Until next time…..

Quinn vowed that if she could help it, she'd never step foot in Lima again. She sighs, removing her luggage from the carousel. To be completely honest, she'd rather be anywhere else this Thanksgiving, but you can only give so many excuses before you're officially labeled a bad daughter and she knew she had been teetering that line for a while now.

Quinn strolls out of the airport, the long forgotten smells and warm Ohio air embrace her senses and on instinct, her eyes close. As much as she wants to hate it, this is….. home.

It's a short cab ride because let's face it, what in Lima is a long ride? The brakes squeal gently as Quinn takes a minute to look out at her childhood home. She smiles at the memory of Rachel falling off the tire swing that Quinn swore up and down would not break. She looks towards the garage and sighs, remembering her first kiss.

Quinn pays the fare before removing her bags and closing the trunk. She takes a few minutes to scan down each side of the neighborhood, exhaling at the thought of as much as things change, they stay the same. For example, to her left, the wood is still peeling from the porch at the Rodriguez's and across the street the lawn is overgrown in Ms Flora's yard but there are still bikes at the end of their driveway which causes her to smile, at least there's that.

"Lucy!" Judy smiles, shaking Quinn from her reverie. "Sorry, Quinn, Quinn" The look on Quinn's face must have given her away because Judy quickly apologized and corrected the childhood name. The name Quinn absolutely despises, so much so that she filed a petition to have it removed as soon as she got to New York.

"Okay sweetie, your room is all set up" Judy smiles, closing the front door.

"Please, like you ever changed it" Russel laughs, opening a beer

Quinn's head tilts and a humorless laugh escapes her lips "You realize it's 9am, right?"

"And it's five o'clock somewhere else right? Besides, it's my day off. It is good to see you Lucy, we've missed you" Russel shrugs, kissing the top of the girl's head before retreating to the living room.

"Don't" Judy insists, putting her hands up "I want to enjoy my time with you this weekend"

"You're right, I'm sorry" Quinn nods, offering a soft smile, if she were honest with herself, she missed her mom.

Knock Knock

"Come in" Quinn tosses over her shoulder, applying the final touches of her makeup.

"Oh sweetie" Judy exhales, entering the room, sitting on the edge of the bed

Quinn smiles at her mother from the vanity mirror

"It's like no time has passed" Judy exhales "Thank you for coming home, we've missed you"

Quinn nods "I've missed you too mom"

"Are you going to be okay seeing everyone tonight?"

Quinn's eyebrows furrow "I think so, it has been five years"

Judy nods in agreement "It sure has. Is, will Santana going to be there tonight?"

Quinn shrugs "I'm not too sure, we haven't spoken and Rachel didn't say for sure"

"Umm wear the small hoops in the first drawer, they go better with that outfit" Judy nods, exhaling before standing "Well, I hope you have fun with everyone tonight, take the key and please don't drink and drive"

Quinn rolls her eyes, turning back towards her vanity "I'm twenty three Mother"

"Yes you are but you were also eighteen once and if you think for one second your father and I didn't know about the shenanigans you and Santana got up to, you'd be sorely mistaken, Quinn Fabray!" Judy tosses over her shoulder before exiting the room.

Quinn opens the small drawer and smiles reaching for the small jewelry box. She brings the earrings up to her ears and turns her head for a better look. Judy was right, they do go better.

The crowded bar makes Quinn smile and that's a strange feeling for the blonde. Normally, all the familiar faces would send Quinn into full panic mode but tonight feels different, tonight feels like anything could happen. She nods and looks around, It's exactly as she remembers it.

"Hey girl!" Mercedes smiles, embracing the girl.

"Hey Quinn" Sam waves before removing his wife's jacket.

"We're going to get a few dances in" Mercedes smiles "We'll come find you in a few okay? Save us a seat, we want to hear all about your bougie life!"

"You guys enjoy" Quinn laughs, heading towards the bar, immediately noticing a blast from her past she exhales.

"Mr Shue?"

"Oh my god, Quinn! It's Will, please" Shuester laughs, shaking his head "It's just Will, jesus, I feel a million years old now"

The bartender slides an old fashioned towards Quinn and she nods in thanks before offering a cheers "To the teacher who cold heartedly failed me in Spanish and almost failed me in history"

"That hurts me Quinn" Will laughs, accepting the cheers "But cheers to you having your own law firm and becoming the absolute force of nature I always knew you would"

"So, tell me, how's Mrs Shue….I mean Terry?" Quinn begins

"Well" Will begins……

"As I live and breathe!" The sudden outburst causes the two to look towards the left.

"If it isn't my favorite couple!" Quinn excuses herself, smiling embracing the boys "You two look amazing!"

Kurt rolls his eyes "Tell us something we don't know"

Blaine playfully hits his husband's shoulder "Be nice babe, it's not every day THE Quinn Fabray offers compliments to us mere peasants"

"Stahhhp" Quinn laughs

The three laugh, catching up before grabbing a booth in the back, wanting to catch up properly.

"How's Santana" Quinn asks, Mercedes takes a drink while Sam looks away.

"She's…. okay" Rachel nods, offering a small smile.

"She's running the vet clinic for Maribel but she should be here soon" Artie adds

"Enough about her!" Puck interrupts "Tell us all the juicy New York Gossip, you big shot!"

Quinn smiles "You guys will have to come see for yourselves! We can hit up a few plays!"

Rachel claps excitedly "Can we see funny girl pleaseeeeeeee!!!"

Quinn nods "That we can do, I'll have my assistant pick up the tickets you guys just let me know when!"

"I can't believe Quinn Fabray has an assistant" Artie laughs

"Well believe it baby" Quinn shoots back offering a mock cheer to the table.

A few more hours pass as more and more gleeks arrive.
