Amphibia: Adventure in Wartwood
Chapter 1: Anne's Birthday
During that day at Saint James Middle School, a private middle school where all boys and girls are attended and that includes where Anne and her friends are. Students at this school wear school uniforms. There are any kinds of colors that students can wear such as red, yellow, blue, orange, purple, pink, green, and black. Females wear skirts in different colors while males wear khaki pants. An optional hoodie is available.
Right now, this class has ended which give most students to walk to their class or lockers to get their school works ready including notes and books. Just then, a 13 year old girl approach to her locker. She has chocolate brunette long hair, wearing a pale blue t-shirt with a yellow collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, a short yellow skirt, a pair of black boots.
She's been attending school for years since she and her family moves into L.A and welcomes by her new neighbors. And speaking of which when she closes her locker door, it shows a boy that has same ages as her, but he has black hair and light brown skin with his glasses on. He's wearing a pale-blue shirt with Prussian blue collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, cedar brown long pants, white socks, and black sneakers.
"Hey, Tyler."
Tyler Pepper turns her head at smiles warmly at her friend that she always knew. Ivan Monroad Jr. or just Ivan for short has approached to her by the locker.
"Hi, Ivan. What's up?" She asked.
"Nothing much. Have you seen Dyllan? We were gonna meet up in science class." Ivan asked.
"Hmm, I don't know. But I'll see what I can do." replied Tyler.
"Thanks, Tyler. I was going to show him to my project that I've been working on."
"Oh, cool. What kind of project?"
Before Ivan could reply, but then the PA announcement turns on throughout the hallway.
"Attention, students. This is yet another reminder that the pink powder inside the soap dispenser is not candy dust, so please-"
Out of nowhere, the PA speakers were hacked and a familiar voice echoes throughout the hallway.
"What's up SJMS! Instead of that boring stuff, how about an awesome K-pop dance party?"
Then the next thing has happened was that the lights went out and light beams were raging across the halls with the music, "As If It's Your Last" by Blackpink. All students cheered as they dropped their papers and bags in the process and danced the day away. Ivan and Tyler took their glance that they both know who started the party.
"Sasha." They both said with unison.
Then there was another student, Ethan Day who was wearing a pale-blue shirt with jade green collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, long light brown pants, white socks, and jade green sneakers. He also carries his jade green satchel with "SJMS" crest on it. He was all confused when most students are dancing in the hallway until he just shrugged and then joins the party.
Inside of the janitor's closest, there were four teens that stood next to some cages of dogs. Two teenage girls and two teenage boys, all waited for the signal as the music goes on until now. One of them looks a bit concerned about it
"I think it's working." The Latino boy smiles.
"Great touch up on the lights, Dyllan. It's like you got the magic touch." said the Taiwanese girl.
"Eh, it was nothing." He shrugged.
"Hey, do you guys really think we should be doing this?" asked the Thai girl.
"Of course. It's not like anyone's get hurt. Unleash the puppers!" She chimes.
They releases the dogs from the cages. Then we see a 13 year old boy, Hershel Hughes-Thorburn who has orange hair that's been, wearing a pale-blue shirt with black collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, black shorts, and black shoes.
He was dancing as he enjoying listening some tunes until next thing he sees is a stampeding puppies. He was in total shocked and gets rammed by most of the students race through the hallway with the puppies. All four of them were regrouped by one teenage girl who started the shenanigans.
Sasha Waybright is only 13 years old, wearing a pale-blue shirt with a pink collar and an "SJMS" crest covered by a dark blue jean jacket, a short pink skirt, white socks, and a pair of black Mary Jane shoes with small heels. Since the beginning, Sasha gained popularity, became head cheerleader, and got many people to adore her.
Anne Boonchuy is 12 years old, but soon she'll be 13. She's wearing a pale blue t-shirt with a purple collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, a short purple skirt, a pair of yellow sneakers with white lining, and white socks. She's getting used to hangout with her friends, but sometimes that she doesn't want to get into trouble when she helps them by pulling pranks.
Marcy Wu is same ages as Sasha, wearing a green barrette in her hair, grey-blue colored hoodie with a small "SJMS" emblem stitched across the chest as well as a bigger one on her back, a short green skirt, and a pair of brown school shoes. She's enjoying dancing with a puppy she's carrying until she excited threw the puppy in the air. Don't worry, no animals were harmed in the making of the story.
