Chapter 13

"I urge you both, please, we must retreat to fight another day!" Shin shouted at them from behind, begging them not to engage. Flashbacks from eons ago haunting him as he stared into the cold dead eyes of the demon Majin Buu.

Kara and Gohan didn't seem to care much about his divine authority though, instead they stepped up next to each other, each charging their auras to their absolute highest. While Powergirl could only manage a basic clear aura which boosted her attributes, it was Gohan's golden surge of energy that radiated from his glowing body that truly mystified the Supreme Kai. The ground shook below them as the tension in the air was palpable. A Super Saiyan 2 side by side with a fierce crimson Kryptonian gaze by his side caught Buu's attention from staring out at the wasteland but, he strangely bent his neck backwards to stare upside down at them.

"Hehehehe!" he smiled when he realized their intentions, stretching as his body turned unnaturally to face them, without warning he dashed forwards without holding back, appeared before them almost instantaneously. Buu split kicked them both at the same time using his flexible body to pull it off. Powergirl managed to guard with her forearm but, the pressure of his strike sent her heels digging through the ground for dozens of feet until she finally stopped.

Gohan on the other hand matched the demon's strength enough to match Buu's kick, giving him the opportunity for him to counterattack with a punch through his gum-like body.

Gohan assumed it was checkmate until, the demon grabbed his organic arm and grinned manically at him, the substance his body was made of trapped his organic arm within his chest giving this Kid Buu opportunity to whale on Gohan to his heart's content. Striking him over and over in the face, he caught the counter punch from his free prosthetic and only avoided having it ripped off by a Kryptonian heel roundhouse kicking Buu in the neck unexpectedly, forcing him to release Gohan as Kara landed beside him.

"Whatever that thing is, it's going to take us both to bring it down," Gohan gulped as Buu emerged from the canyon he carved with his body, uninjured and somehow cracking its neck, though he had no bones, "And even that might not be enough."

It was a two-way standoff, only whilst Gohan was collecting energy to eventually charge his aura up to its maximum and Powergirl took up a fighting stance, "We may still have a chance, Babidi wasn't able to summon Buu at its full strength, if you two team up against him… we may survive this battle," Supreme Kai gave his two cents in as they noticed the Majin giving them malicious grins.

"No," Gohan stated firmly, taking several steps forwards out in front of them, "I'll fight him alone, I can sense a great darkness within him, and I want to snuff it out personally," his Saiyan instincts had never been sharper as their mere eye contact sent static across the desert sand.

"Gohan, you don't know what you're-"

Shin was interrupted when the Super Saiyan 2 flexed his muscles and pumped his aura with over twice the energy he used against Dabura, blue lighting shrouding the already golden light illuminating his body. This made Majin Buu blink several times, like a child who was confused, all he could tell was that his opponent had changed hairstyles a bit.

Gohan focused his conviction into his Ki and took a deep breath, "I spent fifteen years fighting enemies that looked as innocent as any regular person, I'm done letting my feelings cloud my fighting judgement…" his muscles expanded and the power radiating off his body sent whirlwinds through the desert around him.

Powergirl retreated as Shin took this as a good sign to do the same, back tracking with his levitation several thousand feet; Kara flew upwards into the sky to use her enhanced vision from above. The ground shook as cracks in the canyon formed at his feet from the sheer pressure of his power, "Vegeta was right from the very beginning, I need to be ruthless!" he punctuated his sentence by vanishing with blinding speed, appearing almost instantaneously behind the pink demon.

Gohan sent a flurry of jabs and straight punches into Buu's face, each one sending bolts of kinetic energy out across the battlefield, after bludgeoning his face, the Super Saiyan flipped over head and used his organic palm to fire off a massive Ki blast that consumed his opponent completely. The wave had more than enough raw power to eradicate a star, or several, and yet still Gohan could sense that this demon wasn't dead yet. The dark Ki still lingering in the atmosphere around him as the half-Saiyan took a deep breath.

Losing sight of his opponent, Gohan reached out with all six of his senses but, was still blindsided by a roundhouse kick to the side of his head. This rattled the warrior's brain as he flew sideways, reacting quickly enough, he used his fingers to dig into the rock stopping his momentum. One hit was all it took for this beast to draw blood from him, his brow dripping slightly down his cheek. As he looked up, Gohan noticed that Buu had seemingly regenerated and repaired every wound dealt to him thus far, and with a sinister smile to boot. "Hehehe…" he cackled to himself again.

