Outside, some of the pro heroes hastily raced over to the ruined Jaku City and proceeded to rescue and evacuate surviving citizens around the large urban areas. The desolation of chaos and anarchy led some of the heroes retiring for different reasons and urged civilians to take matters into their own hands against the villains with the use of support items, but their inexperience only ended up creating more damage for themselves and more decrying for the last-minute heroes.
Back in the Central Hospital, Aisha pulled her knees close to her chest on the hospital bed. She couldn't help but recollect her battle with Zircon. If it wasn't for Nightshade and Ophelia coming to the rescue, she would've been a goner. She exhaled a deep breath and composed herself.
Then, the door slid open. Aisha turned her head to see Vondergeist, Amazonite, and Ophelia stepping inside the room.
"Mom. Dad. Ophelia…." Aisha spoke.
Amazonite and Vondergeist immediately ran up to hug their daughter.
"We're so glad you're safe and well, Aisha." Amazonite said with a relieved smile.
"We came here as fast as we could when they told us what happened." Vondergeist smiled calmly.
"But…who brought me here?" Aisha asked.
"They did." Ophelia replied, pointing her thumb over her shoulder.
Aisha looked past Ophelia and saw Nightshade standing in front of the closed door with Opalite at her side.
"Kyra..." Aisha gasped softly as her eyes went wide open.
Nightshade slowly approached, making Amazonite and Vondergeist move aside. She looked at Aisha for a moment and tearfully wrapped her arms around, pulling her little sister into a hug for the first time in her life.
"Sister." Nightshade said.
Aisha looked surprised for a minute and then returned the hug with a warm smile. Amazonite, Vondergeist, Ophelia, and Opalite looked at the sisterly hug with happy smiles.
Amazonite and Vondergeist turned their heads to Opalite.
"Thanks for standing by our daughter's side. Welcome to the family." Amazonite said.
Opalite's eyes widened in surprise and smiled back.
Then, Nightshade and Aisha released the hug.
"I…want to apologize to you." Nightshade said to Aisha. She looked back to her mother, her stepfather, and her half-sister. "To all of you. When I learned the truth about my parentage, my mind was spinning. Anger, confusion. My father took me away from my own mother and trained me to destroy you just to satisfy his pitiful revenge."
Vondergeist rested his comforting hand on Nightshade's shoulder.
"We are safe and we are finally together." Vondergeist said softly. "That's all that matters."
Nightshade smiled warmly at her family.
Tarot Chariot, Carina, and Ariella continued to keep a watchful eye over Luna slumbering peacefully on the bed. They silently yet patiently awaited Luna's wake from her comatose sleep. Throughout every passing minute, Luna remained unconscious, even after her physical body was healed up by the hospital's advanced medical treatments.
In a vast deep pink-skied mindscape, Luna crisscrossed on the diamond-like gemstone texture as the base of the ground. All her memories of meeting Tenko, comforting him, confronting the All For One-possessed Tomura, and being pulled away began overflowing her state of mind.
I heard that villains who have done evil deeds out of pure hatred and malevolence are beyond saving. But despite all the troubles and devastation he caused, I saw...the actual pain and suffering from Shigaraki. Luna thought in a firm tone.
Luna recalled herself hugging Tenko, who buried his crying face on her right shoulder.
When I met the little boy, I saw the real Shigaraki. The one who suffers so much pain and wants to be saved from it all. Luna continued. That made me understand that All For One's influence has made him what he is from the USJ attack to the devastating war.
Luna opened her eyes with fierce determination.
Shigaraki may have killed so many people during his path to villainy and his actions will not be forgiven to anyone. But no matter what it takes, I'm saving that little boy. Luna declared. Even if I have to take down All For One...myself.
Suddenly, Luna's eyes fluttered open. The first thing that came into her view was the faces of her mother and her aunts.
"Luna's awake." Ariella said with a tearful smile.
"Thank goodness." Carina said with a relieved sigh.
Luna pushed herself up and rubbed her eyes.
"Oh man. How long was I out?" Luna mumbled to herself.
"I'm at the hospital now." Ariella answered.
Luna's eyes widened in surprise.
"The hospital?" Luna repeated. She looked around the room and looked at her mother. "But what about Midoriya and the others? Is everyone okay?"
"It's…a long story." Tarot Chariot replied.
"Right now, you need to replenish your strength." Carina said.
