Eighteen didn't just let tears fall from her eyes, she wept almost collapsing into Kara's shoulder as her own mortality suddenly reminded her of all of the horrible things she had done, "I… I…" she didn't know what to say anymore, she'd dealt a lifetimes worth of damage and these feelings she had now, "I'm so sorry…" she muttered to her, feeling this immense guilt would drive any normal man mad luckily she wasn't ordinary by any means.

"You're… what?" Kara scoffed as she looked down at the Android who was clearly remorseful, truly, unless this was an act, this was serious.

Interrupting their thoughts, another explosion went off miles away as Cell emerged and begun his search for his target, "We're definitely talking about… that… later, for now we have to go," Kara grabbed Gohan, who had collapsed from exhaustion, and swung him over her shoulder flying off with Eighteen following behind her. They broke the sonic barrier so quickly there wasn't even a shockwave, both made their way across the hemisphere and over the ocean to get as far away from Cell as possible, leading him away from the human camps nearby the battle.

Eighteen folded her arms after almost an hour of flying, "What do we do now? Where do we go?"

Kara huffed, the sun was beginning to set once again leaving her with little to no power, running on reserves she quickly scanned a few thousand miles in the direction they were flying with her telescopic and x-ray vision, "There's an abandoned city five-hundred miles north-west of here… we can… rest there…" She tried her best to keep up but, began falling behind the Android who had only one blessing to count in her current situation, infinite stamina. After nearly an hour of moving at full speed, she was close to her destination, so she tried to power through the pain.

"Are you sure you can keep flying?"

Supergirl turned with a slight scowl, "I have to, someone… needs to keep an eye… on you."

Eighteen's expression softened, that was a logical reason to push herself but, with no real plan in mind the Kryptonian would need to rest eventually; Kara's eyes slowly drifted shut as she shook her head, waking herself realizing that she'd drifted closer to the water than she should. Even after correcting her altitude, she soon found herself losing consciousness as well, out of power and awake for over twenty-four hours with no sunlight took its toll effectively.

As she fell to the ocean where Gohan would drown at the very least, with Kryptonian's not necessarily needing oxygen, she was still vulnerable to the tides and aquatic marine-life. Before they reached the water, Eighteen glided down and grabbed them both, Kara by the collar of her suit and Gohan by the waist. Another perk of being an Android was she could travel at full speed without ever being sensed, powering up she bolted for the coast only a few hundred miles away.

As she arrived only a minute or two later and landed, she took a glance around at the abandoned streets with moss growing over buildings and turned over cars, scorch marks where buildings once stood, the towers that did stand were unkept and ready to tumble any year now. It was her, she did this and it was a totally new set of emotions that she'd never experienced before, guilt. Eighteen floated through a doorway and into a small building where they couldn't be seen from the sky.

Gohan and Kara woke almost simultaneously as the sun rose and beamed through the boarded-up windows, they were in a small room, only a thin layer of drywall separating them from the outside. The Saiyan was in the worst shape, he had broken ribs and his prosthetic was extremely low on charge, using almost all its energy to maintain his ascended Super Saiyan state. He had cuts and bruises over his body and the longer he waited the closer he was to sustaining internal bleeding.

"I was once just a normal person, ya know," Eighteen muttered as Gohan eyed Kara before returning his gaze to the cyborg whom stared up into the darkened sky, bathing in the little sunlight that did peak through the clouds, "I had a name, Lazuli, and I was going to be a nurse… Seventeen was Lapis and he was in training to be a Veterinarian, it all seems like so long ago…"

Gohan stood slowly, noticing that she had bandaged up his abdomen, "What the hell happened to you? I heard you apologize and now… this?"

Eighteen turned, "I'm not going to pretend like you can forgive what I've done but, you should know that the reason we did what we did was because Gero removed our humanity… he had it ready in his lab as an update," she chuckled as tears formed in her eyes, "Maybe he planned on putting us back to normal after Goku was killed… that's all he ever cared about… it hardly matters now, what matters is I gave myself the update. Lapis refused."

Kara folded her arms, still glancing back at Gohan apprehensively, "So, this software update of yours finally lets you see how horrible what you've done is? Everything over the last two decades?"

"I truly can't begin to understand what I've put you through, and I don't expect to live through this either," Eighteen smiled as a few birds flew off in the distance, "Put me out of my misery, please."

