Sunkren was bored as she was waiting for Kuran. Idly, she wondered what was stopping her Overlord from finally getting here, even though the public audiences should be over by now. While she HAS a hunch why, it isn't like she could go to check, not that they are missing each other.
Laying on the bed, she looked up at the ceiling and mused to herself: "I should take my time to get a new familiar… or earn the soul of somebody and make one."
On the other hand… that would most likely count as slavery. So something Sunkren shouldn't have for now. "Well… think I'll use the next trip to find a new familiar." Then she heard the door open. Sitting up from the bed, Sunkren smirked as she saw Kuran coming in. He was holding something in his hand. Which was quickly placed on the table close to the door.
After closing said door, he looks at Sunkren. "Sorry for letting you wait… I got an unexpected visit." while moving over to the succubus.
"I can smell," she grinned at him. Indeed she is picking up the scent of a woman from him… a woman she didn't know yet. "You have to introduce me to her at some point. It's not fair that I am not aware of one of your lovers~" while her tail was twitching at the thought of the sight of the newbie… she could smell that this girl was connected with ash… and must be related to vixens.
"I will see if I can arrange something." Stated Kuran and sat down. "But now to why we were supposed to meet here. You found a clue of the whereabouts of a ruin of the Zehrets. And now I like to know: Where is it?"
"Not asking from where I got it?" mused Sunkren
"I know a girl has her secrets," countered Kuran with a shaking head, "I am not trying my luck to discover yours."
"You are not fun at all," pounded the succubus, and a magical flame appeared in her hand. After it disappeared, a small map was in her hand. "It's not very detailed on the exact position, but I can tell you we need to conquer another land in one way or another to get there. However, it is worth it."
"Given we talk about some ruins of them, I am sure it is." nodded Kuran while removing his shoes. "After all, ruins of the disappeared Zehrets are rare enough that wars were fought. But given the emphasis, you put on this one, it must be one with more than just a few buildings, some story, and perhaps one or two artifacts?"
"If the source is true…" smirks Sunkren. "It's one of their vaults."
That caused the Overlord to freeze and slowly turn his head towards Sunkren: "A vault? Are you serious?" Were the text, which was discovered and translated, true, then the Zehrets had multiple vaults. Each is tasked to hold upon their wisdom and artifacts in case their grand civilization grumbles to help a rebirth.
And from his own adventures, the blond-haired man could tell that the vaults exist… he was once on an expedition to find one… and they found it… sadly, it self-destructed as the expedition leader decided it was a good idea to kill the guardian. A frail man that was most likely one of the last Zehrets living… having used the resources from the vault to extend his life. Of an expedition of 50 people, only a dozen, Kuran included, survived the catastrophe.
"A vault… that… that would be amazing if we get control of it," stated Kuran while holding on to Sunkren. "But nobody should know it… even the rumor of a vault would cause fighting beyond imagination. Not to mention the resources we need to bring up to ensure that once we cannot hide it anymore, we stay in control."
Then he looked into her eyes: "What have I done that you would bring me such a great treasure?"
"View it… as a sort of wedding gift," smirked Sunkren as she pushed Kuran onto the bed and placed her hands on him. "After all… you hold a great promise. I can feel it as a demoness." and runs a finger over his chest and chuckles, "That's why I even came to you in the first place."
"Oh?" mused Kuran, "Then perhaps I should make you a happy bride."
"Now we are talking," she chuckled and removed the top of her skimpy clothing to show her qualities to her Overlord.
Overlord: Kingdoms Rise
Upon a street, a single Feliton, a cat-like race that lives in the desert region close to the Kingdom of Overlord Kuran, was wandering on it. Unlike most of his kind, which had brown or sand colors, he had a fur of black and yellow eyes. If anybody looks beneath his sandy/white clothes, one notices that he has red fur. In case the red demon tail and the small horns of the forehead were missed. And if one could come closer to him, he was seemly holding a conversation by himself, while his eyes switched between yellow and yellow/red.
"Come on!" he said while his eyes were yellow/red. "Can't you go any faster? We both want our issue to be fixed! So, drag our butt faster, you lazy feline!"
"I am already moving as fast as I can," sighed the feline as his eyes went back to yellow "But have you know how long we are already traveling. And the limited funds we have doesn't help."
"Then let me call upon some small demons we can enslave! That way, we can get a few things in exchange for some souls."
"You know I won't let you," was the reply with a sigh. "Please, Vanid. Just bear with it. We are already in this kingdom… I am sure we can find that demon and get separate."
"I'm still not sure if it is smart to ask a different Demon to do that… despite the assurance of the village elder." stated the red-eyed side of him.
"Blaze… I got sealed by an angel incarnated as mortal inside you. Of course, we could ask the celestials… only for us to face punishment for adapting to "free me" as they would like to put it," stated Vanid simply as the kitties' eyes turned yellow/red once more before returning to yellow.
"Let's just find your friend… only wonder how we are supposed to find here. I doubt we can ask about that, Asrial," answered Blaze.
"Ah. Don't worry. We ask for Sunkren the Succubus instead." answered Vanid with a grin. "I can feel her presence in this kingdom, and given how unrestricted she is showing it, she got quite a pretty position I will bet."