It stung his temple as he blinked once and Majin Buu was right in front of him, crossing the distance between them in picoseconds, Gohan charged an immense amount of aura into his forearm which only barely saved him from being cleaved in two. Blocking a slash with his arm as he did his best to react. Without warning, Buu's neck stretched like bubble gum and headbutted Gohan in the forehead sending him back through the air, tumbling onto his back. Without even a quick reprieve, Buu came from above slamming his knee into the unguarded Saiyan's abdomen, spilling blood from his lips. Back flipping to a perfect stance, Buu only cackled at the pain he'd inflicted taking enjoyment in his suffering, "Ehehheheh!" Buu opened his palm and formed a magenta orb of chaotic Ki energy, aiming it at Gohan who was still on the floor. "HagH!" Screeching, the imp fired the blast which was only barely avoided as Gohan had enough time to back flip to his feet and shoot himself upwards leaving a stream of aura in his wake. The beam went on to obliterate an entire mountain range behind them, carving through it with a beam followed by a massive explosion. Rocking the entire area vigorously.

'He's stronger and faster, his abilities are practically unbeatable… I may have to go all out after all,' Gohan thought pensively to himself in the brief few microseconds before the battle would continue. Kara floated up next to him as Buu smiled up at them, "He's taking everything I give him and coming back for more, there has to be a weakness, every fighter has one," he had learned that from Piccolo, and it had to come in handy at some point.

Powergirl spoke up, unfolding her arms as she raised her brow, "Are you gonna try the thing?" she noted casually, as she didn't really know how to refer to it at this point.

"Might have to, I've just never gone that far outside of the time chamber before…" Gohan flexed his muscles, charging his aura to its absolute maximum once again, reigniting the spark inside of his Ki, every inch of his body glowing with golden light, "But, if it means saving Metropolis, I have to give it my all! Get the Kai to a safe distance and try not to lose your balance!" He gave her one last wink prompting her to smile, the heat rushed to her cheeks so, she used her super-speed abruptly peck him on the lips before vanishing before his eyes in a blur of speed.

"Don't you die on me, Son Gohan…" Kara muttered to herself as she flew passed Shin whom she guided away from the scene; as he questioned her decision to leave the Saiyan behind, it prompted a smile, "He wouldn't have it any other way, and neither would I."

Gohan turned his attention back to Majin Buu who had… fallen asleep upright, audibly snoring out of boredom as a bit of drool slipped down his chin. "Is this guy serious?!" he shouted but, it didn't break the demon's nap, "Fine then, maybe this'll wake you up! HAAH!" Shouting at the top of his lungs flexed his tightened muscles as every ounce of his Ki became super charged, his aura expanded three times its previous size, cratering the ground beneath his feet. "HAA!" his lung capacity was impressive as his power continued to grow, beyond that of just a level two ascended Saiyan, much further beyond.

Buu's spit bubble popped as his eyes opened, blinking at the transformation taking place in front of him, having sensed the rising power from Gohan's Ki. Built particularly for this situation, his prosthetic monitored his power level as he transformed but, couldn't keep up as the screen over his forearm cracked, overloading its sensors. His dense aura whipped up a hurricane of wind around him as he was completely shrouded in golden light, eventually sending a beam up into the sky that cut through the atmosphere itself.

Across the planet, long abandoned cities and destroyed buildings toppled over and crumbled to the ground as the mere force of this new form vigorously shook every corner of the globe. His shout shattered glass for a thousand miles in every direction, the nearly every ocean swelled in a furious whirlpool, and the shaking only got worse. Bulma grabbed a nearby railing as all of her screens shattered and short circuited simultaneously, Metropolis shook as well but, the city had long since been stabilized for any form of earthquake so, it stood strong.

The blue haired genius slammed her fist on the railing as she tried not to fall over, "I told that boy not t-to use that form outside of the Room of Spirit and Time! What is he thinking?!" using a portable holographic projector, she pulled up the data scans from Majin Buu taken by the prosthetic before the fight began. "I don't get it, this thing can't possibly be so powerful that it forced Gohan to- woa-" she reaffirmed her grip on the railing again, nearly dropping her palm sized projector.