"Are you sure about this?" Gohan asked, "I can't believe I just asked that but, it's just shocking I guess."

"Knowing that my life was stolen from me?" She turned to Gohan with tears streaming down her face, dropping slowly onto her lap from her chin, "Worse than that, knowing that my life was stolen and used to kill billions… I can't live knowing I'm the reason."

Eighteen sighed and stood up making eye contact with Gohan, "I've lowered my durability to almost nothing…" she approached slowly over towards him, hesitating as she smiled uncharacteristically, "The sun is so beautiful at this time, before it gets smothered by those clouds, when I was little I remember my father taking my brother and I to see the sunrise just like it is now…" pausing for a moment to take in the memory before turning back to face the window, "I'm going to step outside and take a closer look."

She nodded to him, fully implying what she'd just suggested, walking out the door and stepping towards the edge of the city; surrounded by tall unkept grass, walking along the field and grazing the tops of the brush with her fingertips, she looked out into the sun as Gohan followed her out, leaving Kara inside the building. Watching that big ball of fire melt over the horizon as it rose, she closed her eyes as the Saiyan lifted his organic palm and fired a Ki blast through her head.

Kara refused to watch but, her cursed hearing allowed her to hear the shot and the body collapse; Gohan looked down at her and charged another orb of yellow Ki that shrouded his hand as a beam vaporized her body with a significant explosion. As he slowly re-entered the building, he felt not as satisfied as he thought he would be after killing Trunks' murderer but, there was one relieving feeling to it and that was that it was finally almost over.

"I can't imagine that felt as good as you thought it would," Kara muttered standing in front of the doorway as he stared more intently on the ground.

Gohan let out a sigh of relief, "One thing we can count on is finishing this today, at least."

"What's our next move?" Kara asked as Gohan keeled over in pain as he felt is ribs prodding into his internal organs.

"Cell probably… felt me use the power I needed… to completely destroy her body," he rubbed the back of his neck and coughed before cringing in pain again, "Agh," his broken ribs were tearing at his insides causing severe irritation to his inner tissue.

"We need to get you healed up but, we don't have any medical equipment around here," Kara quickly came to his aid, helping him stand up right, "And I'm not sure you have time to recover."

"Can you fly?" He asked her quickly.

Kara nodded as she supported him and walked outside into the street, facing away from the still smoldering field, trying not to think about what they had to do, "I recognize this street, we aren't too far from the original Capsule Corporation, Bulma's house," she floated up with him, as they flew at cruising speeds over the ruined city blocks, this part of the city seemed to still be mostly in-tact, "Inside there should be a rejuvenation tank, its old but, it should restore my health in less than an hour."

Kara scanned the area, looking for the insignia with her enhanced vision, spotting the large building miraculously still standing at the center of the city, however; it was still very unkept and covered in moss, mold, and overgrown grass as mother Earth slowly took back the abandoned cities over time.

"We need to strategize," Gohan stated as he coughed harshly and covered his mouth with his organic hand, when the fit of coughing ended, he looked down to see blood splattered on his skin, "And fast…"

They landed and entered the building, Gohan knew where the emergency generator was and managed to maneuver through its workings to get it operational, with just enough power to maintain life support in the med bay.

Kara helped Gohan remove his prosthetic, lying it on the table beside the healing-pod, its blue glow turned grey as it deactivated. He sat within a large silver tank with an open hatch, he was in only spandex-black briefs, holding an oxygen mask in his hands and looking up at Kara who only seemed concerned for him.

"I think I've got this figured out," He noted as he explained his plan to her while she followed instructions he'd given her earlier to program the machine, "You can use your hearing and vision to keep an eye on the building at all times, Cell will come here when he realizes the blast came from only a few blocks away, until he does you should fly out of Earth's orbit to absorb as much sunlight as you possibly can."

Kara furrowed her brow, "I shouldn't leave you so open; even the boost I got from spending over an hour in the past wouldn't have been enough, there's no way I'd gather enough energy in that time to beat Cell," She explained finishing the programming and closing a panel with a worried expression as Gohan reached out and grabbed her hand.

They locked eyes as Gohan smiled, onyx and bright-blue eyes mixing within their gaze, "You don't need to beat Cell, you only need to stall him for less than thirty minutes, this tank should have me healed and stronger than ever by then," he pulled her in closer as they whispered, "Be careful…" almost in unison.

