Roxy's Reports 32: Earth, Azrael, Windy, Revolver (Updated), Lightning, Bohman (Updated), and Haru (Updated)

At Café Matsuo, in the afternoon, two hours after the events of Chapter 72...

"So let me get this straight? An hour or so after we confronted Lightning and the others, Revolver himself just shows up at Café Nagi and gives you a data card?"

"Yes."

This exchange of words was said between Takeru and Yusaku, as the both of them, along with Ai and Flame, walked over to Café Matsuo. An hour or so after the events in the fake Cyberse World, Ryoken showed up wishing to speak with Yusaku before giving him a data card, which contained a program that would protect him and the others from attacks should they occur. Before Ai can even try to convince Yusaku in not installing the program, the latter simply did it. With that, Ryoken walked away, but not before assuring Yusaku that for the time being, there is a truce between them.

"I'm just as surprised as you are, Takeru. More surprised that Yusaku decided to simply pop that program into his duel disk without having any regard on how it will affect me." Ai commented.

"Yuhiro's also visiting one of Revolver's associates at the Den City Shopping District." Flame recalled. "That's what Herald told me, anyway."

"I wonder why a public area? Wouldn't there be people overhearing the conversation between Yuhiro and one of the Hanoi?" Takeru wondered.

"It's likely that Revolver took care of that already." Yusaku pointed out, with Takeru nodding in agreement. Considering how the Hanoi had eyes over the network, as well as allies in the real world, this made sense. After all, the Hanoi would never execute a plan without making preparations so it would go through without any hurdles.

Soon, Yusaku and Takeru arrived at the front door, where the former knocked on it a few times. After a few moments, Arashi answered the door.

"Thanks for coming, guys." Arashi said, as he gestured Yusaku and Takeru to enter inside. The trio then walked upstairs to the living room, where they saw Roxy and Herald finishing up maintenance on her laptop.

"I told you before, Roxy. It's time you get a new laptop." Herald pointed out.

"And I'm telling you that it's still working. No need to replace something that isn't broken." Roxy countered.

"It will be soon, but don't worry. OneDrive exists for situations like this!"

"Uh, Roxy? Herald? We have guests." Arashi stated, which interrupted Roxy and Herald's petty argument.

"Oh, hey guys. Right on time!" Roxy responded, as she gestured Yusaku and Takeru to sit on the opposite couch, which they did while Arashi went over to the couch she was at and sat beside her. "Say, where's Kusanagi?"

"Kusanagi's busy with customers, and told us to go on ahead without him." Yusaku answered. "That being said, the sooner we recap our enemies' strengths and weaknesses, the better."

"Yeah! For all of us had a lot on our plate recently!" Ai exclaimed.

"Yes. We certainly did." Flame agreed.

In hearing this, Roxy immediately turned her computer on before creating a total of four blank templates, as well as the profiles for Revolver, Bohman, and Haru. "My question to you guys: Do you want to do a quick recap of the people we've already covered, or do you want to go to the new ones first? Because one way or another, we have a lot to recap on."

"Maybe we can quickly update the current ones before moving onto the new ones." Takeru suggested. "I mean, we'd save time that way."

"Yeah. We can get rid of the boring stuff first, and get to the good ones afterwards." Arashi agreed.

"Alright. In that case, we should start with Bohman." Roxy decided, as she pulled up Bohman's profile. "Aside from what we already know about Bohman, recent information has proven him more dangerous before."

"Of course Bohman's more dangerous than before!" Ai told Roxy. "Lightning created Bohman so the former can destroy the Cyberse World, while the latter can unite all the Ignis into his body!"

"Thus creating a Construct." Yusaku said, as words were typed into the 'Notes' section. Even after death, Athaliah still made an impact, having created the necessary preparations so Bohman can fulfil his destiny. "He also mentioned how he's the third generation of AI's Lightning created."

"That makes sense there, as Lightning isn't the type of Ignis who would give up after many attempts in creating the perfect AI." Flame pointed out, as words were typed into the 'Other Aliases' and 'Job' sections of Bohman's profile. "Honestly, perfection's overrated these days, and Lightning should know that such a thing doesn't exist."

"Yet he's willing to go to great lengths just to make someone that can achieve his ambitions." Herald pointed out. "Damn that Ignis..."

"There's something else about Bohman. Compared to the previous two times I've dueled him, he's... more calm and content with who he was as an AI." Yusaku added, as he recalled his recent duel against Bohman.

"Everything matures, Yusaku. Even AIs." Roxy stated, with the others nodding in agreement. That was true. Everything grew, evolved, and matured, no matter how much you don't want it to be. And while Roxy was sad that the little Progleo she knew was no longer around, she was proud of him for evolving into Rasterliger. "Say, would you mind if I connected your duel disk to my computer? Just so I can get the information from your recent duel against Bohman."

"Sure." Yusaku complied, before taking off his duel disk and handing it to Roxy, the latter proceeding to connect her computer with it through a USB cable. Once that was done, Roxy pressed a button on the TV remote, which showed footage of Yusaku's third duel against Bohman.

Roxy then continued speeding through the footage until she reached the part where Bohman used his Skill, which was when Ai spoke up.

"There! That's when Bohman got Rousing Hydradrive Monarch!" Ai said. "If memory served, that monster proved to be a major pain in our asses." Yusaku nodded in agreement upon recalling the trouble Rousing Hydradrive Monarch brought to the duel, and how he narrowly avoided his defeat.

"Rousing Hydradrive Monarch is a Link 4 monster Bohman obtained by Storm Access, though to summon it, you need at least four 'Hydradrive' Link monsters." Yusaku stated, as the others looked at the screen. "Rousing Hydradrive Monarch is Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind attribute, allowing Bohman to practically reduce the attack points of all monsters on the field to zero that share one of those four attributes, as well as force the opponent to summon their monsters in attack position that share those attributes."

"And upon Link Summon, Bohman can place four 'Hydradrive' counters on Rousing Hydradrive Monarch." Ai continued, as words began appearing on the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile. "And by removing a counter, Bohman can roll a dice and send all monsters who share the same attribute as the result before inflicting 500 points of damage to his opponent. The worst part is that he can do it more than once per turn." Words continued to appear in the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile.

"Dice rolls?" Flame repeated. "Why would Bohman resort to luck of all things? AI's don't need luck, as they rely on logic."

"According to Bohman, cards that have a luck-factor in them opens up new possibilities in dueling." Yusaku explained.

"Though I'm sure Bohman may have a way to manipulate luck in his favor." Takeru countered.

"If that were the case, he'd have the advantage for the entire duel." Arashi concluded, as words appeared in the 'Deck' section as well.

"Regardless, the fact that Lightning, Azrael, and Bohman are on the same side only shows that things are taking a turn for the worst." Herald sadly commented.

"Yeah." Roxy agreed. "In terms of duel grade, Bohman unfortunately gets an upgrade to S+, or Savage with a +."

"Considering what we've learned about Bohman recently, he's becoming more powerful every time we encounter him." Takeru stated. "And something tells me that once we encounter him again, it'll probably be the last time."

"Especially with the coming war." Flame agreed, as words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Bohman's profile. After Roxy put the finishing touches on updating Bohman's profile, she showed the updated profile to the others present, which looked like this:

Name: Bohman

VRAINS ID: Bohman

Other aliases: Lightning's 3rd Generation AI, Cyberse World's Destroyer

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Residence: Wherever Lightning's faction has set their headquarters at.

Job: Lightning's servant (though Bohman claims to be superior to him), 3rd Generation AI (designed to unite the Ignis into one).

Skill: Storm Access (Current Skill, which lets him obtain a Cyberse Link monster from the Data Storm when his life points are 1000 or less. The stronger and more violent the storm, the stronger the monster. The worst part is that he can use it during a Master duel, thus making the duel unpredictable at that point).

Deck: Hydradrive (an archetype that manipulates attributes in Bohman's favor, most of which consisting of Link monsters. Not only has Bohman also included cards that negate the effects of monsters with the same attribute, he's also included cards that help speed up his Link Summons. As of now, Bohman also utilizes a few cards with luck-based effects, as it opens up new options according to him).

