Response to Reviews

Thank you to HunterHQ, Akechi, Cosmic Cat, and Pancakes for reading Roxy's Reports 34.

Alright, everyone! I hope you're doing well as we move to the summer season! As per my promise, I'll be answering reviews on Roxy's Reports from now on, but only if the number of reviews reaches more than three.

Anyhow, let's get to answering those reviews:

HunterHQ: There's only so much that I can put in a duel, but on the bright side, Lord Kazuma isn't leaving the Hanoi anytime soon. And yes, the options you provided for off screen duels will be shown at some point. Yeah, the Kings are in for a rude wake up call, as they're not aware of just how much of a threat Jericho truly is. I'm one hundred percent sure Akira trusted Hayami in keeping Aoi's identity secret. I mean, she does follow after him and follow his orders to the letter, so she at least deserves to know one piece of information. I already explained to you why Azrael didn't get erased in a PM a while back. Given what happened in Chapter 94, let's just say things are going worse for Yuhiro down the road. No, the Ignis will not be corrupted or brainwashed like in another VRAINS fanfic, that I can confirm for you. Plus, their memories will be restored, and if anything, they may reunite with the others again. Great quote you gave me. I will definitely put it in the story at some point once an opportunity comes up. As evident by Pandemic Dragon and Schwarzschild Limit Dragon, Revolver has other monsters to use, and will use other dragon monsters moving forward. As for your comment about Bluetooth Burst dragon, we'll see moving forward. Just because Queen is the CEO doesn't make her higher than the other higherups. Besides, the Kings are the highest above them, and there's no favoritism.

Akechi: Glad you liked the off-screen duel.

Cosmic Cat: Lord Kazuma won't be leaving the Hanoi, and there's more than three seasons to this entire story. Revolver didn't have his Borrel monsters at the beginning, so I'm simply following anime canon.

Pancakes: Yes, it's how a beautiful friendship was born. And Stregone's fine, as he woke up. Again, not your best sketch, but not your worst one either.

Now that the reviews have been answered, let's get to the next Roxy's Reports, shall we? Enjoy!

Roxy's Reports 35: Watchman (Updated), Specter (Updated), Windy (Updated), Lightning (Updated), Malf (Updated), Soulburner (Updated), Slipstream (Updated), Blue Maiden (Updated), Azrael (Updated), Revolver (Updated), Raguel (Updated), Shoichi Kusanagi, Playmaker (Updated), and Bohman (Updated)

At Café Matsuo, two days after the events of Chapter 94, during the night...

Yuhiro grit his teeth as he walked downstairs quietly, wanting to make sure that he didn't wake up Miyu and Roxy from their sleep. In his hands, he carried a few healing stims due to the hellish nightmares he's been having following the Ignis war. On the surface, Yuhiro put a brave front by saying that he was alright, but Miyu and Roxy knew better, as the two of them were able to get through to him. To convince him to open up, which Yuhiro had done for a bit. Roxy even suggested for Yuhiro to go see Leshawna for therapy, but he denied that idea, saying that he'll be okay. Deep down, Yuhiro knew that something was not right, and if things kept going the way they were, then it wouldn't be good for everyone in his life.

But right now, Yuhiro had to focus on updating the profiles. It's something Herald would want to do after a battle so he and the others would know about what tricks and strategies their enemies had. This way, they can prepare themselves the next time they confronted their common enemies. Besides, this was Yuhiro's way of keeping Herald's memory alive.

He eventually made it to the backroom before sitting down on one of the chairs, where he immediately turned on the systems. There was a lot of work to get done, especially after everything that happened in Mirror LINK VRAINS. Yuhiro pulled up several profiles before organizing them in the order he wanted to do each one. Turning his head, he noticed that footage had been recorded on the monitor. After clicking it, Yuhiro noticed that the footage there showed what happened in Mirror LINK VRAINS. Well, most of it anyway, as the duel between him and Roxy, him and Azrael, the duel between Azrael and Slipstream, and most likely the duel between Playmaker and Kusanagi weren't there.

"Well, at least we have footage..." Yuhiro muttered, glad that he had footage on hand to look over. He really didn't want to look at the duels again, but it was necessary, or else he and the others would forget what happened. For knowledge was power, but at what cost when it came to Yuhiro? After all, once something was known, it cannot be unknown again. Yuhiro shook his head, knowing that he had to keep going no matter what. Using the footage, he immediately pulled up the footage from Azrael and Watchman's duel, knowing who to start with first.

"Alright, let's start on Watchman, or his real name, Arshad Saito. He's a traitor, liar, and hypocrite all of this time. What's more, he was an orchestrator, his goal being to acquire the Root of All Knowledge for himself." Words appeared on the 'Other Aliases', 'Name', and the 'Job' sections of the profile. "Watchman wanted to use it to save humanity, eradicate sin, and get revenge on Ukyos for his role in all of this. The goal of co-existence was nothing more than a sham."

Yuhiro narrowed his eyes after recalling this information. "For his deck, the 'Cubic' archetype focuses on evolving his monsters into either 'Cubic Beasts' or 'Cubic Kings', with differences between the two. The difference is that for the Cubic Beasts, the monsters need to destroy a monster for them to evolve, but get to attack multiple times in exchange. As for the Cubic Kings, the monsters simply need to battle for them to evolve, and inflict 800 damage upon being summoned. Ultimately, it depends on the opponent Watchman's facing." The 'Deck' section of Watchman's profile was edited as a result.

"As for his ace monster, that's Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord. The monster that truly represents the darkness in Watchman's heart." Yuhiro continued. "Not only can it not be targeted or destroyed by the opponent's card effects, it can also halve the opponent's life points upon declaring an attack. The deadlier thing is that it can make a second attack after destroying a monster by battle. Lastly, any effect damage the user would take is inflicted to the opponent instead. All in all, a monster that demonstrates just how much of a hypocrite and tainted monster Watchman is." The 'Ace monster' section of Watchman's profile then updated afterwards.

"Following the Lost Incident, Watchman destroyed his body in the real world to stay in the network, not like Dr. Kogami, where his mind was the only thing that was preserved. At some point after that, he recruited Demeter and Percival to join his cause by making deals with each one in exchange for their assistance." Yuhiro grit his teeth. "It's most likely he blackmailed them instead. Watchman's true colors were also revealed during his duel against Azrael, as well as his intention to acquire the Root of All Knowledge for himself. However, he somehow knew that Azrael and the others would lose in the end. Maybe it has to do with the Spatial Cube." The words on the 'LINK VRAINS History' section edited himself as Yuhiro said those words.

Yuhiro then noticed that the 'Skill' section in Watchman's profile was left blank, and after looking at the footage, got an idea. He typed on the digital keyboard, where he eventually found Watchman dueling against Bitboot. After watching the duel end very quickly, Yuhiro frowned. "According to the footage, Watchman's Skill is called Cubic Oblivion. It lets him Fusion Summon a 'Cubic' Fusion monster from his Extra Deck by using monsters in his hand, field, or deck as Fusion Material. What's more, that monster's unaffected by the opponent's card effects while on the field. A deadly Skill in the end." Words then appeared in the 'Skill' section of Watchman's profile.

"It's most likely that Watchman's past as an Inquisitor in the Inquisitorius contributed to who he is today." Yuhiro acknowledged. "He left to work at SOL Technologies, which was where he met Ukyos and Myojin, the trio working on Project: VIII with funding provided by the Dragon King at the time. Unfortunately, an escalation between the three led to Ukyos being trapped in the network, with Watchman helping Myojin and his family escape in the shadows. However..." He grit his teeth. "Ukyos sent his forces to kill Myojin and Lyla, where Watchman saved Yukage and I, only to hand us other to Dr. Kogami for the Lost Incident. He's most likely to be responsible for kidnapping the others as well. Watchman will pay dearly for what he's done to us." Words then appeared on the 'Notes' section of Watchman's profile.

"As for his duel grade, it's SS, or Sick Skills. Watchman's upgraded his deck since we last saw him, and he's even got martial arts skills from his time as an Inquisitor. Due to this, he was able to nearly destroy Lightning's barrier." After words appeared in the 'Skill' section of Watchman's profile, Yuhiro made the finishing touches on it, which eventually looked like this:

Name: Arshad Saito (his real world name).

VRAINS ID: Watchman

Other Aliases: The Last Inquisitor (maybe?), Traitor, Liar, and Hypocrite (everything he's done was for his own selfish goals)

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Residence: Den City

Job: Orchestrator (his goal all along was to acquire the Root of All Knowledge for himself, as well as use it to save humanity, eradicate sin, and get revenge on Ukyos for his role in all of this. The goal of co-existence was nothing more than a sham).

Deck: Cubic (an archetype that focuses on evolving his monsters into either 'Cubic Beasts' or 'Cubic Kings'. The difference is that for the Cubic Beasts, the monsters need to destroy a monster for them to evolve, but get to attack multiple times in exchange. As for the Cubic Kings, the monsters simply need to battle for them to evolve, and inflict 800 damage upon being summoned).

Ace Monster(s): Crimson Nova Trinity the Dark Cubic Lord (Watchman's ultimate monster, which represents his true colors. Not only can it not be targeted or destroyed by the opponent's card effects, it can also halve the opponent's life points upon declaring an attack. The deadlier thing is that it can make a second attack after destroying a monster by battle. Lastly, any effect damage the user would take is inflicted to the opponent instead. All in all, a monster that demonstrates just how much of a hypocrite and tainted monster Watchman is).

Skill: Cubic Oblivion (this Skill lets Watchman Fusion Summon a 'Cubic' Fusion monster by using monsters in his hand, field, or deck as Fusion Material. What's more, that monster's unaffected by the opponent's card effects while it's on the field. A very powerful Skill, as Watchman can bring out his ultimate monster without losing any cards in the process).

LINK VRAINS' History: According to Watchman, following the Lost Incident, he permanently stayed in the network by destroying his body in the real world. At some point, he recruited Demeter and Percival to join in his cause by making deals with them to assist in their personal goals if they agreed to help him. It's most likely that the deals were in the form of blackmail.

From there, Watchman played the role of a humble, repentant man in order to gain our trust so he can work with us in defeating our common goals. We actually believed him for a time, especially once he expressed his goal of ensuring co-existence between man and Ignis. However, Watchman revealed his true intentions during his duel against Azrael, along with his goals in using the Root of All Knowledge. Following that duel, Watchman cryptically told Azrael that he couldn't win, especially with how events were already in motion.

Duel Grade right now: SS (Sick Skills) (Watchman's skills as a duelist have gotten stronger since we last encountered him. He's also been revealed to be an Inquisitor with martial arts skills, along with weapons called Black Keys. Ones that nearly destroyed the barrier in Mirror LINK VRAINS)

Notes: Watchman's Cubic deck focuses on either engaging or destroying monsters in battle in order to evolve. The core component of the deck is Vijam the Cubic Seed. When that monster battles, it goes to the Spell & Trap card zone as a Continuous-Spell card before putting a 'Cubic' counter on the attacking monster. With that counter, the attacking monster can no longer attack, nor activate its abilities. It also returns to the field on his next turn, making it a pain to deal with. He also has 'Cubic' Spell and Trap cards to support his monsters.

Once upon a time, Watchman was an Inquisitor working at the Inquisitorius, and at some point, he left to work at SOL Technologies. It was there where he met Ukyos and Myojin, the trio working on Project: VIII with funding provided by the Dragon King at the time. Unfortunately, the escalation between the trio led to Ukyos being trapped in the network, with Watchman working with Myojin in escaping into the shadows.

However, Ukyos sent his forces to kill Myojin and Lyla, where Watchman immediately saved Yuhiro and Yukage... only for him to hand the boys over to Dr. Kogami for the Lost Incident. He's also very likely for bringing in the other victims as well. We're not sure how, but we will get answers... at all costs.

Satisfied with the updates, Yuhiro closed Watchman's profile before opening up Specter's profile. "We still don't know Specter's real-world identity after all of this time. As for his deck, its main strategies didn't change. However, during Specter's duel against Lightning, he was able to form an Extra Link and lock the opponent out of summoning monsters from the Extra Deck. Still, the moment a 'Sunavalon' monster leaves the field, the whole forest crumbles." Additional words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Specter's profile.

"Based on Specter's discussion with Lightning prior to his duel, he mentioned how he felt empty after Earth died. I never expected for Specter to admit such a thing." It's just like how Takeru, Miyu, Arashi, Yukage, and I felt after our respective Ignis' died, Yuhiro thought, as words appeared on the 'Notes' section of Specter's profile, "What's more, during the duel, Specter was able to determine that Lightning had a secret. Sadly, Specter's ability to provoke his enemies led to his undoing, as Lightning defeated him seconds later using Magnus Dux."

Yuhiro then typed on the digital keyboard, where he was able to eventually find Specter dueling against a Bitboot. "That's interesting. According to the footage, Specter's Skill is called Sunavalon Harvest. Once per duel, Specter can take up to 1000 points of damage before Special Summoning a 'Sunvine' Link monster to a Main Monster Zone a 'Sunavalon' Link monster points to. Not only does he gain life points equal to the number of life points lost by his Skill, all Plant Link monsters he controls and summons are unaffected by the opponent's card effects. All in all, it's a clever way for Specter to fortify his defense and offence for the turn." Words appeared on the 'Skill' section of Specter's profile.

"Based on the overall information gathered, Specter's duel grade is still at A-, or Apocalyptic with a minus." Yuhiro finished. "

Name: Unknown (we still don't know Specter's real identity after all of this time)

VRAINS ID: Specter (an odd name for someone who uses a deck revolving around plants and trees).

Other aliases: Revolver's second in command, Tree-Hugger (Ai came up with that one).

Gender: Male

Age: 16 (our best guess at the moment)

Residence: Unknown (likely to be with the other Hanoi at this point)

Job: Hanoi's second in command (and he's proven to be as strong as the other Hanoi members, so don't let him fool you).

Deck: Sunavalon/Sunvine (a troublesome, yet interesting deck. Focuses on Plant Link Monsters with defensive effects, mainly in the form of damage reduction. After doing so, Specter can quickly bring out a range of 'Sunvine' Link Monsters from his Extra Deck to deal with the situation at hand. Specter can also return Link Monsters to the Extra Deck to reuse them later and so he won't run out of targets to Special Summon. If done correctly, the Specter can form an Extra Link and lock the opponent out of summoning monsters from the Extra Deck, as evident by his duel against Lightning. Still, the main weakness of this deck is that it requires at least one 'Sunavalon' monster. Without it, the rest of his forest will crumble).

Ace Monster(s): Sunavalon Dryanome (a Link 3 monster that is Specter's ace monster. While it has no attack points, it can convert damage into life points thrice per turn, as well as Special Summon one 'Sunvine' Link Monster from the Extra Deck. With her arrows all pointing down, it gives Specter flexibility. In addition, if a monster Dryanome is pointing to is targeted for an attack, Specter can negate it by moving it to an unoccupied Main Monster Zone Dryanome is pointing to), Sunavalon Dryatrentiay (a Link 4 monster that is Specter's boss monster. In exchange for protection, it gains offensive, yet restrictive abilities. By tributing a Plant Link Monster, Specter can target Spells and Trap cards the opponent controls up to that monster's Link Rating and destroy them. However, monsters in the Main Monster Zones can't attack the turn he uses that effect).

Skill: Sunavalon Harvest (once per duel, Specter can take up to 1000 points of damage, and Special Summon a 'Sunvine' Link monster to a Main Monster Zone a 'Sunavalon' Link monster points to. Not only does he gain life points equal to the number of life points lost by his Skill, all Plant Link monsters he controls and summons are unaffected by the opponent's card effects. All in all, it helps Specter build his forest with no worries).

LINK VRAINS History: He was recruited to the Hanoi at a young age and the one who infected Aoi with a virus. The one who also defeated her in the most despicable way as well, but thankfully, he was stopped by Playmaker.