Dyllan Loyalitat wearing his school uniform with brown messy hair. He's wearing a pale-blue shirt with pine green collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, long grey pants with brown belt, white socks, and red sneakers. He thought Sasha was cute and he started to being nice to her, although she barely had any recognition from him
Kenji Reyes or KJ Loud for short is wearing a gray t-shirt with a blue collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, steel blue short, white socks, and red shoes. He's only 12 years old and the youngest of Anne's friends.
Suddenly, the music stops when the lights were turned on again stunning all eight of them. The next thing they saw the last thing they'd expected was Principal Murphy, their school principal who's wears a gray formal suit with a small SJMS logo brooch on the left collar, a light blue shirt underneath, and gray booties. She also wears gold earrings. Principal Murphey was standing there tapping her foot as a dog chews on her pants while Marcy's puppy rests on her head wagging its tail.
"All of you. My office. Now."
All five of them gulped. She looks very displeased, then she noticed this too.
"You too, Hughes."
Hershey was on the floor flatly with a dalmatian puppy chewing on his shoe next to his chewed ball toy for a pug.
"Oh, crud." Hershey groaned.
Later on, they're all sitting outside in the chair at the front office where most students were sent to the principal's office. Just then, the door opens when Sasha exits the office, looking like she went off so easily.
"All yours, Marce." said Sasha.
Marcy got off from her seat and waved at her friends before she went to the principal's office and closes the door behind her.
"How'd it go?" Dyllan asked.
"Was it bad?" Anne asked when concerned.
"Nah. Ms. Murphy just said she wished my leadership skills went toward something positive." replied Sasha.
Just then, when Marcy comes out and just shrugs off with a smile.
"She was impressed with how I hacked the PA system and told me not to do it again. You're up next, Dyllan." said Marcy.
"What about KJ?" Dyllan asked.
"She said he's off the hook. Same goes for the rest of you guys."
"Oh! That's... a good news." KJ felt with relieved.
"I'm telling ya, there's nothing to worry about." said Sasha assuring to her boyfriend.
"It's okay, dude. You got this." said Anne when comforting him.
Dyllan gulped and slowly made his way to the principal's office, then he opens the door and walks into the office until they broke the silence.
"So, any plans for tomorrow?" Marcy asked.
"Well, my parents wanted to throw me a birthday party at my house." Anne answered.
"Ooh, ooh! Can I come?" Marcy looked eagerly as she smiles.
"Of course you can come. I'm sure mom doesn't mind for that."
"Great! I can also invite Ivan, Ethan, Hershel, (gasps) Sasha can come too!"
"Thanks, but I was planning to take you out for fun after school." said Sasha.
"Really?" Anne asked.
"Eh, you'll see." She replied.
"Hey, KJ. Wanna come over to my party after that?" Anne asked kindly to him.
"Sure, as soon as I asked my parents permission first before I go." KJ replied.
Just then, they heard the door open and looks at Dyllan as he steps out from the principal's office.
"Alright Anne, you're next." said Dyllan, but looking worrisome.
"Hey, you okay?" Anne asked.
"If you guys don't mind, I'd like to be alone for a while. I'll see you tomorrow." replied Dyllan.
"Oh, okay."
"Take care of yourself." said Marcy.
They watched as Dyllan walks off to return to his classroom. Now it's Anne turn for the last. She looks at her friends when concerns about their friend.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Anne asked.
"Girl, he's a grown man. What could happen. Now get in there and face the music." Sasha brushed off as she suggested to the Thai girl.
"Heck yeah! See you on the other side!" Anne got up and walk straight into the office after closes the door behind her and sits down on the chair before snapping her finger.
"Sup, dude?" She asked, but Principal Murphy looks very serious when Anne was acting like this.
"Sup" is that I'm worried about you, Boonchuy." said Principal Murphy.
"Oh? Like, me specifically? Or-"
"Yup. Sasha's goanna boss her way through life, Marcy will probably solve world hunger or something, and Dyllan is very talented, but you..." When she pulls out a big folder with a bunch of papers and sticky notes sticking out and pulls out a piece of binder paper with writing on it, along with "INCOMPLETE" and a bunch of red X's written over it in red pen. "Incomplete after incomplete. Unfinished paper after unfinished paper."
