Chapter 53:

The steel wing war: part1

It had been a long time since the last extermination, since they had to defend the hotel against angelic troops, and yet, here they were, once again, fighting for their lives as hoards of mechanical monstrosities descended from the sky, each and every single one of them modeled after the dreaded exorcist angels that had once sewn fear into the hearts of sinners of all kind.

That hardly mattered now as Vaggie was currently in the middle of leading a group of mechanical attackers away from civilians as Alastor's black tendrils emerged from every door and window that was not boarded up "YOU WILL LEARN WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH THE RADIO DEMON!"

Vaggie had heard the stories of Ashley's rise to overlordhood but never had she ever seen the shark demoness in action as she was zipping by, pummeling groups of angelic robots into the ground, all with a big smile on her face, making Vaggie yelp out "Ashley, you are absolutely fucking insane, you know that?!"

All she'd get as an answer was that maniacal laugh, followed by a loud "TELL ME SOMETHING NEW, VAGS! WHOOOOOO" as she once again barreled into a group of automatons.

Clinging of sword on sword was heard as Velvette was expertly evading and blocking swing after swing of the mechanical angels as she landed hit after hit, tho these did very little "THESE ROBOBITCHES JUST WON'T STAY DOWN, WHAT THE FUCK DO WE DO?!"

"They're fucking armored from head to toe with angelic steel!" Ashley spat out in frustration as she received a shallow cut on her shoulder, making her temporarily yelp out, only for her to activate her full demon form and going into a near blind frenzy.

Up in the skies above the battle field, the Vee's would hover, overseeing the fight with slight dread in their eyes "This is not what we wanted….Voxy" the tall moth spoke.

"I know, Val….but what fucking choice do we have….." Vox simply responded, before they too had no other option then to join the fray.

"oh angel, baby" Angel Dust would hear behind him which send shivers over his spine as when he whipped around, he was met with the terrifying face of the person that had brought him so much hurt before "Fuck…..Vallentino….."

"COME ON OUT, YOU 1930'S LOOKING ASS" Vox yelled, tho as he tried coming close to the hotel, he was just about able to dodge a set of angelic bullets being fired at him "Uhg…of course they installed carmine-craft systems" tho he did not have to wait long as soon, behind him, Alastor would emerge from the shadows "Come here to lose to me again, old friend?"

Velvette was not looking so hot as she was currently on her back, desperately trying to hold her blade up as an angel bot was forcing its sword down.

Feeling the muscles in her arms slowly reaching their limit, Velvette would grit her teeth as she took one last glance over at the anarchy demon as she thought to herself "If I die here….at least I did it…..for her….." as her arms gave up and the sword came down…..

…..suddenly, she was met by a loud metallic clank as her attacker was expertly thrusted onto its back.

Blinking a few times, she would quickly get up, as the first thing she saw next to her head was what looked like an angelic steel ballet slipper, and as she looked up, she gazed upon the familiar figure of the angelic arms dealer, Carmilla Carmine

"My apologies, we came as fast as we could" she smiled as she extended a hand and helped the shorter overlord up.

"Took you long enough" Velvette joked as she now saw Carmilla was not the only overlord who had decided to show up.

"I did not know Rosie could fight, let alone with her teeth" Velvette would pipe up as Carmilla smiled "There's much you don't know about us "As she expertly avoided an incoming sword strike as a little further, a bunch of bots were suddenly trapped in what could only be described as pure darkness, as a menacing voice spoke up "Allow me…to show thee….the error of thyne ways…."

Vaggie was in the middle of fending of another hoard of mechanical attackers as a bunch of them suddenly backed off

"UNITS…STAND DOWN…." As Vaggie could hear something land behind her "…..the traitor is mine to kill….."

Turning around, Vaggie would stare down her former lieutenant "What the fuck are you trying to achieve, Lute?" she spat out through gritted teeth.

Lute just gave her a wicked smile as she spread her arms "Isn't it obvious? I'm avenging my general, I'm setting things right….."

"Are you really that delusional?!" Vaggie yelled out at her fellow fallen angel.

