Branch was curious as to what her plan was. She had not said a single thing since she had captured him. This was not the Chef he remembered. She loved talking about her plan and how she was going to be on top, but she was disturbingly silent since taking him. "Hey!" Branch cried out trying to get Chef's attention, but she was effectively ignoring him. "Hey! What's your plan? The Bergans don't need trolls to be happy anymore so what are you going to do with me?" Branch yelled angrily. This got Chef to turn to him. "You want to know what I'm planning?" Chef asked menacingly. Branch however just stood his ground not giving her the benefit of fear in his eyes. "Yeah, that's why I'm asking." Branch said almost bored, only making the Chef angier. She slammed her hand down violently which did make Branch jump slightly.

"I plan to take you to Mount Rageous, a place filled with succubi who would do anything to be famous and make a fortune. I simply plan to provide them with the ability to do just that." The Chef explained her plan to the trapped troll. Branch was still however lost as to how he was to play a part in this messed up plan. "How?" Branch would soon regret asking that question when he saw the wicked grin grow larger than he had ever seen before on Chef's face. She picked up the bottle and laughed. "I learned that a diamond can help steal a troll's talent. Only side effect is that it also steals their life force as well, so they unfortunately don't last very long. Just ask your purple friend." She said giving Branch a few moments to figure out who she was talking about. Then it hit him. She had tested this on Creek. Branch did not think highly of that troll but no one deserved that.

"You trolls have been a pain in my side for too long and now it is time for me to return the favor." She said, placing Branch back down on the stump as turned around so she grabbed the last of her stuff. "You were harvesting us. Eating us! Killing our family members right in front of us, no matter what age. We just wanted to live. Please let this go. Have mercy. Please!" Branch argued back trying to reason with her. He knew mercy may have been the wrong word to use but he didn't want to anger her further by making her feel like she wasn't in control. She turned back to him looking angrier than ever before. "Mercy. You want Mercy? Why should you get the one thing I was repeatedly denied?" She screetched at him forcing Branch to take a step back from her. The Chef looked at him with her wicked grin as she spraid herself with the essence of troll and began to sing well.

Branch was crying his pain from what she just did but Chef didn't care. Instead she sang about how the trolls just absolutely ruined her life not once but twice and how she will come after every last one of them to get her revenge. Branch was still seething in pain from her sucking and absorbing his life force from him. His ears were ringing and he could barely hear her sing but he could definitely feel her angry in the air. As his vision began to focus again he saw sparkles falling and his hair turning white and the end of his limbs turning clear.

Started to cry, but then remembered I

Branch curled up on himselftrying to get as far as he could from her. He was afraid. He had been afraid of his woman for almost his whole life. He didn't want to die, but when he thought back to how he ended up in this position he would not change a single thing. It looks like it has all come full circle. First his Gramma dies saving him and now he might die saving SJ and Gretal. He only hopes that SJ doesn't bame himself and turn grey like he did. Like he said he would change what happened for anything, because his nephew and niece were safe.

Branch let out a soft sigh when he finished singing his song. For the first time in a very long time Branch felt hopeless and was starting to slightly miss his grey days. His colors dulled but he didn't turn grey, but his body was in so much pain that he could barely breathe. He fell to the ground with a thund and rested his head on the wall of the diamond bottle. He looked at his hands and feet as they turned clear. He was going to die here. Chef was going to sell him to the highest bidder once they reached Mount Rageous and he was never going to see his family again. He was never going to see Poppy again. He was never going to see his children hatch or grow up. Branch knew he had to keep fighting for them but if Chef kept using him like this he just knew that he was not going to make it. Chef was frustrated at the sudden rain pour that was now keeping her from leaving.