Tarot Chariot narrowed her eyes as she detected two pro heroes standing behind the slight open door for a while. She materialized a glowing pink energy card in between her fingers and swiftly threw it at the door, causing both heroes to exclaim with terrified expressions.
"It's not wise to eavesdrop, boys." Tarot Chariot called out..
Luna, Carina, and Ariella quickly turned their heads at the door. When the door slid open, only Luna's eyes widened in surprise. Stepping inside the room are Hawks and Best Jeanist. Hawks was wearing a black respirator mask over his nose and mouth.
"Best Jeanist and Hawks!" Luna gasped in surprise.
"I can see why All Might loves you so much." Hawks spoke sheepishly as he began using a text-to-voice app on his phone. "You're one scary lady. Nothing gets past you."
"Our apologies. We didn't eavesdrop, Chariot." Best Jeanist apologized. "We came to check on Luna's recovery."
"Oh, I'm fine." Luna said with a smile. "Thanks."
"But that's not the real reason why you're here." Tarot Chariot said firmly as she placed her hands on her hips.
"You're right. We're here to obtain information." Best Jeanist said. "The public are demanding an explanation on that unavoidable subject."
"Tarot Chariot…what do you and Luna know about Divine Trinity?" Hawks asked.
Luna, Tarot Chariot, Carina, and Ariella's eyes widened in shock as they all instantly froze from where they're standing. But Tarot Chariot and Luna's eyes further expanded in realization when they both remembered Endeavor telling his sidekicks and the others about that powerful Quirk from Tomura through the comms.
"A hero from the raid heard something about it on the radio and then mentioned it to reporters." Hawks stated. "Endeavor was the one who told us that Shigaraki was targeting not only Luna but Midoriya too. Right now, we need to know what that means and how that power connects to Luna."
Luna, Carina, and Ariella turned their eyes to the Tarot Chariot, whose hat was shading over her eyes in complete surprise.
To safeguard my own daughter's well-being and for the safety of the world, I told Luna to keep the secret of Divine Trinity at all cost when she was first inherited as a child. Tarot Chariot thought. But time really flies so quickly. And knowing these pros, they won't back down if she finds a way to pacify the truth.
Since there's no point in lying to them, Tarot Chariot let out a deep sigh.
"Yes..." Tarot Chariot replied. "Luna inherited that Quirk from me."
Luna, Carina, and Ariella gasped quietly at Tarot Chariot's confession.
"Ursula…" Carina said.
"It's alright, Carina." Ariella said, placing her hand on Carina's shoulder. "Our Quirk was hidden from the world long enough. There's no need to hide it anymore."
"In fact, my sisters and I know everything about it because we inherited that power from our mother." Tarot Chariot continued. "Given the current situation, I'm aware that the heroes will be battling both the villains and the public settlement. Before any action could be taken, I'll tell you everything."
Meanwhile, Katsuki was suddenly wrapped around in Tsuyu's extended tongue.
"Deku, you bastard! You're dead!" Katsuki bellowed angrily. "And where's Luna? She better be awake whenever she is!"
As Katsuki continued hollering, Mineta and Sato began to carry him away while trying to tell him to shut up with the yelling as Tsuyu followed from behind.
"Thank you for the assistance, Tsu!" Iida said.
"What is wrong with that boy?" The nurse asked.
"When I saw the extent of his injuries, I think he would've been out for a while." Iida said with a smile.
"And yet he's somehow louder than ever." Uraraka commented.
"Hey, guys." Jiro called as she walked up to Iida and Uraraka. "Sounds like Tokoyami and Kaminari are cleared to go home now."
"Are they really? That's wonderful news." Iida said in a relieved tone.
"Are there any updates on Midoriya and Luna's recovery yet?" Jiro asked.
"They said their bodies are fine." Uraraka mumbled worriedly as she turned to walk over and stare at Izuku's door. "But I'm still worried."
While Tsuyu, Sato, and Mineta strolled through the hallway, Hawks and Best Jeanist walked closer to them.
"Heyo." Hawks greeted.
"Great Explosion Murder God, Dynamight!" Best Jeanist said in surprise. "Are you all right?"
"What's it look like?" Katsuki snapped.
Hawks walked up to Iida.
"I'd like a few words with Izuku Midoriya." Hawks stated.
"Well, All Might said to leave the two of them alone." Iida replied, turning his head to Izuku's door.
