Chapter 8: Fight to your Last Breath!
Previously on RWBY X YU-GI-OH!
Ruby was all alone after a horrendous argument with her team and Jaune, crying in grief. Neo took full advantage of this by ambushing Ruby. Just when it seemed like Ruby would meet her end, the curious cat came to her aide…or so it seemed. The cat betrayed Ruby, trying to possess her but failed due to Little's interference…at the cost of fatally injuring Ruby's heart. Now she engages in a duel against the cat after it possessed Neo instead, but can she win before her heart fails?
"Rainbow Dark Dragon! Attack her directly with Rainbow Dark Refraction!" Neocat hollered as their dragon blasts a stream of black fire and rainbow energy at Ruby to her teams horror.
"RUBY!" Yang hollers in fright as an explosion seemingly consumes her sister. Her team and Jaune's eyes widen in shock at the sight before them, trembling at the thought of their friends demise to the cat's amusement.
"Purrrfect! I can't wait to make you 4 join her next." They said sadistically as they licked their lips.
"She…she can't be gone. Please let this be a lie." Weiss whimpered. Jaune got on his knees at the thought of it, having wished it himself the night Pyrrah died. Yet he knew…he knew it was pointless to get his hopes up. He just squinted his eyes as they grew wet, letting the pain consume him again.
"I'm sorry Ruby…I shouldn't have pushed you away!" Jaune thought with a grimace as his fingers clenched to the point they almost bleed as badly as his heart right now. He had neglected Ruby's suffering for his own, and now she had paid the price.
Suddenly a glimmer of green light invaded his eyes. Jaune was reluctant to open them, fearing some sort of sick trick from Neo. He had dreamed many times the people he lost in his life were still here, just victims of bad dreams, yet was disappointed each time he opened his eyes and woke up. He couldn't bring himself to hope for it, that is until a cry from Blake implored him to.
"Jaune look! She's alive!" Blake cheered. Jaune sighed as he slowly opened his tearful eyes, his breath hitching as he saw it to be true, fate had answered his desire at last; his friend was alive and surrounded by that beautiful red and white Dragon with a green force-field on its head.
Ruby was smirking as she saw their reactions, glad that she didn't disappoint them for once, but turned her attention to the Neocat gawking in surprise at her survival, taking special joy in denying them the win.
"Sorry to disappoint YOU cat, but thanks to my trap Call of the Haunted I was able to resurrect my Cyber Barrier Dragon and block this attack." Ruby mockingly sang as she stuck out her tongue, drawing a red blush from Neocat who began barring their fangs as they hissed at her at the taunt.
"I'll rip that tongue out before I send you to oblivion!" They threatened.
WBY and Jaune couldn't help but laugh at the possessed duelists tantrum, which only served to further aggravate the demon.
"You'll have to wait, cause its my sisters turn now! Knock em dead Rubes." Yang cried out, but her smile faded as she saw Ruby begin wheezing, sweat dripping down her chin.
We see an image of Ruby's heart beating slowly, before pounding rapidly for a brief moment, making her wince in pain as she clasps her chest.
"Rubes? Come on, hang in there." Yang whimpered.
"Easier…*sigh* said then done. But I'll try if it will make you happy." Ruby said scathingly as she drew her next card. Yang winced as she heard her sister's bitter tone and angry look at her draw. Neither were a good sign.
"She's still mad at us huh?" Yang mused to her team.
"What did you expect? It's barely been an hour since her blow up." Weiss sadly retorted. As much as she wanted to cheer, she couldn't find the strength to as she remembered clearly how Ruby said she felt pressured to live up to their expectations.
"Gotta be SOMEONE who doesn't screw everything up for EVERYONE!" Weiss winced as she heard Ruby's scream echo in her mind, then in reality as everyone recoiled hearing Ruby's painful cry.
"GAAAAAH!" She cried as she clasped her chest, red veins actually protruding off her face and neck, showing the stress she was under.
"Please hang on Ruby!" Blake pleaded, tears stinging her eyes as her ears went down flat on her head.
"I'll…End my turn." Was all Ruby could do as she wobbled in place, her vision growing hazy as she struggled to catch her breath, making Neocat chuckle in satisfaction.
"Looks like I won't have to wait long to see you croak. My move!" Neocat said as they drew a card. "Rainbow Dark Dragon, send that Cyber Dragon to the scrapyard." Neocat ordered as her dragon sent an energy blast towards Barrier dragon again.
