Esdeath's Estate, Greater Germanic Reich

Esdeath reviews the photos provided to her by Schörner and Wessel with Run in the same office as her, typing out a report for all of the people she spotted through the pictures.

"If there is anything I'm not favoring are these photos. A CCTV camera could only capture much before it becomes grainy and difficult to point out," Esdeath complains as she holds up a photo from the Greenland hangar from Greenland West Station One. "Ones that came to mind immediately were Akame and Tatsumi. Those two I could never forget." Esdeath further comments as Run continues to type.

"I've set up an outline and added basic information about Akame such as her name, height, and physical features. Anything you would need for me to write?" Run asks. Esdeath ponders for a moment about what to have Run to type for the report.

"Type everything I say," Esdeath clears her throat. "Akame is a young female of extraordinary abilities. Having acquired her assassin training from an early age," Esdeath continues with Run beginning to type each letter and pausing after each sentence to allow him to catch up. "Abilities include speed, stealth, and a strong determination and disposition. Akame wields a single-bladed Japanese katana. The katana is an Imperial Arms that wields the ability to implement a deadly curse that takes the victim's life in less than a second. Furthermore, the user may use the katana's trump card by cutting themselves with it and suppressing the pain. Once activated the user has enhanced speed, reflexes, and power. The katana holds the discretion to select its user after meeting a specific condition. Akame, and her katana, are to not be taken lightly." Esdeath gives a brief description to Run for him to type out. He pulls out the sheet and hands it over to Esdeath to review it. "It's good but there are some errors. Hold onto it and redo it once we go through the rest." Esdeath further instructs Run.

"Understood," Run receives back the paper and inserts a second sheet into the typewriter after setting it up once more. "Shall we do one for Tatsumi?"

"No," Esdeath responded. "Only a few of Hitler's inner circle know about my relationship with Tatsumi, only Hitler know Tatsumi's relationship with me. Göring, Bormann, Speer, and Goebbels know about Tatsumi's existence. Although Bormann and his conservatives have been trying their best to keep me in my place, that is if the Obergruppenführers hadn't been doing so," Esdeath adds in. "But of the Burgundian SS, only Himmler knows fully." Esdeath continued.

"Then for the militarists, should Generalfeldmarschall Schörner be made aware? of Tatsumi" Run asks.

"No," Esdeath rejects with a relaxed tone. "Generalfeldmarschall Schörner, Reichsmarschall Göring, and the rest of the leading Militarists of the Wehrmacht know about Tatsumi's Imperial Arms and use. Unfortunately for them, the German SS and I have prevented the Militarists from taking him from me," Esdeath continues. Esdeath grabs another photo and she squints closer. She passes the photo over to Run who also has a glance at it. "Tell me, does this man look similar to you?" Esdeath points at the picture of the hangar. Run looks closer and realizes what he sees. "Oh, struck a nerve?"

"That is not a man, Esdeath," Run responded but Esdeath chuckled.

"I knew this angle was difficult to note," Esdeath exchanges the photo to a second photo that is closer to the stolen Fokker F27. "How about this one?" Edeath gives Run the second photo, he becomes stunned by what he sees clearly but he regains his composure.

"That is Kurome and beside her has to be Wave." Run passes the photo back at Esdeath. Looking closer at the photo Esdeath also comes to the realization.

"Is that so? Two missing subordinates from the Jaegers both serving the American brute?" Esdeath becomes disappointed. "Such cruelty is fate. I've been so focused on fighting and maintaining my position for the past twenty-four years that I've forgotten some of the faces of my subordinates. That is if I do not have a picture of them. But I do forget the faces of those I've killed simply because they're weaker than me."

"What should I type for those two?" Run asks.

"I trust that you would type a detailed report for those two for Feldmarschall Schörner and the rest of the Obergruppenführers of the German SS." Esdeath continued.

