Roxy's Reports 20: Playmaker (Updated) and Speckles
At Café Matsuo, in the afternoon, a few days after Chapter 42...
"I'm home!" Yuhiro announced, as he walked into Café Matsuo. After going upstairs to the dining room portion second floor, he found Roxy lying forward on the kitchen table and sulking. "What's up with you?"
"What's up is that I can't beat Herald's score in Resident Evil 4!" Roxy whined, banging her arms on the table multiple times. "I'm not sure how he does it, but he's managed to complete the story and kill more zombies than I do!"
"You don't have to be a sore loser about it." Yuhiro sheepishly pointed out, causing Roxy to furiously glare at him. "If its any consolation, when Herald and I played Fortnite, he acquired the Infinity Gauntlet and proceeded to kill everyone in the match, including me."
"That's because no one beats me at video games!" Herald declared, emerging from Yuhiro's duel disk. "And I mean no one!"
"Oh, we'll see about that!" Roxy got up, intent on confronting Herald about his comment. However, Yuhiro stopped her.
"As much as I want to see a video game match between human and Ignis, we have profiles to do, remember?" Yuhiro reminded her.
"Yeah... I remember." Roxy answered. She then marched downstairs to the backroom, leaving an aghast Yuhiro and Herald. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE! FOLLOW ME, WILL YA?!"
"Right..." Yuhiro sheepishly replied, following after Roxy. Once he arrived at the backroom, he sat down at his spot beside Roxy. "So today, we'll be updating Fujiki's profile, as well as create a new one for a duelist called Speckles?"
"Speckles?" Roxy repeated, who couldn't help but laugh. "Who calls themselves Speckles?"
"You have no idea." Yuhiro answered, giving her a blank look. Roxy then pulled up the profile, along with video clips of duels Yusaku partook in. The two of them watched the clips for several minutes, taking in as much information as possible before stopping. "Okay, what do we have?"
"A bit of new information, but not much." Roxy responded, a hand on her chin. "Although Yusaku has a bunch of new monsters he yanked from the Data Storm. Let's go over those." She then clicked on the first photo, which showed Encode Talker.
"Encode Talker. A Link 3 Cyberse monster that Fujiki pulled from the Data Storm during his Speed Duel against Blue Angel," Yuhiro began. "Not only does he prevent battle damage and destruction, he also can boost himself or another monster he points to by the attack points of the battled monster until the End Phase."
"So in other words, a monster that can catch someone off guard if used efficiently." Herald deduced, as Roxy typed some new information in the Ace Monster(s) section. She then clicked on another photo, which showed Excode Talker. "Ah. Excode Talker. A sufficient Link 3 monster, I must say so myself."
"Thanks to the information you obtained from Frog and Pigeon, I was able to learn that Playmaker obtained him during his Speed Duel against Ghost Girl." Roxy pointed out, typing more information down. "This guy can ban Main Monster Zones equal to the number of monsters in the Extra Monster Zones. He also can boost all allies he points to by 500 attack points, as well as prevent them from being destroyed by card effects."
"Had it not been for the Ancient Ghost's Negate Attack, then attacks from Excode Talker and his brothers would have been enough to severely cripple its life points." Yuhiro added, thinking it over. After all, the setup Fujiki established was certainly a strong one, he thought. Roxy then clicked on another image, which showed Powercode Talker.
"Hey, that's the Link 3 Powercode Talker." Herald said, identifying the monster. "If I recall, Playmaker obtained him from the Data Storm during his Speed Duel against Faust."
"Powercode Talker can negate the effects of one targeted monster on the field once per turn," Yuhiro explained, as Roxy typed the information down. "He also can tribute a monster he points to during either player's turn and double his attack points until the End Phase."
"To be honest, its not bad of an ability." Roxy commented, turning to Yuhiro. "After all, it can be the difference between life and death."
