, leaning down literally a nose's length away. His large hand took Jimmy's cheek, caressing it with a possessive stroke.
"You don't even know the half of the things I've wanted to do to your body since I first popped wood. Mr. Big Brother, Mr. Prom King, Mr Popularity. All the girls calling our phone for you. All the guys wanting to hang with you. Even Jey couldn't help but get swept up in your aura."Another possessive caress.
"I used to envy him. Being so close to you all the time. Sharing a room, sharing clothes, sharing a face. Well, to most folks. But I could always tell the difference. Your eyes are different. Your smile is different. Your scent is different."
He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, making Jimmy even more uncomfortable.
"And when you're undressed, your bodies are different too."
The shed. Solo's body against his. At the thought of that happening again, Jimmy pulled away. But the farthest he could go was the headboard.
"Oh don't be jealous, Uso. It wasn't like that with Jey. Besides, he's spoken for. But I used to watch you and wherever you were, Jey was there too. Like when you would go swimming? Remember those blue trunks you used to wear? The way after they got wet they would mold to your body. To your thighs and your...other assets? I remember."But he'd still been so young back then.
"I used to look at you, I used to compare. Crazy right? I never thought my dick would ever be as big as yours back then. Now, I'm even bigger than you."
Not that he'd been paying attention but they did all shower together in the lockerroom. It was hard not to notice. Still he'd never imagined Solo looking at his. Or having these thoughts.
"Especially when I'm hard. But you know what that feels like now. And you took it like a champ, Uce. Just like I knew you would."
Solo licked his lips.
"Because you're mine. You've always been mine. And you'll always be mine."
His lips moved to land on Jimmy's but the elder turned away. He quickly scooted toward the other end of the bed in an effort to escape the kiss. But his body was still sore and Solo quickly pounced on top of him. Instinctively, Jimmy fought and the two tumbled back and forth until they landed on the floor. Jimmy scrambled to his knees but Solo pinned him from behind, slamming him on his stomach once more.
"I thought you learned in the shed, Uce. Looks like you need more training."
Shit!
Once again his brother overpowered him and Jimmy felt his same arm yanked behind him."Agh!""How about this time I'm a little less gentle, huh? How about I show you what it's like to feel my wrath--"Footsteps before the door burst open. Both Solo and Jimmy glanced up to see a very concerned Jey barging in. Worried eyes landed on the two and Jimmy saw them widen briefly before he went back to business.
"Aye, aye! Y'all ain't about to be fighting in these people's house. We supposed to be better than this!"
He moved to separate them and surprisingly Solo didn't object. Jimmy found himself back on his feet, his twin between the two.
"Whatever the issue is, we're still family. We still brothers. We ain't got to fight like this."
If only he knew what they'd been fighting about, of the not-so-brotherly act their baby brother was trying to commit. Again.
"Agreed," Solo remarked.
"We don't have to fight like this. Right Jimmy?"
He didn't have to answer. Because Roman did.
"A little bit of action is necessary sometimes. When family refuses to fall in line."
All eyes went to the doorway. There stood their big cousin, the Tribal Chief. Roman looked the three of them over, allowing his gaze to linger a little longer on Jimmy to send the message.
"Jey, didn't I tell you to let these two work it out?"
Work it out? Wait, did Roman know?
"I-It sounded like they were fighting. I didn't want us to get charged if they broke something."
"Us? You mean me right?"
Jey nodded nervously.
"Yea, yea. Besides, look a Jimmy's face. It's obvious they already fought."
He stepped closer to his twin.
"You good uce?"
Jimmy glanced down at his feet. He couldn't face Jey after what Solo had done. And what he was about to do again had Jey not come in when he did.
"He's good," Solo insisted.
"I didn't ask you. I asked Jimmy."
Now his younger twin was protecting him? From their baby brother? If this wasn't an all time low...
"Jey," Roman cut in.His tone was the same as Solo's when..."I'm good," Jimmy had to keep his pride as the eldest brother. "We just had a little difference of opinion is all."
He felt Jey, Roman and Solo's eyes on him.
"You know how we do."
Roman nodded approvingly. Jey studied him, clearly not convinced. Solo kept that possessive stare trained on him. Jey glanced around the room, then back at Jimmy. And something changed in his eyes. Jimmy saw it the moment it broke. Understanding.
His mouth dropped and he mouthed the word "no" but nothing came out. He looked from Solo to Jimmy again and Jimmy could see his heart breaking.
He'd figured it out. He knew.
"Come on Jey," Roman's tone left no room for debate.
The younger Uso blinked, clearly torn between tending to his twin and obeying his Tribal Chief. Jimmy didn't say anything, he couldn't. But he also couldn't let Jey get into trouble with Roman on his account. So he gestured with a slight jerk of his head for Jey to go.
Jey hesitated. And like they'd always done the twins communicated without words. Jimmy pleading with him to go. Jey pleading with him to come with him and not leave himself alone with a brother who would do to him what he knew had been done. There was an understanding then and Jimmy realized that Jey wasn't having sympathy for him. It was empathy. Because he too knew what it was like.
Roman.
All of the private time made sense now. The Right Hand Man and his Tribal Chief. The blond obedience even when Jimmy had tried to pull him away. How had he been so blind? How had he not seen?
What Solo had done to him, Roman had done to Jey!
"I'm good," Jimmy repeated, his voice hoarse with the realization.
Jey visibly swallowed.
"Okay."
No one spoke again as he and Roman left the room, Roman was sure to shut the door behind them. Then it was just Solo and Jimmy. Alone.
