The first indication that Gwen got that not all was right in the Hub was that both Ianto and Jack were sitting in the tourist office when she got into work. "What's with the welcoming committee?" she asked, looking from one to the other.

"We have a small… issue," replied Ianto with some difficulty and distaste.

"What kind of issue?"

"Weevils in the Hub," said Jack cheerfully. "Never a dull moment."

"They got out of their cells?" she asked, alarmed. All the weevil-hunting equipment, apart from an almost empty can of weevil spray in her glove compartment, was in the Hub.

Jack pressed his lips together firmly, as if trying not to laugh, though she couldn't understand what was in any way funny about carnivorous aliens rampaging through their work space. "They're in the kitchen area. They got into the biscuit barrel."

"I've fumigated the Hub to kill them so we can't go in for another couple of hours," confirmed Ianto. "We were just waiting till you arrived so we could go for breakfast somewhere while we wait it out."

She blinked. "Okay… hold up, rewind. You're not talking about aliens, are you? We have a beetle infestation."

Jack finally gave into the laughter he'd been trying so hard to hold back. "Yeah… but at least it's the lesser of two weevils!"

Gwen glared at him, then turned to Ianto. "Do you want to kill him for that, or shall I?" she asked sweetly.

Ianto smirked. "Ladies first."