Ace monster: Trident Hydradrive Lord (a Link 3 monster with 2300 attack points that requires three 'Hydradrive' Link monsters. Not only does he take on the attributes of those monsters, he can also negate the effects of monsters the opponent controls through a combination of cards that change attributes), Rousing Hydradrive Monarch (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points that requires four 'Hydradrive' Link monsters, though Bohman managed to bring him out with only one card. Rousing Hydradrive Monarch is Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind attribute, allowing Bohman to practically reduce the attack points of all monsters on the field to zero that share one of those four attributes, as well as force the opponent to summon their monsters in attack position that share those attributes. Once Rousing Hydradrive Monarch is Special Summoned, Bohman can place four 'Hydradrive' counters on him, which enables him to activate his dice-rolling effect simply by removing a counter. Whatever the dice lands on, Bohman can send monsters from the opponent's field to the Graveyard that share the same attribute as the dice result, and also inflicts 500 damage for each of those monsters sent to the Graveyard by this effect. All in all, this makes Rousing Hydradrive Monarch the most dangerous of Bohman's monsters).

LINK VRAINS' history: First appeared when he stole Jin's consciousness data. Thanks to Haru, he was able to escape. Playmaker and Raguel encountered the both of them once again in Windy's world, where Playmaker dueled Bohman again, while Raguel dueled against Haru. During Bohman's first duel, he was mentally unstable and confused, but in his rematch against Playmaker, he claimed to be the real Playmaker while the other was nothing more than a fake.

The third time Playmaker dueled Bohman, the latter was calm and content with who he was, having accepted the truth about himself. He appears to be respectful, as he praised Ai for having human instinct (before explaining how his instinct affected the others in a rude way). All in all, he has fully matured as an AI.

Duel Grade right now: S+ (Savage with a +) (Bohman's history, combined with the improvements he's made into his deck, makes him a dangerous opponent. What's more, he's continuing to evolve, thus making him more dangerous every time we face him, which is why his Duel Grade went up).

Notes: Bohman is the main weapon Lightning used to destroy the Cyberse World in an attempt to unite the Ignis together under one belief, now aiming to absorb them all haven been given the powers of a Construct by Athaliah. To put it simply, a final parting gift from her that shows her evil will still lives on even after death. As though the past is catching up on us and history repeating itself.

Thanks to Storm Access, Bohman is now able to use a Link 4 monster in Rousing Hydradrive Monarch. As a result, Bohman was able to draw in his third duel against Playmaker, which shows how strong he's become.

He believes in AI superiority, which is kind of cliché in most movies, but if you apply it in a human context, it makes sense.

With Bohman, Azrael and Lightning on one side of this war to come things are really taking a turn for the worst.

Satisfied with the updates, Roxy closed the profile before proceeding to hand Yusaku back his duel disk. Once that was done, she opened up Haru's profile. "And then there's Haru. Or the second generation of AIs Lightning made."

"Thus making Haru Bohman's older brother." Herald clarified, as words appeared on the 'Other Aliases' of Haru's profile. "Along with Bohman, Haru's also grown stronger, only in a different way compared to Bohman."

"But don't Haru and Bohman have the same decks?" Takeru asked.

"While they still do play the same deck, there's a difference in how each of them grown stronger." Herald replied. "Prior to the duel, Haru told Raguel that he had received tutelage from Azrael."

"Sorry, what?" Arashi said in confusion, with Yusaku, Takeru, and Roxy also raising eyebrows at that comment. "Why would Haru learn under Azrael? Does he not know what Azrael did to other people?"

"He did, yet he chose to undertake Azrael and Wraith's teachings." Herald answered. "If I recall, Azrael and Wraith taught Haru about the difference between truth and ideals, as well as what each one was."

"I get what you're saying there." Roxy stated. "Based on our previous discussion, where Yusaku said that Bohman acknowledged who he was, Haru decided to continuously train so that the world would recognize him as Bohman's little brother, not a slave, correct?"

"Bingo!" Herald confirmed, as words appeared on the 'Notes' section.

"What confuses me is why Azrael decided to pass his teachings in the first place." Arashi commented. "Does he plan to turn Haru to his side or something?"

"I doubt that's the case, Arashi." Yusaku admitted. "If Azrael did intend to turn Haru to his side, he'd have to infect him with the Another virus or a piece of Malf."

"And Lightning would probably detect it happening, as Haru's one of his AIs." Takeru added in support.

"With that out of the way, would you mind connecting the duel disk to your computer, Roxy? Because there's some new stuff Haru gained since our previous encounter with him." Herald requested, with Roxy connecting Yuhiro's duel disk to her computer in response. After pressing a button on the TV remote, footage of Yuhiro's duel against Haru then played. She sped through it for a few moments until Flame spoke up.

"Hang on. Stop right here." Flame said. "Seems Haru's got a new Skill. I thought he'd use Marker's Portal."

"And be predictable? I doubt that." Ai countered.

"Ai's onto something for once." Herald agreed, which made Ai glare at him in response. "Haru's new Skill is called Hydreality, where he can not only change the attributes of monsters to one of his choosing, he also gains 500 life points for each monster whose attribute is changed by this Skill." As if on cue, words appeared on the 'Skill' section of Haru's profile. "To sum it up, it helps Haru make a comeback if needed."

"Thus further differentiating Bohman and Haru's strategies." Yusaku figured out, before the footage resumed playing, which stopped once it reached Haru's new monster. "Haru didn't have that monster last time we encountered him."

"No he didn't, Yusaku. No he didn't." Herald replied. "That monster is the Link 4 monster Medusoid Hydradrive Gorgun. Once per turn, Haru can move her to a Main Monster Zone or Extra Monster Zone she points to. In addition, Haru can shuffle a 'Hydradrive' Link monster from his Graveyard into his Extra Deck to negate the effects of all monsters on the opponent's field who share the same attribute as the shuffled monster, as well as negate their effects. Last but not least, if Medusoid Hydradrive Gorgun destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Haru can inflict damage equal to its attack points." Words appeared on the 'Ace monster' section of Haru's profile.

"When you put it that way, it makes Haru just as dangerous as Bohman." Takeru commented.

"While that may be the case, the only advantage Bohman has over Haru is Storm Access." Flame pointed out. "Still, you are right, Takeru. We shouldn't underestimate Haru." He then turned to Roxy. "If I may, Roxy, I think Haru's duel grade should be S for Savage. I'm not sure what his previous one was, but considering how he managed to conquer the roadblocks Yuhiro put in his way, he's grown stronger."

"Makes sense there." Roxy said, as the words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Haru's profile. Once that was done, Roxy turned the computer to show the others the updated profile, which looked like this:

Name: Haru

VRAINS ID: Haru

Other aliases: Bohman's little brother (they may be brothers, but Haru was created before Bohman. So I guess this makes Haru Bohman's older brother? Weird...)

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Residence: Wherever Lightning's faction has set their headquarters at.

Job: Lightning's servant (as evident by what Bohman told Playmaker).

Skill: Hydreality (A Skill that not only lets Haru change the attributes of all monsters on the field as per his choice, but also gains 500 life points for each monster whose attribute was changed by this Skill. To put it simply, it immediately changes the odds in Haru's favor in the event of an emergency).

Deck: Hydradrive (an archetype that manipulates attributes in Haru's favor, most of which consisting of Link monsters. However, there's a difference between Bohman and Haru's decks. Bohman focuses on negating the effects of monsters with the same attribute, while Haru focuses on reducing the attack points of monsters who share the same attribute to inflict more damage).

Ace monster: Judgment Arrows (it doubles the attack points of the monster it points to. In addition, it has Link Markers, enabling Haru to Link Summon monsters in the Main Monster Zone), Punishment Arrows (the first Link Trap we've ever seen. When a monster it points to destroys a monster by battle and send it to the Graveyard, it's banished instead), Scyllonic Hydradrive Kragun (a Link 3 monster that also requires three 'Hydradrive' Link monsters, as well as 2300 attack points. When she's Link Summoned, Haru can move it to a Main Monster Zone she points to. Also, once per turn, Haru can banish a 'Hydradrive' Link monster from the Graveyard to halve the attack points of all monsters on the opponent's field who share the same attribute as the banished monster. That's a deadly ability, I'll admit), Medusoid Hydradrive Gorgun (a Link 4 monster that requires two or more 'Hydradrive' Link monsters. Once per turn, Haru can move her to a Main Monster Zone or Extra Monster Zone she points to, giving him flexibility on where he can place his Link Spell or Trap cards. Once per turn, Haru can shuffle a 'Hydradrive' Link monster from his Graveyard into his Extra Deck to negate the effects of all monsters on the opponent's field who share the same attribute as the shuffled monster, as well as negate their effects. Last but not least, if Medusoid Hydradrive Gorgun destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Haru can inflict damage equal to its attack points. All in all, this makes Haru more dangerous than before).

LINK VRAINS' history: Haru was observing Playmaker's duel against Bohman until Slipstream intervened and challenged Haru to a duel. Unfortunately, the duel ended in a draw, and had he lost, we would have had a greater chance to rescue Jin.

