Dabura smiled as he pulled on the white collar of his blue Gi, he was completely under the influence of Babidi's magic as it was visible within his snake-like eyes. Manipulating the evil in his heart to brainwash the king of demons into nothing more than a pawn was the Wizard's specialty, "It is quite impressive, Master, soon the time to release the most powerful Majin will be at hand," he watched Babidi approach a circular-port on his floating crystal-ball which he inserted the radar's syringe into, injecting all of Kara's drained power into the well that was Buu's containment sphere.
"Once I get him to full power, I can use the spell to summon him from his slumber; to have the two most powerful slaves in the Universe at my fingertips," his thoughts of grand inter-galactic conquest were vast in ambition but, he was determined to make it reality, "I will be untouchable!" he cackled as the meter on Buu's shrine sprung up to half-capacity, bolts of energy cascaded across the organic sphere that allegedly contained the terrifying king of the Majin. It shook once receiving the power, vibrating so thoroughly the entire ship suffered the same violent shaking, before soon settling back down to a neutral state. Debris fell from the ceiling around them.
"I see," Dabura blinked in astonishment and rubbed his goatee with a pensive stare, "If that's the case, why do we not summon him now and deliver him the power once he awakens?" he figured surely Buu would still be formidable at half-strength, which was entirely true, though his boss didn't seem to agree.
"Are you an idiot!? or just slower than I expected?" Babidi shouted in response, flailing his arms in aggravation, "If I summon him before he's fully prepared, he won't be at full strength… it needs to be perfect! It needs to be exactly as my father instructed!" the creature chattered as Dabura let a sweat droplet roll down his temple, he never would have let anyone talk to him this way but, this magic that twisted his mind was far too powerful.
"Of course, Master Babidi…" he could only manage to mutter in response, reluctantly.
…
Metropolis
Kara cracked her neck as Gohan's prosthetic pinged the location of Babidi's hideout, a small rural area off the coast of what was once Pepper Town, several thousand miles away from their current location. Powergirl being a tad impatient, turned to glance up at her boyfriend, "How many Senzu did Bulma manage to get this time?" she asked.
Gohan memorized the general area on the holographic map projecting from his gauntlet before dispersing it, knowing he could refer back to it later if need be. Facing Kara with a less than enthusiastic expression, he sighed with a disappointed frown, "Unfortunately, only two and you just ate one, without Korin we only barely have the means to make just a handful at a time, and it takes weeks."
Kara took a step forwards, reaching her suited hand out to clasp his warm organic palm, he felt the warmth beneath the fabric of her suit forcing a small smile out of him, "Well, at least you get to cheat death just one more time today, right?" She joked a bit trying to lighten the mood but, something seemed off about him, he was unusually down trot "Is everything alright?" she squeezed his hand a bit to get his attention.
Gohan glanced down into her pools of ocean blue that sparkled in her eyes like gems, returning the gesture by intertwining her fingers with his, "Yea, it's just… I don't know… I feel like there's something terrible coming but, I just don't know what yet," looking away from her and out at the desert again where he felt a feint disturbance somewhere.
Kara reached her free hand out to caress the chiseled features of his jawline, gliding her thumb over his cheek, "You're always so worried, I'm sure this is just another two-bit freak who doesn't realize the apocalypse is over," she tried her best to make him feel less tense but, he had been so traumatized over the decades that it was hard to feel safe anywhere or when.
Kara floated up into the air without him, dragging his arm up slowly as an invitation to join her in the sky, "Maybe I'm just being paranoid?" Gohan took hold of her other wrist as he floated up with her. They both drifted closer to the other until their arms extended out to either side, leaving room for their faces to gravitate together. Their lips were magnetized as they felt the passion, even as they drifted slowly upwards hundreds of feet into the air approaching the artificial clouds. He was about to let his guard down for a brief moment, so that their lips could meet and he could have peace of mind, then suddenly his eyes shot open as his senses picked up on something most definitely attempting to hide itself.
Gohan stopped himself mid-air only inches from Kara's face, pulling back as she too fluttered her eyes open again, only to find him staring off at an alleyway off the side-street. He felt a sudden jolt in his senses that gave him goosebumps, something on the ground with them was powerful enough to wipe out Freeza a thousand times over, which wasn't too impressive compared to him at this point but, he'd never encountered anyone else with that type of power aside from his own girlfriend, who he could sense clearly in front of him. Beyond that, there was something terrifyingly heavy about this particular chi, as if it existed on another plane of reality entirely, only barely picking up on it himself.
