Going forward they will continue to deal with the ongoing war and most importantly their coming baby. Maybe we will be seeing a few more Clone Wars plot lines as we get closer to ROTS. Thanks again to all our readers and reviewers! We greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on our work. Enjoy!

Chapter One Hundred and Nine

**Meagan's Point of View**

When Obi-Wan and I arrived in a small gallery room, Ahsoka and Anakin were already there. I had barely sat down when Dalton walked in, a large bottle in one hand and several glasses in his other.

Smiling he held it up. "I thought we could celebrate." He gave me a glance. "Sorry, Meagan, none for you."

"If that's what I think it is, I don't like it anyway. It's too strong for me." I said, not too hurt about missing a drink, at least that one.

"Sounds like something I would like." Anakin said as we settled down around the table and Obi-Wan found nonalcoholic drinks for both myself and Ahsoka. We also found a few snacks and spread them out over the table between us.

At some point, in a loll in the conversation, Dalton looked over to Anakin. "Rosabella says hi. She said she enjoyed meeting you but our grandsons were disappointed not to see you once it was rumored you were around."

Anakin smiled. "I am glad you were able to contact her; she was a little worried about you."

Dalton smiled, taking a sip of his drink. "She was pretty relieved to know we are all alright."

Obi-Wan was glancing between the two, setting down his glass. "How did you find her?"

Before Anakin could answer, I did. "Jema knows."

Anakin nodded, agreeing with my statement. "While I was trying to track and find you, after I found a lead, she confided it to me so I haven't mentioned it to anyone else."

Obi-Wan was a little cautious and then looked towards me. "How did she know that?"

I gave a little shrug. "I had to confirm it somehow."

Anakin looked towards Obi-Wan. "So you know now?"

"Yes." Obi-Wan said without elaborating.

I glanced over and found Dalton looking more than amused at this conversation while Ahsoka looked confused and I could not help but chuckle which started Dalton laughing.

"This conversation sounds so surreal." I told him, still laughing a little.

Dalton agreed. "It is funny to watch you guys try to figure out who knows what and I just want to say Rosabella does know."

Anakin nodded. "I sort of guessed that after talking to her."

I couldn't help but gloat. "But he already told me that."

Anakin and Dalton laughed while Obi-Wan shook his head. Poor Ahsoka was looking so confused that Dalton asked. "Should we tell this young one?"

Obi-Wan looked to Dalton. "I am okay with it as long as it stays between all of us, but it is really your decision."

Dalton just shrugged. "I'm okay with it. I'm rather proud to claim it."

I wasn't too surprised to hear that as the men exchanged glances before Dalton turned to Ahsoka.

"I'm Obi-Wan's father."

Ahsoka glanced from Dalton to Obi-Wan to Dalton again before speaking. "Oh wow, I wasn't expecting that, but it really makes sense."

Her comment launched us into a discussion with us telling Anakin and Ahsoka how I met Dalton and then learned who he was and how he saved our lives.

While it was fun to catch up, at some point I turned to Obi-Wan and Anakin. "We can contact the Temple, can't we? I want to talk to Sasha."

"Yes we can." Obi-Wan and Anakin exchanged glances. "We were just waiting till Padme could pick her up from her classes. We didn't want to disrupt her normal routine."

While that made sense and a part of me agreed with it, another part didn't care, that I wanted to see her right now. But knowing Obi-Wan wouldn't budge and knowing we would have more privacy when she was at Padme's than somewhere in the Temple, made me rather reluctantly agree.

So we continued to talk and share drinks together for the next while. At some point, Dalton and Ahsoka made themselves scarce so we could have some privacy as Anakin connected with Padme.

"Oh it is so good to see you." Padme exclaimed. "Are you all okay?"

Knowing what she asking, I answered. "Master Jessie, a healer is on board and said we are fine."

Padme looked relieved at that.

"Thank you for taking care of Sasha." Obi-Wan said filling the brief silence. "Does she know?"

"She knows Anakin was getting close to finding you but that you've been found, no." Padme turned, probably looking toward another room. "I thought it would be a good surprise for her."

We agreed before Padme rose, obviously going to get Sasha. As we soon heard the door slid open, I could hear Padme directing Sasha towards us and hearing my daughter's voice, I starting to fight the tears. I grasped a hold of Obi-Wan's hand.

"Mummy, Daddy." Sasha's face was suddenly in front of us, jumping in her seat. "I missed you so much. Uncle Anakin said you would come home."