Anne looked cringed that she's falling behind meaning that her grades are falling behind while the principal continues.
"You're a smart girl, Anne. But you're just not applying yourself. In you I see someone who's just floating through life, taking the easy path."
"But I like easy path, it's easy!" said Anne.
"It may be easy, but that doesn't make it right. Now be straight with me, those two pushed you into this prank, didn't they?" Principal Murphy asked.
"What? No!" Anne denied at first, but the principal gave her a skeptical look, then Anne slouches down and crosses her arms. "Okay, yeah. Maybe."
"Look, I want you to write an essay for me."
"Say what now?" Anne puzzled.
"About what you want to do with your life, and what you're willing to do to make it happen."
"Wha-? But Sasha and Marcy didn't say anything about an essay."
"That's because they don't have to write one."
"Oh. Ouch."
"I know it hurts, but Dyllan is the only one who's been honest like no one else and I gave him an essay for what do with his life."
"Huh, okay. What about KJ?" Anne asked.
"Oh, don't worry. I've already told Marcy that he's off the hook along with the others."
"Well, lucky him."
Principal Murphy takes out piece of binder paper with the title "WHO AM I?", and then at Anne picking it up and looking at it.
"Anne, you get to choose the type of person you're going to be. Don't forget that."
She nodded and got off from the chair, but Principal Murphy remembers what she's going to say before the Thai girl leaves.
"Oh, hey! Isn't it your birthday tomorrow? Happy early birthday, Anne."
Anne smiles at the principal in response because her birthday is tomorrow, meaning that she's going to be thirteen and then became officially a teen. Then she walks out still looking at the paper and closes the door.
Few hours later after school, all students got out from school when class has ended. Some were gathered up their stuff from their locker while others likes to go home and be ready for the next day.
Anne was walking out from school with her pink backpack on her back, letting out a sighed as she walked to her bike where she left by the bike rack so that could meet up with her friends. Then suddenly, two girls pass by around their ages.
The first girl, Giro that has brunette hair, wearing a pale blue t-shirt with a yellow collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, a short yellow skirt, a pair of pink shoes. She's carrying her yellow backpack.
The second was Mary, an African-American girl with black hair, wearing a pale blue t-shirt with a navy blue collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it under her black jacket, navy blue skirt, long socks, and pair of black boots. She also carrying her blue backpack.
"Oh my gosh, is that Frank Ramirez?" Mary noticed something.
Anne perks up from her bike when she heard that name. She looked at the direction where the girls are staring from across the street, then her eyes were wide like she has never seen him again.
Frank Ramirez, a 13 year old Hispanic boy that has brown short hair, wearing white t-shirt underneath an old m65 field jacket, dark blue pants, brown shoes, and a baseball cap. He was walking down on the sidewalk, carrying with his backpack when minding his own business.
"Oh my gosh, that's really him! I thought he was at juvie? Didn't he attacked at that new shoe brand?" Giro asked.
"Well, he got framed by that jerk face. Poor kid. Frank didn't deserve this." said Mary.
"I heard about that. It's awful for what he did."
"Yeah, too bad we didn't see that jerk for over ten months after he left here. Glad there aren't any bullies around here"
As the girls left with sympathy, Anne drowned them out as her former friend walked away. The same Frank she still remembers when they were once friends, but until the incident happened. Frank was one of the nicest boys she met, almost got sent to juvie if weren't for Marcy and her older brother that cleared his name.
After Frank was dismissed from the court, his friendship didn't last long forever when Sasha doesn't believe that he's innocent. During that time after the incident, the two of them got into an heated argument that Frank told her that she can't boss them around and do what she wants, but Sasha on the other hand refuse to believe until they reach the limit.
So Sasha forced her friends to end their friendship with him, mostly Anne and Marcy when being pushed by Sasha. Then Frank felt betrayed and left them with a heavy heartbroken. It's been ten months since she has last talked to him. On a very occasions, Frank shares a quick glance at Anne that's been standing there until he bitterly looks away.
But just from looking at him, Anne couldn't help but thinking how miserable and lonely he is. She was about to walk over and talk to him, but she was hesitate when she realize that if her friends knows what she's doing, what would they say?
Then suddenly, a 13 year old jock boy shows up next to her that has black hair with buzzcut on both sides, wearing green shirt over a pale blue t-shirt with grey and black bow, pink pants, and black dress shoes. He noticed that Anne was staring at Frank and looked annoyed for no reason.