She watched as he blinked with a pensive expression, "What is it?" Kara announced herself as she turned to face the alley Gohan had his gaze fixed on, "Do you feel something?" she used her x-ray vision to peer through the walls spotting two individuals cloaked in darkness, she raised a brow as she noticed them look directly through the wall into her eyes.
"Someone's been watching us," Powergirl stated blatantly as, almost on que, from the shadows of the alley they emerged floating a foot off the ground with their hands politely positioned behind their backs. They were both dressed in unique ancient-looking garbs that neither of them recognized from any nation on Earth, past or present. The first of them was only about five-foot-three inches but, the chi emanating from him was the most powerful of the two, sporting light-purple skin and a white haired mohawk. His eyes were as black as a Saiyan's but, that was where the similarities stopped aside from being a bipedal humanoid alien. The second of the two was much bigger and appeared to be buffer and bulkier however, Gohan didn't feel the same thickness that came with the first one's energy. He felt less powerful with burgundy skin and white long hair down to his waist, he held his hands passively behind his back. As he sensed the two out, he was surprised to find that they were both in fact thousands of times stronger than even King Cold's transformation.
The short one narrowed his eyes into thin lines with a creepy smile, approaching to speak with them as Gohan landed down in front of the two, "Very perceptive of you, my name is Shin, nice to meet you formally," Powergirl followed his lead landing behind him and folding her arms over her bust with a suspicious glare.
Gohan was staggered as he stood staring at the man who approached with the taller alien following close behind as though he were an attendant of some sort. Gohan couldn't get the shorter man's energy out of his head, it was mind boggling in texture he had never sensed anything like it, not even from Cell's transformation. It was hard to define because while knowing he was no stronger than perhaps Cell's Imperfect Form, prior to absorbing Seventeen, he still felt more than intimidated by it and it was as if the weight of several planets were placed on his shoulders without warning anytime he tried too deeply to sense out this stranger's chi.
"W-Who are you?" He cleared his throat and looked the shortest in the eyes, "Who are you really?" Gohan stuttered catching Kara's attention as she had never heard him stutter against an enemy, not even the androids. She'd also never really seen him this spooked before, even while facing down world-ending biological insect cyborgs. A drop of sweat uncharacteristically fell down his brow, dripping across his cheek, he was the most powerful person she had ever met by far and he was one step away from out-right shaking in his boots.
Powergirl squinted with concern, looking between Shin and Gohan suspiciously, reaching out to place a comforting hand on his shoulder, "I haven't learned much about sensing energies but, he doesn't feel very strong at all to me, neither of them do," she noted glancing back at the odd man who kept his unsettling grin aimed at them.
Shin turned his gaze to her instead of Gohan, not answering his question, "I may not be as powerful as a Kryptonian, Kara Zor-El, but I learned a thing or two about fighting over the last few dozen millennia," this shocked her as she would have gasped had she not felt the comfort of Gohan standing between them, taking a calm breath, she refocused. Now he was talking about things no amount of stalking could possibly tell anyone, how could he have known about her birth race? How could he be over tens of thousands of years old without seeming to age?
Gohan took a step forwards pulling from her grasp but, still remaining in front of Kara instinctively protecting her from this nerve-racking foe that simply confused him, "Tell me who you really are and what you're doing here; someone with your distinct features would be catalogued in Oracle's databases."
"As I said," Shin returned to his grinning expression again, this time with a more genuine smile, "Perceptive. You know of the King Kai who watches over this Northern quadrant of the living Universe?" he mentioned casually though, as far as Gohan was concerned, King Kai was as close to God as he had ever known. Gohan nodded reluctantly recalling stories he had been told by his father and Piccolo about the birth of the KaioKen technique, slowly gulping as Shin continued, "I hail from a realm far above the Other World where the Kais operate; I am what you would know as a Supreme Kai; this is my attendant, Kabito," he allowed his companion to emphasize his point due to leaving Kara and the Saiyan in total baffled silence.