"We missed you too." I managed to say through a few tears, glancing toward Obi-Wan to find tears in his eyes too. "What have you been doing lately?"

Sasha nodded. "Skyler and I went rock climbing, he was helping me with bigger rocks. We play together when we are all in the gardens."

For the next while, we were catching up with her, her showing us her new shoes, telling us about her classes. It was obvious Padme and Anakin had taken good care of her.

We talked for a while before I realized it must be getting close to her bedtime. It was not a surprise she put up a bit of a fuss. Though we walked her through her normal routine and told her a bedtime story as she settled into her bed at Padme and Anakin's home.

"And the geeling on the ceiling." Thankfully we had told her enough stories where we could do them from memory, especially Obi-Wan. "and the zower in my shower and the zillow on my pillow." Sasha was smiling as Obi-Wan finished the story. "I don't care if you believe it. That's the kind of house I live in. And I hope we never leave it."

"We love you Sasha and will be home soon." We told her as I could see her fighting to keep her eyes open. "Be a good girl. "

"Love you too."

After Sasha drifted off to sleep, we talked for a moment or two with Padme before we turned off the connection. Of course, I nearly immediately burst into tears, missing my daughter so much, more so now that I had seen how she was doing.

Obi-Wan pulled me close as I managed to bring myself under control. "We'll be home soon. She'll be fine."

"I know, but I'm glad we were able to see her."

Obi-Wan looked like he was a bit emotional himself as he wiped a few stray tears from my face. "Me too."

It was not that much later when it was obviously time for us to say goodbye to Dalton and head for home. Dalton, with Anakin's help, had repaired a few things and refueled his ship.

"I should be heading for home." Dalton told me as I stood nearby in tears. "Rosabella will be expecting me sometime soon."

"I know." I certainly understood he needed to go home, see his wife, children, grandchildren but it had been so good to get to know my father in law. "I don't think we can ever thank you enough."

Dalton gave me a smile. "You never have to thank me. Even with all the dangers I would do it all again."

Fighting the tears, we shared a long hug goodbye.

"Meagan, take care of yourself." He told me with a sad smile. "Keep in touch if you can, I want to hear more about my next grandchild."

I gave a little laugh not too surprised to hear him say that. "I think I can do that."

"Did you get everything off the ship?" He asked me as I heard Obi-Wan come up from behind us.

"I'd better go check." Shaking my head, I headed up the gangplank, leaving my husband with his father.

**Obi-Wan's point of view**

Once Meagan had disappeared on the ship, I wondered what to say to Dalton, how to thank him, but he spoke first.

"Obi-Wan, I mentioned this to Meagan the first time we met, but wanted to tell you too." Dalton started out, speaking quietly.

I glanced up to him, wondering what this would be about.

"If this war goes ill for the Republic, and I think we both know it can, your family will always have a home with us." I was about to protest but he continued on, his voice lower, more intense. "Do you really think someone like Count Dooku will let your children live especially after what just happened? Rosabella has a rather large extended family and some of them have stayed on our land before, so it won't alarm anyone."

"And they would just blend right in?" I asked quietly, honestly curious to how this would work.

Dalton smiled. "Actually they would. Apparently men in her family have long been attracted to red heads, so half the family has some sort of shade of it. All we have to do is tell everyone that a distant cousin of ours was displaced during the war and needed at least a temporary home and I do not think it would cause too much of a stir in the local community." He paused for a long moment before continuing on. "Though I think your siblings would find out at some point."

It was still odd to think that I had siblings but it did make sense since he often talked about his grandchildren that were not named Sasha. "Do they know about Meagan and I?"

He sighed. "They know they have an older brother that I gave up, but I do not think they have discovered or figured out that's it's you."

I filed that thought away for later but decided to concentrate on the more important part, his offer. His point that we could lose the war, putting all of our lives in danger was very realistic. Then with another baby on the way, it would not hurt to keep that in mind. "Thank you."

It was quiet between us for long moments, I was unsure of what to say next. Meanwhile, Meagan had come off the ship with the few belongings we had.

"I think I have everything." She said, smiling at us as she set down the bag. "Are you ready to take off?"

Dalton nodded. "She's all fueled and ready to go."

I was not surprised to see tears in Meagan's eyes as she hugged Dalton goodbye again.

Once they had let go, Dalton turned to me. "Take care of your family."

"I will." There was silence for a moment before I managed. "I do not think thank you would be enough to cover what you did for us…."