"HAA!" His shout was all she could make of her lover as even Powergirl's x-ray and telescopic vision couldn't see through the cylindrical beam of light shooting into the sky. The weather changed around them as the bright blue skies darkened with thundering clouds, quickly cackling with bolts of lightning that struck near the humanoid within the glow as though he was a metal rod. "HAAERGH!" He struggled as the light dimmed down and the beam rescinded from the clouds, the show of sparkling energy kept Majin Buu entertained long enough to complete the transformation.

Shin was at a loss for words, never in history had a mortal displayed this type of power, not in his own Universe at least; "It can't be, I've never heard of mortals possessing such incredible might!" the windshear was almost too much for him at times as he braced himself.

Kara smiled as she stared into the glow, her eyes never prouder and more enticed by anything on Earth she'd seen thus far, he truly was the most powerful man on the planet. However, she wasn't really counting Buu as a man and didn't consider it, what she could sense was an overwhelming surge of rage pouring out of him.

When his aura condensed down into a smaller radius around him, and the smoke cleared enough to see him, his skin was literally glowing with light radiating from within but, that wasn't the most radical physical change. Gohan's short spikey hair had grown out as long as his Uncle Raditz's, only in a flowing holy fury of raw power. Electricity cackled at random across his body, now more frequently as it seemed each muscle sent and caught its own volt of static charge. His eyebrows were missing from his forehead but, his brow itself was still prominent above his devastating turquois glare.

"Sorry," Gohan noted with an audible change in his tone, a more serious one at that, as he turned his eyes gaze on the Majin, "it usually doesn't take that long, that's just the first time I've tried it in this dimension. I decided on simplicity so, you can call this Super Saiyan 3," he held up three fingers to the demon who shook his head in understanding, sensing the power within the Saiyan, he sinister smile returned.

"Kekeke you fight Buu now!" He screeched as he vanished from sight, dematerializing through speed as he went for the same roundhouse to the head that caught him the first time, however; from Gohan's perspective he clearly saw Buu moving and where he was attempting to strike. Countering by moving his head slightly to the right and forming a fist out of the three fingers he held up, swinging back, and slamming the demon's face just as he rematerialized.

Kara and Shin were shocked, moments ago that sort of speed would have completely outclassed them both combined but, now he was able to fight back without even looking. They saw nothing aside from a quick flicker of Buu's disappearing and then suddenly being struck by Gohan over his shoulder.

The pressure from the blow knocked the Majin back several dozen feet, obviously capable of feeling pain as it held its face with a reddened sting. Gohan turned around slowly, floating in place as he did, "If you want a fight, you're going to have to take this seriously," The third level of Super Saiyan was no joke as his speed had more than quadrupled even from his level two's impressive standards. This time it was Gohan who vanished, landing a knee strike to Buu's abdomen, one with enough force to blow apart a portion of his body.

Shin was in total awe, gawking at the sight before them as he'd never seen anyone hit Majin Buu with enough force to scatter his body in a single strike. Even when the Supreme Kai's attempted to stop his rampage thousands of years ago, they were only ever able to intentional damage. Buu would allow himself to be chopped in two simply to surprise his enemies from behind but, the look on the demon's face now was not of his own volition.

Gohan cupped his hands together, opened facing the scattered Buu who quickly tried putting himself back together, "I don't think so! HA!" a mighty roar of an Oozaru accompanied his rageful shout as he unleashed a thick beam of white-hot Ki energy totally encompassed the demon's body as it flew out into space, barely scraping the Moon before dissipating into the void.

He coughed a breath out, his palms smoking and his lungs nearly entirely out of air; his Ki reserves while still massive, were slowly draining even without exerting himself in this form. He was exhausted and he'd barely gotten started, it seemed like victory was secured but, Shin knew better. "As good as this may look, Majin Buu is not so easily defeated, even by Gohan's new form! We need to retreat now before he reconstitutes himself!"

Gohan still felt uneasy, he shredded the pink demon down to its last atom and yet still, he could sense a darkness still looming around him. Keeping him on edge, he turned just in time to catch a fist that formed from thin air behind his head; the rest of the Majin's body reformed from the wrist down and up his face leading to a maniacal expression. It wasn't until it was too late that Gohan had realized the fist he caught had opened its palm, forming a sphere of neon pink Ki which forced him to back away, avoiding decapitation as it passed overhead.

