Spinjitzu.

A martial arts form that involves the user tapping into their inner balance while spinning rapidly, creating a tornado-like vortex of energy around themselves. It is the art of rotation, which adds force and momentum to blows. To use the art is to expel energy from one's body to form the vortex of energy, limiting the time one is able to use this art of combat. At peak physical capability Naruto was only able to sustain a tornado for about fifteen seconds, a time that Wu had said that even his students were at times lucky to reach.

Yet Neji was using what looked like Spinjitzu for over the fifteen second limit that Wu had stated was the limit. Skylor placed her knuckles into her mouth and bit down, drawing a small amount of blood.

'How is he able to able to do it for longer than a minute, unless that is not Spinjitzu? So what is it then? Some sort of chakra version that leaves the user trapped in place?' She wondered as she took her free hand to move a stray hair that had fallen across her face back to it's place tucked behind her ears. 'Or was this one od he inspirations for Spinjitzu? I thought that the first master learned from the dragons so that can't be right...'

"Hakkeshō Kaiten." Neji said with a mocking tone as he came to a stop. "While I would have preferred to wait to show this near the end of the exam, your expression of hopelessness is worth it."

Neji was right as Naruto's hands were clenched as he attempted to understand just how, how was he supposed to fight Neji? Yet even as thoughts raced around his mind, Naruto could not think of a plan. Not that he had options, but those options left him with a bitter taste. Even with his month long training with Wu to learn Spinjitzu, what was the point if Neji could do the same thing?

From above Nara Shikaku sighed as his teammates shook their heads at Naruto's clear lack of options. The head of the Nara clan could tell that Naruto wasn't willing to back down, but unless he showed off an ace in the hole that could help him get around the defense jutsu of Neji, Naruto would be out of the exam. Nara rubbed his chin as he stared at the boy. As the Jōnin Commander he had access for the grades of every one of the gennin here in the arena and Naruto's grades were the worse at a glance. Naruto's physical abilities were below average but the man knew it was because of the boy's poor diet and living conditions that made it difficult for his body to function at peak capacities. As for mental, Shikaku felt a headache form. It was clear to those who had to deal with his 'escapes' from pranks and school that Naruto had a cunning mind, only problem was that he had a lack of proper guidance to hone his abilities. He had talked a length of having the boy taken under the wing of the jonin of the capture squad to get his skilled honed...

The Hokage said no, only because he needed Naruto as a replacement D-rank mission in the village to teach Chunnin a lesson in humility and gennin how to track and capture targets after graduating. There was a party when it was replaced with the Tora missions when Naruto was asked (ordered) to stay in class more...

"Neji should have won by now, what's taking him so long?" Shikaku eyes glanced over to his friend Choza, father of Akimichi Chōji. Choza red hair and large body sometimes made the nara think he was teammates with a gorilla but he knew better. Choza was the first of their squad to become a chunin and had the smarts to give him some trouble, and yet the man had a deep distrust of Naruto. Well, it was Jinchuriki that he hated as his clan had suffered large losses during the war to hold down the two from the Iwagakure so that the med ninja could escape the ambush.

"It would seem that Naruto is a more stronger foe than what Neji thought." Choza scowl became ever more pronounced with his friends words so he pressed on. "You can't hold his burden against him forever. He is an asset to the village and a friend of our children."

"Choji should have just stuck with better company instead of a brat that claims he wants to be the Hokage yet has shown a lack of maturity."

Shikaku shook his head. "It is not his fault our children were barely able to pass the bare minimum to leave the academy."

Choza tched as he focused back on the fight below. His lack of a rely only made Shikaku wonder if his friend's anger towards Naruto ran deeper than what he thought.

Back below, Neji had enough had resumed his attacks with Naruto using a pair of kunai instead of his staff as the older was able to separate Naruto from it. Nicks and cuts appeared on his arms and jacket but Neji was not worries about such minor wounds. His fingers jabbed deep into Naruto's left wrist making the blonde hair boy scream as his hand was disabled, blood dripped down from the wound. Naruto slipped as Neji pressed on the opening, hitting the ground with a grunt before Neji's foot pressed on his throat. Choking, Naruto forced his right hand to push against Neji's foot even as black spots filled his vision. Cheers filled the arena as the audience watched with rabid attention as it seemed that the fight was now about to end.

Gambling, Naruto took the risk of using his free left aft to fling blood and dirt into Neji's eyes. Neji smiled a dark grin as he shifted his body to avoid the feeble attempt but kept his foot on Naruto's throat.

"Like a fish on a hook. Or should I have said a fox in the hunter's trap?" he mocked as he left Naruto have some air before placing the foot back down. He wanted Hinata to know that even the boy who declared to avenger her was too weak. Just. Like. Her!

'Wu said that knowing the basics would help me over flashy jutsus but how can nature chakra changing and medical chakra suppose to help me win?' Naruto wondered as he struggled. He could hear the calls for him to give up ring in his ears. Perhaps they were right. Perhaps he should-

"NINJA NEVER QUIT! YOUR A NINJA AREN'T YOU UZUMAKI! SO BEAT HIS ASS!"

Skylor's voice filled the arena sending eyes snapping towards her, even the two genin. But her words had sparked a fire in Naruto, one that gave him an idea.

