Hey everyone! I'm back with chapter 30! Nothing too crazy with this one, but I hope you like it anyway. P.S. Sorry for any grammar errors.

Chapter 30: Hide and Seek and Clean Up
Disclaimer: I don't own Transformers Animated.
The past few days have definitely been productive. Thankfully with the lack of Decepticon activity, we were able to catch up with some serious rebuilding.
Since Kylie and I have no construction experience, we're put on clean up duty. Pretty much we clear out all the debris and make it work ready for the bots. Thankfully with my size I can lift up the heavier stuff such as cement while Kylie clears out the smaller stuff.
Having finished clearing out the area for the bots yesterday, Kylie and I remain at base with Sari and her dad while the bots start rebuilding. A part of me wishes I was out there helping them, but since I know nothing about construction, I would only be in the way.
But hey, at least we get to spend the day with Sari. She was happy to hear we would be hanging out with her. Soon as the bots left, Sari already has us playing hide and seek with her.
"Ready or not, here I come!" I shout as I turn around from the wall.
I scan the main room. The only one in sight is Sumdac sitting in his chair with his laptop.
Since he's been staying here for his own safety, he's been working from the base. Though it's not hard to tell he'd rather be at Sumdac Systems. I feel bad, but with the Decepticons possibly still needing him for their Space bridge, we want to make sure he stays safe.
I continue my search for the other two. Finding Kylie shouldn't be hard. Sari on the other hand is small enough to hide anywhere. Searching through the main room, I look high and low for any sign of them. Nothing. This may be harder than I thought.
I hear a woof beside me, making me look down to see Waldorf walking over with his tail wagging.
"Any idea where they are?" I ask him.
He sniffs the ground and wonders outside. Thinking me might find Kylie for me, I follow behind. Immediately I am greeted by the morning sun shining bright in the sky. I shield my optics as I try to look around the yard. There's lots of junk cluttered around. Some big enough to hide behind.
Waldorf sniffs around as he makes his way towards a pile of scrap. He then stops at something with a tarp over it and starts barking.
Wait a minute. That wasn't there before.
Grinning, I creep over and careful grab the corner of the tarp. I then pull it away, revealing the blue Volkswagen.
"Found you!" I tell Kylie.
She laughs as she transforms. "Dang it, Waldorf, you gave me away!"
Waldorf only woofs as he happily wags his tail.
"Now we need to find Sari," I say, "any ideas?"
Kylie shrugs. "She didn't come out here with me."
I try to think of where she could be. "She knows the bedrooms and medbay are off limits. And she's not in the main room."
"Let's check the training room," Kylie says, "she could be hiding behind the crates."
"Good idea."
We both make our way back inside with Waldorf right behind us. Making our way down the hall, we step into the training room. the lights are on, signaling us that we're getting warm.
"Saariii," I sing as we walk in, "Where are yoou?"
Kylie and I begin searching the area. We check every little, small space we can in hopes to find her.
"Sari?" Kylie says as she looks behind a machine, only to find nothing. She stands up and scratches her head. "She's really good at this."
Just then I hear giggling from behind a crate, making me grin. "You're right, Kylie," I say, "I don't think we'll ever find her. She's too sneaky for us."
I tip toe towards the crate before grabbing hold of it. "Gotcha!" I say as I pull it away. But to my surprise, the girls not there. "Huh?"
Just then I feel something grab me from behind. "AAAAAH!" I scream as a metal claw picks me up and holds me in the air. I start flailing around as I try to break free.
I then hear laughter, making me look over to see Sari with her key in the machine working the claw.
"You should have seen your face, Jacy!" she laughs.
Kylie laughs along with her. "Good one, Sari!"
Waldorf is even barking while smiling, as if he's laughing himself.
I let out a weak laugh as I still dangle in the air. "Haha, very funny. Can you please put me down now?"
Sari chuckles. "Sure thing." Turning her key, the claw sets me down and releases me.
"Thank you," I say as I brush myself off. I then face Sari and raise my servos up as if to catch her, "now come here you little stinker!"
Sari lets out a shriek as she leaps off the machine before I can reach her. She laughs as she runs away. "Can't catch me!"
"Revenge!" I playfully yell as I reach over to grab her.
"Kylie, help!" Sari shouts as she dodges me.
"I'll save you, Sari!" Kylie says as she rushes over. Scooping up the girl, she looks at me. "You'll never take us alive!" Her and Sari laugh as I chase after them.
"You won't escape me!" I shout as I chase them out the door and down the hallway.