The former exorcist's eyes would just widen in a manic way as she gave Vaggie a wide, toothy smile…..dark rings under her eyes "I will show the high seraphim just how wrong she was, I will PROVE myself by erasing these disgusting sinners…..."

Lute suddenly bolted forward, sword aimed at Vaggie's chest as she yelled "First, I'll erase these sinners…then, this damn hotel, then, my holy army will blacken the skies of the 7 rings and forever correct Lucifer's mistake, AND THEN I'LL FINALLY MAKE YOU SUFFER FOR EVERYTHING YOU TOOK FROM ME"

The exorcist would not be able to finish her attack as she was suddenly flung into a nearby wall with a loud scream by what seemed to be a large fireball "DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE PUT A FINGER ON "MY" VAGGIE!"

At this, the grey skinned woman would whip her head around as slowly, a big smile creeped on her face "…Charlie…."

Angel Dust was currently struggling against the red chain that had manifested around his neck as the tall shadow of Vallentino towered over him "You filthy slut, you FUCKING BITCH!" as he was in the process of kicking the spider demon's face in, all the while 2 angelic robots were detaining a beaten and bruised Husk, who, despite his injuries, still was giving the tall moth a verbal assault "I swear, if I get out of these bitches' grip you're gonna be fucking sorry!"

The tall moth would temporarily stop as he slowly turned around with an eerie grin "Well…it seems the kitty has some claws left after all….let me make one thing clear you mangy stray" as he snapped his fingers, showing the cat demon the contract as it manifested "This bitch's soul is mine….and I can do with him….whatever I so desire….understand?" as he ran a hand across Husk's face which send shivers down his spine as Vallentino just smiled at him with that sadistic grin.

Suddenly, a blue light would erupt behind the tall moth, causing his eyes to widen as Husk just looked at him with a big smirk "Yea well it seems somebody here isn't exactly too thrilled about that idea" before he would glance over the moth's shoulder to a large shape "Can I just say, it's an honor to meet you, Asmodeus Sir….."

Vallentino would feel a lump form in his throat as he was suddenly grabbed by the wings and pulled close to a demonic face, engulfed in blue flame as the lord of lust shouted at him "CONCENT, MOTHERFUCKER! EVER HEARD OF IT?!"

"I knew….you'd stoop this low…Vox…" Alastor wheezed through pained breaths as several mechanical angels held him down as Vox slowly approached him "Alastor, oh Alastor, when will you finally realize that sometimes, there's no other option then for the old to step aside and make place for the new….it's adapt of die, old "Friend" and those who stay in the past….well….let's just say you won't be around long enough to see the future….."

The TV demon would suddenly be felled as a large, sharp, spider like leg would suddenly shoot out from a cloud of green smoke. He was pinned against the ground as a large, multi-armed, multi-legged, lumbering shape reared up over him "So you're the little shit who's been messing with MY fizziebots….."

Seeing Mammon, the lord of greed in the flesh, face to face, Vox couldn't help but give a loud "oh you've got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME!"

Ashley, Carmilla Carmine and Velvette were now back to back as robotic angels surrounded them from all sides.

"So this is it, girls….can I just say, it's been a pleasure sinning with y'all" Ashley would smugly pipe up, tho she was quickly shut down by Carmilla "Don't say your goodbyes too soon, this fight isn't over just yet" as Velvette added "Yea babe, it ain't over until it''s over" to which Carmilla raised a brow and smirked " …"babe"?"

Chuckling, Velvette sighed "Yep….we're dating, we're a thing….seriously, don't you EVER check social media?" to which Ashley spoke up "I love you, babygirl, but now's not the time, hun" as the angel bots went in for another attack, tho the 3 overlords managed to either evade or block then, tho just barely.

But just as the bots wanted to move in for another attack, a wall of dark red fire suddenly cut them off.

Looking up, the trio would see the king of hell, Lucifer himself, whizz by on his 6 wings, blasting away bot after bot as they were approached by what appeared to be the sin of lust, Asmodeus, followed by Angel Dust, Husk and a now unconscious Vallentino.