Clearing his throat with a smug expression of superiority, Kabito explained with a certain patronizing attitude their status, "The Supreme Kai supervises the stability of the entire living Universe as well as the Kai's themselves that look after their individual quadrants," He explained in greater detail for them, his deep bellowing voice sounding incredibly authoritative, "You two have recently taken up the mantel of Earth's Guardians upon the Kami Lookout, yes?" he confirmed even more sensitive information that he shouldn't be aware of.
Gohan nodded again, realizing that there might be more truth to their identity than he first thought which would explain their odd Ki signatures, stepping away from Kara as he figured they weren't going to senselessly attack, "We have, but we have no attendant and I have little knowledge on the secrets of the Lookout," he closed his eyes in a bit of shame, glancing down at his boots, "We're still learning."
Shin closed his eyes with a chuckle before opening them to glance back at the couple, "In due time, I'm sure you'll figure all of that out; your energy has sensed my divinity which is the reason for that uneasy feeling that you're curious about," he explained, "I posses what you might call God Chi."
Gohan narrowed his eyes, he had never heard of such a thing, an energy source beyond the state of Super Saiyan Ki? "It caught me off guard, though, it isn't necessarily strong but, still… intense," He looked down to his quaking hand and tightened his organic fist, shaking the feeling away as he took a breath, "I'm passed that now, if you are who you say you are, than what are you doing here on Earth?" The Universe was a big place and there was no good reason for them to be on such a small planet at the edge of the known reality.
Shin answered without hesitation, keeping a widened grin that he was sure would help them feel less unsettled but, had the polar opposite effect on them, "You have some information on that arm that I'm quite interested in," Shin punctuated his sentence by pointing at Gohan's prosthetic, "We're on Earth hunting an evil wizard we already see you've encountered…" he turned his glance to Powergirl who squinted at him before turning her gaze up to Gohan's.
Kara slowly lowered her hands and grazed her fingers over her skin which was visible through the hole in her suit where her gaping wound once was, "If you knew I was in trouble, why didn't you help me?" she asked in frustration, recalling the agony of having every last cell of energy drained from her body.
Kabito sneered and folded his arms, "You are a simple mortal, we are only on this plane of existence to stop this wizard from unleashing a primordial evil of unparalleled power," he gave her a short smile almost taunting her, "You were simply collateral damage."
Gohan frowned, the lining in his prosthetic beginning to luminate neon blue energy, "She's a person, no life is disposable, for a sacred being I figured you'd know that."
Kabito growled, "And if you were a deity, you would know that there are far bigger things at stake here than your petty harlot!" as he referred to Kara as basically a prostitute, Shin noticed a teal spark of color flood his regularly black Saiyan eyes, his muscles tightening.
Shin gave Kabito a quick sharpened glare, clearly not approving of his degradation of them, turning his attention back towards Kara, "Apologies, what he means to say is, I was going to restore her health and energy before I saw you arrive, which is the only reason you saw us at all," they both settled down, not that Kabito stood a chance to begin with, he too stepped back.
Gohan loosened up a bit, letting down his growing aura, his eyes returning to their natural shade, "Your plan was to follow us to the wizard's hideout and… then what?" He speculatively folded his arm over his prosthetic, waiting for their plan.
Kabito placed his hand to his chin, staring off in the direction their enemy was located in a pensive state, "Survey the area, we must be mindful to avoid Babidi's attention less he teleports to another planet entirely," he caught their attention at the mention of his name.
Kara tilted her head, brushing some of her short blonde hair behind her ear out of habit, "Babidi? Is that the wizard guy?" she asked.
"Indeed," Shin answered, staring off recalling horrific memories from thousands of years past.
"Well," Gohan noted as he stretched his organic arm, "You can do that if you like but, that isn't how I do things," as he reached out and gently intertwined his fingers with Kara's, he floated back up into the air several feet slowly, "It's not how we do things, we don't sit around and watch until something goes wrong to fix it… I've tried that and it took twenty years to figure out it was the wrong call," Gohan pulled Kara along who floated closely behind him, backing his call regardless of her standpoint, he was her man. "We strike preemptively, before disasters, it's how we prevent tragedy," they were prepared to leave when the Supreme Kai somehow instantaneously teleported from his spot on the ground to intercept them in the sky.
