Chapter 26: The Love God
IT was almost time for the Wood Stick festival. A music festival that was popular in Gravity Falls.
Of course all of the teens were excited for.
At the Mall Darien was telling Serena about it.
"That sounds so cool!" said Serena.
"Of course." Said Darien.
They looked at each other and knew was unsaid.
That they should go together.
However that was when Sierra suddenly show up and grabbed Darien's arm.
"Hey Darien! You hear it's time for Woodstick!" said Sierra.
Darien removed her arm from Sierra.
"What are you doing?" asked Dairen.
"We should go to Woodstick together." Said Sierra, "The Love God is going to be there and he's been known to play cupid for people meant to be together! Which we are!"
"Sierra! We're not a couple… I'm dating Serena." Said Dairen.
"Why?" asked Sierra.
He didn't want to tell her the real reason… after all being soul mates wasn't something that should be shared with everyone.,.. especially a girl that could be considered his staler.
"Look… I don't like you Sierra." Said Darrien, "In any capacity!"
Sierra watched as her boyfriend finally put her foot down with her.
"We are not nor will ever together!" said Darrien.
He walked over to Serena and the two of them walked away.
"Are you okay?" asked Serena.
"I'm fine… I just should have done it sooner rather than later." Said Darrien.
"I know…" said Serena.
"It's going to be fine…" said Darrien.
"Unless she still won't take no for an answer." Sighed Serena.
Darien sighed.
"She won't take no for an answer…" he sighed.
Meanwhile at the Mystery Shack, Mabel was over a little version of Gravity Falls with dolls trying to set up Robbie with someone due to his depression.
"Mabel I don't think this is a good idea." Said Marina.
"I want Robbie to be happy though. And the best way is to get him a new girlfriend." Said Mabel.
"The reason why he lost his old girlfriend is that he literally brainwashed her into not breaking up with him…" said Marina.
Mabel raised a finger and tried to counter it.
But couldn't think of a way to counter it.
"Maybe he's been punished enough…" said Mabel, "Plus he's kind of an idiot so who knows if he knew he was really trying to brainwash him…"
Mina looked at her.
"You're still trying to set him up with someone… aren't you?" sked Marina.
"If he does it again then I will take the blame!" said Mabel.
Marina looked at Mabel and sighed.
Marina sighed… "You know what I'm going to see what Stan is doing…"
She left the room as Mabel determined that Tambry would be the best girl for Robbie.
And even had an adorable plan to set them up.
But it didn't work out as the blind date she set them up on had them bickering at the diner.
Mabel sighed.
Nearby Sierra was moping about Darien.
"Why… we're perfect together! That girl is just going to go back home…" she muttered, "He'll never see her again! Why is he in love with her! WHY!"
"Mommy… why is that girl ranting to herself?" asked a little boy walking past the table .
"Don't look at her Charlie… we have to get ready for the music festival." Said a mother.
That was when the Love God showed up.
Both Mabel and Sierra noticed that he was paring people together by just pointing at them.
Sierra looked at him and decided to listen on a conversation between him and Mabel.
She listened on the conversation with the musician who probably high or drunk considering he was telling a 12 old this stuff but the truth was that he really was a love god.
And he confessed revealing he had love potions to do his work.
However a groupie showed up wanting to get her face signed.
She saw Mabel sneak off with a love potion and she had a horrible terrible idea as she also stole a love potion.
"You'll be mine Darien…" said Sierra with an evil smile.
She went to find him.
She saw Serena and Darien together. She scowled hoping for some sort of distraction.
That was when Serena's communicator started top beep.
"Oh no…" said Serena.
She opened it and saw it was Dipper.
Who didn't seem like he was in trouble.
"Dipper… what's wrong?" asked Serena.
"Okay… you know I don't have a cell phone…" said Dipper, "So I'm using this to call for advice."
"Okay…" said Serena.
Darien looked at Serena nodded.
"Hey Darien…" said Sierra.
"What do you want?" asked Darien.
"I want to go out on a date with you…" said Sierra.
"Sierra…" Darrien practically growled out, "I keep telling you no…"
"You're going to change your mind now…" said Sierra.
She then threw the entire bottle at him and he was covered in the love potion.
Darien looked qat her .
However due to the love potion he suddenly fell in love with Sierra.
"Sierra… I never noticed how beautiful you are…" said Darien blushing.
"Really now…" said Sierra.
The two started to kiss.
Meanwhile with the Love God he suddenly felt something very wrong! He collapsed clutching his chest.
"Something is very wrong…" he said.
Then he remembered the conversation with Mabel.
"That little brat…" he hissed through his pain.
He decided to find the girl.
Back with Serena…
Serena sighed at she ended her call with Dipper, it turned out it was about whether or not he could pull off a V-Neck shirt…. He could not and her advice was for him to burn it.
