Chapter 2
It was the early hours of the morning when the truck stopped all of a sudden. "Why did we stop," asked Lincoln, who had just woke up from sleeping. "Well, Lincoln looks like we're out of gas," said Doctor Prower who was extremely tired from driving. This put a damper in the plan to get Lincoln back to Royal Woods as without a mode of transportation, it would take even longer to get to there
That's when Doctor Prower noticed something in the distance. It was a gas station, and this gave them hope that they would get Lincoln back to his family. As Lincoln jumped out of the back of the truck, he started to push the vehicle. When they finally made it to the gas station, they immediately pushed it by a pump, and they started to buy ten gallons of gas. Before they left, they had gotten some snacks and drinks for the road as the duo drove away. Lincoln was happy that he was going to see his family but was wondering if they still thought he was still alive.
Meanwhile, Doctor Stewart was wondering how they were going to find Project Loud since Doctor Prower disabled his tracking device when they escaped. That was when they decided to launch some hi-tech drones to scope the Nevada desert in search of the two.
Back with the duo, they were in the final stretch of crossing the border into New Mexico, when Lincoln noticed something in the distance. "Hey, Doctor Prower, what's that up ahead," said Lincoln, who was now standing in the passenger seat. "Uh, oh, They're using drones to try and find us," said Doctor Prower. "Do you want me to shoot it down," asked Lincoln. "No, I'm sure that if you do that it'll alert the other drones in the area," explained Doctor Prower.
That was when Doctor Prower stopped the car and told Lincoln to get underneath the car. when the drone passed over the car it stopped to scan it. the scan turned up negative and the the drone moved on.
Doctor Stewart saw the scan from the drone and was surprised. "This is, in fact, the truck that those two used to escape from the base. Looks like it was abandoned when they ran out gas," said the Doctor.
As the two peeked out from under the car, they saw that the drone had left the area the crawled out from under the vehicle. As they then drove off again across the New Mexico border.