Shin had stumped them briefly, never having encountered a technique like that, with no speed involved, one instant he was behind them and the next, in front of them, "This new threat is not something you could possibly handle without our knowledge, the wizard Babidi will be the least of your problems if you allow him to set Majin Buu free!" Even he sounded terrified, and he was supposed to be a Lord of Lords, a deity with enough power to far surpass the androids, warned him of yet another unstoppable threat.
Kara didn't know what to say or how to respond, simply ready to support Gohan's call no matter which decision he made, in these situations he was best at making the tough calls.
A tense silence filled the air, Gohan turned back and let go of Kara's wrist but still not totally buying into what they were selling just yet. He was now aware of their status but, if they allowed humanity to suffer for so many years without acting than he found no reason why they should have the right to dictate how he protects the Earth. "God's who allowed my planet to fall to ruin and billions of lives to suffer? I'm not sure you deserve our help; we'll defend the Earth on our own." Though, something about that name shook him in a way he didn't know was possibly, perhaps it was the reason they were syphoning energy from Kara.
"Who is Majin Buu?" Kara asked before out-right turning and flying away.
Shin closed his eyes and tightened his fists as the many memories of fighting off Buu flashed before his eyes, the comrades he lost and friends he would never see again, all thanks to the incarnation of evil itself, "There were once five of us Supreme Kai but, they were all slaughtered by Buu single handedly; nobody truly knows of his origin, he's existed since time immemorial and represents pure chaos."
Kabito chimed in with even more exposition, trying his best to justify their presence on Earth and the significance of their mission, if only to outline how unsuited they were to handle it, "He spends incredibly long periods of time in hibernation, lying dormant for millions of years until, a wizard named Bibidi learned of an incantation that can awaken Buu from his slumber at will."
Shin spoke up again, folding his arms with a serious expression, "I understand you once dealt with an android of unusual power named Cell, I can tell you with certainty that Majin Buu could have annihilated a hundred of him with a single hand. He is not to be underestimated." Shin put as much emphasis on the danger this new threat presented to them as he could, though it had been so many years that even Kara felt she could handle a being as powerful as Cell now.
Kara gave Gohan an anxious glance as they heard explanation after explanation, a lot of information to take in all at once but, she still felt confident in her own strength, "While his ability to manipulate evil hardly works on someone as powerful as Majin Buu, Bibidi was able to aim him like a weapon wiping out an entire Galaxy in a mere day," Shin looked up into Gohan's eyes with a serious glare, "Believe me when I tell you that if Majin Buu is released from his hibernation, all is lost, not just for the living but, for us Kai as well."
Staring pensively at the God before him pleading for his help, not fully understanding the severity of the situation just yet, "So, you want us to help you stop them, is that it?" Gohan asked bluntly rubbing the back of his neck and stretching his arm a bit in the process; the two deities gave each other a glance before nodding as the Saiyan chuckled a bit, "Fine but, we do this my way…"
Supreme Kai shook his head, "You can't simply blast your way into the ship, that much damage will also awaken Buu from hibernation as effectively as the spell," Kabito explained condescendingly.
Kara getting, irritated and impatient, spoke up, "Well, what bright ideas do you have?" she was glaring at the taller Kai with such intensity he might've just burst into flames had Gohan not spoken up.
"They clearly have some way of detecting large surges in power, right?"
"Correct," Shin answered with a smile, "Babidi is in need of such power to fuel the incantation."
Gohan punched the inside of his hand as he took a look back out at the desert, "Then I'll create a surge that draws them out of the ship myself… shouldn't be too difficult," he glared out into the distance, his Saiyan genetics urging him to fight while his human half kept him cool and collected.
"Let's hope you're right, because if Babidi manages to fully revive Majin Buu than all hope is truly lost for this Universe…" Leaving them with this ominous note, Gohan charged a thick, clear aura of ki and nodded to Kara simultaneously taking off towards the nearest security gate with Kabito and Shin following closely behind.
"Are you sure about this, sir? Bringing mortals into the affairs of the gods is highly unorthodox…" Kabito reminded his superior who kept a genuine smile as they flew after their new comrades.