Waldorf barks like crazy as he chases after us, not wanting to miss the action.
We run outside into the yard where the two get themselves cornered along the side of the building. I evilly laugh at them. "Now I got you both right where I want you!"
"Wanna bet?!" Sari asks with a grin. She then looks up at Kylie. "Quick, the hose!"
My optics widen. "Wait, what?!"
Kylie picks the hose up from the ground and gives it to Sari. "Here you go!"
I take a step back as I start pleading for mercy. "No! Not the hose! Anything but the hose!"
Sari evilly grins as she points the hose at me. "Bath time!"
I let out a shriek as I get sprayed with water. I start running away as Kylie and Sari chase after me with the hose. The three of us are laughing as they keep getting me.
"I surrender!" I screech, "I surrender!"
Just then I let out a real shriek as I trip over something. "Oomph!" I land with a thud on my front before letting out a groan.
Sari turns off the hose as she and Kylie look down at me. "You okay?" Sari asks.
"Yeah," I say. I look over my shoulder to see I had tripped over a broken piece of machinery. "Hope that was broken before I tripped over it," I say as I get back up.
"Most likely. A lot of the yard is full of broken junk," Sari says as she looks around.
She's not wrong. Everywhere are empty cans, broken down machines, wrappers, etc.
"It does look like it could use a little TLC," Kylie says.
"Not just that, but the whole factory," Sari says, "the bots have been meaning to clean it, but they've been super busy."
I look up at the factory. I remember my first thought when we arrived here was how filthy everything looks. Though with the bots having to do a lot of construction, plus Allspark fragment hunting, it makes sense they don't have time to clean up their own home.
Getting an idea, I smile.
"Then we'll have to clean this place up for them," I say.
"What?!" Sari and Kylie exclaim in unison. Both don't look so thrilled by my idea.
"Come on, it'll be a nice surprise for the guys," I say, "we can even have fun while doing it."
"Fun and cleaning don't belong in the same sentence," Sari says with a frown.
"I'm with Sari on this one," Kylie agrees.
"Come on, Kylie," I say, "we live here now, rent free mind you. The least we can do is clean up around here. Besides, pretty sure the amount of dust we have isn't good for Sari, Sumdac, and Waldorf."
Waldorf lets out a sneeze as if to prove my point.
"See? Poor guy has allergies," I point out.
Kylie looks at the building and vents. "You're right," she says, "We should show them our gratitude. But how exactly are we going to make this fun?"
Thinking of something, I smile as I look at Sari. "You still have those water balloons?"
(Time skip)
"Ready, aim, FIRE!" Sari shouts.
With the water balloons in hand, the three of us throw them at the building. Soapy water splatters from the balloons and gets all over the windows and wall as we keep firing. I end up firing a handful at once since my hands are much bigger. Still, I find it enjoyable.
Making a catapult with an oil can and a plank of wood, Sari jumps on the end of the plank, sending the water balloons at the other end flying.
Waldorf is having a blast trying to catch the balloons as we throw them at the building. Though he calls it quits when one bursts over his head, giving him a much-needed bath.
With the soap now on the building, we begin scrubbing the walls before rinsing it down. Sari uses the hose and sprays the side of the building. However, I soon notice her evilly grinning before turning the hose on Kylie.
Kylie is immediately surprised as the cold water hits her. "HEY!" she exclaims as she gets sprayed, "get the building not me!"
Sari laughs as she chases Kylie with the hose. I can't help but laugh along.
"Help!" Kylie shouts as Sari keeps chasing her, "Jacy, help!"
"Not so funny now, is it?!" I shout at Kylie.
Next, we clean the yard. Wanting to make more of a clearing, we move a lot of the stuff along the fence while throwing out all the trash.
"Come on ladies!" Sari shouts from on top the large broken machinery, "put your backs into it!"
Kylie and I push the large machine out of the way with Sari and Waldorf riding on top of it.
"Come on, look alive!" Sari keeps ordering as she pretends to be our drill sergeant again.
"Sari sure is a hard worker, don't you think?" Kylie asks me jokingly.
"Yeah, way more than us," I tease, "she deserves a break."
"Move it!" the girl continues as we keep pushing.
(Time skip)
Once the outside is done, we make our way inside and start dusting. And let me just say, this place has not been dusted in a while. The three of us are packed with dusters and rags as we dust and clean everything we can.
Sari wipes the dirt off a shelf with her rag, only for Waldorf to snatch it out of her hand and trot off with it.