"I think you mean winning and losing a duel." Yuhiro corrected her, a sheepish look on his face. Apparently, the frustration of being bested by an Ignis has gotten to her, and has affected other parts of her personality. He then noticed Roxy clicking on the image of Transcode Talker, which grew in size so the both of them could see it.
"That's the Link 3 Transcode Talker!" Herald exclaimed. "The monster who saved Playmaker's ass against Revolver during their second Speed Duel!"
"Okay, Herald. You don't have to get excited about it." Yuhiro told him.
"But I can't help it!" Herald replied. "Transcode Talker gives himself and monsters he's co-linked with 500 attack points. He also prevents himself and them from being targeted by card effects as well. In addition, once per turn, Transcode Talker's effect lets Fujiki Special Summon one Link-3 or lower monster from his Graveyard to a Main Monster Zone Transcode Talker is pointing to, enabling for more Link Summoning."
"So, to recap. An increase in power, protection from being targeted, and resurrecting allies?" Roxy inquired, typing the information down as Herald nodded. "Wow. That's a lot. And is it me, or is each 'Code Talker' monster that Yusaku obtains from the Data Storm a different attribute?" That question ended up making everyone to think deeply for several moments.
"Its interesting now that you mention it." Yuhiro replied. "Makes me wonder whether each 'Code Talker' monster is based off an Ignis."
"If that were the case, how come Fujiki hasn't obtained 'Code Talker' monsters for the Water, White, and Black Ignis's?" Herald inquired. "He already has one for the Light, Wind, Fire, and Earth Ignis's, as well as Ai."
"That's something we can think about later." Roxy decided, putting the information aside. "For now, there's some other information we need to talk about.
"Right." Yuhiro agreed. "Following his second Speed Duel with Revolver, Fujiki confronted him as Ryoken Kogami in real life. It was there where he learned that Revolver was the one who taught him the three things idea. The two of them then dueled against one another in one last Master Duel to decide the fate of LINK VRAINS. Although he won, Revolver told Playmaker that the Knights of Hanoi will return one day."
"Which means we need to get stronger, just as Yusaku did upon getting the Cyberse cards." Herald added, as Roxy typed the information down. "I'm in the process of making new 'Cyreath' cards, but they'll be ready soon." Everyone nodded at that comment. Although Yuhiro was no longer working on the black-market, that didn't mean he could slouch around. Besides, it didn't hurt to be prepared.
"Got it." Roxy finished typing the information down. "Anything else?"
"Not much else to cover." Yuhiro replied, crossing his arms. "I looked through the clips, and saw that Fujiki didn't use his Skill during his Speed Duel against Ace. Just to point out, he's able to adapt to the situation and respond appropriately with the cards in his hand."
"But most of the time, he relies on his Skill to win." Herald pointed out. "Although what you said earlier Yuhiro is something to keep in mind."
"So with this information, what Duel Grade would you give Yusaku?" Roxy asked Yuhiro.
In unison, Yuhiro and Herald said, "SSS for Smokin' Sexy Style!"
"Yeah, no kidding there." Roxy replied, typing in some more information before finishing. She then showed Yuhiro and Herald Yusaku's newly updated profile, which looked like this:
Name: Yusaku Fujiki
VRAINS ID: Playmaker
Other Aliases: LINK VRAINS' Hero (by the public. Yusaku said that he's no hero.) The Dark Horse of the Hanoi (the Hanoi doesn't know too much about Yusaku, other than his LINK VRAINS ID).
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Residence: An old apartment in Den City, Café Nagi
Job: Hacker, part-time employee at Café Nagi (and he works there for free, just like Yuhiro at Café Matsuo).
Deck: Cyberse (The deck focuses on swarming the field for Link Summons. Like themed archetypes such as Gouki or Trickstar, Yusaku's deck is entirely built around Link Summoning, only just the Link Summoning part).