"I don't know why he bothered coming here, but he's not coming back!"
Anne snapped when she take noticed, then she grabbed his collar, and bang his head against the bike rack. He reached his head when it hurts and walked off rather putting up a fight while she yells at him.
"Buzz off!" Anne yells.
"Yeah, Johnny! Buzz off!"
Then she turns her head when one of her friend, Daniel Flores who approached to her. He's wearing a pale blue t-shirt with green collar and an "SJMS" crest embroidered on it, blue jeans, and cyan shoes. Anne was quite surprised that Daniel approached to her after she picked up a short encounter.
"You okay, Anne?" Daniel asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." replied Anne when looking down to the ground.
"Really? I noticed that you've been staring at Frank a second ago."
"You knew?"
"Of course, I knew. Everybody knows that, and speaking of which. We're you throwing another prank again?"
Anne perks up when surprised. Guess the principal is not the only one who knows about the prank.
"Who? Me? No!" Anne denied, but Daniel gave her a skeptical look. "Okay, maybe I did a little."
"(sigh) Anne, we talked about this." David sighed.
"I know, dude. But we were just having fun."
"If you're having fun, how come you let Sasha do what she tells you to do?"
"Hey, we support each other. That's what friends do."
"Alright, you should probably head back home before dinner." said Daniel
"Wait, now?" Anne asked.
"Yeah, tomorrow's your birthday. Remember?"
She smiles as Daniel reminded her before she walked over to her yellow bike. Once she put her helmet on, and then sped off
"See you tomorrow, Daniel!" Anne smiled.
"Anytime, Anne!" Daniel replied as he watched her sped off back home.
Later that evening, the Boonchuys house is 2 stories high. On the house's overlaid dark color tiled roof, there's a square-shaped rock chimney on the roof's top side and a green frisbee stuck on the right side. The house's walls are painted in blue while the gables are painted in white. The red minivan to parked outside from the garage where the basketball hoop was hanging.
It was close to the sunset when it's time for dinner. Speaking of dinner, we looked inside to a dining room where Anne is at the table after she got home, then sitting with her parents that they were having Thai traditions for dinner.
Her mother is Oum, who almost exactly like Anne, but has light wrinkles at the side of her eyes. She's she's wearing a purple-blue sweater, a pair of light color jeans, a pair of greenish-yellow earrings, and seems to be barefoot.
And her husband, Bee is the father of the house and bears few resemblances to Anne, though mostly the dark brown hair. He wears a yellow polo shirt with red stripes having a blue shield like symbol at the heart area as well as a 3 at the back of his shirt, a pair of blue jeans, and a pair of white socks.
They both have their golden wedding rings on their left fingers. While they're eating Thai meal for dinner, they start to have their own conversations about school when taking turns.
"So, Anne. How was your day at school?" Oum asked.
"Oh, uh... it's going great." replied Anne, obvious.
"I see, but there's something that you should know."
"Like what?" Anne looks up as her parents share their glances before her husband speaks for her.
"Anne, we were told that you were sent to the principal's office after you put up a prank with your friends." said Bee.
"Wait, what? Who told you?" Anne asked, but Oum gives her a skeptical look before the Thai girl looked defeated as she already knows what they're talking about. "Oh, right. Principal Murphey."
Oum pinched her bridge of her nose when shaking her head.
"Anne, how many times we've been through all this? You know you're not supposed to do that while you're at school." said Oum.
"Oh, come on! We were just having fun." Anne protest.
"Like the time you've been partying up on the roof after you and your friends ditched theater?" Bee recalled.
Anne sulked to her seat with embarrassment.
"You should know that we grounded you for whole month." said Oum.
"Look, mom. I get it. Can we just not talk about this?"
"How about we talk about your grade keeps falling. I know how much you hate responsibility, but whenever you'll learn to grow up?" said Bee when he's giving an example.
"Well, I tried. But all the teachers don't like me." said Anne.
"That's because you keep falling behind. We're worried because we loved you. You're better than this." Oum responded with a parental tone.
"I know." Anne sighed, feeling like that she's been scolded. Her parents were doing their best to keep her daughter from falling behind at school. She's not like Andy. She never tells them how jealous she's been.