Kara and Shin watched in astonishment at his reaction speed, following the beam across the horizon where it struck a single mountain and obliterated hundreds of miles of land surrounding it, including several more mountain ranges. Even from their distance, the shockwave still sent them bracing as winds from the opposite direction pushed and pulled on their bodies. If either were just a mere human, they'd have been shredded to pieces by these weather phenomena. "We must go now!" Shin shouted over the roaring winds but, she kept her stare on the glowing titan in the sky, she wouldn't leave without him.

Buu hadn't been this excited in millions of years, nothing even remotely this powerful had struck him since the weird purple cat creature flicked him through space and across the literal Universe. He spent a few hundred years floating in the frozen void of space recovering from that single strike when Bibidi used his incantation to trap him within the sphere. Now the wizard was nowhere in sight and an opponent that could actually challenge him was floating right in front of him, salivating, he flexed his gum-like muscles as steam poured out from the holes that lined his skin. Whistling like a fresh kettle of hot tea, his aura also charged with it, showing off even more power than he was letting on before.

Gohan gulped as he floated back, he felt the darkness growing uncontrollably with chaotic purple lightning surrounding it, Majin Buu was only getting warmed up and this frightened the Saiyan. Remaining confident, he went on the offensive first, blasting off to land a punch directly to the face but, dematerializing at the last moment to chop through him from above instead. "AHAHAHA!" Buu turned and cackled like a sinister toddler, catching his hand before it made contact proving that Buu could morph his bodies density to any degree whether solid or liquid or even pure energy it seemed. With his chopping hand now in his grip, he threw a second hand over it and started spinning midair, before letting go as Gohan was vaulted into a mountainous canyon, carving through it as it collapsed in on him.

"Gohan!" Shin shouted out of desperation, "We must go, I can instantly teleport us to another dimension where we'll be safe, there is no need for him to risk his life," though the Supreme Kai was being honest and knew they didn't stand a chance, he was still surprised to see Powergirl's expression.

Kara was calm and collected, with a smile on her face and her arms crossed over her chest, "Maybe not, but it's his choice, and I'll support it no matter what."

"You have that much faith in him? How well will your faith do you once Majin Buu kills him?!" Shin nearly shouted but, she had already made up her mind, and she wasn't about to go back on her decision.

Kara brushed her blonde hair to the side to look at him while not taking her peripheral vision off the fight, "If it comes to that, I'll know, and then we can step in," she put on a brave face because she was in fact terrified of the outcome after seeing the last few blows not going according to plan.

The rubble was still for a time, until the entire canyon began to shake, golden light beamed from within the cracks of the debris as a figure stood holding millions of tons in rock. With just a flex of his muscles, the entire mountain was vaporized in a golden flame matched only by a furious shout that echoed across the planet. Gohan's power was beginning to run low, he would never win a battle of attrition with this thing as his opponent and especially not in this form. If he wasn't careful, he'd waste every drop just by trying to reach a hundred percent, as Buu saw his opponent still standing confidently in the smoke, he propelled himself at his opponent with a right hook prepared.

Instead, Gohan closed his eyes and accepted the situation for what it was, throwing his hand up in front of his face with his palms open, "Solar Flare!" the luminosity of a star blinded Buu ass he flew into the ground, clutching his eyes for just a few seconds. Using the last of his Super Saiyan 3 power, Gohan cupped his palms by his side and chanted like his father, "Ka… Me… Ha… Me…!" since the punch was meant for him, Buu had blindly landed right at his feet in agonizing pain. Using all of his strength he kicked Buu in the torso with enough force to send him upwards into the cloudy sky, "HA!" he thrust his palms out at his target as the energy build up was so dense that the transformation itself powered down, leaving him in his base form as the beam fired off enough Ki fast enough to hit Majin Buu only, instead of attempting to destroy him in the conventional sense, the blast was meant to push the demon out of Earth's atmosphere and back into space. It only took a few seconds but, the beam flew through the cold of space until it reached the scorching star at the end of their Solar System; it was effective but not nearly permanent enough.

Shin let out a sigh of relief, feeling with his divinity that the darkness had finally left Earth, he could still tell it was with them in the Universe. "What? Did he do it this time?" Kara asked immediately as Gohan shook in midair still flexing in the firing pose, huffing deep breaths.

"No, Buu is still alive but, destroying his atoms and sending him into the Sun is a good start for saving your planet," Supreme Kai noted as both of them felt the weather dying down and saw the clouds clear up once again. "It will reconstitute within forty-eight hours, it would be instantaneous regeneration but, luckily for us Babidi didn't get to revive Buu at its full power."