Ace Monster(s): Decode Talker (was the first Cyberse Link Monster Yusaku got from the Data Storm. As a Link 3 monster, he's a pretty efficient one too.), Encode Talker (the second Cyberse monster Yusaku obtained from the Data Storm during his duel against Blue Angel. As a Link 3 monster, he has an interesting effect that not only prevents destruction and battle damage, but also boosts this cards or the attack points of one other monster Encode Talker points to by the attack points of the battled monster until the End Phase), Excode Talker (another Link 3 Cyberse monster Yusaku obtained during his duel against Ghost Girl. It has two effects. One: Upon being Link Summoned, Excode Talker can 'ban' Main Monster Zones from being used equal to the number of monsters in the Extra Monster Zones while he's on the field. Two: All monsters Excode Talker points to gain 500 attack points and cannot be destroyed by card effects), Powercode Talker (another Link 3 Cyberse monster Yusaku obtained from the Data Storm during his duel against Faust. Like Excode Talker, Powercode Talker has two effects. One: Powercode Talker can negate the effects of one targeted monster on the field once per turn. Two: During either player's turn, by tributing a monster Powercode Talker points to, his attack points double until the End Phase), Transcode Talker (another Link 3 monster Yusaku obtained from the Data Storm during his second Speed Duel against Revolver. Like his brothers, Transcode Talker has two effects. One: Transcode Talker gives himself and monsters he's co-linked with 500 attack points. He also prevents himself and them from being targeted by card effects as well. In addition, once per turn, Transcode Talker's effect lets Yusaku Special Summon one Link-3 or lower monster from his Graveyard to a Main Monster Zone Transcode Talker is pointing to, enabling for more Link Summoning), Firewall Dragon (a strong Link 4 monster with reasonable attack points. However, its effects are where it shines the most. For every card Firewall Dragon is co-linked to, Yusaku can return monsters on the field and/or Graveyard back to the hand. It's nothing compared to Turboblaze, though).
Decode Talker was used to defeat a Cracking Dragon, and has aided Yusaku in duels from time to time. Encode Talker, Excode Talker, Powercode Talker, and Transcode Talker were also used against Yusaku's other opponents (ex. Blue Angel, Ghost Girl, Faust, and Revolver). Firewall Dragon was used to not only beat Revolver and Akira Zaizen, but also hold its own against the Ancient Ghost as well.
Skill: Storm Access (When his life points are 1000 or less, he can obtain a Cyberse Link Monster from a nearby data storm. The stronger and more violent the storm, the stronger the monster. You could say Yusaku takes the term big risks equals big rewards to the next level).
It's a great skill to lean on when all hope seems to be lost, as it's saved his butt more times than I can count. He also has cards that purposely lower his life points to a safe level or limit damage, so he has enough for a counterattack. It's risky, but it works.
However, there was one time where Yusaku did not use his Skill, and that was during his duel against Ace. It shows that he's able to adapt to the situation and respond appropriately with the cards in his hand. But most of the time, he uses his Skill.
LINK VRAINS' History: Just like Yuhiro, he was part of the Lost Incident with seven other kids (him, Yuhiro and Miyu, along with Kusanagi's brother makes four. I wonder how the other four are holding up and if they're alright). Although he was saved, he was emotionally scarred like the other Lost Incident kids, and as a result, he couldn't move on. He appeared in LINK VRAINS to fight the Knights of Hanoi after deciding to confront his past and find the truth about the Lost Incident. This is mainly his drive for dueling and living.
Now that the Knights of Hanoi are gone, there is no need for Yusaku to log in as Playmaker in LINK VRAINS. However, after our video chat with Watchman, he claimed that the Knights of Hanoi may return one day, which means he'll have to log in as Playmaker to confront them once again.
Duel Grade right now: SSS (Smokin' Sexy Style) (The dude still hasn't lost a duel at all. Like that's completely amazing. And without Ai's help too? I'm impressed (and disappointed in Ai at the same time for, well, being Ai)).
