Jay looked across the table at the steakhouse, finding Erin breath-takingly sexy in the violet dress she was wearing. It complimented her figure to perfection, and in Jay's eyes made her stand head and shoulders above everyone else in the building in the beauty stakes. He knew he was a very lucky man.

As they waited for their main course to arrive, the topic of conversation had just turned to work. In truth Erin was doing most of the talking. Jay was a naturally quiet person, and sometimes struggled to get a word in when she was in full flow. Occasionally it seemed like she was talking at him rather than with him, not that he particularly minded.

"So, I'm going to take full control of the creative department after Wrestlemania. Until then, I'm going to be doing some work on the women's division storylines while I get into the swing of things."

"I think that's sensible," he said, drinking some of the expensive but very nice red wine that they were both enjoying.

"Yes, me too. I agreed with dad when he suggested it. It means I've got some Wrestlemania matches to put together, including my own with Sylvie. Safe to say I've got to have her beat me."

He nodded. "Definitely. The fans can't wait for that to happen already. Sylvie's be becoming a fan favourite, mostly because of how much they hate me."

"Right? And there's also Raquel's match with Bayley. It looks like they're going to be the main event on night one."

Wrestlemania was a show so big that it spanned two nights, Saturday and Sunday of the weekend it was held. That still only left two main event matches each year. Getting to appear in a Wrestlemania main event was one of the biggest honours a wrestler could have in their career. Jay had already done it once, and would do it again on night two this year. Raquel was going to get the honour on night one, and he couldn't have been happier for his friend. He was also delighted for Erin on her promotion. It was nice to have people to feel happy for. He enjoyed it. It made him happy in turn.

"I'm very grateful to Raquel," he blurted out. That was how it went when he shared his feelings, and he could only do it with Erin. They just dropped out as soon as his brain reached the point where it would allow their release. Often, like now, they didn't really fit the conversation that was underway.

For her part, Erin seemed to understand why this happened, and never showed the slightest irritation or confusion. She just went with it, allowing him to say what he wanted to say.

"Grateful?" she prompted, drinking some of her wine.

To Jay's frustration, the server decided to arrive then with their mains at that moment. There was a New York strip for him and a filet mignon for her. They both looked perfectly cooked and presented, which he expected for the price. The arrival of the food became the topic of conversation as they shared their first impressions. Jay thought his chance to share something had gone, but Erin brought it back for him when they started eating. He was grateful for that, too.

"You were saying you were grateful to Raquel?"

"Yes," he said, smiling although he had his mouth full. "She has taught me what it's like to have a real friend. A friend who isn't in it for any selfish reason of their own. A friend who supports me and cares about me." As he spoke, it occurred to him that he should be thanking Erin herself for those things, not telling her about feeling grateful to Raquel. "I have those things from you too, of course. Even more so from you. I'm putting my foot in it, aren't I?"

"No," Erin said comfortably. "I know you're not saying you don't get those things from me. Friendship is different to a romantic relationship. I'm glad you and Raquel are getting close. You deserve a good friend, and she is a good friend. That girl is someone I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of. But when she cares, she cares deeply. I too am glad to have her as a friend. You know, we should plan a double date. Me and you, Raquel and Z."

Jay immediately felt anxious, and he wasn't sure why. Erin was his girlfriend and Raquel was his friend. Maybe it was the thought of spending time with Zelina? Her attitude had softened towards him, but he was a long way from convinced that she liked him. Or maybe it was just the thought of being a part of a bigger group? He liked to spend time with people one on one, when he did it at all.

"Do people really do that?" he asked hesitantly. "I mean, what even is a double date?"

"It's the same as an ordinary date, but with more people. It's a chance to spend time with friends as well as your partner. Give it a shot for me, Jay. I'll arrange it all with Raquel and Z. All I want you to do is come with me and enjoy yourself."

He greatly appreciated how she was trying to take all of the stress out of it for him. He wanted to go on more dates with Erin, and he liked the idea of spending time with Raquel. Maybe a night out with Zelina might make him feel better about being around her? Sometimes you just had to push through the uncertainty about doing something and get it done.

"I can do that," he decided. "But no karaoke nights or any of that crap."

Erin laughed, almost choking on a mouthful of fries. "Damn it," she said, continuing to laugh. "You caught me by surprise there. You've got a deal. A double date, but no karaoke."

The conversation continued over the main course and then the dessert. Jay found the whole experience fun and relaxing. Erin was so easy to be around, and it made him incredibly happy. He found himself finally starting to understand her a little better. It dawned on him that rather than demanding the social trappings that came with the Voight family wealth, she actually liked to be without them when she could. He wondered if next time he took her out he might try a burger restaurant or a Pizza Hut and see how she reacted to that. It was worth trying, he figured.