Kara chuckled and moved in to lock lips with the Saiyan momentarily, making sure that if this were the last time they saw each other that it would count for something, placing her hand on his scarred cheek, "I love you, Gohan," she whispered as he closed his eyes and placed a hand over hers.

"I love you too," He smiled as they separated and he placed the oxygen mask over his nose and mouth, closing the hatch watching it slowly fill the tank with a glowing blue liquid; Gohan instantly felt the relief but, he was far from healed.

"Twenty-nine minutes and counting…" Kara mumbled as she exited the building at super-speeds, looking up at the dense clouds that shrouded the continent from the sun's rays; with a single leap she rocketed into the atmosphere, shattering the concrete at her feet just from the take off. At her speed, hitting the clouds created a massive hole that lead straight through to the upper exosphere. Supergirl nearly collided with an unused satellite as she flew into orbit, resisting the gravitational pull of the planet below, the sun beamed down on her with intensity that she wasn't used to, more-so than even being on Earth in the past did. Bathing her in solar energy that lined her entire body with a golden glow, distinct from a Super Saiyan yet, similar all the same, her body adjusted, and the glow was slowly absorbed into her skin.

After fifteen-minutes of keeping her eyes and ears on Gohan's recovery while simultaneously absorbing as much yellow sunlight as she could, she finally heard his approach… far too soon. Cell flew over the city from the opposing hemisphere trailing a cyclone through the ocean behind him at high speeds, "I'm coming for you, Android Eighteen!" he shouted loud enough to throw his voice for hundreds of miles.

Supergirl waited until Cell was above Eighteens grave, there wasn't a trace left of her body so, he wasn't sure what had transpired just yet. He looked around, setting his sights on the large double-c insignia emblazoned on the building just a few miles away. Kara's eyes finally snapped open as she felt Cell lock on to Gohan's feint energy signature, her pupils were bright crimson as she dematerialized with raw speed intercepting the insectoid-android at a thousand times the speed of light, before he reached Capsule Corp appearing between him and his goals.

"You again? You're just an anomaly, and an insignificant one at that…" Cell floated forwards with as much intimidation as he could muster but, Supergirl didn't back down.

She tightened her fists by her side and took a deep breath, "Android Eighteen is dead, her body destroyed," Kara shouted aggressively, "You have no reason to kill anyone anymore…"

Cell's eyes went wide, "I-Impossible…" he let the information settle as he tightened his fists at his sides, it was like receiving an error code as he suddenly lost all sight on his purpose, "No! This can't be happening! I was supposed to be Perfect!" His aura shot up around him creating a massive golden whirlwind but, as scared as she was, Supergirl didn't flinch at his display of anger.

"You're wrong!" Cell dashed forwards slamming his left fist into Supergirl's forearm which she just barely managed to defend her head with, the shockwave shook the area as she was barely able to withstand it but, surprisingly, she used her new power to quickly jab him in the face hard enough to send him tumbling backwards through the air.

"You can deny it all you want, she begged us to kill her!" Kara shouted as Cell adjusted himself, wiping his nose with no visible damage.

He chuckled, smiling sinisterly, "You misunderstand, I meant you were wrong about not needing to kill anymore!" he simultaneously charged a crimson orb of Ki in his palm firing down towards the building where he felt Gohan's feint energy slowly growing. Kara intercepted and swatted it away with two hands, sending it hurtling into the city adjacent to them, eradicating a massive chunk of the abandoned buildings with red flashes of light consuming the area briefly, "If I can't have Perfection than I will drain the power from you two and then consume the rest of the bio-mass left in Earth's population."

"Sorry but, not gonna happen!" Supergirl fired beams of heat into his chest which knocked him back through the air, into the sky as she flew in for a follow up haymaker to his chest where she'd blasted sending him further into the clouds, with another right hook to the face she parted the clouds with the shockwave as Cell split a mountain top before hitting the ground at a high velocity.

His body trenched through asphalt street until he eventually came to a stop hundreds of miles from Gohan, slowly standing up as Kara landed in front of him, winded but, not fatigued yet. Cell faced her and showed that he'd received no lasting damage, he didn't even need his regeneration as there were only scrapes across his body, "That was the only free-shot I'm going to give you," Cell announced as he powered up further, his aura resembled a Super Saiyan's with purple lightning shrouding around him.