"Forget something…*huff* when my dragon's in attack mode, your attack's canceled out." Ruby protested weakly, but winced as she saw the smirk on Neocat's face, trembling as she felt the cold touch of that cat on her chest at the sight of those fangs they bared at her, making her skip a breath.
"Normally yes you'd see that happening, but eyes can play tricks on you. Here's one such trick with this spell, Vision Illusion!" Neocat yells as a wave of heat surrounds Ruby's eyes as she sees her Dragon's shield for one moment block the laser. Suddenly it's size doubles as it's ATK rises to 1800 to her confusion
"You just made her dragon stronger? What was that suppose to accomplish?" Jaune cried out. His heartbeat skipped his ears were pierced with a painful sound of Neocat cackling, knowing something dreadful was about to happen. He honestly preferred dealing with the assassin when she was mute; silent but deadly was often preferable to taunts.
"My spell may power up her dragon, but now it's special abilities are negated. No stopping my dragon's attack this time!" Neocat cackled as Ruby grinded her teeth in shock and frustration as her Barrier Dragon's green force field disappears and it gets struck with the laser, exploding and sending a shockwave across the battlefield that nearly knocked WBY and Jaune off their feet's. The force of the wave also made Ruby kneel as it resonated with her ailing heart, which skipped a beat literally as she struggled to catch a breath, wincing in pain as her Aura drops to 1200 to Neocat's amusement.
"Now that's what I call a heart attack. Too bad humans don't get 9 lives." Neocat taunted before ending their turn.
"Go ahead and make a move, if you CAN that is." They asked. Ruby weakly got back on her feet, the taunt having fueled her anger and adrenaline, despite still struggling to breath. Her lungs felt like they were on fire, her hands shook as she felt like needles stabbed into them. With this pain, doubt began to creep into the young duelists mind.
"I'm not sure how much longer I can keep going. I can barely breath let alone play a monster. Even if I did win…what then?" Ruby bitterly thought though her labored breathing. Sadness overwhelmed her, as she drowned out the muffled screams of concern her ears heard from her team, she closed her eyes as as she imagined Penny's smile, the last she saw of her, knowing she wouldn't keep it if she saw Ruby in this state. She herself knew she would be joining her lost friend soon, her hearts burning being the proof. She then opened her eyes to see Neocat chuckling, growing annoyed by their blue eyes filled with sadistic glee. She then looked up to eye the dragon growling over her, its dark skin catching her gaze as well.
"That dragon use to be pure white and beautiful, even if it was owned by a rotten snake like Neo." Ruby thought, rage soon overtaking her as she remembered the cat playing with her body and seeing it in full display with Neo and her dragon, now both corrupted by the shadows that cat had within. With this thought, adrenaline in Ruby spiked as she growled in anger, regaining her footing to her teammates glee. She ignored them mostly, focusing on her draw, and the card it contained.
"Power Bond." She whispered. She knew it was her strongest fusion card, but it came at a price, her remaining Aura. Plus, she had no other cards to fuse with it, just a face-down. Soon though, a single desire crept into her mind, replacing reality with a hope for it to come true.
"If I'm going down, I'm at least going to wipe that smirk off this monsters face when I rip that dark dragon to shreds." Ruby thought.
"I reveal my trap, Beacon of Hope!" Ruby cries out. Jaune and WBY's eyes widen in shock as they hear the name of their old school and the message that came with it. Ruby had lost 2 friends the day it fell, yet she pushed them all on to get justice and save innocents from Salem and her forces, hopeful what happened couldn't happen again.
"She won't give up, she'll never give up." Yang said firmly and her teammates nodded.
"Your right, Ruby will find a way, then we'll get outta her and get her heart looked at. She can last, I know it!" Weiss proclaimed with a confident grin. Her partner giving one as well to their satisfaction.
"With this, I can pay 1000 Aura then draw a card for every 1000 Aura difference between us! Since it's over 3000 I draw thrice!" Ruby explained as her aura dropped to 200 and draws 3 cards.
"Your already about to kill over and you want to shorten your life more? My you must be desperate." Neocat taunted.
"You'll be the one crying for help after I do this." Ruby countered after a hard breath to their surprise.

"I fuse, Cyberdark Horn, Cyberdark Keel, and Cyberdark Edge with the magic of POWER BOND!" Ruby yells to her teams shock.
