"Land ahead!l"
The beaming Grecian sun pounded down onto the deck of the Adrestia as the ship hand called out to his commander. A tall, tanned form took charge at the helm, her hands on her hips, retorting, "Get that sail up!"
"Kassandra! You didn't tell me we were making a stop here! I would have prepared to party!" Barnabas joked with a scratchy laugh, his skinny arms bending as his hands rose to his hips in tandem with the captain.
"Well, I made a promise to bring the woman from Korinthia here for refuge," The Eagle-Bearer said with a somber look in her eyes, and nodded towards the gorgeous island of Mykonos, vividly remembering her previous time there and how it had ended so bittersweet for her. This island was home to the unforgettable Kyra…and Theletas, her Spartan lover. Kassandra frowned deeply at the thought and memory, but shook it just as quickly as they rowed up to dock at the bustling port.
The ship came to a lurching halt in docking position and Kassandra's sandals were on the dock as soon as they were near enough.
"Commander is leaving the helm!" Barnabas barked as she leapt ashore.
Kassandra was certainly glad to be dressed lightly, for it was especially hot in the islands on the especially hot day. She was in simple travelers leathers and a light tunic-dress, just enough armor to hold her spear and bow. Even in the light garb, sweat coated her tanned, glowing skin.
She gave the beautiful port a once over, eyes scanning for familiar faces, for Kyra's face, half hoping she would see her somewhere, but that hope faded quickly as she remembered giving Theletas the respect of not pursuing Kyra when she had the chance. Nausea arose in her stomach as she remembered what it was like to be near her. Even now, she could have sworn she could feel her presence miles away.
She was snapped from her thoughts as Herodotos stepped onto the dock beside her, looking wise with his hands behind his back as he looked up at the temple atop the high point of the island.
"I wonder what memories Mykonos has in store for us this time." He turned to the misthios and gave a sincere, closed -lipped smile and bowed slightly in her direction, before striding off down the dock to his own accord, disappearing into the stream of people bustling about. Kassandra took a deep breath and looked up at the temple, golden amber eyes squinting into the sun.
"Me too," she said to no one.
…
The climb up to the temple was quick for her, and when she reached the walkway that overlooked the port, she reveled in its beauty as she took a seat on the smooth stone ledge, her back leaning against one of the rosy colored pillars that adorned the structure. She hummed as the sea breeze caught her and cooled her skin. She didn't know why she felt the urge to go to the temple first, but she sat there for a while, nearly in a state of meditation by the time she was jolted from her daze.
"Do my eyes play tricks on me?" A familiar voice suddenly brought Kassandra to full attention and she shot up, hand moving to the handle of her spear for just a moment, before she met the eyes she had feared looking into again. There was Kyra, standing proud as ever, beaming at the misthios. Kassandra felt her mouth twitch at the sight of the lover she never truly had. Unspoken feelings still swam in her belly and tingled up the back of her neck as she took in the exotic woman she had embarrassingly ached for longer than she would ever have admitted.
Finally she opened her mouth to speak, "I thought I heard someone approaching…"
"Misthios," she all but purred with a rich laugh, "You betray yourself! Because you know, deep down," Kyra paused and smirked, unable to hide it as she cocked her head a bit, "that no one's steps are as loud as yours."
Kassandra let out a dry laugh, was this some sort of joke? Perhaps a test? Kyra really wasted no time making Kassandra feel at an end with her feelings, and making it unclear just what she was wanting. Her playful gaze looked Kassandra up and down, seeing hesitation in her eyes, and her gaze softened.
"I'm sorry I—it's just been a long time since we said goodbye and…well I hope you and Theletas are still happy and I hope he is good to you." She couldn't help but try to show she wasn't going to insert herself where she had come in second. Kyra shifted and nodded, pressing her lips together and letting out a breath.
"He is fine…" Kyra trailed off, shrugging, her eyes catching Kassandra's again. She paused and looked down at her hands, "We are doing alright."
"Just alright? I thought Theletas and you would be attached at the hip!" Kassandra remarked, crossing her arms with a tilt of her head.
Kyra shrugged again and cast her eyes to the side, "Agh, he's kind to me when we don't argue and bicker, which is alright, but he's so…" She reeled for the right word. Kassandra raised her brows awaiting her next words. "Boring!" Kyra exclaimed as if she needed to get it off of her chest.
She had to laugh at her own admission. Ever since Kassandra had left the island, Kyra could not deny she had thought of the misthios often. She remembered the loss of her father, as bad a man as he was, and how Kassandra had been the one there beside her as she mourned his loss, not Theletas. Kassandra had been the one to wrap her arms around her and lift her spirits during and after the rebellion. Theletas did nothing during those times but try to insert his Spartan agenda on their strategies. He was a good man, sure, but was he proving to be worth the hurt dealt to the woman that sat beside her now?
"Surely it's not so bad?" She asked.
Kassandra tried not to seem pleased that things were not so perfect in paradise as she listened, her own chest twisting with memories, and the prospect of making new ones. She felt the familiar vibrance that came with being near Kyra again, she felt the way Kyra was looking at her. She felt those eyes burning into her.
