"So, wait, how far is Corsca Village from the cove we just left?" Noelle asks.

They were currently riding down a dirt road at the time. It has been several hours since they left Crescent Cove, and it was now early afternoon.

"At the rate we're going, probably by tomorrow. Even if we were to pick up the pace and go at a steady gallop, we wouldn't be there until early the next morning and that's if we ride through the night too." Galen told her.

"So, another day on the road and that means plenty of more uninterrupted time of annoying you." She teases.

A small grin touches the chimp's face.

"Careful, Butterfly. I may just annoy you back." He teases back.

"You can try." Noelle says.

"Don't have to try. I already know plenty of ways to do so." Galen replied.

"Recording me snoring that one time doesn't count. That just got me heated, not annoyed." She counters.

He chuckles, "No, I wasn't talking about that. As amusing as that was. I know there are plenty of other things though."

"Like what?" She inquires.

His grin widens, "I'm not telling. Because then that would be giving it away then it won't work when it is time for me to annoy you."

Noelle huffs, "So, you're just going to leave me guessing then. Is that it?"

"Pretty much. And I'm not giving hints either." He joked.

"Boo, you're no fun." She said.

He arched an eye ridge and briefly looked over his shoulder at her.

"Really, now?" Galen says.

Noelle just smirks at him, "Really."

"I'll remember that next time I have you on your back, writhing beneath me and moaning like no tomorrow." He says, with a sly grin.

Her smirk quickly disappeared, and her cheeks heated up.

"Galen!" She squeaks.

He started laughing when he heard the high pitch tone. It's just a shame he couldn't see the look on her face from his position in front of her on the horse.

"You dirty little perv!" She added.

"Only when it comes to you, apparently." He replied, with laughter still in his voice.

Noelle leveled him with a look. Then she couldn't help the smile that gradually popped up on her face and chuckled a little.

"You really can be a pain sometimes. But at least it's hilarious." She told him.

"Likewise." Galen said.

The pair continued chatting on and off as they continued travelling.

They only still ever stopped to eat and use the bathroom as they went. At some point, they actually switched positions and Galen let Noelle take charge of the horse. So, now he was the one sitting behind her.

Meanwhile with Alan & Pete...

The two men were riding hard, trying to catch up with their friends.

Thankfully, they had an idea of where they were going. They just hope to get to Galen and Noelle before they decide to move on again. Though they like to think that the pair won't move on that quickly with each place they stop at.

The only thing they are currently unsure of, is if they should stop at this cove first, or keep riding on past it to the nearest village.

Usually, when they do stop at a place in the woods that isn't a village though, they never tend to stay more than a night there. Because there was nothing else there for them.

It's safe to assume that if Galen and Noelle left for it yesterday and arrived there late last night, they probably spent the night then moved on.

Odds are, they are on the road now. Probably headed to the nearest village from Crescent Cove.

"You sure we should head straight on to Corsca Village rather than scope out this cove?" Pete asks as he rides beside Alan on his horse.

"I think that would be the better option, Pete. Because whenever we spent the night somewhere in the woods, we never stay longer than one night before moving on.

And even if by some stretch, we are wrong, and they are still at the cove, they're next stop afterwards would be Corsca Village. So, even if we were to get there before them, we can just wait there until they do arrive." Alan surmised.

"Hope you're right there, buddy. Would hate to wait somewhere only to somehow find out they headed down another route." Pete stated.

"C'mon, Pete. We know Galen well enough that he'd want to go to the next nearest village, if not to keep up with their food supplies. The people in the last village even mentioned to us that that's where they are most likely headed after the cove." Alan said, pretty certain of himself.

"I suppose so. Alright then, we'll keep heading west to Corsca then. Keep your fingers crossed that they are either there already or they will meet up with us there. How long until we reach this village anyway?" Pete inquires.

"If we keep riding straight on, and only stopping at night to rest, we'd most likely be there by tomorrow afternoon or evening and that's if we keep riding hard all the way through and not walk the horses or have them trot." Alan informed him.

He's gong based off of calculations in his mind from studying the map and observing how far apart each village is from one another on the map.

The last village he was in, which was called Locknar was not too far from Corsca according to the map. Corsca appeared to be due west, probably a solid thirty miles or so.

Unlike Locknar Village, Corsca is rather large. Only a little smaller than Ansel Village, which was the first village they stopped at and got their first lead on where their friends went.

They flicked the reins once more, speeding up the horses as they ran down the wide dirt path.

With Urko & his Men...

Urko was growing more and more impatient as time went by. They have been in this district now for over a month and still have no solid leads.