"Will they not find the concepts of Kurome and Wave's Imperial Arms difficult? Wave's Imperial Arms is seen as an upgrade of Tatsumi's Imperial Arms and the Kurome's allows her to raise eight members of the dead." Run informs Esdeath, but Esdeath considers his statement. The militarists are pragmatists and would seek new methods for military efficiencies and conquests.

"I understand your concerns... the militarists are by far the rationalists, so they find it difficult to accept Wave and Kurome's Imperial Arms, it would be reasonable that they would seek to find their own or produce more powerful weapons. They tried to take Tatsumi and his Imperial Arms away from me, but the German SS blocked them," Esdeath stands up from her chair. "If they cause a fuss about what has been reported to them then let me deal with them. Now, just type what you think is right." Esdeath moves away from her desk and walks over to the window as Run begins to type away. Esdeath peers from her window to see Shizuka and Seryu sparring. "I just wonder what would Seryu and Bols think about having to fight against their old peers of the Empire. They died once under the belief that their comrades would continue to fight for the Empire. But now that they're here, then they would find it hard to fight against them," As Esdeath continues to watch the sparring match with Seryu getting the upper hand. But as she sees Seryu winning a faint devilish smirk forms on her face. "Then again, it would be interesting to see them fight. I wonder what would win out, their comradery or their Burgundian indoctrination." Esdeath brushes off the smirk and turns to face Run who finished typing a brief report of Wave and Kurome for the Generalfeldmarschall and the rest of the intelligence agencies and even one for the German-SS.
Run glances at the photo set of the hangar's inside and looks at three more figures as he tries to recall where he remembers seeing one of them from.

"I have a feeling I've seen this one's face before," Run stands up from his chair. "A pair of twin tails and a giant rifle on her back. That must be why the statement 'laser-like-beam-induced explosion' was listed in the report," Run holds onto the photo and places it inside of the file. "If I may, I'm going to bring in Seryu if she knows about this one because she mentioned losing to a member of Night Raid in a canyon. Stating features that are near-similar to this one." Run asks before Esdeath gestures for him to go. Run salutes Esdeath before leaving Esdeath's office.
As Esdeath looks through the window, seeing Sten and Bols spar and Bols appearing to be on the losing side, Esdeath turns around and walks over to the typewriter Run was working on. She grabs hold of one of the reports and begins to read silently to herself.

"Some bias I see here. I would have thought Run would have inputted some bias against Kurome after what she did to him, but I digress," Esdeath places the report down. "But it is hard to believe she would've resorted to such measures," Esdeath then lifts the photo that she first presented to Run, sitting back on her chair, Esdeath admires Tatsumi's face captured from the CCTV footage. "It is only a matter of time for you to arrive at my feet," Esdeath glances over at Akame's face. "And it's only a matter of time until we meet again Akame. I'd fancy a second duel between us," Esdeath places the photo down and reads through the reports Run has typed out for her. "A question that I want for them to answer is how are they around? There is no way they could have followed me. Even after Kurome's death."

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Ok-ok, I forfeit! I forfeit!" Shizuka cries and taps out as Seryu holds her in a scissor hold. Hearing her forfeit, Seryu lets go and pushes Shizkua off from her. Shizuka stands up and dusts off the dirt from her battle dress. "Geez, you've certainly gotten stronger," Shizuka points at Seryu. "But you only got lucky because I'm still recovering after having my bones broken on that ice-breaking wheel." Shizkua comes up with an excuse for her failures.

"Then you shouldn't have broken into Esdeath's room," Seryu glances over at the defeated Shizkua. "I'd say, justice was dispensed properly at that time," Seryu responded. Shizuka turns around with disdain after having lost. "We should face off again when we get the chance." Seryu responded with a smile.

"Sure, perhaps I might show up with a pistol to settle the odds," Shizuka responded as she turned around. "Now, who's the next poor bastard that wants to face off against her?" She points over to Sten. "You, Sten. You're up." Sten cracks some of his joints to ready himself to spar against Seryu. Before Seryu can put herself in a stance, Bols appears behind her.