"I should not speak ill of him…the gods would not smile on me," Kyra said soundly, deciding it was far too easy to open up to Kassandra. She had seen the Adrestia come into port all the way from where she had spotted it on the horizon. The truth was, she had spent a lot of time looking for the Adrestia on the horizon in the time Kassandra had been away.
Now that she was back, that same life essence she craved and missed had flooded her emotions and led her to meet Kassandra there at the temple. She could not keep away and it was a scary thought at what feelings were waiting in the shadows of their yearning.
"You look really beautiful, Archon." Kassandra said, her words flowing like silk in Kyra's ears. Even for how tan she was, Kyra actually blushed. Her hair had grown longer and was flowing freely aside from a small half ponytail. Her dark eyes glimmered at the compliment as she gave Kassandra a once-over.
"Don't call me that. And you look as divine as the day you walked into my hideout," Kyra allowed herself, biting her lip when she realized how forward she sounded. Kassandra relaxed a bit and let out a light laugh, glancing at Kyra with a softness in her eyes.
"I'll never forget the greeting that almost killed me!" She grinned, remembering the blade Kyra had expertly thrown right in front of Kassandra's nose.
"How about I make it up to you by having a feast tonight to greet my favorite misthios properly?" Kyra asked with a coy smile. Kassandra was weak for that mischievous look in her eyes. That look haunted her on her nights alone. And when she did have a woman to keeps her warm at night, she found herself consumed with the dream of knowing Kyra in that way.
"Will Theletas be there? Will he mind?" Kassandra asked, standing up and adjusting her dress and weapons.
Kyra laughed dryly, "Would you believe me if I told you he is over on Keos? Working out our alliance with Xenia to help protect all of the Silver Islands. I expect he will be there for the next couple of days."
Kassandra smiled with her mouth open, unable to fight a laugh in the face of the Fates. "At this point nothing surprises me any more," she said under her breath. Fate was truly on her side, it seemed.
"What did you say?" Kyra asked.
"I said um, all right, I would love a feast!" She fibbed, not wanting to admit her thoughts.
Kyra grinned excitedly, "I will have my people start preparing then! Do you need a place to stay? I have extra rooms."
Kassandra hesitated, not sure if she should say yes or no. By accepting, she may very well set herself on a course that may very well have consequences. Being back on Mykonos though, seeing the radiance of the island and Kyra…it was intoxicating.
"I haven't slept in a real bed in months," she admitted, nodding in acceptance. "Okay, I'll take you up on that. When do we feast?"
Kyra giggled at Kassandra's directness, responding, "Give my people a few hours and we will be feasting like Kings! In the meantime do you want me to show you to your room? I have taken over the leader house where my father was living and I have made it my home!"
"I don't see why not," Kassandra found herself agreeing to her offer once again. They stood together and Kyra started down the walkway leading down the high hilltop, Kassandra walking in tow, and not without sneaking a glance at Kyra's perfect backside. Just because she couldn't pursue her feelings didn't mean she couldn't appreciate what was right in front of her, right?
"Kassandra, I have to say, I didn't think I would ever see you again. I know your work is…important. And I knew it would take you far, far away," Kyra started, "I am just glad you are here." She stopped herself before she said something more revealing.
Kassandra sensed her withholding but decided not to press the matter. She needed to tread carefully, for if things opened up too much, she and Kyra both knew what would come of it.
"I wasn't expecting to be coming back, if I'm telling the truth," she said, "but I am very happy that the Fates decided otherwise."
They walked on through the port and up to the leader house on the western shore, all while Kyra asked about Kassandra's travels since last they met. Kassandra told her of the Battle of One Hundred Hands, of her time in Korinthia and Arcadia and even Lakonia. Before she could tell too many tales, though, they were strolling through the doorframe that led into the luxurious home. It reminded Kassandra of the homes in Athens. It was certainly different from the cave Kyra had been living in.
The brazen island leader quietly led Kassandra up to the second floor where they entered a bedroom Kassandra recognized from when she had been there to assassinate Podarkes. It was redecorated with wilder colors and furnishings, at Kyra's demand. A large, sturdy bed now occupied the space where it had not before.
"The last time I was in this room, your father told me that you should have killed him…" Kassandra strode into the space and looked around, then looked at Kyra, their eyes meeting. "But I think he is undeserving of such a wonderful fate." She cracked a half-smile.
Kyra nodded somberly, but smiled up at the misthios nonetheless, "Will you be happy sleeping here?"
Kassandra knew what she wanted to say. But what she wanted to say couldn't leave her lips. She had to settle for a sincere nod instead.
"I'm going to go make sure our feast will be ready in time. Just make yourself at home, and if you want just meet me where we celebrated the rebellion once the sun starts to set? Maybe we can finally have some of that wine you stole for me?" Kyra's face broke into a wider smile as she lingered by the doorway.
"The wine I stole from the soldiers on Delos? You still have it?" Kassandra asked with surprise.
Kyra laughed out loud, "Alright, so I don't have the exact wine. But I do have some very fine wine that I would love to share with you, Kassandra." She had a genuine look about her this time.
"I'm sure you would!" The Eagle-Bearer teased. She couldn't help but smile as she stepped over to the balcony window to look back towards the port, hands on her hips.