"You never have to thank me." Dalton smiled slightly as we grasped each other's arms in goodbye.

After our final words, he turned and boarded the ship. Then, Meagan and I watched his ship pull out of the hanger bay. I slipped an arm around her, tugging her gently against me, knowing she was saddened by his leaving. Once Dalton was on his way, I commed the bridge, telling them to take us back to the Temple. Seeing how tired Meagan was looking, I thought trying to get some rest in our quarters would be a good next move.

**Meagan's Point of View**

I allowed Obi-Wan to lead me away as he suggested getting some rest but after the rather emotional time with Sasha and saying goodbye to Dalton, I wasn't sure I would be able to sleep.

"Meagan, what did Master Jessie exactly say?" Obi-Wan asked as we entered the small quarters that we could use since we weren't aboard the Sassy.

"My blood pressure was a little high but other than that said I was doing fine." I assured him as we began to make ourselves more comfortable. Before I threw my outer robe down, I reached into the pocket and pulled out the datapad Master Jessie gave me. Now that we were alone, maybe it was time to let him see it.

Though I hesitated for a long moment, almost rethinking my decision. Obi-Wan still had not started bonding with the baby, though he was extremely protective of us, was he ready for this? But then again, maybe it would help.

Before I could change my mind again, I quickly turned the datapad on and brought up the baby's picture and held it to him after he took my robe and laid it over the chair with his.

"Meagan, what is this?" He looked at it questionably.

"Well," I turned it slightly in his hands so he could see it better. "It's our baby."

Obi-Wan didn't say anything for the longest time just staring at it and I wondered if I had made the right decision when I noticed his eyes looking suspiciously moist. But he blinked his eyes several times and it was gone.

"The little one is perfectly fine." I said when I could no longer stand the silence between us.

"I'm rather relieved to hear it." He set down the pad on the small desk before pulling me close, one of his hands resting on my middle.

I felt my body relax in his hold, so glad we were heading home, glad he seemed to be affected by the picture of the baby. After a long moment, we pulled away and finished changing clothes before we climbed onto the small sleep couch. We lay there quietly together for a little while and I was actually about to drift off to sleep, when I felt a slight movement, almost like a flutter of butterfly wings.

"What's wrong?" Came the question as I gasped in surprise.

I turned slightly as I felt it again. "I felt the baby move."

His lips twitched upwards into a smile as his hand, already resting on my middle, rubbed it with what I thought was affection.

Snuggling against him, his body warm, I fell asleep smiling.

Thankfully the finally leg of our journey went well, there were no battles, no major incidents. Obi-Wan and I spent much of the time catching up with Anakin and Ahsoka and it was so good to see them again. I could tell they both had gone through a lot in the past weeks, just as we had. Once on Coruscant, the plan was to take the ships back to the main ship yard and we would have a small transport waiting to take us back to the Temple with hopefully not a lot of press around. In case it did get out, it was decided that Sasha would be waiting in our quarters for us. None of us wanted the press to see her.

When we arrived, some press was there but they must have thought it was a regular troop exchange or something and just wanted a quick update on a few battles because they were quite surprised to see Obi-Wan and I getting off the ship. Thankfully the men kept them at bay, but we knew our pictures and the fact we were back would soon be all over the holonet.

The journey from the ship yards to the Temple was quick and easy and it was good to be back again. There were times I did not think it would happen. The transport dropped us off on a landing platform where the press could not easily get to. A small crowd was gathering and I could see several friends waiting.

Jema and Dede reached me first and the three of us shared a teary group hug before they started plying me with questions. Nearly laughing, I answered their questions as best as I could. Padme was next and we shared a long hug.

"I was so worried." She murmured before we let go of each other.

"Thank you for taking such good care of Sasha." Even though we had already expressed it, I could not help but mention it again.

"Your welcome." She said. "I could do nothing else but take care of her."

Master Yoda soon greeted us with a smile. "Seeing you two again brings warm feelings to my heart."

"Thank you Master." Obi-Wan put in as I was suddenly chocked up. "It's good to be back home again."

Even though they were all rather reluctant to let us go, they knew we wanted to see Sasha and thought to have a larger get together soon and headed inside. I could not describe the feelings I felt walking through the familiar corridors heading for our quarters. I of course had been on many missions before, even dangerous missions but this one was in a class all on its own. It felt so good to be back home again, especially with being able to be home with Sasha and another baby coming.

