'Did that gas explosion... Give me a... Q-Quirk...?!'

The shocked figure of Izuku Midoriya was currently staring at his form, still crackling with electricity, in a mixture of curiosity and disbelief.

'B-But that's... T-That's impossible!' The greenette mentally exclaimed in his head, 'T-The whole point of quirks is that they're meta abilities which are unique to only one individual. T-There's no possible way or means someone can gain another quirk apart from the one they've been given... S-So there's no way that gas gave me a quirk!'

And what he was saying was true.

Every individual in this modern age was born with their own quirk that was granted to them at birth.

And even though there have been cases of children being born with two quirks, the fact still remains that the quirk you're born with is the only one you have for the rest of your life.

There's no means that exists in this world which allows somebody to gain another superpower other than the one they have, which means it's pretty much impossible for that gas explosion to have somehow given Izuku a quirk!

'And yet... I-It's the only conclusion that makes sense somehow...' The freckled teen concluded with furrowed eyebrows, 'I-I mean if that purple gas clearly did something to all those other men at the docks... Then who's to say I didn't get affected as well...?' He asked, bringing a hand to his chin.

'Or could it be that my quirk just developed recently, and I was a late bloomer without anyone realizing it...?' He theorized, 'But then why would it happen to show up the day right after I came in contact with that gas...? Or maybe my quirk was somehow dormant and inhaling that gas must've awakened it or something...!'

The green-haired teen was so deep in his thinking process that he didn't even realize the sparks flowing through his body had dimmed.

The lights then suddenly went off, making the teen slightly jump.

"The lights!" He yelped in surprise before he quickly realized what happened as he gazed at the switch, 'O-Oh... Right... Forgot I did that...'

However, before Midoriya could move towards the switch and flip it, the bulb which lit the room suddenly fell from the ceiling.

Alerted by the sudden movement, the greenette stuck his hand out to try and grab the bulb.

However, the result that came was far from the greenette's expectations, as when he stuck his hand out, what looked like an orb of electricity shot out from his hand and stopped the object in place.

"W-What the?!" He exclaimed in shock, "W-What am I doing?!!"

'I... I-I only tried to catch the lightbulb... A-And yet it's floating now!' He commented in bewilderment.

'But... H-How am I making it levitate with... Electricity...?' The teen thought with confusion, 'I-I thought I could only control electric objects...!'

Noticing how the bulb was still levitating, the teen decided to see if he could float it towards him, which worked.

'I-It worked...!' He stated as he held the bulb in his hand, which lit it up, 'But... How did I do that...? I don't think it's possible for something be to floated with electricity... Or could it be a quirk like the one mom has...? Like some sort of electric telekinesis power...?' He questioned.

But the thing is... When he brought the lightbulb towards him, it was as if it had instantly been attracted to him...

Like he was some sort of magne-

The greenette suddenly let out a gasp of realization.

'That's it... My power must be Electromagnetism!' He mentally exclaimed, 'That would explain why I've been able to tamper with the electricity running through every device in here! My body must be manipulating all of their electric particles...!'

And it made sense.

Electromagnetism itself deals with the interaction that occurs between electrically charged particles.

And if Izuku was somehow able to manipulate the electromagnetic waves traveling through these machines, then it wouldn't be too far off to assume that was his power.

But the question still remains...

Was this a quirk...?

Or a side effect of that gas...?

'I need to get to the bottom of this...' The teen stated, 'And I think I know just the place do that...'

Inside a certain doctor's office, Izuku could currently be seen fidgeting with his thumbs as he waited patiently behind a table.

What he was waiting for in particular were the results of an X-Ray scan he had gotten a few minutes ago.

You see, there's a certain aspect about quirks that hasn't been mentioned yet.

When a person is born with a quirk, they're also born with only one joint in their pinky toe.

So when a person ends up having two joints in said toe, they almost always end up being quirkless.

Of course, Izuku himself was part of those with two joints in their pinky toe, seeing as how he's quirkless.

However, with the presence of his new 'power', he wasn't sure if that status had changed or not.

So he figured that the most logical decision was to go to the same place where he got his X-Ray Scan back when he was four years old.

If the scan came back and showed that there had been a change in the number of toe joints he had, then it would mean he did develop a quirk, and it's appearance after that gas explosion was merely a coincidence.

And if the results were the opposite, then it would mean his suspicions about last night were true.

For now, all he could do was wait for the doctor to come back with the results.

After a few minutes of anxious waiting, a sound buzzed from the teen's phone.

'Huh? A notification...?'

Before he could reach for his phone inside his pocket, the sound of the door in the doctor's office made him look up as a certain figure came in.

"Well, kid, I've got the results from your scan right here..." A certain bald man with a large bushy mustache and a peculiar set of goggles in a lab coat stated as he sat at the table and handed the teen a dark paper, "And it seems like there hasn't been any change in the structure of your toe."

The greenette was surprised by the revelation, but he quickly masked it as he accepted the scan.

Izuku knew why he wanted the scan, but the doctor didn't...

"Nothing at all...?" Midoriya asked as he gazed at the scan of his foot.

"I'm afraid not." The doctor confirmed as he pointed at the structure of the greenette's toe, "As you can see, your pinky toe still has those two joints right there. So, as of now, they still remain the same."

"Huh... I-I see..." The teen shakily replied as he stared at the scan of his foot.

'So I was right... T-This isn't a quirk...' He concluded in his head, 'That purple gas really did give me powers... But... H-How...?' He questioned with deep confusion.

"Although, I have to ask..." The doctor's voice brought him out of his thoughts, "Why exactly did you want another scan of your foot, Midoriya?" He questioned with a raised eyebrow.

The question made the teen's eyes widen.

"I already performed a scan for you about 10 years ago, and that was when you and your mother came here to check what your quirk was." He reminded Midoriya before he gained a concerned expression.

"Don't tell me you requested a scan hoping that you somehow gained a-"

"N-No, no! That's not it at all, doctor!" The boy frantically assured, waving his hands, "I-I accepted my quirklessness a long time ago..."

"Oh?" The doctor uttered with raised eyebrows, "Okay, then... What exactly was the scan for?" He asked, unaware of the panic he had instilled.

'Crap... I was so intent on getting that scan that I forgot to think of a reason for it...!' He panicked internally.

"W-Well... Y-You see... Uhhh..."

You're probably thinking, "Why doesn't he just tell the doctor about his new electric powers?"

Well, he didn't want to do that.

Mainly because of the suspicion that would definitely arise at how he now had a meta-ability despite being quirkless.

And if the doctor questioned him on how he got his powers, it would probably lead to a whole other complicated matter, so he decided to keep his mouth shut for now.