"Just be lucky I offered! I'll see you tonight, misthios," Kyra said, maintaining a coy smile as she bowed out and left Kassandra alone in the guest room.
With a long breath, Kassandra kicked her sandals off and laid her spear under the pillows on the bed as she sat on its edge. Her extraordinary body stretched up to relieve some tension and she let out a tired sigh. She was nervous about the feast later, and how Kyra would act. Given how this visit had started, Kassandra fell back onto the bed as images of her desires flooded her mind. She heard Ikaros land on the balcony railing and squawk to get her attention.
"Ikaros…" She said, eyes growing heavy, "Wake me when the feast is starting.." And with her mind lost in her fantasies she drifted off for the rest of the day.
Zzzz
Kassandra shot up from the bed, her consciousness snapping to focus as she realized Ikaros was standing on her chest, nibbling at her hair and ears as a means to wake her.
"Fuck. I hope I'm not late. I was sleeping like the dead," she muttered. Ikaros squeaked at her and leapt off, flapping out to the balcony again. "Is it time for dinner?"
She stood up and stretched before pulling on her traveler's sandals, followed by her spear, and leaving her bow behind. She cursed under her breath as she noticed the lights in the distance coming from the pavilion where the feast was being held.
"I am late. Shit, shit, shit!" As quickly as she could, she got a running start and leapt flawlessly from the balcony and landed with a firm THUMP on the dusty trail leading back to the market and port. She fell perfectly into a long, athletic stride, running at nearly full pace to reach the feast and find Kyra. She breathed hard but steadily as she ran and dipped and jumped her way through civilians and crowded walkways. It didn't take long before she was entering the pavilion, her glowing golden eyes searching for her beautiful host.
"Kassandra!! Please tell me you're getting as drunk as the rest of us, tonight?!" Barnabas said gleefully as he left the group of rebels he had been catching up with to greet his dear friend as she took in the feast that had been quickly put together. Though, by the looks of it, one would never be able to tell it was a last minute plan.
"I'm glad you got wind of the party, someone needs to act like a fool! And I don't think anyone needs to see me get too drunk!" Kassandra joked.
"How could I resist a celebration on such a gorgeous island!" He all but shouted with joy.
Musicians played sweet melodies off to the side of the wine table, and all kinds of food were spread on another long table, from fish, venison, and boar, to exotic fruits and goat cheese, and more. She stepped through a small mass of people, but still saw no Kyra.
Kassandra smiled and put a long hand on Barnabas' shoulder, "Kyra put this together."
"She seems to have won her people over as the Archon!" Barnabas chirped, looking around at all of the happy party goers.
"She has. And at least she isn't a pirate!l" Kassandra joked, snagging a candied pear from the table of delicious looking foods. She bit into the sweet treat and hummed at the perfect sweetness, devouring it in a few bites.
"Are you satisfied with your party?" Asked that fiery voice that could only belong to Kyra. Kassandra turned to look over her shoulder and took in the divine woman standing there. She always stood like she was looking for a challenge or a debate, and Kassandra found it so alluring.
"What are you staring at, misthios?" There she went again, purring that word like a sound of pleasure as she smirked and strode over to them. Barnabas was quick to bow out and make himself scarce, wanting to give Kassandra a bit of privacy to speak with Kyra. She straightened up as Kyra moved closer, her eyes betraying her cool demeanor as they glimmered at the sight of the misthios.
"You really do know how to throw a great party!" Kassandra smiled, gesturing towards the crowd of islanders who were already teeming with laughter and dance.
"Your return was a good excuse!" Kyra shrugged with a cocky, pleased look.
"My return…and why is that? Are You just not having enough fun without me?" Kassandra found herself smiling cockily back, nudging Kyra's arm.
Kyra smiled widely and tilted her head, noticing Kassandra didn't have a drink yet. "Well we definitely won't have as much fun without sharing that wine we talked about!" She stated and stepped over to the wine table to fetch two chalices, but she didn't fill them, oddly enough.
"What are we supposed to drink?" Kassandra asked with a laugh as the beautiful leader returned to her side. Kyra smiled knowingly and shrugged at the Eagle-Bearer as she willed the taller woman to follow her past the crowd towards the path that led out of the back of the pavilion. Now Kassandra's nerves tingled at the idea of Kyra taking her somewhere private.
She could feel that Kyra was not satisfied with Theletas. That had to be true or else she wouldn't be leading her off away from prying eyes. She did not wish to cross the Spartan man, for he hadn't done anything to truly wring Kassandra. That was, except for loving Kyra. She only felt the pure envy of his closeness with the woman walking in front of her. The sway of her hips and lightness in her step made Kassandra feel the heat of desire rising again like the tide that crashed all around the island.
"Won't everyone wonder where we are?" Kassandra tried feebly, still walking with her, lips pressing together nervously.
"They won't realize any thing, they just want to eat and drink and dance," Kyra gave a dismissive wave back towards the party as they made it out of earshot.
"Sounds like a great time, so what are we doing?" She tried again as they neared the beach.