"But if she does that then-" Blake cries out before Yang beats her to it.
"She'll lose the duel. She doesn't have enough Aura!" Yang said in shock, her first instinct telling her to rush at Ruby and drag her out of here, but a shockwave from the ground knocked her back, her teammates and Jaune grabbing her to keep her from falling and hitting her head as a gargantuan cybernetic dragon with jagged spikes, wings, and a mouth appears and roars against Rainbow Dark Dragon who bellows in return.
"And thanks to Power Bond, my machine type fusion monsters attack points double to 2000!" Ruby declares. Neocat sweats a bit nervously as they eye the beast double in size, before smirking as they hear that number, their self-confidence returning.
"Takes more than a mere 2000 ATK to frighten me, that things too weak." Neocat snickered, but Ruby formed a wicked smile.
"You're forgetting 2 important words, SPECIAL EFFECT. When it's played my dragon's goes off, it absorbs a dragon from one of our graveyards, after that it absorbs everyone of its ATK for itself." Ruby explains, making the possessed duelist recoil in shock.
"It what!" They cry out and Ruby nods.
"And thanks to your chimera, you sent one directly to my graveyard on your first turn, so thanks for DRAGONROID!" Ruby declares as a red cybernetic dinosaur like dragon appears beneath CyberDark Dragon and gets attached to its stomach, the jagged spikes trapping it as two tubes stick into its head, raising CyberDark's ATK to 4800.
"And I'm not done yet, thanks to its other special ability, Cyberdark dragon gets 100 points for every card in my grave. I have 1700 if you hadn't been counting kitty." Ruby snickers as her dragon goes up to 6500.
"It's got over 6000 attack points!?" Neocat cry's out in fright.
"That's right, Ruby's gonna make you mince meat for hurting her you despicable beast!" Weiss cried out and Ruby nodded.
"What ice queen said, now Cyberdark dragon attack Dark Dragon with Dragon sonic scream!" Ruby declared as her dragon's mouth opened, revealing purple gums oozing saliva from its jagged teeth as it bellows a shockwave at Rainbow Dark Dragon and Neocat making both shake their heads in visible pain as the latters aura drops to 1200. But Neocat reaches into their graveyard, pulling out a card.
"By…Banishing…Dark Cat, my Dark Dragon stays put." Neocat grumbles as they take a hard breath. Ruby clenches her chest as she does the same.
"Darn it…I *huff* couldn't do it. I couldn't slay her dragon." Ruby groaned, especially as she knew what was coming next as her dragon eyed her, along with her team tearfully.
"Ruby?" Yang whispered, hoping this was all a lie. Her sisters sad smile to her made her legs wobble, threatening to kill over as she saw it wasn't. Her sister was about to lose and be sent away.
"Sorry sis. For everything, guess I suck as leader and a duelist huh. My own spell's gonna do me in, how embarrassing." Ruby sniffled as she forced herself to grin. But Yang knew it was all a mask.
"Please…don't go." Yang pleaded as her team prayed for Ruby's safety, before giving Neocat a death glare as they bellowed annoyed.
"As much as I'd love to see that, you lucked out little red. Thanks to my Illusion spell, we don't take effect damage till my next turn so your safe." Neocat grumbled to Ruby and her friends joy, all sighing in relief.
"Don't get cocky! I still have aura, and claws that want to rip you apart! I'll do just that when my next turn starts after a face-down. Go ahead and try it again if you dare." They threatened but Weiss just scoffed.
"Big talk from a loser with a lameless lizard." Weiss snickered. NeoCat's nostrils flared as they heard this, fangs bared at the group as its rage intensified.
"Well before I end then, lets have my "Lame Lizard" attack you chumps!" Neocat yelled as it pointed a claw at them menacingly to Ruby's horror.
"You can't!" She cried out in defiance.
"Can't stop me! Go Rainbow Dark Refraction!" They countered as their dragon blasted the team or at least tried too. Ruby was about to have her dragon intercept, but couldn't bring the words out of her mouth as she went into a coughing fit, spewing a bit of blood into her mouth. All that could come out in time as the ray drew near her shocked friends was a large NO!
Sensing his friend's distress, Little thought of only one solution, yet knew it would aggravate her ailing heart more.