Raguel and Playmaker confronted Haru and Bohman in Windy's world, where Raguel dueled Haru, while Playmaker dueled Bohman.

We saw him at the fake Cyberse World, where Haru immediately challenged Raguel to a rematch. While the duel ended in a draw, it showed how much stronger Haru became. Who knows if Haru may reach Bohman's level of strength if this keeps up?

Duel Grade right now: S (Savage) (Haru was able to upgrade his deck to incorporate his unique strategy of reducing the attack points of monsters who share the same attribute. He also incorporated a Link Trap into his deck, which was such a pain in the ass. As evident on how he stayed on top in the duel despite multiple roadblocks, it's show Haru's increased level of strength, which is why he deserves the increased duel grade).

Notes: Following Bohman's appearance, Haru was able to escape with him past the restricted zone back to Lightning's base of operations.

Even though Raguel and Playmaker defeated Bohman and Haru in Windy's world, they escaped before we can pursue them.

Prior to Raguel's duel against Haru, Haru talked about how Azrael tutored him in what truth and ideals were, as well as the difference. As a result, Haru's now matured in his identity. This is evident in how Haru duels, as he had to continuously train himself so he can use his own strength to make reality acknowledge his ideals, not let the truth about himself affect his self-esteem.

Why would Azrael take Haru under his wing? Is it a part of his plan? One that even Lightning and Bohman don't know about?

With the second profile done, Roxy closed it up before opening up Revolver's profile. Suddenly, her phone vibrated, which she took and pulled out of her pocket before reading it. "It's Yuhiro. He just left the Den City Shopping District, and has texted me some jot dot notes of the meeting he had with Emon."

"Yuhiro met with the boogeyman of the Hanoi?!" Ai exclaimed, as he recalled what Emon did during the Tower of Hanoi events. "I'd rather he meet with someone more honorable than that guy."

"Well, it unfortunately wasn't an option, Ai. For according to Yuhiro, two of the Hanoi's members have been incapacitated."

Takeru gasped, while Yusaku narrowed his eyes as he recalled what Revolver said just prior to his duel against Windy. "We already know Dancho was wounded, Roxy. Who's the other one?"

"Lord Kazuma." Roxy answered. "But let's put that aside and focus on updating Revolver's profile."

"To be honest, there's not much to discuss about Revolver, aside from what happened to the Hanoi on their end after the Tower of Hanoi." Herald admitted.

"That's something I want to know." Arashi commented, with Takeru and Yusaku nodding in agreement.

"Let's see." Roxy read the text on her phone for a few moments before gathering her thoughts. "According to Yuhiro's text, Revolver's Skill was practically destroyed by Malf during their duel." As if on cue, words were typed into the 'Skill' section of Revolver's profile.

"But how can someone just... destroy someone's Skill like that?" Takeru asked.

"It likely has to do with Malf's abilities, one of which involves him self-destructing before reforming his body." Herald hypothesized. "Still, with that out of the way, Revolver won't be able to pull anymore 'Topologic' monsters from the data storm."

"Topologic monsters, you say?" Flame repeated. "From my knowledge, those monsters don't obey anyone else but the Ignis. So for a human to achieve command of them..."

"Dr. Kogami's material control program was what allowed Revolver to assume command of them." Yusaku explained.

"I see."

"But regardless, Revolver's grown stronger since we last saw him." Takeru pointed out. "Or at the very least, since you guys last saw him."

"If you're referring to Revolver Synchro Summoning to whoop Windy's ass, you're correct." Arashi stated, as he connected his duel disk to Roxy's computer, which caused footage of Revolver's duel against Windy to pop up. Specifically, at the part where Revolver summoned his new monster. "Borreload Savage Dragon, a Level 8 Dark Dragon Synchro monster with 3000 attack points and 2500 defense points. Upon being summoned, Revolver can equip Borreload Savage Dragon with one Link monster in his Graveyard, and increase its attack points equal to half of the equipped monster's attack points. In addition, Revolver can place 'Borrel' counters on Borreload Savage Dragon equal to that monster's Link rating."

"And what's more, if anyone tries to activate an effect, Revolver can simply remove a 'Borrel' counter to negate it. Like someone trying to blow a balloon up, only for someone to pop it with a needle." Ai added, as words were typed into the 'Ace monster' section of Revolver's profile.

"So to defeat that monster, we have to somehow bait Revolver into removing a counter. Though if we know Revolver, he'll certainly see us trying to negate a weak effect." Takeru said.

"It's not just that. If Yuhiro and I learning new summoning methods is evidence of our strength, it's most likely that Revolver will eventually learn the other summoning methods as well." Yusaku interjected, as words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Revolver's profile. "And as evident by my meeting with him in the real world, we'll most likely see him again in the coming days."

"Yeah." Takeru replied. "Though we're not the only ones going through struggles at the moment. I mean, didn't the Hanoi lose a lot of resources and the company supporting them?"

"Yup. Goes to show that Azrael may be just as bad, if not worse than the Hanoi." Roxy answered, as words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Revolver's profile. Once that was done, she turned her computer to show the others the updated profile, which looked like this:

Name: Ryoken Kogami

VRAINS ID: Revolver

Other aliases: Hanoi's Head Honcho

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Residence: On the run with the other Hanoi (probably a mobile headquarters at the moment)

Job: Leader of the Knights of Hanoi, Hacker, Cyberse Killer, Cyberse Terrorist (still at it, even three months after Playmaker defeated him).

Skill: Storm Access (formerly) (according to Emon, Malf destroyed Revolver's Skill, preventing him from getting anymore Cyberse monsters from the data storm. To be updated once we know what Revolver's new Skill is).

Deck: Borrel/Rokket/Topologic (with a splash of Dark Dragon monsters) (just like before, the 'Rokket' archetype focuses on literally punching a hole in the enemy's defenses through explosions, and they reload right after. Very few weaknesses since Borreload Dragon's effect can't be responded to. His deck also has a variety of Dark dragon monsters to aid him in Link Summoning, and they share a network theme too.

He's also recently incorporated Synchro Summoning in his deck as well. At this rate, he may master the other summoning methods as well.

Ace monster: Borreload Dragon (a 3000 attack point Link 4 Dragon monster Revolver used during his Master Duel against Yusaku. Not only can it not be targeted by monster effects, it can decrease any monsters attack and defense points by 500, which can't be responded to. It can even steal an opponent's monster for its master), Borreload Savage Dragon (a Level 8 Dragon Synchro monster with 3000 attack points. Upon being summoned, Revolver can equip Borreload Savage Dragon with one Link monster in his Graveyard, and increase its attack points equal to half of the equipped monster's attack points. In addition, Revolver can place 'Borrel' counters on Borreload Savage Dragon equal to that monster's Link rating, and if the opponent activates a card effect, Revolver can remove a 'Borrel' counter to simply negate it. Along with Revolver's other monsters, it's dangerous to contend with).

LINK VRAINS' history: According to Yusaku, Revolver was 8 years old during the time of the Lost Incident. Unable to bear the screams he heard from the children day by day, he reported the Incident to the authorities, but not before he gave Yuhiro and Yusaku the 3 things ideology. Ironic that the one who saved the children turned into one of their biggest enemies. Fate sure has a funny way of doing things. Had he been brought up in a better family, he could have turned into a strong ally. (His actions got his father arrested and infected with a virus, not sure to say if he's happy of him getting justice this way).

He attacked Cyberse World 5 years ago, and would have succeeded had it not been for Ai disconnecting the world from the net and Watchman's warning. Until the Hanoi is dealt with, it's best that it remains hidden (stay safe, my friends). During Revolver and Playmaker's second Speed Duel, we learned that Ai had been lying about having lost his memories (can you honestly blame the poor guy after running for five years?). The fact of AIs lying worries him which can be understandable if you see it from his perspective.

He believes that the digital world is fiction, and that real life is what matters. On some extent, he's right, but he doesn't have the right to decide that for others.

Revolver and the Hanoi made their return upon breaking Baira out, and we've also seen them in the fake Cyberse World, where Revolver proceeded to defeat Windy in their duel. Something tells me we'll be seeing more of Revolver later on, as he appeared at Café Nagi to give Yusaku a data card, just like the one Emon gave to Yuhiro.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (Revolver's deck has once again evolved since his last appearance. Now that he's incorporated Synchro Summoning, he's not only just as dangerous as before, he'll certainly become more dangerous upon mastering the other summoning methods. That, along with the willingness needed to do what must be done makes him someone we must be careful of).

Notes: Revolver's Rokket deck focuses on literally punching a hole in the enemy's defenses through explosions, and they reload right after. Very few weaknesses since Borreload Dragon's effect can't be responded to. His deck also has a variety of Dark dragon monsters to aid him in Link Summoning, and they share a network theme too.