Supergirl wasn't going to wait, letting loose a wave of heat beams that completely encompassed him, hitting him with temperatures a few thousand times hotter than the core of the sun; ceasing the blast, she flew forwards as a blurr with her right fist prepped and ready to strike. As she vibrated her fist to increase its mass, a trick she'd learned during her three years of training with Gohan, it collided with Cell's left palm.

The shockwave carved through the ground below them in an omnidirectional radius, forming a hurricane of wind pressure around them narrowing into an F-5 category tornado, simultaneously sending a vibrational concussive force out shattered windows across the city. Eradicating buildings around them for miles and tearing the landscape beneath their feet asunder. It was nearly two full minutes before the dust and rubble had settled and the violent winds died down leaving Cell's palm uninjured and unimpressed, taking a full grip on Supergirl's fist, and slowly squeezing it.

"You're substantially stronger than either Seventeen or Eighteen now which is odd as yesterday you were hardly comparable to even one of them," Cell released her hand and backhanded her with his opposing arm, sending her skidding across the leveled city. She slammed back first into a shard of concrete still standing from what was once a building, breaking them apart with the force of her impact, she landed in a pile of brick and dirt, groaning.

Cell floated up and approached her slowly, "How did you get so strong in such a short period of time, and who exactly are you?" he fired a small Ki blast into her abdomen that sent her tumbling through more rubble and smoke, landing on her back.

"Go… to hell…" she muttered under her breath as blood covered her pearly white teeth, spitting at the ground toward him. Standing up slowly, Kara regained her composure and caught her second wind, flying in for close quarters combat. Cell smiled as he dodged her relatively slow attacks, she tried for a right-left-hook combination but, he just maneuvered around her effortlessly.

Supergirl shouted and leaped forwards only to be stopped by a blast of energy from the palm of his hand that sent her back for miles into a canyon, stacking an explosion on top of it. Thousands of tons of rubble collapsing on top of her, she was trapped in the darkness, trapped beneath too much weight for her injured body to lift in this position.

"I guess that's all she had in her," Cell said to himself but, Kara could hear him perfectly even from beneath the boulders, "With her bio-energy added to my own, I'll be strong enough to stop Son Gohan, and with his energy I just might stand a chance."

Kara's eyes flashed crimson as she forced herself to push through the pain, vaporizing the boulders pinning her down and floating up where vicious trails of crimson heat flowed from her eyes, clearly enraged, "Stand a chance against who?!" she rushed in with a left-straight punch that made contact, knocking Cell back a few feet before being uppercutted by a petite fist with enough strength to collapse a star.

Cell was hurtled upwards until he used his Ki to stop his momentum, wiping his lip and noticing a small droplet of blood, "You wouldn't believe me even if I told you!" Stretching out his palms, he rapid fired energy blasts down at the city below which would inevitably destroy Capsule Corp.

Kara zipped from one spot to another, using her incredibly advanced alien brain to calculate the trajectory of every blast, deflecting and redirecting every attack that threatened the facility and its surrounding area. She did this and advanced upwards towards him until she front-kicked his hands, redirecting his line of fire and giving her enough time to take in a long, deep, inhumane breath of air.

Cell recoiled as Supergirl perched her lips and let loose a hurricane-force of wind pressure so cold that it encased his entire body in ice; she took this opportunity to appear above him and strike him with all of her strength in the chest, sending him back thousands of feet into the ground, this time only a few dozen blocks from Gohan. She took another deep breath and exhaled a blizzard, layering an entire city block in arctic weather piling snow on cars and freezing entire buildings solid, including the crater Cell had landed in.

Kara took a few steps back and placed her hands on her knees, huffing as she wiped the sweat from her brow, she had used nearly all of the excess power she'd just received already and was now was weaker than even a single android.

In only a few minutes, the ice suddenly flashed crimson as an explosion engulfed the entire city block from below, leveling the buildings she'd frozen completely. Floating up in the dome of energy was Cell, a small trickle of purple blood stained on his lip was the only thing she had to show for all her efforts.

"I'm just getting started!" Kara shouted, knowing full well she was at her limit, "I'm warning you; I don't want to kill you!" Another lie but, she needed to buy time… it would only be a few minutes now until Gohan was fully healed.

Cell frowned, landing on the street where the ice had melted, and approaching her without fear, "Interesting, considering your energy just dropped like a rock," Kara took a step back nervously, almost forgetting that unlike the Androids, this biological menace could sense power levels, "I'm calling your bluff!"