The teen frantically scrambled for a reasonable excuse for a few seconds before his mind eventually settled on one.

"Um... I-I actually sprained my pinky toe during an accident a few weeks ago." He sheepishly lied, "And after I self-healed for awhile, I thought I should make sure there wasn't any permanent damage done to my toe... W-Which brought me here..."

Judging by the raising of his doctor's eyebrow, it was fair to assume he was pretty skeptical.

"And your mother allowed you to visit my office by yourself for this?"

"Uh, y-yeah! I mean... We both agreed that I'm old enough to see a doctor on my own now, so she had no problem letting me come here on my own!" Midoriya quickly added.

A brief silence filled the room as the teen felt like he was gonna shrink from how intently the doctor was gazing at him.

"Hmmm... Well, I guess that makes sense. You are fourteen years old now." The doctor accepted.

This made the greenette internally sigh with relief.

'Thank goodness...'

"Well, putting that aside, is there anything else you need me to check for you, Midoriya?" The bald doctor asked.

"O-Oh, no. The scan was pretty much all I needed." Said teen dismissed.

"Well then, I guess our session today is over now, yes?"

"Y-Yes." Izuku agreed with an awkward grin, "Thanks for agreeing to see me, Dr. Ujiko."

"No problem, kid." The newly-identified doctor replied with a smile, "If you or your mother ever have any other troubles, always feel free to see me, okay?" He said, offering a handshake.

"Of course, doctor." The teen agreed as he moved to accept the gesture.

However, as soon as his hand came into contact with the elder man, the doctor suddenly felt a sharp jolt, making him jump back.

"Oof... Ow!" He cried out, grabbing his hand.

"D-Doctor?!" The boy exclaimed with concern and shock.

"Gahh, don't worry about it, kid." The man brushed it off, flexing his hand, "Just a little static shock, that's all."

"Oh... U-Uh... S-Sorry about that..." The teen sheepishly apologized, rubbing his head.

"No no, it's a natural thing. No need to stress over it." He reassured, "You just head on home now."

"Uhm... O-Okay..." Izuku awkwardly accepted, "T-Thanks again, doctor." He thanked once more as he finally exited the office, leaving the man by himself.

"Huhh... For a common static jolt, that felt a bit more powerful than it should've..." Dr. Ujiko commented as he gazed at the arm that had been zapped, which he squinted at through his goggles.

"Something tells me there's more to this than meets the eye..."

As for our green-haired protagonist, he was currently standing outside, thinking deeply to himself.

More specifically, he was thinking about the new revelation that had been made earlier.

'O-Okay, so according to that scan, I'm still quirkless... And yet...' He thought as he gazed at his hands, which started to crackle with electricity, 'I now possess a meta-ability... All thanks to that gas...'

'I honestly don't know if I should be celebrating this... Or questioning it...'

It's not that he wasn't happy about him now possessing a superhuman ability, it's just that he couldn't help but overthink about it.

What exactly was in that gas that added electric powers to his DNA?

And there's still the matter of what was the aftermath for all those other thugs who had been affected by the gas?

Were they even alive?

Were these new powers a blessing or a curse?

These were all questions that clouded the greenette's mind.

But there was one important fact that crossed the teen's mind.

'Now that I think about... I still haven't tried to figure out the full extent of my superpower...' He realized with wide eyes.

'I know I can pretty much control any electrical device and current... But I also somehow levitated that lightbulb using electricity from my hand!' He thought back to his moment in the bathroom, 'Just how far does my electromagnetism go?!'

The greenette raised his pointer finger, and gazed at it as currents of electricity started to flow from it.

'I think the best thing for me to do is to determine the full extent of my powers...' Izuku concluded, 'All I need now is a place where I can do just that... But where...?' He asked, bringing a hand to his chin.

The teen tried to think over any places he knew where he could test out his powers and spent a few seconds doing so before his eyes lit up.

"Wait... That's it! I think I know just the place!"

"If my info is right... It should be right around... Here!"

Our freckled protagonist was currently standing near a place known as Takoba Municipal Beach Park.

A beach park located at the coastline which was once a beautiful public spot now turned into a junkyard, evident by all the heaps of trash that filled the area.

"Wow... This place really looks just like it did in all those picutres online..." He commented in a mixture of awe and disgust as he entered the area, "I don't get why anyone would want to pollute an area like this. Is it that hard to put trash in a bin?"

Damn lazy bums...

"But still... Seeing as how almost no one comes here anymore, this seems like a great place for me to practice in private." He commented as he looked around, "Might as well make the most of it..."

His eyes also took notice of most of the junk laying around, and how they ranged from televisions, to refrigerators, to microwaves and, hell, entire CARS.

"Huh... Most of the objects lying around here are made out of metal..." The teen realized with wide eyes, 'This is just what I need to test out my powers...!'

If his powers had to deal with electromagnetism, then having metal objects around to use them on was a win-win!

'Okay... Judging from how I made that lightbulb float, it's safe to assume I have a levitation aspect to my electromagnetism...' He stated as his eyes landed on a stack of cars that were atop of one another, 'But that bulb was pretty light in weight so... What if I tried to do the same with a car...?'

Deciding to test his theory out, Midoriya recreated the sensation from that morning and shot out electricity from both of his hand, which hit the vehicles.

However, instead of the blast of energy attaching to the cars, it instead zapped them, disappearing in the blink of the eye.

"What the...?" The greenette uttered in confusion, "I thought the electricity was supposed to stick... Why didn't it work this ti-?"

Izuku cut himself off with a gasp when the once stationary cars suddenly started to float in the air one by one.

"W-Woah!" He exclaimed in shock, "H-How did I do... That?" He trailed off as he noticed how the cars were about to fall before floating once again.

'Wait... Is my body somehow making those cars float without touching them...?' He questioned in surprise.

Acting on this theory, the teen willed his mind and snapped his fingers, which resulted in the vehicles falling to the ground loudly.

"Woah...! So I can levitate objects without having to hold them with electricity...?" He examined, "That's actually pretty cool...!"

"Hold on. This gives me an idea..."

At that, the teen suddenly ran towards the vehicles from earlier and climbed atop them before eventually reaching the top.

'Okay, if I'm right about this...'He thought as his hands started to crackle, 'I may have just fulfilled one of my ultimate childhood fantasies...'

Bringing both of his hands together, the teen blasted electricity down towards the car he was standing on, and just like earlier, it started to float.

'And now...'

The teen focused intensely with closed eyes before eventually, the car started to fly around in the air, with him on it!

"Woah! I'm flying... I'm actually flying!" He exclaimed with enthusiastically, 'Well... Technically it's the car, but this still counts!'

In a move of confidence, the boy raised his arms as if he were surfing, basking in the experience.