Based on Playmaker's Speed Duel against Revolver, he uses his Dark Dragon monsters instead of his Rokkets likely because their effects aren't as effective (according to Yusaku, Revolver mentioned that a Master Duel lets both players unleash their full power.)

It turns out the reason he was able to wield 'Topologic' monsters so efficiently was because of Dr. Kogami's data material control program, combined with the personality of a ruthless apex-predator. After his father sacrificed himself, Revolver was able to obtain Topologic Gumblar Dragon (is he amassing an army of them at this point?) and use it to end the duel in a draw. Even after everything he's done, he still has honor, and the ironic thing is that Dr. Kogami truly cares for his own son.

According to Emon, Ryoken and the other Hanoi have gone through some struggles after Azrael stole their resources. Not just that, Azrael managed to incapacitate both Dancho and Lord Kazuma. Makes Azrael just as bad, if not worse than the Hanoi themselves. At least Ryoken has some honor.

Upped his game with Synchro summoning and Borreload Savage Dragon, a new ace with powerful synergy with his link monsters.

Fact Ryoken is attacking the Ignis for their actions against humans, hard to come to a complete judgement for him.

Just like Emon, Ryoken gave Yusaku a protection program after what Malf and Speckles did to them not long ago.

"Hang on a minute, Revolver is Dr. Kogami's son?" Takeru immediately questioned upon looking at the profile.

"He is." Yusaku confirmed.

"You don't have to worry, though. For Dr. Kogami died during the Tower of Hanoi." Ai commented, trying to lighten up the situation. But this only made Takeru narrow his eyes as he looked down at the ground.

Truth be told, I wanted to get revenge on the man who caused the Lost Incident. Dr. Kogami, Takeru admitted in his mind. But with him gone, I guess I'll have to go after the next best thing if I'm to punish the Hanoi for what happened.

"Uh, Takeru? Is everything okay?" Flame gently asked, as Roxy closed up the profile before opening up a blank one.

"H-Huh?" Takeru said, as everyone looked at him with expressions of concern. "Y-Yeah, Flame. I'm fine. Don't worry about me."

"With that out of the way, we should recap the duelists we've recently encountered." Roxy said. "Anyone have any ideas on who of the four new ones we should go over first?"

"Let's do Earth first! Let's do Earth first!" Ai immediately replied.

"Then I'll need to borrow your duel disk again, Yusaku." Roxy requested, as Yusaku once again handed her his duel disk. After connecting it to her computer by USB, she pressed a button on the TV remote, which caused footage of Yusaku's duel against Earth to begin playing.

"So to begin, Earth is known as the Earth Ignis. With aliases including the Socially Awkward Fellow and just the Earth Ignis." Ai began speaking, as the 'Name', 'VRAINS ID', and 'Other Aliases' sections of Earth's profile were filled with words.

"How about Aqua's overprotective boyfriend?" Herald suggested, which caused the humans to chuckle and Ai to blush as more words appeared in the 'Other Aliases' section.

"Wait, wait, what? How did you know about that?"

"Because Earth told me about your little incident with him and Aqua. How you made her worry, which caused Earth to basically threaten you with death if you did something like that again."

Roxy, upon hearing this, whistled. "To think that an Ignis would threaten you with death, Ai... that's something I thought I'd never hear in my life."

"But I didn't do anything wrong!" Ai complained.

"This is getting us nowhere." Yusaku interjected. "When Ai and I met Earth, he wanted to know what humans were like, with him agreeing to give us any information on Bohman he may have if we defeated him in a duel."

"But he didn't!" Ai interrupted. "And once the duel was done, he simply sent us back to where we met him in the first place!" Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Earth's profile.

"I'm curious as to what Earth's deck was when you guys dueled him." Flame commented.

"Well, we can find out from the footage Yusaku got. So that's good." Arashi stated, as he grabbed the TV remote and pressed a button, which caused the footage to resume. As the four humans and three Ignis watched the TV, they saw how Earth was able to not only maintain his field, but also recover as well.

"Ah, that's interesting. From what we're seeing, Earth's deck, which is called the 'G Golem' archetype, utilizes a beatdown and stall playstyle to Link Summon the archetypes Link Monsters without Link climbing. More specifically, his Link 3 monster, G Golem Invalid Dolmen, and the Link 2 monster, G Golem Crystal Heart." Flame said, as words were typed into the 'Deck' section of Earth's profile. "Along with Spell and Trap cards, Earth's goal is to simply break the opponent down until there's nothing left they can utilize."

"And on the topic of both monsters, Invalid Dolmen a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points, and is the definition of 'rock solid', if you get what I mean. Not only does it make all co-linked monsters on Earth's field unaffected by the effects of monsters the opponent controls, it also forces them to attack it. Along with piercing battle damage, the massive effect negation of all cards the opponent controls upon being destroyed makes this monster deadly." Ai interrupted. "In addition, Crystal Heart is a Link 2 monster with no attack points, but has special abilities to compensate."

"As evident by what we're seeing, Crystal Heart can Special Summon an Earth Link monster from the Graveyard and co-link with it, gaining one 'G Golem' counter in the process." Takeru continued. "What's more, Earth monsters it points to gain 600 attack points for each 'G Golem' counter, as well as the ability to make a second attack per Battle Phase." The entire conversation was typed into the 'Ace monster' section of Earth's profile.

"Hmm. From what we're seeing, there seems to be similarities between Earth and Specter." Herald observed.

"Yeah. Both of them are indeed similar because of how they protect their cherished monsters." Yusaku clarified. "Crystal Heart for Earth, and the Sunavalon tree and her evolutions for Specter." Words were typed into the 'Notes' section of the profile.

"And yet they're different, especially how Specter, a Lost Incident victim, decided to join the Hanoi." Arashi pointed out. "It'd be interesting to see a duel between them."

"Arashi, with everything that's happening, it's essential that we find Earth before it happens." Roxy said. "With the coming war, we'll need as many allies as we can get." As if on cue, words appeared on the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of the profile. "So what duel grade do you think Earth should get?"

"Maybe an A for Apocalyptic. I mean, his dueling is really good." Flame suggested.

"Perhaps an A-, or Apocalyptic with a -." Ai clarified. "I mean, Earth has some strong defenses and all, thus solidifying Flame's claim on him being a duelist, but you can break through them with the right cards."

"But still, Earth covers up any weaknesses quickly so he can be prepared for whatever his opponent throws next. The combo of Crystal Heart reviving Invalid Dolmen numerous times to make it stronger, along with protection from Spells and Trap cards makes Earth quite formidable. Almost like a boulder." Yusaku pointed out, as words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Earth's profile.

"You know something, guys? Apparently, Aqua gave Crystal Heart to Earth before the Cyberse World was destroyed. It may represent their true feelings towards one another, if you get what I mean."

"And who said you'd be matchmaker, Ai?" Herald questioned. "For you to be matchmaker, you need to have a pair of wings attached to your back, along with a bow and a quiver of arrows that have hearts at the ends." Everyone laughed upon picturing Ai as Cupid, much to his embarrassment.

"IS THAT REALLY NECESSARY, HERALD?!" Ai furiously exclaimed.

"It is, especially with how much of an idiot you can act at times."

"Settle down, both of you!" Roxy shouted, which practically shut Herald and Ai up out of pure fear of her. After she put the finishing touches on Earth's profile, she showed it to the others, which looked like this:

Name: Earth

VRAINS ID: Earth

Other aliases: The Earth Ignis, A Socially Awkward Fellow, Aqua's overprotective boyfriend (that's obviously true, especially with Earth warning Ai to stay away from Aqua, lest he feel his wrath).

Gender: Male

Age: 10 years old

Residence: Somewhere in the network (We hope you're okay, Earth).

Job: None, unless you count finding where Aqua is.

Skill: Unknown (so far, Yusaku's only dueled him in a Master Duel).

Deck: G Golem (an archetype that utilizes a beatdown and stall playstyle to Link Summon the archetypes Link Monsters without Link climbing. More specifically, G Golem Invalid Dolmen, and co-link it with Crystal Heart so that, with the support of Spell and Trap cards, Earth can eventually win the duel).

Ace monster: G Golem Invalid Dolmen (a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points, and is the definition of 'rock solid', if you get what I mean. Not only does it make all co-linked monsters on Earth's field unaffected by the effects of monsters the opponent controls, it also forces them to attack it. Along with piercing battle damage, the massive effect negation of all cards the opponent controls upon being destroyed makes this monster deadly), G Golem Crystal Heart (a Link 2 monster with no attack points. What makes this card special is lots of things. First, and foremost, it was the card Aqua gave him before the Cyberse World was destroyed. Might it represent their true feelings for one another? Second, it can not only Special Summon an Earth Link monster from the Graveyard and co-link with it, it gains 1 'G Golem' counter in the process. What's more, Earth monsters it points to gain 600 attack points for each 'G Golem' counter, as well as the ability to make a second attack per Battle Phase).