"Perhaps if you let me, I would much rather fight against him," Bols enters the arena, giving his cap to Seryu. "Let's make this interesting. Just strength and technique: No Imperial Arms, weapons, or abilities. Got it?" Bold proposes terms for the match.

"Heh, I wouldn't have it any other way," Sten positions himself. "Don't cry if you lose, family man." Sten taunts before Koro drops a handkerchief, initiating the match. The two begin to spar and wrestle with one another, fighting and competing in a contest of strength and will. As the two spar, Seryu walks over to Koro and picks him up from the ground, holding him in her arms.

"You're a great referee Koro." Seryu puts on a proud smile on her face. But as Seryu and the others observe, Run walks over to Seryu.

"Seryu," Run calls out to Seryu, raising his right hand to salute her. Seryu turns around and uses her right hand to salute.

"Run, you here to spar?" Seryu asks.

"No," Run declines but presents Seryu with the file he holds. She grabs hold of the file and lets go of Koro. "In it is a photo that Esdeath needs your help in," Run points to a figure in the photo. "Do you recognize her?" Run brings his finger back as he observes Seryu's expression change to a contemptuous one. "From that reaction you know, do you?" Seryu closes and hands Run back the file, changing back to her cheerful. "Let's leave, for Esdeath may need your help in identifying her."

"Of course, she may have beaten me once. But now that she is here, then I can take my revenge on her," Seryu turns to the fight and sees Bols getting the upper hand. "You got this Bols!" Seryu cheers Bols on as he wraps around to try and make Sten tap out. "Let's go." The two leave the sparring match with Koro in toe. As the three leave, Suzuka takes head into what the two might be doing.

"So what do you think those two might be doing?" Suzuka questions. "Know what, I just might follow."

"Did you learn nothing?" Mez questions Suzuka's mentality.

"I did, but curiosity is killing me in what they're doing. Esdeath hadn't left the building all day," Suzuka turns around. "Mez, Ibara. Keep an eye on the match." Suzuka quickly leaves and follows the two, keeping her presence minimal. Walking to Esdeath's office, Run opens and lets Seryu and Koro enter, and Run closes the door behind him after entering just before Suzuka can enter. She curses under her breath but keeps her ear close. The three salute Esdeath. Esdeath turns around and reciprocates their salute. the three

"Run told me that you know of the woman in the photo," Esdeath walks closer to Run, grabs hold of the file, and returns it to Seryu. "Now, explain whats in the photo. Specifically, the photo Run showed you." Esdeath steps back and nods at Run who returns back to the typewriter and inserts a blank sheet of paper. Seryu opens and focuses on a singular person: Mine.

"That woman, SS-Gruppenführerin, is called Mine," Seryu closes the file and raises her head to Esdeath. "She was a member of Night Raid and murdered both Captain Ogre and Dr. Stylish," Seryu explains but slowly lets her gudge capture her. But she subsides it and reacts to Esdeath. "If you allow me, Esdeath, allow me to kill her. I can present her head to you and the Imperial Arms to the SS and the Führer. She works up as she continues. "Furthermore, her Imperial Arms can be used to crush the Reich's enemies and to spread the justice of the National Socialist party onto our enemies!" Seryu continues. "Esdeath, allow me to hill her and the rest of Night Raid and we can use all of their Imperial Arms for the Reich's victory." Seryu silences as Esdeath raises her hand, Seryu stands back at attention. Esdeath walks closer to Seryu and plants her right hand on Seryu's shoulder. Confused, Seryu glances at Esdeath.

"You want to enact vengeful justice against Mine, correct?"Esdeath at Seryu. "Hearing your description helped me remember something I've long forgotten," Esdeath removes her hand and walks around Seryu. "Fine then, you can kill her, but I much prefer to have her alive," Esdeath walks in front of Seryu and stands before her. "That is if you have the heart to kill two of your old comrades." Seryu reopens the file and spots the faces of Wave and Kurome. Her eyes widen as her feet break from position and her hands grasp tightly on the photo. "From that reaction, I can tell that you do not want to fight them. Am I correct?" Esdeath asks, portraying a soft and reassuring smile.