My hands were nearly shaking as we reached the door that led to our quarters. Obi-Wan entered our code and the door slid open. Not being able to wait, I hurried inside.

"Mummy!" Sasha appeared from out of nowhere, launching herself into me. "You're home!"

"Baby, I missed you." I did not bother controlling my tears as Sasha clung to me, sobbing too.

It was sometime later Sasha and I pulled away from each other. Not surprisingly, Sasha darted around me and threw herself into Obi-Wan. As the two greeted each other, I wiped my eyes and turned to find Bant, standing nearby.

We greeted each other with a hug before talking quietly for a few minutes. After telling me about the food they put in the cooling unit for us, with me promising we would all get together soon, she left.

Obi-Wan, Sasha and I had a lovely afternoon and evening, catching up with each other before eating dinner.

After putting Sasha to bed, Obi-Wan and I sat in the living area. At first we were sitting there quietly, just enjoying finally being back home. Though after a little while, I asked. "When do we want to tell Sasha about the baby?"

Obi-Wan was quiet, looking rather thoughtful for long moments. "I think we should give it a little bit longer, at least for her to get used to us being home again before we share with her something that important."

After thinking about it for several minutes, I agreed with him. With being already four months along, I knew we couldn't wait much longer but another week or two wouldn't hurt.

"How are you feeling?" Obi-Wan asked me.

"I'm fine, maybe a little tired." I admitted. "Are you going to insist we take Sasha to her classes tomorrow?"

Obi-Wan chuckled slightly. "Not tomorrow, I think we should be able to spend most of the day together."
That relieved my mind, but knew within a few days we would both be back to the war and relief efforts. At some point we headed to our room and to bed. Not surprisingly Sasha joined us sometime in the night, but thankfully curled into me and went right back to sleep.

The next day was nice as Obi-Wan and I were able to just be with Sasha caching up with her and hearing more about what was going on since we were gone, at least through her nearly five year olds perspective. Though I knew our return was all over the holonet, I was relieved the reunion with Sasha and our friends was in private.

However the following morning, it was back to the real world. After breakfast and taking Sasha to her clan, we headed to the council rooms to give a report of what happened. Thankfully since we were going to be there for a little while, Obi-Wan and I shared his chair. After that was over, of course Obi-Wan had to stay for the rest of the meeting while I met up with Dede and Jema. We spent some time just catching up with each other.

The following evening a group of us met at Padme and Anakin's for a rather large celebration dinner. Thankfully it was only with our friends that knew about the baby so I didn't have to pretend to be enjoying a drink and was able to assure them that the next Kenobi was fine. It was fun to be relaxed and have some fun. Sasha enjoyed it thoroughly and it was more than obvious how much closer she was not only to Padme but Ahsoka as well.

However, it was not all fun and games. Obi-Wan and I were invited to a gathering in the Senate Halls, which he wasn't too pleased about but we could hardly get out of it. We left Sasha with her clan as we would be rather late. Thankfully with Padme and Dede's help we were able to quickly modify a dress that hid my slightly rounded middle.

Upon arrival we were immediately bombarded by Senators, army officials, and press so it was hard to even get in the door. We made our way around the room, greeting people as we went along, usually not too far from Padme and Anakin.

"Oh, my dear it is so good to see you alive and well." I wasn't too surprised when Chancellor Palpatine greeted us. "I have been so worried about you."

"Thank you, I've never been so glad to be home." I told him before he was pulled away. Though he later more formally welcomed us home, proclaiming our return was a victory in the war which we would soon win.

Greeting Mon Mothma and Bail Organa and a few others I had worked with on relief efforts was much more pleasant. However, by the end of the evening, I was growing rather tired and ready to get home for the night.

**Third Person Point of View**

Chancellor Palpatine, during interviews, while walking the halls of the Senate and during the recent party, always expressed his relief, his thankfulness, that Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his wife, the Lady Meagan Kenobi were not only found, but rescued and returned back home, safe and sound. However, inside he was seething in anger that once again his plan to rid himself of the Kenobi's and take their daughter had failed. But he was not about to give up, he would win, one way or another. He just had to come up with another plan. He would not fail.

**Meagan's Point of View**

It didn't seem too many days later that Obi-Wan and I began to get back into our more normal activities and such. I was spending time with Dede, Jema and the rest of our staff talking about what was going on with relief efforts. Though I was certainly not able to leave planet till after the baby came, I was more than wanting to help where I could for as long as I could. Of course meanwhile Obi-Wan was attending Council meetings and making battle plans and whatever else needed doing though he was making conscious efforts to get home at a good time so we would all have dinner together.