It's either that the fugitives haven't hit any of these villages he and his men have been to or some of them have lied to him about the fugitives whereabouts. He also didn't appreciate how a couple of these villages gave him the brush off.

The prefect in the village of Ansel was no help at all and neither were the villagers there. Most there tried ignoring him or were short with him when he asked if the fugitives were seen.

They made it clear that they didn't want him there.

It was no better when he went to go see his cousin, Kaleb not that long ago. Who was the Lieutenant near a village called Larchwood. Upon meeting with Kaleb, he told him that he had seen no such 'fugitives' and indirectly told him to fuck off and leave his garrison.

Urko can't say they ever got along. He thought Kaleb was a sensitive fool and a big human sympathizer. It made hm the black sheep of the family in some sense. But at the same time, he recalls his uncle was no different. It's probably why his own father and Kaleb's, who were brothers, never really gotten along with one another.

Even when Urko questioned some of Kaleb's men, they also said they had no idea what he was talking about and had seen no one fitting their description in or around Larchwood.

That was a few days ago now.

Now he and his men were headed west. He's hoping they may have better luck out that way. Though the nearest village or destination was at least a good three or so days away and that was with any direction or road they decided to take.

That's what he hated about this district. It was just so damn large, and everything was just so spread out. This district had to be at least twice the size of the district he resides in, where Central City is located.

It doesn't help either that a handful of his men have yet to report back to him. The fools must've gotten themselves lost in this district trying to get back to him. But then that's what happens when you try scoping out a territory, you're not very familiar with because they hardly come here.

Again, a lot of it had to do with the fact that this district and his was separated by a large dangerous river that few seldom cross over. Because of this, no one ever came over and become more familiar with the landscape of this district.

"It's strange, Sir. It's like the fugitives up and disappeared. Either that or there are a lot of liars out here covering for them. Or they simply found themselves in a completely different part of the district that we have yet to reach." Urko's commander said, as he rode up next to him.

"Doesn't matter. Either way, we keep searching. They can't hide forever after all." Urko stated.

The commander didn't respond right away. Just gave the gorilla chief a curt nod.

They hope they can find the fugitives soon. Because as of now, they all feel like they have been led on a wild goose chase looking for them. Doesn't help it's been going on a straight month in doing so.

Many of his men were getting tired and just wanted to go back to their own district already.

But Urko was being persistent and stubborn. He didn't care how long he had to be in this godforsaken district. As long as it meant he can find the fugitives and destroy them once and for all.

With Noelle & Galen...

It has been a long ride; the sun was starting to set again as dusk was quickly approaching.

At least they knew by no later than late tomorrow morning, they would be in Corsca Village. Maybe this time, they can stay a little longer there than just the overnight stay they had in Locknar Village.

After all, it kind of sucks when you spent most of your nights sleeping on the ground in the middle of the woods, then a nice, soft bed with a roof over your head.

It was something that had Noelle thinking. Something that she eventually wanted to bring up with Galen at some point. But was unsure when was the best time to do so.

She's wondering if tonight would be a good time to bring it up when they stop and rest for the night.

"As it's getting closer to dark, try to keep a look out for somewhere we can stop and camp for the night." Galen said, as he sat behind her on the horse.

"Ok." Noelle replied.

They still kept Lola at a trot and weren't going very fast. Though they may gradually slow down as it begins to get darker out.

The pair haven't spotted any clearings or smaller paths that led off the main road for a while. They hope to find one soon, otherwise, it maybe a little more difficult to spot any paths or small clearings in the dark.

As it got to about a half hour after night had settled upon them, that is what started happening. It didn't help that it was completely overcast with no moon peeking through the clouds. So, it seemed even darker out.

That is when Noelle told Galen to take out her iPhone and turn on the flashlight setting then use it to see if he can spot any paths, turnoffs or clearings up the dirt road.

Galen reached into Noelle's little leather side pouch around her waist and took the phone out. He then went into the settings and tapped the icon for the flashlight.

Afterwards, he started to shine it around from left to right, looking for any signs of a path.

It wasn't until about sometime later; he did spot a small pathway to the left of the road a few yards ahead of them. Hopefully it leads into the woods to a big enough clearing for all of them to rest at.

"Up ahead on the left. I think I see a small pathway over there." He told her.

"Ok, just let me know when we are just about there." Noelle replied.

"It's not too far at all. You should be able to see it soon." Galen said.

She turned her attention to the left, all while slowing the horse down a little so not to bypass it by mistake.