"Oh well, maybe saving them and helping her will be my purpose." He thought as he lept out of Yang's hair, immersing his small body in a ball of lava that took the brunt of the beam to everyone's surprise. Ruby's eyes swelled with tears as she saw her friend soon implode, another one to fall before her as she stood by helpless.
"Little…NOOOOOOOO!" Ruby roared with anger and sadness as she clasped her head and shook it.
"Volcanic rat he…sacrificed himself to save us?" Jaune whimpered, his body shaking as he saw Penny dying before him.
"No…not again." He cried as he got on his knees in tearful agony like Ruby, before she soon gave a ferocious death glare to Neocat as they heard its snickering.
"You'll pay for that! Hear me Neo!? You'll pay dearly! Cyberdark dragon blast them!" Ruby roared as she spit up a bit of blood onto her uniform.
"I'm gonna love dirtying up that dress more with the trap Gem Sludge, now I bring back Dark cat and all my other Illusion and dark monsters and make them Dark Gems for my dragon to absorb!" Neocat hollers as dark cat, Mirror Swordsman, and Berfomat return in defense mode, then get absorbed into Rainbow Dark dragon. "You may get to draw a card, but my dragon gets 1000 points per monster this turn." Neocat declares as their dragon gains 3000 for a total of 7000.
"7000! What!?" Blake gasped, but Ruby yelled in defiance.

"I play the spell Cyberload Fusion! Now I fuse from my grave and field into my deck Cyber End Dragon and CyberDark Dragon to create CyberDark End Dragon!" Ruby counters as she summons a hybrid of the two dragons with 5000 ATK. Then she equips Dragonroid to it via its effect. "I'll end my turn with summoning Cyber Valley in attack mode which means your beasts ATK drops back to 4000 right?" Ruby asks with a huff.
"True, but its still plenty strong enough to wipe out your pathetic Valley and your Aura, Attack!" Neocat retorts.
"I use my valley's special ability! Now I draw a card and remove it from play, ending the battle phase." Ruby yells as she clenches her chest.
"Forget? My mirror swordsman can just banish itself to negate your effect so this attack goes on." Neocat retorts.
"Not with CyberDark End on the field, it's ability makes my cards immune to yours so there's no stopping this attack!" Ruby retorts as her valley disappears and she draws.
"Fine you lucked out, but I play the spell Akashic Record, now I draw 2 but if I have used those cards in this duel they get wiped out. Fortunately, these are brand spanking new, so I keep them and place 1 face-down." Neocat sighed as they breathed heavily along with ruby, both getting worn down. Ruby's vision grew hazy as she slowly reached for her next card…no her final card. She knew her strength was almost gone. This was her final turn and she had to make the most of it.
"I…draw Gah!" Ruby groaned as she picked up her card, her heart skipping a beat as she gasped for air.
"Hang on, please!" Weiss begged and Ruby nodded.
"CyberDark End Dragon, lets not disappoint Weiss shall we? Especially since your ability grants you an extra attack for each card you absorbed." Ruby says with a wry smile to Neocat's concern.
"So, a double does of dragon fire?" Neocat asked and Ruby nodded.
"That's right. Attack with Strident Darkblaze!" Ruby commanded as Dragonroid opened its mouth first, unleashing a red energy beam with black flames at Rainbow Dark Dragon, exploding it and dropping Neocat to 200 Aura to Ruby's teams joy.
"Just one more Sis!" Yang cried out.
"Blast her!" Jaune cried out.
"Banzai!" Weiss and Blake cheered in unison as they jumped.
But soon everyone froze as the second energy beam unleashed by Cyberdark end dragon melted away into a veil of rainbow light.
"What's going on!?" Ruby cried out.
"I activated my Rainbow Life trap, so I get to discard my last card and gain Aura equal to the damage I would have taken from your last attack." Neocat explained as their aura rises to 5200. They soon formed a frown however, as they saw Ruby began to laugh despite holding her chest and sweating badly, knowing her heart was about to stop again.
"What's so funny red?" Neocat demanded to know.
"The fact you think I'm done. Your wrong, you're the one whose done with this, I play Instant Fusion and Cybernetic Fusion Support, now I can fuse from my Grave my 3 CyberDarks and summon back CyberDark Dragon!" Ruby cries out as she drops to 100 aura and pulls said cards out of her grave to everyone's shock, resummoning the dragon, though the effort makes her kneel in agony as her heart nearly ruptures from the seismic force of bringing out the beast.
"Gah! He's back!?" Neocat cried in fear.