Once we felt sure Sasha had adjusted to us being back home and to our more normal routine, we felt it was time to tell her about the baby. When Obi-Wan had managed to get off early one afternoon, so we could talk to her about it before dinner.

We sat down on the couch with Sasha sitting in between us. I could tell she knew something big was going on though she didn't ask or say it.

"Sasha, we have something to tell you." I started out, hoping this was going to go well.

"Are you leaving again?" She asked in a small voice obviously worried about it.

"No, we are not." I said before Obi-Wan could.

"Not at the moment, though I will have to go on campaign at some point. But this is something different." Obi-Wan also added as we exchanged looks before I continued on.

"Sasha, what we are trying to tell you is that I am going to have a baby." I watched her face as she tried to process this latest change in our lives. "You are going to be a big sister in about five months."

"A little sister?" She asked after a long moment. "The baby's in the crèche are cute unless they are crying."

"We do not know." Obi-Wan put in, trying not to laugh too much. "You could have a little brother."

She wrinkled her nose. "I would prefer a sister."

Obi-Wan and I shared a chuckle. "Well we are going to have to wait and see."

She remained quiet for a long moment, obviously thinking this through before asking. "Where is the baby now?"

Obi-Wan and I exchanged another glance. "The baby is growing in my tummy." I took her little hand and placed it on my middle. "You can't feel it now but I think you will soon."

Sasha seemed to be taking this very well and I wondered what she was going to ask next. She was quiet for long moments, with Obi-Wan and I exchanging looks almost asking each other if we should prompt her or let her ask her questions as she thought of them.

Though, staring at my middle, she finally asked. "How did it get there?"

Remembering Dalton's advice to keep it simple but true, I said. "From love, Sasha, both you and this little one come from love."

Thankfully that seemed to satisfy her as she soon asked if we could play before dinner and both Obi-Wan and I breathed sighs of relief. Though I knew more questions were liable to come as my pregnancy progressed, but at least for now we were in the clear.

It was later in the night, once Sasha was sleeping in her own bed, that we were settling into ours that we could discuss what happened. We were both relieved Sasha, at least in this moment, was handling it very well and were amused she said she would prefer a sister.

Though Obi-Wan soon grew thoughtful as he placed a hand on my middle. "Do you know yet if she's getting her wish?"

I shook my head. "I haven't got a sense either way but Sasha told me almost at the start, it was how she connected to me." I paused as I looked towards him, wondering if he was ready to discuss it or not but he did ask. "Master Jessie said the equipment on the ship wouldn't be able to tell but thought the ones here would at my next appointment, if we want to know."

He didn't say anything for another long moment before asking. "Do you want to know?"

"I don't know." I said, placing my hand on my middle as I felt the slight movements within, our fingers curving around each other. "On one hand I would like to know but yet a surprise would be nice."

"Well then." Obi-Wan watched me for a moment or two. "Then maybe we should let the baby decide whether she or he tells us or not."

I gave him a twisted smile. "Isn't that a rather big decision for someone so young?"

"I guess it is." He laughed slightly before leaning down to kiss me gently. "But as long as you and the baby are healthy, it really doesn't matter."

"No it doesn't." I reached up, stroking his bearded cheek. "I love you."

"I love you too." His voice was soft and sweet as we soon drifted into silence and then sleep.

AN: Well there you have it, Obi-Wan and Meagan are back home, reunited with Sasha and who now knows she is to be a big sister. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Should note, the story that Obi-Wan read was Dr. Seuss "There is a wocket in my pocket." Thought the ending went well with what's been going on with this chapter. Thanks again everyone.

Sharnorasian Empire: It's good to hear from you again and we certainly understand about real life interfering, we have been there ourselves many a times. To answer your questions, Meagan has come into the Star Wars galaxy twice now so you were correct. As for Obi-Wan going to Earth, we have discussed it as it is an intriguing concept to contemplate. Thanks again and hope you enjoyed this chapter!

Last but certainly not least, the quote. This is from Aladdin (the animated version.) Though we really enjoyed the recent one, I think we still prefer the original. This is one of our favorite parts!

Aladdin: You're a prisoner?

Genie: It's all part and parcel, the whole genie gig. [grows to a gigantic size]

Genie: Phenomenal cosmic powers! [shrinks down inside the lamp]

Genie: Itty bitty living space!