"He did, huh?" Hawks mumbled. Endeavor said that Shigaraki was after Luna and Midoriya. And just like his wife, All Might is clearly involved somehow. Thanks to Chariot, I understood Divine Trinity. But what in the world is One For All?
Three days later, the public's panic over the incident continues to increase with every passing hour. But despite the reports, not everyone wanted to blame the heroes. They wanted to believe the pro heroes have integrity and have done nothing wrong because all they wanted to feel safe from any more potential threats and needed somebody to put their faith into.
Best Jeanist, Endeavor, and Hawks were dealing with the public sentiment as a press conference inside a large hall room filled with fiercely questioning reporters. They mostly wanted answers after Dabi unleashed an accusation video during the war. With a straight face, Endeavor apologetically admitted Dabi is indeed his son and confirmed Dabi's claims and accusations towards him, going further to even confess everything about his family's past that earned shock and disgust from the general public, who are watching the press conference on their phones. Best Jeanist added that they have issued a plan to turn U.A. High into an evacuation facility to protect the civilians from the escaped villains. Endeavor then implored the reporters and the entire population to direct all their criticisms and doubts towards him and him alone, telling them to only watch him. When one of the reporters asked about One For All and Divine Trinity, Endeavor plainly answered that he knew nothing about it. That way, no one could be mad at Deku, All Might, Luna, and Tarot Chariot nor pester them further by the media.
From that day on, the number of pro heroes began disappearing significantly. If a hero is someone people know they can call on when they need help, there won't be any of them to answer and come to their aid. Despite this, there are those still willing to fight, such as Wash, Mt. Lady, Mirko, Kamui Woods, Aizawa, and many others.
Several days later, Class 1-A students returned to the Heights Alliance. Unfortunately, each and every student had received personalized letters from Luna and Izuku. They all have read it from top to bottom in their hands.
"Guys, that is super bad!" Mineta yelled as he began running in a hurry and stepped into the common area. "Look, I had a letter from Midoriya and Luna on my door!"
"Yeah, we know. Us too." Kaminari said.
"What is this?" Kirishima pondered.
"One For All? And Divine Trinity?" Shoji said, looking at the letters in his hands. "The villains are after them."
"Doesn't make any sense." Kirishima said.
"Poor Midoriya and Luna." Tsuyu said worriedly.
After being released from the Central Hospital, Izuku and Luna began to leave U.A. High without saying a proper goodbye. But before their departure, they left letters to their classmates. They even wrote letters to each other with no knowledge of their own leave.
Izuku's Letter:
[Insert name here], thank you so much. It's time for you and the rest of the class to know everything. So, I'm writing letters to try and explain. My Quirk is a power passed onto me from All Might. It's a gift that Shigaraki and All For One want to steal. So, they're coming after me. The last thing I wanted to do was put others in danger. And it's dangerous to be near me. So, I'm leaving UA. Being in the hero course and meeting everyone in Class A has made me happier than I could have ever imagined. Thank you and goodbye.
Luna's Letter:
[Insert name here], thank you for everything. I felt that I had to reveal my secret to everyone in Class A, so I'm leaving these letters for you guys. I inherited my unique power from my mother Tarot Chariot. This, I am her and All Might's daughter. My Quirk is the reason why Shigaraki, All For One, and my grandmother Oriana are coming after me. That's why...I've decided to leave UA. I'm sorry for keeping this secret so long, but I never wanted to put you and everyone else in danger because of me. Getting to know all of you in Class and sharing every experience in the hero course was the best thing that happened to me since I enrolled in this school. Thank you and goodbye.
As everyone began reading their own letter in a mix of worry and confusion, Uraraka sat on a bench outside with uneasiness and saddened. Katsuki, on the other hand, sat on the bed inside his dorm room.
"Luna…" Katsuki mumbled. "I expect complete idiocy from Deku, but not you."
Katsuki turned his head to the window with a soft expression.
In the beginning of April, Luna officially left hero academy. She was standing on top of a tall building in an unknown city with Coppelia standing by her side. She's currently wearing a black hooded cloak over her hero costume and a black ovoid mask with seven pale pink dots in an octagonal formation sitting on the top of her head.
Luna and Coppelia began observing the devastating remnants of the city, where they viewed some of the crumbling buildings and skyscrapers along with several small rumbles on the ground.
"Coppelia, start scanning for villain activities." Luna ordered with her dull dark red eyes.
Luna lowered her mask over her face and looked on with absolute determination.
Enjoy and review.