"I know it's tough, but you need to understand how hard this is. Tomorrow is your birthday and when you're turning thirteen, I want you is to stand up to yourself and be responsible girl that your brother has been." said Oum.
"And if you want to invite your friends to come over, you have to promise me that you are never, ever going to ditch school. Do you know why?" Bee added.
"Because my birthday party starts tomorrow after school?" Anne guessed.
"Yes, and not only that, whenever Sasha told you what to do. What do you do? You say 'No'."
Anne hasn't thought about it in the first place. Clearly her parents doesn't trust Sasha for having bad influence towards her if they caused too much trouble.
"Okay, it all make sense. But Sasha wasn't trying to tells me what to do. We were just support each other like what friends do." said Anne.
"Oh? If she's your friend, did she ever tell you that you were planning to sneak into the R-rated movie?" Bee asked when suspicious.
"Well, it was only just one anti-superhero movie." Anne shrugged.
"Or trying to sneak in to rescue some chicks before the authority arrives." Oum asked when raising her eyebrows.
"But they're just babies! We can't let them starve!" Anne protest.
"Look, Anne. Just because you rebelled, but that doesn't mean that you'd just listen to Sasha rather than listening to us."
"(sigh) Look, can I just excuse for a moment. I need some time alone." Anne got up from the table and left the dining area.
Oum was about to reach out her daughter, but she couldn't. They were just sitting in the table and do nothing, but staring at Anne going upstairs to her room. They started to look worried since Anne's been having her sudden behavior. The silence went broken when Bee spoke up.
"So much for family dinner." He commented.
Later on, she's laying on her bed with her phone that she's been texting to her friends. Just then when her pet cat, Domino came in to her room and climbs on her bed to lend a paw on her when meowing. Anne looked at her cat smiling softly at and rubbing her head. She really love cats since she has found a stray kitten and decided to adopt her. Her parents doesn't mind as long as she has to look after her.
Her thoughts were interrupted when she hears a her text pops up, Anne looked at her text and she knows that Sasha is texting her about the plan for tomorrow. She was going to reply, but she started to think about what to do tomorrow. What would her parents say if she asked? So, instead she just text her back and put her phone away.
"Alright, Anne. Tomorrow's your birthday. You can do this. Whenever she asked, you say no, and then we're gonna have the best birthday party ever."
The next morning in Los Angeles, but a little cloudy due to poor weather condition or air quality. In her room, Anne is sleeping peacefully while hugging her stuffed cartoon mouse until Domino has woken up from her cat bed and jumps up on the bed to let out a meow at her owner.
Anne slowly opens her eyes and smiles warmly at her pet cat to pet her head gently. Then suddenly, the alarm goes off as the Thai girl jolted up and smiles that the day is her birthday. She presses the button to turn it off, changing her clothes, and went downstairs where her parents were making breakfast before she left to school.
"Morning, mom. Morning, dad." Anne greeted them.
"Hey, birthday girl!" Bee smiled as he went to hug his daughter.
"Happy 13th birthday!" Oum smiles.
"Thanks, mom. I see you made breakfast for my birthday." said Anne.
"It's what we do, sweetie. Now let's dig in before it gets cold." Oum suggested as they sat down at the table.
Once they are done, Anne had already packed her lunch, then she put on her shoes, and receive khao niew bing that Oum already gave her.
"Now, before you go, I want to be specific clear that tonight we are throwing you a birthday party and I want you to be home early on time." said Oum when reminded her daughter.
"And remember, if Sasha tells you what to do, you say no. understood?" Bee added
"You got it." replied Anne.
"That's my girl." Oum gave her daughter a quick hug and peck her lip on their forehead. "Now, off you go."
"Love you, mom and dad." said Anne.
"We love you too, sweetie." replied Oum.
"Say hi to your friends for us." Bee added.
As the couple watched their daughter walking out through the door with her pink backpack. Anne walked over to her bike, then put on her helmet, and then paddle off to school that is not far from home. Meanwhile, all of students are getting ready for their big day at school. Just then when there's a black car stopping by until KJ climbs out from the car where his parents are sitting.
His father is wearing his grey suit and red tie like dressing up as business man while his mother is wearing her tan dress and her skirt like business woman and she has white pearl earrings. They're both working for accountants and sometimes go on their business trip while their son was left to be watched over either the Boonchuys or Wu's.