Notes: Yusaku's Cyberse deck focuses on swarming the field for Link Summons. It's also centered on surviving to the bitter end, where he can use his Skill Storm Access to make a comeback (even though Ai did slightly better at helping him, he needs to do his duty as an Ignis and further help him).
Just like Yuhiro, he uses an old model Duel Disk, which very few use today. It might be the same one he used during the Lost Incident.
Like Yuhiro, he has a habit of saying three things (this was given to him by the same person who spoke to Yuhiro. Yusaku believes that that same person is still imprisoned, which is another reason why he fights. So that he can one day free them. Although I do wonder: Who exactly is this person?)
After the second Speed Duel with Revolver, Yusaku confronted him, aka Ryoken Kogami in real life at his house. It was there where he learned that Revolver was the one who taught him the three things idea. The two of them then dueled against one another in one last Master Duel to decide the fate of LINK VRAINS. While Yusaku won, as I stated above, Revolver and the Knights of Hanoi will return.
Ever since his duel against Percival, Yusaku is starting to question what his 'true self' exactly is. He claims to want justice for everyone who suffered at the hands of the Hanoi, but based on what he told me, perhaps he wants more. He hopes to find an answer once the Hanoi are defeated (and now that the Hanoi are away, he has the chance of doing some soul-searching. Hopefully, he figures it out soon).
I'm still not sure, though, when Yusaku met and joined forces with Kusanagi. Must ask when I get the chance.
Satisfied with the updates on Yusaku's profile, Roxy closed it up before opening a blank document. "Okay. Now we have to make a new profile on Speckles." She let out a small laugh. "I'm sorry. It still baffles me as to why someone would call themselves that name in the network."
"You won't think its funny once I tell you about what happened." Yuhiro promised her, typing on the digital keyboard. A few days after Yuhiro and Yusaku got the Cyberse cards, Kusanagi sent him all the information he found on Speckles, who was also known in the real world as Saburo Inoue. I owe you one for this information, Kusanagi, Yuhiro thought, as he pulled up the file. Sure enough, it contained a lot of information on Speckles. And by a lot, it was a lot.
"W-W-What?!" Roxy exclaimed, shocked as she read the file. "This guy goes to Den Academy, and we didn't even notice?!" She furiously started typing on the digital keyboard.
"Uh, what are you doing?" Yuhiro asked, a look of concern on his face.
"CREATING A TRACKER TO FIND HIM IN THE REAL WORLD, THAT'S WHAT!" Roxy replied, scaring Yuhiro. "I'm just angry with myself that I didn't learn about this until now."
"Then it'd be a good idea to discuss our new enemy." Herald pointed out. "For instance, his name in the real world is Saburo Inoue, a seventeen year old male who attends Den Academy. In LINK VRAINS, he's known as Speckles."
"Honestly, the name 'Speckles' isn't that threatening at first glance." Yuhiro stated, as Roxy typed this information down. "But it makes sense. If he called himself Nightcrawler, then people would instantly know what deck he uses." He then scrolled through the profile and found a picture of him in the network. "But considering what he did to his body, Freakizoid would be a more appropriate alias for him."
"Yikes." Roxy commented, looking at the picture in disgust. "In some ways, that's worse than Blood Shepherd having a mechanical shooter arm." Yuhiro nodded. The fact that Speckles did this to himself made him more of a weapon than human.
"When Speckles isn't at school, his jobs include being a hacker for hire and a duel assassin." Herald explained, reading over the job credentials section of the file. "He was responsible for numerous hacking attempts into companies, as well as killing several duelists in the network. He even made them look like accidents." Upon hearing this, Roxy shivered.
"He plays a 'Krawler' deck during duels." Yuhiro recalled, a hand on his chin. "Like Akira Zaizen's deck, it's a Flip deck, only the monsters summoned are insects based on the nervous system."
"I-I-Insects?!" Roxy exclaimed in fear and disgust, as Yuhiro typed the information down. While Yuhiro knew that Roxy hated bugs, the fact that this was making her afraid for once was slightly disturbing.