Unlike the other children, he actually enjoyed his torment in the Lost Incident because people paid attention to him for the first time. Looking at his perspective, it's understandable to an extent, but like the other Hanoi inexcusable. The world can be a cruel and unfair place to most people, but to others, they may use those experiences to keep going.

Duel Grade: A- (Apocalyptic with a -) (Specter may have only dueled up to three times, but his deck is far different from any Hanoi member, being that it focuses on slowly accumulating resources rather than a typical frontal assault. His history from the Lost Incident, combined with all the misdeeds he done while working with the Hanoi, make him dangerous. Specter's therefore someone we should prepare to duel against at all times).

Notes: Specter's Sunavalon deck focuses on Plant Link Monsters with defensive effects, mainly in the form of damage reduction. After doing so, Specter can quickly bring out a range of 'Sunvine' Link Monsters from his Extra Deck to deal with the situation at hand. Specter can also return Link Monsters to the Extra Deck to reuse them later and so he won't run out of targets to Special Summon. However, the main weakness of this deck is that it requires at least one 'Sunavalon' monster. Without it, the rest of his forest will crumble.

It turns out that Specter had a connection with Earth after all, despite the two of them having never interacted with one another. Specter's also an intuitive person, having been able to read Lightning and determine that he has a complex. Unfortunately, it led to Specter's undoing, as Lightning destroyed his precious mommy tree with Magnus Dux. To put it simply, Specter's arrogance got the better of him.

Satisfied with the updates, Yuhiro closed up Specter's profile before pulling up Windy's profile. He had a long way to go, but Yuhiro was determined to see all of these profiles through.

"There are a few updates regarding Windy's profile, so I'll start with his new ace monster: Stormriderflagship Custom Bahamut Bomber." Yuhiro began speaking. "A Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points in exchange for using two or more 'Stormrider' Link monsters as Link material. This monster has two effects. Once per turn, if Windy has no cards in his Spell & Trap card zone, he can target a monster his opponent controls and place it in their Spell & Trap card zone, and treat it as a Continuous-Spell card. Custom Bahamut Bomber's second effect allows Windy to destroy all Spell and Trap cards in the opponent's Spell & Trap card zone before inflicting 500 points of damage to them. Not only can Windy use this effect once per turn, during either player's turn, the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effect. It gave Arashi a hard time, but he was able to overcome its strength in the end." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Windy's profile.

"After Arashi defeated Windy, he was given the chance to leave him to his death, only for the former to take his remains. Arashi did this so he can ensure that Windy lives on and repays his actions for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, thanks to Lightning corrupting Windy, Arashi will never have that chance to bond with Windy." Yuhiro grit his teeth as words appeared on the 'LINK VRAINS History' section of Windy's profile.

"The weirdest thing is that before getting fully absorbed, Windy asked Ai to give a portion of his data to Arashi. I don't know what it is, but it should hopefully turn the tide of the battle in our favor should it be needed." Yuhiro continued, as words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Windy's profile. Words also popped up in the 'Residence' section of Windy's profile, as if to indicate that he was dead. "Overall, there's not too many updates for this profile. To close it up, Windy's duel grade will remain the same, as he's only had a total of two duels. A part of him was shocked after Arashi chose to spare Windy, and it seemed he regretted his actions for a moment there. What's more, Windy's original personality may have resurfaced despite Lightning's attempt to supress it through the corruption." Words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section before Yuhiro made final edits, which consisted of the following:

Name: Windy

VRAINS ID: Windy

Other aliases: The Wind Ignis, Arashi's attempted murderer and former partner.

Gender: Male

Age: 10 years old

Residence: Deceased (thanks to Lightning and Bohman's actions, Windy, along with a majority of the other Ignis, are gone).

Job: Humanity's enemy, with Lightning and the others.

Skill: Storm Access (this sucker can use this Skill in a Master Duel as well, which lets him obtain a random Cyberse Link monster from the data storm when his life points are 1000 or less. It's been revealed that Windy passed this Skill onto Bohman at Lightning's request).

Deck: Stormrider (an archetype that focuses on manipulating the opponent's Spell & Trap Zone using various effects to inflict effect damage, as well as using Field Spells to negate the opponent's Link Monsters' effects, boost the ATK of his own monsters, and force the opponent to engage said monsters in battle. Ai calls it a strong first punch, as he strategically specialises in taking out the enemy's back row before getting the all-clear to attack. Cautious, as he said as he doesn't do anything which will risk him getting hurt. A good strategy which also requires him not to have any back row of his own).

Ace monster: Stormridership Bahamut Bomber (a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points. Upon Link Summon, Windy can target a card on his opponent's field and destroy it, as well as inflict 500 points of damage. In addition, Windy can target a Spell or Trap card on the field, destroy it, and inflict 500 points of damage as well once per turn), Stormriderflagship Custom Bahamut Bomber (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. A very powerful monster, overall).

LINK VRAINS' history: Raguel and the others encountered Windy in Windyland, who was willing to point him and the others in the direction to where Bohman was. He seemed suspicious at the time, given his carefree, yet cautious attitude, as evident by him claiming that he didn't know someone else was in Windyland.

Said he doesn't trust humans, which is understandable given the Hanoi's actions on the Ignis.

We recently realized that Windy was planning to attack humanity with Lightning from the start, given he tried to kill Arashi twice.

Together with Wraith and Lightning, Windy was able to trap Playmaker, Ai, Raguel, and Herald, but were luckily (or unluckily) saved by Revolver, who proceeded to destroy Windy in their following duel. The Hanoi also nearly defeated Windy, and they would have succeeded had Ai not called Lightning and Wraith to save them (Arashi's furious with Ai for doing that, even though he understands how the death of one Ignis would bring all of them to extinction at a much faster rate than humans).

After Arashi defeated Windy, he was given the chance to let Windy die, but chose to take his remains in order to ensure that he lives on and repays for his actions for the rest of his life. Unfortunately, thanks to Lightning corrupting Windy, Arashi will never have that chance to bond with Windy.

Duel Grade right now: A (Apocalyptic) (As evident by his duels against Revolver and Slipstream, Windy is very tricky to go up against. That, combined with his actions, makes him a nutcase who doesn't regret any of his actions. Then again, Windy was surprised that Arashi chose to spare him, and it was as though he regretted his actions for a moment).

Notes: Like Arashi, Windy is playful to an extent before it goes to him being psychotic and malicious. Having attempted on killing Arashi twice, as well as putting his cousin to the hospital, Arashi sought revenge against Windy, while the latter no doubt wants to kill him still. However, the former spared the latter, intent on making him repent for his actions. Thanks to Lightning and Azrael, any chance of a bond between Arashi and Windy was shattered.

Windy was easy to talk to, as per input from Ai. However, Lightning corrupted Windy, and forced him to join his side, thus making Windy a casualty of war overall.

After Bohman was defeated, Ai gave something to Arashi that Windy told him to give to his Origin. I don't know what it is, but it should hopefully turn the tide of the battle in our favor should it be needed.

With Windy's profile having been updated, Yuhiro closed it up before opening up Lightning's profile. He narrowed his eyes, pure anger evident in them as he recalled every single one of Lightning's actions.

"Lightning. One of the two bastards who hurt all of us, especially how his actions led to Flame, Aqua, Windy, and Earth dying with him. I'm just glad he's deceased after being fully assimilated by Bohman." Yuhiro began speaking, as words appeared in the 'Residence' section of Lightning's profile. "In his duel against Revolver, more of Lightning's crimes have been revealed. He infected Dr. Kogami to silence him, and according to Wraith, any Ignis would have done the same thing. The ironic thing was that this action was what kept Azrael from eliminating him. Honestly, I would have preferred that Azrael killed Lightning." Words began to pop up in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Lightning's profile.

"Lightning tried to justify his actions by saying that it was all for the Cyberse World's survival, but that was all a lie. Another crime Lightning committed was brainwashing Windy into allying with him. If it weren't for Lightning, then Arashi and Windy would have been good friends." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Lightning's profile.

Yuhiro rubbed the sides of his head as he began to remember more information. "Lightning has a new ace monster in Armatos Legio Magnus Dux, a Link 4 monster that has 3000 attack points. In exchange, Lightning must use three or more 'Armatos Legio' monsters as Link material. Once, Lightning can use Magnus Dux's effect to target and return cards to the users' hand from their Graveyard or field up to the number of monsters it's co-linked with. In addition, if the opponent activates a Link monster while Magnus Dux points to a monster, Lightning can simply negate the effect and destroy it. While a little more costly to Link Summon, when combined with the strategy the 'Armatos Legio' archetype revolves around, Magnus Dux's effect can help Lightning turn the duel around if needed." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Lightning's profile.

"Lightning's immorality didn't just stop at him destroying the Cyberse World and capturing Jin. He attempted to use Jin as a hostage to escape defeat at Revolver's hands." Yuhiro recalled. "Had it not been for Bohman taking in Jin's, Specter's, and Percival's respective consciousness data, then Lightning would have played that card again and again. It's a good thing Bohman was someone who valued honor, that's for sure." Words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Lightning's profile.

"Overall, Lightning's someone who can never be forgiven, and I am actually grateful that he's dead. After all, if he was never born, then the likelihood of co-existence between Ignis and mankind would have massively increased." More words then popped up in the 'Notes' section of Lightning's profile. "As for Lightning's duel grade, it will remain at S+, or Savage with a +. All of his actions made everyone suffer one way or another, and even led to the destruction of the other Ignis. Plus, due to him using pieces of Jin's consciousness data, he technically didn't lose any duels during the war. Thus, his death is well-deserved karma for his actions." After edits were made to the 'Duel Grade' section of Lightning's profile, Yuhiro then cleaned it up by making edits so it looked like this:

Name: Lightning

VRAINS ID: Lightning

Other aliases: The Light Ignis, Enemy of Humanity, The Ignis Hunter Azrael's affiliated with, Former Leader of the Ignis, Smartest and Fastest of them all, Traitor to Cyberse World, Maker of Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot, Ignis made from Jin

Gender: Male

Age: 10 years old

Residence: Deceased (Lightning died in Mirror LINK VRAINS after being fully assimilated into Bohman. Good riddance).

Job: Enemy Mastermind (as evident by his actions, it makes sense).

Skill: Unknown (he didn't use his Skill during his Speed Duel against Soulburner).

Deck: Armatos Legio (an archetype that focuses on swarming the field with lots of weak monsters in order to summon powerful Link Monsters. More specifically, they focus on "forming various battle formations with their comrades", which manifests as abilities that the weaker monsters give to the stronger Link monsters. Judgment Arrows is also one of the cards for this archetype, the very card that destroyed Cyberse world and the symbol of his faction. Also has various cards to counter Judgement Arrows' drawbacks, naturally given he is its' creator. Last but not least, Lightning can shift his strategies in a hurry depending on the situation).

Ace monster: Armatos Legio Legatus Legionis (a Link 3 monster with 2400 attack points. Once per turn, during either player's turn, Lightning can send one Level 4 'Armatos Legio' monster to his Graveyard to Special Summon a new one to his field in a Main Monster Zone Legatus Legionis points to. Combined with an effect that makes Legatus Legionis unaffected by the opponent's card effects, this enables Lightning to quick shift between offense and defense), Armatos Legio Magnus Dux (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. Being Lightning's ultimate monster, he can use its effect to return cards to the owner's hand up to the number of monsters it's co-linked with. If the opponent activates a Link monster while Magnus Dux points to a monster, Lightning can simply negate the effect and destroy it. While a little more costly to Link Summon, Magnus Dux's effect can help Lightning turn the duel around if needed).

LINK VRAINS' history: Lightning's the culprit who destroyed the Cyberse World three months ago in an effort to bring the Ignis under one belief: That humanity is evil. He created Bohman, Haru, and Bitboot to mass up an army against humanity. He even succeeded in having five of the Ignis, one of which being him, being absorbed into Bohman. Thanks to Lightning and Bohman, Flame, Aqua, Windy, and Earth are all dead.

Lightning's committed more crimes, as he infected Dr. Kogami to silence him, and according to Wraith, any Ignis would have done the same thing. The funny thing was that this action was what kept Azrael from eliminating him. Being self-righteous and narrow minded, Lightning tried to justify his actions by saying that it was all for the Cyberse World's survival, but that was all a lie. Another crime Lightning committed was brainwashing Windy into allying with him. If it weren't for Lightning, then Arashi and Windy would have been good friends.

Duel Grade right now: S+ (Savage with a +) (Lightning's deck, combined with his actions, makes him a very dangerous individual, especially in how they affected everyone. He was the one who orchestrated the Ignis' demise, as well as made so many people suffer. Plus, due to him using pieces of Jin's consciousness data, he technically didn't lose any duels during the war. Thus, his death is well-deserved karma for his actions).

Notes: Lightning put Jin under his control, and has claimed that humans can corrupt the Ignis because they're closely connected. Hard to imagine someone as good hearted as Jin could give rise to someone so diabolic.

Lightning's didn't just controlled Jin. He also used him as a hostage in an attempt to escape defeat at Revolver's hands. If it weren't for Bohman, then Lightning would have played that card over and over again. The good news was that Bohman was someone who valued honor, as he took back Jin's, Specter's, and Percival's respective consciousness data from Lightning so the duel can continue.

All in all, Lightning's someone whose actions can never be forgiven. His existence was what led a majority of the Ignis to be destroyed. Dr. Kogami, for this reason, formed the Hanoi to eradicate them all. Nevertheless, Lightning's dead for good, so good riddance to a monster like him.

Yuhiro left out a breath of relief after finishing up Lightning's profile, having closed it up before opening up Malf's profile. In Yuhiro's mind, just like with Windy and Lightning, this was the last time he had to update Malf's profile. "Let's see. In terms of recent developments, Malf was able to use his Skill against Soulburner during their duel, which means he can use it even during a Master Duel. Just like with how Bohman and Windy were able to use their Skills during their Master Duels." Words popped up in the 'Skill' section of Malf's profile.

"Malf, being Azrael's warrior, completed other jobs after my encounter with him. Jobs that had a long-term impact on us. This included hunting down people and eating their hearts, attacking the Hanoi and incapacitating Dancho mortally, sending Go and Gekiryushi to the hospital, and more." Words appeared on the 'Job' section of Malf's profile.

"Along with accumulating 'Darkscourge' counters so he can Link Summon his monsters by using them, Malf now has a Link Spell card called Darkscourge Arrows." Yuhiro continued. "When a monster Darkscourge Arrows points to battles, the effects of the opponent's monster are negated, and said monster loses half of its attack points until the end of the damage step. However, it's costly to use, as all of Malf's monsters that point to Darkscourge Arrows are banished after it leaves the field. You could say it's a costly version of Judgment Arrows." Words then appeared on the 'Deck' section of Malf's profile.

"Malf also has a new ace monster in the form of Darkscourge Black Doom, which is a Link 4 monster that has 3500 attack points. Upon being Link Summoned, Malf can negate the effects of all cards on the opponent's field until the End Phase, no matter if they were face-up or face-down. Once per turn, Malf can target a monster on the opponent's field, and have Black Doom not only gain that monster's original attack points, but that monster's effects until the End Phase. And if the opponent's monster declares an attack, all of their cards are destroyed. The worst part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of each of Black Doom's effects." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Malf's profile. "That's not the only thing. Apparently, Malf's used monsters based off of Dancho's, Kenmochi's, Yoroizaka's, Gekiryushi's, and Go's ace monsters. Specifically, Draco Masters of the Tenyi, Gouki the Blade Ogre, Gouki the Solid Ogre, The Six Samurai – Tajima, and Dinowrestler King T-Wrextle. Malf's goal in using these monsters wasn't just to strengthen his deck, but also a way to drive his enemies into despair." More words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Malf's profile.