"Bye mom. Bye dad." KJ waved his hand at his parents.
"Bye sweetie. Have fun." said Mrs. Reyes.
"We'll be back in time for your friend's birthday before we went to Columbia." Mr. Reyes added.
"Okay!" replied KJ.
Once the windows closed, his parents droves off while he's waving at his parents. Then suddenly, he heard a small ring from bicycles and he sees Anne race ahead as fast as she can until she stops to park her bike against the rack and then locked the chains to secure.
"Hey, Anne! Happy birthday!" KJ smiles as the Thai girl looked at him.
"Thanks, KJ. So, any plans today after school?" She asked.
"What do you think? I'm going over to your party tonight. I told my parents if I can stay at your house while they're going out of town." said KJ.
"Yeah, your parents can be busy, but don't feel bad. You get to hangout with me more often." said Anne, trying to cheer her friend up as KJ smiles back. Then suddenly, they heard Dyllan's hollering.
"Anne!" Dyllan hollered as the two of them turned their attention.
"Dyllan!" Anne smiles
"Hey, Dyllan!" KJ smiles.
"Happy birthday!" Dyllan open his arms as he gave her a big warm hug.
"Aw, thank you so much. I can't wait for the celebration tonight. You're gonna be there, right?" Anne asked.
"You bet I am! I've cleared my calendar for this special occasion." Dyllan answered as they chuckled, but then they heard a raspberry voice.
"Hey, Boobchuy!"
They turn their heads and looked crossed that this bully, Maggie who's mocking at Anne and Andy. She wears a backwards-facing purple baseball cap, a blue hoodie and a salmon-pink skirt. She also wears white boots with black soles and thigh-length dark brown socks.
Anne looked annoyed that Maggie is calling names and being racism towards Asian culture. Especially for her family's name. Dyllan and KJ gave her a stern look when annoyed as well.
"It's pronounce 'Boonchuy', Maggie." Dyllan corrected her when stern.
"Whatcha eatin'? A puke bun?" Maggie mocked
"It's not a bun, Maggie. It's khao niew bing, a traditional Thai snack made up of rice and coconut milk. My mom made it for me because it's our birthday." Anne explained.
"Oh, happy birthday." said Maggie when she stood silent in about a second, but then she grabbed Anne's Thai snack to steal it. "Gimme that!"
"Hey! Get your own Thai mom!" Anne argued, refusing to let go of her snack.
Dyllan was shocked at first, but then grew mad and went to help Anne by grabbing their arms. KJ just stood there while he was shocked. He hate seeing his friends being picked on by bullies like Maggie.
"Knock it off, Maggie!" Dyllan cried. "Leave her alone!"
"Back off, Losetat!" Maggie just shoved him down to the ground, leaving him a small scratch. "This is why you're too easy. You don't fight back, so you'll never win!"
KJ went to assist Dyllan to help him up, but all of sudden when they heard Sasha's calling.
"Hey, Margot!" They stop fighting and saw Sasha standing in front with her hands on her hips, looking crossed at Maggie. "Leave them alone! Also, nice guitar solo, Vince."
"Yeah!" Vince replied.
They looked surprised that it was Vince who's playing his guitar solo for Sasha's entrance next to a girl, Cheyenne. Maggie, however refuse to back down.
"Oh, yeah? Or else what?" said Maggie as Sasha walks towards her for something that she can't refuse.
"Uh oh." said Dyllan, knowing what'll happen next.
"Or else you can forget coming to my awesome house party next week. It'll be really sad when the whole class is enjoying the pool without you." Sasha smirked, knowing that Maggie would probably missed out if she didn't stop.
Maggie knew that she has a point. If she can forget for coming over for Sasha's party, she'll miss enjoying her day at the pool. Then she finally gives in.
"Aw, jeez, Sash. I was just playin'. Here." said Maggie handing Anne's snack back to her and walk away grumbling.
KJ carefully lift Dyllan up to his feet, and then they're happy to see Sasha for stepping in to get Anne's snack back.
"Thanks dude." said Anne.
"No worries. You just gotta speak their language. But never mind that. Happy birthday, girl!" replied Sasha, smiling.
They started to cheer as Anne and Sasha dance, then she give KJ a high five until the school bell interrupted making them all groaned with disappointment work.
"Buzzkill." said Sasha.
"Come on, guys. Let's head inside before class starts." said KJ before he walks off.