Kara was prepared to attack but, before she could jump into action, an energy projectile hit the back of the semi-completed bio-android's head; Cell turned around and narrowed his eyes, "Hey! You overgrown cockroach! Up here!" with her impressive eyes, Supergirl spotted a blue-haired woman wielding a large bazooka-esque cannon over her shoulder coupled with minor battle-armor over her shoulder-blades and chest as well as a guidance-system over her right ear and eye resembling a scouter.

"B-Bulma?!" Kara stuttered in surprise as she fired another projectile, this time the beam was intercepted by Cell's hand covering his face, the explosion did nothing but cover her escape from the abandoned high-rise balcony.

"Perhaps absorbing the greatest mind on Earth will be useful as well…" Cell turned to Kara who still had her defenses up, "Pardon me a moment," the DNA he shared with Freeza gave him the over confidence Kara needed but, she was powerless to defend against a single handed Ki blast that hit her forearms and sent her back through the leveled city until she collided with a still standing building, miles away.

Bulma watched the structure collapse on the Kryptonian as she reloaded her cannon, within an abandoned hotel room, she moved to a rotten mattress where a silver trunk of ammunitions and weaponry laid open giving her easy access to an entire arsenal. Turning back to the balcony, she looked through the scope on her eye and found the area empty, "Looking for me?" Cell floated into her line of sight from below with his arms folded.

Bulma dropped the cannon and backed away carefully, slowly into the room from the balcony as Cell followed, "I was expecting to wake up with the world under Gero's dominion, not some barren wasteland," as he floated closer to the room, she became more confident, "Suffice to say, a mind like yours is a sight for sore eyes around here."

She only cleared her throat to respond, "Thanks… I think…" as Cell floated forwards, he encountered something he couldn't have seen which electrocuted him intensely with a unique energy, "It was my mind that came up with the idea for the meta-physical entanglement web you're trapped in; it grabs hold of your Chi and doesn't let go."

He struggled in place for a moment, tightening his muscles as he tried breaking free, Bulma took her time taking apart and reassembling a weapon from the trunk; "I don't know who you are exactly but, I do know that you were made by Gero and that you were trying to hurt my family."

Cell said nothing, only grunting in response as his jaw wired shut, he put more effort into struggling but, it wasn't enough just yet, "I just wanted to say this isn't personal; that web will only hold you for another minute but, I only needed enough time to do this," Screwing on the barrel to a long rifle with several nodes exuding sparks of purple electricity, the scope aimed right for the creatures heart.

"Bang."

Kara vaporized the rubble above her with a blast of heat vision and stumbled out of the ruins of the building slowly, heavy breaths muffled by her arm as she coughed through the thick layers of dust and drywall. It took only a few seconds to adjust, at which point she scanned the area and found Cell floating stationary in front of Bulma, suddenly; there was a crack in the sky as if someone had fired a sniper rifle into her ear-drum, covering her ears she noticed a bright blue beam of energy shooting across the sky.

Next thing she knew, Cell was falling back first from ten stories up, hitting an abandoned car and crushing it under his three-hundred pound body; Kara dashed over as Bulma pulled her head over the guard-rail to look down on her handy work, "Hey! You need to get out of here! Now!" Kara shouted up at her, even as she noticed a hole the size of her head in his right-pectoral, she knew he wouldn't stay down for long.

"What?" Bulma shouted back at her without super-hearing to aid her, "Did I get him?!"

Cell's eyes snapped open, speaking directly to Kara standing only feet from him, "I'm afraid she didn't…" he reached out faster than she could react, taking her by surprise and gripping her ankle, before swinging her face first into the building Bulma set up in. His chest regenerated, reforming his heart, and sealing the wound instantly; Bulma lost her balance as the trunk of weapons shook off the bed and Kara's body was used to remove any supporting pillars the structure had below. Cell smiled before turning on a dime and launching Supergirl like a ragdoll across the city and into the portion of buildings that were still standing miles and miles away.

Cell watched as the building imploded with Bulma still inside, "I suppose I don't need her intelligence, it seems like too much effort to save her only to devour her essence," he folded his arms across his chest and waited as the tower came down in front of him, however; he wasn't expecting a surge of speed to fly passed him and into the building before it had collapsed, "What the-" He blinked and looked around as he spotted a familiar black haired fighter, sporting a signature orange turtle Gi, and a fully charged prosthetic glowing neon blue, "How could he have gotten passed me without me noticing?"