"Hey!" Sari exclaims as she chases after Waldorf. "Give that back!" This results in the two having a tug of war as the girl tries to get her rag back.
Meanwhile, I fly up to the ceiling to clean off all the cobwebs. I've noticed Prowl using the beams up here to meditate once in a while. He might like it better without all the cobwebs and dust.
However, as I clean, I fail to notice the family of spiders living up here before I go face first into their webs.
"AAAAH!" I scream. I drop down and hysterically flail my arms as I try to spit out the webs. "SPIDERS IN MY MOUTH! SPIDERS IN MY MOUTH!"
Playing music from her radio, Kylie sweeps the floor while humming along to the song playing. Though the more she sweeps, the more dust flies in the air, making her go from humming to coughing like crazy as the dust cloud engulfs her.
By the time we get everything cleaned, we sweep out the rest of the dust out the front door and watch the dust cloud disappear out of sight. Kylie, Sari, Waldorf and I step out covered head to toe in brown dust.
"That wasn't so bad," I say as I dust off my servos.
Sari however sneezes, Kylie coughs out a cloud of dust, and Waldorf shakes himself off.
Next is the floor. First thing Kylie and I do is pick up everything off the floor. Anything garbage, we put in a bin. Which turns into two bins. And then three.
With the garbage cleared out, we set the bins outside before going for the seats.
"Excuse me, Professor," Kylie says as she picks up the small chair Sumdacs sitting in and places him on the table. He doesn't even notice as he meticulously works on his laptop.
Once we get the floor cleared out, we then dump soapy water all over.
I then look at Sari. 'You ready?"
With her helmet, elbow and kneepads on, Sari steps out with two large sponges tied to the bottoms of her boots. "Oh yeah!" she says with a thumbs up. She then proceeds to skate across the soapy floor, cleaning the surface in the process.
Kylie and I work around the corners while Sari has a blast skating around the room. Using a mop as a hockey stick, she hits a ball around and plays with Waldorf.
Waldorf tries to get the ball, only to find himself constantly sliding across the soapy floor. Covered in suds, he shakes it off of his coat and onto Sari.
"Hey!" the girl exclaims as the suds get all over her.
Waldorf jumps up and gives her a wet kiss as if to say sorry.
Once the floors are mopped, we work on the windows. I'm cleaning the high ones while Sari and Kylie clean the lower ones. I can't believe the amount of dirt on the glass. No wonder it always looks so dark in here. The dirt is so thick it blocks out half of the sunlight.
I can hear snickering down below, making me look to see Sari and Kylie drawing pictures in the dirty windows. Grinning, I fly out of the factory without them knowing and make my way towards the windows they are cleaning. I can hear them laughing as they make a scary face in the big window. Smirking, I leap into view behind the scary face drawing.
Both scream in terror as they jump back. I let out a laugh at their reaction as I look at them through a clean window.
"Now we're even!" I tell Sari.
Realizing its only me, Kylie and Sari laugh as they throw their rags at the window.
Soon as we clean every last window, we finish up in the training room before I notice cans of burnt orange paint in the corner.
"What's this for?" I ask Sari.
"Oh, the guys and I got it to paint the main room," she says, "we thought we would give the place some color, but we never got around to actually doing it."
Looking at the paint, I check the time. The bots won't be back for some time still. I look back down at Sari. "Well, cleanings done. Maybe it's time for a painting project."
The girl smiles big at this.
(Time skip)
With the paint cans opened and the floors and windows covered with sheets, we begin painting.
Sari stands on a lift as she paints above the tin plates. I of course work on the top part of the walls while Kylie tackles the middle.
I ended up having to dump a bunch of paint into a bin just to dip my large paint brush into the paint. Though as I lift up the brush with wet paint on it, a few drops escape and fall down below.
"Hey!"
Looking down, I see Kylie angrily looking up at me with drops of orange on her face.
I can't help but laugh. "That's a nice color on you."
Sari sees what happened and laughs along. "Brings out your eyes."
"Ha ha," Kylie dryly laughs as she wipes the paint off with a rag, "how about more paint on the walls and less on me?"
"Alright, alright. My bad," I snicker.
Waldorf thinks he's helping by parading around with a brush in his mouth. I notice this and try to take it back from him.
"Come on, Waldorf," I say as I land on the floor, "give the brush back."
He doesn't listen and runs off with it.
"Waldorf, give it!" I shout as I chase after him.
Kylie and Sari just laugh at me as I chase the dog around the room.
