Wish Redone
The Story So Far
So, the story's summary, instead of Asha as the main character, the central chapter is about a guy who is dressed like a wizard but is a janitor named Walter (who wears an outfit similar to Mickey's sorcerer's apprentice look with a mix of Orko from He-Man as he covers his face). Who was on the verge of creating something that would unlock the potential of the cosmos when he received news that soldiers attacked nearby villages? He follows the soldiers who arrive at an island with a kingdom called Rosa. Home to a city ruled by a king who could grant your deepest desires. With his broom made of redwood on his back, which he named Roy, he set out to stop the kingdom of Rosa from further invasions. Given the fact he's an outsider of this kingdom, his questions about the rule of the kingdom make more sense.
When he arrives at first doesn't know that a squirrel lands on the back of his head, blends into the crowd that's getting a tour of the city from a tour guide, a naive, gullible 17 teenage girl named Laalach(Hindi for greed)she keeps talking about how great the kingdom is as the townsfolk look empty and zombielike the closer they get to the castle, but she ignores it as she starts singing about the wishes and her grandpa's wishes as if it's the only thing necessary to her.
When they arrive in the middle of a wishing ceremony, the announcer named Cain, whose white part of his eyes has a tint of a shade of spring green. He introduces King Magnifico, who looks like a performer, with loud applause from the crowd and cheers, but it is monotone. A cough comes from a woman on the throne who glares at him, with Cain saying it in a bored tone, and the Queen smiles, with only one person in the crowd saying hooray, which was Laalach.
Walter watches the Wishing ceremony as Magnifco randomly picks a citizen who strolls like a sloth. Her wish is granted, and then she acts all hyper with her eyes getting the same spring green tint, just like Cain and the others. Walter finds this odd while everyone else enjoys the ceremony, viewing the crowd as lazy idiots dealing with one guy to do the work for them. After the ceremony, he walks towards the King and leaves but is stopped by Cain, who tells him to wait for the next ceremony to get his wish. Walter replies that he isn't here for a wish. He's here to meet the King on an important business.
While waiting for Walter meets with the rest of the castle staff Gloria, Zion, Karlow, Reagan, Jackson, and Paula. They introduce Walter in that order. Paula was holding a weird dog in the shape of a ball with fangs named Babel. Palua is the quietest and seems to be zoned out as she has a disturbing smile but she's dead inside.
The rest of this I'll work on later.
The Magic Rule
When Magnifico grants someone a wish, it hurts them. They become zombie-like, apathetic, and lose their purpose in life. This also affects their clothes, causing the colors to fade. When their wishes are granted, the white in their eyes turns bright green, and they become hyperactive. "They show no concern for anyone else and are only loyal to the King. However, if their desires are thwarted, they become sad, and their colors become dull and lifeless. They barely react to their surroundings. If their desires are consumed, they drop dead until they return to their bodies."
"The Star who came from the sky" is a mystical being that can be summoned by making a wish. The Star can help make the wish come true. However, it does not grant wishes automatically and requires effort from the wish-maker. The magical entity can bring objects and plants to life, make animals talk, turn animals into humans, shape-shift, and even make yarn. (I'm not sure about the yarn thing.) She can restore a person's wish, though it takes a lot out of her, and she has to recharge when the sky is at night and the stars are visible.
A person can reincarnate into a star being as long as they were killed at night. They have little memories of who they were as humans, but it takes a massive trigger on how they died, which is what causes them to get most of their memories back.
Characters
Main Characters-
Walter- A Janitor who dresses like a wizard arrives at Rosa after following some ships and seeing a green light. He was trying to take a star from the sky. His conversation with Magnfico was working well until Laalach arrived, and that was ruined when she asked about her grandpa's wish. Then he's denied as the queen arrives telling him his time is up and kicks him out along with Laalach. He's annoyed by Rats very easily as she's not giving him answers about what her powers can do.
Roy—Walter's broomstick is made of redwood. The Star uses its magic to bring him to life, growing arms and one eye. He acts as the silent sidekick and a transportation for flying.
Lillian - A red squirrel that follows Walter after he arrives on the island. She gets the ability to talk because of Rats. But the song is cut short after Walter tells the animals to shut up. She ends up as a half-squirrel/half-human after Rats turns her into one to prove how strong her magic is. She thinks that she's a freak for what the star has done to her.
Rats, aka Spettacolare—The "Wishing" Star—arrive at Rosa's after being robbed by Magnifico but hear someone wanting a wish. She gets the name Rats, which is Star backward and works as an insult. She was the Star Magnifco dragged into Rosa's sky. She hears someone wishing on the stars but crash lands next to Walter. She's also the reincarnation of Magnifico's sister who the thieves killed after they slit her throat.