LINK VRAINS' history: While Yuhiro was dueling against Azrael, Earth wanted to meet Playmaker and Ai to determine what humans were like, as suggested by Aqua during their time in the Cyberse World. After Playmaker defeated Earth, he practically admitted that he knew nothing about Bohman before sending them to the area where they met. Hopefully, he is doing well wherever he is in the network.

But considering recent events, along with our enemies, we may run into him again. And if all goes well, we can even recruit Earth to our side before something bad happens to him.

Duel Grade right now: A- (Apocalyptic with a -) (According to Ai, Earth is a pretty good duelist, which isn't hard to see, as his rock hard defences have very few openings to exploit. In response to this, Earth makes sure he covers them up quickly so he can be prepared for whatever his opponent throws next. The combo of Crystal Heart reviving Invalid Dolmen numerous times to make it stronger, along with protection from Spells and Trap cards makes Earth quite formidable. Almost like a boulder).

Notes: Earth is the Ignis created from Specter himself. While one may find it hard to see at first, on closer inspection, the similarities are all too clear because they both hold something dear to them. This is reflected in their decks with Crystal Heart representing Aqua to Earth which he protects with his Earth Link Monsters, and Specter treasuring his Sunavalon tree which he uses himself to shield from harm.

Satisfied with the profile, Roxy closed it up before opening up a new blank one. "Next up is Windy."

"Also known as my attempted murderer, my former partner, and a son of a bitch." Arashi immediately summed up, as words appeared in the 'Name', 'VRAINS ID', and 'Other aliases' sections of Windy's profile. "As well as the guy who not only attempted to kill me twice, but also put Takeda in the hospital." Words now appeared in the 'Notes' section of Windy's profile.

"We encountered Windy in Windyland, who was willing to point us in the right direction to where Bohman was. Though his carefree and cautious attitude gained some red flags, don't you agree?" Ai said, as words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Windy's profile.

"They did." Herald agreed. "And it turns out Windy planned to attack humanity with Lightning, and eventually Wraith from the start." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Windy's profile.

"Along with Lightning and Wraith, Windy was able to trap Yusaku, myself, Herald, and Yuhiro in a trap. I'm not sure if this is luckily or unluckily, but Revolver saved our butts before destroying Windy in a duel." Ai added, as more words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Windy's profile.

"If it weren't for you, Ai, Windy would have been dead! A perfect payment for all the sins he's committed!" Arashi harshly reminded Ai.

"And I told you before, Arashi. If even one Ignis dies, it brings us to extinction!" Ai angrily countered, as words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Windy's profile.

"Enough. We can't argue on what happened. We can only move forward." Yusaku told both Ai and Arashi, before he turned to the latter. "Listen, Arashi. Revenge is like a poison. One that you have to get rid of before it's too late."

"Don't lecture me on revenge, Yusaku. Weren't you on a revenge quest or something before?"

"I was, but I learned to let it go!"

"Okay, everyone! Shut the Hell up!" Roxy interrupted in a tone that caused everyone to immediately drop the subject. "We're not here to discuss revenge. We're here to discuss our enemies history, strengths, and weaknesses. Arashi, I get you're going through a hard time, so I'll let it slide just this once. But you can't just push your viewpoints onto other people. It isn't right. Do you understand me?"

"Yes." Arashi reluctantly conceded. After ensuring that he calmed down, Roxy pressed a button on the TV remote, which showed footage of Windy's duel against Revolver once again.

"There! Right there!" Ai suddenly said. "As per the duel, Windy's deck, the 'Stormrider' archetype, focuses on manipulating the opponent's Spell & Trap Zone using various effects to inflict effect damage, as well as using Field Spells to negate the opponent's Link Monsters' effects, boost the ATK of his own monsters, and force the opponent to engage said monsters in battle. To put it simply, Windy uses a big strong punch so he can get the A-Okay before attacking." Words appeared on the 'Deck' section of Windy's profile.

"As mentioned before, Windy is cautious, which is why he uses such a strategy. However, he must have no cards in his Spell and Trap card zone for it to work." Flame added, as more words appeared on the 'Deck' section of Windy's profile. "A contrast to you, Arashi, where you just go with the flow in a duel."

"I suppose so." Arashi agreed.

"Windy also has access to Storm Access, and just like Bohman, he can use it in a Master Duel." Yusaku continued, as words appeared in the 'Skill' section of Windy's profile.

"Or in other words, the same guy who gave Bohman that Skill in the first place." Takeru commented.

"Then there's Windy's ace monster. Stormridership Bahamut Bomber." Roxy said, as the footage sped forward to show his abilities. "As per the footage, Stormridership Bahamut Bomber is a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points. Upon Link Summon, Windy can target a card on his opponent's field and destroy it, as well as inflict 500 points of damage. In addition, Windy can target a Spell or Trap card on the field, destroy it, and inflict 500 points of damage as well once per turn." Words now appeared on the 'Ace monster' section of Windy's profile.

"So basically, he's firing the same gun over and over again." Ai deduced.

"Yes." Flame confirmed, before turning to Arashi. "I beg your pardon for me saying this, Arashi, but you and Windy are similar in how you're playful with others." Words now appeared on the 'Notes' section of Windy's profile.

"Whatever. The differences outweigh the similarities." Arashi pointed out.

"But Windy was easy to talk to, back in the Cyberse World." Ai replied. "Given what the Hanoi did, I thought he'd go searching for you. I mean, there's no way could go to the extreme with Lightning and destroy Cyberse World himself!"

"Makes sense. Say guys, did you notice the change in the color of Windy's eyes by any chance?" Herald inquired, which got Ai and Flame's attention as they thought it over.

"If memory serves, Windy's eyes were purple, not red." Flame recalled. "Do you think he may have got hacked?"

"Does it matter? Regardless if Windy was brainwashed or not, he still committed those atrocities." Arashi stated.

"Arashi, if there's a chance that a life can be redeemed, then it's only fair to give that life a shot. After all, in my eyes, every life is precious."

"That's deep, Flame. Very insightful." Takeru commented.

"It certainly is, is it not, Takeru?"

"Moving back to the main topic, what duel grade does Windy get?" Roxy asked.

After the humans and Ignis pondered that question for a few seconds, Arashi was surprisingly the first one to answer.

"I hate to say it, but judging from what we've saw and learned, Windy gets an A for Apocalyptic. His unorthodox dueling strategy, along with his actions, makes him unpredictable." Arashi answered.

"And a bit of a nutcase as well." Ai added, as words appeared on the 'Duel Grade' section of Windy's profile.

"Okay, then. Putting final touches on now." Roxy said, as she typed a few more things in Windy's profile. Once that was done, she showed the others the completed profile, which looked like this:

Name: Windy

VRAINS ID: Windy

Other aliases: The Wind Ignis, Arashi's attempted murderer and former partner, Son of a Bitch (that's what Arashi likes to call him. Don't judge the poor guy, for he's going through a lot lately).

Gender: Male

Age: 10 years old

Residence: Somewhere in the network with Lightning's faction.

Job: Humanity's enemy, with Lightning and the others.

Skill: Storm Access (this sucker can use this Skill in a Master Duel as well, which lets him obtain a random Cyberse Link monster from the data storm when his life points are 1000 or less. It's been revealed that Windy passed this Skill onto Bohman at Lightning's request).

Deck: Stormrider (an archetype that focuses on manipulating the opponent's Spell & Trap Zone using various effects to inflict effect damage, as well as using Field Spells to negate the opponent's Link Monsters' effects, boost the ATK of his own monsters, and force the opponent to engage said monsters in battle. Ai calls it a strong first punch, as he strategically specialises in taking out the enemy's back row before getting the all-clear to attack. Cautious, as he said as he doesn't do anything which will risk him getting hurt. A good strategy which also requires him not to have any back row of his own).

Ace monster: Stormridership Bahamut Bomber (a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points. Upon Link Summon, Windy can target a card on his opponent's field and destroy it, as well as inflict 500 points of damage. In addition, Windy can target a Spell or Trap card on the field, destroy it, and inflict 500 points of damage as well once per turn).

LINK VRAINS' history: Raguel and the others encountered Windy in Windyland, who was willing to point him and the others in the direction to where Bohman was. He seemed suspicious at the time, given his carefree, yet cautious attitude, as evident by him claiming that he didn't know someone else was in Windyland.