"I promised you we would share some very fine wine, and I don't want anyone trying to get in on my private reserves!" Kyra hesitated in her reply, as it came out more as an excuse than a real reason. She was not even sure why she was so eagerly leading Kassandra down the gorgeous shoreline by themselves. It was an unfiltered desire she had felt since the mercenary had returned. They made their way around the northern tip of the island near some ruins that Kassandra recognized very easily, and on the tip of the shore, sat the remains of a wrecked ship against some of the crumbling stone walls that scattered the beach.
Kyra led her to a nice spot where a campfire pit had been made by another a long while before, along with some blankets on the sandthat she may or may not have known would be there. It made for a very private and cozy spot for them to sit down. Kassandra laughed in surprise when Kyra strode over to a low wall where a small wooden crate was stashed and she revealed it to contain her finest wine jug.
"Did you plan to bring me here?" Kassandra asked, ever forthright. Kyra blushed and swallowed hard.
"Perhaps I did, and so? Maybe I felt like giving the hero of this island a special treatment of wine with a nice view, and this happens to be my favorite place to be on the island." She tried to seem casual, but Kyra did not really have a good reason for bringing Kassandra there. She poured their wine trying to distract from her feelings, but her face betrayed her once more and Kassandra was quick to notice.
She watched as Kyra distractedly and haphazardly built a small campfire to warm them, she didn't speak as she struggled to spark the flint onto the kindling for a frustrating few moments. Kassandra allowed her to get it started, herself, without offering to help. Besides, seeing her so determined was cute. After a few more attempts, the fire was ignited.
"Kyra…why did we really come here? Not that it isn't beautiful, and the wine would make Dionysus proud to drink it," Kassandra began, carefully looking to meet dark eyes with her own. Kyra bit her lip and let her eyes look up. Kassandra's intense gaze was so disarming, and she knew then why she needed Kassandra alone. Just as she had needed to see the Adrestia on her horizon after months and months and months away.
"Kassandra I—as soon as I saw your ship again, I felt…I felt alive and on fire and like," she paused, feeling shame at her next thought, "like I wished Theletas had never even come here. And I don't feel as badly as I should for thinking that and now you know."
Kassandra had to admit, she wasn't expecting everything to be laid out so suddenly but she felt her heart leaping with a brightness and pulling inside her. The wind left her lungs as she absorbed what she had heard, her eyes never leaving Kyra.
"I don't want Theletas to be hurt but I would be lying if I said I had not dreamed you would tell me these things," she said earnestly. They sipped their wine and found themselves in a moment of silence. Kassandra found a wall to lean against as she sat back on the blanket, muscled thighs stretched out in front of herself.
"You did?" Kyra asked, even though she already had a feeling Kassandra would feel the same.
Kassandra nodded, taking another drink, unable to give a dishonest answer. Her whole body was coming alive with the warmth of Kyra's words, and the anticipation of what would happen next.
Kyra eyed the misthios, feeling hunger for intimacy clawing at her gut. The glow of the fire illuminated Kassandra's golden skin and eyes, and the cords of muscle that covered her body took Kyra's breath away, wondering what it would feel like to be wrapped in those godly arms. More desires filled her mind, much more lustful desires. Desires she never got from Theletas during sex, despite their fiery banter which could easily be used to create sexual tension, but somehow never was. Their intimacy had grown boring in the time they had been together. He was simply as adequate as any other man she had bed before. Selfish and quick to finish.
"So, if we could go back to the night before I left…what would you have done differently?" Kassandra looked right at Kyra, her lips slightly parted and warmed from the wine. Her eyes darted from Kyra's eyes, to her lips, and back, never having tasted her kiss, but always remembering the kiss she had received on her cheek when she backed down the first time their feelings came to light. This time, she decided, she would not be backing down if Kyra made a move.
Kyra paused, her mouth formed into the smallest, sweetest smile, and her eyes batted at Kassandra, before taking a long, draining drink of her wine. She put her chalice down by the wine jug and sat up on her knees, hands resting on her exposed thighs. Kassandra watched carefully, eyebrows slightly raised. Her heart pounded as Kyra crawled forward suddenly, but slowly.
"Misthios," she said, closer to a whisper. Her hands found Kassandra's toned thighs and slid up from her knees, to the crook of her thighs; there was a sudden gasp at the contact as Kyra found her confidence again. She could no longer resist her deep seated temptation as she met Kassandra's eyes again, their faces now only a palm's-width apart.
"I want you," Kassandra said almost inaudibly, but Kyra heard her perfectly clear, and just like that, she closed the gap between them in what was the fiercest kiss. Kyra's hands squeezed at Kassandra's thighs in a jerk reaction and they both moaned into the kiss. Kassandra discarded her chalice completely and brought her hands up to hold Kyra's face, deepening the kiss as the smaller woman slid onto her lap, a thigh on either side of her hips.
Kassandra welcomed the move and slid one hand down Kyra's side and over her hip while the other gently held Kyra's jaw in a dominant manner, but not with much force. Her grasp was enough to make Kyra moan into her mouth as eager hips pressed into her own. She smiled greedily as the moan went into her mouth and it opened to taste more of Kyra's irresistible lips and tongue. She felt Kyra's hands grip at her traveling leathers that were strapped across her chest, blindly unclasping the straps until she could rip it from the misthios' body.
