Ok so I'm going to clear the air about a few things. If anyone has questions about anything else, please let me know.
The Mikaelsons, they are not stabbed with daggers or in boxes, Klaus has an interesting backstory as does Kol. They are all successful and whatnot.
Finn started a supernatural school for anyone who is like him, didn't want to become a monster but he teaches them control and how to live in the world without showing off, he's a teacher and he lives in South America but he has schools everywhere.
Elijah is a business man and has multiple companies in different countries all over the world.
Klaus is a successful artist and helps his siblings become even more successful but mostly stays to himself left he needs to be out and about.
Rebekah lives in the world of fashion and beauty, she has her own line of clothes and makeup and she's a model.
Kol, while he hates the living, he loves witches and baseball. He tried out baseball about 20 years ago and fell in love with the sport and is one hell of a player. Kol might be on a baseball card. Although that's their day job their nights are a different story, which will be told another time.
Pearl and Harper are the only ones out of the tomb because the others would ruin the peace and the Bennetts made sure none of the vampires could get out beside those two. Pearl and Anna met Harper when he was a little boy wanting to become a soldier. Anna and Harper develop a sibling bond when it was time to go they made sure to keep taps on the boy. Once they heard he joined the army they quickly made their way to him and found him in a pool of his own blood and turned him. He's been part of their family ever since but then they met Katherine. The other vampires only care about is feeding so Anna had no love for them so, Kol and Sin burn them with fire.
Ben is dead due to Damon because he thought he lost Katherine. Damon went back to the tomb that night, a little too late and saw the fire, he called out for Katherine but he couldn't get to her. He thought he lost her forever and that's when Ben showed up and Damon killed him.
Jenna is a lot smarter and more of an adult when needed, because she deals with Mia and Sin daily. She knows the Mikaelsons and the Supernatural world. She is a Collator. (Pretty much think Supernatural's Men of Letters but Vampire Diaries style, which is mostly women and not many men.) She has information about vampires, werewolves, witches and every supernatural creature out in the world. Also the creatures of the night are called occult, it means mystery.
Stefan doesn't remember the Mikaelsons but he will soon at the moment he just has deja vu. Rebekah does keep tabs on him and tries to stay away just in case because only Klaus can make him remember. Rebekah and Stefan didn't date back in the 20s. They had fun and treated each other like siblings and that was that.
Mia and Sin no longer have to go to school but they can become TAs and they are going to graduate with their class next year. But they're taking a break for the time being... sort of.
Caroline and Matt are just friends. Caroline is going to date Tyler a bit early in this story. It's going to be a different turn out when Caroline turns because Tyler has the gene. Caroline has a pen pal as well, but no one but Sin knows who it is.
Tom Avery is going to show up again but the whole Silas storyline is still up in the air, I'm still figuring that part out. Tom is in college but he's going to transfer to Mystics Falls to get an idea what other towns are like and he meets the gang. He's also Elena's pen pal, they only talk about normal stuff and sometimes Elena complains about her boy troubles. Tom helps her out but somehow likes her every time they talk, it's the same with her.
Katherine is going to show up but she's going to have to be very careful because the Mikaelsons are in town. She's still devious and all but she's going to meet her match and she has no idea where Klaus is. She's still going to make a mess in town.
Kol and Rebekah are twins, Kol likes Bonnie and she likes him back but they are going to have a few challenges here and there. Rebekah likes Matt but they aren't together yet, she likes how he treats her like a normal girl and tries his best to woo her. Since he doesn't know she's rich.
There will be more changes but you all have to wait for those. I hope this helps, if not... I'm sorry.