Shin chuckled a bit, having a perfect intuition about things of this nature, "I have a good feeling about them, especially the man, he has great power amongst even greater potential, I can tell…"
After exiting the security gates, they were able to let loose and take off at full speed, still being tailed by the Kais.
It wasn't long before they were flying thousands of feet above the site of Babidi's ship, all four of them being capable of light speed travel allowed them only a second or two to casually cross continents. Gohan summoned the hologram from his mechanical forearm confirming the coordinates sent in by Bulma from the Lookout before descending towards the location.
"This is it, you guys take cover over by that formation," Gohan shouted as he pointed out at a cliffside above them before turning to face the opposing side of the massive ravine the ship had been generally well hidden in, "I'll create the surge from right over there," pointing to the opposing cliff, "I'll be hidden so they'll probably come looking for the source…"
"Understood, good luck," Shin announced as he narrowed his eyes down at the ship, "Babidi's magic is powerful but, what you truly need to worry about are his generals, the three strongest of his slaves. They are among the most vile and terrifying creatures ever to exist," Shin was speaking literally but, Gohan chuckled already being reminded of the blunt honesty of Oracle, having already placed tremendous weight on his shoulders, this was no help.
"Thanks, I'll keep that in mind," he rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly before turning away.
Kabito scoffed as he followed his superior down to their hiding spot on the cliff, "You should, for a mortal like you, these beings will tear you apart," his rude demeanor was annoying enough but, it wasn't something he could focus on.
Ignoring his comment, Powergirl floated towards Gohan slowly, approaching with her arms out and taking his hands, "Are you sure you don't want me to at least cover you?" She looked up into his dark eyes as he stared back down at her, her shimmering eyes always made him want to melt when he had to be strong.
"I'll be fine, Kara, don't worry," Gohan smiled as they placed their foreheads together, closing their eyes and absorbing the moment, "I trained for this, I'm ready… just make sure you're just as careful as I am." He would always be focused on her safety first and she loved that about him, his protective side was so noble it made her want to burst.
Kara smiled and opened her eyes, backing away just a few inches with her hands innocently behind her back, "Will do!" she announced before pecking him on the cheek with her rosy lips and floating down in a straight line, landing behind Kabito and Shin at the appropriate location. He smiled having felt the warmth rising into his own cheeks before shaking it off, dashing through the air to land in front of
"Let's hope this works, I'll just go regular Super Saiyan, that should be enough," Gohan tightened his fists at his side clenching his jaw shut for only a second as he quickly sent a jolt of energy through his body. His hair flickered upwards with a golden spark that shrouded the black of his hair into a glowing blonde shade, his eyes flooding with a bright turquoise shade, and his aura became a golden fury of intense energy. "There," he huffed letting out a breath as his hair and muscle definition remained the same, his aura dimmed allowing him to loosen his muscles; in just an instant he released twice as much power as Kara had in her entire body.
"Unbelievable, how could a mortal possess such vast reserves of raw power?!" Kabito gawked with his jaw slack, giving Kara a reason to smile at his shock.
She scoffed at him, giving a coy smile as she answered, "What? You didn't know Gohan has two super forms beyond his original state?" she folded her arms across her chest in a proud confidence.
"Super forms?" Shin muttered his breath as he watched the glowing energy rocket into the sky above them, parting the clouds that layered the atmosphere.
Gohan turned his attention to the small hut, which was the entrance of the ship, the only part of the structure still visible above ground, though it was a minute or two before a figure emerged. A much taller figure than what Kara had seen in the alleyway, he had crimson skin and pointed ears, sporting a blue and white Gi with a crimson cape flowing behind him at his feet.
Shin narrowed his eyes, nearly quaking in his boots, "That would be Dabura, Babidi's head general, he has far more powerful than even Gohan in this new form…" Kara noticed the fear in the Supreme Kai's quivering eyes, suddenly feeling concerned for her lover's safety which was an odd sensation when she was with the strongest man on Earth.
Dabura glanced around with a mischievous smile, he looked out at Gohan, noticing his incredible power, however; the lord of demons also noticed the three standing on the cliff further away spectating. "Oh no! He's spotted us!" Shin felt the incredible malic building as he suddenly propelled himself at thousands of times faster than light speeds, dwarfing their reflexes, and appearing only a few feet from Kabito with his hand open, almost grabbing the attendants face with his claws.