Yuhiro pondered this information over before something crossed his mind. "Ever since our first encounter, Malf's been eating hearts, and after finishing doing so, launched an attack on the Hanoi with a small squad of Bitboots and Speckles to try and eliminate them. According to Infearno, Malf ate Dancho's heart, which was how he evolved into his second form. Since then, he's worked with Azrael and Lightning in their attempts to defeat us. Examples include participating in the attack on the central station, inflicting injuries on Go by taking his heart, taking control of Drachen to use as a puppet against the Hanoi, and more." Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Malf's profile.

"On the topic of Drachen, that he was the Hanoi's spy in obtaining information on their behalf. This information was what led Azrael and Malf to hunt down and control Drachen for their own uses. As a result, the two of them hurt Revolver in a massive way. Using a person's loved ones to hurt them.. such a cruel thing to do. A cowardly act as well." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Malf's profile.

"It turns out that Malf's a living embodiment of the Another Virus, which resulted in him obtaining free will. Once the Hanoi's tool to be used and discarded now became Azrael's instrument of destruction. An instrument that contributed towards the Hanoi losing almost everything." Yuhiro added, as more words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Malf's profile.

"Overall, Malf's duel grade will be bumped up to SS, or Sick Skills. For an AI that was deceased after the war in Mirror LINK VRAINS, he's gotten stronger, as evident by the forms he took after eating people's hearts. He also uses the ace monsters of his fallen opponents in order to drive his new opponents into despair, each ace monster either having totally new effects, or upgraded and perverted versions of their current effects. It's not just Malf's dueling that's made him deadly as a duelist. It's all the actions he's done that caused us all harm one way or another, thus leading him to be one of our deadliest enemies so far." Words appeared in the 'Residence' and 'Duel Grade' sections of Malf's profile, and once Yuhiro made the final touches on the profile, it looked like this:

Name: Malf

VRAINS ID: Malf (it's the only identity we have of him).

Other aliases: Carnage Incarnate (for a good reason. He's killed people in the network and sending them to the Den City Hospital due to cardiogenic shock. Luckily, he's dead, which means those who are still living have been restored).

Gender: Male (he got more pronounced as he evolved, absorbing some traits of the people absorbed into his psyche in the process. Proved to be his undoing in the end thanks to Go indirectly helping us).

Skill: Delusional Heartbeat (the first Duel-Winner Skill we ever faced. When Malf has 2000 life points or less, he can target one monster on the opponent's field and place a 'Malady' counter on it. If a 'Darkscourge' monster on Malf's field destroys that monster and sends it to the Graveyard, the opponent instantly loses no matter how many life points they have. This Skill continues throughout the duel as well. Luckily, Raguel was able to counter it, so there's hope). The worst part is that Malf was able to somehow use this Skill in a Master duel, just like with Bohman and Windy using Storm Access during their Master duels.

Age: Unknown (still is deranged even after evolving a total of three times).

Job: Azrael's Warrior (Malf told Raguel that he worked for Azrael during their first encounter. Following their encounter, Malf performed numerous jobs for Azrael, such as attacking the Hanoi, hurting people by eating their hearts, sending Go and Gekiryushi to the hospital, and more).

Residence: Deceased (he also died following the battles in Mirror LINK VRAINS).

Deck: Darkscourge (a Cyberse deck that focuses on Link Summoning using 'Darkscourge' counters. Ensures Malf always has monsters to use. He also has Hand Traps and regular Spell and Trap cards to solidify his defense just enough for him to use his Skill. In addition, Malf as a Link Spell to further augment his offensive strategies, but at the cost of losing his monsters should it leave the field. A more offensive version of Judgment Arrows, in other words).

Ace Monster: Darkscourge Black Bull (a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points. All of its Link Markers point downwards, which enables Malf to Link Summon more 'Darkscourge' Link monsters. Once per turn, he can reduce the attack points of a 'Darkscourge' Link monster on his field to reduce the attack and defense points of the opponent's monster to zero, leading to maximum damage. In addition, Malf can remove three 'Darkscourge' counters either from 'Darkscourge Star Core' or 'Darkscourge Generator' to return 'Darkscourge Black Bull' back to his Extra Deck, but only once), Darkscourge Black Doom (a Link 4 monster with 3500 attack points. The worst part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of each of Black Doom's effects).

Along with Black Bull and Black Doom, Malf's also used monsters based off of Dancho, SengokuQueen, Go, Kenmochi, and Yoroizaka's ace monsters. It's a trait he's obtained, as he also uses the ace monsters of people he's defeated in order to drive his opponents into despair.

Link VRAINS History: Malf first appeared in the Black Market, where he practically ate Monty alive when he failed to deliver an Ignis to Azrael as promised. Since then, Malf has been feasting on several people in the Black Market, getting stronger with each victim. He then appeared and challenged Raguel to a duel, which Raguel barely won. Following that duel, Malf practically 'exploded' in the hopes of destroying Raguel and Herald. While the both of them survived, Herald was badly wounded, causing him to heal his wounds for the entire night.

Since then, Malf's continued to eat people's hearts before launching an attack on the Hanoi with Speckles and very likely a squad of Bitboots. According to Infearno, Malf ate Dancho's heart, which was how he evolved into his second form. Since then, he's worked with Azrael and Lightning in their attempts to defeat us. Examples include participating in the attack on the central station, inflicting injuries on Go by taking his heart, taking control of Drachen to use as a puppet against the Hanoi, and more.

During his duel against Soulburner, Malf revealed that he was a living embodiment of the Another Virus, which resulted in him obtaining free will. Once the Hanoi's tool to be used and discarded now became Azrael's instrument of destruction, also the one who destroyed Uchida Industries leaving the Hanoi with nothing.

On the topic of Drachen, it was also revealed that he was the Hanoi's spy in obtaining information on their behalf. This information was what led Azrael and Malf to hunt down and control Drachen for their own uses. As a result, the two of them hurt Revolver in a massive way.

Duel Grade right now: SS (SS for Sick Skills) (Malf's deck is unpredictable, as it incorporates a unique strategy that Link Summons using 'Darkscourge' counters, thus freeing up his other Main Monster Zones. He also uses the ace monsters of his fallen opponents in order to drive his new opponents into despair, each ace monster either having totally new effects, or upgraded and perverted versions of their current effects. It's not just Malf's dueling that's made him deadly as a duelist. It's all the actions he's done that caused us all harm one way or another. Combined with his Skill and other cards, he's a deadly opponent to face off against).

Notes: Malf was an AI created by Azrael when he practically ate Monty alive. Since his appearance, he's been feasting on people and sending them to the Den City Hospital due to cardiogenic shock. The hospital will be overwhelmed by the increase in patients if this keeps up.

Malf's self-destruction, from what I can deduce, was a warning to those who would challenge Azrael. He's also used this technique against Revolver, thus leading him to lose Storm Access.

Of all the AIs we fought, Malf was the only organic AI to exist so far. I don't want to even think about if there are any others out there.

Yuhiro chuckled after finishing up Malf's profile for a final time before closing it. He would never have to open it up again, which as a massive relief for him. As such, Yuhiro pulled up Takeru's profile, knowing that changes had to be made due to recent events. Better to do a profile on an ally than a friend. "Let's see. According to Takeru, he lives in his grandparents' house and commutes from here and back, as evident by his story." Words appeared in the 'Residence' section of Takeru's profile.

"On the topic of his story, after the Lost Incident and learning about his parents' deaths, Takeru was filled with anger and hopelessness, to the point where he became a bit of a bully. At least he kept the thugs in check. His only friend at the time was a girl named Kiku, who was able to reach out and connect with Takeru." Words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Takeru's profile, which made Yuhiro sigh as he continued speaking. "When Flame met Takeru and helped him overcome his fears, the two of them went to Den City to meet Playmaker, where they eventually met with Arashi and I. Now with the Ignis war over, it's most likely that Takeru may move back home now that the enemy has been defeated." More words appeared on the 'Notes' section of Takeru's profile.

"Still, Takeru suffered the lingering effects of the Lost Incident, especially with his parents dying in their search for him." Yuhiro said. "As such, he's harboring a grudge against the Hanoi for what they did to him, and how their actions led to his parents dying. Despite teaming up with the Hanoi, I have a feeling that Takeru and Revolver will have their grudge match soon." More words appeared on the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Takeru's profile.

"Takeru's recently incorporated Xyz Summoning into his deck, which contributed towards Malf's defeat, and ultimately freeing the victims from the injuries that Malf inflicted on them. As for those who died, at least they can rest in peace, knowing that their killer is defeated." Some words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Takeru's profile, while other words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section. "The Xyz monster Soulburner summoned is called Salamangreat Miragestallio, a Rank 3 monster with 2000 attack points and 900 defense points. By detaching an Overlay Unit, Takeru can Special Summon one 'Salamangreat' monster from his deck to his field. And if Miragestallio is used as Link Material for the Link Summon of a 'Salamangreat' monster, Soulburner can target a monster on his opponent's field and return it to their hand. To put it simply, it works as a supporter rather than a beat stick. Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix, on the other hand, fulfils that role in a spectacular fashion. Being a Link 4 monster with 2800 attack points, Pyro Phoenix can not only can it destroy all cards the opponent controls upon being Reincarnation Link Summoned, it can also Special Summon a Link monster back to the opponent's field before inflicting massive damage. To sum it up, it's Takeru's best monster so far." Those words then appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Takeru's profile.

"Based on this information overall, I can say that Takeru's duel grade is S+, or Savage with a plus." Yuhiro stated. "His have increased to the point where he was able to duel on par with Malf in his final form and win, along with contending against Bohman for as long as he can later on. Takeru's going to get stronger moving forward, that I have confidence with." Words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Takeru's profile, and once Yuhiro made final edits, the profile looked like this:

Name: Takeru Homura

Link VRAINS ID: Soulburner (symbolizes how his soul will continue to burn no matter the opposition).

Other aliases: According to Frog and Pigeon, he's known as the Fire duelist and potential new hero in LINK VRAINS. Also known as the Hottest Topic (I mean, that makes sense, considering his fiery appearance).

Gender: Male

Skill: Burning Draw (once per duel, Soulburner can reduce his life points to 100, and for every 1000 life points paid, he gets to draw an additional card from his deck. It's a risky Skill, but he can tide of a duel can turn with a single card so perhaps when one has nothing to loose it pays off. The Skill, however, takes a toll on Soulburner after the duel. Through exercise and good nutrition, he might be able to overcome it. Flame loves this Skill, as it represents a fire reigniting during a duel).

Age: 16

Job: Duelist (since he found out about Playmaker, he logged into LINK VRAINS in the hopes of meeting and potentially working with him. His efforts paid off when he introduced himself as a victim of the Lost Incident, as well as introducing his partner, the Fire Ignis, Flame to them. We have another ally. Hooray).

Residence: His grandparents' house (we figured that out after Takeru told us his story a while back).

Deck: Salamangreat (a strong fiery Cyberse deck based around animals and fire. Fitting since he's allied with the Fire Ignis. And is it me, or do the creatures resemble animals from The Lion King? Anyway, back on topic. This deck focuses primarily on Reincarnation Link Summoning, where with the use of certain cards can enable one Link monster to link summon another copy of itself with added effects. A very unique effect of Link monsters and gives ideas for link potential to explore. In the event it doesn't work, Soulburner also incorporated Ritual, Fusion and Xyz Summoning as backup to decimate the opponent).

Ace Monster: Salamangreat Heatleo (a Link 3 monster with 2300 attack points. When he's Link Summoned, Soulburner can target one Spell or Trap card the opponent controls and shuffle it back into their deck. When he's Reincarnation Link Summoned though, Soulburner can target a monster the opponent controls and a 'Salamangreat' monster in his Graveyard to change the opponent's monster's attack points to match the second targeted monster's attack points. Very clever ability), Salamangreat Emerald Eagle (a Ritual monster with 2800 attack points and 2000 defense points. By tributing a 'Salamangreat' Link monster, Emerald Eagle can instantly destroy an opponent's monster no matter how strong that monster was, and then inflict damage equal to that monster's attack points. A very good effect, that's for sure), Salamangreat Violet Chimera (a Fusion monster with 2800 attack points and 2000 defense points, which can be Fusion Summoned by using a monster on the opponent's field. The classic yeet, that's for sure. When he's Fusion Summoned, Violet Chimera gains attack points equal to half the combined attack points of the Fusion materials. If that wasn't enough, when he battles a monster whose attack points are different than its original attack points, Violet Chimera can double his attack points during that battle. Oh, wait. There's one last effect. If Violet Chimera was Reincarnation Fusion Summoned and he battles an opponent's monster, that monster loses all of its attack points), Salamangreat Miragestallio (a Rank 3 Xyz monster with 2000 attack points and 900 defense points. By detaching an Overlay unit, Soulburner can Special Summon one 'Salamangreat' monster from his deck to his field. And if Miragestallio is used as Link Material for the Link Summon of a 'Salamangreat' monster, Soulburner can target a monster on his opponent's field and return it to their hand. To put it simply, it works as a supporter, and assists in building Soulburner's combos until he pushes for the win), Salamangreat Pyro Phoenix (a Link 4 monster with 2800 attack points. Not only can it destroy all cards the opponent controls upon being Reincarnation Link Summoned, it can also Special Summon a Link monster back to the opponent's field before inflicting massive damage. All in all, Soulburner's best monster yet).

Link VRAINS History: First appeared against Bitboot and defeated him in spectacular fashion. Since then, he's been our ally through thick and thin in numerous scenarios.

As evident by our meeting with the Hanoi, Soulburner still harbors a grudge for what they did to him, as well as the events that indirectly led to his parents' deaths. Can't blame him, as if I were in his shoes, I'd feel the same way.

During the war in Mirror LINK VRAINS, Soulburner was able to defeat Malf for good, which freed the victims Malf injured. But for those people who died... at least they get to rest in peace, knowing that their murderer is dead.

Still, it's very likely Soulburner will duel Revolver in the future, especially how they're at odds with one another.

Duel Grade right now: S+ (Savage with a +) (Soulburner's dueling skills have increased to the point where he was able to duel on par with Malf in his final form AND win. Considering how he demonstrated Ritual, Fusion, and now Xyz Summoning, as well as Reincarnation Link Summoning, Soulburner's going to get stronger moving forward).

Notes: Like Yuhiro, Yusaku, Jin, Miyu, and Specter, Takeru has been a victim of the Lost Incident. Before Takeru came here, he was filled with anger and hopelessness after both the Lost Incident and after learning about his parents' deaths. Not only did he miss out on school, he was also a bit of a bully too, being able to intimidate thugs into leaving people alone. Takeru even had the skills to back it up too.

At the time, Kiku was his only friend until he met Flame, who told him about the Hanoi and Playmaker. Following this meeting, Takeru was motivated to go to Den City and meet with Playmaker in order to move forward, which led to him becoming one of our most valuable allies. With the Ignis war over, it's most likely that Takeru may move back home now that the enemy has been defeated.

Satisfied with the updates on Takeru's profile, Yuhiro closed it up before opening Arashi's profile. "We have some new information on us. First, Slipstream's real world identity is Arashi Hada, and he came from Tokyo. Specifically, a family of engineers and programmers, who helped Arashi get through the Lost Incident. the incident led Arashi to have a lot of pent-up anger in him, where he logged into the network to duel against duelists and to master his deck. On the topic of his deck, he created it and submitted his idea for a contest, where he ended up winning in the end. According to Arashi, he got Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from his grandfather." Words appeared in the 'Name' and 'Notes' sections of Arashi's profile.

"After his family grounded Arashi, his cousin, Takeda took him to the Tokyo Horizon Institute, which led him to enter a contest for a scholarship. Unfortunately, Arashi's life was turned upside down after Windy tried to kill him, only for Takeda to take the blow instead." Yuhiro frowned as more words appeared in the 'Notes' section. "That's what led him to seek out my help, and eventually meet the others as well."