"Wave, Kurome. What are you two doing with Night Raid?" Memories flash back as Seryu tightly holds the photo. A sense of betrayl whelms Seryu's high spirits. The time spent with her old comrades are ones that she would not forget. The hope of seeing Wave and Kurome again to fight like in the olden days kept Seryu going. But seeing them woking together with Night Raid, meant only one thing to her: Betrayl.

"Overwhelmed I see," Esdeath embraces Seryu. "Do not fret. You don't have to kill them. One could say I know a doctor who could help rehabilitate them." Esdeath reassures Seryu. Assuring her that she doesn't need to kill them but to have them return to the Reich and use them to further the goals of the Reich. As the three continue to work on making the reports in identifying the rest of the people in the image, Suzuka is captured and dragged out of Esdeath's hallways and back outside by her guards.

Reichsmarschall Amt
Germania, Greater Germanic Reich

In the office building of the Reichsmarschall, Göring reads and skims through the reports made by Esdeath in collaboration with the Abwehr to uncover the identities of the attackers. Uncovering the names of all but two of the attackers on the Greenlandic stations. He remains skeptical as the reports came from an individual of the German SS but due to the outbreak of war the need for allies in one's enemies is of greater importance.
"So how much can this be true? Is it verified?" Göring asks as he tosses the file on his desk. "Has the Abwehr double-checked the information?"

"No, they hadn't Reichsmarschall," Generalfeldmarschall Schörner responded. "This information primarily came from the SS-Gruppenführerin herself. Something I would always be wary of. Because we do not have any other forms of evidence of the names of the people in the photos we could only rely on eyewitness testimonies of the survivors and postmortem records." A stressed and tensed aura of Göring wraps around him as he places a hand on his forehead.

"Just what will I tell Hitler? That this information is speculative? What would be stopping him from allowing the German SS to keep these 'Imperial Arms'? These are dangerous materials, I hope you know that Generalfeldmarschall." Göring relaxes back on his chair.

"Which is why the Wehrmacht must get their hands on them," Schörner walks closer to Göring's desk. "The German SS already has Frau Partas since 1939, and you've already seen from my report and that of Generalmajor Wessel from Sunday. The German SS are getting stronger by the day and God knows what they have in the SS State. If the Wehrmacht can at least get hands on one of those 'Imperial Arms' then it will change things in our favor. It matters not how we get them, it's just that we have to get them before the German SS can," Schörner continues. "Even after the SS revolt, they're still the favorite of Hitler." Göring stands up from his chair and turns to his office window that overlooks the Volkshalle, across from his office separated from the Tiergarten. Taking into consideration of Schörner's warnings he turns to him.

"I'll see if we can set up a meeting with him about this matter. That is if Bormann doesn't impede but everyone already knows that he's going to try and intercept," Göring turns to Schörner."I just hope that the German SS is too proud that they think this group automatically goes to them instead of actively getting Hitler's attention" Göring walks over to the phone to connect with his secretary. "Hello, try and connect with the Führerpalast and set me up a meeting with the Führer. And make it quick too." He places the phone down.

"Now let us hope that the Führer speaks with us first before the SS." Schörner comments.

"That is if Bormann doesn't intercept us and prioritize the SS, screwing us over." Göring responds.

"So be it." Schörner grabs his military cap and leaves.

Moments pass in the Führerpalast, and Bormann walks with the Führer. Relaying everything that came to his desk.
"The operation plans for Operation Saxon are coming into fruition, my Führer. We're preparing to establish sectors to get fifty thousand men and equipment by the end of the month." Bormann reports to Hitler as they take a stroll through the Führergarten. "But our stockpile on the V-4 rockets ran dedicated for the invasion of the United States is nearly depleted. If you ask me, Herr Speer might not be able to provide the V-4 rockets for he said that he would focus more on nuclear arms development." Bormann continues.

