Roxy's Reports 4: Infearno

At Café Matsuo, in the morning since the duel between Yuhiro and Infearno...

"Testing, testing..." Roxy muttered into her phone. It had been only a few hours since Yuhiro's duel against Infearno, and to celebrate Aoi's recovery, Roxy made French toast for the both of them. Or should she say, the three of them. After the duel, the two of them received an unexpected guest, in the form of a cute talking cub named Progleo. I wonder how Yuhiro got that duel monster, she thought, as she cooked the French toast.

Suddenly, she received a notification on her computer. When Roxy went over to check it out, she was surprised at what she was seeing. It was the duel between Yuhiro and Infearno in the data storm! Whoever sent her this data, she was grateful. If Emma sent it, though, Roxy thought, scowling, I'll be pissed off.

"Okay." Roxy said to her phone. "With this video footage of the master duel between Yuhiro and Infearno, as well as their Speed Duel, I'll be able to construct a Profile for Infearno."

She first went to the Speed Duel footage. "While his VRAINS ID is Infearno, his actual name is unknown. If I were to give this guy an alias, I'd call him the Demonic Priest because his attire looks so priest-like." Roxy then typed what she said down before continuing.

"As for his age, I can only guess mid-40s, as he's definitely not a young man. Since he works for the Hanoi, his residence is unknown as well." Roxy sighed as she ran her hands through her long, black curly hair. Just like Yuhiro, she hated unknowns.

She then went back to work. "Anyway, after looking at the Speed Duel footage, I can conclude that Infearno's deck is a 'Burning Abyss' deck. From what I'm seeing, his ace monsters are Malacoda, Netherlord of the Burning Abyss and Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss." She typed this information down.

"The Burning Abyss deck focuses on Infearno having a supply of 'Burning Abyss' monsters in his Graveyard to activate their unique abilities." Roxy explained. "If Infearno controls a non 'Burning Abyss' monster alongside a 'Burning Abyss' monster, it's destroyed unless he negates their abilities. He therefore summons Malacoda first through Ritual Summoning to correct that flaw. The deck also has rapid fire-attacking force and power. Hold on." Roxy then clicked on the Master Duel footage, and when she looked through it, she was shocked.

"Okay, this just in. Based on what I'm seeing, Infearno is able to Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz summon as well." Dread was registered on Roxy's face. The fact that Yuhiro faced a Hanoi member like Infearno, who had access to almost all of the summoning methods, must had been horrendous. However, by some miracle, Yuhiro won. I gotta ask Yuhiro how he won that duel, she thought, as she typed up her recent discovery on her laptop.

"Infearno's Skill is called Condemned Punishment." Roxy continued, as she talked to her phone. "This Skill lets Infearno send a 'Burning Abyss' monster from his deck to inflict damage equal to its attack points. The worst part is that he can not only activate it during either player's turn, but can choose any of his 'Burning Abyss' monsters."

She typed that information down before something came to her mind. "During the Speed Duel, two things occurred. First, when Infearno used his Skill, he screamed as though he was in pain. Which brings the question: Does his injury have a part to play whenever he duels? Second, his monsters talk, just like Progleo! When Yuhiro asked him why they were doing that, Infearno replied that it was simply part of their programming. But I smell a lie. There's something ominous about those 'Burning Abyss' monsters, although I can't determine it."

Roxy typed her thoughts down before concluding, "If I were to give this guy a Duel Grade, I'd give him a SS for Sick Skills. The fact that he was able to wield five of the six summoning methods, as well as push Yuhiro to the brink of defeat makes him worthy of that grade."

Once Roxy was done typing what she knew, she was able to construct Infearno's profile, which looked like this:

Name: Unknown

VRAINS ID: Infearno

Other Aliases: Demonic Priest (his attire looks almost like a priest's, only without the headdress)

Gender: Male

Age: Mid-40s (rough estimate)

Residence: Somewhere in Den City, but where?

Job: Hanoi Lieutenant (as of right now)

Deck: Burning Abyss

Ace Monster(s): Malacoda, Netherlord of the Burning Abyss, Cherubini, Ebon Angel of the Burning Abyss

Skill: Condemned Punishment (Once per duel, Infearno can send one 'Burning Abyss' monster from his deck to his Graveyard to inflict damage to his opponent equal to that monster's attack points)

LINK VRAINS' History: Appeared around the same time the rest of the Hanoi did

Duel Grade right now: SS (Sick Skills) (Being able to wield almost all of the summoning methods, as well as almost defeating Yuhiro in a duel makes him worthy of that grade. If he gets stronger though...)

Notes: Infearno's Burning Abyss deck focuses on having a supply of 'Burning Abyss' monsters in his Graveyard to activate their unique abilities. If Infearno controls a non 'Burning Abyss' monster alongside a 'Burning Abyss' monster, it's destroyed unless he negates their abilities. He therefore summons Malacoda first through Ritual Summoning to correct that flaw. The deck also has rapid fire-attacking force and power.

He is also able to Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz summon as well, giving him access to additional disruptive and offensive monsters.

When Infearno used his Skill, he screamed as though he was in pain. Which brings the question: Does his injury have a part to play whenever he duels? Second, his monsters talk, just like Progleo! When Yuhiro asked him why they were doing that, Infearno replied that it was simply part of their programming. But I smell a lie. There's something ominous about those 'Burning Abyss' monsters, although I can't determine it.

Roxy closed her laptop after saving her work. She then smelt the French Toast, all cooked and ready to be served. As Roxy went over and put a piece of it on a plate, she called out to Yuhiro, "Oi, Yuhiro! I cooked you something real nice. Better come down now or else it's all for me!"

"Like hell it is!" Yuhiro shouted back. What the two of them didn't know was that, today, they were going to receive another unexpected guest...