Kara watched as the snobby god was eradicated by a white-hot Ki blast, the beam shot out tearing through the desert behind them, carving a canyon into the distance with a mushroom cloud erupting behind them. Shin and Kara gasped simultaneously as neither could keep up with Dabura's raw speed, they both darted upwards into the air at full speed in opposing directions. He dematerialized from sight, appearing behind Shin, and bringing down both of his fists on the Kai's back, forcing a grunt out from his lips as he was sent hurtling into the ground. Landing on his hands and knees.
Powergirl finally caught sight of him and flashed her crimson eyes as the energy started to collect until she released it in the form of twin beams of pure heat from her pupils; even her speed, Dabura was able to follow her attack, and dematerialize at the last moment to avoid it. She was caught off guard when the demon lord appeared right before her with a chaotic smile, sharpening his clawed fingernails to swing down at her.
Dabura was surprised when an immovable object grabbed hold of his wrist, tightening his grip, and keeping him from following through with his attack. Kara smiled having noticed that Gohan intercepted his attack, as Dabura seemed frustrated in his power incapable of pulling his hand free. He formed a crimson orb of demonic chi energy in between his lanky fingernails, shooting it into Gohan's abdomen which pushed him back, forcing him to release his grip in the process of deflecting the orb behind him.
It exploded and lit up the overcast sky with its massive eruption of energy, as the light from the blast cascaded over their eyes they locked gazes, sizing one another up from afar, "You should focus on the real threat here," Gohan announced, slipping into a fighting stance in mid-air.
"My target depends only on the will of my master," Dabura answered with a fanged smile, "But, not to worry there are enough of us for the lot of you," from within the ship emerged two more figures standing guard over a single insectoid creature floating on a crystal ball which Powergirl recognized immediately.
Behind Babidi stood a fifteen-foot-tall creature with lime green skin and sharpened bone-like blades pultruding from his arms; at his right side was an average sized warrior in black and white armor, an elongated head was helmeted as they both sported the same 'M' insignia that controlled the evil in their hearts. Pui-Pui was the shorter warrior and Yakon was the name of the insectoid creature that could consume light like a meal of pure energy.
Babidi pointed upwards at the floating Kara looking down on them, scowling with a sinister grin, "Go on my slaves! Gather as much energy for Majin Buu as you can, and make sure to leave that pest of a Kai alive long enough to see my success!"
The reptilian alien Yakon dashed upwards followed by Pui-Pui, their own individual auras consuming them as they flew thousands of feet up in only a couple seconds. They surrounded her on either side, believing to have the advantage in numbers, they felt success was assured. Yakon brandished one of his sharpened claws, blades that were several feet in length, as thin as paper and stronger than steel. He dashed forwards and swung down on the blonde woman, whose expression never faltered for a moment. He attempted to bisect her down the middle, finding instead that she had caught his blade in her hand to his immediate shock. Twisting her wrists shattered the blade in two as Kara immediately swung her fist backwards without turning around, deflecting a Ki blast aimed for her head with just a gesture.
"You guys are supposed to be the most terrifying creatures in the Universe? Give me a break," Kara vanished appearing behind Pui-Pui with casual speed alone, he turned to defend himself unleashing his most powerful blast from the palms of his hands, shrouding her completely, "I mean really, I barely felt that." He hesitated, allowing her to chop through him with enough raw strength to cleave his body in two. He was dead before he even realized it, gasping as he fell from the air.
Yakon was shocked as he watched his comrades body parts topple to the ground below with an unsettling splat of purple blood, "Now my suit is covered in weird alien blood," she announced more annoyed than angered, her eyes still lit up with a crimson glare that flashed an expression of irritation, "Do you know how long it's going to take to get these stains out?!" she shot herself forwards at faster than light speeds, vanishing mid-flight from Yakon's vision, appearing behind him, and unleashing her beams of heat on his back, burning his skin with an agonizing grunt. The blast forced him down into a natural pillar of rock, shattering it as the rubble of hundreds of tons in stone collapsed atop him. After a brief pause, the rubble lit up with a white light as it exploded from within, amping his power to its absolute maximum. Yakon snarled and watched as Powergirl landed gently in front of him, "Maybe you're worth the time after all…" she got serious, moving into a fighting stance Gohan had taught her. The creature growled and charged forth at tremendous speeds but, not quite fast enough, swinging with his opposing bladed appendage, which actually managed to slice through the nano-fabric of her suit across the abdomen, "That was actually pretty close," chuckling as she backed away, allowing her suit to repair itself weaving new fabric over the slash.
