I'm extremely stoked for this chapter. Miku is finally going to start the next part of her life by joining Kaito and Meiko. And that's about it, surely nothing else noteworthy is about to happen in this chapter, right? Right? Nothing like the introduction of two of the most iconic Vocaloids of all time in this chapter. Right?... Right?
Meiko sighed "fine, what's your lousy condition?" She asked.
"I'll come with you, but only if my village doesn't get entirely seperated from me." Miku demanded.
"Elaborate please." Meiko said, very annoyed.
"I want something from my village to come with me to make me feel comfortable, whether it's a person or a souvenir." Miku explained.
Meiko sighed again "Fine, just don't take too long."
"Fantastic." Miku said as she took another sip of the sugarcane juice.
"You've been thinking for twenty minutes now, just tell us who or what you wanna bring." Meiko was slowly losing patience.
"It's hard, if my parents found out then they'll stop me from going, so it can't be one of them, it can't be one of my toys either because I'd have to explain to them where I'm taking the toys with me."
After a really long amount of hard thinking, Miku had finally decided. She had like forty options in her mind at the beginning. But she's pretty much eliminated all the options now, except one.
"It's clear to me now, I pick my best friend Rin." Miku said cheerfully.
"Who?" Meiko asked.
"She's my bestest friend I've ever known, we met when I was 5 and she was 3, I'm 16 and she's 14 now, and we've been through everything." Miku smiled talking about Rin.
"Whoever it is, I hope she doesn't make things harder for us." Meiko was worried.
"Give her a chance Meiko, she's Miku's close friend." Kaito told her.
"This better not come back to bite me in the ass." Meiko said to herself.
"Please chocolate cake man, don't take my money." Rin said voicing her lemon toy.
"Too late lemon man, you've lost our horse racing bet, say goodbye to your money." Rin said voicing her chocolate cake toy.
"RIN!" Miku called her as she, Kaito, and Meiko entered Rin's backyard.
"Hey Miku, I was just playing with my toys." Rin told her.
"Rin, I'm leaving the village." Miku hit Rin like a truck with those words.
"Y-y-you can't-t." Rin was stuttering.
"I truly think this is the best decision for my life." Miku said smiling.
"B-but I love you with every fibre of my being." Rin's eyes were about to tear up.
"I'm leaving with the two people behind me but there's a catch." Miku said.
"What is it? I'll do anything to make you stay with me." Rin said.
"Well, I'll only leave the village if you come with me, or else I won't." Miku revealed.
"W-what?" Rin was blown away.
"Yes, you mean everything to me Rin, I'm not leaving without you, so please accept my offer." Miku said politely.
"M-Miku... I don't know what to say, this is so much to take in." Rin was in disbelief.
"Never said it wasn't gonna be." Miku smiled.
"Look, just give me time to think." Rin requested.
"Why does this keep happening to me!" Meiko was sick of waiting.
15 minutes later
"I'll tell you what Miku, I'm in." Rin smiled.
"I'll make sure this'll be some of the most fun you ever have with me." Miku hugged Rin tightly.
"Great, we can finally leave this dull village now." Meiko couldn't wait.
"You didn't let me finish Miku." Rin told her.
"FOR FUCKS SAKE!" Meiko couldn't believe how bad her luck was.
"Finish?" Miku said with a confused look.
"I said I'm in, if Len comes with me." Rin demanded.
"We don't need your dumbass brother." Miku was pissed off.
"Well, then you're not getting me either." Rin made her demand clear.
"Just let her get her stupid brother!" Meiko yelled at Miku.
"But Len's such a headache to me, he'll make the journey worse for everyone." Miku argued.
"Miku, I'm not leaving the village without Len, where I go, my dear brother must also go." Rin said with a determined look.
Miku sighed "Alright."
Rin went inside her house to get Len, and when he came there, you knew it was about to get crazy.
"Stop dragging my arm! I'll throw you from the top floor of our house if you do it again." Len threatened Rin.
"Len, you see the two adults behind Miku?" Rin stated.
"Yes, now tell me who are these nobodies?" Len asked.
"He's rude." Kaito whispered to himself.