Yuhiro frowned as he recalled this information. Arashi had certainly gone a long way since he came to Den City from Tokyo. He went from someone who was hellbent on getting revenge to a person who was able to move forward despite everything that happened. Why couldn't Yuhiro do that? He snapped out of his thoughts before narrowing his eyes at the screen. "Anyhow, with Takeda having woken up, it's likely that Arashi will move out soon." Words popped up in the 'Residence' section of Arashi's profile.

"I guess you could say that Arashi was able to move on from his quest to get revenge on Windy thanks to myself, Yusaku, and Herald. He may have even got help from other people as well." Yuhiro added, as words began appearing in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Arashi's profile. "Arashi was even willing to obtain Windy's remains so he can not only remake his Ignis, but also ensure that he repents for his mistakes in the process. But thanks to Lightning and Azrael, a friendship between Arashi and Windy will never happen."

Yuhiro scrolled through the feed from the footage, which showed the duel between Arashi and Windy. After seeing the last part of the duel, Yuhiro frowned, having recalled it successfully. "Arashi brought out a new ace monster in the form of Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon, the evolution of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, which has 3000 attack points and 2500 defense points. Once per turn, when a monster's effect is activated, Slipstream can negate the effect and destroy it, and by doing so, it gains the attack points of the destroyed monster until the end of the turn. If Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon battles a Level 5 or higher monster, it gains attack points equal to the current attack points of the opponent's monster it battles during damage calculation. Both effects can be used on the opponent's turn as well. While the second effect will rarely be used due to how duelists use Link monsters most of the time, the first effect will be used more often." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Arashi's profile, as if it were being updated.

"In the end, Arashi's duel grade will be an S for Savage." Yuhiro decided. "Since we've met Arashi, his dueling skills increased over the course of every duel he participates in. While he lost a few times, he was able to tie against Haru and Playmaker, and even defeated Windy, his own Ignis in a duel. He was even able to go toe to toe against Azrael as well, and even do better than Watchman or Infearno did in their respective duels." Words appeared in the 'Duel grade' section before Yuhiro made final edits to the profile, which looked like this once he was done:

Name: Arashi Hada (that's his name in the real world).

Link VRAINS ID: Slipstream (perhaps he'll tell us why he chose that name later on).

Other aliases: Speedster (makes sense, considering his deck), Mischievous Prankster (again, makes sense. Able to recreate Mechagodzilla and scare poor Herald. Almost similar to how Windy scared Ai, Flame, and Herald).

Gender: Male

Skill: Speedy Drift (once per duel, he can negate an attack regarding a Wind Synchro monster during either player's turn and roll a dice, allowing that monster to gain 100 attack points times the result).

Age: 15 (correct estimate).

Job: Ally on Raguel and Playmaker's side (Since joining our team, Arashi's proven to be an invaluable member of the team, especially how his knowledge in programming and hacking is greater than everything we've seen).

Residence: Cafe Matsuo (maybe formerly. Arashi plans to return to Tokyo and take care of Takeda due to him waking up).

Deck: Speedroid (a Wind Machine deck that relies on luck and dice rolls. The deck also focuses on rapid Synchro Summoning, and once he brings out his ace monster, switches to a lockdown strategy to reduce the opponent's moves. All in all, not a bad deck).

Ace Monster: Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (a Level 7 Synchro monster with 2500 attack points and 2000 defense points. She has an effect capable of countering most monsters, thus making her a very strong defensive monster who can shield herself or other monsters that are level 5 or above), Hi-Speedroid Kitedrake (a Level 8 Synchro monster with 3000 attack points and 2800 defense points. Upon being Synchro Summoned, Slipstream can choose one of two effects, and both can change the duel in his favor. What's more, if Kitedrake is sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card, Slipstream can add a 'Speedroid' monster from his deck to his hand), Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon (a Level 8 Synchro monster with 3000 attack points and 2500 defense points. While the second effect will rarely be used due to how duelists use Link monsters most of the time, the first effect will be used more often. All in all, a powerful monster).

Link VRAINS History: First met at the Gamma Branch of the Black Market for some reason and was rescued by Raguel. He reappeared to keep an eye on Raguel and assist him, only to end up dueling against Haru instead.

Slipstream popped up a second time to assist Raguel when we were trying to reach the gate, and then arranged to meet up with Raguel before dueling him. From there, we had Slipstream partake in a series of tests to ensure that his skills would contribute greatly towards the cause. The last test he passed was him telling us the story of what happened following the Lost Incident.

After Slipstream learned the truth about who put his cousin, Takeda, in the hospital, he wanted to get payback on Windy for what he did. Luckily, advice from Playmaker and Herald helped Slipstream make a decision for the better. Upon defeating Windy, Slipstream put his remains into his duel disk, only for him to end up losing it after being defeated by Azrael.

Duel Grade right now: S (S for Savage) (Since we've met Arashi, his dueling skills increased over the course of every duel he participates in. While he lost a few times, he was able to tie against Haru and Playmaker, and even defeated Windy, his own Ignis in a duel. He was even able to go toe to toe against Azrael as well, and even do better than Watchman or Infearno did in their respective duels).

Notes: Arashi Hada comes from a family of engineers and programmers, who managed to help him recover after the Lost Incident. However, the incident led Arashi to have a lot of pent-up anger in him, where he logged into the network to duel against duelists and to master his deck. On the topic of his deck, he created it and submitted his idea for a contest, where he ended up winning in the end. According to Arashi, he got Clear Wing Synchro Dragon from his grandfather.

Following the Gamma branch incident, Arashi's family grounded him from the network, which led him to go with Takeda to the Tokyo Horizon Institute. After meeting Takeda's friends and learning more about what happens there, it led Arashi to enter his invention into a contest to win a scholarship. After winning, Arashi and his friends went to celebrate... only for Windy to appear and attempt to kill him, only for Takeda to take the blow instead.

This act led Arashi to leave Tokyo and go to Den City to seek Raguel's help. Eventually, he joined our group and became a valuable team member. With the Ignis war over, it's likely that Arashi will move back to Tokyo to take care of Takeda, who has woken up and in the process of recovery.

Yuhiro closed up Arashi's profile after saving the changes before clicking onto Aoi's profile. He then clicked through the footage before seeing the duel between Blue Maiden and Haru. "Now, let's see. There isn't much to change about Blue Maiden other than a few things. For starters, she was able to defeat Haru in a duel through a combination of her Skill and her monsters." A few words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section.

"Aoi also has a new ace monster in Marincess Wonder Heart, a Link 4 monster with 2400 attack points that's Link Summoned by using two or more Water monsters, one of which must be Marincess Crystal Heart." Yuhiro continued, as he skimmed through the footage to rewatch the part of the duel where Blue Maiden brought out Wonder Heart against Bohman. "After battling an opponent's monster, Blue Maiden can target a 'Marincess' Link monster equipped to her and Special Summon it to the field, as well as reduce any battle damage she would take to zero. At the End Phase, Blue Maiden can target that same monster and reequip it back to Wonder Heart. What's more, when Wonder Heart battles, it's unaffected by the opponent's card effects, except its own. In addition, while Wonder Heart's on the field, it can only be targeted for attacks. After leaving the field, Blue Maiden can then Special Summon Crystal Heart back to her field. Being the last monster Aqua made, it's only fitting for Crystal Heart to take true form. Combined with Crystal Heart and Battle Ocean, Wonder Heart becomes a force to be reckoned with." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Aoi's profile.

Something clicked into Yuhiro's mind as he replayed the last part of the duel, where Bohman made Aoi send monster after monster until it led to her end thanks to Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch's effect. Upon seeing Aoi summon back Crystal Heart, Yuhiro gasped, having realized the mistake Aoi made. "I just realized something." He then let out a laugh. "You didn't necessarily have to bring back Crystal Heart, Aoi. You still could have brought out Crown Tail and sent her to the GY as per Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch's effect, preventing him from attacking again because Blue Maiden had no monsters on her field. Even if Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch can attack, Aoi could have banished Crown Tail so she can reduce the damage by 12000, thus allowing her to continue the duel. Or, if Aoi chose to Special Summon Crystal Heart, along with Special Summoning Crown Tail in defense position, she could have sent Crystal Heart to her Graveyard instead, and Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch would not deal any battle damage to her due to him destroying a monster in defense position. Hahaha." Red, glowing cracks began to appear on Yuhiro as he let out another small chuckle.

"It's funny. Despite having grown stronger, and she will grow stronger with what's to come, it came at the cost of Aqua dying." A few tears fell from Yuhiro's eyes as more red, glowing cracks appeared on his body. Gritting his teeth in anger, he quickly grabbed the healing stim nearby and injected it into his body, which kept the pain at bay. "Now Miyu will never get the chance to meet Aqua. Thanks to Lightning and Azrael, the opportunity for Miyu and Aqua to form a bond between one another has been robbed forever." Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS' history' section of Aoi's profile. A few words also appeared in the 'Notes' section of the profile.

"Nevertheless, Aoi deserves her duel grade of an S+, or Savage with a plus." Yuhiro stated. "Not only has Aoi been able to demonstrate the strength of her deck after training with it, as demonstrated through her duels against Bohman and Haru, she's also able to think outside of the box in response to different scenarios. Like I said before, Aoi will learn and grow stronger, especially with what's to come later on." After those words appeared in the 'Duel grade' section of Aoi's profile, Yuhiro made some final edits before finishing it up, which eventually looked like this:

Name: Aoi Zaizen.

LINK VRAINS ID: Blue Maiden (changed from Blue Girl. Aoi's finally grown up).

Other aliases: Aqua's Sub Partner (with Miyu once again out of commission, it's only natural for Aqua to go to the person she knew best), Majestic Mermaid with Wings (okay, that one's all me).

Gender: Female

Skill: Shape of Sea (once per duel, when Blue Maiden takes damage, she can Special Summon one 'Marincess' monster from the graveyard whose attack points are less than or equal to the damage she took).

Age: 16

Job: Charisma Duelist (formerly. In protest against SOL Technologies, Aoi's renounced her Charisma duelist status. At least for now), Freedom fighter (after teaming up with Aqua, Aoi immediately joined forces with Playmaker and the others once again. There's now a total of four good Ignis, three bad Ignis, and a deceased one so far).

Residence: Penthouse Apartment in Den City with Akira Zaizen (formerly for now), Emma's Apartment (for the time being).

Deck: Trickstar (formerly. Aoi's put it aside for the time being), Marincess (a Water Cyberse deck that focuses on facilitating Link Summons, along with adding cards from the Graveyard back to the hand to either reaccumulate resources or continue Link Summoning. While the deck does deal effect damage, it's in a less consistent manner, with it being in great amounts all from one card. There's also Trap cards that Blue Maiden can activate from her hand as long as she controls a Link 3 or higher 'Marincess' monster. To put it simply, the 'Marincess' deck contains the firepower the Trickstar deck needed).

Ace Monster: Marincess Marbled Rock (a Link 3 monster with 2500 attack points. Once per turn, Blue Maiden can target one 'Marincess' card in her Graveyard and add it to her hand. And by discarding a 'Marincess' monster from her hand to her Graveyard, Blue Maiden can protect either Marbled Rock or her other monsters from battle destruction. Regardless, she can't take any battle damage as well. All in all, a strong and defensive monster), Marincess Wonder Heart (a Link 4 monster with 2400 attack points, and requires Crystal Heart for the Link Summon. After battling an opponent's monster, Blue Maiden can target a 'Marincess' Link monster equipped to her and Special Summon it to the field, as well as reduce any battle damage she would take to zero. Combined with Crystal Heart and Battle Ocean, Wonder Heart becomes a force to be reckoned with).

LINK VRAINS History: Aoi changed her avatar to Blue Maiden after teaming up with Aqua. She's been a great support in the recent attacks in the network and in the real world with the ability to determine truths and lies.

You could say Blue Maiden may have gotten that from Miyu and I.

She also defeated Haru in a Speed Duel before losing to Bohman later on, thus conveying the importance of bonds to him in the process. While she's definitely growing stronger, it came at a cost in Aqua's death.

Duel Grade right now: S+ (Savage with a +) (Aoi's been able to demonstrate the strength of her deck after training with it, as demonstrated through her duels against Bohman and Haru. She's able to set up strategies quite quickly and respond to different scenarios in a duel. As shown through her duels, Aoi will learn and grow stronger, especially with what's to come later on).

Notes: Each time Aoi changed her avatar, she symbolized her growth as both an individual and as a duelist. Now, Aoi's all grown up upon changing her avatar to Blue Maiden, her eyes having been fully open to the situation at hand.

With Aqua dead, Miyu will never be able to meet her Ignis. The question remains: Will Aoi continue using the Marincess deck, or give it to Miyu and return to using her old deck? Either way, one of those girls are going to use the Trickstar deck, as that is not going to linger in the dust anytime soon.

With Aoi's profile having been updated, Yuhiro closed it up before reluctantly opening up Yukage's profile. He really didn't want to update his brother's profile, but it was unfortunately necessary. Just thinking about everything Yukage had done made Yuhiro grit his teeth in agony, as pain rushed through his body. It was as though he was glitching for a few moments there. "Yukage Furtuani. My brother by blood, adoption, and foster care. One who's caused pain to so many people. He was also responsible for the fallout between Roxy and Emma a while back." Those words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile.

"Being a monstrous version of a tactical mastermind and warrior, Yukage had no qualms in doing what he must for his intentions of reaching the Root of All Knowledge to achieve eternity. He was even able to use Lightning and Bohman to his advantage, to the point where he was able to maintain control of the situation... almost, anyway." Those words also appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile. "And during the war in Mirror LINK VRAINS, Yukage revealed a dark truth. That Watchman was the true orchestrator of the Lost Incident by kidnapping him and I when we were kids. Watchman most likely orchestrated the other kids being kidnapped as well for the Lost Incident. Apparently, Watchman and Azrael were members of the Inquisitorius, a group of individuals striving to eradicate sin at all costs." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile.

"On the topic of Inquisitorius, when Yukage dueled against Infearno, he revealed how he was sent to kill him years prior, only to kill Beatrice instead. He was forced to flee, lest he be exposed." Yuhiro recalled, as more information popped up in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile.

"But Yukage…. Yukage wasn't always so ruthless. He always looked out for my wellbeing. The Lost Incident made him into a monster." Yuhiro narrowed his eyes in anger. "And it's due to the Lost Incident that he died a second time, where Wraith resuscitated him back to life. Afterwards, Yukage escaped into the darkness, where he was eventually taken in by the Inquisitorius before training under their tutelage. Unfortunately, the Inquisitors were sent to assassinate him due to his failure to assassinate Infearno. In response, Yukage used his Link Trigger to kill them all, but not before one of the Inquisitors called him Azrael. I suppose that's how he got his avatar name." Those words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Yukage's profile.

"After that, Wraith found Yukage, and took him to an area in the network, where Teravolt Dragon was residing. Following the fight between human and duel monster, Teravolt Dragon yielded to Yukage, pledging his allegiance to him." Yuhiro added. "From there, Yukage went to the Cave of Darkness, where he bested Gilgamesh in combat before cutting his arm off with the Muramasa. After that, Yukage hid in the shadows and began planning for ten years to achieve eternity at all costs." All of those words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Yukage's profile.

Yuhiro put a hand on his chin as he recalled his duel against Yukage in Mirror LINK VRAINS. "In our duel, Yukage told me three things. One: The Furutani family had been seeking the Root for generations now. I will have to look into that part further later on. Two: How Azrael and Wraith were truly the individuals who motivated Revolver to alert the authorities and ultimately end the Lost Incident. Those two, in the end, freed us from our suffering. Three: Yukage explained to me his origins, where he met Wraith, and how he got the Muramasa and Teravolt Dragon to his side. Every bit of one's story plays a role in how that person became who they are today, so it explains what led Yukage to seek the Root in the first place." Those words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile.