"Each of the 'Krawler' monsters have nasty effects upon being activated, with the goal of rapidly swarming the field in order to overwhelm the opponent through numbers and effects. It also enables him to Link Summon his stronger 'Krawler' Link Monsters as well, which makes it worse for the opponent once they come out."
"In other words, cut off one head, two more shall take its place!" Herald added, as Yuhiro typed this information down in the Deck section of the profile. He also inputted Herald's comment as well, for it made sense. "Speckles' main ace monster is the Link 2 X-Krawler Qualiark with reasonable attack points. First, if it leaves the field, Speckles can Special Summon two 'Krawler' monsters from his Graveyard. Second, it gains additional effects based on the number of 'Krawler' monsters on the field."
"If there's two," Yuhiro continued, as he typed, "Qualiark gives all 'Krawler' monsters 300 attack and defense points. If there's four, the opponent cannot activate cards and effects during the Battle Phase. If there's six, all monster can attack directly." He suddenly noticed Roxy hugging him tightly. "Uh, Roxy?"
"I'm just lucky you survived an assault from bugs." Roxy told him. "If that happened to you..."
"Like bugs would defeat Yuhiro." Herald vouched for Yuhiro. "Not only did he defeat Speckles, he also punched him in the jaw and cut his right arm off."
"Well, good for you." Roxy released Yuhiro from the hug and patted his shoulder. "That should set him back a bit."
"He was a bitch." Yuhiro replied. "Where was I? Oh yes. Speckles has one other ace monster called Deus X-Krawler. If its targeted for a card effect while face-down, he can simply flip it up in face-up defense position, negate the effect, and destroy that card. Upon being flipped face-up, Deus EX-Krawler can negate all monster effects that were activated on the opponents field as well."
"And lastly, if Deus X-Krawler destroyed by battle or card effect, Speckles can add one Level 9 monster with a different type and attribute than this card." Herald added, as Roxy typed the information down in the Ace Monsters section.
"Since you partook in a Master Duel against him, we don't know his skill, right?" Roxy surmised, as Yuhiro nodded in confirmation.
"If there's one thing we know, he was the hacker that Kitamura hired to get into the Hanoi's headquarters." Yuhiro informed Roxy, surprising her.
"Damn..." she muttered. "We have to be careful of him. If someone like him was able to hack into the Hanoi's servers, then he's a threat that must be eliminated as soon as possible." She typed this information down into the LINK VRAINS history section so she wouldn't forget. "By the way, how did he even get into the servers? Surely, he couldn't have done that during the duel, right?"
"Actually, he did." Herald answered. "You see, whenever Speckles begins a duel against an opponent, he immediately begins hacking into their servers, and as the opponent loses life points, their defenses get weaker and weaker. As such, we have to be extremely careful and make sure our own network is secure enough so he doesn't worm his way into it."
"I'll look into updating our systems with anti-viral software over the next few days." Roxy promised, typing this information down. "Anything else? Or can we get to the Duel Grade now?"
"I say that Speckles gets a B+, or Badass with a +." Yuhiro decided. "He is a very tricky duelist to contend with, as his deck involves massive swarming and lockdown if not paid attention at the start of the duel. Not only does Speckles duel like crazy, his hacking abilities show that he's someone we need to be careful for." He typed the information down into the Duel Grade section of the profile.
"Yuhiro, would you mind adding the following to the Notes section?" Herald asked him. "According to the lore of "Beckoned by the World Chalice", the Krawler monsters are the enemies of the "World Chalice". With different archetypes from the 'World Legacy' series appearing, it can't be a coincidence."
"Lets see. There's your 'World Chalice' deck, Yuhiro." Roxy began recalling. "Then Reidrith's 'Crusadia' deck, Jeanne Azaria's 'Mekk-Knight' deck, and now Speckles' 'Krawler' deck. Makes me wonder who has the 'Guardragon' and 'Orcust' decks."