"Woo-hoo! This is awesome!" He stated with a smile as he drifted around a corner, "It feels like I'm floating on thin air! And my balance is surprisingly good too-!"

The teen gasped in surprise when he looked down at his feet and noticed they were sparkling with electricity.

'Wait... My feet feel like they're attached to the car...' He widened his eyes in realization, 'That means my electromagnetism lets me cling to surfaces too!'

Proving his point, he moved as if he were trying to jump off the vehicle only for his legs to not budge.

It's obvious that he was using electricity to cling to the car, so if he simply turned off the electricity in his feet then...

The electricity on the teen's feet instantly vanished, and he instantly felt his balance worsen.

"W-Woah woah woah! Bad idea! Bad idea!" He exclaimed as he tried to regain his balance, quickly using his clinging ability once again, "Phew, that was a close one." He commented with relief.

"So now, I can stick to any surface I want by using electricity... Man, what else can I do?!" He asked with growing enthusiasm.

"Hold on, I've been shooting all these electric bolts from my hands... So wouldn't that mean...?"

Suddenly, the teen threw his hands out and shot out a blast of electricity at a microwave, causing it to blow up.

"Haha, it worked!" He exclaimed in glee, "I can use my electricity to shoot out energy blasts!" He stated as his eyes scanned across various pieces of trash.

"Time for me to do some target practice!" He grinned.

As he flew around, the greenette joyfully zapped any piece of rubbish he could find as he flew around.

He even formed a finger gun with one of his hands and blasted a piece of metal with his fingertip, which lead to him blowing imaginary smoke from his pointer finger.

"Bullseye." He said in a bad southern accent.

Eventually, he came face to face with a refrigerator, which seemed to be pretty big in size.

"Hey... This fridge just gave me a crazy idea..." He stated as he remembered another fantasy he had as a child.

This fantasy in particular, was inspired by a video game he was very fond of.

Bringing his wrists together with his palms facing open, he brought his arms behind them.

"I've always wanted to try this...!" The greenette commented.

Trails of electricity started to crackle from his body before it traveled to his hands, and started to grow in size before transforming into a large ball of electricity in his hands.

With his energy ball now formed, the teen let out a cry as he shot the ball from his hand, "HADOKEN!"

The energy ball hit the refrigerator square on, and left a large hole in the middle of it, leaving smoke.

"Aww, boo yah!" The teen enthusiastically exclaimed with a fist pump, "I can't believe that actually worked! I didn't think I was capable of generating such high levels of electricity!"

He created a similar ball of energy, although this time using only one hand, and threw it at the fridge again, creating another hole.

"Wow... Mechanokinesis... Levitation... Electric Adhesion and Electrokinesis...? These powers are amazing!" He exclaimed in joy as he began to fly once again, "I can't believe I ever questioned them in the first place! These abilities are a blessing!"

For the first time in his life, he finally didn't feel powerless!

After so many years of being an outcast for not possessing any powers, he now had a metahuman ability of his own!

"There's so much I can do with these powers!" He exclaimed in excitement as he stated at his hands, "I can even-!"

He stopped his rant of excitement with a gasp as he came to a sudden realization.

A very positive realization.

"I can use these powers to achieve my dream..." He started as he looked up and slowly gained an exhilarated smile.

"I-I... Can finally become... A hero...!"

Unfortunately, the freckled was so into his realization that he was made unaware of the pile of garbage behind him he was flying into.

He looked back and let out a yelp as he shieled himself with his arms.

CRASH!

The camera pans down to pile to show the green-haired teen that was currently in a very uncomfortably position under the pile.

Bringing himself up, the teen grunted as he stretched his body out.

"Well that was embarrassing... Glad nobody was around to see that..." He uttered as he stretched his back.

'But more importantly, after all this time, I've finally been given a chance by fate...!' He thought as his excitement quickly returned, 'Just last night, I was almost about to give up on my dream, but now...'

He clenched his fist with a grin as it generated electricity.

'It just might be possible...!'

With this new power, he could even enter U.A's entrance exam, and he wouldn't have a problem with the practical test!

He could finally enter the school of his dreams!

His mind was already racing with all the possibilities that could occur!

He had gotten so excited that he unconsciously began to emit from his body.

"Huh. Looks like I still have some juice left." He commented on his current state before a sudden thought came to his head.

"Hey, now that I think about it... Can I even run out of juice?" He asked a loud.

He had been so caught up in the euphoria of his new electric powers that the thought of tiring them out hadn't occurred to him till now.

Quirks were metahuman abilities, and while some of them could be used without end, there also existed quirks that require cooldowns after extended periods of use.

His electromagnetism was a meta-ability, so could it perhaps work the same?

'Maybe I need to test that out as well...'

His gaze shifted towards the piles of junk that surrounded him, and he gained a smirk as he generated another ball of electricity.

"Guess its time for another test run...!"

Slow and heavy breathing could be heard coming from a certain teenager.

The teen in question was Izuku Midoriya, who had his hands on his knees as he heavily panted.

'Gee, that sure was tiring...' The tired teen stated.

The greenette had spent the next hour using all the capabilities of his 'not-quirk' to see if it had a limit.

From using his levitation on various pieces of metal, to blasting said pieces with his lightning ball, to flying on cars with his adhesion ability, he did all of that, eventually wearing himself down to the point of exhaustion.

'I spent the last hour testing out my electric powers... And it feels like I've really worn myself out...' He commented on his state of low energy, 'But how can I know for sure...?'

His eyes darted towards another scrap of metal, and he pointed his finger at it, intending to zap it.

However, he blinked his eyes in surprise when only a small amount of electricity bundled from his finger before vanishing in a flash.

"My finger only emitted a weak amount of electricity..." He said with wide eyes, "It looks like my power really does have a limit...!"

He tried to generate electricity in his hands again to no effect, further proving his theory.

"Huh... I'm completely out of juice." The boy stated before furrowing his eyebrows, 'Hold on... I'm still sensing a bit more electricity than normal in my body...' He observed as he brought a hand to his chest.

"Could that mean that I don't run out of juice, but rather it simply becomes weaker?" He brought a hand to his chin in thought.

"Although... Wouldn't it be possible for me to give it a recharge? Kinda like a battery...?" He thought with raised eyebrows.

Unfortunately, there didn't seem to be any working electrical appliance in sight, so he couldn't immediately test that theory out, and there's no way he was gonna try and absorb the city's power lines.

"No electric devices in sight... Maybe I can find one nearby and try it out." He told himself, "But for now, I think I should call it a day for junk zapping."

It's not like he could spend the entire day zapping garbage, you know, with the power exhaustion and all.

Plus, it was still a Saturday afternoon, and usually around this time, he'd-

"Wait a sec..."