The rest of them looked bored of going to school today. They really wanted to spend their time to celebrate their friend's birthday. Later on, they were splitting up to their different classroom respectfully.
Meanwhile in biology class, Anne and Sasha are in the same room where most students can study about living things like plants and animals. Just then, when their teacher, Mrs. Virk made an announcement about dissecting frogs.
"Alright, class. Today's your lucky day cause it's Frog Dissection day."
She set those trays down with some dead frogs making all of students uncomfortable and disgusted. Especially for Anne when she's all grossed out at a dead frog that has a white hair.
"Ugh! Frogs are the worst." said Anne in disgust.
"Right? Let's get outta here." Sasha suggested that she should help Anne escape.
She really wanted to leave so she can celebrate Anne's birthday because she is the only one who can easily being manipulated and made her do whatever what Sasha would want. Then she got an idea with her devious look, and then pretends to gag to make the teacher think that she's sick.
"(cough) Mrs. Virk…the sight of blood...I-I'm gonna be sick."
"Oh, dear. Anne, why don't you take Sasha to the sick room before she desecrates these beautiful frog bodies with her vomit." said Mrs. Virk.
"Thank you." said Anne.
She grabbed her backpack and escort Sasha out from their classroom, but running through the hallways giggling. Sasha's plan is really working. When they reached to the nurse office, Anne stopped. But Sasha ran passed by the door instead. She looked at her all confused.
"Yo, Sash. Sick room's over here."
"(sigh) Forget the sick room. Forget school. Let's get out of here and celebrate your birthday in style."
"Oof, skip school? I don't know, Sash." said Anne uncomfortable.
"Anne, this is your 13th birthday. You only get one of these. So let's make it the best birthday in the history of birthdays." Sasha insisted.
"But what about Andy? Today is his birthday too."
"Relax, he's gonna be fine. I'm sure he'll catch up while we're waiting."
Anne doesn't like ditching school. She knew she could get herself and Sasha into trouble and she doesn't want to get into trouble since today is her birthday along with Andy. Anne recalled from the other night when her parents told her to tell Sasha to say no, but she doesn't want to disappoint her either. Then instead, Anne finally gave in listening to Sasha.
Well... all right. I gotta be home by 6:00, though. My parents are throwing a big party and they really want us to be there."
"Right, right, you got it." Sasha brushed it off. "Now let's get this thing started!"
From the outside of school, they left the building when Anne is riding her bike while Sasha standing in the back of her bike heading straight for something fun. Meanwhile in downtown L.A., Anne and Sasha stopped by at the arcade as the girls played together on dancing pad game until they reach the high score.
"Whoo! Top score!" said Sasha.
Once they're done, Sasha banged on the game console, causing some coins to fall out and start to collect some. Anne felt uncomfortable that they've ditched school for the third time. Later on after the arcade, they went outside in the alley when Sasha sprayed her graffiti art on the brick wall with her name on it while Anne was uncomfortable when it's unnecessary for spray painted.
Then suddenly, she was startled when the police drove passed by. They're lucky that they didn't get caught. After that, they are strolling in their grocery kart throughout downtown and weren't paying attention when there's an elderly woman walking with her pet dog.
"Out of the way, Granny!" Sasha hollers.
Then they jumped over to an elder woman with her dog causing them to move out of the way. The girls were laughing as they keep strolling throughout downtown.
Back at middle school when it's already ended, Dyllan and KJ were gathering their stuff from the locker. Then Ivan and Ethan approach just in time after he closes his locker.
"Hey, guys." KJ greeted.
"Hey, KJ." Ivan greeted. "You two ready to go?"
"I wish I would, but I send Anne a text and she wasn't responding." replied Dyllan.
"Me neither." KJ shrugged.
"Maybe she went off with Sasha?" Ethan guessed.
"I hope they didn't get into trouble." Dyllan hoped as he little did know that both Anne and Sasha might've ditched school again. "Anyway, I'm gonna head to the library with Marcy and then later we'll meet up at Anne's house."
"Sounds good to me. So, who else is gonna be there besides our friends?" Ivan asked.
"She can ask Eddie and Bailey to come over to her house if that's alright with Marcy." Ethan answered.
"Aw, Ethan had a little crush on Marcy." Ivan teased.
"Ivan! We-we're just friends. That's all I have to ask."