"I don't know who that was, but I'm feeling fired up!" With a yell Naruto channeled chakra into his hand holding the leg. Neji let out a howl of pain as he leaped away from Naruto, sandal and foot on fire. Jumping to his own feet Naruto grimaced at the sight of his brunt and blistered right hand. Wu was right, learning to do all five basic nature transformations plus the basics of the medical palm jutsu was worth it. Fire nature applied to the medical technique plus his better than poor control?

Neji's screams were like music to his ears.

"I'll kill you!" Neji screamed as he charged Naruto, eyes dead set on defeating Naruto. Forget humiliating him. Forget that he was a fellow genin of the leaf. Naruto would pay!

Seeing the danger he was in, Naruto tried to use the last of his shuriken to keep Neji away, only for the older boy to once more reverting to use the so-called secret taijutsu to batter them away before punching Naruto's face. With a crack Naruto flew heels over head as his nose broke and upper lip cut. Neji reacted quickly by grabbing Naruto's ankles. Focusing his rage fore a moent he spun around in a pervse version of the Hakkeshō Kaiten and launched Naruto at the wall. Naruto was able to get his arms up in time but he hit hard. Cracks radiated from the impact with stone and plaster rained down on Naruto's prone form. However, Neji's leg leg gave out making the ninja fall to his knees with a hiss.

Genma clicked his tongue as he watched the dust settle. Naruto had put up a fight but it ws becoming clear that he didn't have the experiance that Neji did. With a sigh the jonin raised his hand to end it only to watch as Naruto's hand burst from the rumble holding his staff folloed by Naruto,

"Fuu fint gink wish buzz boulder?" Naruto weezed out as he wiped the blood away from his mouth.

"No. That would mean you would have the idea that fate would have been different. But you are clearly beaten. There is nothing you can do to defeat-"

"No."

Neji blinked at the solid conviction in Naruto's voice in a mix of irritation and confusion. "You-"

"No Neji-senpai. I won." Naruto gave a crooked smile as he glared at Neji. "Did you think that just because you have those eyes of yours you can't be blinded?"

"What are you saying?"

"Did you think that I just happen to lose my staff? We're ninja. You were so focused on me that you weren't paying attention to when I slipped into your pockets several explosive notes." Neji's eyes bulged to see if Naruto was bluffing only to spy sever chakra charged papers in his pockets. He was about to attempt a switch only to see that Naruto was ready with the ram sign ready.

"Dam you Uzumaki! This isn't respectable or honorable!"

Naruto blinked. "Ninja. I knew that a month of training won't be enough to defeat you but force you to focus on only me? That was something I could do."

"Yes.. A shame then." With a poof 'Neji' vanished, showing that he was only a clone as another one stepped out of the shadows of a tree. His arrogant smile on his lips as he stared at Naruto with his bloodline deactivated. "Did you really think that I would have dirtied my hands with you?"

Naruto's response was to pop a couple of solider pills he had hidden in his staff into his mouth along with a small gulp of water.

He was tired, outmatched and had his power sealed by the snake jerk that wanted his friend. His body hurt all over and yet Naruto felt more alive and himself than any other day in the exam.

-Meanwhile under the feet of the two fighters-

Pythor P. Chumsworth had seen and experienced many things. So when he suddenly found himself one moment slithering down a damp smelly sewer and the next in an esophagus, he was annoyed...

"NOOOOO! I refuse to be eaten again!"

... Yeah, the snake still had issues with being eaten by the Devourer. Also enclosed places given his history.

Pythor slammed his fist into the wall of dripping flesh only to have it get stuck. With a cry of indignantly he cursed his luck as he pulled his arm. Looking around he tried to fine a way to escape his sudden-

"Yo."

Snapping his head to look behind him, Pythor hissed before flickering his tongue at the strange human to get a sense of who he was. He was strong, stronger than those blasted ninja from Ninjago but not so much as Wu from what he could tell. The former Serpentine King, self-proclaimed general of the Anacondrai tribe was no fool. This man dangerous in more ways than one. He tasted delicious however, like fattened toads over a fire...

Jiraiya's eyes narrowed as the white scaled snake-being trapped in front of him started to drool with a glazed look over it's eyes. At first he thought he had captured a failed experiment of his former teammate that he was using to place seals all around the village to allow him to summon his forces inside of the walls. That went away when he looked more carefully. With the lack of detectable chakra and the way it reacted to being trapped this was an unknown factor. Perhaps even a new species that Orochimaru had made.

It was also clear that the snake had no idea what the coffins were. The snake was almost at the location the ANBU had asked him to check out when a pressure plate alarm was triggered. He had found the coffins with the bodies of a few of the genin from sound with an older member inside as well. He would had sealed them somewhere safe just incase, but then he had sense this snake and had moved to intercept him.

"Sate your name and reason for being here!" Jiraiya demanded as he held the jutsu.

"I am the humble Pythor of the Anacondrai tribe. But my friends call me their chum." The snake said with a grin in an attempt to use his charisma to get the man to lower his guard. Seeing no change in the man's expression, why did he look like a toad with a dead rat on his dead Pythor did not know, he went on. "Clearly I am lost so would you please be a kind sir and help me out? I am stuck and I do not like feeling having been eaten alive. Once was enough in my lifetime thank you."