The greenette hurriedly pulled out his phone and turned it on to check the time, which was displayed as '12:30PM'.

"12:30! That means it should definitely be open by now!" He said aloud as he knew how he was gonna spend the rest of his afternoon.

Putting his phone back, the greenette suddenly raced out of the beach towards a certain destination with excitement.

'If I get there, they just might have that cool comic I saw last night!'

We are then transported to the interior of a certain store, which seems to house different aisles of literature.

Specifically, comic books.

Many people could be seen scanning the shelves containing these books, considering whether to buy them or not, and some were reading through books that seemed interesting to their eyes.

One of the people standing in one of the aisles was Izuku himself, who was searching for a certain book in particular.

"Hmm... It should be around here somewhere..." He said to himself as his eyes glanced across the various comics on the shelves.

Comics like Batman, Spider-Man, The Avengers, The Justice League, Archie Sonic. He even saw one of his favorites, Scott Pilgrim, but that wasn't what he was looking for.

Fortunately though, his eyes landed on a certain comic book cover, which just so happened to be the one he was looking for.

"Ah, sweet!" He exclaimed with a grin as he grabbed the book.

The name of the comic was 'Black Lightning', the same one he had seen last night on YouTube, and the cover contained artwork of an African-American man in a black and blue suit with accents in the form of lightning bolts emitting electricity from all over his body.

Something about the cover had enticed the freckled teenager, and it made him really eager to read it.

He skimmed through pages of the book, and most of them looked interesting to him.

"Wow. These panels are extremely cool..." He commented in amazement.

One of the pages that caught his attention was a panel of the protagonist using his electricity to slice a car in half.

'Woah~! He cut that car in half just by using electricity!' The teen stated in pure awe, 'That's so cool!' He exclaimed before he gained a thoughtful expression.

'I wonder if it'd be possible for me to do that...?'

How ironic was it that he was reading a comic about a superhero with electric powers after discovering he had electric powers?

He was eager to read more, but this wasn't a library, so he of course had to pay for it first.

'Well, I better take this to the counter and pay for it.'

Making his way towards the front desk, Midoriya walked up to the counter and was met with the cashier.

"Yooo, if it isn't my main man himself, Izuku Midoriya!" A certain individual with an afro wearing red steampunk glasses and a chain around his neck stated enthusiastically.

"Hi there, Rin." The greenette casually greeted the man behind the counter who he appeared to know.

"Wassup, my man?" The man known as Rin, who was actually the owner of the comic store, asked with a grin, "What brings you to my awesome palace of comic galore on this Saturday afternoon?" He asked while making weird hand gestures.

The greenette simply chuckled at the store clerk's behavior as he was used to it.

"Oh you know, the usual deal." The teen answered.

"Ahh, found another comic that's piqued your interest, eh?" He asked, motioning towards the book in the teen's hand.

"Yup." The teen confirmed, "And I figured it'd be neat to get your opinion on it, like I always do."

"Alrighty then. So which comic is it that caught your eye this time?"

The teen then showed the cover to the store clerk.

"This one. Black Lightning."

"Black Lightning, huh? That's a pretty cool pick in my opinion."

The sudden intrusion made the teen slightly jump, and he turned to the source of the voice only to be surprised by the sight that met him.

Standing next to him to was a girl with upturned dusky green eyes, long wavy dark moss green hair that reached just below her shoulders, and sported a pointy grin.

She was wearing a green unbuttoned plaid shirt over a T-Shirt with a T-Rex printed on it, along with denim jeans and green and white sneakers.

And if Izuku had to guess, she seemed to be around his age.

"Woah, didn't mean to scare ya there, greenie." The mystery girl assured with a wave of her hands, "I just thought I'd add my own two cents on that comic you're holding."

Midoriya looked at the random girl with surprise and a bit of confusion.

"He-Hey, Setsuna. How goes it?" Rin referred to the wavy-haired female.

"Yo, Rin!" The girl now-identified as Setsuna greeted back, "I just came by to buy a few new books for the collection, and I couldn't help overhearing your convo with green bean over here."

"Wuh-Green bean...?" Izuku repeated the nickname in confusion.

"Yeah. Green bean. Cuz you've got green hair like mine, y'know?" Setsuna explained, pointing at her own green hair, "And because you're cute like a bean."

Wait, what?

"I-I'm what now??" The wide-eyed freckled teen blurted in shock with slight pink on his cheeks.

This earned a laugh from the girl.

"Gee, relax dude." The wavy-haired girl enjoined with a smirk, "What, have you never received a compliment from a girl before?" She jokingly asked.

Izuku continued to stare at her and didn't reply, as he wasn't sure if he should answer that.

Who the heck was this girl?

"Ahh, that's right! I forgot to tell you, Midoriya!" Rin suddenly but in, "This is Setsuna Tokage. My other top customer." He mentioned the full name of the girl.

"Your other top customer?" Izuku repeated in surprise.

"Yup. She comes here about as often as you do." Rin revealed, "I'm actually kinda surprised this is your first time bumping into each other."

"So am I. I had no idea there was competition around here." Tokage added in agreement before looking at the fellow greenette, "You tryin' to take my spot as number one, green bean?" She asked in a challenging tone with a raised eyebrow, making him back up.

"Uhh... I-I didn't even know you existed until a few seconds ago, lady..." He awkwardly rebutted.

This made the girl laugh once again.

"Funny guy. I like that." She stated, "I can tell you'd be a fun guy to hang around."

Izuku blinked in surprise at the statement.

'M-Me... A fun guy to hang around...?' He mentally repeated with wide eyes.

"Oh, I've been doing all this talking and I haven't even asked for your name." Setsuna realized, "It's uhh... Midoriya, right?" She remembered the name Rin had mentioned.

"Err... Y-Yeah. I-Izuku Midoriya..." The freckled teen mentioned his full name.

"Izuku Midoriya, huh? That's a pretty cool name." She complimented with a grin before pointing a thumb at herself, "I'm Setsuna Tokage! But you already know that. Nice to meet ya, greenie!" She beamed, offering a handshake.

"U-Uhh... N-Nice to meet you too..." Izuku repeated as he awkwardly accepted the handshake.

"So, you were taking about buying Black Lightning." Setsuna reminded.

"Y-Yeah... Have you read it?" Izuku asked curiously.

"Yeah, I've read some of it, and most of it was pretty cool." She answered genuinely, "Best I can say is you won't be wasting your money purchasing it."

If she liked it then that probably meant it was promising.

"O-Okay then..." He replied before turning back to the owner of the store, "W-What're your thoughts then, Rin?"