"Hopefully, we won't have to cross paths with their owners in the future." Yuhiro assumed, as he put the finishing touches on Speckles' profile. Once he was done, he showed it to Roxy, which looked like this:
Name: Saburo Inoue (thank you Kusanagi, for sending us the information on Speckles. We owe you one).
VRAINS ID: Speckles (really? Speckles? We were expecting something like Nightcrawler).
Other Aliases: Nightcrawler (it makes sense why Speckles didn't call himself that. If he did, people would obviously know what deck he had), Freakizoid (come on. His avatar's basically the result of what happens when someone turns their body into a weapon for assassination)
Gender: Male (no kidding, Sherlock).
Age: 17
Residence: An apartment in Den City (maybe formerly? Roxy's creating a tracker to find him in the real world).
Job: Hacker for Hire, Duel Assassin (looked up his record. Was responsible for numerous hacking attempts into companies, as well as killing several duelists in the network. He even made them look like accidents).
Deck: Krawler (a Flip deck that can be a pain in the ass for duelists if they're not careful. Like Akira, it focuses on the Flip effects of monsters, but said monsters are insects based off of the nervous system. They have nasty effects when triggered, and have the goal of rapidly swarming the field in order to overwhelm the opponent through numbers and effects. It also enables him to Link Summon his stronger 'Krawler' Link Monsters as well, which makes it worse for the opponent once they come out. In other words, cut off one head, two more shall take its place. He's the worst matchup for anyone that has Entomophobia).
Ace Monster(s): X-Krawler Qualiark (a Link 2 monster with 2000 attack points. However, its effects are where it truly becomes a nightmare. First, if it leaves the field, Speckles can Special Summon two 'Krawler' monsters from his Graveyard. Second, it gains additional effects based on the number of 'Krawler' monsters on the field. If there's two, Qualiark gives all 'Krawler' monsters 300 attack and defense points. If there's four, the opponent cannot activate cards and effects during the Battle Phase. If there's six, all monster can attack directly), Deus X-Krawler (the biggest Insect monster in Speckles' deck. If this face-down card is targeted for a card effect, Speckles can simply flip it up in face-up defense position, negate the effect, and destroy that card. Upon being flipped face-up, Deus Ex-Krawler can negate all monster effects that were activated on the opponents field as well. Lastly, if its destroyed by battle or card effect, Speckles can add one Level 9 monster with a different type and attribute than this card).
Skill: Unknown (we've only dueled him in a Master Duel so far. If he Speed Duels, his Skill better not be like Faust's. Otherwise, it will not be good).
LINK VRAINS' History: He was the hacker that Kitamura hired to get into the Hanoi's headquarters, which led to a series of events that we don't have time to talk about right now. Although Kitamura was dumb to do that, it showed that Speckles is a hacker talented and skilled enough to infiltrate one of the toughest servers of all. Not to be underestimated and have to watch out for him.
Duel Grade right now: B+ (Badass with a +) (Speckles is a very tricky duelist to contend with, as his deck involves massive swarming and lockdown if not paid attention at the start of the duel. Not only does Speckles duel like crazy, his hacking abilities show that he's someone we need to be careful for. Had Roxy witnessed this, she would have freaked out big time due to her cleanliness philosophy).
Notes: Speckles' Krawler deck focuses on the Flip effects of monsters, which have nasty effects when triggered, and have the goal of rapidly swarming the field in order to overwhelm the opponent through numbers and effects. It also enables him to Link Summon his stronger 'Krawler' Link Monsters as well, which makes it worse for the opponent once they come out. In other words, cut off one head, two more shall take its place. He's the worst matchup for anyone that has Entomophobia.
Whenever he begins a duel against an opponent, he immediately begins hacking into their servers, and as the opponent loses life points, their defenses get weaker and weaker. As such, we have to be extremely careful and make sure our own network is secure enough so he doesn't worm his way into it….pun intended.