"If we are going to do this we will need as many voices as we can get from all of the family and maybe even some friends. Poppy you think you can ask some of the Snack Pack if they'd be willing to join, while we pack. We can't go in without a plan." Clay explained. Suki nodded. "Biggie and I will help spread the word with her." John saw Poppy getting hyped up about Branch's rescue and he knew he had to calm her down. "Poppy, you can't join us on the mission, you have two eggs growing. Branch would kill me if anything happened to the three of you." John said, denying her fron saving her husband. Everyone else who did not know that Poppy was preggnant were surprised. "Eggs? As in plural?" Flyod asked, excitedly for his baby brother. Poppy just looked at John who gave her a sheepish smile as an apology. Suki and Biggie were extremely excited about the devealopment but she also knew that they needed to move fast and Poppy was going to have a lot of explaining to do. "Biggie and I will get the others while you all talk about this. Congratulations, I really am so happy for you." Suki said to Poppy hugging her with Biggie joining in. "Me too." As the two friends headed off to get more voices to save Branch, Poppy turned back to her extended family who were still staring at her with wide eyes.

"So I am preggnant." Poppy said nervously. Floyd was the first one to rush in to hug her. "This is amazing!" Floyd to his sister-in-law. For the first time since Branch had been taken everyone had been able to breathe. "Can we see them?" Floyd asked curiously. Poppy moved her hair once more to reveal the little eggs growing in her scalp. "As happy as I am about this development we do need to get the supplies we need to go save Branch. We are leaving as soon as Suki and the others get here. I'm heading to grab Rhonda. Poppy you are staying here, that is finally." John said in a matter of fact tone. Poppy felt so helpless. She should be the one to go save her husband, not just sit and do nothing.

Suki and Biggie ran as fast as they could to get the others to save Branch. He had been a huge impact on all of their lives since the day they all heard him sing and the day he chose to come with Poppy to save them. He did not have to come. They had just messed up his relationship with Poppy and probably doomed him to a life without happiness, but he came anyway and for that they would be forever grateful to him. Suki knew that time was limited so she figured she could find a way to bring them to her instead of her and Biggie runnin around wasting time looking. So Suki stopped Biggie from running and led him to the McTroogle Horn and blew into it. The sound drew the attention of the entire village and the Extended Snack saw that it was Suki who was the one to blow into the horn and came running towards her because that horn was only blown in emergencies that did not require them to be quiet. When they reached Suki and Biggie they saw the panicked look on their faces; it worried them. They only knew just how bad it really was when they two explained to them what had happened with Branch and they all took off running towards the bunker.

By the time they all reached the bunker they interrupted a huge argument that had broken out. John had gotten back with Rhonda and was now fighting with the pink troll queen. He did not want Poppy to join them on this potentially dangerous mission, but she was not going to take "no" for an answer. "No, baby you are preggnant end of discussion." John said forcefully. Before Poppy could retaliate. She was then surrounded by the Extended Snack Pack with a group hug and excited screams. "You're preggnant?" Smidge said excitingly. Poppy nodded. John was still frustrated at the situation of Poppy wanting to go but he hoped that maybe her friends could help convince her to stay. "Ok, can one of you convence Poppy that she can't go on this mission. Please." John asked the group of friends because apparently his siblings were of no help in his argument of her staying here. "Poppy he's right you're preggnant with." Satin started off and Chenille saw John hold up two fingers. "With TWO eggs! This is going to be dangerous." Poppy looked a little defeated that everyone was seemingly against her trying to go save her husband. Peppy had raised her to be a strong and independent woman but maybe she should listen to the voices of others in this situation.

Poppy was soon snapped out of her thoughts and was soon interrupted by the DJ Troll. "So you just have to be careful when we go." Suki finished the twins thought. Poppy smiled and hugged her friends harder. John was absolutely defeated. "No, you were supposed to tak her out of it, not in." He exclaimed. The others just turned to him with a sympathetic smile. "You should know by now that. Once Poppy gets an idea in her head almost no one can talk her out of it. The exception is usually Branch." Guy Diamond said to John Dory who just groaned accepting defeat and no longer arguing about his daughter-in-law coming with them anymore. All the kids were left with Ozzy and Delta as they headed down and stayed down there. They all decided that they could not waste anymore time with idal chit chat. They all grabbed the needed stuff for this mission and started to pack Rhonda so they could get this show on the road. Once everything was taken care of they all headed inside of Rhonda and she traveled as fast as she possibly could and soon they were off to save Branch. Everyone was silent at first the caterbus just filled with dread and worry. Yes they wanted to talk about Poppy having eggs, but they all silently agreed that now was not the time. Not without Branch here. Rain started and Rhonda was put in auto drive, luckily the weather might just buy them the time they need.