Said he doesn't trust humans, which is understandable given the Hanoi's actions on the Ignis.

We recently realized that Windy was planning to attack humanity with Lightning from the start, given he tried to kill Arashi twice.

Together with Wraith and Lightning, Windy was able to trap Playmaker, Ai, Raguel, and Herald, but were luckily (or unluckily) saved by Revolver, who proceeded to destroy Windy in their following duel. The Hanoi also nearly defeated Windy, and they would have succeeded had Ai not called Lightning and Wraith to save them (Arashi's still furious with Ai for doing that, even though he understands how the death of one Ignis would bring all of them to extinction at a much faster rate than humans).

Duel Grade right now: A (Apocalyptic) (As evident by his duel against Revolver, Windy is very tricky to go up against. That, combined with his actions, makes him a nutcase who doesn't regret any of his actions).

Notes: Like Arashi, Windy is playful to an extent before it goes to him being psychotic and malicious. Having attempted on killing Arashi twice, as well as putting his cousin to the hospital, Arashi now seeks revenge against Windy, while the latter no doubt wants to kill him still.

Windy was easy to talk to, as per input from Ai. Wonder what could have happened, even with Hanoi attacking them, there was no way he could go to the extreme with Lightning and destroy Cyberse World himself. But regardless, the fact that Windy is siding with Lightning and Azrael makes him our enemy, unless there's another factor going on.

Satisfied with this profile, Roxy closed it up before opening up a new blank one. "Next up is Lightning himself. The Light Ignis."

"Also known as the Enemy of Humanity, The Ignis Hunter Azrael's affiliated with, Former Leader of the Ignis, Smartest and Fastest of them all, Traitor to Cyberse World, Maker of Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot, Ignis made from Jin." Herald stated, as words appeared in the 'Name', 'VRAINS ID', and 'Other aliases' sections of Lightning's profile.

"From what I recall, Lightning was responsible for destroying the Cyberse World three months ago. All in the name of bringing the Ignis together under the belief that humanity's evil. Not only did he do that, he also created Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot as his puppets." Takeru began speaking.

"Yet what I don't understand is why Lightning would ally with a human in Azrael. If you ask me, it makes him a hypocrite." Flame continued.

"Regardless, Azrael helped make Bohman a Construct through Athaliah's research." Yusaku pointed out, as words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' history' section of Lightning's profile.

"And the fact that Lightning came from a good person like Jin is just as surprising as well." Roxy commented, as words now appeared on the 'Notes' section of Lightning's profile. She then turned to Takeru. "You and Flame dueled against Lightning, right? You mind lending me your duel disk so I can acquire the footage from your duel?"

"Yeah, sure." Takeru answered, before handing his duel disk to Roxy, who proceeded to connect it to her computer with a USB stick. Upon doing so, the footage from Takeru's duel against Lightning played on the TV.

"Lightning's deck, known as the 'Armatos Legio' archetype, focuses on swarming the field with lots of weak monsters in order to summon powerful Link Monsters. More specifically, they focus on "forming various battle formations with their comrades", which manifests as abilities that the weaker monsters give to the stronger Link monsters. In addition, Lightning has ways of retrieving only the benefits from Judgment Arrows by countering its drawbacks. Finally, Lightning can shift strategies if required." Flame explained, as words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Lightning's profile.

"That's not the only thing. Take a look at this." Takeru added, the four humans and three Ignis now looking at Legatus Legionis. "That's Lightning's ace monster. The Link 3 Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis, which has 2400 attack points. Once per turn, during either player's turn, Lightning can send one Level 4 'Armatos Legio' monster to his Graveyard to Special Summon a new one to his field in a Main Monster Zone Legatus Legionis points to. And upon doing so, he's unaffected by card effects for the rest of this turn." Words then popped up on the 'Ace monster' section of Lightning's profile.

"Takeru and I originally intended to use Heatleo's effect to weaken Legatus Legionis, but thanks to his effect, we had to end the duel in a draw." Flame sadly commented.

"Hang on, Flame. You said that Lightning summons new monsters in exchange for sending old ones to his Graveyard, right? Wouldn't it be like playing chess?" Ai asked.

"For once, Ai is correct." Herald confirmed.

"Indeed. A chessboard would be useful in explaining this effect more efficiently." Flame commented. "Do either of you have a tablet or a chessboard, by any chance?"

"I'll go get my tablet." Roxy said, before standing up and heading over to the kitchen table, where her tablet was.

"Lightning may hate humanity, but his deck has a human-like aspect to it." Arashi pointed out. "I mean, aside from the stone statues, his Link monsters are all humans."

"Thus providing another reason why Lightning's a hypocrite." Yusaku said, as Roxy returned and handed her tablet to Flame.

"Thank you, Roxy." Flame stated. "Let's say the Horse chess piece is Legatus Legionis, the Pawn is Gladius, the Rook is Scutum, and the second Pawn is another of Lightning's monsters." He put a finger on the screen before dragging the Pawn away and replacing it with the Rook. "By exchanging monsters, Lightning gains access to different abilities in response to the opponent's moves. As such, Scutum would protect Legatus Legionis once per turn from battle and card effects, as well as ensure that monsters attack him first."

"Makes sense there." Roxy replied. "Honestly, with everything that's happened, I think Lightning should get an S+, or Savage with a +. Lightning's deck, combined with his actions, makes him very dangerous, especially in how they affected everyone. Considering what he's planning next, it isn't good at all." After the others nodded in agreement, words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section on Lightning's profile. Once that was done, Roxy turned the computer to show the others the completed profile, which looked like this:

Name: Lightning

VRAINS ID: Lightning

Other aliases: The Light Ignis, Enemy of Humanity, The Ignis Hunter Azrael's affiliated with, Former Leader of the Ignis, Smartest and Fastest of them all, Traitor to Cyberse World, Maker of Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot, Ignis made from Jin

Gender: Male

Age: 10 years old

Residence: Somewhere in the network with his faction.

Job: Enemy Mastermind (as evident by his actions, it makes sense).

Skill: Unknown (he didn't use his Skill during his Speed Duel against Soulburner).

Deck: Armatos Legio (an archetype that focuses on swarming the field with lots of weak monsters in order to summon powerful Link Monsters. More specifically, they focus on "forming various battle formations with their comrades", which manifests as abilities that the weaker monsters give to the stronger Link monsters. Judgment Arrows is also one of the cards for this archetype, the very card that destroyed Cyberse world and the symbol of his faction. Also has various cards to counter judgement arrows' drawbacks, naturally given he is its' creator. Last but not least, Lightning can shift his strategies in a hurry depending on the situation).

Ace monster: Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis (a Link 3 monster with 2400 attack points. Once per turn, during either player's turn, Lightning can send one Level 4 'Armatos Legio' monster to his Graveyard to Special Summon a new one to his field in a Main Monster Zone Legatus Legionis points to. Combined with an effect that makes Legatus Legionis unaffected by the opponents card effects, this enables Lightning to quick shift between offense and defense).

LINK VRAINS' history: Lightning's the culprit who destroyed the Cyberse World three months ago in an effort to bring the Ignis under one belief: That humanity is evil. He created Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot to mass up an army against humanity. Having failed in that, he's planning to use Bohman to unite all the Ignis together as one. Very self righteous and narrow minded in his thinking without a doubt, but also from his point of view given he claims the Hanoi started it by attacking the Cyberse World, somehow there seems to be something else amidst.

Despite hating humanity, Lightning's allied with Azrael. Not sure what deal they made, but chances are high one will betray the other later, but until then we've seen them capable of tremendous damage, as Azrael had Athaliah set Bohman up to be the future Construct, but given he has contingencies in place for his minions wonder what the has for Lightning.

That aside, he tried to lure Ai and convince him to join his side. When Ai refused, he threatened to erase him till he was thwarted by the Hanoi. (We may have no choice but to align with the Hanoi later on given the immense threat level presented before us now).

Lightning's now in hiding after having escaped, and with both him and Azrael able to attack any time in the real world, we have to be on guard.

For human conflict to spread to even the Ignis, we'd prefer to avoid blood shed but at this rate it's unavoidable.

Duel Grade right now: S+ (Savage with a +) (Lightning's deck, combined with his actions, makes him very dangerous, especially in how they affected everyone. Considering what he's planning next, it isn't good at all. Must be stopped before things escalate further).

Notes: Lightning put Jin under his control, and has claimed that humans can corrupt the Ignis because they're closely connected. Hard to imagine someone as good hearted as Jin could give rise to someone so diabolic.