It took some time, but we finally manage to get the walls done. We begin cleaning up before Sari walks over with a can of red paint.
"What's that for?" I ask her.
"We just need a finishing touch," she says, "something that really shows the bots this is their home."
Telling me her idea, I smile and nod.
(Time skip)
Once the paint has dried, we place everything back to where it belongs. Sumdac is still oblivious as Kylie sets his chair back onto the floor where he was earlier. Once we tidy everything up, we step back and look at our work. We can't help but smile at the end result.
The walls look fresh with the new burnt orange paint with the clean windows allowing the sunset to shine through. The floor looks spotless and more spacious than it did before, allowing more room to walk around. The ceiling is cobweb and dust free, giving it more of a shine. We even managed to replace some of the lightbulbs that were going out. With the machinery and everything dusted and cleaned off, the place looks brand new.
"I can't believe this is the same factory!" Sari says, "it looks so good!"
"And less gloomy," Kylie says, "that paint color really helps brighten the room up."
"Also nice to get some sunlight through those windows," I say happily.
Waldorf walks over to his little bed beside the tv and plops down from exhaustion. Poor guy had a long day helping us out.
Just then we hear the sound of vehicles approaching. The bots are back!
Sari excitedly squeals as the three of us step out of sight, waiting to see the bots' expressions. We hear them braking before transforming in front of the building.
"Is it just me, or does the factory look different?" We hear Bumblebee ask questionably.
"It looks... clean," Prowl says.
"Even the yards cleared out," Bulkhead says in confusion, "are we at the right factory?"
The three of us snicker as we wait for them to step inside.
"We're back!" Optimus says as they walk in through the door. "Sorry we were gone for so long. We were-" his and everyone else's optics widen in surprise. They look around the inside of the factory in shock.
"Whoa!" Bulkhead and Bumblebee say in unison.
"This can't be our factory!" Ratchet says in disbelief.
Prowl looks down at the floor. "Wanna bet?"
The others look down at where he's pointing. Painted on the floor is a large red Autobot emblem, welcoming them home.
Chuckling at their reactions, Sari, Kylie and I step out. "SURPRISE!" we shout.
The five surprised mechs look at us as we walk over to them.
"You did all of this?" Optimus asks.
"Just thought we'd do some cleaning today," I say, "I hope it was alright that we painted. Sari says you were planning to but never had the time."
"My workspace," Ratchet says as he walks over to it. We had wiped all the grime off of the table and tidied the area up for him.
"We tried cleaning it without disturbing your organization," I tell him, "I hope that's okay."
He scans the area. "Well, everything looks like its where it should be." he gives us a nod. "I approve."
Bulkhead and Bumblebee walk over to the walls. "That really is a nice color," Bulkhead says with a smile.
"Really lightens up the room, doesn't it?" Bumblebee agrees, "you girls did a great job!"
Prowl looks up at the clean ceiling. Using his boosters, he leaps up and lands on top of one of the beams. He smiles as he uses his balance to stand up and look around. "It's even better from up here," he says.
Optimus smiles as he looks around. He then looks at us. "You didn't have to do all of this."
"We wanted to," I say, "We wanted to show our appreciation for you all letting us stay here."
"Yeah," Kylie says, "we'd still be living in a smelly old cave if you hadn't taken us in. Cleaning the place up is the least we can do."
"This is great!" Bumblebee says, "now we have more room to add more stuff! We can get a sofa right here, a surround speaker system over there, Ooh! Maybe even a mini bar over there!"
"And I can do my art in that corner," Bulkhead says as he points at the far corner.
Prowl jumps down from the ceiling. "Thank you," he tells us, "It'll be nice to meditate without all that dust everywhere."
Optimus looks down at the painted emblem.
"That was my idea," Sari says proudly, "just something to make it homier for you guys."
Optimus smiles at the three of us. "It's perfect. Thank you."
"This must have been a lot of work for you three," Bumblebee says as he walks over.
"Actually, it was kinda fun!" Sari says with a big smile, "I can't wait till we have to clean the floors again!"
Bumblebee looks at her in confusion while Kylie and I laugh out loud.
"Phew!" Sumdac says as he closes his laptop. "All done." He then notices the room as he looks around in confusion. "Did I miss something?"
And that was chapter 30! I hope you liked this chapter of the girls bonding with Sari and them surprising the bots. Just something fun I wanted to share. Next chapter will be more exciting don't worry. Hopefully I will post again soon. Until then, take care everyone! God bless!