"After our duel, we were teleported to a different area of the network, which had the Root of All Knowledge in it. Before staying in that area of the network, Yukage gave me a cryptic message to hold onto. Something about seven seconds until the end. He also told me to keep avenging until everyone who hurt me has paid their debt. While I understand the second part of the message, I don't know about the first part of it." More words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yukage's profile.

"Moving that aside, Yukage has a new ace monster in Teravolt Devastation Dragon." Yuhiro remembered. "A Link 5 monster with 4000 attack points, which was made with Wraith sacrificing himself to save Yukage. To start, it's treated as a 'Cychaic' card, and its name is also 'Teravolt Dragon', thus reaping in numerous benefits as a result. If he's Link Summoned by using 'Teravolt Dragon' as Link material, Yukage can negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards on the opponent's field before destroying them, and for each one destroyed by this effect, Teravolt Devastation Dragon gains 500 attack points. It's also unaffected by the effects of the opponent's monster effects. When Teravolt Devastation Dragon battles, the opponent cannot monster effects until the end of the damage step, and the monster that Teravolt Devastation Dragon battles with has its attack points dropped to their original amount. In addition, should Teravolt Devastation Dragon leave the field, Yukage can Special Summon a copy of Teravolt Dragon from his field once per duel. And since Teravolt Devastation Dragon's name is also 'Teravolt Dragon', Yukage can bring it right back to his field. The best part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of his effects." Words then appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Yukage's profile.

Yuhiro felt his body glitch once again as more red, glowing cracks appeared on it. He grabbed another healing stim nearby and injected it into his body, which calmed it down as Yuhiro grit his teeth in pain. "For Yukage's duel grade, it's going up to SS+, or Sick Skills with a plus. Along with his ruthless dueling skills and how he made the Hanoi suffer in so many ways, everything he did was to obtain the Root of All Knowledge and achieve eternity for himself alone. Long story short, Azrael was one of the strongest of, if not, the strongest enemy we've fought so far." Once Yuhiro made those final updates to the profile, it looked like this:

Name: Yukage Furutani (Yuhiro's blood, adopted, and foster brother. Very weird and horrific combination).

LINK VRAINS ID: Azrael (it's the name for the Angel of Death, and judging by all the killings he's done whether it's directly or indirectly, he more than deserves that name).

Other aliases: Azure Asshole (considering what Azrael's done to us, he deserves this alias).

Gender: Male

Skill: Unknown (he's only dueled in Master Duels).

Age: 17

Job: Tactical Mastermind and Warrior (this is evident in how he's manipulated events, ranging from the Turf War, to hurting Miyu to draw out Raguel, to having Malf murder people in the name of getting stronger, to cause events to lead to Miles' mother dying, and more).

Residence: Unknown (we're not sure if he's truly dead)

Deck: Cychaic (a Cyberse archetype that focuses on timely destruction to benefit only him. His link monsters control those at their markers and by extension even the opponent by limiting their options. Azrael's also incorporated Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning into his deck, thus making it stronger and trickier than ever to respond to. Whereas Lightning prepares himself for anything and everything, Azrael basically controls the enemies' movements to the point where he's in control of the duel like a puppet master).

Ace Monster: Teravolt Dragon (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. The special dragon created by Wraith, the Ignis of Space. Upon Link Summon, Azrael can negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards the opponent controls. If a monster effect is activated, Azrael can discard a card from his hand to his Graveyard to negate and destroy it. Last but not least, if Teravolt Dragon destroys a monster by battle and sends it to the Graveyard, Azrael can target a monster on the opponent's field before negating its effects and preventing it from attacking until the end of the opponent's next turn), Teravolt Devastation Dragon (a Link 5 monster with 4000 attack points, which was made with Wraith sacrificing himself to save Azrael. To start, it's treated as a 'Cychaic' card, and its name is also 'Teravolt Dragon', thus reaping in numerous benefits as a result. If he's Link Summoned by using 'Teravolt Dragon' as Link material, Azrael can negate the effects of all Spell and Trap cards on the opponent's field before destroying them, and for each one destroyed by this effect, Teravolt Devastation Dragon gains 500 attack points. It's also unaffected by the effects of the opponent's monsters. When Teravolt Devastation Dragon battles, the opponent cannot monster effects until the end of the damage step, and the monster that Teravolt Devastation Dragon battles with has its attack points dropped to their original amount. In addition, should Teravolt Devastation Dragon leave the field, Azrael can Special Summon a copy of Teravolt Dragon from his field once per duel. And since Teravolt Devastation Dragon's name is also 'Teravolt Dragon', Azrael can bring it right back to his field. The best part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of his effects).

LINK VRAINS History: Azrael was Monty's client from the very beginning when Ai first appeared on the scene, meaning he and Wraith were keeping an eye on things.

He promised an immense reward for Ai at the beginning, which is why we initially pursued the task. Azrael was also responsible for the fallout between Roxy and Emma during the Landios incident. Nonetheless, we ended up not doing it in the end, which led to Monty's death and the creation of Malf.

During the Tower of Hanoi events, Azrael intervened and used the Muramasa to slice the cages Numera and Akira were trapped in. In addition, he used everyone else as decoys for the Hanoi while he infiltrated the tower and stole all their resources. In the event we failed, he would no doubt sabotage the tower from the inside. Very strategic, as he is deprivable as he has no regard for human life at all, using anyone and anything to achieve his goals (there were exceptions for Malf, Wraith, and Teravolt Dragon, who he saw as true comrades).

After the Tower of Hanoi, Azrael freed Athaliah and Ace and forced them to join him along with Speckles, or else they'd get killed by Malf, whom he created as a living embodiment of the Another virus. Anything the Hanoi can make he can do much better.

Azrael then infected Miyu with Lightning's virus, even though he detested such an action. Doesn't excuse him from what he did, as he did it anyway.

Azrael's actions are also what led to the Turf War occurring by placing Ace as a puppet ruler following the previous Overseer's death. All just to buy time for Bohman's recovery, and was willing to allow people to die just so the task was complete.

He also led an attack on the central station in LINK VRAINS, with Malf, Ace, Windy, and two hundred Bitboots at his beck and command while we were caught in Lightning's trap, where we saw him defeat Blood Shepherd while the carnage occurred outside. Azrael also kept us busy in the real world by having Ace's forces cause chaos, with Windy joining in on the fun as well. Azrael defeated Stregone, a duelist who can use all six summoning methods, and also defeated Lord Kazuma according to Infearno. All so he can access the dark vault and acquire the information on Project: VIII.

Raguel went after Azrael and challenged him to a duel, only for it to end in a draw. And then Azrael not only got away with the data, but deleted any remaining data from the dark vault using an EMP grenade.

All in all, Azrael's practically a monster, who has no qualms in doing what he must for whatever personal nefarious goal he has in mind. He was even able to use Lightning and Bohman to his advantage, to the point where he was able to maintain control of the situation... almost, anyway. However, Azrael does have some honor, with an example being after his duel against Stregone. He spared Miles out of respect for his bravery, as well as gratitude to Stregone for taking care of Yuhiro all those years.

During the events in Mirror LINK VRAINS, Azrael revealed that Watchman was the true orchestrator of the Lost Incident by kidnapping him and Yuhiro when they were kids. Watchman most likely orchestrated the other kids being kidnapped as well for the Lost Incident. Apparently, Watchman and Azrael were members of the Inquisitorius, a group of individuals striving to eradicate sin at all costs.

Speaking of the Inquisitorius, Azrael revealed to Infearno how he was sent to kill him years prior, only to kill Beatrice instead. He was forced to flee, lest he be exposed.

In the final duel against Raguel, Azrael revealed numerous things. First being that the Furutani family had been seeking the Root for generations now. Second being how Azrael and Wraith were truly the individuals who motivated Revolver to alert the authorities and ultimately end the Lost Incident. Third being Azrael's origins, where he met Wraith, and how he got the Muramasa and Teravolt Dragon to his side.

Following the duel, Raguel and Azrael were teleported to a different area of the network, which had the Root of All Knowledge in an area. Before staying in that area of the network, Azrael gave Raguel a cryptic message to hold onto. Something about seven seconds until the end.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (All of Azrael's actions, from his dueling skills to how he's affected lots of people, makes him just as bad, if not worse than Lightning. Not only did he incapacitate Dancho, Lord Kazuma, and Infearno, he was also responsible for the deaths from the Turf War and the attacks in the real world and in the network, put Miyu in the hospital, practically tore Yuhiro apart from the inside and outside, caused the death of Miles' mother, and even defeated Stregone in a duel. Everything he did was to obtain the Root of All Knowledge to achieve eternity for himself alone. Long story short, Azrael was one of the strongest of, if not, the strongest enemy we've fought so far).

Notes: Azrael has a katana called the Muramasa, which is his inheritance. It can cut through anything and everything, as well as inflict damage in the real world, as evident by the scar on Yuhiro's chest.

Apparently, Yukage took the name of Azrael when the Inquisitors were sent to kill him. That was when he unleashed his Link Trigger and slaughtered them all.

Wraith took Yukage to an area in the network, where Teravolt Dragon was residing. After a fight between human and duel monster, Teravolt Dragon yielded to Yukage, pledging his allegiance to him.

From there, Yukage went to the Cave of Darkness, where he bested Gilgamesh in combat before cutting his arm off with the Muramasa. After that, Yukage hid in the shadows and began planning for ten years to achieve eternity at all costs.

Like Bohman, he was able to manifest his abilities in the real world, especially how the Muramasa allowed Azrael to log into the network whole. Just like how Excalibur allowed Raguel to log into the network whole.

Having finished Yukage's profile, Yuhiro closed it up before pulling up Revolver's profile. He then skimmed through the footage to find Revolver's Speed Duel against a Bitboot, knowing that if he found Specter's Skill, then perhaps he can find Revolver's new Skill now that Storm Access was destroyed. "Let's see here. Revolver's new Skill is called Rokket Burst, which replaces Storm Access after Malf blew himself up and permanently crippled it. When a 'Borrel' monster is Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, Revolver can Special Summon a 'Rokket' monster from his hand, deck, GY, or banished zone to his field. He can then activate a series of effects in sequence based on the types of 'Borrel' monsters on his field and in his Graveyard. Only the Link one has been revealed, where the effects of all cards on the opponent's field are negated. Further analysis is needed to determine just how powerful this Skill truly is." Words appeared in the 'Skill' section of Revolver's profile.

"Revolver also incorporated Xyz Summoning into his deck, which still focuses on punching their way through the enemy's defenses before reloading. It's not just Borreload Dragon's effect that can't be responded to. It's all the other 'Borrel' Link monsters effects that can't be responded to." Those words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Revolver's profile.

"Speaking of Xyz Summoning, one of Revolver's new ace monsters is Borreload eXcharge Dragon, a Rank 4 monster with 3000 attack points." Yuhiro remembered. "By detaching an Overlay unit, Revolver can target one monster on the opponent's field and decrease its attack points by 600 before Special Summoning a 'Borrel' monster from the Graveyard. However, Revolver can't attack directly the turn this effect is used, and the monster Special Summoned by this effect is banished during the End Phase." Yuhiro added, as words were put in the 'Ace monster' section of Revolver's profile.

"We've worked with Revolver and the Hanoi to fight against Lightning and Azrael in Mirror LINK VRAINS. During Revolver's duel against Lightning, he was about to win, only for the latter to use Jin as a human shield to avoid defeat." Yuhiro frowned. "The old Revolver would have sacrificed Jin to win, but here… Revolver chose not to attack. It seems that he's changed since we fought him months ago." Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Revolver's profile.

"The sad thing is that Revolver doesn't know the truth. That he was manipulated by Yukage and Wraith into ending the Lost Incident. He deserves to know, but.." Yuhiro stopped speaking before fully gathering his thoughts. "I don't think he should know, especially as he'll most likely be an enemy again later on. I'll have to talk with Roxy and the others about this later. But moving past that, Revolver's duel grade will ultimately be SS+, or Sick Skills with a plus. He's mastered both Synchro and Xyz Summoning, and it's most likely he'll master the other summoning methods as well. Something we need to be wary about." Words appeared in the 'Duel Grade' section of Revolver's profile, and after Yuhiro made final edits to it, the profile looked like this:

Name: Ryoken Kogami

VRAINS ID: Revolver

Other aliases: Hanoi's Head Honcho

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Residence: On the run with the other Hanoi (probably a mobile headquarters at the moment)

Job: Leader of the Knights of Hanoi, Hacker, Cyberse Killer, Cyberse Terrorist (still at it, even months after Playmaker defeated him).

Skill: Rokket Burst (Revolver's new Skill after losing Storm Access at Malf's hands. Only the Link one has been revealed, where the effects of all cards on the opponent's field are negated).

Deck: Borrel/Rokket/Topologic (with a splash of Dark Dragon monsters) (just like before, the 'Rokket' archetype focuses on literally punching a hole in the enemy's defenses through explosions, and they reload right after. Very few weaknesses since Borreload Dragon's, along with the rest of the 'Borrel' Link monster's effects can't be responded to. His deck also has a variety of Dark dragon monsters to aid him in Link Summoning, and they share a network theme too).

He incorporated Synchro Summoning during his duel against Windy, and also used Xyz Summoning against Lightning. It's very likely that he mastered the other summoning methods as well. To be updated after acquiring more information.

Ace monster: Borreload Dragon (a 3000 attack point Link 4 Dragon monster Revolver used during his Master Duel against Yusaku. Not only can it not be targeted by monster effects, it can decrease any monsters attack and defense points by 500, which can't be responded to. It can even steal an opponent's monster for its master), Borreload Savage Dragon (a Level 8 Dragon Synchro monster with 3000 attack points. Upon being summoned, Revolver can equip Borreload Savage Dragon with one Link monster in his Graveyard, and increase its attack points equal to half of the equipped monster's attack points. In addition, Revolver can place 'Borrel' counters on Borreload Savage Dragon equal to that monster's Link rating, and if the opponent activates a card effect, Revolver can remove a 'Borrel' counter to simply negate it. Along with Revolver's other monsters, it's dangerous to contend with), Borreload eXcharge Dragon (a Rank 4 monster with 3000 attack points. By detaching an Overlay Unit, Revolver can target one monster on the opponent's field and decrease its attack points by 600 before Special Summoning a 'Borrel' monster from the Graveyard. However, Revolver can't attack directly the turn this effect is used, and the monster Special Summoned by this effect is banished during the End Phase. Again, another one of Revolver's dangerous monsters).

LINK VRAINS' history: According to Yusaku, Revolver was 8 years old during the time of the Lost Incident. Unable to bear the screams he heard from the children day by day, he reported the Incident to the authorities, but not before he gave Yuhiro and Yusaku the 3 things ideology. Ironic that the one who saved the children turned into one of their biggest enemies. Fate sure has a funny way of doing things. Had he been brought up in a better family, he could have turned into a strong ally. (His actions got his father arrested and infected with a virus, not sure to say if he's happy of him getting justice this way).

He attacked Cyberse World 5 years ago, and would have succeeded had it not been for Ai disconnecting the world from the net and Watchman's warning. During Revolver and Playmaker's second Speed Duel, we learned that Ai had been lying about having lost his memories (can you honestly blame the poor guy after running for five years?). The fact of AIs lying worries him which can be understandable if you see it from his perspective.

He believes that the digital world is fiction, and that real life is what matters. On some extent, he's right, but he doesn't have the right to decide that for others.

Revolver and the Hanoi made their return upon breaking Baira out, and we've also seen them in the fake Cyberse World, where Revolver proceeded to defeat Windy in their duel. Something tells me we'll be seeing more of Revolver later on, as he appeared at Café Nagi to give Yusaku a data card, just like the one Emon gave to Yuhiro.