Soon the time had come that they needed to figure out what song thay should sing to save Branch and hit the Perfect Family Harmony. "Well the one song we got closest to ever hitting it was Perfect so I suggest we do that. Now remember Clay show that silly robot, Spruce have lots of energy like you did at the show, Floyd don't forget to show that emotion, and Barb be more peppy. Ok let's do this." John instructed. The Timberlake siblings were immediately brought back to when they were kids. Barb then walked up to her brother. "Hey I had this idea that if I play that Ulitmate Power Chord it might help us hit the Perfect Family Harmony." Barb tried to suggest and the others seemed to be on bord but John quickly shot down her idea. "No Barb we have to hit it, the guitar could just mess it up, also everyone else not too loud we can't have you overshadowing our voices." Everyone was starting to get annoyed with John. If they weren't actually supposed to help with the Perfect Fmaily Harmony then why were they even there? No one was able to voice their disagreements to John's way of thinking before the troll in question started the music signalling everyone to get ready and into positions.

Spruce was feeling the effects of PTSD from his bad food habits of trying to lose weight and constantly working out to keep his body image and just his overall unhealthy lifestyle that John had inadvertently placed on him when they were teens. He honestly felt sick to his stomach remembering it all. If it wasn't for Brandy helping him forget all those negative thoughts he honestly doesn't know where he would be right now and he is grateful for her every single day. He was upset at John for making him feel like this again he knew the damage he had been through because of this. He would yell at his brother if he wasn't trying to fight an anxiety attack at the moment.

Clay was annoyed at the Fun Boy roll he was being forced to play once again. He was angry at John for back sliding into his old teen ways of thinking. Why was John doing this? Didn't they all know by now that Clay felt so unseen everytime he was forced into being the troll nobody took seriously. He hated that everytime he tried to have an actual intelligent conversation with someone they would laugh it off like some big joke. That he was some big joke. He wasn't. He hated feeling like that. He was Mr. Serious Boy Clay. Right?

Barb was mad. John had once again shot down one of her ideas because it didn't fit in with the band's image. She felt like she was a kid again never getting to have her voice heard. She couldn't use her idea of the Ultimate Power Cord; she had to dress back like she did in those ridiculous clothes, not being able to express her true self. It's why she started her band and she never had felt so free, but now it felt like John was trying to annoy her by putting those chains and restrictions back on her.

Floyd was frustrated, he did not want to have to play mediator once again because John pushed everyone too far. He was a kid when he started playing that role and had to grow up a little fast because of it and he had to be the sensitive one. Anytime he was genuinely upset he was always brushed off because everyone said that he was just overreacting. He was supposed to be the one to express his feelings but not all of his feelings apparently mattered. He hated feeling that helpless. He wasn't helpless. His feelings did matter, Barb and Riff helped him see that.

They were all frustrated with John with his obsessive need to be perfect again and were not afraid to let it show. "Ok that was ok, but we need to be perfect if we are going to hit the Perfect Family Harmony. I have a few notes." John was about to go off like he used to and this just made his siblings mad. "Ok that's it. John I thought you got over your need to be perfect this isn't working." Barb shouted. "What I'm doing this for Branch." John tried to argue. "No, it feels like you are just trying to be the boss again and I thoughtyou had changed, same old John Dory. You know the reason why I left was so that no one would treat me the way that you did." Spruce said angrily. "We've all changed dude I'm a licensed CPA now you better put respect on my name fool." John just looked at Floyd to see if he would say anything but he looked down at his feet before he spoke. "You know whenever I got nervous before a show I just think about all of you, my family being by my side and I would feel better. I told Branch the same thing before his first show. We can't forget about Branch, but we can't go about this like how we used to." John just turned to his brothers and sister realizing what he was doing he slowly moved to the sofa and sat down placing his head in hands.