"Thank you for a great time," Erin said as they left the steakhouse.

"You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's shopping trip now."

The more he thought about searching around stores for gloves that Erin would like to wear, the more it turned Jay on. He was starting to somewhat enjoy her kink. In time, he hoped she would be as open to enjoying his.

"Me too. But there's the rest of tonight first," she said, making it plainly obvious that sex was on offer.

The next morning, Jay was still feeling great. There had been some great sex the previous night, and a delicious room service breakfast this morning. Now they were beginning the shopping trip, aiming to find some gloves that Erin liked.

"Feels funny to be shopping for gloves," he said as they walked into one of Chicago's biggest shopping malls. "Funny in a good way," he quickly added in case she thought he was taking a shot at her about her kink. That was definitely not his intention.

"That might not be all we're shopping for," she said coyly.

"Oh?" he asked. Although he knew what she meant, he wanted to hear her say it.

"I figure we can find some nice duct tape somewhere."

Just hearing her say that made Jay start getting hard immediately. The prospect of getting to tape her up became even more of a turn on the longer he had to wait for it. It was possible that she was making him wait for that very reason.

Before long, they approached a hardware store. It sold anything from power tools to cleaning supplies. Erin made straight for the entrance.

"Jay, let's look in here."

"You won't find leather gloves in here," he pointed out.

Erin kept her voice lower now that they were walking by customers in the store's aisles. "I don't only like leather ones. Rubber ones are nice, as are nitrile and latex ones. I feel jealous of Sylvie Brett every week, wearing those black nitrile ones they give her."

Jay smiled, enjoying and appreciating her openness. "You wore those once, I remember. You had a segment where you dressed like Sylvie to mock her. Dr Erin Voight. You know, that does have a ring to it."

"Honestly, I was turned on during that whole segment. It's remarkable you don't think I'm weird."

Jay grinned. "No more than you'll think I'm weird when I've got you tied up and your mouth taped."

"Weird? I'm looking forward to that."

She was so good at saying the right thing to fire him up. He was glad his coat finished low enough to hide the boner that was straining against his jeans.

"Hey, cleaning aisle," Erin said, taking his hand and pulling him into it. The gloves section was right there as soon as they entered. There were many different packages of rubber gloves in various colours. There were also some boxes of nitrile gloves, 200 in each.

"Choose one for me," Erin said with a big grin on her face. "Pick something you think I'll like. Something you think I'll look good in."

"You'll look good in all of them. But I'll pick something you might like. Then you get to choose one too. When we get to the tapes, we'll choose one of those each too."

Jay eyed up the selections in front of him. Rubber gloves weren't designed for sex appeal, and they were not his kink. It left him feeling uncertain, so instead he tried to imagine what Erin might like. He spotted some dark green ones that were longer than most of the others, based on the pictures on the packaging. "These," he decided, taking one of the packs off the hook they were on.

"Mmmm. I like," Erin said. "My choice is easy. We were just talking about nitrile ones, and here they are. They don't have black ones, so I'll go for these purple ones." She picked one of the boxes up.

"Alright," Jay said, having a great time. He handed the gloves he had chosen to Erin. "Now we need to find where the tapes are."

That didn't take them long. They were soon looking at a display with various tapes: Packing tape, duct tape, electrical tape, Gorilla tape, it was all there. As with the gloves, there was an assortment of colours available.

"You choose first," Jay said.

"They don't have any green or purple. Some of these are quite cheap, so they probably suck. That white one I tried for the pictures I sent you was strong and sticky. We need some like that. Hey, they have a white one here."

Jay looked at the roll Erin picked up. It wasn't semi-translucent like the one in her pictures that he had looked at so many times. This one was pure white, wide, and looked to by quite thick. He well knew that the thicker tapes were generally the stickier ones. "Is that your choice?" he asked.

"Yeah, I think it is," Erin said with a smile, handing it to him. "Your turn."

While she had been choosing, Jay had already seen what he wanted. Gorilla Tape was the strongest and stickiest of all. He picked up a black roll. "This will tie you up real good."

"We shall see," she said, teasing him a little. "We'll buy these, and the gloves. I'm going to take them all home and keep them until I move into my place. When we spend our first night there, we'll use them all."

Jay's mind was blown at the prospect, but he was being made to wait yet again. It was so frustrating. "How long is that going to be?" he grumbled.

"Not long." She gave him a peck on the lips. "Things move a lot faster when mortgages aren't involved."

"Not fast enough."

A/N: Jay is finally starting to understand Erin better, and she enjoyed the dinner date he arranged. Soon they will be going on a double date with Raquel and Zelina. Where do you think they might go?

They picked up some goodies in the hardware store to satisfy their kinks. Erin is still making him wait, but not for much longer.