Kassandra leaned forward to ease the removal of her leather armor so there was no time wasted in reattaching her mouth to Kyra's. The beautiful, fiery woman slid her hands up Kassandra's strong chest to hold the misthios' face in her hands, but was met with long fingers clasping around each of her wrists, pulling them away.
Kyra huffed and pulled at an attempt to free her arms from Kassandra's iron grip, but failed miserably. "What is this malakas?" Kyra hissed, glaring down at a cocky-faced Kassandra. The misthios pulled Kyra's arms behind her back and held them there with one hand, the other went slithering up Kyra's thigh.
"I wanted to show you a physical representation of how it felt, not being g able to have you last we met, Kyra." Kassandra's voice was so melodic and rich, it flooded into Kyra's ears like a siren and she found herself willing to bend at Kassandra's will. The sudden dominance made her heart pound with excitement of being restrained. She would never relinquish control in her daily life, but Kassandra sure had her wanting to give up all of her control in that moment, just to let the misthios tell her to do anything at all.
Her breath caught in her throat as the warrior's hand came inches of her center under her signature short black dress. Kyra wasn't wearing undergarments of any sort, and the skilled hand caressed and squeezed her smooth skin, but refused to move closer to where her wetness pooled. She surged with arousal and tried again to wriggle free from the hand which held her arms. Again, she failed as Kassandra laughed under her breath. Kyra wasn't used to feeling so helpless and was still deciding if she wanted to bite back or not.
Kassandra had a glowing look about her normally dark amber eyes, which were now closer to gold as her arousal swelled inside her. She felt like a starved predator ready to ravage her prey. Kyra looked at her defiantly, but still with a playful way about her, still cocky as ever.
Kassandra withdrew her hand from Kyra's thigh and brought it up to pull her in for another kiss. The rebellion leader leaned into the kiss, catching Kassandra off guard with a firm bite to the lower lip, drawing bit of blood from it, before sticking her tongue out in a mocking gesture as Kassandra reared back with a hiss, allowing Kyra to pull her arms free at last.
"Oh you think you're cunning?" Kassandra cocked a brow at the challenge, wiping the blood from her mouth, and then suddenly, with unforeseen speed, flipped Kyra onto her back with a thud across the luxurious blankets on the sand. Kyra all but squealed with delight.
"Mhmm!" Kyra nodded quickly, eyes darkening with lust, her arms slacked above her head as she brought her legs up to wrap tightly around Kassandra's waist, adding, "I'm not just cunning, you'll learn."
Kassandra pressed into her and kissed hungrily up Kyra's neck with a growl, her hands moving up the length of Kyra's still-clothed body, aching to feel more of her divine skin. Her teeth sunk into Kyra's neck without a thought and she bit and sucked while whines of raspy pleasure left her lips.
"Take this malakes shit off," Kassandra demanded, sitting up on her knees so Kyra may also rise enough to remove the only clothing in her way. Kyra obeyed, and sat up with a lift of her hips and pulled the dress over her head.
Her dark tan skin glowed in the light of the fire and her face followed every movement while Kassandra's posture straightened up to drink in Kyra's stunning body. It curved gracefully between supple, round breasts, and a soft, flat stomach that led golden eyes down to flawless hips that framed a perfect mound between her legs. Her mouth watered at the sight.
With no words, Kassandra crawled over her, breathing deeply as she inhaled her scent. Her nearly-yellow eyes held Kyra's shimmering brown orbs as she kissed her deeply again. This time she was the one who was stopped from progressing as Kyra put her hands on Kassandra's defined collarbone and pushed back, shaking her head.
"I don't think so, misthios. Not until you are undressed, too. You don't know how badly I want to see what you look like underneath," she pulled at Kassandra's tunic with a grin and was pleased when Kassandra returned to her knees to pull the dress off. She felt those eyes on her as she tossed the garment aside, unaware of the pending ambush about to happen.
It was then that Kyra struck. She nearly leapt across and tackled Kassandra backwards onto the blanket as soon as the tunic dress was cast aside, and pinned her down using all of her weight. Somehow, it still didn't feel like enough weight to keep the misthios bound.
Kassandra protested as soon as it happened but looked up at the proud woman with a smirk. "So that is how it's going to be?"
Kyra nodded seductively, leaning down to kiss and bite at Kassandra's smaller breasts, the skin soft and warm in her mouth. The mercenary moaned a bit and felt Kyra's wetness grind down onto her lower stomach. She wanted to reach down between them and touch her, taste her, but Kyra's hands still held her arms down with all her weight. Sure, she could have easily broken free, but allowed Kyra to maintain her hold.
Instead of breaking free, she settled for meeting the vixen in another heated kiss. Teeth bit and nipped at each other's lips, moans slipped between them and they both became restless for release. Keeping her control, Kyra finally pulled back and kissed her way down Kassandra's hardened body, worshiping it to no end as she neared the wet center between thighs of steel. She pushed Kassandra's knees apart and dipped her back to show off her ass for the misthios who was leaning up on her elbows now, enjoying the view of Kyra settling between her legs and staring intently up at her.