"Oh yeah, Black Lightning's a real good one." The store owner with steampunk glasses added his two cents, "I was even readin' it myself yesterday. Knowing you, I'm sure you'll enjoy it."

Well, if both Rin and that Setsuna girl had positive things to say about the book, then he might as well go through with buying it.

"O-Okay then, in that case. I'll take it." The greenette made his mind up, placing the necessary money on the counter, which the store owner gladly accepted and bagged.

"Smart choice." He complimented, handing Deku the bag.

"And I'll be buying another issue of Dino Force, as usual." The green haired girl stated as she placed a certain comic on the counter, along with the required money.

"Pfft, not surprised." Rin remarked as he gave her the comic in a bag.

However, the other greenette looked at the girl with surprise.

"Wait a sec, you read Dino Force?" He repeated in wonder, gaining the attention of the other teen.

"Yeah..." Setsuna confirmed before her eyes slowly widened, "Hold on... Are you a DF reader too...?!" She questioned with

"Heck yeah I am! I love that series!" Izuku answered enthusiastically, "I even read the latest issue a few days ago!"

This made the green-haired girl let out a quiet gasp of both shock and awe.

"No way...! I've never met another person my age that's into those comics!" Tokage commented.

"Yeah, they're super underrated!" Midoriya stated with undying passion, "It totally deserves a bigger fan base than the one it has!"

Setsuna stared at the boy with wide eyes before she clamped a hand on his shoulder, catching him off guard.

"Midoriya. I've only known you for a few seconds, but I think you and I should totally hang out." She declared with a serious look.

"Wuh-Y-You want to hang out with, me?" The electric teen asked in disbelief, pointing at himself.

"Yeah! I can already tell you and I are gonna get along just fine." She confirmed with a grin, "Plus you seem pretty interesting, and I feel like you and I should get to know each other!"

Izuku felt his shock grow even further at her statement.

'S-She thinks I'm interesting...??'

Since childhood, Izuku knew he looked like a plan kid, and there wasn't anything special about him, especially considering the whole quirkless thing.

And yet here he was being called interesting by a girl he had just met.

A pretty girl at that!

"Hey, let's go out for some lunch together." Setsuna suggested, "I know a real good fast food joint around here. Whaddya say?"

The greenette thought over her offer for a bit before responding.

"Uhm... Sure-"

"Great! Let's get outta here!" She exclaimed as she grabbed the boy's arm and rushed out of the store.

"Wha-H-Hey?!" Izuku yelled as he was dragged along.

The sound of the store entrance closing boomed after the teens exited, and the owner of the store himself had been watching the entire interaction with a smirk up until they left.

"Something tells me this is gonna be quite interesting..." Rin commented.

Inside a certain burger joint, Izuku and Setsuna could be seen sitting at a certain table, eating their food.

Setsuna bit into her cheeseburger and sighed in delight.

"Maan~ I know American food isn't all that healthy, but I can't help it. It tastes so damn good!" She stated in glee before chowing down once again.

Izuku awkwardly chuckled at her behavior as he ate one of his fries.

After a few minutes, the green-haired girl had already finished her food, while Izuku still had a few fries and a burger left.

"*Sigh* Now that was satisfying." Tokage relaxed in her seat.

"W-Wow... You're already done with your meal..." Izuku commented with a sweatdrop.

"Yup! It's hard for me to slow down whenever there's food like this in front of me." She replied with a chuckle.

"But enough about me. What kind of stuff are you into?" She asked curiously.

"What am I into?" Deku repeated with a raised eyebrow, slightly confused.

"Yeah! Like, what kind of stuff're you into?" She questioned, "I know you like comics, obviously, but what else interests you?" She added, placing her chin in her palm.

"W-Well, uhh..." He mused as he thought back to his interests.

A tiny part of him was considering lying about his interests to not seem like a dork, since that's what most other people thought about his likes and hobbies.

Although the logical part of him knew that would just be lame and show off extreme insecurity.

So, he'd be honest about them.

"Well, like you said, I am into collecting comic books..." He confirmed as he rubbed the back of his head, "And I do also like to play video games... But my main passion is heroics..."

"Oh! You're into heroes?" The girl opposite him asked.

"Y-Yeah... Since I was a kid, I've always been fascinated by them..." He revealed, "I'd watch a lot of videos of heroes in action when I was younger, and even just watch interviews of them too..."

"W-Well to be honest, I still kinda do that stuff..." He admitted sheepishly.

"Sooo, you're pretty much a hero nerd?" The girl in front of him asked with an amused expression.

"U-Uhm... Yeah..." Midoriya sighed with slumped shoulders.

She hummed in what seemed to be interest.

"Sooo, that means you wanna become a hero yourself, am I right?" The green-haired girl questioned.

"Yeah... It's always been my dream since childhood..." Izuku confirmed, which made the girl gasp.

"Aww dude, that's awesome!" She praised, startling Deku, "You and I both have the same goal!"

Her revelation greatly surprised the freckled teenager.

"Wait, a-are you saying you also want to become a hero?!" He asked with surprise.

"Hell yeah, dude!" The girl confirmed with a toothy grin, "I've always dreamed of being a hero! It's the coolest thing ever!"

"Kicking bad guys' asses and getting to save a bunch of people, not to mention the snazzy costumes." She gushed, "It's all totally badass!"

Izuku blinked as he stared at the girl in shock.

"Woah... That's... That's almost exactly how I feel about heroes too!" Izuku beamed, "Though... I probably would've described it without using 'badass'..." He awkwardly stated with a sweatdrop.

This earned him an amused laugh.

"Y'know, you're a pretty funny guy, Izzy." She complimented the teen.

"I-Izzy...?" Izuku repeated the nickname with a mix of confusion and bewilderment.

"Yeah. Cuz y'know, your name's Izuku?" She replied, "Izuku. Izzy. Izzy. Izuku. I-zuku. I-zzy-"

"Y-Yeah yeah, I think I got it." Midoriya quickly stopped her with a sweatdrop.

"So do you mind if I call you Izzy or not? Cuz I can refer to you regularly if you want."

The teen in question silently thought it over before flashing a sheepish grin.

"U-Uh, sure. I don't mind if you call me by that nickname." He assured her.

"Sweet! Thanks, Izzy!" Setsuna grinned, making him chuckle

He didn't realize it, but he was slowly starting to enjoy this girl's company.

"Oo, oo! I forgot to ask!" The girl suddenly remembered, "Who's your favorite pro hero? Mine is Godzillo." She stated.

Midoriya's eyes widened at her revelation.

"G-Godzillo?!" He repeated the name in bewilderment, "You mean the 13 foot tall pro hero who looks like a lizard??"