"Yup… and your smart to be scared, my dragon *wheezing* now uses its effect again, so hand over your Rainbow Dragon from the darkness!" Ruby declared as her dragon shot tubes into Neo's grave, pulling Rainbow Dark Dragon out and attaching it to its body, turning its dark shadowy skin back to pure white as it becomes Rainbow dragon and gains ATK to 6700.
"Oh no!" Neocat groans in fear. Suddenly Ruby's heart completely stops, making her body spasm a bit but she wills through it, using her last breath possible to cry out an attack
"Oh yes, Cyberdark end this with Rainbow refraction!" Ruby yelled as she hunched forward and her dragon bellows a sonic screech, one that seperates Neo from the Neocat as its ears bleed from the attack and it rolls on the ground in pain before being snatched up by Rainbow dragons tail, drawing its frightened face to the angry one before it.
"Gaah! No! I must go to that world please!" They pleaded but Ruby shook her head as she punched her chest, forcing her heart to beat again as the magma in it ruptures, making it bleed.
"Enjoy…the shadow realm…attack!" Ruby said coldy.
"Noooooo!" Cat cried out as a rainbow blast from the dragon incinerated it, dropping its aura to 0. Ruby's dragons all roar as they begin to fade, their master soon collapsed onto her stomach as her vision grows hazy.
"RUBY!" Her friends yell as they run over to help her, even though she knows within its pointless, her heart had failed. Yang knelt down and got her sisters head onto her lap gently.

"Hang in there baby girl! Your gonna be fine!" Yang cried out, but Ruby wheezed as she shook her head weakly.
"Nope. N-Not…this time." Ruby whispered as her eyes grew dull to her friends shock.
"No…No…No! Please! We just gotta get you to the tree and send you to a doctor back home!" Jaune cried, though it soon was hard for ruby to tell if he was crying as rain descended upon them, the world itself sensing their dread.
"I'm going there. You just….can't go with me yet." Ruby said softly as her body began to glow rainbow coloring.
"W-What do you mean? We're a team, I'M YOUR SISTER! We should always go with you! Anywhere!" Yang cried out in disbelief along with the others as they clenched their teeth in frustration, before wincing as they saw the inevitable come. The saw Ruby's shoulders began to fade into the light, Yang's hands trembling as they lost the sensation of her sisters soft skin. The last she saw of her as she weakly looked up to face her sister's face as it cried tears unto her cheeks was a soft sad smile.
"I love you." Ruby weakly said as she closed her silver eyes and rested her head onto Yang's thighs before fading, the light slowly flying towards the tree as Yang vainly attempted to grasp it, desperate to bring her sister back.
"BABY SISTER!" Yang cried as she wailed into the dark sky, louder than the thunder could block out as she and her team and Jaune screamed for her to return.
Ruby's eyes squinted as they slowly opened as she heard the sound of metal clanging. Yet, all she saw as she woke up was darkness. Her body felt light and weak, barely able to keep her upright. Ruby wasn't sure if she was even alive right now, it was only with hesitation she dared tried to speak to see if she still could.
"W-Where….where am I?" She whispered. She trembled as the last thing she remembered was killing that monster cat and….dying in her sisters arms. Her own slouched as she deduced this was either limbo…or the place of eternal torment for her failing in Atlas and to for her friends. After all, what greater torment for her than to be alone.
Soon as if this world felt her negative thoughts, a presence resonated nearby as if to prove the hurt child wrong and alleviate her sorrows.
"I…wasn't expecting you here just yet." A woman's voice called out in the distance, creating a small orange light Ruby recognized as a candle. She wasn't sure where she was or what this person, if she even was one, meant by that. All Ruby could do was walk towards the source, hopeful she'd fine some answers to what happened, and to find a way back to her family.

Duel In Progress: Ruby Rose vs NeoCat
Turn 7: NeoCat
NeoCat currently controls Rainbow Dark Dragon (Star 10/4000 ATK), 3700 Aura and no other cards, while Ruby has a set card and 3400 Aura. Both duelists have no cards in hand.
Rainbow Dark Dragon attacks Ruby directly but Ruby activates Call of the Haunted to special summon Cyber Barrier Dragon in Attack mode from her graveyard (Star 6/800 ATK) and uses it's ability to negate this attack.
NeoCat ends.

Turn 8: Ruby
Ruby draws a card and sets it. Ruby ends her turn.