Powergirl put distance between them by back stepping into a flight that propelled her backwards, keeping her eye on the mindless beast as she had been trained to do. "I'm ending this now!" Kara closed her eyes and charged a Ki aura of her own, getting extensive training from her partner on how to channel it, this increased her already incredible physical abilities. Powergirl charged forwards, digging her foot into the ground to fly as fast as possible, ducking under a swing that would have decapitated her before plunging her fist through its torso.
Yakon choked on his own blood as he swung down with his remaining blade, using her Ki to focus her durability into her hand, she caught it without a single slice. With a smile, Powergirl looked up into Yakon's bestial eyes which were filled with fear, "Bye," she said sweetly as her pupils ignited with burning crimson fire, setting off a beam thick enough to ironically decapitate the creature. As his body fell backwards in a twitching heap, she huffed and her aura vanished, looking down at the blood on her suit, splattered over the abdomen and layered up the forearm to her elbow. "Gross!"
…
Simultaneously
"So," Dabura exclaimed to the Super Saiyan who'd released his grip on his forearm, "You wish to fight me of your own volition? I thought you were a Saiyan, and suicide is the coward's way out…" he charged an immense aura that shook the landscape around them. Gohan faced him with a glare and a smile, it had been quite sometime since his abilities had been truly tested, the continent may have shaken but, the warrior was unphased.
Dabura's aura was a blood crimson shade that enveloped him and exploded out around him, cracking the ground at his feet, and sending whirlwinds through out the area. "I'll admit," Gohan said with a confident smile, "You're pretty strong, way stronger than I expected at least," this caught the demon king by surprise, finally sensing that the Saiyan was holding back to unfathomable degrees. "It's only fair that I show you what I'm truly capable of too, right?" even as the crimson aura charged and became stronger, suddenly it was overwhelmed.
Gohan's golden aura vibrantly exploded around him, expanding as bolts of lighting cascaded across his body, from every muscle shrouding his aura. His air because slightly lengthier, and sharper while his power more than doubled what he was using in his level one form. Taking a deep breath, he exerted his Ki and to his opponents surprise the golden light completely consumed Dabura's own red energy, even as he resisted it. His Super Saiyan 2 form shocked Dabura to his very core, it was clear he had no chance, but he was as prideful as Vegeta was arrogant.
Dashing forwards, Gohan tilted his head to the right avoiding a punch meant directly for the Saiyan's face but, instead it missed entirely. This gave the opportunity to Gohan to uppercut Dabura in the solar plexus, as he gasped for breath and staggered backwards, he was met with a spin kick to the jaw that sent him flying into the canyon opposite to where the Kai had hidden. As he regained his composure, he stood to his feet slowly, leaning against the stone of the crater he'd just made, "I may need to think of another strategy…" he wiped his gloved hand over his lips, finding blue blood pouring from his mouth in droplets, this angered him as his power increased to even greater heights.
Gohan began a confident strut forward, slowly approaching the clearly out matched demon king, "I suggest you surrender while you still can," he stretched his organic arm, as he prepared to finish the fight. He was shocked when Dabura went as low as to spit at him, "Ptew!" the saliva was blocked by Gohan's metallic forearm, feeling uneasy about the nature of his spit, he watched as from the fingertips, stone began to consume his palm, spreading quickly.
"Ha! Now you will be my statue forever!" Gohan chuckled as his aura exploded, he quickly disengaged the locking mechanism on his arm, allowing the now stone relic to drop to the ground at his feet. "What?!" he exclaimed.
"I got lucky, that might have actually worked if you'd hit me anywhere else," Gohan was now one armed which still seemed to satisfy the demon king as his fanged smile didn't waver, "That ability is useful, I'll have to watch out for it," even with a single arm, he took a unique fighting stance, and dashed forwards.