Kara came up from behind Gohan who was still floating with his arms out, flying up to him as his entire body quaked, she placed a hand on his shoulder prompting him to fall like a rock. Limp into her arms and exhausted of all energy, he had a few cuts and scrapes but, he would live. "If that doesn't kill Majin Buu, than what does?" pulling from beneath her glove, Kara took out a Senzu bean as they all landed on a plateau so he could lie down.

Shin simply watched as the Kryptonian kept her eyes on Gohan's face, taking off her glove entirely, she stroked his chin softly with a compassionate smile. "Well," he spoke up as she pulled down and pressed the bean into his mouth, even pushing his jaw upwards once to start the chewing process, "Majin Buu is an entity of raw evil incarnate, a literal embodiment of darkness that existed before even this Universe. It would be like asking how to kill the concept of light, or… love," he watched with a smile at their affectionate ways, it could be so strange to watch the mortals from up close sometimes but, times like these were the most fascinating to him. The little moments in between the chaos and fighting, the nutrients in the bean took effect quickly as Gohan's eyes snapped open, sitting up as Kara lunged herself into his embrace. "A single bean healed all of your wounds and restored your energy? That's fascinatingly coincidental…"

"It was," Gohan mentioned, rubbing the back of his neck as he cracked it once or twice to stretch, placing his other hand on Kara's lower back as he stood up with them. "Now, we can only get a few at a time, if any at all…"

Shin cleared his throat, "As I was saying earlier, Buu cannot be killed because he isn't a person or alien, or even a demon… he's literal evil taken physical form," Kara noted the horrified expression on his face recalling past encounters with it.

Gohan's eyes perked up, glancing toward the Kai with a theory in mind, "So, if something that was the polar opposite of evil, could it kill Buu?" he inquired, thinking back to his childhood and what he knew about his father's techniques.

"Such a thing doesn't exist to my knowledge, are you implying that you know of such a technique?" Shin was almost excited at the news that this warrior could finally destroy Majin Buu for good.

Gohan reminisced on his childhood, battling Vegeta on Earth in a desert not dissimilar from the one they were in now; Goku summoned the positive life energy from the entire planet to condense it into a single sphere, "My father knew a technique that concentrated the positive energy around him, from life of any kind, including stars, and surrounding planets…" thinking pensively on how such an ability could be used, remaining frustrated, "He was the only one who knew how to use that ability, it was taught to him by King Kai."

Shin looked away for a moment, thinking as he formulated their next moves and how they would proceed with destroying the essence of chaos from the Universe for good, "I can take you both to my dimension, a realm that exists far above the Other World and Heaven itself, and I'm sure I can arrange for Northern Kaio to train you to use this technique."

Gohan turned to Kara who'd been uncharacteristically quiet through out the conversation, placing his hands on her shoulders prompting her to look up into his eyes, "You can come with if you want, I feel like I'm always leaving you behind… that's not how I want our relationship to end up," he couldn't help but feel guilty knowing his Father prioritized training and fighting his entire life and watched as his Mother grew lonely and reliant on her only son. "We've got two days for you to train to master this technique and, while you're at it, you may just get stronger as well," Shin approached them both and grabbed either of their shoulders, "Have either of you trained in heightened gravity before?"

They both gave each other similar glances and nodded simultaneously as Shin smiled, "Great, so a thousand times your planets Gravity shouldn't be too inconvenient…" Closing his eyes and focusing on his home world, Shin charged an aura of light that instantly dematerialized them both, teleporting them across dimensions and through different realms, even catching a glimpse of Heaven for the briefest instant before arriving.

Kara was pulled to her hands and knees immediately, and Gohan felt the pressure pushing down on his body forcing him down but, he flexed and quickly adapted. Not even requiring his Ki to keep himself stable he offered Kara his hand which she graciously took, assisting herself back up. As she got her feet beneath her, she had never made it passed seven-hundred times Earth's gravity in the Chamber they had built for their training.

"She may need some time to get used to this environment…" Gohan noted to Shin as Kara took a few steps out of the shade they arrived under, cast from a large red-wood sized tree, catching sight of the not one, not two but, three small yellow stars orbiting the massive planet. Being a million times larger than Jupiter, the stars orbited the planet rather than the other way around.