"Why do I have the feeling we are running into something bigger than I like to face with you in my body," stated Blaze with a sound gulp
"Because you are a wimp! That's why!" laughed Vanid in answer. "Now keep on! I think I can see a village in the distance! Perhaps we are lucky to find out about Sunkren there!"
Overlord: Kingdoms Rise
Sitting on a couch, looking at a crystal ball to see events she deems relevant to keep an eye on now, Baha the Baphomet enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for the newest reports of her witches. While waiting, she felt a pair of arms wrapping around her… fur-covered ones.
Baha smiled and mused: "What did I tell you about sneaking on me, Felney?" and turned her head to look at the feline's green eyes.
The feline nuzzles Baha. "Not to do it. I know, mommy. But I really, really have something important to ask you!"
The Demoness fought back the urge to roll her eyes. "Let me guess… it is when you can finally see your daddy?"
"Yes," beamed the feline. She crouched on the ground while purring. "Mommy is so smart! When can I see him? Can I go now? Please? Please?"
Petting the cat girl's head, Baha explained: "Just have some more time… your daddy has to finish one more thing, and then we can go and see him, ok?"
Dropping her ears, she pounded: "But I'm waiting for so long already…" and looked pleading at her mother. "Let me at least sneak to him when he sleeps. Pretty please?"
Baha, however, shakes her head. "No. You can't… the risk of your discovery is too great," and rubbed her head. "But I promise once we reveal ourselves to your daddy, you can play with her the special games I told you about all day long."
"It is still so long…" sighed Felney as she climbed on the couch, curled in, and let her mommy pet her head.
Baha sighed as she did so and mused that if things were a bit simpler, she would have let that girl see her father sooner… but since she had plans for him, she couldn't just let her go now. Felney is too unrestrained to trust he would survive that encounter. That's her experience with girls like Felney. She needs to… prepare first to ensure the meeting brings the desired result. "Don't worry. Once your father is ready, you will see him. In the meanwhile, how about we ensure you are properly prepared as well for him? I found in Grandmommy's dairy something that will ensure you get something very nice and strong from your daddy once you meet him for real."
"Really?" smiles Felney and nuzzles her mommy. "What is it? And how can I be ready for it?" smiling
"It involves a magic ritual… and gathering a few things I need for preparing. My little girl can start playing with a few bad people again… and properly one or two who causes daddy trouble."
"Yay! I love helping daddy!" smiles Felney as her face brightens more. Baha chuckles as she recalls that the feline often snuck out to help her father from the shadows. She didn't care as long as Felney had fun and returned home afterward. But now she had more of an eye on the two after two events… the first one caused her curiosity to grow, and the other makes certain to make use of the man once more.
"Thought let's have a nice moment first… then I tell you what you need to do," smiles Baha and keeps petting her kitten.
Her tool to her goal.
Overlord: Kingdom's Rise
"Sir Gnarl. A letter has just arrived for you," said a Skeith as he reached a corner where he was told that Gnarl would be found there… usually.
The old minion stepped out of the shadow. "A letter? From who?" Asks the minion, as he raises an eyebrow. There is nobody who would write him.
"It's from Nordberg… from a Kelda the Hunter." stated the Skeith, and held the letter out, which Gnarl snatched up.
"That gal left a letter for me of all people?" asks the Minion master in curiosity and opens the letter and reads it."
Gnarl.
If you read this, that means you are trying to call upon my descendants for an Overlord that we would approve of. Of course, you had expected them to be in Nordberg.
And usually, you would be right. However, the forces of the Light Heroes have tracked me up there, properly as they knew I came from here… and our late Lord.
So I took my daughter and fled the scene, only leaving that letter. I will also take with me the prototype breed of the wolves, hoping to fully fledge out their race. You will know it's them once you see them.
As for where you can find me… in case that letter falls into the wrong hands, I only tell you this: I am in the last place anybody would expect a gal like me.
Hail to the new Overlord.
Kelda.
P.S.: The Wolfar Tribe will send a representative to talk with the Lord… if the tribe remembers that promise Chief Ascesh made to me.
Lowering the letter, Gnarl pinches the base of his nose and grunts. "Of course… I should have known that something like that would happen. That we were so lucky with the bloodlines of the other two being that close by was almost a miracle." and rub his chin afterward. "Last place for a woman like Kelda. Heh. Good wording. Gives still some spots," and shakes his head. "Unless… the timing could be right… but also leaves unfortunately the notion that we properly lost the line for our cause.
"Well." he shrugged, "I have still a couple of ideas on how to mitigate that loss. And one of them is close to being ready," he smirks and waved off the Skeith, not caring how much he heard. It's not like he has any use of that as that bird brain didn't know the contents of that letter. The seal was completely intact.
Moving into a room that only he and a few chosen Minions have access to he walked up to a black crystal and petted it. "Soon. Soon you will do your part of that little game," chuckles Gnarl with a wide grin "Darkness always find a way!"
A faint glow started from the Crystal and a tiny whisper was heard… but Gnarl couldn't understand it. "Don't stress yourself. You are too weak, too deep in your slumber as any could understand you. Rest more and ensure you are properly awake once I show you to my master!" he stated and began to leave the room once more. Though he stopped at the Tower Heart. "Huh… and there is also the matter of recharging that one. Too bad that this deal with the demon ran out before I had to chance to make him worry about it!"