About three to five minutes later, Noelle did see it. Galen had the flashlight directed towards it, making it easier to spot. Once there, Noelle stopped the horse. He shined the light further down the path.

"It seems kind of narrow. You think we'll be able to fit the horse through it?" She asks.

"It maybe tight, but let's try. Hopefully, it will open up more the further we go in." He says.

"Ok, we'll try." Noelle replied, still a little uncertain they could fit with the horse.

She then urged Lola to go forward onto the narrow path.

As they entered, it seemed like the horse barely just fit as she started walking through. Both Noelle's and Galen's legs were scraping by some bushes that jutted out from the sides of the small path.

It was obvious, that it was more of a foot path for people and not so much for horses or carts to go through.

"Are we even sure this is a path, Galen?" Noelle asks.

"It is, it's probably just haven't been used for a while. Plus, if it weren't, it wouldn't have stretched as far as it is. You can see for yourself, it's still clear up ahead straight through." Galen told her, as he continued shining the flashlight on her phone straight ahead of them.

"Remind me to write out a complaint to the district for not properly maintaining this path and letting it get so overgrown." Noelle joked.

Galen chuckled, "I think they have better things to concern themselves with than a few foot paths that lead off of the roads. But if it makes you feel any better, go right ahead and do so."

They continued on for the next fifteen minutes, until they saw the path gradually getting wider as they went.

Ten more minutes later, they came to a small clearing surrounding by trees and a couple large boulders. It couldn't have been more than ten to fifteen feet around in diameter.

Grass covered most of the ground, though there was one large bare patch of dirt about five feet around near the center.

In a way, it looked like a small campground. Which they were happy about. It was a perfect little spot to rest for the night. Now, all they need to do is gather some sticks and brush to start a fire.

"Alright, lets dismount then find some sticks to start a fire on the patch of dirt over there near the center." Galen instructed.

He got off the horse first, then helped Noelle down.

Galen then grabbed the reins and found a low hanging sturdy branch to hitch the horse to. Afterwards, he continued using the flashlight setting to look for sticks on the ground.

Being they were surrounded by many trees; it didn't take all that long to find all the sticks they needed. Even several pinecones and dried up leaves to use for tinder to start it.

Both he and Noelle were able to gather large armfuls of sticks and brought them over near the dirt patch and set it all down next to it in one big pile.

Then Galen grabbed a few pinecones and dead leaves and made a tiny pile in the center of the dirt patch. Afterwards, he took several handfuls of sticks and piled them on top of that.

"Noelle, can you please point the flashlight at the pile, so I can see what I'm doing." He requests.

"Sure." She says.

She did just that and watched as it only took Galen only a small handful of minutes to get a fire started.

"You should add teaching me how to start fires on the list after horseback riding training." Noelle says.

A small smile appears on his face.

"Yes, I'll add that to the list of many things I still may have to teach you." He teases.

"Many things, huh? Can only imagine what they could be." She retorts.

"Just be grateful you have an excellent teacher." He boasts.

Noelle rolls her eyes, "Excellent teacher? Who told you that? I don't recall telling you that."

"For that remark, I should take some of your food supplies for my own." Galen teased.

"Don't even think about it. You have your own. Don't start hogging the supplies for yourself now. I know you eat an awfully lot as it is, but don't go overboard. Because, if you get any bigger, you won't be able to move as fast. Plus, you may end up breaking Lola's back with the extensive weight." Noelle teased back.

"Hey, are you calling me fat now?" He implied, while leveling her with a look.

"What? You fat? Of course not." She says.

"Oh good, because it sounds like you were saying otherwise." Galen replied.

"More like pleasantly plump." Noelle added with a grin.

She watched as his grin quickly disappeared.

"Take that back, right now." He tells her.

She just crosses her arms with a wide smirk.

"Make me. Oh, wait, you can't." She teased him.

He arches an eye ridge, "Is that a challenge, Butterfly?"

"Maybe." Noelle says, the smirk still ever present on her face.

"Careful, I may feel inclined to hide all of your clothes." He teases.

"Don't even think about it." She counters.

His smirk widens, "All I'm saying, is don't be surprised when you wake up the next morning and find all the clothes in your pack missing."

"Yeah, do that and see what happens." Noelle dares him.

"Oh, I will, when you least expect it. But for now. I think we should eat." Galen says.

They both haven't eaten since this afternoon, so by now, they were both starving.

"Fair enough. I'm starving." She replied.

The pair then went and grabbed their packs that were still connected to the horse's sides.

Then they brought them over with them to the fire and started taking out what they need to eat. They pulled out the thin wooden plates they had and started piling a small handful of fruits, vegetables, and dried meats onto them.