"You look so divine, Kassandra. You really do something to me that no one else does," she paused to kiss the line of Kassandra's hip, admiring its definition. "Not even Theletas. I should have seen that before and I just want to say…" Kyra lifted up a bit to look Kassandra more head on, "I'm sorry if I hurt you. I hope I can make it up to you. Starting now!"
Kyra didn't expect a response, she only smiled widely as she returned her focus to the pooling desire between Kassandra's legs. She licked her lips with readiness and let her tongue reach through soft curls into wet folds of perfection. Kyra's eyes fluttered at the perfect taste and she wrapped her hands around Kassandra's thighs as the misthios moaned at first contact. Kassandra's long fingers reached down to thread into Kyra's soft, wavy hair, holding it up off of her neck so Kyra could concentrate.
"You taste so, so good…" Kyra said, her voice thick with desire. Her tongue moved slowly and deeply against Kasandra, and the misthios allowed her head to fall back as she served her. Her tongue was like a beacon of energy, streaming right into her and sending bliss throughout her body. She managed to look back down at her lover, in awe at the minx-like beauty between her legs.
Kassandra let out a breathy moan as Kyra brought her fingers up to stroke over her clit, her mouth hovering with a smile. Her hips bucked under Kyra's smooth touch and gentle teasing around her entrance. She flicked her tongue over Kassandra again, trying to draw desperation out of the misthios.
"Kassandra, you know if you want something, you can ask me for it." Kyra looked coy as she licked at Kassandra before and after her statement. A moan of frustration could be heard and Kyra giggled, and drug her fingers up Kassandra's naval line.
"I think you know exactly what I want." Kassandra didn't want to give in.
"Do I? Seeing as we have never pleasured one another, it's bold of you to say so! You always were bold. That's what I like about you." Kyra continued to brush her mouth on and around the throbbing wetness and it reached a point where Kassandra couldn't take it any more.
"Malaka! Stop screwing around and finish me, right now!" She was growing quite impatient, and her face grew hot with her restlessness as she saw the satisfaction on Kyra's face from teasing her.
Kyra bit down on Kassandra's inner thigh, hard, and shook her head, "No."
"Kyra for the love of Aphrodite, please…." The last word was nearly inaudible as it left Kassandra's mouth.
"That's it," Kyra whispered against slick skin, and just like that, she dipped two fingers inside of the champion before her.
"Shit..yes…that's it," Kassandra moaned deeply. Her chin cast upwards and her hands tightened in Kyra's black hair, tight enough that the young leader whimpered under Kassandra's grip, and thrusted harder into her. Toned hips rose and fell against Kyra's hand, which kept pace as the famed Eagle-Bearer moaned up at the sky as her orgasm drew near.
"Please," there was that trigger word again, "Don't stop."
Kyra loved hearing her say please and for that, rewarded the misthios by pumping even harder, using her tongue in tandem to bring Kassandra to an explosive release that ended in her trembling thighs and curses into the night air. Kyra withdrew her hand from Kassandra's tightened center, bringing it to her lips up to taste more. She hummed with delight and crawled up to lean across a heaving chest.
"What in the world have I been doing, being away for so long?" Kassandra asked rhetorically with a breathless grin as she lay, stirring in her orgasm with her eyes fixed on the stars. Kyra smiled and slid up more to observe the other woman's defined, statuesque face. Meanwhile her hand danced across Kassandra's taught abdomen, craving more. After a few peaceful moments, Kassandra was back from her stupor of ecstasy and ready to assert her prowess.
Her elegant, long fingers ran down the length of Kyra's back and savored the feeling of soft skin that was littered with goosebumps from the night air. Kyra looked at Kassandra's lips and moved in for another drawn out, sensual kiss. Kyra pressed into the body beneath her, and felt strong hands pull her up to climb on top of the misthios once more. Kassandra sat up with ease, propping herself up against the half wall behind her, keeping her hands planted on Kyra's backside as they adjusted.
"My turn," she husked, leaving their kiss to bury her face in Kyra's breasts, humming at the silky skin under her lips as she found a nipple and took it in her mouth. Her hands roamed confidently over Kyra's curves and up her long back. She couldn't help but dig her nails into Kyra's shoulder blades and drag them down a little bit as her mouth became more aggressive in its biting. She found a soft spot on Kyra's chest and bit down, sucking hard and waiting until her lover whimpered from the pain before finally pulling back, admiring the dark bruise where her mouth had been.
Kyra's hands held Kassandra's face and neck in her hands, a fiery pulse beating against her palms. The burning of Kassandra's nails dragging against her skin made her hiss in pain at first but she found herself wanting more of the pain that stemmed from Kassandra's lust. She rolled her hips down, wishing for a moment that Kassandra had something else between her legs to rub herself on. The idea made her face grow hot and she pulled from the kiss to meet Kassandra's eyes once more.
"What?" Kassandra asked softly, reaching up to brush some of Kyra's hair from her face with surprising gentleness.
Kyra shook her head, not wanting to admit the image she had just pictured in her mind. "Nothing," she blushed deeper and her face cracked in a bashful smile: a look that Kyra rarely wore.
"You can tell me, I am not judging you," the misthios smiled reassuringly. She could see Kyra's head swimming and cocked her own to the side.