The building came down entirely behind him as Cell glared up at Gohan; Bulma clung tightly, slowly opening her eyes as she realized she was saved at the last microsecond, "Is that really you, Gohan?" He looked the same but, he also seemed like an entirely different person, she couldn't sense power levels and yet she could literally feel the energy radiating off him in waves.

"I'm fine, my Gi is a little soggy from that old rejuvenation tank though," the prodigal son kept his eyes glued to Cell as he floated down to the ground in a straight line, with the biological creature following suit

"So, that's where you've been!" Bulma announced as they landed, "I tracked your prosthetic to this location but, when I got here the fight was already going on," she had never been so happy to feel the ground beneath her feet before, finally letting go of and stepping behind the Saiyan warrior, "I guess it's a good thing I brought my arsenal capsules."

Kara spotted them as she reset her dislocated shoulder and stepped out of the rubble, again, wiping a trickle of blood from her brow and nose as she floated off the ground and slowly approached Gohan from behind, "Finally! I thought you'd never get here…"

He let go of Bulma's waist as he turned to Kara, "I want you to take Bulma and head back to base," Gohan announced breaking eye contact with Cell's viscous glare to meet eyes with her, "I'll handle it from here, you've put in your fair share," he reached up and wiped a trickle of blood from above her left-eye, cringing slightly in response to his touching her wound.

Supergirl glanced back at the enemy before returning to look at the Saiyan warrior who turned to only half face her, "Are you sure you don't want to go at him together? I can still-" without warning, Gohan's hair gained a static charge, briefly floating up before returning to its normal style but, what was most bizarre was witnessing the unused traffic lights and lampposts in the ruined city suddenly exploded simultaneously.

"I can handle him alone, it's finally time I finished what the androids started all those years ago," He tightened his fists by his side, feeling the energy pumping through his veins and strengthening his every muscle, "Go now and I promise this will all be over soon."

Cell chuckled before breaking out into hysterical laughter, going as far as to slap his knee, "You may have gotten a bit stronger but, you don't have what it takes to destroy me…"

Supergirl nodded and grabbed Bulma by the hand, beginning a sprint in the opposite direction of the battle, gathering enough stamina to for her flight; Cell narrowed his eyes, "And you certainly can't stop me from doing this…" aiming an open palm at the escaping heroes, a purple energy orb formed, collecting enough energy to wipe out an entire mountain-range.

"Hagh!" in the blink of an eye, even from Cell's perspective, a golden explosion blinded him as he felt a tight grip on his arm very suddenly cutting off his Ki as the attack he prepared vanished and Supergirl managed to fly away with Bulma in hand. Gohan had transformed into a Super Saiyan, now having recovered from near death, his body was more powerful than it had ever been. Charging a vast golden aura around his own reptilian skin much like Gohan's power, Cell increased his strength until he was able to force his arm away from the Super Saiyan. Holding his wrist in aggravation, it was clear Gohan had let him go once he felt Kara leave their relative range.

Cell had to power up nearly to his full strength just to break his hold over him; perhaps this Saiyan boost of gaining incredible strength after recovering from near death was nothing to sneer at.

"I see you've returned to finish me off, is that right?"

Cell backed away still holding his wrist as Gohan turned his head and made eye contact with him, his blazing turquoise glare said he meant business, "The time of Doctor Gero's mechanical monsters wreaking havoc on this Earth is over!" His aura exploded around him as his power increased with it, he shouted at full volume as he charged forwards elbowing his opponent in the chin and sending him through the leveled city, his back hitting a slab of concrete. Gohan followed this up by right-hooking him through the concrete and into the rubble of yet another building.

Cell flew out of the building with intense speed, surprising Gohan with a knee-strike to the gut, grasping his leg to pull the knee from his abdomen; Cell took the opportunity to spike with both hands onto the Saiyan's back, flinging him into the ground, "I'm no weakling, underestimating me is a mistake you wont live to regret!" Gohan flew up and dispersed his aura as he uppercutted the creature in the chin but, was ill prepared for a counterattack so quickly as Cell chopped his throat and they both retreated hundreds of feet.

