PROLOGUE:
Shouyou Hinata: Shift In Mentality
"What have you been doing for the last three years?"
Those words reverberated in Hinata's head as he laid in bed going over the events of the day that had just ended. Brown eyes that burned with intensity stared at the ceiling as he continued to mull over the words the taller boy had said to him from the other side of the court.
"What have I done these last three years?" He asked himself as he rose up from his bed and began to pace back and forth in his room. Hinata was thinking. Hinata was thinking hard and deeply. The speed of pacing increased. The answer was within reach, he could feel it. Then he stopped moving, his brown eyes locked onto something. A poster of Karasuno's Little Giant. "What would you have done these last three years?" he thought out loud. "What would you have done differently?". Hinata compared himself to his idol and identified what the Little Giant had that he currently lacked. As much as it hurt his pride to admit it, Hinata quickly came to terms with the reality that outside of his athleticism he lacked any real volleyball fundamentals. He wasn't sure how he would get them, but he would do so by any means.
Prologue End.
Hi, I am relatively new author. Actually a complete newbie. This is just an idea I've had on my mind during my recent haikyuu phase. I wanted to read a story where hinata develops his volleyball skills ahead of his time at karasuno so he's slightly less reliant on kageyama and more independant early on. However, that was seemingly IMPOSSIBLE because barely anyone writes about actual volleyball on the haikyuu fanfic side XD. Hope you guys enjoy the story, as I'll be trying to update every week.