"I'm afraid you will take it the wrong way…" Kyra took a deep breath and looked up at the sky and back to Kassandra, "I was imagining…" she paused again, "I was picturing if you had a um, you know…" She glanced down between them. Kassandra raised her brows as a taken aback look washed over her. It was not what she expected to hear, but she admittedly liked the idea of fucking without using her hands, and dreamed of how it would feel.
"Wasn't what expected you to say! But..come to think of it, it would make doing this a lot easier," Kassandra smirked, putting her right hand between Kyra's legs and pushing her first and middle fingers inside the smaller woman with ease. She was soaked in arousal and she moaned in surprise at the long digits that now pressed into that perfect spot.
"Oh, Kassandra.." Kyra mewed, sinking into her touch and closing her eyes, her own hands squeezing muscular shoulders in pleasure. "My gods, your fingers feel so good.."
Kassandra's smirk grew into an open-mouthed grin as she let loose on her lover, holding her just so, giving herself a perfect reach to thrust into her. She knew what Kyra wanted. Kyra wanted to be fucked and fucked hard, so that is what she set out to do. Her fingers pumped expertly and with some force, while Kyra matched her energy by riding her fingers with each movement. Their mouths met again, opening slightly to touch tongues as soft lips played around each other.
They found a rhythm and locked eyes as sweaty foreheads came to rest on one another. Kyra reveled in the rippling muscles of Kassandra's arms as they fucked, feeling the raw power coming from the misthios. Still, she craved more intensity. Suddenly Kyra stopped and feverishly moved off of Kassandra's lap, causing a look of brief confusion from Kassandra, but it soon changed to understanding as Kyra moved to face the half wall beside them, sticking her backside out.
"Take me like this," Kyra all but demanded, looking over her shoulder with urgency on her face. Kassandra rolled up onto her knees and came up behind the gorgeous island leader. Her hands slid up the backs of her tanned thighs and her fingers took their rightful place inside her again, causing her to bend over the wall. Kassandra took her free hand and slid it through Kyra's hair, pulling her head backwards so Kassandra's mouth may reach an exposed neck while she resumed her ruthless thrusting. The darker skinned woman cried out in pleasure, begging Kassandra to keep going, as her body followed her desperate moans.
Kassandra felt her ego inflate as Kyra begged her not to stop. She was moving with such vigor now, she was surprised the wall was still holding up under her thrusts. They sounded like animals in the night, moaning and saying each other's names as she pumped and pumped, wet flesh gripping at her fingers. Then she gave a final devastating movement into her lover, burying her fingers as Kyra was sent to oblivion in her orgasm.
Her center gushed suddenly with a rush of her own fluid, soaking Kassandra's hand as she whimpered against the wall. She gripped the stone until her knuckles were white.
"Gods…my gods…" Kyra rasped, falling limp over the crumbling stone.
"Yes?" Kassandra replied cleverly, pulling her fingers away with a whimper from Kyra, who quickly turned around at her words and looked at her as if challenged, her chest still heaving.
"Let me clean up my mess, goddess of my heart," she batted her eyes to distract from the deep blush on her face. She glanced at Kassandra's wet right hand and reached down, looking deeply into her eyes, and took Kassandra's fingers into her mouth, sucking and lapping at them until they were clean. She finished with a chaste kiss and a pat to Kassandra's chest, smiling teasingly. It took all of Kassandra's power not to pounce on her again. She watched hungrily as Kyra slid down to lay back on the blankets, propped on her elbows, beckoning Kassandra to crawl over her with inviting eyes. Kassandra braced herself above Kyra, pressing their bodies together in an intimate embrace.
"You're so beautiful," Kassandra found herself saying, her glimmering eyes looking over her lean form. Kyra bit her lip and kissed Kassandra's cheek, wishing the moment to last forever as she reached up to hold Kassandra's face where she had kissed.
"You are everything, Kassandra. I'm so happy you came back," Kyra said in a softer than usual voice. She leaned in so they were nose to nose.
"You flatter me," Kassandra smiled, licking her lips, "I'm lucky to be here with you."
"Come here."
…
They went on like that all night, communing with Aphrodite under the stars and talking about everything and nothing, but by sunrise, their bellies hungered for food and they were both feeling the weight of sleep deprivation on their heads. They dressed and headed up to the leader house, slipping in separately as to not give away their late night affair. Kassandra hung back around the port for an hour or so before returning.
…
By the time Kassandra arrived at the house, Kyra had various foods brought up for the misthios to eat, and a large wash tub was now in the guest room, already filled with steaming hot water, ready for Kassandra to bathe if she needed. Kyra had everything in order for the warrior to eat and relax. She had even taken the liberty of sending away all of the help who usually worked inside the house after they prepared the bath.
"All this for me?" Kassandra looked impressed at how quickly she had arranged everything as she stepped into the room.
Kyra nodded proudly, "You work hard. You deserve the best I can offer as my guest."
Kassandra looked around, making sure they were truly alone, and then stepped into Kyra's space, hands finding hips with ease and pulling them close. Kyra gasped and let her hands come up to Kassandra's chest.