"So… So much, light…" Kara found herself bathing in the yellow sunlight, its radiation being absorbed into her every cell, burning like fire across her body. Though it only felt amazing as she had never felt so much power before, it was like sitting in the middle of the Sun's core. "I cant believe you have three yellow stars orbiting this place," Kara chuckled in a giggling gleeful laugh, now not only standing without assistance but, floating off the ground into the air. "I've never felt so alive!"

"It seems mortals don't have respect for the sanctity of the hallowed grounds created by the Grand Supreme Kai himself," a familiar voice she expected to be rid of by now resurfaced as Kabito Kai scolded her from below.

"Just ignore it, Kara, bask in the light…" she mumbled to herself.

Kabito, Shin, and Gohan huddled and began a test of his worthiness to train on their sacred grounds; though Shin didn't seem to mind either way, Kabito insisted, "There lays a sword buried atop a stone pillar which can only be lifted by the chosen one; not even the Supreme Kai's of the past have been able to make it so much as budge," he explained.

Shin rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm sure Southern could have lifted it, I'm just not very physical…" he sheepishly chuckled as Kabito continued to boast about the impossibility of it ever being lifted.

"Sir, are you sure this is even worth wasting time on, there is simply no way that a mere mortal could remove the Z-Sword from its perch, let alone wield it in battle!" While Kabito expressed his concern for the sanctity of their land and sacred items, Gohan took a few steps away, still atop the pillar they argued on.

Looking down at the blade entrenched in the pillar like a root, Gohan reached out with his organic arm and stared out at the glowing goddess like figure that absorbed the sun light in front of them, floating out in the sky with her back facing him, it was all for her. Keeping the world safe, meant keeping her safe, the planet was still his home, and he was still passionate about the lives left on Earth but, the way she made him feel these past few years… He gripped the hilt and charged a white clear aura around his body, exploding in white energy as his grip tightened on it, he pulled focusing only on protecting Kara just as she turned to make eye contact with him.

Her turquoise pupils glistened in the light that refracted off her eyes, giving him a warm smile and a slight giggle to boot as she brushed her hair over her ear. She began clapping as, once Gohan glanced up, he realized that he'd pulled the sword from its prison without even transforming or, paying attention for that matter. Holding it up above his head, he quickly realized its weight and back stepped several feet, reaching up with his free hand to stabilize his balance.

Kabito and Shin were both astonished, jaws dropping at the sight of a mortal not even using his full strength to casually lift the sword from its confines. "T-That can't be true… it's not possible…" Kabito stuttered while Shin simply composed himself, giving a warm smile toward the Saiyan.

"And yet, it seems to be happening before our very eyes…"

Gohan took a few swings, slow and uncoordinated, "I'm g-guessing this weighs a few thousand tons, a long with a thousand times gravity, I should be swinging… a few hundred thousand tons?" He asked out loud toward Kara whom over the years was able to access her Kryptonian hyper intelligence, capable making the calculations in her head in just a second or two.

"Yup, 406,572 metric tons!" Kara still bathed in the sunlight, recharging her stamina and solar reserves to their maximum capacity while still continuing to trickle energy into herself every moment she spent in the sun. Floating over to the pillar where stood the two lightly shocked and unnerved deities along with her longtime boyfriend, whom she embraced as she landed gently in front of him. "I've never felt so free in my life, this energy is so invigorating," nestling her head into his shoulder.

Gohan lowered the sword down in his prosthetic hand, Kabito noticing how he expertly channeled extra energy into his mechanical limb to keep it from tearing off his body from the sheer weight. "So, now I train with this sword while you arrange a training session with King Kai?" he said as Kara slowly came down from the dopamine high that she received from three yellow stars orbiting her.

Shin nodded his head, "You've by far exceeded my expectations, as such there is one other you are to train with while you're here, he's been waiting a very long time to see you, he claims," taking the sword with him, Gohan followed the Supreme Kai and his attendant down toward the grassy plains where the large tree they arrived under was planted.

A figure stood in the shade now, a familiar face that hadn't changed in nearly three decades, his unkept raven-black hair, orange and blue Gi identical to his own, and a smile that was practically all he could remember from him. Gohan noticed as he landed that the man waiting for him was none other than Son Goku himself, wearing a glowing halo two inches above his head.

"F-Father?" Gohan stammered in disbelief.