Satisfied with the profile, Roxy closed it up before opening one final blank one. "Last but not least is Azrael himself. Or as we all know him, Yukage Furutani, the Azure Assailant."

"Still can't believe that Yukage is Yuhiro's blood, adopted, and foster brother. A weird, yet horrific combination considering the events that led to their adoption and foster care." Takeru commented, as words appeared in the 'Name', 'VRAINS ID', and 'Other Aliases' sections of Azrael's profile.

"And I can't believe that Azrael was Monty's client as well." Roxy admitted. "The moment Ai appeared on the scene, Azrael had Monty hire Yuhiro and I to capture him. But since we didn't, Monty paid for his life."

"Yeah, and not only did he injure Numera and Akira, he also used everyone as decoys so he can steal the Hanoi's resources!" Ai pointed out, as words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Azrael's profile. "Quite diabolical and strategic, if I say so myself."

"After the Tower of Hanoi, Azrael broke out and enslaved Ace and Athaliah to his will, as well as Speckles later on. To ensure they cooperated, he put the Another Virus in each of them." Yusaku continued. "And a few months later, he infected Miyu." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' History' section of Azrael's profile.

"But we have Lightning's algorithm now. So I'm sure she'll be cured soon." Takeru optimistically said.

Roxy, upon hearing this, sadly smiled. "While I want to believe that with every ounce of my being, Takeru, it may just be too good to be true."

"Huh? What do you mean by that, Roxy?" Arashi asked.

"Think about it, guys. Lightning would have had a contingency in place should his algorithm be stolen. So it's likely Miyu won't be cured until after Lightning is defeated for good."

A grim silence hit the room. That was unfortunately true, as Lightning wasn't the type of Ignis who would leave a loose end loose forever. He'd get rid of it to ensure the odds were in his favor. But regardless, Roxy was right about one thing. Once Lightning was defeated, then Miyu would be cured. Not just that, but Jin would be saved as well.

"Just a question, guys. How was Azrael able to cut through those cages? Didn't the Hanoi take measures to ensure no one can break through them?" Ai inquired.

"Azrael has a katana known as the Muramasa, his inheritance." Herald answered. "According to Gilgamesh, it can cut through anything and everything, as well as inflict damage in the real world." Words appeared on the 'Notes' section of Azrael's profile. "Not sure about how he's able to manifest his abilities in the real world, though."

"Perhaps it may be something both Yukage and Yuhiro have, given they have their father's blood in them. Or it may be something else." Yusaku hypothesized.

"We'll find out one day, Yusaku. Count on that." Herald assured Yusaku. "In the meanwhile, I should show you the footage from Yuhiro's duel against Azrael. Even if Yuhiro were here with us, I doubt he'd be willing to share the details about it." Roxy connected Yuhiro's duel disk to her computer, where the footage changed to show Yuhiro's duel against Azrael.

"So that's what it looks like to duel in a data gale.." Arashi muttered, while Yusaku narrowed his eyes. Even though he and Yuhiro dueled against the Hanoi in a data gale themselves months prior, the fact that Azrael had one at his disposal was... frightening.

"As shown through the duel, Azrael uses a Cyberse deck called the 'Cychaic' archetype, where he focuses on timely destruction to benefit only him. His link monsters control those at their markers and by extension even the opponent by limiting their options." Herald explained, as words appeared on the 'Deck' section of Azrael's profile.

"But why would Azrael do that? He's just giving the opponent more chances to summon monsters from the Extra Deck if he uses such effects." Flame said. As if on cue, the footage showed Caligula using his effect to destroy Monoceros, which not only increased Caligula's strength by 1000, but also decrease Circe's attack points by 1000 as well. In addition, the footage then showed Caligula attacking Circe before immediately proceeding to attack Euryale afterwards. "Oh. I see. So his Link monsters gain a secondary beneficial effect should it be pointing to a monster."

"Yes." Herald confirmed.

"Compared to Lightning, who prepares himself for anything and everything, Azrael basically controls the enemies movements to the point where he's in control of the duel like a puppet master." Arashi stated. "I'm not sure who's worse when it comes to dueling. Though we can all agree that both Lightning and Azrael are deadly outside of a duel." The others nodded in agreement to Arashi's statement.

The file footage then sped up to show Azrael Link Summoning Teravolt Dragon, much to Ai and Flame's shock. Even though they were surprised the first time they heard this news, it still surprised them now. Herald, on the other hand, narrowed his eyes. "This is Teravolt Dragon, a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. The rival of Turboblaze Dragon himself. And the dragon created by Wraith, the Ignis of Space."

"I can't believe that Azrael would lie in saying that he murdered the eighth Lost Incident child, when in reality, he's the eight Lost Incident child!" Ai exclaimed.

"It was a mind trick, Ai. One that Azrael used well to his advantage." Takeru admitted. "Seems we've been played for fools."

"That was then, this is now, Takeru." Herald stated, before motioning for the others to look at the footage once again. "When Teravolt Dragon is Link Summoned, Azrael can negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards the opponent controls. If a monster effect is activated, Azrael can discard a card from his hand to his Graveyard to negate and destroy it. Last but not least, if Teravolt Dragon destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Azrael can target a monster on the opponent's field before negating its effects and preventing it from attacking until the end of the opponent's next turn." Words then appeared on the 'Ace monster' section of Azrael's profile.

"So unlike Turboblaze Dragon, who deals massive damage, Teravolt Dragon is more of a stun monster." Yusaku figured out.

"Exactly!" Herald confirmed. "You know, guys. Considering what we know about Azrael, his duel grade should be SS with a +."

"I agree with Herald." Arashi said in support with Herald's statement. "Listen guys, for the time we knew Azrael, he's brought nothing but a pain to us, whether directly or indirectly. From Azrael's dueling skills to how he's affected lots of people, makes him just as bad, if not worse than Lightning."

"Not only did Azrael incapacitate two of the Hanoi's members, he was also responsible for the deaths from the Turf War, put Miyu in the hospital, practically broke Yuhiro from the inside and outside, and caused the death of Miles' mother." Roxy finished, as words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Azrael's profile.

"I'm curious, Yusaku. What's your duel grade?" Takeru inquired out of curiosity.

"The highest one." Yusaku answered, which made Takeru's jaw drop.

"Wait a minute? You're the only one who has the highest duel grade?"

"It's because Yusaku's my partner! For I'm the one who helped him win his duels!" Ai boasted, which caused both Herald and Flame to punch him at the same time.

"No you were not!" both Herald and Flame countered.

"Why...?" Ai wallowed in pain.

"If memory serves, I was the one who was dueling, while you played the role of cheerleader." Yusaku recalled, which made everyone laugh, much to Ai's embarrassment.

"I played a role in your victories though..." Ai complained.

Roxy then proceeded to ensure that everything was crisp and clean for Azrael's profile. Once that was done, she showed it to the others, which looked like this:

Name: Yukage Furutani (Yuhiro's blood, adopted, and foster brother. Very weird and horrific combination).

VRAINS ID: Azrael (Azrael is the angel of death, and judging Azrael's actions, it's a fitting name).

Other aliases: The Azure Assailant (that's what we called him before we learned his name).

Gender: Male

Age: 17

Residence: Unknown

Job: Evil Mastermind (this is evident in how he's manipulated events, ranging from the Turf War, to hurting Miyu to draw out Raguel, etc.).

Skill: Unknown

Deck: Cychaic (a Cyberse archetype that focuses on timely destruction to benefit only him. His link monsters control those at their markers and by extension even the opponent by limiting their options. Been encountering many enemy Cyberse decks in this new war. Whereas Lightning prepares himself for anything and everything, Azrael basically controls the enemies movements to the point where he's in control of the duel like a puppet master).

Ace monster: Teravolt Dragon (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. The special dragon created by Wraith, the Ignis of Space. Upon Link Summon, Azrael can negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards the opponent controls. If a monster effect is activated, Azrael can discard a card from his hand to his Graveyard to negate and destroy it. Last but not least, if Teravolt Dragon destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Azrael can target a monster on the opponent's field before negating its effects and preventing it from attacking until the end of the opponent's next turn).

LINK VRAINS' history: Azrael was Monty's client from the very beginning when Ai first appeared on the scene, meaning he and Wraith were keeping an eye on things.

He promised an immense reward for Ai at the beginning, which is why we initially pursued the task. However, we ended up not doing it in the end, which led to Monty's death and the creation of Malf.

During the Tower of Hanoi events, Azrael intervened and used the Muramasa to slice the cages Numera and Akira were trapped in. In addition, he used everyone else as decoys for the Hanoi while he infiltrated the tower and stole all their resources. In the event we failed, he would no doubt sabotage the tower from the inside. Very strategic, as he is deprivable as he has no regard for human life at all, using anyone and anything to achieve his goals (is there an exception with Wraith?).