"You got it!" She confirmed, "Man, I friggin' LOVE that guy! He's just so darn huge and cool-lookin'! I wish I could meet him one day~!" She gushed over the pro hero with stars in her eyes.

The freckled teen awkwardly watched her as she gushed over the large pro hero.

However, he then noticed the T-Rex design that had been printed on her T-Shirt, and it didn't take long for him to figure out why she liked the pro.

"Hey, Setsuna." He called, gaining her attention, "Are you a fan of dinosaurs...?" He questioned, surprising her.

"Y-Yeah..." She confirmed, still in a bit of amazement, "How did you know...?"

"Well... There's a T-Rex logo on your shirt, so I kinda assumed..." He revealed, pointing towards the design.

The girl looked down at said logo.

"Oooh! Pfft, well duh!" She joked, lightly smacking her head, "Hold on... Were you staring at my chest??" She asked with a skeptical look.

"Wait W-WHAT?!" The teen opposite her exclaimed in shock with widened eyes.

"Wow. So you're actually a pervert. I expected better from you, green bean." She said in a disappointing tone, crossing her arms.

"HUH?! W-WAITWAITWAITYOU'VEGOTITALLWRONG!!I-I'DNEVERDOSOMETHINGLIKETHAT!!" The greenette embarrassingly defended himself, flailing his arms, "I-I'MNOTTHATTYPEOFPERSONIPROMI-!!"

His tangent was interrupted by boisterous laughter coming from the previously disappointed girl.

"Oh my gosh, you should've seen the look on your face, haha!" She laughed.

"Uhhh... W-What?" Izuku blurted in confusion as she tried to calm down.

"I was just messing with you, dude." She revealed as she wiped a tear from her eye, "You're definitely not bold enough to do that."

"Although I gotta say, you look pretty cute when you're flustered." She complimented with a smirk, surprising Midoriya.

"U-Uhm... T-Thanks, I guess..." He shyly accepted the compliment.

"Heh heh. Anyways, back to what we were talking about before." She returned to the previous topic, "Yeah, you're right. I'm a dinosaur fanatic. I've always liked 'em. Ever since I was little." She admitted.

"When I was about 3 or 4, my parents were watching Jurassic Park, and they decided let me watch it with them. After that, I was pretty much fascinated by dinosaurs and tried to learn more about their history and lore." She revealed, "So basically, in the way that you're a nerd when it comes to heroes, I'm also a nerd when it comes to dinos."

"So technically, we're both huge nerds." She joked with a grin.

"Um, yeah, I guess so." He agreed with a chuckle, "I'm guessing it wouldn't be wrong for me to assume the reason you like Godzillo so much is because he resembles a dinosaur?"

"Right on the money, greenie!" Setsuna confirmed, "Oh yeah, I told you my favorite pro hero. So, who's your's?" She questioned.

"Well... It might sound kind of generic..." Midoriya stated shyly, "But, it's All Might." He told the truth.

"Ahh, being predictable now, are we?" She lightly teased, making him scratch his cheek in slight embarrassment.

"Y-Yeah, I know... But I can't help it." He replied with slightly flushed cheeks, "He's just so incredible! I've idolized him ever since I was a little kid."

"He's actually the main reason I wanted to become a hero in the first place." The greenette revealed, "Seeing him save so many people with a smile on his face, and hearing him shout his famous catchphrase, it's always so darn inspirational!" He gushed.

"Wow. Somebody's a fanboy." She teased, flustering the boy, "But I don't blame you. All Might is pretty rad."

"Y-Yeah, he really is." The freckled teen agreed as he moved to remove another french fry.

"Hey, mind if I have a fry?" Setsuna asked.

"Oh uh, sure, no problem." Midoroya replied.

With that, he watched as she reached her hand out to grab a fry from his fry holder.

And he watched as it suddenly detached from her body and fell into the holder.

.

.

.

He stared at the hand in his fry holder, showing no reaction for a few seconds before his pupils suddenly shrank.

"W-WHAT?! Y-YOUR HAND! OH MY GOSH, Y-YOUR HAND FELL OFF!!" He exclaimed in both shock and terror, "OH MAN, OH MAN! WE NEED TO GET YOU TO HOSPITAL!! WE NEED TO-!"

He slowly stopped his freak out when he noticed the girl was holding back laughter with her remaining hand.

Once she saw him stare at her with confusion, she finally burst into laughter.

"Oh man, it never gets old, hahahaa!" She laughed.

Izuku continued to stare at her with confusion, not sure what to think. Although it slowly transformed into bewilderment when he saw the hand float and attach itself back to Setsuna's wrist.

"...Wut?" He muttered with a blank expression.

"Dude, chill, its alright." Setsuna said, finally having calmed down from her fit of laughter, "My hand didn't fall off. That was just me using my quirk.

"Your... Quirk...?" He repeated with growing surprise, and a tiny bit of confusion.

"Eyup!" She replied, "I bet you're just aching to hear me talk about my totally amazing quirk, aren't ya?" She asked, striking a dramatic pose.

"Well... I would like to hear what exactly it is, soo..."

"Alrighty then, since I showed ya, I guess it's only fair I explain." She started before she began.

"My quirk is called Lizard Tail Splitter." The greenette revealed the name of her quirk as she detached her right arm and made it float, "Like the name says, I can split pieces off from my body. Although, my quirk also lets me control whichever part I've detached with my mind."

"Whoa!" Midoriya exclaimed when he saw the floating hand, "S-So when you split off a part of your body, you can telekinetically control it?"

"Yeah! That's the word I was looking for!" Setsuna confirmed, "Oh, and not only can I make them float, but I can also still move them. Like this."

At that, the girl wiggled the fingers on her floating hand, stunning Izuku.

"Holy moly...!" He uttered.

"Holy moly is right, Izzy." Setsuna replied with a smirk.

"Wait, so if you somehow lost one of your detached body parts, what would happen to them?" The boy asked with curiosity.

"Oh yeah, I can just regenerate them."

"Seriously?!" Deku exclaimed in shock, earning a nod.

"Mhm! I'm not gonna explain how, but I found that out at a pretty young age." She revealed.

'Huh... Then I guess that explains the lizard tail part in her quirk's name...' The electric teen mentally deduced.

"Wow... Your quirk really is amazing, Tokage." Midoriya complimented in awe, earning a cheeky grin, "It's super versatile!"

"You really think so?" She asked with raised eyebrows.

"Yeah! I can already think of multiple ways it can be used in hero work! Like your eyes! You could split them into various pieces to get multiple viewpoints, which would be very helpful during spy missions! And you can even detach certain parts of your body and use them for long ranged combat! Although I don't really know if that'd be effective since I don't know how strong you are, but maybe splitting your parts into individual pieces could make it harder for an opponent to defend against, yeah that makes sense! Plus the telekinetic aspect of your quirk would be hard to get around for certain people so I'm sure that-"

"Uhh, Izzy?"

