The last fanfictions I've made have taken place in the alternative universe where Lucas and Lyra don't go missing, but this one is when Lyra doesn't go missing and raises Lucky.
Lyra was concerned about Lucky as she had not seen him all day since Lucky came back from the park with Anna and Chip.
"Where is Lucky at cause I haven't seen him all day since he came back from the park?" Lyra wondered.
Anna and Chip then heard Lyra and explained where Lucky was. "We know where Lucky is," said Anna. "You do? Where is he?" asked Lyra. "He's in his room," said Chip. "Okay, thank you," Lyra said, feeling relieved.
Lyra then went into his room but saw Lucky sitting in his bed crying. "Lucky?" said Lyra. Lucky, what's wrong? Lyra asked sympathetically. "I miss mom, dad, and Lucas," Lucky said tearfully.
"Aw baby, come here. I miss mom, dad, and Lucas too," Lyra said sympathetically. "Today, when I was at the park with Anna and Chip, I saw other kids playing with their parents and some of them with their older brother, and it just hit me out of nowhere," Lucky explained.
"Don't worry, Lucky. I'm sure someday we'll find mom, dad, and Lucas," Lyra said sympathetically. Lucky started crying worse as Lyra hugged him.
It hurt to see Lucky so sad, but Lyra knew she had to do something and had an idea to cheer up Lucky.
"Wanna go out and get ice cream?" asked Lyra. Lucky felt a bit better and said yes. "Yes, I do, Lyra," Lucky said happily, feeling better.
