Ino had told Sai what took place between her and Sakura. He had been quiet during their conversation but eventually asked if she enjoyed it. Ino didn't know how to answer his question. Enjoyment-yes, she did and yet at the end, she didn't.
It was dirty and audacious of them to have relations in such a manner. To Ino, there was no love present, she only felt like both were using the other to satisfy their own hunger. It could have been the alcohol, either way, Ino felt disappointed. She honestly thought, there was a time when she thought that having sex with Sakura would be romantic, the two would be in bed, surrounded by pillows, and blankets engulfing one another's taste and smells. That wasn't the encounter they had. Ino saw herself on all fours with Sakura plowing into her, not even having the decency nor courtesy to remove her pants.
The door to their compartment opened, the sands of Suna shown through their window. They would be stopping soon, on the coast, where they would then take a ship to the west. The passage would be about twenty one days, Ino remembered being told by Konohamaru.
Pancakes, syrup, hashbrowns- Ino closed her eyes and took the scents in. She smiled, closing the door behind her. Sakura had been making her breakfast since the incident, since neither have taken the initiative to discuss the matter, food was what brought them together.
Her briefs were dark blue and she was shirtless. Ino had noticed Sakura was gaining more muscle, probably because of how much she was going to the gym on the train.
"I told Sai what happened."
Sakura sat down after placing their plates in front of them. She took her fork and tapped it on her plate then finally looked at Ino.
"What did he say?"
"He asked if I enjoyed it...I didn't know how to answer that." She let out a sorrowful laugh. "Stupid me, I thought we would actually make love than fuck the way we did like I was a toy." Ino was shifting the blame on Sakura, both wanted each other that night but Ino didn't want to admit she wanted to be used the way Sakura had her. It wasn't completely a lie, she truly did want for them to make love to one another.
Sakura sighed, choosing not to say anything, simply eating her food.
Several hours later, Sakura, Ino, Temari and Tenten, stood in line with their luggage about to board the ship. All four were anxious and kept their eyes ahead of them. They were being watched...by the woman whom attempted to seduced Sakura and Konnie's brother. He was alive and apparently making his way back to the states.
Sakura placed her hand on the small back of Ino, guiding her onto the ramp, taking the suitcase from her.
"I got this." Sakura whispered.
"You're making me nervous," Ino pouted, whipping her hair to the side, slapping Sakura in the face.
"You two, stop bickering." Temari scolded. Catching sight of Tenten, she blushed, a slight rose color.
Sakura smiled, unlike her and Ino, Temari and Tenten seemed to be doing better with one another. Temari noticed the look Sakura gave her, and quickly turned red, out doing the slight color she had on her cheeks previously.
The four of them walked the halls with their room keys in their hands. Twenty one days was going to be intense, possibly even disastrous, still, if they kept their wits about them then they should be able to make it clear to the states in the west.
Temari and Tenten entered into their room, a king size bed was in the middle of the room, but with added space and a balcony of course, looking right out to the ocean.
It was Temari who walked to the balcony doors and slide them open. Her eyes wide and a smile of tranquility over came her. When she turned to inform Tenten and show her the view, Tenten was wallowing in the blankets of the bed, swimming and performing strokes, like she won a major competition.
A sweat drop appeared next to Temari's head and she walked over to Tenten and flopped on the bed next to her.
"Hey..." She mumbled into the sheets.
Tenten, who had her eyes closed yet facing Temari, smiled. "Hay is for horses, loser."
The blonde chuckled and she scooted closer to Tenten, placing her hand on her back, rubbing it, soothing Tenten.
The two had come along way. There was a lot, a tremendous amount of talking, conversations that lasted hours between them, after all, they had been on a train for about two weeks and now, they were going to be on a ship for close to a month.
During those two weeks on the train, Temari had apologized to Tenten, Tenten had cried and told Temari about the baby she lost due to Sakura. How she hated and loved Sakura all the same, never forgiving her. She had told Temari about feeling duped by Hinata, having her body be used as a toy, and that she had embarrassingly admitted she didn't mind at the time.
Temari rolled on her back and looked at the ceiling. The two still had a good way to go but progress made thus far, allowed Temari to believe an epiphany was on the way.
Movement beyond the door made Temari tilt her head up. She quickly got off the bed, pulling her kunai from her suit pocket. Tenten also arose, more slow from the bed. Their eyes met.
By the window, Tenten stepped to it. Temari smirked, Tenten caught on to the threat.
From the crack in the door, Temari could see the shadow and the light adjusting. Soon, it was gone.
She sniffed the air, smelling the scent of perfume, familiar smell, one that was on train in the casino. The woman who was talking to Sakura.
"Do you smell that?" Temari asked Tenten when she felt the woman near her. She didn't bother to turn her head to see Tenten nodding. "She's following us and I bet Konnie's brother isn't too far."
"I thought he was dead..."
"Hmm..." Temari said.
Tenten jumped when a knock came upon the door.
"Time for dinner!" Ino screamed from the other side from within the hall. Both Temari and Tenten sighed.