They talked a little more as they ate.

After about ten minutes, both of them have finished and put their plates away. Then they pulled out their blankets and placed them down on the grass. Though they weren't going to sleep just yet but had them out for when they are ready to turn in for the night.

As Galen went and added some more sticks to the fire, Noelle was still trying to figure out how to ask him the one question that has been on her mind lately. A part of her wonders if right now was the right time to ask.

It maybe best to wait until they find Pete and Alan before she comes around to ask him. Because right now, they're main task was finding their friends.

Once they do, then she can start thinking about the future and what possibly lies ahead. The biggest thing of all is, whether or not they will always have to be on the run. Or will there be a time when they can all live in peace without worried about being hunted.

That is the question she really wants to ask him.

After Galen finished tending to the fire, his gaze shifts back to Noelle. He sees that she seems to be staring ahead into the fire and appears to be deep in thought.

"You alright?" He asks her, as he scoots closer to her.

Her gaze shifts from the fire to him.

"Hmm? Oh, umm, yeah. Just have some things on my mind again. Guess you can say I zoned out again a little there." She lightly joked.

He wrinkled his nose a couple times, "What things?"

Noelle was silent for a moment, before speaking.

"Just...well, I do have a question. But I don't think right now is the best time to ask. Maybe better to wait until we find Pete and Alan." She says.

Galen wraps an arm around her shoulders.

"If it is something that is weighing heavily on your mind now, you can ask. It doesn't have to wait." He tells her.

She sighs, "It's just...after we do find them, will...we always be on the run? Will we...ever have a chance to live freely and in peace? Or is this going to be...the rest of our lives?"

Galen was a little surprised by the questions.

But then, he's been on the run for so long at this point. That it never occurred to him when and if it will ever end. Though, he does like to believe that one day, it will end.

He can tell by the look in Noelle's eyes, that perhaps, this isn't the kind of life she wants to always have.

Galen doesn't blame her. No one wants to spend the rest of their life being on the run and being hunted. As much as a part of him has enjoyed this adventure he has had with Alan and Pete, plus, all the extensive knowledge and experiences he has gained, he knows one day, he does want to eventually settle in somewhere someday and live freely again, like he did before he met Alan and Pete.

He reaches up and brushes a couple stray locks over her shoulder, then lightly cups her cheek.

"No, it won't be forever. We will be able to live in peace again, someday. This I do promise you. I understand this is a life you may not want for yourself, and I don't blame you. We will find somewhere we can settle down, all of us." Galen assured her.

"But how? You said it yourself once, Urko won't stop looking for us. Even now, he's here in this district, looking for us. I still worry, that it's only a matter of time before he does find us." Noelle says, with a hint of worry in her voice.

He gives her a soft look, then he leans in and presses his lips to hers in a soft, yet comforting kiss.

She is quick to reciprocate it back. Noelle reaches up and caresses his cheek, as she leans into the kiss more. She felt his tongue poking at her kips, so, she parted them, allowing him entrance.

Noelle sighs, as his tongue gently caresses her. Galen then wraps his arms around her and pulls her into his front.

The kiss gradually becomes more heated as it drags on. The pairs hands started to wander as they began pawing at each other. A soft, muffled moan leaves her lips as his hands dip beneath her shirt and runs the pad of his fingers over her heated skin.

When she pulls back for air, she pulls her shirt off and drops it to the ground next to them.

Galen did the same, discarding his shirt and dropping it down next to hers on the grass. He then pulls her in for another kiss. Noelle wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him in deeper.

During the kiss, he reaches behind and starts to fumble with her bra clip.

After a few moments of struggling, he feels Noelle smile into the kiss, before she reaches back to help him with her bra. She quickly unclips it, and lets it slide down her shoulders.

Eventually, it falls to her lap. Afterwards, she tosses it aside by her shirt, adding to the growing pile of clothes.

They pull back for some more air, then Galen's dark gaze dips down to her bare chest and his eyes darken. Then he reaches up, cupping her breasts, running the pads of his thumbs over her nipples.

Noelle's breath hitches as he does this. The buds stiffen and pucker beneath his touch.

She slowly pulls away to lay back on the grass. Then she kicks off her sneakers and reaches down to grasp the waist band of her shorts and undies and starts to pull them down her legs.

At the same time, Galen quickly sheds his shoes and pants and tosses them on top of his shirt and hers. Before coming ack down to join her on the ground.

Before continuing though, he takes their blankets and lays them out on the ground for them. Noelle moves to lay on top of hers, while Galen pulls his blanket over the two of them.

