The next morning, Robert was up bright and early, grabbed a shower, and was about to shave when Holly walked in.
"Good morning, luv." He gave her a quick kiss.
"Good morning. You should have woke me up. I could have joined you." Holly leaned against the door frame.
Robert took her in. "I would still be in there." He put some shaving cream on his face.
Holly picked up his razor. "Maybe, but it would have been fun." She got a little wicked gleam in her eyes.
Robert grinned as he sat her on the sink. "Still could be."
Downstairs
Jayne and Tiffany both looked at each other as they heard a knock, Jayne going over to open it. Jayne was surprised to see JJ. "What are you doing here?"
"Gran asked me to bring by breakfast." JJ carried in a basket over to the dining room table.
"Who ordered breakfast?" Tiffany asked after greeting JJ.
"I have a confession, I had such a good time last night. I wanted to thank you, Jayne, and your parents." JJ saw Seana looking at the basket. "Rose sent something extra special for you."
Seana lit up as she waited.
JJ got out a little container with a pink, sprinkled donut. "What do you think?"
Seana squealed and gave JJ a hug.
Tiffany could not hide her smile. "Oh, you are now her second favorite person! This was so sweet and thoughtful of you and Rose!"
Annie came out of her room and saw JJ. "Joe Kelly? Is that you?"
"Annie Donely?" JJ went over and gave her a hug.
"It's so good to see you! I see you've met my mom and daughter." Annie went over to pick up Seana.
"Met us? He's one of Seana's favorite people, isn't he darling?" Tiffany asked Seana, who was too distracted by her donut.
Jayne felt a bit of jealousy seeing the closeness but tried to push it aside. "Thanks a lot, JJ. You definitely made today better."
JJ looked at Jayne, his eyes lighting up. "A guy likes to hear that. Now I've got a meeting. You ladies have a nice day and give my love to your parents." JJ gave Jayne a hug.
"Definitely." Jayne replied, returning his hug. She then watched him leave. "I didn't realize you two knew each other."
"Oh yes, when my father died, Ethan disappeared, and Seana was still very little. We bonded over heartbreak. He had this woman that he was really in love with that just left him, and that's how I felt it was with Ethan." Annie sat Seana down with a plate and a napkin.
Jayne knew Annie was talking about her. She didn't really realize how the end of their relationship affected him.
Upstairs
Robert rolled off of Holly in their bed, both catching their breath. "You see, this is why I had to shower alone."
"Not my fault you have no self-control." Holly teased as she gave him a kiss.
"When it comes to you? Of course I don't." Robert gave her a kiss as Holly's phone went off.
"Really!" Holly reached over and answered it. "Celia?"
"Holly, Grant and I got the results. I wanted to know if you and Robert would be with us when we read them?" Celia asked Holly, knowing they could use the support.
"Of course. Could you meet us at Robert's office?" Holly asked.
"Yes, in about an hour?" Celia asked.
Holly looked at Robert as she nodded. "Yes, in an hour."