"Holy shit, timing couldn't be better" Ashley yelped out as she followed it up by "I fucking swear, do these things not have a weakness? The bitches won't stay down!"

Asmodeus spoke up "Actually, they do" catching everyone's attention.

"It seems they are reversed engineered off of Mammon's fizzybots…and sure, he might own the rights to the mechanisms, but "I" am the one who designed them…..there's a access port in the nape of their necks. Hit them there and it'll trigger a domino effect that'll cause the whole system to shut down" as just as one of the angels wanted to attack the sin of lust, he's effortlessly evade it and stomp onto it's neck with one of his heels, snapping it clean off "Plus…..it's a weak spot in general"

Looking at one and another, the group gave each other a nod as Velvette spoke up "ALRIGHT EVERYONE, get the word out to the others, hit them in the back of the neck!"

Pulling herself back onto her feet, Lute would look over the battle field as she saw the 2 sins emerge.

Grinding her teeth together, she would angrily whip back around as she tried to retaliate at the princess for her earlier fireball, tho was quickly met by both Charlie's trident and Vaggie's spear as the 3 began to exchange blows at each other.

"Lute, let it go, this isn't worth it!" Charlie tried to plea with the former lieutenant.

"silence, you demon whore!" Lute spat out, causing Vaggie to sneer out "Don't you dare call my girlfriend that!"

At this, Lute would just blurt out "TRAITOR!"

"Me? A traitor? Look at yourself! Didn't the trial teach you ANYTHING?! Are you seriously still living that delusion?!"

"This goes deeper, doesn't it? This has been going on for much longer…." Charlie suddenly spoke up in realization "What happened to you? How did you become so fucking bitter?!"

With a thrust of her mechanic wings, Lute would push the 2 women off their feet as she glared at them, but especially Vaggie…."Yea….Vaggie….." Lute sneered, purposely addressing the fallen angel with her old name "…why don't you tell her…."

Charlie would look upon her partner with confusion "Tell me what, Vaggie?"

Looking confused at first, Vaggie's eyes would suddenly widen "That's why you're so bitter?! You've held on to that for all this time?!" causing Charlie to yelp "Held onto what, Vaggie?" getting more and more frustrated.

Sighing in defeat, the one-eyed angel slowly got up, still glaring at her former lieutenant….. "….Lute…..was more then just my lieutenant….she's….she's my ex…"

The princess's eyes went wide at this revelation as by now, Lute angrily lasted out "You traitorous backstabber!"

"WHAT WE HAD WASN'T HEALTHY, LUTE! IT WAS TOXIC…..i understand the past hurts….trust me….i understand like no other….but if you keep going like this…..it will ruin you…..It's time you let go….."

Lute would, for the first time, whip out her angelic pistol "I will NEVER let go…first, you tore my heart in 2….then you BETRAID your sacred duty…conspired with the devil's daughter….and MURDERED Adam, the ONE friend I had….my general…OUR general…THE FIRST FUCKING MAN"

Her hand shook as she aimed the pistol "….You took everything from me…..so now….i am going to take everything from you…..and once I wipe pride clean of all the sinner filth….i'll take this to the other 6 rings…and maybe "then" will Sera finally see….that I did everything for heaven….."

Charlie gripped her trident tightly as Vaggie sneered at the fallen angel "You're completely delusional, you know that? You've officially lost it"

The fallen lieutenant just flashed a wicked, wide eyed, toothy smile as she answered "…..i no longer care….."

But just as Lute was about to pull the trigger, a beam of bright, golden light shone from behind her as suddenly, the side of her face was met with the end of a giant, ornate, golden mace, sending Lute barreling across the battlefield with a scream.

As Charlie and Vaggie would look up, they were met with a tall, completely armored, female form, 6 wings emitting from its back…

And as it opened the visor of its helmet, Charlie's and Vaggie's eyes went wide with surprise as giant, golden portals began opening in the sky of the pride ring, from which, angelic warriors started emerging.

"My sincerest apologies for the delay, daughter of the Morningstar…..but rest assured, reinforcements have arrived"

"SERA?!"