That was when Serena arrived seeing this.
She was horrified at this.
"Darrien…" said Serena .
The two broke the kiss.
And Darien looked at Serena.
"I'm sorry Serena…" he said, "But I just realized how much I love Sierra."
"What?" asked Serena.
"I'm sorry Serena but I love her more than you…" said Darien.
"So shoo little outsider." said Sierra, "You're not longer his girlfriend…"
She then kissed Darien again.
Serena just numbly walked away.
"Oh I would though she would cry a lot… oh well." Said Sierra.
Darien just nodded and looked at his new girlfriend… though he did felt a wrongs. However his love for Sierra was making him ignore this wrongness.
Sometime later at the house everyone was meeting to go to Woodstick.
"So Stan is building a hot air balloon of himself to show off at Woodstick… and it's the creepiest thing I have ever seen… which is saying something." Said Marina.
"So what does he plan to do with the balloon?" asked Wendy .
"Just use it for advertising…" said Marina.
"Weird…" said Wendy.
"Eh seems like something Stan would do…" said Dipper.
Others were taping snacks onto Thompson to smuggle in snacks.
"Guys! Guess what!" said Mabel running in, "Robbie and Tambry are dating!"
"WHAT!" yelled many of the teens gather.
However before Mabel could say anything.
There was a shout of "YOU!"
That was when the Love God showed up and tackled Mabel.
"Do you have any idea on what you did!" he yelled.
"What?" asked Mabel horribly confused.
"You have thrown the Love Force out of balance! Do you know what you have done! DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!" yelled the Love God.
They got what they were just a musician.
Mabel was coughing with what happened.
"You tore apart a love that was went to finally last after such tragedy!" yelled the Love God, "You destroyed that relationship! How could you!"
"Why would Robbie and Tambry be a part of some sort of tragic love?" asked Mabel.
"Okay! What is going on here!" yelled Dipper.
"We need some explanations now!" yelled Marina.
"Princess Venus…" said the Love God.
Okay! Explanations now!" yelled Lila.
"Guys…" cried Serena showing up.
"It's you…" said the Love God.
"Darien broke up with me!" cried Serena.
"No! WHY"! yelled Mabel.
"You know her!" yelled the Love God .
"She's my sister!" yelled Mabel.
"Why would you break up your own sister!" yelled the Love God.
"I didn't use any love potion on Darien or anything! Just on Tambry and Robbie!" yelled Mabel.
"What is going on!" yelled Dipper.
One explanation later…
"Okay…" sighed Dipper once everything was explanation, "You're an actual love god…"
"Or Cherub…" said the Love God.
"And you told my sister about the love potions you use." Sid Dipper.
"Yeah…" said the Love God.
"Dude… are you on something?" asked Wendy.
"I'm a musician…" said the Love God.
"Mabel… you stole one of the love potions and used it on Tambry and Robbie?" asked Dipper.
"Yeah…" said Mabel.
"Mabel that is messed up!" said Wendy.
"I get you're worried about Robbie, but that's not the way to go about setting him up." Said Riley.
"Also he deserves to be miserable." Said Lila.
"Why did you attack me?" asked Mabel.
"Your sister relationship is part of a tragic laced reincarnation cycle that was meant to finally succussed!" yelled the Love God, "Having them unnaturally break apart it causing problems in the Love Force!"
"But I wouldn't break them up…" said Mabel.
"He just dumped me for Sierra." Cried Serena.
"Wait… I think I know what happened… Sierra probably overheard you talking about Love Portions and used it on Darien so she can finally have him." Said Amelia.
"Oh so that's why there are two love potions missing." Said the Love God.
"What are you on?" asked Wendy;.
"You don't want the answer to that…" said the Love God.
"We have to find them, fix Darien and hopefully fix this Love Force thing…" said Lila.
Almost everyone expect for the three male teens nodded in agreement.
"Is it just me or are all of you not surprised that Serena and Darien are in some of weird tragic reincarnation cycle?" asked Nate.
"No reason…" said Mabel.
"It's all in your head." Said Wendy.
"I'm psychic or did you forget." Said Riley.
"Oh right…" said Nate.
"Totally forgot…" said Lee.
"I guess that makes sense." Said Thompson.
"All right! It's obvious where they could be! To Woodstick!" yelled Mabel.
"When this over we are talking about how you love potioned Robbie and Tambry…" said Wendy.
They got to Woodstick using the entrance for Musicians.
"This is lucky…" said Dipper.
"Look! We need to fix this as soon as possible! Or else the Love Force will be out of whack for a very long time!" said the Love God.
"What is this Love Force?" asked Dipper.
"It binds the universe, penetrates us and…" said the Love God.
