Red spent the rest of the day hiding in his room, leaning against his bed for hours as he tried to gain control of his emotions.
He knew he was back on the desktop, and back with his friends, but he still felt...trapped. Like he and Purple hadn't really gone back home where they belonged. Even if they were, Red's mindset certainly didn't feel like it.
And it was beginning to drive him insane.
That night, Red couldn't sleep.
Second camped out in his room just in case, and was fully prepared to drag the others out of bed and make them camp out with them if necessary, even though Red said it wouldn't.
Red laid in his bed, trying to sleep before he suddenly heard a menacingly familiar voice.
"You should've died when the building fell."
He bed disappeared from under him, and so did everything else. His room, the desktop, Second, everything.
"The others would've been so happy. After all, you are the weak link of the group."
"No-they'd be heartbroken! We're like siblings!"
"But your the weak link. You can hardly fight, you allowed yourself to get possessed by Herobrine, you let yourself get kidnapped by yours truly, and you almost died during that collapse."
"Wait-yours truly?!"
Navy stepped into the light.
"You. You son of a-NONE OF THIS WOULD'VE HAPPENED IF YOU DIDN'T KIDNAP PURPLE!" Red screamed, tears forming in his eyes.
"Oh, but I wouldn't have kidnapped him if he had just been stronger. You should've been stronger too. Hell, they all probably wish you were dead too!"
"No...NO! STOP IT! PLEASE JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!" Red screamed as tears fell from his eyes.
"RED! Red, listen to me! Can you hear me?!"
"Come on, wake up!"
"Red, please!"
"RED!"
Red suddenly jolted himself awake with a scream before bursting into a fit of sobs, oblivious to the group of sticks surrounding him.
"Hey. Hey, Red. It's okay. We're right here." Second sat on the bed and grabbed one of Red's hands.
"Dude, what happened?" Green asked.
"It was...it..." Red couldn't make any sense. Hell, he didn't look like he was breathing very well, either.
"Red, just breathe. Take some deep breaths and calm down. We're right here. We've got you." Yellow took his other hand and looked at Second, worry crossing his face.
After a few minutes, Red finally caught his breath, and became aware of Second and Yellow holding his hands.
"Can I again ask what the heck just happened?" Green asked again, now that Red could make sense again.
"It was...he said that..." Red began sobbing again.
"WHY DO I ALWAYS ATTRACT THE BAD LUCK AROUND HERE?! WHY AM I THE WEAKEST ONE IN THE GROUP?! WHATS WRONG WITH ME?!" Red screamed, burying his face in his hands.
He wasn't really sure what to expect from the meltdown, but it wasn't Second to hug-tackle him.
"We're all bad luck magnets around here, Red. And your definitely not weak." Blue comforted.
"Yeah, we've all gotten bad luck attached to us. Thanks to someone's addiction." Green punched Blues arm.
"Alright we get it! At least we got something out of it!" Blue said with fake anger.
"Uh huh, yeah sure whatever. Your addiction to netherwart nearly killed us!"
"It's not an addiction!" Blue whined.
"Yeah I bet it isn't!"
"It's not!"
Red watched as his friends bickered the night away. He was definitely gonna have nightmares about Navy and his plan for a while, but he had his friends.
And he wasn't gonna change anything about that.