After the Tower of Hanoi, Azrael freed Athaliah and Ace and forced them to join him along with Speckles otherwise they'd get killed by Malf, whom he created as a living Another virus. Anything the Hanoi can make he can do much better.

Azrael then infected Miyu with Lightning's virus, even though he detested such an action. Doesn't excuse him from what he did, as he did it anyway. Regardless, we have Lightning's algorithm, so if all goes well, then Miyu will be back to normal.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (All of Azrael's actions up until now, from his dueling skills to how he's affected lots of people, makes him just as bad, if not worse than Lightning. Not only did he incapacitate Dancho and Lord Kazuma, he was also responsible for the deaths from the Turf War, put Miyu in the hospital, practically broke Yuhiro from the inside and outside, and caused the death of Miles' mother).

Notes: Azrael has a katana called the Muramasa, which is his inheritance. It can cut through anything and everything, as well as inflict damage in the real world, as evident by the scar on Yuhiro's chest.

Like Bohman he is able to manifest his abilities in the real world. Not sure where he gets the tech for that, but given how Wraith controls space in a way if he gained the ability to traverse dimensions, this will be a major problem. Luckily, we have the protection programs on hand, though we'll need to have a more permanent solution should the need arise.

With all seven profiles done, Roxy closed up Azrael's completed profile before turning off her computer. As if on cue, Yuhiro entered inside Café Matsuo before walking upstairs to the living room, a grocery bag in each of his hands. Rasterliger also followed behind him as well.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. I went to get some groceries." Yuhiro apologized, as he went over to the kitchen to put the grocery bags on the table. Rasterliger, on the other hand, went over to where the others were.

"It's still surprises me that Progleo's now grown up." Roxy admitted, as he ruffled Rasterliger's fur. "While I'll miss the days when he was a cub, I am grateful by how he mature he is now."

"Yeah! I'll miss those days too!" Ai added, as he too ruffled Rasterliger's fur.

"Maybe you can make an evolution for Balelynx, Flame." Takeru suggested.

"I don't think I will, Takeru. Besides, I'd have to make a whole new card for the evolution. But thanks for the suggestion." Flame replied.

Yuhiro then walked over to the living room, where he grabbed his duel disk before putting the data card into it.

"Woah. It's an incredible program." Herald stated.

"That's just what I said too." Ai commented.

"Emon also gave out schematics that would enable to copy the program for our allies." Yuhiro told the group.

"That'd be a good idea for the battles to come." Arashi said. "The last thing we need right now is for either of us to get attacked by Azrael, Lightning, Bohman, or Windy in the real world."

"In the meanwhile, we should alert Zaizen on what's happening." Yuhiro added, as Roxy and Arashi moved over to allow him to sit next to them.

"Yes. They should be in the loop of what's happening." Rasterliger agreed.

"Then it'll have to be in the real world." Yusaku decided.

"The real world? Why not in the network?" Takeru questioned.

"Revolver mentioned that the Ignis have eyes in the network. A meeting in the real world will ensure secrecy." Yusaku explained.

"If that's the case, we should schedule it during the night time at a disclosed location. Just so we can keep the meeting private and away from the public eye." Arashi explained, with the others agreeing as well.

"I'll send the message to Zaizen right away." Yusaku replied, before grabbing his duel disk and beginning to type in it.

"And in the meanwhile, why don't you guys stay over?" Yuhiro suggested. "The groceries are fresh, and we can cook up a nice meal before the meeting tonight."

"I'm so in for that!" Takeru decided, with Yusaku nodding in confirmation as well. This made sense, as if everyone was in one location, it'd be easier to reach the location together rather than enter the meeting place from different places.

"In that case, let's get cooking!" Roxy decided. Even though things looked bleak right now, they'd get through this war together.

And if everything worked out right, they'd put an end to this war for good.

Before anyone else gets hurt as a result of it.

Meanwhile, at SOL Technologies...

"YOU WIN!" a voice announced on the computer screen, as a group of workers, Akira, and Hayami looked at it.

"Go finally did it! He finally won!" Hayami exclaimed, with Akira narrowing his eyes as he stared at the screen. When Go began doing the training exercises in the chamber in the room, Akira saw little progress after each one ended in failure. This was further evident by Go leaving the training chamber out of pure exhaustion before collapsing, as well as him losing weight over time. It got to the point where Akira considered shutting the AI chip project down, but Go wanted to try again one last time, which Akira complied with.

And thanks to that final opportunity, Go managed to finally win a duel under the training chambers program.

"Quite true, but at what cost?" Akira questioned, aware of all the risks Go took to make it this far. Go had already given up both his pride and health in the name of getting stronger, and something told Akira that this was only going to get worse later on.

The door to the training chamber opened as Go exited out of it. This infinite field of data is in the palm of my hand. One that will let me defeat Playmaker once and for all, he declared in his mind. Sadly, his body didn't agree with that statement, as Go nearly collapsed on the ground once again.

Seeing this, Akira quickly rushed out of the control room and headed to where Go was, the latter barely managing to regain his balance. "I've seen enough. I want that chip removed at once!"

"What you want doesn't matter," a voice rebutted, as Akira turned to see Queen, who had just entered the room. "We've invested too much time and money into this technology to stop now, Zaizen."

"Time? Money?" Akira repeated. "These experiments are much too dangerous to continue. Go's life is at risk."

"You heard what the lady said, Zaizen." Go interrupted, which got his attention.

"Stay out of this, Go." Akira warned Go.

"No, you stay out of this. Because whatever the risk, I want that chip."

"Even if it shuts down your brain permanently and you're never able to wake up again?!"

"Yeah, even then!" Go confirmed, which made Akira back down out of shock.

"But..."

"But nothing." Go continued. "You don't see what I see, Zaizen. I see the reality behind reality. I see the past, present, future, and every moment in between. I see everything."

Akira couldn't help but gasp. What happened to the Go who had honor above all else? What happened to the Go who dueled for the children at the orphanage? What happened to the Go who was willing to work with others?

"Now that's what I like to hear, Go," another voice commented, as everyone turned to see Pawn enter the room. "How is my superstar?"

"Doing well, sir." Go replied with a smile, as Pawn walked over and gave Go a pat on the back. Out of everyone else in the room, Pawn was the only one who actually supported his choice in accepting the AI chip. When Go asked Pawn why this was the case, Pawn responded by saying he liked it when people were willing to do whatever it took to achieve victory, which was something Go agreed with one hundred percent. This was necessary for Go, as if he wanted to defeat Playmaker for good, he had to cast off all his doubts. To put it simply, he had to discard his former self, which he managed to do after all of that training.

"That's what I like to hear!" Pawn happily said, before turning to Akira. "Zaizen, mind telling me about the results from his training?"

"Yeah, Zaizen. Tell Pawn the results." Go added with a grin.

Akira sighed, knowing there wasn't anything he could do at the moment, especially now that there were two higherups in the room. "Despite the fact that Go lost multiple times in a row, he was able to finally win a duel in the training chamber."

Pawn nodded back. "Well, that's good to hear. Goes to show that all the money and time invested wasn't a waste after all. Isn't that right, my superstar?"

"Definitely, sir." Go agreed.

"Would you mind forwarding me these results you speak of, Zaizen?" Pawn asked. "I want to see where our superstar is at, and where improvements can be made."

"R-Right away." Akira hesitantly complied, before turning to the workers in the nearby room and nodding at them. Having received the confirmation, the worker sent Akira the results, who proceeded to forward them to Pawn.

As if on cue, Pawn's phone vibrated, which he took out of his pocket before scrolling through the information. "Excellent! The results have met the requirements!" He turned to Go. "Follow me, Go! I have a few more training exercises for you to do, and along with food and water, you'll be ready to kick some butt, even an Ignis's butt at that!"

"Lead the way, sir." Go stated, before following Pawn and Queen out of the chamber, leaving Akira all alone as he clenched his fists.

Why, Go? Why can't you realize that your goal is only going to harm you in the end, Akira wondered in his mind. From what he saw so far, he knew he had to shut the project down before anyone can get hurt.

But that was impossible, especially with both Pawn and Queen doting on Go like he was their obedient son who made them proud.

So the question was: What can Akira do to end this?

Author's Notes

Hi, everyone! This will be the last set of profiles for a while. At least until either after Chapter 79 or 80. As the next few chapters occur in a series of events that intertwine with one another, I'll be focusing on the chapters first. See you all at Chapter 73, as I got something intriguing planned for an opening scene, especially with the new opening and ending for the second half of Season 2!
