Warren and Betsy walked into the kitchen fully rested after a much needed nap.
They both went to grab some coffee and started chatting.
The other X-Men notice them in room, but didn't want to interrupt the chemistry between them.
Betsy couldn't resist flirting with Warren, He was so good-looking, and there was something about him that made her feel desired.
Betsy felt him getting closer as they were talking, and he gently placed her hand on the mansion's kitchen counter, staring deeply into her eyes.
"Get a room bub Wolverine said with sarcasm." Scott, who was also there, nodded in agreement, not wanting to interrupt their moment but also not wanting to witness any explicit act in the kitchen.
Warren looked at them, and with a wink, said "Don't worry, we will." Betsy blushed at his boldness.
She got up and started making herself something to eat, her appetite piqued. Now it's time for lunch.
Betsy had whipped up something that she called a British classic: bubble and squeak. It looked like a greasy pile of mashed potatoes, cabbage, and onions, served with a side of ketchup.
Warren took a bite and tried to hide his disgust. "This is... interesting," he said diplomatically.
But Betsy didn't seem to mind. She scooped up a hearty serving and shoved it in her mouth, savoring every bite. "Oh, I love this stuff," she said with her mouth full.
"Don't knock it till you try it," she shot Warren a teasing grin as she chewed.
Warren summoned up a polite smile, but he couldn't help but feel a little queasy at the sight of the mushy dish. However, the sight of Betsy, her cheeks flushed with enthusiasm as she enjoyed her food, was enough to distract him from his initial revulsion.
He found himself mesmerized by her, admiring her carefree attitude and her ability to find joy in even the simplest of things. As they sat and ate together, Warren couldn't help but feel a sense of peace and belonging. With Betsy, he didn't feel like the mutant outcast or the wealthy playboy. He was just Warren, a man struggling to navigate the chaos of his own life.
"Warren?" Betsy tilted her head, her eyes full of curiosity. "You look a million miles away."
"Just lost in thought," he smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "About this weekend."
"The weekend?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes uhhh about that... there something I need to ask you. "Warren hesitated, gathering his thoughts.
Betsy looked at him with a mixture of curiosity and concern, waiting patiently for him to continue.
Finally, he blurted out, "My family is hosting a charity gala this weekend and I was wondering if you would like to come with me as my date."
Betsy's eyes widened in surprise, but she quickly regained her composure. "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I don't want to cause any trouble for you."
Warren exhaled sharply, his blue eyes searching Betsy's for any sign of hesitation. He could feel the weight of his words hanging in the air between them, his heart pounding in his chest at the thought of her response.
Betsy's heart raced in her chest as she struggled to process Warren's unexpected invitation to the charity gala. Her mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions - surprise at the sudden proposal, uncertainty about what it meant for their new relationship, and a glimmer of excitement at the thought of attending such a high-profile event by his side. She opened her mouth to speak, but the words seemed to elude her, lost in the jumble of thoughts racing through her mind.
The X-Men could see the tension in the room and one by one each one left just leaving Warren and Betsy.
Betsy's heart pounded in her chest as she looked at Warren, his eyes filled with anticipation. She could feel the weight of his invitation hanging in the air between them, each second stretching into an eternity.

She felt a mix of emotions swirling within her - uncertainty about stepping into Warren's world, fear of causing trouble for him, but also a flutter of excitement at the thought of being by his side at such a prestigious event.

Warren's eyes softened as he met Betsy's gaze, a whirlwind of emotions swirling within him. He reached out and gently took her hands in his, his touch warm and reassuring. "Betsy, I understand your concerns. But being with you feels right. I want you by my side, not just as a date but as someone who brings light into my world."
Betsy's heart fluttered at Warren's words, his sincerity evident in his eyes.
"Ok, all go." Betsy's voice was filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness as she made her decision.
