Martha and Mickey were delighted to find a friend for their five-year-old monster. So far, they had not met as Gabriel was on a tight leash…. Pardon the pun… and their little boy was school mad but so silent and broody. Now they understood why, his boredom at new levels lately an they had been having trouble at school. It was Jack, in a moment of rare clarity, who had suggested softly to Ianto that maybe they had not approached them for help with their child as he had been their boss? Maybe they still saw him as their leader and had been unable to approach like friends? Even with the family thing… he was still ranked higher than anyone else on the street.

Ianto had not considered this, something Jack found endearing. He had decided the best way around it was to ask Rhiannon her views and let her decide to be the one to fix it. After all, she needed help with a baby coming and if it meant Gabriel was happier then maybe her father might be free sometimes instead of constantly reining in the mad thing.

Finally, she had sked Martha over with her little man for a play date like it was no big thing, excited to see the boy walk straight over to Gabriel and look him up and down, then shove him hard onto his arse. Martha went to intervene with horror but Gabriel laughed as he sprang up and returned the greeting violently.

Thank the gods. Both SS traits to push and shove. They boys were instant friends.

"You know what we need?" Martha asked as she watched the to boys destroy a toy gun in seconds then scoff that it was not even real.

"Alcohol?" Rhiannon asked, looking up from the papers she was going over.

"No. Well… yes but… no. What we need is our own school for the gifted." Martha laughed.

Rhiannon turned to look at her like she was a genius, not even aware she was channelling her father's ability to 'handle' someone into thinking they had made a decision "You know… I was thinking of the one created for Blumanchu some help. They are such good nurturers and so calm. Their kids are resilient, why Gabriel plays with them. He hasn't broken one yet… oh god… that sounded…"

Martha roared with mirth as she agreed, her own Deston had already broken two children's bones 'playing' and had been both upset and angry at the fact they were so delicate. Blumanchu were not so delicate, or whingey. She had not considered this. Ianto had, dripping the idea into Rhiannon's ear when she had started her Blumanchu Studies. And now, she dripped the idea on.

"Oh shit" Martha said softly as Gabriel lifted Deston up into the air and threw him like a sack of spuds, the little boy squealing with glee as he hit the bushes, clambering out as he choked that it was his turn to 'chuck'.

"Yes, they need something" Rhiannon agreed.

.

.

"A school?"

"Not just a school. A training ground a well. Today they had nothing they liked so they took turns throwing one another into the bushes. Totally destroyed that little bush in the corner sorry Taddy, they were so excited to have a show of strength. They need proper gear an area to be strong and masterly…I think they are so bored that they are not developing" Rhiannon explained.

"I agree with Rhia" Alice added nodding as she listened "The Blumanchu have like an assault course for their kids. Have you seen it? Gabriel would decimate it no problem. That was the first thing I thought of, he would tromp through it like it was not there. Maybe the Judoon can help? Stronger gear in their area?"

"Oh wow, I had not thought of that" Rhiannon agreed with glee, accepting the Go Juice from her Tad that had not only cured her but made her feel so alive. Those Blumanchu were so amazing.

"We will need an area" Alice warned.

"I will ask Da" Rhiannon said, her father not spoken of much, even if he was in her life now. She glanced at Ianto to see if he minded, and he nodded to show he agreed. Archie would have somewhere.

After all… Ianto had been dripping in that ear too.

.

.

"Oh dear Sweet Pea… I need to think" Archi said as he laned back, letting Gabriel clamber to his feet on the chair between Archie's legs to reach up and try to bat at the ceiling fan. "Like a monster kitty, isn't he?"

She smiled softly, knowing the sweet spot this one had in everyone's life and not the least bit jealous of the fact her birth father was loving her little brother like this. She had vague memories of him loving her too. Why they had reconnected so easily.

"Well… there is a hanger that is out of action. The couplings for the hovers don't all work. Something in the old wiring and it is so expensive to get rewired, cheaper to rebuild to we did… we were going to decommission it. Your Tad actually mentioned it the other day… a few old Hovers in there connected to the last remining active ports. He asked if he could let the little ones have an old mini hover to start training flights in… I think one or two work so… want to try that darling?"

"Oh Da. I knew you would have an idea!" she gushed happily.

"Hmm… WARREN!" the old man oared, then looked abashed as he apologized for his loud voice to Gabriel like he had scared him, then they both laughed as Gabriel considered the yelling and repeated it.

"WAWWWWWWWWWWENN!"

Warren slammed into the room "Gabe. Was that you? Wow, what a commanding roar. A battlefield voice if ever I heard one."

"I was about to say the same thing" Archie said with pride, "Now… the Hanger over on Third … you know… they might have a use for it, the kids."

"Oh? Is that right young man?" Warren scooped up the child who squealed with glee as he was swung through the air "Litle monster."

Rhiannon sat back as the two men seemed younger while playing with the child of their once love. Yeah. She knew Warren had been in love with her Taddy, even if there had never been hanky panky, he would still walk through fire for him.

And his little monster.

She rubbed her belly with delight as she knew this would be an interesting development to share with Alice.

And if they could convince the Judoon to get involved, what fun ahead. Maybe it was time to ask Tad for help, she knew he was waiting patiently for that and would more than likely already have things going in the background for her.

Such a good provider.

Oh.

Maybe David would like to help, he did seem a little bored lately with Mica in the advanced programme at school and him left to walk home most afternoons alone.

He did seem out of place.

Tad did point that out… oh. Hang on…

Old Bastard!