We worked alongside with Revolver and the Hanoi to defeat Lightning and Azrael. It seems that he has changed to an extent, as during his duel against Lightning, he refused to attack Jin.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (Revolver's deck has evolved once more as evident from his duels so far. At the rate Revolver's going, he'll master the other summoning methods soon, and it's very likely he'll acquire Pendulum Summoning as well. That, along with the willingness needed to do what must be done makes him someone we must be careful of).

Notes: Revolver's Rokket deck focuses on literally punching a hole in the enemy's defenses through explosions, and they reload right after. Very few weaknesses since Borreload Dragon's, along with the effects of Revolver's other 'Borrel' Link monsters. His deck also has a variety of Dark dragon monsters to aid him in Link Summoning, and they share a network theme too.

Based on Playmaker's Speed Duel against Revolver, he uses his Dark Dragon monsters instead of his Rokkets likely because their effects aren't as effective (according to Yusaku, Revolver mentioned that a Master Duel lets both players unleash their full power.)

It turns out the reason he was able to wield 'Topologic' monsters so efficiently was because of Dr. Kogami's data material control program, combined with the personality of a ruthless apex-predator. After his father sacrificed himself, Revolver was able to obtain Topologic Gumblar Dragon (is he amassing an army of them at this point?) and use it to end the duel in a draw. Even after everything he's done, he still has honor, and the ironic thing is that Dr. Kogami truly cares for his own son.

According to Emon, Ryoken and the other Hanoi have gone through some struggles after Azrael stole their resources. Not just that, Azrael managed to incapacitate both Dancho and Lord Kazuma. Makes Azrael just as bad, if not worse than the Hanoi themselves. At least Ryoken has some honor.

He's upped his game with both Synchro and Xyz Summoning, so it'll only be a matter of time for him to master the other summoning methods, especially when they synergize with his link monsters.

Despite learning the truth about how Dr. Kogami was put in a coma in the first place, Revolver's still hellbent in eradicating all of the Ignis. Not just them, but every threat that can occur in the network as well.

Having made the edits to Revolver's profile, Yuhiro closed it up before opening his up. As much as he hated to admit it, something very wrong was going on, and it's most likely that he had a role in this. Yuhiro didn't want his loved ones getting hurt, which was why he had to take the opportunity to update his profile as soon as possible. This way, should he truly become brainwashed by whoever's ultimately responsible for what's going on, the others will be able to defend themselves... and bring him back to the light if all went well. "Well… um, a lot's been going on with me. Nightmares, the red and glowing cracks on the body, the shakiness I've been feeling as of late, and other things of course, I'm not the person I used to be. I doubt I can call myself a warrior of justice anymore." A few words appeared in the 'Other aliases' section.

"My deck's main function is still the same. How my monsters bring others out and lets me search out for cards to aid my strategies. How my Spell cards are about either accumulating resources, gaining an advantage, or keeping the monsters alive for another turn. And lastly, how my Trap cards are meant to aggravate my opponent." Yuhiro frowned. "However, I've recently created some new cards. Ones that are meant to not only push my opponent towards despair before being defeated, but to also hinder their moves in the process as well. For these cards, if I control a Link 3 or higher 'Cyreath' Link monster, the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to each of their activations. Not just that, it also lets me stay one step ahead of my enemies. I'm not proud to admit this, but I feel that the ruthless edge was the thing my deck needed this whole time. You might be thinking: How am I, a human, able to create cards that support a Cyberse archetype? Isn't an Ignis only allowed to do that by using their algorithm? Well, everyone, it seems I managed to do that somehow, especially when you're so connected with your Ignis. Who knows? Maybe it could be my Link Trigger enhancing me with the knowledge needed to do so. Or perhaps I'm taking inspiration from somewhere else in creating the cards." Words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Yuhiro's profile.

"In Mirror LINK VRAINS, Yukage forced me to duel against Roxy, my own mother to see if I haven't lost my resolve." Yuhiro recalled, as tears began to fall from his eyes. "Unfortunately, I let my emotions and the need to win at all costs control me, and I hurt my own mother to achieve victory. Who knows what I'll do next, especially how I may break soon?" The words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yuhiro's profile.

"In terms of ace monsters, while I have a lot of them, I will highlight the one that's the most important. Turboblaze Desolation Dragon, the monster one born from Herald's sacrifice." Yuhiro took a deep breath before composing himself. "A Link 5 monster with 4000 attack points, it's treated as a 'Cyreath' card, and its name is also 'Turboblaze Dragon', thus reaping in numerous benefits as a result. If he's Link Summoned by using 'Turboblaze Dragon' as Link material, I can negate the effects of all monsters on the opponent's field before destroying them, and for each one destroyed by this effect, Turboblaze Desolation Dragon gains 500 attack points. It's also unaffected by the opponent's Spell and Trap cards. When Turboblaze Desolation Dragon battles, the opponent cannot activate Spell and Trap cards and effects until the end of the damage step, and they also take damage equal to the attack or defense points of that monster at the end of battle, whatever's higher. What's more, Turboblaze Desolation Dragon can use this effect even when he's in the Graveyard. On the topic of the Graveyard, should Turboblaze Desolation Dragon leave the field, Raguel can Special Summon a copy of Turboblaze Dragon from his field once per duel. And since Turboblaze Desolation Dragon's name is also 'Turboblaze Dragon', I can bring it right back to his field. The best part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of each of his effects. With the pain that's happened, unless Turboblaze chooses to fight, I don't think he should continue fighting after losing someone who was once his brother." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Yuhiro's profile.

"As for my duel grade, I'd say it goes up to SS+, or Sick Skills with a plus given recent events." Yuhiro said. "I've finally defeated Azrael after all of my training. Even though I lost four duels so far, I can still grow stronger. After all, there's always room for growth." Words appeared in the 'Duel grade' section of Yuhiro's profile.

Yuhiro felt himself glitch again as the red, glowing cracks once again appeared on his body. "Again, I'm not the person I once was. If anything, the Ignis war has impacted me for the worse. That's why I'm putting in an urgent note in my profile. One that I hope the others will read before studying the updates in my profile. This way, they can prepare themselves to fight against me, and if all goes well, bring me back to my normal self." After Yuhiro typed in the urgent note and made final edits, this was what the profile looked like:

Name: Yuhiro Furutani

LINK VRAINS ID: Agent (formerly), Raguel (Current. The name refers to the archangel Raguel, who stands for justice and redemption. However, it doesn't relate with his deck, as it focuses on Greek mythology. He chose it to adhere to his promise of staying a good man. Noble and honorable, that's for sure).

Other aliases: King of LINK VRAINS' underworld (formerly, as he left the Black Market following the Tower of Hanoi events), Robin Hood of the Network (I find that debatable, as he doesn't have a bow or arrow. However, he does help those who need it, so that's a point in his favor), Warrior of Justice (formerly, given current events).

Gender: Male

Skill: Call of Olympus (formerly. Lets Raguel Special Summon one random 'Cyreath' monster straight from his deck. Also, if he controls a 'Cyreath' Link Monster, he can add one Spell or Trap card from his deck to his hand. Or in other words, an instant summon and resource obtainment in one Skill), Godly Grandeur (once per duel, Raguel can shuffle one 'Cyreath' Link monster from his Graveyard back to his Extra Deck to draw a card and activate one of three effects. If it's a monster, then Raguel can decrease the attack points of a monster the opponent controls equal to the monster drawn by this Skill. If it's a Spell, all 'Cyreath' monsters Raguel summons and on his field are unaffected by the opponent's card effects. Lastly, if it's a Trap, Raguel can activate it from his hand, and the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to its activation).

Age: 16 years old

Job: Counter Server and Cook at Café Matsuo (Yuhiro is a really good cook! Trust me on this).

Residence: Café Matsuo

Deck: Cyreath (the deck primarily focuses on Link Summoning. It has monsters that have a range of effects, such as bringing allies out and searching out resources to Link Summon Cyreath monsters. The Spells are about either accumulating resources, gaining an advantage, or keeping the monsters alive for another turn. Finally, the Traps have interesting effects that can either irritate the opponent or save his butt if he really need it. He's also incorporated Pendulum Summoning to swarm his field with Cyreath monsters and Link Summon at faster rates. Stregone provided inspiration for that. Raguel's incorporated Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz summoning into his deck to reinforce its strategies and catch the opponent off guard as well. In addition, Raguel has a card called Alpha Mode Activate to 'evolve' his Link monsters and make them stronger. So far, Hercules has his Alpha Mode card, and I wonder which one will be next. Recently, Yuhiro made new cards to support his deck. Such a thing should be impossible, as only an Ignis can make new Cyberse cards for a Cyberse archetype. However, it seems that Yuhiro managed to somehow do this. For these cards, if Yuhiro controls a Link 3 or higher 'Cyreath' Link monster after activating them, the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to each of their activations. Lastly, the Cyreath deck is based off of characters and creatures from Greek Mythology, which makes sense given the theme).

Ace Monster: Cyreath Hercules (a Link 3 monster with 2500 attack points. While the Link Arrows appear suspicious, it works for Yuhiro, as monsters Hercules points to lose 500 attack points. Also, if Hercules destroys a monster whose attack points are different than its original, the opponent takes damage equal to half of the destroyed monster's original attack points. All in all, not a bad effect), Cyreath Hercules/Alpha Mode (an Alpha Mode version of Hercules. When he's Special Summoned by Alpha Mode Activate, Raguel can target three 'Cyreath' Link monsters with different Link ratings in his Graveyard, and place God Hand counters equal to their combined Link rating. Not only does Hercules/Alpha Mode prevent the opponent from targeting Raguel's monsters for attacks or effects except him, if Hercules/Alpha Mode would leave the field, Raguel can remove a God Hand counter instead, as well as increase his attack points by 500. A stronger Hercules at that), Turboblaze Dragon (a Link 4 monster with 3000 attack points. Upon being Link Summoned, the effects of all monsters the opponent controls are negated. Also, once per turn, during either player's turn, when a Spell or Trap card is activated that targets a card on the field, Raguel can discard one card to negate the activation and destroy it. Lastly, when Turboblaze Dragon destroys a monster by battle, the opponent takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's attack points. In other words, a strong powerhouse I'm proud of creating), Cyreath Medusa (a Link 3 monster with 2300 attack points. While her summoning conditions are a bit restrictive, her effects make up for it. First, once per turn, during either player's turn, when the opponent activates a card effect, Raguel can instantly negate that effect and destroy the card. Second, by tributing a Link 2 or higher 'Cyreath' Link Monster, he can Special Summon this card from his Graveyard), Rasterliger (a Link 4 monster that requires two or more monsters, except tokens. While not a Cyreath card, Rasterliger is a strong monster, as Raguel can increase Rasterliger's attack points equal to the attack points of a Link monster in either player's Graveyard. And by tributing monsters Rasterliger points to, Raguel can target and destroy an equal number of cards on the opponent's field. Don't underestimate this dog in combat), Turboblaze Desolation Dragon (a Link 5 monster with 4000 attack points. This monster was made thanks to Herald sacrificing himself to save me. To start, it's treated as a 'Cyreath' card, and its name is also 'Turboblaze Dragon', thus reaping in numerous benefits as a result. If he's Link Summoned by using 'Turboblaze Dragon' as Link material, Raguel can negate the effects of all monsters on the opponent's field before destroying them, and for each one destroyed by this effect, Turboblaze Desolation Dragon gains 500 attack points. And since Turboblaze Desolation Dragon's name is also 'Turboblaze Dragon', Raguel can bring it right back to his field. The best part is that the opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to the activation of each of his effects).

LINK VRAINS History: Started working as a black-market agent three years ago. He told Roxy he wanted to do it because he not only wanted to repay her back, but also to help Miyu as well.

Until he met Herald and Watchman, Raguel was solely focused on obtaining Ai from Playmaker. However, different experiences eventually caused him to abandon the Black-Market job, and instead focus on assisting Watchman, especially with the Crisis, whenever that comes. Despite multiple setbacks during the Tower of Hanoi events, he managed to assist in shutting it down, and was rewarded not only with a respite, but having completed his goal in reuniting Miyu and Roxy together.

Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to last forever, as after Azrael put Miyu in the hospital, Yuhiro immediately sprang into action to try and get her back. However, he had to duel against Malf, who was a very tricky opponent to beat in the end. Since then, Yuhiro's no longer been himself as he continued fighting in the multiple conflicts following this series of events. These include the Turf War, the attacks in the network and in the real world, and the Ignis war.

Yuhiro also acquired his inheritance from his blood, adopted, and foster dad a while back in the form of Excalibur. The fact that it allows Yuhiro to supposedly log into the network whole is scary.

Yuhiro also had to duel against Roxy in a duel orchestrated by Azrael, his goal to break him. While Yuhiro broke, he still kept going after everything that's occurred. However, there's only so long Yuhiro can go before he breaks.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (While Yuhiro's lost a total of four times, he's still been able to accumulate wins as well by making adjustments to his deck and learning from his mistakes. Yuhiro also finally overcame Azrael in their third bout in Mirror LINK VRAINS, though it came at a great cost, as Herald sacrificed himself so Yuhiro can continue the duel).

Notes: After the Lost Incident, Yuhiro was sent to the Den City Shelter, where he lived there for five years until being adopted by Roxy. One day, when he went to visit Miyu at the Den City Hospital, he learned that he wasn't the only one who went through the Lost Incident. At that point, Yuhiro swore to ensure that Miyu would wake up one day, smile, and reunite with Roxy.

Therefore, Yuhiro searched up ways on how he could quickly earn money, and eventually found a Black-Market forum. Going into LINK VRAINS as Agent at the time, he accepted an initiation from the Omega Branch to get a man named Chainslaver in line, and as a result, was hired.

After some missions on the Black Market, Roxy found an event on her mobile game Fate/Grand Order, whereby completing the Olympus Lostbelt, the person could acquire the chance to obtain the Cyreath deck. Yuhiro ended up dueling the person that would be his ace monster: Cyreath Hercules.

After the Tower of Hanoi events, Yuhiro resigned from his work as a Black-Market agent, as per his promise to Herald and Roxy. However, once Azrael appeared on the scene, Yuhiro logged back into the network to try and get Miyu back. Unfortunately, he failed, and has not been himself ever since, despite showing that he's totally fine.

Speaking of Azrael, after Yuhiro dueled against him, the former motivated the latter to look into the Project: VIII files. There, Yuhiro found out that Azrael is Yukage Furutani, his brother by blood, adoption and foster care. Not just that, but Yuhiro's first set of parents abandoned him beforehand. Also, Yuhiro had to get treatment by doctors putting pieces of Yukage's body to do so. Yuhiro even had damage to his lungs and missing veins in his right arm and left leg as well. To make things worse, Yuhiro has a condition called Alkalosis, which is a condition where the body fluids have excess base alkali.

Ever since Yuhiro found out the truth about himself, he hasn't been himself. It was as though his optimism has been squashed to the point where any good traits remaining have been hardened. Even after being assured over and over again of the good attributes he has, as well as being accepted by the people in his life, Yuhiro's no longer the optimistic person he once was. If anything, the Ignis war's impacted Yuhiro for the worse, especially with the nightmares he's been having.

URGENT NOTE: Yuhiro's no longer himself. For the past few days, he's been having nightmares. Ones that have been injuring him both physically and mentally. Ex. Wounds appeared on his body during one of the nightmares, and he was trapped in one of them until Roxy and Miyu calmed him down. Along with the new cards Yuhiro made and recent events, he's losing himself with each and every day that passes.

As such, if Yuhiro should fall into his despair, then the people in his life must do everything they can to stop him before it's too late. Words that provoke Yuhiro are unlikely to work now that he's learned how they affect his dueling as a duelist. Since Yuhiro's deck primarily relies on Link Summoning at fast rates, cards that hinder those efforts to bring out powerful monsters, or at the very least negate the effects of his monsters, should help. However, duelists who duel against Yuhiro in the state of mind he's in must be prepared to adapt at all costs, for he will counter the enemy's strategies very quickly if they're not careful, especially how some of the new cards he's made prevent the opponent from activating cards or effects in response to their activations should he bring out powerful monsters.