Said teen was snapped out of his rambling and was met with a look from Setsuna that displayed both confusion and awkwardness.

"...What the hell was that just now?"

Izuku gained an embarrassed expression when he realized what just happened and let out a groan into his palms.

"I-I'm sorry you had to see that..." He sheepishly apologized, rubbing his head, "I have a bad habit of muttering stuff outloud without realizing it." He revealed.

"Oh... Uhh, I see..." The girl replied, not really sure how to respond.

'Great, she thinks I'm a weirdo now...' Midoriya whined in his head, 'She's probably just gonna insult me now and leave...'

"I'm not gonna lie, that was pretty funny."

The fellow greenette sharply raised his head to look at her incredulously.

"Wait. Y-You thought my muttering was funny...?"

"Well, yeah! I mean, it was kinda odd, but I don't mind it." Setsuna answered truthfully, "Besides, I got see you look adorably embarrassed again!" She teased.

Midoriya couldn't help but blush at that.

"Just try not to do that again in public, okay?" She kindly advised, "Don't want people givin' ya crazy stares now."

"I-Im not sure if I can promise that..."

"What, is that hard for you to control it?" She asked with a smirk, in a joking manner, only for it to drop when she saw no change of emotion on his face, "Oh... It is..."

"Well, m-moving on from that..." She tried to move on to a new topic, "I showed you what my quirk is, so whats yours?"

The question slightly took Midoriya aback.

"M-My quirk? Uhh..." He trailed off in thought, wondering what he should say.

It was kinda difficult considering he had a meta-ability, but it wasn't a quirk.

And he couldn't exactly tell her the truth behind it, since obtaining quirks was an alien concept.

But eventually, the teen finally came to a conclusion on what to say.

"My uhh... My quirk is, Electromagnetism." He half-lied.

"Electromagnetism?" Setsuna repeated with a raised eyebrow, "How does that work?"

"Well uh, it allows me to generate and absorb electric energy, and as a result, I can pretty much manipulate electricity however I want to." He answered.

It wasn't too far from the truth after all.

"Wait, you mean your quirk lets you control electricity?" Tokage asked with slightly raised eyebrows.

"Yeah. Like this." The greenette demonstrated by raising his hand and allowing slight electricity to crackle through it.

"Huh..." The fellow greenette uttered in wonder, "No wonder you were so interested in Black Lightning." She stated with a grin before suddenly getting excited.

"You've totally gotta let me see it in action!"

"Wuh-You want to see me use my quirk?" He asked with surprise.

"Of course I do! I showed off mine so it's only fair you show off yours, right?" Setsuna questioned with a smirk, "C'mon lemme see!"

"W-Well, I mean... It's not that I don't want to, but, I can't exactly use it in here." The greenette awkwardly explained, "My quirk is kind of destructive..."

"Seriously?" Setsuna asked, "Then it must be a pretty powerful quirk."

"Yeah, pretty much..."

"Hmm... If that's the case, then don't you know any safe places where you can test it out without being bothered?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

The question made Midoriya suddenly perk up, and he couldn't help but grin.

"As a matter of fact, I do...!"

ZAP!

BOOM!

"Woah!" Setsuna exclaimed in shock.

"Haha! See? I told you I could show the full extent of my quirk in an open area!" Izuku boasted as he flew atop a car and zapped another piece of garbage.

After he had finished up his meal at the burger joint, Izuku led Setsuna to Takoba Municipal Park, the one place he knew he could show off his quirk, in order to do just that.

And he was indeed doing just that.

The lizard-like girl was watching Izuku fly around the dump of a beach on a car with incredible balance, an awestruck expression on her face as she watched him destroy different pieces of junk with electric blasts.

"Holy crap! You're shooting out bolts of electricity left and right!" She exclaimed.

"Uh-huh!" Midoriya affirmed with crossed arms, "Oh! And that's not all I can do!" He stated before he shot out a bolt of electricity from his hand, grabbing a crumbled metal pole and swinging it towards another metal object, making it stick.

"No way! Levitation, too?!" Setsuna observed with comically wide eyes.

"Yup! Talk about your static cling!" He joked with a chuckle at her bewilderment.

And it donned on Setsuna right there what he meant by naming his quirk "Electromagnetism".

'It's a good thing I found a random generator to absorb energy from... Because now I have enough juice to do this!'

Recreating the awesome move he performed earlier, Izuku shot out another 'Hadoken' at a piece of junk, obliterating it and making Setsuna gasp.

"Oh. My. Gosh. YOU JUST DID A HADOKEN! I'M SO CONFUSED BUT I LOVE IT!!" She exclaimed in wonder and shock.

"Haha, I know right?! I ouldn't believe it myself when it worked!" He replied.

Eventually, after a few more minutes of the flashy display of his abilities, Izuku decided it was enough and let the car land before jumping off and walking towards Setsuna.

"Well, now that you've seen what my quirk can do, what do you think?" The electricity user asked for her opinion.

"Dude... Your quirk is fucking AWESOME!" Setsuna praised in sheer awe, slightly taking Izuku aback, "I had no idea how much you could with your electricity! You looked so damn cool!"

"O-Oh! Uhh... Y-You really mean that?" He sheepishly asked, scratching his cheek.

"Hell yeah! You were all like, BZZZ ZAP! ZAP! BOOM! BOOM! ZZAP!" She mimicked his movements as if she were a child, "And not to mention that Street Fighter 2 move you did!"

"I thought my quirk was pretty versatile but hot damn! Yours is totally on another level!" She praised, "You could definitely become a kickass hero with your ability!"

"O-Oh, uhm... T-Thank you, Tokage..." He thanked with a shy smile, earning a grin in return.

"Say, instead of standing on our feet, wanna sit down somewhere and get more comfortable?" She offered.

"Oh, sure! We can do that." Izuku agreed.

With the agreement settled, the teen found a spot on the sand for both of them to sit at, and with that, they got pretty comfortable, with Midoriya sat in a squat whilst Setsuna rested her arms on her knees.

"Soo, Izzy, there's something I wanna ask you."

"Oh, okay. What is it?"

"Since your obviously striving towards being a hero, like I am, what hero school are you gunning for?" She asked with curiosity.

"Well... I've always had my sights on U.A..." He admitted.

"Wait, seriously??" She asked in surprise, earning a nod, "Dude... I'm also going to U.A!"

Izuku gasped in response, "Really?!"

"Of course I am! U.A.'s like the best hero school in the nation, dude!" She answered.

"Yeah, that's exactly why I want to go there, too!" He beamed, "So are you going to take part in the school's entrance exam in the next 10 months?"