"They're taking Miku out of the village with them." Rin told him.
"Good riddance, I don't wanna see her ever again in my life." Len said.
"You didn't let me finish Len, Miku wants me to come with her." Rin explained.
"There's no way you're leaving everything behind for that moron." Len said.
"I'm standing right here." Miku warned Len.
"Oooh, I'm so scared of you." Len said sarcastically.
"Regardless, I said that I'll only leave with her if you also leave." Rin told him.
"Leaving the village to spend who knows how many days with a piece of trash like Miku, you're kidding?" Len said.
"Please Len, I don't wanna be seperated from Miku." Rin said with adorable eyes.
"Save me the stupid crocodile tears." Len still didn't wanted to spend an indefinite amount of time with someone he hated like Miku.
Rin was starting to shed real genuine tears "Please, I don't want Miku to leave me."
"It's alright Rin, I'm not leaving, you have a right to want to stay with your brother, I'll just simply stay here." Miku said.
"No, you can't." Meiko begged.
"I don't wanna go if Rin's not going." Miku said.
"And I'm not going if Len's not going." Rin said, she simply loved her brother too much.
"This is horrible, after eight years we finally got one person who could've joined us, but she didn't, FUCK ME!" Meiko collapsed on her knees and started crying.
"Wow, she's crying, what an absolute little baby of a woman," Len insulted Meiko "now, if you mind me, I'm gonna finish reading my erotica novel that Rin very rudely interupted me from."
Meiko hugged Kaito and continued crying "I'll never be a star, I let Lola down, I'M A TOTAL FAILURE!"
Kaito's heart was hurting from seeing his love in such distress. How dare this kid make Meiko cry. Who does he think he is? But Meiko doesn't need to worry, he won't let this narcissist get his way. He'd make sure Len comes with them.
"So... have you or your brother ever been into sports?" Kaito asked Rin.
"Somewhat, but how is that relevant?" Rin wondered.
"That must mean you've played baseball at some point." Kaito assumed.
"Yup." Rin answered.
"So you must have a baseball bat somewhere in this house?" Kaito concluded.
"It's in our living room to be exact." Rin told him.
"That's all I need to know." Kaito said in an angsty voice.
Kaito went inside their house, went to the living room, picked up the baseball bat, and found Len.
"Man, this is some of the most arousing writing ever re-" before Len could finish his sentence, he was hit in the head from behind by the bat.
"You may finish that novel some other day, kid." Kaito threw his one-liner.
Kaito put Len's unconsious body on his shoulder and took him outside.
"I got him, we can leave now." Kaito smiled.
"YOU'RE THE GREATEST FRIEND I COULD EVER ASK FOR!" Meiko's sad tears turned into tears of joy.
"LEN! TELL ME HE'S OKAY! TELL ME THE INJURY ISN'T TOO BAD!" Rin was deeply concerned for her brother's well-being.
"Take that you little punk!" Miku was super happy seeing Len in pain.
"You know, you may be the hardest person to deal with I've ever met, but you're still my greatest friend, and I'll do anything for you." Kaito smiled at Meiko.
"And I can't be happier over that, anyway, Miku, Rin, get into the car with us." Meiko told them.
"You heard the woman, let's get to the car." Miku enthusiastically said to Rin.
"F-fine, I'd prefer had you found a less painful way of making Len unconsious, but we're too far in now." Rin admitted.
And with that, the band had five members now. For eight years it only had two, but in just one day that number has increased to five. But having a fair number of members is just one step. If Meiko wants to be a star, she must nail it loads of other steps. She might be serious, but are the other four bandmates as serious as her? Only time can tell.
Hmm, that part about Kaito knocking Len out with the baseball bat didn't quiet hit. In my mind, it was suppose to look zany, like how most anime slapstick looks like. Kaito doing that to Len suppose to be a comedic moment of slapstick. However, in my mind it looked alot more like that, but it just doesn't work in text form. It sounds serious when you read it. Regardless, that has been my headcanon of how they first meet Len for years, and I'm not changing a headcanon I've had for so long just because it doesn't work in text. See you next time.