"Is that so?" Hitler responded, walking slightly hunched forward as he walked with a cane to alleviate the pain in his chest. "Speer seemed to be focused on making the perfect nuclear weapon. I care not for how powerful such weapon is if it destroys everything and leaves us with nothing," Hitler comments. "Such Jewry is what Speer and I despised. But most of Germany's greatest minds seemed to be fascinated by it so I had to allow it to be continued." Hitler coughs.

"I agree, my Führer," Bormann chuckles. "Another thing my Führer," Bormann catches Hitler's attention. "Your office received two appointment details from both the German SS and Reichsmarschallamt offices."

"Oh? And what do they want from me?" Hitler replied.

"Neither said anything specific. But it did not relate to anything important due to how hastily the voices of their secretaries were." Bormann spoke with a mild disparaging tone against the two branches. "I know the real reason why. To see their reaction, I might only allow the SS to have that meeting with Hitler over the Wehrmacht. It would be funny to hear Göring's complaints after being denied." Bormann thinks to himself as he continues to walk by Hitler's side.

"It would be for the best to host the two this Friday before Operation Saxon," Hitler's response catches the Brown Eminence off guard and makes him stop in his tracks. Hitler slowly turns to Bormann. "Is something the matter, Bormann?"

"No-no. But if that is something you want, my Führer then I will have it arranged," Bormann forces a smile before turning face and leaving to set up the schedule between the Führer, the SS, and the Wehrmacht. He leaves disappointed as Hitler continues on his walk through the garden.

10 May 1963
Führerpalast
Germania, Greater Germanic Reich

Inside the pristine white marble halls and red marble columns of the Führerpalast, passing the ideal human statues of Arno Breker, the footsteps of the major military branches walk opposingly against one another. Though the two groups were granted a meeting with the Führer each assumed that the other didn't get a chance to set up a meeting with Hitler. As they walked to the Führer's meeting room, they finally ran into each other. The two representatives meet just outside of Hitler's meeting room in the Führerpalast, each in their best dress uniform and Göring wearing his regalia.

"Heil Hitler, Reichsmarschall Göring, Feldmarschall Schörner," Esdeath salutes and greets both Göring and Schörner. The two respond likewise to both Esdeath and Felix Steiner.

"And what brings you two in today SS-Gruppenführerin Partas and SS-Obergruppenführer Steiner," Göring asks the two, hiding behind a frown that contains his indignance. "And what brings the German Waffen SS in today?"

"That is something I'd like to know myself," Steiner replied. "We were assured that this was only between us and the Führer, not the Wehrmacht."

"The same was told to us," Schörner responded. Esdeath glances at Göring's uniform.

"Still pompous as ever I see. Wearing that Pour le Mérite medal and holding his two batons," Esdeath glances over at Schörner and to Steiner. "As per us, we're more or less normal." Esdeath glances back at the two leaders of the militarist faction. "Either way, the matters of the German SS do take priority because we are part of the party ... in contrary to the state military." Esdeath responded.

"What does that supposed to mean?" Schörner steps forward before being blocked by one of his batons. Stepping back Schörner recomposes himself. "You are correct... but considering how we are at a state of war against the United States, then the needs of the military ought to come at the same if not before the party."

"Better watch you say next, Generalfeldmarschall," Steiner interjects. "But before we become uncivilized, it would be preferable to let the German SS enter first." Steiner continues. But the door opens to Hitler's meeting hall by Bormann looking at the four. Seeing the Brown Eminence standing in front of them they concluded why they came together at the same time: to have them riled up and be seen as incompetent while he watches from the sidelines. Making them despise him even more. The five situate themselves inside of the meeting before the Führer enters. The doors to Hitler's meeting room open up and all stand to salute and greet Hitler as he reciprocates their salutes. Hitler walks in without his and wearing his military uniform, standing up straight and projecting his strength on all. Hitler sits down first followed by the rest but despite his power projection then, they can see that not only is his Parkinson's taking control but the wounds he suffered after the failed attempt on his life are slowly taking root to contribute to his pain.