Laalach's Seven Friends Aka The Castle Staff - Unlike the original, these characters are based on the ones from The Amazing Digital Circus rather than the seven dwarves. There were more of them, but they "disappeared" a few weeks ago. Magnfico trusts these people enough for them to keep their wishes(Except for Paula and Caine who arrived weeks ago.)
Paula—She's the court jester, although she has played the sad clown since giving up her wish to Magnifico. She was much happier before arriving on the island with Cain.
Cain- The announcer and seems to be the head guard of the castle. He got his wish from the king to gain magic to improve his skills as a performer (odd given that fact only Magnifico is the only one to do magic.) He's brainwashed to serve the king.
Babel- Cain's pet puffball dog who is round like a ball with sharp gains the ability to speak because of Rats.
Karlow- The Castellan of the castle. He seems to be not in the right state of mind, saying that he hears voices from below the castle. His hobby is bug collecting. He wonders why Amya is wearing his wife's crown but due to his unstableness, he brushes it off.
Raegan- The Baker who is missing an eye because of Jackson. Unlike the others, she is optimistic and adores the king the most.
Jackson- The Gardner. He's known to be a massive jerk and troll who tends to bully Gloria the most. Jackson also has a phobia of corn. He tends to steal as he takes the keys from guards to look around the castle in his free time and trolls with the staff.
Gloria- The Artist who wears a happy mask, but it gets destroyed. She's usually sad and mopey. Her art is used as propaganda for how amazing Magnifico is. She gets picked on by Jackson due to her being an easy target.
Zion- The perfectionist sculptor who creates the images and statues of King Magnifico. Amaya tells Zion that the statue is crooked and told to destroy it, which infuriates Zion.
Missing People
Kasmo—The former Jester who tends to tell jokes even though they aren't funny, who disappeared a week ago before the story began. When they asked the Queen, she replied that he was asking too many questions and was exiled from the kingdom. He was close friends with Jackson.
Quinn- Karlow's wife who disappeared around the time Karlow went crazy. She and Karlow used to rule the kingdom before they were overthrown. Amya and Magnifico usurp the throne of the King and Queen of Ajedrez what Rosas used to be called.
Antagonists-
Magnifico appears as a benevolent ruler of Rosa who fulfills his people's desires. However, beneath his exterior lies a paranoid man who fears the downfall of his kingdom, haunted by the memory of greedy thieves who destroyed his previous home. Some view him as the antagonist for hoarding wishes, but in truth, he feels exploited by his townsfolk, who exploit his generosity for their selfish gains, while refusing to work on their dreams. Increasingly, he is manipulated by his wife. He derives his powers from a book, which slowly corrupts him as he relies on it for magic, ultimately learning that crushing wishes grants him more power and sustains his abilities. While he is troubled by this, he feels compelled to take desperate measures in dire circumstances.
Amaya is the Queen of Rosa, who pretends to be a kind ruler but in reality is a scheming, self-centered narcissist who will do anything to gain power. Initially, she was the second in command of a group of thieves who attacked Magnifico's old home and killed his sister Spettacolare. Later in life, she manipulates Magnifico into helping her find a home that grants her wishes. Together, they trick him into overthrowing the rulers of that kingdom and use a spell to make everyone forget the former king and queen. At the climax, she has a meltdown, eats the wishes, and transforms into a chimera with the features of a sphinx, goat, and snake. She is defeated by Walter, who seals her into a coin. She demands her husband to let her out, but he refuses, saying, "If our positions were reversed, you would have not done the same." He tosses the coin to Rats, who throws it into a well making a wish on it.
Laalach is a teenage girl who lives in Rosa and works as a tour guide. She shares her longing for her grandfather's wish to be fulfilled. Her personality is a mix of her yearning for her grandfather's wish to come true and her ambition to grant all kinds of wishes, regardless of their nature. As the story unfolds, she becomes increasingly unstable and eventually betrays her friends to fulfill her grandfather's wish. She is determined to become the next wish granter at any cost. Her end is that she is sent to the stars by a rocket that explodes into a star and then dies out with a small blink.
Sabo- waited 100 years to get his wish of inspiring the next generation to help him overthrow the kingdom of Corona. Using his magic flute he brainwashed the citizens to attack the traitors of the kingdom. Originally he is the leader of a group of thieves with his daughter Amya to kill the magic users. He controls the people with his magic lute. His demise is falling to his death not before getting hit in the face with his lute.