The question suddenly made Setsuna remember something, and she grinned.

"Actually my dear green bean... You just reminded me... I actually don't even need to take the entrance exams to enter U.A." She stated with confidence, confusing Izuku, "Because this girl right here already got accepted thanks to a little something called, recommendations."

Izuku's eyes widened at the revelation.

"Wait, you're part of the recommendation students?!" Midoriya asked in shock.

"That's right!" Setsuna confirmed, "I'm pretty much already a student of U.A! I've just gotta wait a few months before it can become official."

You see, U.A also has a system for enrolling new students that's different from the entrance exams, specifically named, "Recommendation".

Pupils who belong to wealthy/high-ranking hero families can be accepted into U.A without going through the entrance exam if they are scouted by U.A themselves or recommended to the school by a high figure.

Then, the recommended students themselves have to partake in a test involving their quirks to see if they are worthy of being in U.A, and once you pass, you're spot in the school is guaranteed.

Recommend students are usually held in high regard since being one means you're very skilled and have great potential.

And it seems Setsuna fell into that category!

"Woah... If you managed to get in through recommendations then that means you really are amazing, Setsuna!" He stated in awe.

"Well what can I say? I'm just that awesome." She playfully boasted, brushing her hair, "Although... After seeing your quirk, I'm not too sure mine falls in the amazing section..." She uttered a bit sheepishly.

"Huh? But that doesn't mean anything." Izuku countered with a raised eyebrow, "I still think your quirk is awesome."

"Y-You do...?" Setsuna asked, her eyes slowly widening.

"Of course I do!" The boy confirmed, "Honestly, your quirk is just as amazing as you are! There are so many ways it could be beneficial in hero work, and it's obvious that the higher ups at U.A knew that since they accepted you!"

"You shouldn't ever think your quirk is lame, Tokage, because it's definitely pro-hero material! And I'm positive that you have what it takes to become a hero!" He truthfully praised with a grin.

The praise made the green-haired girl go silent, and she stared at Midoriya with a slightly dumbfounded expression.

And if one could look hard enough, there was a slight hint of pink on her cheeks.

Suddenly, the usually outgoing and flirty girl averted her gaze, hiding half of her face with her hair.

"G-Gee, Izzy... I had no idea you were such a charmer..." She sheepishly teased, "Is this your way of trying to make me fall for you...?"

"Wuh-N-No! Not at all! I-I was just complimenting you!" The greenette defended himself with a blush.

He stopped when he heard slight giggling come from the girl opposite him.

"Man, teasing you is way too fun!" She said with a grin.

"But seriously, thanks, Midoriya." She thanked sincerely, "That was really nice of you, and I actually feel a lot more motivated to be a hero. So thanks again."

"You're welcome." He replied with a bright smile.

Something about his smile made Setsuna stare at the boy.

It seemed so damn... pure...

"Y'know, you might actually be my type of boy after all, greenie."

"W-Wait WHAT?!" Izuku uttered in sudden shock.

"Pffft, haha! Just messing with you!" She laughed before mischievously smirking, "Or am I...?"

"P-Please don't joke around like that..." The freckled teen pleaded with slumped shoulders, making Setsuna laugh once again.

Even though he was a bit irritated, Izuku couldn't fight the smile that grew on his face.

Even though he had just met her not too long ago, he was really enjoying hanging out with Setsuna, and you could call him crazy all you want, but to him, it felt like a new friendship was brewing between them.

After that, the two teenagers continued to talk about various topics, chatting the day away at the beach.

And if Izuku was enjoying being around Setsuna, then you can bet it was the same for her.

Eventually, it was starting to get dark out, and both of the teens noticed.

This prompted Izuku to take out his phone, and check the time.

"Woah! It's already 6 in the evening!" He commented in surprise

"Damn, 6 in the evening? Were we really chatting that long?" She asked in astonishment.

"I guess so..." Izuku answered.

"Sooo, do you wanna hang out some more or call it a night?" Setsuna questioned.

Izuku thought it over before responding.

"As much I want to say I'll stay here with you, I'm kind of tired at the moment..." Deku answered with a yawn, only to panic, "N-Not because you're boring or anything! I-I just-!"

"Pfft! Dude, chill!" Setsuna said with a slight laugh, "It's okay, I get what you mean. If I'm being honest, I'm kinda tired myself too."

"Oh, okay... So, is this where we part ways...?" Izuku asked, slightly sad at the thought that he was going to have to part ways with her.

"Yeah, I guess so..." Setsuna responded in a similar manner, before her eyes suddenly lit up, "Hold on... Gimme your phone!"

"Huh? Why...?"

"Just do it!"

"O-Okay, jeez!" He gave in, handing her his phone.

The freckled teen watched her as she vigorously tapped away on his screen before finally handing it back to him.

"Aand, done!"

Midoriya analyzed his screen only to widen his eyes in surprise.

"Did you just-?"

"Yup. I just gave you my number." Setsuna confirmed with a grin, "Now we can call and text each other when we get back home!"

"Huh... Smart idea..." The freckled teen complimented.

"I know." The girl responded. "Well, I'm gonna head off back home. I'll make sure to text you when I get back home."

"Sure, I'll do the same."

"Alrighty then." Setsuna nodded as she began to walk away, "See ya later, Izzy!"

"Yeah, you too, Tokage!" He shouted back with a wave.

After watching her walk off, the teen was finally by himself, and it only took a few seconds for realization to sit in.

'H-HOLY WOAH! I JUST TALKED TO A GIRL AND GOT HER NUMBER!!'

At first, Izuku was never popular with girls, and could almost never yold a conversation, since most of them wanted nothing to do with him. Due to that, he thought there would never exist a chance whereby he talked to a girl.

And yet now, he had not only talked to a girl that he had just met, but also managed to befriend her AND get her number!

The greenette stood in place for a few seconds before he eventually jumped with joy.

"AW YEAH!"

Today was proving to be an eventful day for our green-haired protagonist.

First, he woke up in his house after he was sure he had died during the situation at docks, then he learned that he had gained superpowers from.that purple gas, a really powerful superpower at that, and on top of that, he finally talked to s girl for the first time! And the girl thought he was cool!

'This might just be the best day of my entire life!' He beamed, balling his palm into a fist with electricity, 'If this is a dream...! Well, I probably would've woken up by now, but this is still awesome!'

'I feel like I'm over the moon! Nothing could ruin this day for me!'

Right when the teen thought that, he suddenly got a notification from his phone.

"Huh... Did Setsuna get home already? That sure was fast."

However, when the greenette turned on his phone and checked the notification, he gasped when he realized he did get a text, but it wasn't from Setsuna...
