Hi, so here we are again! Once again I am going back to this wonderful fandom that gave me so much over the course of my writing. I know I have took a bit of a long break from this fandom but I recently watched all the first six series of OUAT and the idea's kept popping into my head left, right and centre starting with this one.

I love Outlaw Queen. I love Regina, I don't why everyone got to be with the person they loved but her. I honestly don't know what the point of that ending for her in Season 7 was but then I don't get the point of Season 7 at all to be honest. So this is my stab at giving her something-eg, a happy ending with Robin with no Marian.

On that note-I have a love/hate relationship with the Charmings, Seasons 1, 3, 5 they are fine, Season 2 ish, 4 okay until we get to the last bit, but Season 6...that bit with Snow, Emma and Belle about Gideon is a scene that makes me so angry I have to stop watching. So yeah...if you are looking for a lovey dovey on the ball happy Charming story this isn't going to be it. To be honest at times Emma gets on my nerves when it comes to Regina so...I will try and keep this as neutral as possible but the Charmings especially Snow are not my favourite characters nor will they ever be.

Disclaimer-Nothing is mine I am just playing with the characters.

I predict this is going to be twenty chapters long. And there will be a few chapters set in the Enchanted Forest.

Please Read and Review and let me know what you think and I will try and update as soon as work and life allows me.

Also I am not great with spelling and grammar. Nor is this story going to be cannon or dialogue compliment. Something to have in mind if that's your thing.

And there will be some swearing in this story so keep that in mind.

As of now I am not taking prompts nor I am answers PMs so please do keep that in mind too. Any questions leave it in a review and I will try and answer it in the notes part of each story.

Storybook Love (Every Version Of You)

Chapter 7-Always Someone There To Remind Me

Regina and Robin get to talking and learning about the other as they search the Wicked Witch's house.

"So your pregnant then"

"Well spotted"

He rolled his eyes.

"I mean…I didn't think…"

"That Queens could get pregnant—"

"Not unmarried ones no"

It was a comment that cut to the quick but at the end of the day she was the Evil Queen for a reason and she did not do forgiveness nor did she do a lack of honesty. Sometimes she could be so honest that she would have been embarrassed but a lifetime as Cora's daughter had took that out of her. And that had been before she had been Leopold's wife.

She straightened up.

"I don't know who the father is" she said finally. "I woke up form this curse pregnant…and if this is your way of asking me did I cast it the answer is no because I can assure you if I had the bare minimum I would have stuck in was to remember who the father of my baby was"

He stared at her from the wall he was leaning on and then.

"Damn"

"Indeed"

He pushed himself off the wall.

"You should sit"

"I don't need to sit"

"You look as if you do"

"Well I don't"

He rolled his eyes and then.

"I have a five year old son" he said finally. "I know what it is like at the end of the pregnancy. I know that you are struggling and I know why. I understand it."

She sighed tapping her nails against the jar and then she turned around.

"I…I don't know what to do"

She had no idea, no idea whatsoever why she was being honest with this man but she was. Here he stood, a complete stranger and here she stood baring her soul."

"Oh?" he asked looking at her.

"I…It's not the going through this alone" she said finally trying to gather her thoughts. "I can do that. I can be alone. I can raise a child alone. I have despite what the Charming's might tell you done that on my own before"

Here he nodded which left her in no doubt that he knew that she had a son and that he knew that her son didn't remember her. She looked away feeling that fist that squeezed her heart give another tug at the thought of her boy who looked at her like she was a strange person on the street and not the woman who had taught him how to walk.

Robin Hood stared at her for a second and she looked at him and then away.

"I don't know what to tell you" he said finally. "I wish I could be off some service—"

"For this you can't" she said shaking off the sudden urge that she had to leap into his arms and beg him to hold her while the world fell apart. Instead she picked up a jar and then stopped.

"Hmm"

"What?"

She put the jar down and then took a step backwards and then another eyeing the shelf in it's entirety. She watched the thing with eyes that moved back and forth and then she closed them letting her magic move through her. It had been an old trick of Rumples that she had stuck with. To take a step backwards and look at the big picture. At what was happening. Trust the magic.

And trust common sense.

"She's casting a spell" she said opening her eyes. "A powerful one"

"I thought that was rather obvious"

She rolled her eyes. "No" Regina said turning to face him…there was really no justice to his good looks she thought looking at him. He was arguably one of the most good looking men that she had ever seen in her entire life.

"This kind of spell has a lot of firepower behind it"

"Do you mean that metaphorically or literally?"

She giggled unable to stop herself at the dry tone that he employed.

"Your funny" she deadpanned.

"Yes I've been told" he deadpanned back. "But if she's casting a curse…I mean were already here in Storybrooke. What is worse for her to do? She's took our memories…I mean…I don't understand"

Regina picked up a jar of bat guava and eyed it critically. It was good quality too.

Interesting.

"Whatever curse she is planning she intends to take her time. She's not come unprepared"

"What do you mean?"

"Bat guava, rat liver, rot from a toad, one large boar's tongue, rabbit's foot, parsley, basil…"

"Potatoes, carrots and bit of bread and we have dinner" he muttered and Regina bit her bottom lip hard to pretend that she was not affected by what he was saying.

"What I mean is that she has a plan…look, Belladonna, poisoned toadstool with three spots…these are not things that one finds in the local mini mart. She came prepared, she took these things from our land, she took them from the Enchanted Forest and looking at them it seems that she had time to find them which takes some doing believe you me. Belladonna is not something that you find at the local market stall. It takes time to cultivate it. Nightshade that black is expensive because it's that deadly. So the fact that she's got it all here in one piece shows that she has took time. She has planned what she has done"

There was a pause as Robin Hood took that in.