"You're all right. I'm sorry. It's just my son that's trapped there and I don't know what else to do." John said solemnly. His siblings just looked at him with a better understanding as to why he had gone a little crazy just now trying to hit the Perfect Family Harmony. Poppy just walked up to him and sat down next to him. "You don't need to be perfect, you just need to be you. That will be enough. Not when everyone looks the same and sounds the same. That's not harmony. It takes a bunch of different voices working together." John realized that she was right. He then looked at all of his siblings and each one of them were a completely different troll from one another and that was ok. It was also ok to see that every troll there that had come to help save Branch was not the same either. He gave her a smile before standing up. "Poppyseed is right. I'm sorry for being a jerk." John said, holding his arms out hoping his siblings would forgive him. Floyd was the first to rush to him along with Spruce, Barb and Clay reluctantly joined as well with a smile on their faces.

"I just love when y'all get along." Holly said, pretending to wipe a tear from her eye making her brothers and sister laugh. "Get in here, Holls." John shouted. She went and joined the hug before they broke it up feeling much better at their chances of rescuing Branch. "Ok now that we have all of this settled. What song are we going to sing?" Clay asked. "I don't know but I have a feeling we will know the right song when that time comes." John answered back. He headed back to the front of Rhonda and pulled her out of auto drive and saw that they were almost there. Chef was frustrated that she was not already heading to Mount Rageous at this point and her plans were being delied and those trolls were catching up, but she figured that she could use this to her advantage and went to harvest more diamonds. She could not believe that it had worked when she first tested it out on Branch. The Chef had only said that she had tried it on that purple troll to extinguish any fight this troll had. Truth was the purple pest had escaped from her when they had escaped the belly of the beast that had eaten them.

When they reached their destination it was in the deepest part of the forest. John had turned down Rhonda's lights so they wouldn't be spotted. It looked as though Chef was getting ready to leave for a long time, so it had taken her longer than she anticipated for her to get everything to go. She had packed ahead of time but she soon realized that she would not be able to carry everything so she was having to redo it and with the rain stalling her she was getting antsy. But much to the troll's dismay that began to stop so they were now on a shorter time clock to rescue Branch. They were at the entrance of a diamond cave which would look beautiful if it wasn't for the fact that their little brother was trapped in one of them. They tried to remain as quiet as they could to see if they could spot Branch from above. They had brought gummy hands and a few of them were now scaling the wall of the outer cave to see if they could get as close as they could to Chef to not only find Branch but to also figure out what she was planning, so they could find a way to stop it and her for good. It took them a moment to get close enough to this horrible Bergan so they could hear her without being spotted but they managed to do so. Luckily for them it was turning dark outside so they had the cover of night to hide them as well. Floyd was the one to spot Branch and he did not look to be in the best condition. "Look Branch." Floyd whispered to John, Clay, and Barb. When they saw their youngest brother and son they were fuel wih a new found rage. They froze when they saw Chef turn towards them. They let go of the breaths they had been holding when she turned back around. Chef seemed to be preoccupied with getting everything she needed ready for the next day as she had planned to leave at first sunlight to Mount Rageous. She left to go grab some final bits of supplies that she would need before it got too dark.

Once she was gone John, Floyd, Clay, and Barb lowered themselves down to where Branch was and to see him up close his condition looked worse. "Branch." Floyd said in concern and tears in his eyes. Clay was just at a loss for words. Barb just wanted to wreck something, anything if it wasn't for Clay pulling her into a hug to help her calm down. John could not tear his eyes away from his son. How could this have happened? Branch was slowly looking up at them. "You made it." Branch said, but his voice was very weak. John felt like he was going to throw up. "What did she do to you?" John asked, trying to control his anger but could not help but ball up his fists. "She is going to sell me to the highest bidder to a bunch of talentless succubi so they could spray themselves with my life force and talent, but it's killing me." Branch explained. "That's worse than lip syncing!" John Dory said angrily. "We can't waste any more time we need to get him out. Like now! Let's move it." Barb said determinedly. Soon the four were able to lower Branch down to ground level where everyone was waiting for them. They were all shocked by the condition Branch was in. "Branch!" Poppy hollard as she raced to him.

