Revampfic: Trolls Unexpected Love Chapter 19: Say Something, a trolls fanfic

I do not own Trolls or these songs. Happy New Year! This the first chapter of many that will be coming this year. I have been inspired with new stories and more chapters to write. My posting will be once a week since I do have other stories and life going on as well. I have so many new songs to add and to start off this new chapter right we have some boy band mashups coming our way! I have looked at all the song requests in the comment section in Lone Concert and I will do what I can to not only add those songs but maybe even more. Hope y'all enjoy!

The trolls started a new chapter of life with peace with the Bergans. After the event of the almost Trollstice all of the trolls decided that it was time to head home to the troll kingdom and bring the Putt Putt Trolls with them and make homes for them. They would also learn from mistakes in the past and do their best to respectfully help them integrate them back into troll life. Understanding the habits of 20 years of isolation can have on a person. They had found Rhonda right outside the gates of Bergan Town and she brought friends.

John ran right to her while the others explained to Branch and Poppy who Rhonda was to John. Apparently Rhonda was gathering an army to try and free John, but now they can help take the trolls home after their long and tiring adventure. Poppy, and her parents joined Branch and his family on Rhonda, who surprisingly had enough space. Branch had found a corner of Rhonda to take a breather; it has been a lot these last few days. He also was quite ready to go straight into family bonding just yet. But he did enjoy watching his siblings interact with one another also to see King Peppy talking to his dad Ozzy after all these years while Queen Viva rested her head on her husband's lap as he brushed her hair with his hand.

Branch was starting to close his eyes when he felt someone snuggling into his side he looked down to see a tired looking Poppy. He could not help but smile. As over stimmed as he was he wasn't feeling overwhelmed by her presence. In fact he felt more relaxed with her there. So he just wrapped his arm around her and she nuzzled in closer. Poppy was exhausted and if she was being honest she just needed Branch's steady nature right now. She felt her entire body buzzing at the events that had happened this week. Poppy was still feeling overwhelmed as scared about what had almost happened; she just felt safe enough to fall asleep with him near her. Also Branch was the one troll she felt safe enough to not always be overly peppy and happy around, but in a bad way. She could just let herself feel whatever she was feeling when she was with him and him with her. When he wrapped his arm around her she was so happy he wasn't pushing her away anymore.

Branch started to stroke her hair and was starting to hum which caught the attention of everyone else. Branch didn't notice he was solely focused on Poppy. Which did bring a smile to Peppy's face. Branch then started to sing in almost a lullaby tone.

Brandy and Spruce couldn't help but smile as it was the same lullaby they sang their thirteen children who were dozing off to sleep as well at the sound of their Uncle Branch's singing. They tucked them into the bed John had on board. All just barely fitting on the bed. Lucky that they are small. They also grabbed Delta's youngest Dixie who also was able to fit in the bed.

Barb was just smiling at her little brother who she had missed so much. Her attention was brought to Carol who had just wrapped her arms behind her going around her waist into a hug as she placed her cheek on Barb's shoulder. Barb smiled happily that her family was finally together again.

Floyd rested his head on Holly's shoulder as they sat near Branch and Poppy. He closed his eyes and he remembered the days when their Gramma used to sing them that song. Val took Floyd's hand holding it tight as she closed her eyes too. It had been a long day for everyone.

Ozzy, Delta, Viva, and Peppy were looking at the young couple who clearly loved one another. Ozzy pulled Delta into a warm hug thankful that he had a second chance at love. He still loves his first wife dearly but he knew that even though it was hard she would have wanted him to move on and be happy and he was overjoyed that Branch had found that as well. Peppy could not be sure that his wife and best friend were alive but also that Branch had found his colors again. Now it would take time before he fully healed but for the first time in a long time he believed that Branch could do it. Because he was finally allowing himself to.

Clay looked at his littlest brother then at his oldest brother who had walked up to him and wrapped him around Clay pulling him into a side hug and whispered into his ear "sorry". Surprising Clay. Because he knew John was apologizing for the night he first left. Clay didn't say anything, he just returned the hug.

Branch finished his song and noticed that Poppy's breathing changed and she was fully asleep now. He then looked up for the first time since he started to sing and noticed all the eyes on him. "What?" He asked gruffly. "Nothing dear, we were just enjoying the music." Brandy said as she left to check on her kids and set up a place for her and Spruce to sleep. It was a two day journey back home. Floyd and Val were already asleep along with Viva and Delta. "Well it is getting late and the Caterbuses are probably slowing down for the night. I can see that they are all gathering up to stop. So it would be best if we could get some sleep." John said get out some sleeping bags and blankets for everyone. "Also Bitty B your pipes are stronger than ever tomorrow we need to sing together." Branch blushed a bit at this. "No, that's ok." But JD was not going to take no for an answer. "Nope. Brozone 2.0 back in action. We can do it at breakfast. Please, it's been so long." Seeing the faces of his brothers and even Barb made him cave. It was going to be a long day tomorrow. But for now he was just going to get some sleep. Branch wrapped Poppy and himself up in the blanket John gave him and decided to shut his eyes and sleep, placing his head on top of Poppy's and soon he was out.

All the caterbuses had stopped in the same place that night. The sun was rising and all the other trolls were waking up gathering around to start some campfires and make breakfast. Branch woke up with Poppy in his arms and he couldn't be happier. "Wake up Pop." He whispered in her ear. "Five more minutes." She mumbled. Branch couldn't help but chuckle. "Can't. Sorry. Don't want to miss breakfast." Poppy then heard her stomach growl and she let out the cutest little grown. "Ok fine." Poppy got up and led Branch out of Rhonda to get food and coffee.