He places himself above her and they share another passion filled kiss that has their hearts racing and their bodies tingling.

Noelle runs her hands up and down his sides while rubbing her lower half into his, making him grunt. He grounds his erection into her soft mound, rubbing it against her sensitive clit, and garnering a couple moans from her.

After a few moments, they pull away again to breathe. That's when he starts dragging his mouth down her front.

Galen starts peppering her neck with small kisses, all the way down her shoulder. Then he drags his mouth lower and brings it to her chest. He wraps his lips around a nipple and sucks it into his warm mouth.

Noelle tilts her head back with another moan and her hips twitch as he tugs on the little bud with his lips.

Her pussy starts to clench as moisture starts seeping out from the teasing.

He keeps this up for about a minute, before switching to the other, teasing it in the same manner. His sensitive sense of smell was picking up on her arousal as it gradually became stronger. The scent alone was making his erection harder.

Galen eventually pulled away from her chest then came back up to share another kiss with Noelle.

As he kissed her, he reached down with one hand and started to tease her clit with his fingers. When he did this, her hips twitch a few times and a few more muffled moans left her.

Noelle then reached down with her own hand to grasp his erection, figuring if he was going to continue to tease her, then she will tease him back.

She grasped his prick then ran her thumb over the tiny slit at the top, making a small groan leave him and his hips jerk forward. After a couple steady pumps of his staff, she lined it up with her wet opening and started to guide him in.

Galen knuckled the grass on either side of her as he sunk into her tight, inviting heat with a groan.

Noelle tilted her hips up and lightly wrapped her legs around his narrow waist. She then started to slowly buck up against him, grinding herself into his pelvis. She also wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a small kiss to his cheek.

He gave her a small smile, as he pressed a small, sweet kiss to her lips.

Then he wrapped his arms around her and pressed his forehead to hers. They kept their gazes locked as he started to gradually pick up the pace. His hips starting to rock into hers.

A shaky moan left her as he firmly thrusts into her core.

Then he did something new. Galen actually pulled back, sitting up with Noelle in his arms. He spread his knees and had her straddling his hips. He readjusted his hold her, keeping one arm around her back, while the other crosses just beneath her bottom.

Afterwards, he pressed his muzzle into the crook of her neck and started to give strong, jerky upward thrusts, making her bounce on his lap.

A loud gasp left Noelle and she threw her head back with a loud moan as he continued plowing into her core. In this position, her clit was rubbing against pelvis with each thrust.

She started to pant as her hips started to buck into his, meeting each thrust.

Galen let out a loud muffled groan into the crook of her neck as he felt her start to flutter around his swelling length. He continued thrusting up into her hard and fast.

Noelle tightened her legs around his waist and her back arched as he rammed up into her g-spot repeatedly.

Then she pressed her face into his shoulder as a loud muffled cry of pleasure left her as she felt her pussy spasm and clamp down hard around his swollen cock.

With one last jerky thrust, Galen groaned as his release shot deep inside of her core in thick spurts, filling her up, as she continued fluttering around his shaft.

They sat there, trying to catch their breath. Noelle could still feel him spilling into her, her lower abdomen started to swell a little as he continued pumping his seed into her, with each contraction of her inner walls.

Galen placed a small kiss on the side of her neck.

Then he carefully laid her back down, before slowly retracting his length from her with a shaky sigh. He then lied down next to her, pulling his blanket up around them as he scooted in closer and started holding her to him.

Noelle wrapped her arm his torso and pressed her cheek to his right peck.

They laid there, basking in the aftermath of their lovemaking. Just like the first couple times, it seemed to take a lot out of them. It wouldn't be surprising if they fall asleep shortly, seeing as most of their energy was sapped.

It must've been a couple minutes, before either of them said something.

"We will have a normal life again someday, Noelle. You'll see." Galen told her, as he looked up into the navy-colored sky above the canopy of trees while he laid there with his arms wrapped around her form.

Noelle was silent for a moment, before answering.

"I know, Galen. And... I'm glad it will be with you." She says.

Galen shifted his gaze down to her, then he tilted his head down and placed a small kiss on top of her head.

"I love you." He whispers.

Noelle turned slightly and kissed his right peck beneath her cheek.

"I love you too." She whispers back.

They could only stay awake a little longer, before they both eventually fell asleep in each other's arms.

Like the previous nights, they slept soundly through the night. The only sounds heard, were the feint chirps of crickets and the slight crackle of the fire that was gradually getting smaller and dying as the night went on. Until it went out completely, leaving the slumbering pair in the dark.

Until Next Time ;)