After putting in the Urgent Note for his friends and allies to read if he snaps, Yuhiro closed his profile. He then put up a blank profile, knowing that Kusanagi's information should be put in now that he dueled against Yusaku. Yuhiro looked through the footage to see if any of it was on the duel between Yusaku and Kusanagi. The good news was that it was there, which meant Yuhiro can study just what happened while he was dueling against Roxy. "Okay, simple facts. Kusanagi's first name is Shoichi, and his aliases include Playmaker's partner in crime, his shield, Jin's brother and Katsuya's cousin. In addition, when he logged into the network, he went by Unnamed, just like how Yusaku went by Unknown before going by Playmaker." Words appeared in the 'Name', 'LINK VRAINS ID', and 'Other aliases' sections of Kusanagi's profile.

"Kusanagi told us once that he wanted to go into the sports industry. But after the Lost Incident, he decided to work in computing to become a hacker in order to uncover the truth and find out what happened to Jin, along with bringing the culprits to justice. He tried dueling, but…." Yuhiro chuckled. "He wasn't the best at it. So he ended up meeting Yusaku and teaming up with him in order to stop the Hanoi. This has occurred before Roxy and I met and worked with the duo." Those words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Kusanagi's profile.

"Again, Kusanagi wanted to do sports, but became a hacker after the Lost Incident in order to find out the truth." Yuhiro continued. "He tried stopping the Hanoi on his own after finding out who was responsible for the Lost Incident, but nearly lost to some Hanoi grunts before Yusaku came to save the day. Having ignored Yusaku's warnings, Kusanagi logged in again to try and stop them, only for Yusaku to save them once again." Words began to appear in the 'Notes' section of Kusanagi's profile.

"Having seen Yusaku, or Unknown at the time defeat a Hanoi grunt with ease, Kusanagi helped this mysterious fighter escape the Hanoi's clutches. From there, he met Yusaku in the real world, where the two of them worked side by side since." Additional words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Kusanagi's profile.

Yuhiro then watched the duel footage between Playmaker and Kusanagi. If there was one thing the systems at Café Matsuo had over Café Nagi, it was the ability to continue running even after the person at the time was unable to be there. What's more, unless the person had a designated set of fingerprints that were registered in the systems, then no one would be able to interfere with the functions there. And combined with the upgrades Watchman gave a while back, the system was near to impenetrable.

Yuhiro watched how Kusanagi was able to slowly push Playmaker into a corner that used a rather unusual strategy. Or at the very least, one that no one would expect. While it seemed that Kusanagi gave Playmaker monsters, those monsters ended up being a detriment to the latter in the end. In a way, it reminded Yuhiro of how he and the others hacked into different databases in order to find weaknesses and eventually overcome them. "Now this is interesting to see. Kusanagi uses the 'Codebreaker' archetype, a deck that focuses on anti-link strategies by summoning monsters behind enemy lines so they can weaken the opponent's field through stat reduction and card destruction before inflicting effect damage. The deck even gets stronger the more monsters that are behind enemy lines over time. It symbolizes Kusanagi's skills as a hacker overall." Words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Kusanagi's profile.

Yuhiro continued watching the footage, where he saw Kusanagi bring out his strongest monster, which would have nearly defeated Playmaker had it not for him playing a series of moves that ended up protecting him for the turn. "That's interesting as well. It seems that Kusanagi's ace monster is a Link 3 monster called Codebreaker Virus Berserker. Upon being Special Summoned, Kusanagi can Special Summon two Level 4 or lower 'Codebreaker' monsters from his hand and/or GY to Main Monster Zones a Link monster points to. Not only can it destroy Spell and Trap cards up to the number of 'Codebreaker' monsters on the opponent's field, it can also inflict 600 points of damage for each one as well. Along with an effect to bring itself back to the field, it's a deadly card for duelists that use Link monsters." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Kusanagi's profile.

"Given how Kusanagi only dueled one time, as well as his admission that his dueling skills aren't the best, I'm giving him a duel grade of B-, or Badass with a minus." Yuhiro reluctantly decided. "It's understandable, especially as his deck focuses against decks that have Link monsters. But when he does focus on Link-heavy decks, that's where his deck shines." Words appeared in the 'Duel grade' section of Kusanagi's profile afterwards, where Yuhiro made a few final edits on the profile before finishing it up, which looked like this:

Name: Shoichi Kusanagi

LINK VRAINS ID: Unnamed (that's literally what he goes by in the network, just like how Playmaker went by Unknown a long time ago).

Other aliases: Playmaker's partner in crime, His shield, Jin's brother and Katsuya's cousin

Gender: Male

Skill: Unknown (we've only seen Kusanagi duel once, and that was in a Master Duel against Playmaker)

Age: 24

Job: Café Nagi Manager, Fry Cook, Expert Hacker

Residence: An apartment in Den City when not working at Café Nagi

Deck: Codebreaker (an archetype that focuses primarily on anti-link strategies by summoning monsters behind enemy lines so they can weaken the opponent's field through stat reduction and card destruction before inflicting effect damage. The deck even gets stronger the more monsters that are behind enemy lines over time. It symbolizes Kusanagi's skills as a hacker overall).

Ace Monster: Codebreaker Virus Berserker (a Link 3 monster with 2800 attack points. Along with an effect to bring itself back to the field, it's a deadly card for duelists that use Link monsters).

LINK VRAINS History: Kusanagi originally wanted to do sports, but after the Lost Incident, decided to work in computing to become a hacker in order to uncover the truth and find out what happened to Jin, along with bringing the culprits to justice.

His dueling skills weren't the best, so he ended up working alongside Yusaku after meeting him, the two of them having a common goal in stopping the Hanoi. In a sense, they're like brothers.

Duel Grade right now: B- (Badass with a -) (Kusanagi admitted that his dueling skills weren't the best, and it's understandable since his deck's so focused on fighting against Link-based decks. But when he duels against his specialty he can be very tricky to handle).

Notes: Kusanagi originally wanted to go into the sports industry, but after the Lost Incident, he dove into hacking and computing in order to find the truth. Eventually, he learned about the Hanoi through extensive and determined research. Kusanagi across some Hanoi grunts that almost had him but was saved thanks to Yusaku, and despite his warnings, he went in again and was cornered, but luckily Yusaku bailed him out again. Seeing Unknown defeat a Hanoi grunt in a single turn, he needed to enlist his aid. As such, Kusanagi helped create an escape for him, where they eventually met for the first time in the real world. Also aided Yusaku in gaining the Cyberse deck.

He runs Café Nagi as a side job and front business to earn money, similar to the Black Markets in a way with front businesses and also with Cafe Matsuo.

He's been a faithful ally to Yusaku since then as well as to our group as a hacker and supporter in the backlines.

Kusanagi was unfortunately manipulated by Lightning, just as how Roxy was by Azrael. It shows how family is more important than friends even if it hurts.

With Kusanagi's profile done, Yuhiro closed it up before opening up Yusaku's profile. A lot had changed since Yuhiro and the others updated Yusaku's profile, as not only were there a lot of new monsters Yusaku obtained, a lot of other things had also happened as well. With this information in mind, Yuhiro decided to see if the footage had Yusaku's final duel against Bohman.

Much to Yuhiro's chagrin, the duel footage wasn't there. An idea then popped into Yuhiro's mind as he recalled two reporters who wanted a scoop on any big event in LINK VRAINS. Specifically, Frog and Pigeon. Going onto their website, Yuhiro saw that the duel was obviously on there, and it was the most popular video too. "Now this is interesting." He watched the video as he witnessed Bohman summon a total of two Link 5 monsters in the duel. As the duel reached its climax, Yuhiro saw Playmaker bring a Link 5 monster of his own, which helped him defeat Bohman once and for all. So this is how Yusaku defeated Bohman, Yuhiro thought in his mind.

"Yusaku logged into the network to try and save Jin after he was kidnapped by Bohman, which occurred three months ago." Yuhiro began speaking, as words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section. "Unfortunately, Yusaku ended up having to duel against multiple opponents over time to eventually defeat Bohman for good. This ranged from Blood Shepherd, to Luc of the Guzik Family, to an AI-enhanced Go Onizuka, and unfortunately to Kusanagi." Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' section of Yusaku's profile.

As those same words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Yusaku's profile, Yuhiro couldn't help but recall how Yusaku tried to recklessly end the duel against Go by bringing out three strong monsters instead of solidifying his strategies. How dare you do something as stupid and reckless as bringing out three monsters from the deck instead of preparing to defend yourself against Go's strategies, Yuhiro angrily thought in his mind. A part of you should have know better than to do such a thing. Had you actually solidified your strategies, you wouldn't have nearly lost!

"While Yusaku's deck revolves around Link Summoning, he's also included Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning into his deck. All these summoning methods had helped Yusaku through thick and thin, that I can confirm." Words appeared in the 'Deck' section of Yusaku's profile.

Yuhiro watched the duel footage as he saw Yusaku use Firewall Dragon Darkfluid's effect to negate Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon's effect each time, which led him to defeat Bohman for good. The massive increase in attack points, combined with monster effect negation and multiple attacks, made Darkfluid a very powerful monster. "Now this is interesting. Firewall Dragon Darkfluid is a Link 5 monster that requires three or more effect monsters to Link Summon it. Upon being Link Summoned, Playmaker can place counters equal to the number of Cyberse monsters in his Graveyard with a different type. Specifically, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz. When Darkfluid battles, it gains 2500 attack points for each counter until the end of the damage step. Also, if the opponent activates a monster effect during either player's turn, Playmaker can remove a counter to negate the effect. What's more, if this effect was activated during the Battle Phase, Darkfluid can make another attack. The fact that Playmaker can use this effect more than once per turn is very deadly, allowing him to push for victory." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Yusaku's profile.

"Hang on a minute..." Yuhiro muttered, as he scrolled back a few minutes earlier on the footage before zooming in, which saw Yusaku holding what looked like a rainbow-colored data orb. "It seems that Ai was able to create this monster by acquiring the powers of the other Ignis. Not just the Ignis absorbed in Bohman, but from Herald and Wraith as well. If that's s the case.." He laughed. "Then that means, as evident by Wraith's statement in how Ai has a piece of his code in his body, he most likely has Herald's code as well. Overall, Ai has the remnants of the other seven Ignis, which means he'll most likely become a target for those intending on fulfilling Project: VIII." Words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Yusaku's profile.

"From this information, Yusaku's duel grade will remain the same at SSS, or Smokin' Sexy Style. Given how Yusaku never lost a duel before, it only makes sense for him to achieve this grade. And with his strength having increased, it'll certainly help in the battles to come." After Yuhiro made final edits to Yusaku's profile, it looked like this:

Name: Yusaku Fujiki

VRAINS ID: Playmaker

Other Aliases: LINK VRAINS' Hero (by the public. Yusaku said that he's no hero.) The Dark Horse of the Hanoi (the Hanoi doesn't know too much about Yusaku, other than his LINK VRAINS ID).

Gender: Male

Age: 16

Residence: An old apartment in Den City, Café Nagi

Job: Hacker, part-time employee at Café Nagi (and he works there for free, just like Yuhiro at Café Matsuo).

Deck: Cyberse (The deck focuses on swarming the field for Link Summons. Like themed archetypes such as Gouki or Trickstar, Yusaku's deck is entirely built around Link Summoning. However, he's also incorporated Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning into his deck, which has helped him over time).

Ace Monster(s): Decode Talker (was the first Cyberse Link Monster Yusaku got from the Data Storm. As a Link 3 monster, he's a pretty efficient one too, where it gains 500 attack points for each monster it points to. What's more, when the opponent activates a card effect that targets a card on the field, Playmaker can tribute a monster Decode Talker points to in order to negate that effect before destroying it. Simple as that), Firewall Dragon (a strong Link 4 monster with reasonable attack points. However, its effects are where it shines the most. For every card Firewall Dragon is co-linked to, Yusaku can return monsters on the field and/or Graveyard back to the hand. It's nothing compared to Turboblaze, though), Firewall Dragon Darkfluid (a Link 5 monster with 3000 attack points. The fact that Playmaker can use this effect more than once per turn is very deadly, allowing him to push for victory).

Decode Talker was used to defeat a Cracking Dragon, and has aided Yusaku in duels from time to time. Encode Talker, Excode Talker, Powercode Talker, and Transcode Talker were also used against Yusaku's other opponents (ex. Blue Angel, Ghost Girl, Faust, and Revolver). Firewall Dragon was used to not only beat Revolver and Akira Zaizen, but also hold its own against the Ancient Ghost as well.

Firewall Dragon Darkfluid was used during Playmaker's final duel against Bohman. Based on the footage, it seems that Ai was able to obtain this monster by acquiring the power of the other Ignis. And given how Ai had a piece of Wraith inside his body due to the tracker, it's likely that he has a piece of Herald's code inside him as well. This means that Ai has the remnants of the other seven Ignis overall, which means he'll most likely become a target for those intending on fulfilling Project: VIII.

Skill: Storm Access (When his life points are 1000 or less, he can obtain a Cyberse Link Monster from a nearby data storm. The stronger and more violent the storm, the stronger the monster. You could say Yusaku takes the term big risks equals big rewards to the next level).

It's a great skill to lean on when all hope seems to be lost, as it's saved his butt more times than I can count. He also has cards that purposely lower his life points to a safe level or limit damage, so he has enough for a counterattack. It's risky, but it works.

However, there was one time where Yusaku did not use his Skill, and that was during his duel against Ace. It shows that he's able to adapt to the situation and respond appropriately with the cards in his hand. But most of the time, he uses his Skill.

LINK VRAINS' History: Just like Yuhiro, he was part of the Lost Incident with seven other kids (him, Yuhiro and Miyu, Takeru, Arashi, Specter, and Yukage makes eight). Although he was saved, he was emotionally scarred like the other Lost Incident kids, and as a result, he couldn't move on. He appeared in LINK VRAINS to fight the Knights of Hanoi after deciding to confront his past and find the truth about the Lost Incident. This is mainly his drive for dueling and living.

Now that the Knights of Hanoi are gone, there is no need for Yusaku to log in as Playmaker in LINK VRAINS. However, after our video chat with Watchman, he claimed that the Knights of Hanoi may return one day, which means he'll have to log in as Playmaker to confront them once again.

Sure enough that day came, as Playmaker logged into the network in an attempt to save Jin from Bohman's grasp. However, this led Playmaker to confront numerous opponents, such as defeating Bohman a total of three times with one draw, a rematch against Go Onizuka, Blood Shepherd, Kusanagi himself (unfortunately) and more.

Duel Grade right now: SSS (Smokin' Sexy Style) (The dude still hasn't lost a duel at all. Like that's completely amazing. And without Ai's help too? I'm impressed (and disappointed in Ai at the same time for, well, being Ai)).

Notes: Yusaku's Cyberse deck focuses on swarming the field for Link Summons. It's also centered on surviving to the bitter end, where he can use his Skill Storm Access to make a comeback (even though Ai did slightly better at helping him, he needs to do his duty as an Ignis and further help him). He's also incorporate the other summoning methods to further advance his strategies.

Just like Yuhiro, he uses an old model Duel Disk, which very few use today. It might be the same one he used during the Lost Incident.

Like Yuhiro, he has a habit of saying three things (this was given to him by the same person who spoke to Yuhiro. Yusaku believes that that same person is still imprisoned, which is another reason why he fights. So that he can one day free them. According to Yusaku, apparently, Ryoken was the one who said those three words back then)

After the second Speed Duel with Revolver, Yusaku confronted him, aka Ryoken Kogami in real life at his house. It was there where he learned that Revolver was the one who taught him the three things idea. The two of them then dueled against one another in one last Master Duel to decide the fate of LINK VRAINS. While Yusaku won, as I stated above, Revolver and the Knights of Hanoi will return.