With only a single arm, Dabura was able to compete, at the very least, with Gohan who only suffered from the lack of an extra appendage. Landing a right hook to his cheek, the Saiyan exploded in a burst of aura shooting up into the sky where Dabura quickly followed. As he approached, Gohan fired rapid blasts of Ki into the demon's face generating clouds of smoke which he used as a distraction, to fly through the foot first kicking him into the ground where his momentum tore a trench in the ground.
"It's time I end this," Gohan announced, using his one arm to open his palm at waist level, "Ka… Me… Ha… Me!" an energy sphere formed in his palm, even at half strength, it was more than enough to overwhelm his already injured opponent. The orb of bright blue energy charged bolts of lightning around it as it grew until he announced the final chant, "HA!" thrusting that palm forwards unleashed a beam that hit Dabura dead center.
The Demon King attempted to resist, leaving his guard up as best he could but, his body began to take extensive damage, that was when he sensed it again. Gohan still wasn't using his full power, holding back his strength and power level to an immense degree, it was his last thoughts as the beam tore through him and the mountain behind him.
"Pa-Para-Pa!" a shriveled voice announced, as instantaneously Babidi appeared with a giant egg-sack which throbbed on a pedestal, there was something deeply powerful within that was for certain. "Thank you, both of you, the battle damage you sustained and dealt has given my Majin Buu enough power to reawaken! Not at full power but It's too late fo-" he was interrupted as Gohan appeared behind him in a flash of blinding speed, slashing his hand through the wizard's body before he even noticed.
"You left yourself wide open…" Gohan claimed as he walked away calmly to the now restored prosthetic lying on the ground as If it were never transmuted in the first place, he picked it up and casually reattached it to his torso, relocking it as well. "Sorry."
Babidi coughed up purple blood as he called out for help, using his prosthetic, and testing it out simultaneously, he turned without mercy and used it to fire a Ki blast just strong enough to destroy the pathetic worm of a wizard.
The Supreme Kai flew down to meet Kara and Gohan who'd both dispatched their enemies in a relatively easy manner, "Congratulations, I never knew mortals had such power! But, I'm afraid all is still lost," he pointed at the orb which was expelling massive amounts of pressurized steam from its pedestal, "The incantation has already been completed and Buu will soon awaken, we must flee now whilst we have the chance!"
Powergirl glanced towards Gohan, gesturing for him to make the decision, "I'm gonna play this out, if he's so dangerous, than I cant risk leaving him here to rampage wildly," clutching his metallic fist, he charged his aura as the egg split in two slowly with a high-pitched whine.
From it a figure emerged, a child of all things, with pink skin and eyes as black as the night only his pupils were illuminated with an ominous pink glow. He slowly stepped out from within the egg, glancing around at his location, he chuckled maniacally with no wizards in sight his first movement was to charge an energy attack that held incredible power.
Gohan gasped at the charging energy, aimed only at the orb that concealed him for so long, "Buu says bye-bye!" he shouted with a demented grin as he launched the orb, eradicating dozens of miles in land and completely vaporizing his former prison.
"I urge you both, please, we must retreat to fight another day!"
Kara and Gohan didn't seem to care much about his divine authority, they stepped up next to each other, each charging their auras to their absolute highest. This caught Buu's attention from staring out at the waist land but, he strangely bent his neck backwards to stare upside down at them.
"Hehehehe!" he stretched as his body turned unnaturally to face them, without warning he dashed forwards without remorse or holding back, he split kicked them both at the same time. Powergirl managed to guard with her forearm but, the pressure sent her heels digging through the ground for dozens of feet until she finally stopped. Gohan on the other hand matched the demons strength in his block enough for him to counter attack with a punch through his gum-like body.
He thought it was checkmate until, the demon grabbed his arm and grinned manically at him, the substance his body was made of trapped his organic arm within his chest giving this Kid Buu opportunity to whale on Gohan to his hearts content. Striking him over and over in the face, he caught the counter punch from his free prosthetic and only avoided having it ripped off by a Kryptonian heel roundhouse kicking Buu in the neck unexpectedly, forcing him to release Gohan as Kara landed beside him.
"Whatever that thing is, it's going to take us both to bring it down," Gohan gulped as Buu emerged from the canyon he carved with his body, uninjured and somehow cracking its neck, though he had no bones, "And even that might not be enough."
…
I told you I'd be back… patience is a virtue friends… the story will continue!