"Eagle-Bearer, we could be seen!" She play-whispered, even though she was certain they were alone on the premises save for a few guards on the perimeter. Kassandra leaned down to kiss along her neck, which still smelled of sweat and sand from their night on the beach.
"Take a bath with me?" Kassandra asked, yet somehow she still managed to make it sound like a statement.
Kyra blushed and glanced at the huge tub and then back at Kassandra, "Do I stink?" She grinned as she asked. Kassandra playfully took a long smell into her hair and neck again, savoring the scent.
"You smell good to me. I can still smell last night on you," Kassandra breathed, kissing below her ear.
"I didn't know you were such a heathen," she winked up at the taller woman. Kassandra laughed lightly.
"It's not my fault I like how I smell on you," she remarked cleverly. "Now, about that bath?"
Kyra kissed her cheek and nodded with an excited smile. She was more than excited to get into the hot water. They watched each other strip down and stepped in tandem towards the tub. Before getting in, Kassandra finally let her hair fall out of its usual braid and her long, thick hair came falling with ethereal beauty around her shoulders as Kyra watched in awe.
"Don't let Athena see you looking so perfect. She would be jealous!" Kyra remarked, causing Kassandra to blush.
Kassandra climbed in first, then Kyra, allowing the smaller of them to sink in between Kassandra's legs. They leaned back together and sighed in pleasure at the relief in their muscles.
Kyra closed her eyes at the feeling of the strong body behind her, and when Kassandra draped her arms around her shoulders, she hummed with delight. Her own hands came up to caress the forearms that crossed over her collarbone, placing several kisses where her mouth could reach.
"This bath is fit for a king! Thanks for having it made," Kassandra sighed in pleasure. Her head fell back and she let Kyra sink into her, knees bending up to cradle her between them.
"I want to stay here forever," Kyra said, her voice showing a hint of sadness behind her contentment. Kassandra felt the energy shift and reached over to the wooden stand by the tub to grab the bar of fancy Egyptian-made soap Kyra had set out. She gently leaned up so Kyra would also lean forward.
Without words, she started washing Kyra's back with a loving touch. Her heart tugged as she thought of what would come of this affair. Theletas would be returning within a day and there was still a lot of things Kassandra had to take care of. She wielded the Staff of Hermes now, and she knew, deep down, that she had a much bigger role in life than anyone she would ever love again. It was vastly overwhelming at times.
The sound of Kyra humming under her touch brought her back to the moment and she continued her washing. She moved to scrub Kyra's arms and down into the water to reach taught thighs. She smiled adoringly as her hands brought the soap around Kyra's torso and over her breasts and stomach, all of which was welcomed with soft moans of relaxation. As she finished, Kyra got up just enough to turn around in the grandiose tub, so she could pull Kassandra's knees over her thighs as they met face to face. Kyra leaned over and kissed Kassandra's cheek, taking the soap from her and returning the favor.
As she was washed by she tried to recall a time when she had ever been so intimate with another. Sex was one thing, sure, but real, tangible intimacy that she could cherish? She was certain that she had only experienced this feeling with her first love from her young days on Kephallonia. Kyra gleamed and looked over Kassandra's shoulder at the food on the wooden side table nearest to the tub, eyeing it but unable to reach it.
"My love, would you pass me some fruit? I'm starving." Kyra leaned her head up to bat her eyes at Kassandra.
"Your love?" She couldn't stop from smiling at the term of endearment. Kyra shrugged and kept looking towards the platter of food.
"Shut up and hand me those grapes," Kyra blushed.
"That's not a very nice way to ask!" Kassandra laughed as she extended her arm out to grab a bunch of ripe red grapes. She brought them to Kyra's face, dangling them there for her to take one with her mouth. Kyra met her eyes and opened her mouth just enough to take a grape from the vine, smiling with her lips closed as it burst in her mouth. She eagerly snatched a couple more as Kassandra watched dreamily.
They shared more food as they soaked, never wanting to get out of the tub, but they knew they had to return to people sooner or later, though they both dreaded it. The water was lukewarm now and they had climbed out of the tub, toweling dry and getting dressed, when there was a knock at the doorframe. Kyra jumped at the sound and fearfully looked to see one of her house maidens there, looking a bit worried, but nodded respectfully at both women.
"Kyra…I am sorry to interrupt," she began hesitantly, "Theletas has returned. He is at the port waiting for you…"
Kassandra and Kyra shared a look and Kyra nodded at the young woman, "We will be down soon. Please keep this to yourself," she added. The maiden nodded obediently and scurried off to give them privacy again. Kyra let out a groan, now rushing to put her sandals on and fix her damp hair.
"You go, I'll finish cleaning this up and I need to braid my hair anyways.." Kassandra trailed off, looking down at the floor. Kyra stepped up to her and cupped her face, meeting her honey colored eyes.
"We can talk about things soon. I need to figure out how I am going to tell Theletas. I don't think I want to hurt him any more than I am already going to. I just…well, I'll talk to you later, misthios. Thank you for such an amazing time." They kissed for a long, yet fleeting moment and just like that, Kyra disappeared down the stairs to go meet her partner. Kassandra remained, breathing in the newfound, unwelcome solitude.
This was going to get messy.