"So basically the Force but with Love…" said Dipper.
"I guess so…" said the Love God.
"So we just have to find Sierra and Darrien and then what?" asked Marina.
"I had to concept a very special potion… if he not doused with the potion by the time the fully sets then the Love Force will never be fixed!" said the Love God.
"And I'll never get Darien Back!" cried Serena.
" But with Princess Venus here, I think we can fix it." Said the Love God.
"Why do you keep calling Marina Princess Venus?" asked Lee.
"He's on something." Said Wendy.
"Stop calling me that… it's supposed to be a secret." Whispered Marina.
The Love God realized that those three clearly didn't know anything going and realized it was a good idea not to say anything.
So they decided to search for Sierra and Darien.
Thankfully they didn't search for long as they found the two kissing.
The rather large group flinched at the sight.
"What do we do?" asked Dipper .
"We first stop getting that to do that." Said the Love God .
Serena was crying.
"Remember this is fake… remember that." Said Marina.
"We need a distraction…" said Mabel.
Not too far away…
Stan was looking over his hot air balloon.
Soos and Hotaru were with.
"It's a shame that Marina wasn't interested in helping but this will bring in the young people…" said Stan, "I HEART KIDS!"
"This is end badly…" sighed Hotaru.
"You keep saying that!" said Stan, "Let her rip Soos!"
However the balloon got away from them… and then this happened.
"Oh no a letter ripped!" yelled Soos.
The R fell followed by the H.
"What the H!" yelled Stan.
And soon a very scary head of Stan floated above the Music Festival and people started to freak out.
"I EAT KIDS! BUT WE'RE KIDS!" yelled one of the people there.
People were freaking out… and it got worse when the balloon
"Mommy is that giant head going to eat us?" asked the young boy named Carlie.
"Yes Charlie! Yes he will!" cried his mother .
All over the Music Festival people were freaking out about the monster head.
The caused Darien to stop kissing Sierra.
"I have to go…" said Darien who despite the spell put on him still knew he had to help with what was going on.
"Why!" yelled Sierra.
"Because I have to help." Said Dairen.
"Seriously! You have to help the people!" yelled Sierra.
"But I…" said Darien.
"That love potion should have made you mine and only mine!" yelled Sierra.
"Love potion?" asked Darien.
That was when he was doused with the special anti-love potion.
"Wait… would that confession affected the potion?" asked Serena.
"Maybe… it's hard to tell in cases that mess up the love force." Said the Love God.
Darien's looked at Sierra, thanks to the potion he was doused with… and her confession he couldn't help but to sate at her in horror.
Sierra looked at the Love God.
"What! Why!" yelled Sierra, "HE was finally mine!"
"What is wrong with you?" asked Darien.
"You are mine!" yelled Sierra.
That was when Serena punched her hard.
"Stay away from him!" yelled Serena, "Just stay away!"
She noticed the others Wendy and Lila looked like they were ready to kill her.
"I will make him mine! I will find a way and will forget all about you!" yelled Sierra.
She then ran away.
"Serena…" said Darien.
"It's okay… I know." Said Serena.
She kissed him.
"Love god to the Stage! Love god to the Stage!" was an announcement.
"I got to go!" yelled the Love, "Oh and also under normal circumstances the love potion only lasts a few hours so if you're friends are still in love in love by this point, then it's real."
He then ran to the stage.
"Well that's convent." Said Mabel.
Wendy, Dipper and Nate all looked at Mabel…
Nate has a crush on Tambry which was why he joined the look.
"Let's just find them and see if they're bickering or not…" said Mina.
"Wait! What about the monster?" sked Darine.
"You mean that monster?" asked Dipper pointing at the hot air balloon.
Darien stared at the balloon.
"Whacky scheme to make money?" asked Darien realizing it wasn't something to worry about.
"Whacky scheme to make money!" said Marina.
They soon found Tambry and Robbie.
And both of them… were still in love… They were doing each other's make up happily and in love.
"It's like he said…" said Dipper, "They would be bickering by now…"
Nate sighed…
"Well at least she's not going back on the dating an ex…" sighed Wendy.
"He knows I like her… but considering it got started by a love potion I'm not even mad…" sighed Nate.
""Yes! I am the perfect match maker!" cheered Mabel.
"Mabel… this shouldn't be counted as a win…" said Wendy.
"Yeah…" said Serena, "You didn't kind of screw up…"
Mabel sighed at that.
While Sierra did lost Darien, for good considering everything she would still try to win him, even if it seemed like it was going to be a losing battle she would still try…
Also Robbie and Tambry were together and happy and despite everything it was real love which her friends managed to put aside some of their feelings about the paring and let them be…
Also Thompson got caught with food and was beaten up for it… which got a laugh from everyone…