According to the lore of "Beckoned by the World Chalice", the "Krawlers" are the enemies of the "World Chalice", the deck Yuhiro also uses. Can't be a coincidence…. Their names and designs are based on the human nervous system, save for Deus X-Krawler's. Kinda horrifying to think of insects being based off then human body. If Speckles wanted, he could create a mind-slave army by having the insects replace parts of a victims human body. Creepy indeed.
Nevertheless, he has to be stopped quickly, lest he allies with more dangerous enemies in the future, and we don't want that.
Satisfied with the creation of Speckles' profile, Yuhiro closed it up before shutting the systems down for the rest of the day.
"And done." Yuhiro stated.
"You know, the talk on Speckles' deck makes me want to squash some bugs on Resident Evil 4." Roxy declared. "Which is why I'm challenging you Herald to see how long you can last in the game!"
"Bring it on, Roxy!" Herald declared. Before Herald could say anymore, Yuhiro's stomach rumbled.
"Sorry," he sheepishly apologized. "I guess I must be hungry."
"In that case, I'll make some dinner prior to the showdown." Roxy announced, getting up from her seat. "Want to help me cook some Chicken Parmesan?"
"You bet!" Yuhiro replied, getting up and following Roxy upstairs, taking his duel disk with him.
Elsewhere, at a motel in Den City...
Saburo let out a sigh of relief as he closed the door to his room behind him at a motel in Den City. He was this close to getting Raguel's personal information, but then someone interrupted the hacking process and stopped it completely, shutting down all of his servers completely. In addition, any information that was retrieved was lost as well. As a result, he couldn't fix them, and with the likelihood of the police being onto him, he had to make a run for it.
He sat down on his bed and put the bag he was carrying on it, a look of fury on his face. "DAMN THAT RAGUEL! If it weren't for his tricks, I would have defeated him for sure! He'll pay, and I'll make sure to take Playmaker down with him!" Knowing that sulking won't help, Saburo opened his bag and pulled out his laptop before taking it to the nearby desk. Before he could even get started, the lights started flickering on and off.
"The hell?!" Saburo exclaimed, standing up and going over to the door, intent on speaking with the manager. But right as he reached the door, a blue-mirage blade hurled from behind him and impaled the door handle, locking him in the room completely. When Saburo turned around, he was shocked upon seeing Yukage, an intruder, in the room.
"You, a mere gnat, dare attack Raguel?!" Yukage exclaimed, angrily walking to Saburo and grabbing him by the collar before slamming him to the door. "Who hired you? Answer me, or I'll finish what Raguel could not!"
Saburo started sweating in fear, which was something he very rarely did considering his job. Despite this, he put on a brave face and replied, "Why would I tell you? After all, I keep client-." The next thing Saburo knew, a blue-mirage blade impaled the door just inches from his face.
"That was a warning." Yukage emphasized. "The next one will go through your hands, then your legs, and then your head if you don't start talking."
"KITAMURA!" Speckles answered, now even more afraid for his life. "Kitamura hired me to take Raguel's personal information and his Ignis, as well as Playmaker's personal information. He also wanted me to retrieve their Cyberse cards. I don't know why you care so much. The Cyberse are nothing more than-." Suddenly, Yukage threw Saburo across the other side of the room and down to the ground. "Hey! I already gave you your answer! Now get lost!" But Yukage walked towards him, a look of fury, but also deliberation on his face.
"Even a gnat has its uses." Yukage decided, kneeling down to Saburo's level. "Wraith. You know what to do."
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." Wraith said, a ball of data in his right hand. He then pushed it towards Saburo, which went into him as he screamed in pain and clawed at his skin to get it out before ultimately falling unconscious. "Do you really think bringing him into the fray is a good idea?"
"Yes." Azrael confirmed. "Once the gnat's usefulness is up, I'll hand him over to the wolves." He picked up Saburo's body before turning to where he entered the motel room from. Azrael then exited from the motel and fled into the night, Saburo's body in tow.
