Cutting to the next scene...
"MEEEOOOOW!" Furrball exclaimed with all the air he had in his small lungs before this turn of bad luck. He only wanted a piece of bread! Nothing more! So, how come he is chased by a angry dog across an unknown city?! What was even worst, the scene attracted other dogs to join the rotweiler in his mission to maim him!
"It was truly every cat's nightmare. Being chased by a mob of dogs..."
The young feline felt his fur stand on end as he was pursued by the canines through the busy streets. His heart raced and his legs ached from the constant running, but he knew he had to keep going or he'll suffer a fate worse then at the cinema to be sure. He glanced behind him, seeing some of the dogs getting closer and closer.
That was it...
He was done for...
*HIIIISSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!*
"Just when I thought that I was about to become dog chew, a sound made all of the mob fall to the ground."
"Meow?" Furrball uttered, gazing upon his behind and checking his eyes if he's seeing what he's seeing. No longer the angry canines were chasing him, but they were on the ground, not even paying attention to him, but wimpering as if begging for mercy.
"Are you alright?!" asked a voice that made the blue feline turn in his confusion at the sight before him. A tall and feminine silhouete approached him with a dog whistle, and gently picked him up from the cold concrete. The figure soon hugged him such warmth and care that it made him open his eyes wide and tears gently fell from them.
"I don't know why, but when I saw her, I could tell that she was truly glad to have saved me. Back then, very few would care about my fate, some even saying that I deserve it for trying to eat Sweetie all the time... That didn't matter, because in that moment I was just too happy knowing that someone cared."
End of flashback...
"After getting as far away as possible from those dogs, she took me to her house where she nursed me, gave me food, and a bed to sleep." Furrball said with a nostalgic smile on his face. "She wanted to know where I came from, but I was still on my meow all the time phase, so I couldn't tell much and I wasn't good at charades, so till the end of the summer, she let me stay at her place."
"For a while, I was quite happy leading a somewhat ordinary life without being harrassed by Sweetie, and even tried to help her with house chores, but those didn't end up the best... She wasn't mad at what my misfortune had caused, but I still felt pretty guilty." He paused before continuing.
"After summer ended, I bid goodbye to her with a somewhat messy note telling her 'Thank you for everything' and then I returned back to Acme Acres, to my usual routine, and later I gathered my courage during the winter to give you the locket and took you to the dance, Fifi." the blue feline topped, quickly hiding his dark blush, reminiscing of the moments he had with his girlfriend.
"Oh, mon amore!" the skunkette exclaimed, surprising Furrball and quickly enveloping him in a powerful hug. "I'm zo sorry for doubting vous! Could you forgive moi?" she asked with visible tears in her eyes. Furrball gently used his hands and wiped them off.
"Don't worry, Fifi. I did look like I hid something from you... which I kinda did, and not just for you, but everyone else as well." he commented, gazing at her. "By chance, I saw her in here, in Acme Acres, and I wanted to make a surprise and show that I'm doing great and have a shelter over my head, plus the greatest girlfriend in the world."
Furrball's words made Fifi's heart flutter with happiness. She hugged him tighter. "I must make amends for moi mistake, mon amore!" she declared, releasing her boyfriend. "I will help vous make preparations to make moi home more hospitable for our guest!"
"You'll help me?" Furrball asked and she nodded.
"But of course!" Fifi confirmed with a determined look.