"I understand your frustration but, you must hear me ou-" Gohan recovered quickly and materialized in front of Cell as he floated, grabbing him by the neck with his prosthetic arm and choking him before he could say another word; his anger kept boiling as he sent a powerful jab into the creatures solar plexus. Knocking the wind out of Cell was enjoyable but, this needed to end quickly, "I'm going to finish you off now," Gohan charged his Super Saiyan aura as it grew a tad larger and brighter around him than usual with a blue energy orb forming between his palms, "Ka, Me, Ha, Me…" shinning between his fingers, it was finally the end.

"SOLAR FLARE!" Cell using a last-ditch effort managed to dodge the beam that fired through the city, as Gohan redirected it up into space, Cell reappeared behind the blast as the Saiyan attempted to regain his sight.

"Damn!" Gohan exclaimed as a thick foot hit him in the upperback from behind, the force of several planets sending him face first into the ground, carving a trench with his face as the melee was followed by several crimson Ki blasts to his back that kept him pinned to the ground.

"I told you I needed you to listen!" Cell shouted as he continued to fire bolts of Ki until he charged a larger orb into both hands as a finale which resulted in an even larger explosion. As the energy died down Cell huffed floating back down to the edge of the crater, landing as Gohan rose from the smoke with his Gi torn and a few scrapes on his face and back.

Coughing into his hand, he noticed blood splattering into his palm, "That hurt you know," he closed his fist, tightening his grip on his blood as he crushed the molecules down to their base elements, his anger had been building this entire time but, he felt as though the wall between ascensions was getting thinner, "I don't know how accommodating I'll be to listen to you… Now that you've made me angry!" He exploded in a rage of golden light with bolts of blue electricity cascading across his luminescent aura, his hair spiked further and grew almost an entire inch as he ascended to Super Saiyan 2; he realized the stronger he became, the longer he trained, and the more often he used it, the easier transforming into this new form would get. He rocketed out of the crater with a golden trail following him, although, to Cell he was a blur and a golden light elbowing him in the face and sending him into Gohan's crater.

"I see… now," Cell sputtered as blood came spilling from his mouth, "You're the Earth's best hope, not me," Gohan landed in the crater with a shout, his aura sent out gusts of wind that cleared the area of smoke.

"It's time I end this, seriously this time," the unrivaled warrior swooped in and roundhouse kicked Cell in the neck, snapping it and sending him toppling across the landscape until eventually sliding to a stop, struggling to breath. It didn't help when Gohan materialized next to him effortlessly kicking through his body, cleaving him in two with a single swing of his leg. He could feel the Super Saiyan electricity jolting him every time Gohan made physical contact.

His lower half exploded as his upper half landed in a heap, bleeding profusely creating puddles of purple blood; he was trying his best to regenerate but, this type of damage is difficult to recover from without the boost his Perfect form would have provided but, Gohan waited as he spouted legs and thighs. Struggling to stand, he felt Cell's power level dropping significantly the longer he fought, this battle was over.

"Alright, I'm done messing around;" Charging a powerful surging aura, he cupped his hands and charged the Kamehameha wave, "I'm going to eradicate every atom in your body, there'll be nothing left to regenerate from," the blue orb of energy suddenly dissipated a bit, "But, now that you know you're going to die no matter what… what were you trying to tell me?"

Cell smiled, coughing up a bit more blood before finally standing up fully, "The Androids were Gero's plan to dominate the Earth, I was created for another purpose, a failsafe if you will."

"So, you were created to be Geros ace in the hole if we defeated his Androids?" Gohan blinked slowly lowering his attack.

"No," he answered, "You could never have defeated the Android's, had Gero not failed in controlling Seventeen and Eighteen, he would have had them kill you ages ago; you only lived this long because your enemies were childish fools."

Gohan scoffed, swiping his hand through the air, "So? What were you a failsafe for?"

"Doctor Gero ran trillions of calculations and discovered that there would be another threat, one much more sinister than myself or the Androids… if this threat ever arrived I was to be activated to assimilate them and assume my Perfect form," Cell closed his eyes, sighing, "It seems fate has sided with you, you are Earth's defender now, all I urge you to do is protect Earth; Gero may have made me a killer and a monster but, I believe you are the perfect choice for the planets defender."

"It's too bad you're a sociopathic maniac, I could use more defenders of Earth," Gohan cupped his hands by his side and charged energy through his prosthetic, "Ka, Me, Ha, Me…" as the energy grew to proportions that staggered even Gohan himself, "HA!"