"Branch looked up happy to see his wife. "Poppy you shouldn't be here." He knew that the argument would be fruitless, but he still had to try. She still gave him a look saying that nothing was going to keep her from coming after him. "We are going to get you out of here before she comes back." Spruce said, urgently. The Snack Pack were worried about Branch yes, but about Poppy. They knew what would happen if she lost him. "Well we still haven't decided on a song to sing and we all know that it can't be PERFECT." Clay said, crossing his arms looking around nervously making sure that Chef didn't come back anytime soom. It was then that Cooper had an idea. "Do you all remember that song we saw Branch sing that one time." The Snack Pack looked at him confused. "You will have to be more specific, we've seen him sing many times." Smidge said. "No, I mean yes, but no. I meant when we ALL saw him sing." Cooper enficized. Only Darnell was on the one to catch onto what Cooper was trying to say. "When we joined you for that one performance?" Copper nodded "You mean the song he wrote before he had turned grey." Satin said, catching on along with the rest of the Extended Snack Pack. "That one he dedicated to his Gramma?" Chenille finished. The mention of Rosiepuff caught the attention of all the Timberlake Family. They all looked at one another before turning theri heads to the Extended Snack Pack and then back to one another and silently nodding their heads in agreement. It was desided that Cooper would take the lead. He began to sing while the others hummed the melody they heard what felt like forever ago.

When the Timberlake Family heard the lyrics to the song the Suki, Poppy, and the rest of the Extended Snack Pack were singing they recognized the song immediately as the song that Baby Branch had been working on with John Dory before they all went their separate ways. John was the first of the family to join in leading the cheorography that he and Clay had been making up all those years ago. Soon the rest of the brothers followed suit and Barb grabbed her guitar to get ready to plaay the Ultimate Power Chord when they hit the Perfect Family Harmony.

Branch saw that his family and friends were singing his song that he had dedicated to his family. To his Gramma. He tried to gather all of his strength so he could join them. Chef heard the noise and went out to see what was going on. She had not been expecting to see an army of trolls singing and dancing. She also did not expect to see her diamond floating in the air glowing. The Perfect Famiyl Harmony was working but they still needed Branch to join them in the singing if this was going to work. They were all just worried that he had nothing left to give.

Everyone was worried for Branch. They could see him fading away and feared that he was not going to make it through this, but the Timberlake Family and the Extended Snack Pack continued to sing and dance to the beat in perfect sync. It takes many different voices to harmonize and that's what it took. Family is not just blood but the family you make along the way and Branch has a mighty big family fighting by his side. When Branch realized this it had given him enough strength to finish the last few lines of the song with his family. Creating the Perfect Family Harmony.

The song finished and they could see the diamond break. They did not see that the Chef had returned and witnessed what they had done. She was so scared of the turn of events that she ran as fast as she could to Mount Rageous and was never seen again, but not because she reached Mount Rageous. No, no, no. Remember that lovely large creature that spits fire before eating them, well let's just say she encoured him and this time there was no way she was going to be making a comeback. Again. Branch was seen floating down to the rest of his family and was now completely clear. His heart stopped. "Branch." Poppy said as she ran to her husband. She caught him and gently placed on the ground to rest. "No. Branch wake up. Please." Poppy begged. The sight before everyone was heartbreaking. Poppy had tears streaming down her face as she sat on her knees cradling the man she loves. She was soon joined by all of Branch's siblings who were devastated at the thought that they were too late. Branch was gone.

Happy Spring Break! I know I'm evil for leaving it on a cliff hanger like this and for waiting so long to post the chapter, but I just figured that it would be the perfect way to finish this chapter and the week. I want to let everyone know that there are two chapters left and I am so sorry for the dely for this chapter. I have had the hardest time with this chapter and it just kept fighting with me, but in the end I think I finally won. I will also say that the next chapter will be a long one too. I just want to add if I do continue to write this story it will be a separate piece and not anytime soon. I have so much going on lately, but I am finishing these final two chapters so don't worry about that. Also I never thought we needed newer bad guys. Chef was enough and plenty terrifying. So she's back and defeated by the Perfect Family Harmony!!!!!!! Yay. I will try to get another chapter out soon. Like I promised. It was not easy, I also think I managed every troll song as well. I think. We are going to say I did it for the sake of argument and my sanity. I am starting to get trolled out after all of this.