The two joined the Extended Snack Pack for breakfast and since everyone was really tired it was mostly quiet for the time being. Branch was finishing up his first cup of coffee and about to go to get his second when he felt a forceful tap on his shoulder. JD was standing right behind her with the rest of their very tired looking siblings. "Come on, it's time." JD said excitedly. Branch let out a yawn. "Time for what?" JD had a smirk on his face. "Time to give your friends a Brozone reunion concert!" Branch froze at this right John wanted to sing this morning. Before Branch could respond all of his siblings were already going to set up for the performance. "Branch, why don't you go join them?" Poppy asked curiously. "I'll sing for you but not for funzies." Branch said, looking back at Poppy. "Oh ok I get it." She said calmly. "No no no you're not gonna push. Wait what?" Branch said, expecting a lot more push back from her. "No I get it you think that it would be too emotional for you to sing with your siblings after all this time and I think you're right." Poppy said.

"I think I can handle singing a song." Branch said, falling right into her trap. "Prove it. Prove it. Prove it." Poppy said with the Snack Pack joining in. "Fine but this is most likely beneath me." He said right before Barba rushed over and forcibly grabbed his arm dragging him over to the rest of their siblings. Branch could only hear Poppy yell "yay" when this was happening. JD got the attention of all the trolls before starting the music for the Brozone 2.0 concert. Holly didn't join in but she helped keep watch of the kids.

Branch's siblings all joined in for that and it caused all the trolls to go crazy with excitement. Then Clay picked up the vocals.

Clay was looking at Suki while singing but no one but Suki and the Twins noticed and she was blushing at this. The Twins where now lightly teasing Suki about Clay liking her and if she liked him back. Like they did with Poppy and Branch. Spruce took the lyrics after Clay and everyone could tell that he was singing just to Brandy and all of their kids thought it was so gross. "Yuck." Spruce Jr said. "Yeah yuck." Suki said still staring at Clay.

Floyd stepped up taking his turn for a solo. Poppy was just so excited everyone was hitting every move perfectly even Branch. Floyd was look to Val when he sang this.

Floyd's was smooth and and enticing the music had slowed down for him but no one minded. Val was now blushing like crazy at his words and John Dory wrapped his arm around Floyd signaling that he was going to do the next verse.

All of Branch's siblings pointed to him saying that it was his turn to sing and something just flipped in his brain and he was more than ready to sing. The Snack Pack has seen his lone concerts before but this was nothing like that. This was like something that was locked away inside of Branch was finally being set free. It truly was a sight to see.

Poppy remembers him singing this the morning she woke up in his bunker after the night when they first said I love you to one another and she could not help but smile. Branch had fully committed to the performance surprising everyone including himself. He did not realize just how much he had actually missed not only singing but doing it with his family. Ozzy couldn't be happier at the sight before him. He never thought that he would live to see all of his children singing together again. He could not be more proud of the trolls that they all have become and he is looking forward to learning more about the man Branch is now.

Crazy, but that's how it goes

Barb screamed with her guitar solo just rocking out. Carol was just rocking out to her wife's guitar playing and singing just getting lost in the music. Branch then held out his hand for Poppy to join them which was a dream come true for her to perform with her favorite band ever!!!!! And her boyfriend too.

BroZone's back, alright!

The crowd was cheering so hard and Poppy was coming down from her high of getting to be a part of it. Branch then walked up to her beaming a bit. "I can't believe I remembered every step and every word!" Poppy was so happy for him. "I guess your boy band days aren't over yet." Poppy said leaning into Branch gave him a pur that caused him to blush. But the moment was interrupted when Branch felt a strong arm grip around his shoulder pulling him in to an off balanced side hug. "That was awesome!!!" JD shouted. Clay, Floyd, Spruce, and Barb felt the same. Singing with all of their siblings felt really great after all this time. They were all so happy to have Branch back and no matter how hard the next steps were going to be they were going to do everything they could to be a family again.

It was time for them all to get back onto the caterbuses so they could finally get home. Branch was honestly nervous about his family seeing his bunker and nervous about what state his bunker is going to be in. They all got back on Rhonda and headed back out. When all the trolls finally returned home Branch and Poppy were met with an over-excited Glitz who not only could believe that Branch and Poppy were back together but that Branch had his colors back. "Yes Glitz I have my colors back." Branch said as his brothers saw this scene and tried to hold in their laughs. "And we are back together." Poppy whispered to the glow bug who gave them a hug. "So who is this?" Barb asked with her own little bat on her shoulder. "This is Glitz, my glow bug." Branch answered. Then Glitz noticed that there were also several trolls who looked like Branch and found out that they were Branch's family. Glitz seemed like he was going to burst. "Cool, maybe Debbie could hang out with Glitz." Barb said as the two flew off to go play. Glitz was beyond excited to learn about Branch's family and his niece and nephews. Glitz and Debbie went over to play with the littles.

While the two went to play with Spruce's children as the adults came up with a plan on what to do next. For those whose homes were destroyed and for the new trolls. It was going to be a lot of work and while they were building these new pods there were a lot of displayed trolls. Branch had suggested that with the help of the Bergans they could move some of the old pods from the Troll Tree and renovate them to get construction done faster. Poppy thought that was a great idea if they used the more sturdy pods that weren't destroyed during the Great Escape. Poppy took her new responsibility as Queen very seriously and she would not have been able to do any of it without the help and support from Branch. They may not know what all is to come their way but as long as they did it together they would be alright.