Turn 9: NeoCat.
NeoCat draws and attacks with Rainbow Dark Dragon. Ruby attempt to activate Barrier Dragon's ability but NeoCat activates the spell Vision Illusion to give it 1000 ATK but negate it's abilities and Neither Player takes effect damage till NeoCat's next turn. (Barrier Dragon 800 – 1800 ATK).
The attack continues and Barrier Dragon is destroyed (Ruby 3400 – 1200 Aura).
At this point, the strain on Ruby's damaged heart nearly gives her a heart attack and makes her collapse, nearly ending the duel in forfeit, but Ruby regains consciousness so the duel continues.
NeoCat ends.
Turn 10: Ruby
Ruby draws and activates Beacon of Hope to pay 1000 Aura and draw a card for every 1000 Aura difference between her and NeoCat (Ruby Aura 1200 – 200). The difference is over 3000 so Ruby draws 3 cards.
Ruby then activates Power Bond to fuse CyberDark Keel, Horn, and Edge in her hand to Fusion Summon CyberDark Dragon (Star 8/1000 ATK). It's ATK is doubled due to Power Bond (1000 – 2000 ATK). First, Ruby uses its effect to equip it with DragonRoid in her graveyard as it counts as a dragon type monster (CyberDark 2000 – 4800 ATK). Furthermore, CyberDark gets 100 ATK for every card in Ruby's Graveyard. She has 17 so CyberDark Dragon gets 1700 ATK (Cyberdark 3800 – 6500).
CyberDark Dragon attacks Rainbow Dark Dragon, but NeoCat banishes Dark Cat from the graveyard to prevent its destruction via their dragon's effect (NeoCat 3700 – 1200 Aura).
Ruby ends. The effect of Power Bond activates and deals Ruby damage equal to CyberDark Dragon's original ATK but due to NeoCat's Vision Illusion she takes no damage this turn due to Card Effects.
Turn 11: NeoCat
NeoCat draws and sets a card and ends.
Turn 12: Ruby
Ruby draws then attacks with CyberDark Dragon but NeoCat reveals the trap, Gem Smudge to allow Ruby to draw, then they can special summon all Illusion, Dark, and Crystal Beast monsters that are banished or in their graveyard in defense mode with their effects negated, furthermore, Illusion and Dark monsters are treated as Crystal Beast Monsters this turn. NeoCat special summons Mirror Swordsman, Berfomet, and Dark Cat and then sends them to the graveyard to activate Rainbow Dark Dragon's effect to gain 1000 ATK per Crystal Beast it destroyed (4000 – 7000 ATK).
Ruby activates the spell Cyberload Fusion to return CyberDark Dragon and Cyber End Dragon from her field and/or graveyard to the deck and special summon CyberDark End Dragon (Star 12/5000 ATK).
CyberDark End Dragon then equips 1 monster from Ruby's graveyard to it, she chooses DragonRoid.
Ruby then normal summons Cyber Valley (Star 1/0 ATK) and ends. Rainbow Dark Dragon's effect ends (Rainbow 7000 – 4000 Aura).
Turn 13: NeoCat
NeoCat draws. Dark Dragon attacks Cyber Valley but Ruby banishes it to draw a card and end the battle Phase. NeoCat banishes Mirror Swordsman to try and negate the effect but the anime effect of End Dragon makes Ruby's monsters unaffected by the opponents card effect.
NeoCat plays Akashic Record to draw 2 cards, but must banish them if they have been played this duel. The cards they drew are new so they keep them.
NeoCat sets a card and ends.
Turn 14: Ruby

For dramatic effect, Rainbow Dark Dragon is depicted as being purified and becoming the original Rainbow Dragon as it's equipped, which frees Neo of the Curious Cat's influence.

Happy April Fools day, the worst holiday ever! I am not going to troll my fans like an asshole like the cat. Here's a fun albeit sad chapter Zane's duel against Jessie and Land before time inspired, oh so sad! Anyhow, I get it seems over dramatic since ruby just went to the tree after her heart failed and will just return like canon but for WBY and Jaune to see her death (and actually mourn for real than be shocked like in canon) was where the feels were. They wanted to all go home together but failed and need to go to the tree to do it. Next chapter will be the start of the final duel of the series as I start a new job soon and will have less time to work on these. Hope you all had a happy easter and enjoyed the duel.