"I see" he said finally. "She's powerful"

"It's a hard curse to cast" Regina said looking him dead in the eye. "It was not designed to be used by anyone week"

Robin nodded.

"Must be hard for you" he said finally. "You would think you'd want to stay out of it. I mean spend time with your boy—"

"My boy doesn't remember me"

"Right now he doesn't" Robin said ignoring her pain or perhaps not even seeing it. "But right now he also doesn't know what time of day it is, not really. He's been spoon-fed a pack of lies"

"And you know this how?"

"I know enough" he said bluntly. "You think you're the only person who uses that diner? I have to feed Roland occasionally you know. Ever since he realised you could get chocolate flavoured milk he's become obsessed. And that was before I realised that Ice Cream had that much sugar in it."

He shuddered delicately and she laughed and then her baby gave another powerful kick inside of her and she winced. Immediately he was on his feet watching her with that shrewd look as if he could see inside her to her baby underneath.

"Sit down M—Regina please. You're putting me on edge standing here. Please sit down and catch your breath. He dithered one foot to the other as if desperate to help and she thought she would indulge him. It was easier to indulge him rather than to admit that she was desperately in need to sit.

"Okay" she said heaving herself into a seat. She ran her hand over the baby bump and sighed.

"I didn't carry Henry" she said to Robin Hood. "I didn't…I adopted him when he was a baby. This is my first and my only child that I have carried to term."

"Whose says it's your last"

"Oh believe me I do" she said running her hand down her belly again. "I have missed out most of this pregnancy but I know enough to know that from what I am experiencing this is going to be the last time that I do this…"

And then for reasons unknown and because Regina was an idiot (pregnancy brain no doubt) she said.

"I didn't think I could have one you know?"

"Yeah well…you wouldn't be the first woman married to an old man whose past his prime and you wouldn't be the first who was blamed with the lack of an heir"

Regina looked at him and saw that there was a bitterness there that she had not seen before. Leopold had gone down in his people's estimation as the sainted King. Granted half of that was by his daughter's estimation and Snow had milked her father's reputation to the extreme but the reality was that the only thing Leopold had been sainted with was in the head.

"I had an easy marriage" she said though she did not know why she was telling him this. "It's an easy marriage when your husband is in love with his dead wife"

"Not a happy one"

"And I suppose yours was happy?" she asked and even Regina could hear the waspish tone. Robin Hood did not look bothered by it. Instead he shrugged and Regina found she was suddenly very annoyed and she did not know why.

(She did. She just could not admit it to herself)

"Happish" he said finally. "She was…it wasn't the same when the boy was born"

"Is it supposed to?"

He shrugged and then he sighed looking down at her.

"All I know is that since I have been here three of my men have been turned into flying monkey's. I have my son to take care off. I have to consider what the Wicked Witch can do. And if your right and she is casting a spell that is as powerful as something you can do then you have to consider yourself"

"I do consider myself" Regina said flatly. "I don't have anyone else to consider. I have lost one child do you think that I am letting her take this one off me without a fight?"

He caught her eye and then grinned and that fluttery feeling was back within her. Fuck. She clearly had to go and see Whale…well not Whale but someone at the hospital and see if she had an undisclosed heart murmur that fluttered when he looked at her because this was not natural. Surely this was not natural?

She stood up and the chair pushed backwards which was even more embarrassing than the dizziness that was hitting her left right and centre. She found that she was struggling to get up with any kind of fluidness and she felt bulky and awkward compared to his sleekness and strong body.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes I should—"

Her phone rang.

Robin Hood jerked backwards and stared at the device with a highly critical look and Regina resisted the urge to roll her eyes.

She looked down and rolled her eyes.

Emma.

Naturally.

"Yes?" she asked picking up the phone.

"Where have you been?"

"Looking in the Farm House. She's casting a spell but that's it"

"Well what kind of spell?"

"I don't know"

"You don't—"

"She's not left instructions Miss Swan. I don't know…all I know is that she's been planning this for a while. Looking at what she's got here she's come well armed. I don't intend to stick around for her to find me so can I hang up?"

There was a pause and then.

"We've found nothing. Except…well…David's…odd"

"He's always odd" Regina said though she was intrigued despite herself.

"He's…he says he was stalked by someone in the woods and that he lost the hilt of his sword."

"He lost the what?

"I don't know…Hook thinks…Hook thinks he might have lost his nerve"

"Ner…courage?"

She turned to look at the ingredients on the shelf.

"Yes"

"Interesting"

"How is that interesting?"

"I have to go and look at the books now" she said. "I'll call you when I have something"

And she hung up.

"What?"

"Nothing" she said turning back to the table. "I should—"

The vertigo hit her again and she swallowed. Something in this place smelt too and he reached out and then she saw it. The strip of skin of his wrist.

The lion tattoo.

The man with the lion tattoo.

Your soulmate.

She dragged her eyes upwards just as she felt the tell tale sound of magic.

And not hers.

For a second she stared at him and then he grabbed his crossbow but she was too fast. She dragged her eyes off his face and then closed them and with a wave of smoke she was gone. Her feet landed at the town line and Robin Hood fell on the ground before he rebounded.

"What was that?"

"Magic" she said and then she was gone using her magic so that she landed back in her own living room. She went back into the living room staring at the fire that was lit by magic and then she ran towards the kitchen retching into her sink.

She threw off her coat and her shoes and her gloves and she stuck her fingers in her mouth to keep herself from sobbing.

It did not do any good.

Robin Hood was her soulmate?

No…nothing could stop her crying now.

And there you go, hope that you enjoy and see you soon for the next chapter.

Next Chapter-In which we are back in the Enchanted Forest and Regina and Robin are having a sexual relationship with no feelings attached...at least that is what Regina tells herself when her irritant step-daughter gets involved.