Ever since his duel against Percival, Yusaku is starting to question what his 'true self' exactly is. He claims to want justice for everyone who suffered at the hands of the Hanoi, but based on what he told me, perhaps he wants more. He hopes to find an answer once the Hanoi are defeated (and now that the Hanoi are away, he has the chance of doing some soul-searching. Hopefully, he figures it out soon).

After the Hanoi was defeated, Yusaku and Kusanagi told us how the two of them met, along with how they obtained the Cyberse deck. It was interesting learning about this information, as whoever came up with the puzzles was very clever.

Yusaku came back in action after Jin was kidnapped by Bohman, intent on getting him back. It's led to Yusaku dueling against multiple opponents over time, such as Blood Shepherd, Bohman, an AI-enhanced Go Onizuka, and Kusanagi (unfortunately due to Lightning's actions). He even dueled against Slipstream to help him decide his next actions.

With Yusaku's profile done, Yuhiro closed it up before opening up Bohman's profile. Only one more to go. "A lot has happened regarding Bohman since we last updated his profile. For starters..." He scrolled back the footage as he saw Bohman use his new Skill. "Bohman's new Skill called Master Storm Access. Once per turn, obtain a Cyberse Link monster from the Data Storm once per turn, and it doesn't matter how many life points Bohman has. He used his Skill to obtain Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid, two variants of it, and Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon, which are all Link 5 monsters. The fact that he absorbed five out of the eight Ignis has enhanced Bohman's dueling skills to the point where he nearly became unstoppable. Thankfully, Playmaker was able to ultimately defeat him in the end." Words appeared in the 'Skill' section of Bohman's profile.

"On the topic of ace monsters, Bohman has a lot of them." Yuhiro voiced his exasperation. "First is the Link 4 Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch, a Link 4 monster that requires four 'Hydradrive' Link monsters with the same attribute. Like with Rousing Hydradrive Monarch, Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch is an Earth, Water, Fire, and Wind monster, which means Bohman can negate the effects of monsters whose attributes are the same as his. In addition, Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch can attack additional times as long as the opponent sends monsters they control with the same attribute as him. Finally, should this monster leave the field, Bohman can pay 1000 life points to bring him back. All in all, it's a very deadly monster to contend with." Words began to appear in the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile. "Next is the Link 3 Paradox Hydradrive Atlas, a Link 3 monster which requires two or more 'Hydradrive' monsters, one of which needs to be a Level 5 or higher monster. Upon being Link Summoned, Bohman can roll a dice, which determines what attribute Paradox Hydradrive Atlas has. In addition, Bohman can roll another dice to Special Summon a 'Hydradrive' Link monster whose Link rating matches the dice result. As long as it points to a monster with the same attribute, it's unaffected by card effects and can't be targeted for attacks. It's a stronger, yet perverted version of Earth's strategies, and he even gained the ability to use Hand Traps upon absorbing Aqua too." More words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile.

"Then we go to the Link 5 monsters. First being the Link 5 monster Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid, which requires five 'Hydradrive' Link monsters to Link Summon it. But the cost is worth it, as upon being Link Summoned, Bohman gets to place a 'Hydradrive' counter on it. From there, once per turn, during either player's turn, Bohman can roll a dice before returning Dragrid back to his Extra Deck and Special Summoning a 'Draghead' version of it based on the attribute the diced landed on. At the End Phase, Bohman can return the 'Draghead' monster back to his Extra Deck and Special Summon Dragrid right back to his field. It's literally like a hydra respawning itself again and again, symbolizing Bohman's intention to always stay in control of the duel." More words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile. Yuhiro sighed in annoyance. At least there was one last ace monster to talk about. "Last but not least is the Link 5 Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon, a Link 5 monster that requires one or more Link monsters to Link Summon it. Upon being Link Summoned, Bohman can place five 'Hydradrive' counters on it, which increases its attack points by 1000 for each one. Not only does Bohman take no damage when it battles, if it would be destroyed, Bohman can simply remove a 'Hydradrive' counter instead. Last but not least, after damage calculation, Bohman can destroy all monsters on the opponent's field, and then inflict 300 damage for each 'Hydradrive' Link monster in his Graveyard. Deadly on all aspects." The last bunch of words appeared in the 'Ace monster' section of Bohman's profile.

Yuhiro narrowed his eyes at the footage as he saw shadowy, ribbon-like tentacles rise in the same area Bohman and Yusaku was in. He ended up gasping upon recognizing those tentacles. They were the same ones that killed Herald and Wraith, and nearly tried to kill him and Yukage! "Looks like Bohman was corrupted during his duel against Yusaku. Whoever did this was also responsible for killing Herald and Wraith. Aka, the bozo with glasses..." Words appeared in the 'Notes' section of Bohman's profile.

"On the topic of Bohman, he's demonstrated a more honorable side during the war in Mirror LINK VRAINS." Yuhiro continued. "For instance, he allowed Aoi to say goodbye to Akira, praised Takeru's strategies before saying goodbye to him, and even took Jin's, Specter's, and Katsuya's respective consciousness data so Lightning won't have any hostages to use against Revolver. What's more, he released everyone absorbed after his duel against Yusaku, and even sacrificed himself to save Yusaku from being killed by the bozo with glasses." Words appeared in the 'LINK VRAINS history' and 'Notes' sections of Bohman's profile.

"With all of this information complied together, Bohman's duel grade is now at SS+, or Sick Skills with a plus. As a result of Bohman absorbing a total of five Ignis, he was able to get far stronger, thus making him another of our most dangerous enemies to deal with. Simple as that." Words appeared on Bohman's profile before Yuhiro made final edits, which caused the profile to look like this after making those edits:

Name: Bohman

VRAINS ID: Bohman

Other aliases: Lightning's 3rd Generation AI, Cyberse World's Destroyer

Gender: Male

Age: Unknown

Residence: Deceased (Bohman was seemingly erased along with Mirror LINK VRAINS after his duel against Playmaker).

Job: Lightning's servant (though Bohman claims to be superior to him), 3rd Generation AI (designed to unite the Ignis into one).

Skill: Storm Access (Former Skill, which lets him obtain a Cyberse Link monster from the Data Storm when his life points are 1000 or less. The stronger and more violent the storm, the stronger the monster. The worst part is that he can use it during a Master duel, thus making the duel unpredictable at that point), Master Storm Access (Current Skill, which lets him obtain a Cyberse Link monster from the Data Storm once per turn, and it doesn't matter how many life points Bohman has. Thankfully, Playmaker was able to ultimately defeat him in the end).

Deck: Hydradrive (an archetype that manipulates attributes in Bohman's favor, most of which consisting of Link monsters. Not only has Bohman also included cards that negate the effects of monsters with the same attribute, he's also included cards that help speed up his Link Summons. Bohman also utilizes a few cards with luck-based effects, as it opens up new options according to him. Ex. Bohman can summon a 'Draghead' monster version of Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid by rolling a dice, which determines which attribute version of Draghead he gets to bring out).

Ace monster: Tesseract Hydradrive Monarch (a Link 4 monster that requires four 'Hydradrive' Link monsters with the same attribute to Link Summon it. All in all, it's a very deadly monster to contend with), Paradox Hydradrive Atlas (a Link 3 monster that requires two or more 'Hydradrive' monsters, including a Level 5 or higher effect monster. It's a stronger, yet perverted version of Earth's strategies, and he even gained the ability to use Hand Traps upon absorbing Aqua too), Chimera Hydradrive Dragrid (a Link 5 monster with 4000 attack points, though at the cost of using five 'Hydradrive' Link monsters to Link Summon it. It's literally like a hydra respawning itself again and again, symbolizing Bohman's intention to always stay in control of the duel), Perfectron Hydradrive Dragon (another Link 5 monster under Bohman's command that requires one or more Link monsters. Deadly on all aspects).

LINK VRAINS' history: First appeared when he stole Jin's consciousness data. Thanks to Haru, he was able to escape. Playmaker and Raguel encountered the both of them once again in Windy's world, where Playmaker dueled Bohman again, while Raguel dueled against Haru. During Bohman's first duel, he was mentally unstable and confused, but in his rematch against Playmaker, he claimed to be the real Playmaker while the other was nothing more than a fake.

The third time Playmaker dueled Bohman, the latter was calm and content with who he was, having accepted the truth about himself. He appears to be respectful, as he praised Ai for having human instinct (before explaining how his instinct affected the others in a rude way). All in all, he has fully matured as an AI.

Bohman was also someone with honor, as he allowed Blue Maiden to see Akira one last time before becoming a part of Mirror LINK VRAINS, praising Soulburner's strategies as a duelist, and taking in Jin's, Specter's, and Katsuya's consciousness data to prevent Lightning from using them as hostages. What's more, Bohman not only released everyone who fell unconscious, he also saved Yusaku's life before he died. I'm not sure who Bohman protected Playmaker from, but whoever that person was, it seems that they were so powerful that Bohman saw Playmaker as the only one out of the two who could actually defeat this mysterious person. It was most likely the bozo with glasses who attempted to kill Yusaku and Ai.

Duel Grade right now: SS+ (Sick Skills with a +) (The fact that Bohman has become stronger due to absorbing five out of the eight Ignis shows just how dangerous he ultimately was as an enemy).

Notes: Bohman is the main weapon Lightning used to destroy the Cyberse World in an attempt to unite the Ignis together under one belief, now aiming to absorb them all haven been given the powers of a Construct by Athaliah. To put it simply, a final parting gift from her that shows her evil will still lives on even after death. As though the past is catching up on us and history repeating itself.

Thanks to Master Storm Access, Bohman was able to acquire several Link 5 monsters to put in his deck, thus demonstrating his growth as an AI. He believes in AI superiority, which is kind of cliché in most movies, but if you apply it in a human context, it makes sense. Nevertheless, Playmaker was able to defeat Bohman in the end, though it was too close of a call.

According to the footage, it seemed that Bohman got corrupted somehow, as Malf was inside him. Azrael originally planned to control Bohman, but there was an interloper who prevented that from happening by infecting Malf. It's most likely that another threat is on the horizon, and we must be ready to fight it.

Bohman in the end entrusted us with the future before dying, thus showing his honor as a duelist. To back it up, he even released everyone as well.

With all of the profiles done and over with, Yuhiro closed up the profile before turning the monitor off. He sweated as pain continued to course through his body, which made him grith his teeth as well. As such, Yuhiro grabbed another healing stim nearby and injected it into his body, hoping it will help. Luckily, it helped his Link Trigger mitigate the pain, which ultimately helped Yuhiro retain control of himself. He couldn't help but let out several quiet, sad chuckles as he slowly walked upstairs to his room. The nightmares he was having, where people were being killed by the Shadow, it seemed like a subconscious part of him was enjoying seeing those people die, and that part scared Yuhiro more than anything else. That was one of the reasons he put the 'URGENT NOTE' section in his profile. Yuhiro was beyond scared that he was the one going out at night and killing people in his sleep-deprived state, not the Shadow. If that was the case, he'd rather be put out of his misery by the people he loved than by an unknown individual.

Having entered into his room, Yuhiro strapped on his duel disk as he made a fist with his right hand, which caused sparks of energy to briefly appear before dissipating. Apparently, the data cache Yuhiro absorbed contributed greatly in his fight against Azrael, especially how he was able to bring out a data clone of himself to even the odds. But what would happen if he absorbed more data caches? Yuhiro smirked. He wanted to find out as soon as he can.

"You know what needs to be done, right?" Pandora quietly questioned, as she appeared in the room. "Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to."

"I'm well aware of that, Pandora." Yuhiro quietly snapped back. "But first, I need to make a small trip to the network." Nodding in compliance, Pandora turned into particles, which went back into Yuhiro's duel disk. "Deck Set. Into the VRAINS."

Author's Notes

Hi, everyone! I hope you enjoyed the set of profiles shown here. Next up is the second off-screen duel, which will be between Seamus and Go Onizuka before the latter officially became a bounty hunter. Note that it won't be posted until after Chapter 101 at the latest. As such, I will see you all next time at Chapter 95! But in the meanwhile, I hope you all enjoy the post-credits scene below:

Post Credits Scene

Several hours later, in the real world, at the Lost Incident facility...

SHINK!

Shadowy, ribbon-like tentacles pierced through the individuals that were nearby as each of them fell like flies. Walking on the grass towards a large, abandoned building was a pitch-black humanoid with red outlines, where with each step, more tentacles emerged from the shadows and stole some of their life. With each step, more tentacles continued to drain the life out of the area. Those people weren't threats, so why couldn't it stop itself from hurting them? They were innocent, so why couldn't it just leave them alone?

It wasn't just due to how the Shadow needed energy for the host in order to fulfil its purpose, which was to ensure the species was weakened from the inside out. No. This was due to what the host was feeling after everything that has happened.

It took three failures for the host to understand a sad truth: That the world was just an elaborate, broken tapestry of life itself. Specifically, every living thing on this world will always have cracks inside their life based on the experiences they went through, thus showing how despite being fixed, each one will always be broken one way or another no matter how much you try to fix the cracks. And even if you moved forward, the cracks will always be there. Ones that can never be forgotten. As a result, its fury towards everything that's happened has led it to hate itself for the damage it caused to the people in its life. A fury that can never be quelled.

The first failure he experienced was the failure to save the one he loved the most. A girl who he met at the hospital. A girl who, after spending time with her, had genuinely fallen in love with her. And she was taken away from the host just when everything was right with the world.

The second failure he experienced was the failure to save the one who raised him. A woman who took him in from the Den City Shelter and showed him love and compassion. A woman who always stayed by his side after he learned the horrible truth about himself, and assured him again and again of his kind aspects. And she was taken away from the host just like with the girl.

The third failure he experienced was the failure to save the one who he deemed a friend. An Ignis who taught the host great lessons and provided strong wisdom. An Ignis who was kind and compassionate, just like the host. And he was taken away from the host, just like with the woman and the girl.

The pitch-black humanoid felt nothing but pure rage, sadness, and self-hatred in his body upon recalling everything that happened. It eventually reached a building. One that it was in for a long time before being rescued.

The Lost Incident facility.

The pitch-black humanoid suddenly glitched for several seconds before turning into Yuhiro, who summoned a corrupted version of Excalibur in his hand as black, red, and purple particles merged with it. Earlier, Yuhiro went into the network, and absorbed another of the data caches in order to get stronger. As a result, his strength was amplified more than ever.

Wanting to test his amplified strength, Yuhiro then brought the dark pillar of light downward onto the facility, which caused a massive explosion that destroyed it completely, as evident by the fires surrounding it. But it wasn't enough for Yuhiro, as shadowy, ribbon-like tentacles emerged from the ground before tearing the facility apart again and again, which caused it to be ultimately destroyed beyond repair.

Yuhiro let out a laugh as he saw the Lost Incident facility finally destroyed in front of him. However, the laughter stopped as he reflected on what just happened, along with the sad truth he learned seconds earlier. My chest will never again be defiled by worldly filth, Yuhiro vowed in his mind, a look of determination on his face. I will eradicate every last trace of sin from this world and fulfil my destiny, as well as finish what Yukage had started! Then the world will be cleansed, ready to receive a supreme calling! One that will ensure mankind's survival for the better! One that will ensure humans retain their free will, yet be ultimately motivated to change for the better!

Yuhiro then walked away from the destroyed facility, having identified his next target as he began glitching back to the pitch-black humanoid. Since he had been deemed a bomb with a lit fuse that can go off at any moment, it was only fair to demonstrate that fact upon those who judged him by it. He laughed once again as he looked forward to seeing the looks of terror on their faces. There is no need to fear, everyone. The pain will be brief, Yuhiro continued thinking in his mind before fully glitching back to the pitch-black humanoid. The era of sin and brokenness is coming to an end!