"It has come to my attention," Hitler pushes his greying-white hair to the side by only using his right hand. "That you four have something of noteworthy for me," Hitler gestures to the side of the German SS. "Herr Steiner, Frau Partas do you two have something to inject?" Esdeath stands up from her chair first walks over to Hitler and hands him a file. Esdeath walks over back to her seat.

"My Führer. What I've presented to you are members of an elite task force that I've been developing for some time," Esdeath introduces as Hitler opens the file. "Their utilization as an elite task force can lead the Reich to nothing short but a total victory," As Hitler reads through each member's list he becomes skeptical, but since they came from Esdeath herself he trusts it. But he chuckles at it. "If you desire testimony, my Führer, then I recommend getting testimony from SS-Obergruppenführer Steiner and Generalfeldmarschall Schörner." Esdeath continued before she sat down. Hitler closes the file and pushes it forward on the table.

"This unit of yours, the Einsatzgruppen Eis is certainly to be of great use to us. Even now, we should use any advantages we can get against the Americans. And even against the Bolsheviks," Hitler continues as he turns to Esdeath. "SS-Gruppenführerin and SS-Obergruppenführer, you may utilize this group how the SS sees fit for Operation Saxon," Then Hitler turns to Göring and Schörner. "And what would the Wehrmacht wish to discuss with me." Now given the chance, Schörner stands up and presents Hitler with a file in their hands before Göring stands up and directs his attention to Hitler, placing his batons on the table.

"My Führer, it has come to our attention that our Greenlandic stations were attacked by a group of people we believe are of American origin. In the file is a report generated from the German SS's own SS-Gruppenführerin Esdeath Partas. Providing a report of the identity of those in the photos," Göring glances to Esdeath for he sensed Esdeath's gaze glaring at him. He remains staunched as he continues to speak with the Führer. "From these reports, the Abwehr determined that they also utilized Imperial Arms." Göring continues until being cut off by Hitler.

"On with it Reichsmarschall." He hurrys Göring.

"On behalf of the Wehrmacht, we ask you to grant us special permission to capture these individuals and convert them into assets needed for the Wehrmacht." Göring breaks the tension as the room falls silent. Göring senses a cold sensation originating from Esdeath. Chills shiver down his spine as his request catches her ire. But keeping professional in front of Hitler, Esdeath stands up from her chair.

"And what for is this request, Reichsmarschall? If anything, I've helped in uncovering the identities on all but two of the seven seen in here along with their Imperial Arms," Esdeath turns to Hitler. "My Führer, if you will allow, allow me and the rest of the German SS to capture them and convert them for the uses of the German SS and the Party as a whole." Esdeath continued. "Furthermore, my Führer, the best way to take down an Imperial Arms user is another!"

"I protest, my Führer," Göring objects. "I believe a person with a mental state like hers should not run a group like this. If I remind you, my Führer of objectionable outbursts she committed since the beginning of the campaign. Assaulting a general officer of the Heer, insubordination, as well as causing a scene. That is why, for the betterment of the Reich and the Wehrmacht, these individuals of interests should be under the sole jurisdiction of the Wehrmacht. Consider the reality, if these individuals of interest were under the jurisdiction of the German SS then they would be legitimately better off dead." Göring continues before Hitler raises his hand to end the argument.

"I've considered the facts and I've made the decision," The two then sat as Hitler stood. He turns to the militarists."Reichsmarschall, Generalfeldmarschall. I grant the Wehrmacht full authority to capture and convert these Americans for the usage of the Fatherland," Hitler turns to Esdeath and Steiner. "SS-Gruppenführeri, SS-Obergruppenführer. My order stands, but in the case they ever appear in front of the German SS, then I grant you full authority to capture them but they are to be given to the Wehrmacht. Understand." Hitler gives his orders to the group. Finally sitting down as the group remains quiet. "Now if there is nothing more on the table then this meeting is over and Operation Saxon will continue as is. Good day everyone." Hitler stands up as the rest follow suit. Despite Esdeath's objections., Görings inquiry paid off and the SS-Gruppenführerin could no longer object.