"Then it's settled. I'll see you at the house." Dyllan waved as he walks off.
"See you later." KJ waved.
"Tell Marcy I said hi." said Ethan as he waved as well.
Later on, Marcy has already gathered her stuff from the locker and then closes the door until Dyllan approached to her.
"Hey, Marcy!" Dyllan greeted as the Taiwanese girl turn her head around and then smiles.
"Dyllan!" Marcy chimes as she raced towards Dyllan and gave him a quick hug. "Thanks for coming with me. I don't really mind going to the library alone."
"It was nothing. Sometimes, I felt like giving you a company." replied Dyllan as the two of them walks outside through the door.
"How's your day been so far, dungeon buddy?" Marcy asked.
"Balancing between good and bad. Despite being knocked down by Maggie and losing my breakfast in science class, I'm keeping my composure and staying out of trouble." Dyllan answered.
"Oh, that's good. Any idea where Anne is? I want to wish her a happy birthday." said Marcy.
"Last time I saw her, she went to take Sasha to the sick room. But I think they're skipping school again and celebrating the day in style. Guess that means we'll meet up with them after school." replied Dyllan.
"Heh, I hope they didn't get into trouble like the last time."
"You're telling me."
Dyllan and Marcy has arrived at the library and then entered as they passed by some other students that were sitting at the tables while reading books or doing their homework. They sat at the empty spots and start doing their homework.
Although, Marcy has already picked out some books to read while Dyllan is doing his own homework. He looked over and see her reading PSAT prep book. He knew her well since they were kids and likes to hangout more often. He also loves to share his interests with Marcy like roleplaying.
"Don't we have to worry about those in high school?" Dyllan asked.
"You can worry about them later. I'm the kind of gal that should be prepared for anything and everything." said Marcy.
"Even preparing for our next Creatures and Caverns session?" He asked, making her smile gleefully. "I wonder what we are going to encounter this weekend, head ranger?"
"It's a surprise, great wizard." She replied.
But then, her phone goes off with a vibration when Marcy set the book from reading. She looks at the text from one of her head that says "Stop reading ya nerd" "IT'S ANNE'S BDAY!" "MEET US DOWNTOWN". Marcy quickly realized they might have forgotten something.
"Anne's birthday! I almost forgot!" Marcy exclaimed.
"Come on. Anne's birthday celebration won't last forever." Dyllan put away his homework in his backpack and walks off.
"Hang on, Dyllan. I'll meet you outside." said Marcy, standing up from the table to pack up her things, but then suddenly when a librarian past by rolling down the cart that carried books, but one book falls off when Marcy took noticed. "Uh, excuse me ma'am, you dropped your... book?"
Marcy looked at the book that says "Dr. P's Extraordinary Guide To Magic & Mystery" and open the book to flipping through the pages. She stopped at the pages of a gargoyle and a triangular being with one eye. Marcy was impressed by seeing the pages. Then she flipped the pages again until she stopped flipping and see the next page where it shows the music box before she looks stunning.
"Woah! Calamity Box? Travel to other worlds?" Marcy reads carefully about the music box. She knows a lot more about magic, but this is different. The way she looks at it, she started to wonder how the box works. But instead, she just shrugged. "Hah! Goofy stuff. Cool artwork, though."
She use her phone to take a picture from the page, but suddenly she got a text from her dad saying "Come home. We need to talk." then she looked puzzled at first.
"Huh, wonder what this is all about. Oh, guess I'll head home before meeting up with the girls." Marcy set the book down at the table and she walks off towards the exit, leaving the book where it once left alone.
When Marcy exited through the doors, Dyllan was waiting for her while reading a text message from his phone until he looks up at her with her hood up.
"You go on ahead, Dyllan. My dad has something he needs to tell me. I'll meet you and the others shortly afterward." said Marcy.
"Okay, Marcy. I'll see you later." Dyllan waved at her as they begin to split up to their homes. Marcy wondered why her parents wanted her home as soon as she gets there.
Meanwhile, there was a house where she and her family lives that features a typical American design for the exterior. There were two Chinese dragon statue that are placed in front of the door, while the roof has green tiles and a red chimney. There is a small fountain outside next to the entrance of the house placed next to the left guardian lion. Their car is parked next to the green lamp post on the left.
Once Marcy made it home with her green bicycle, she put it away at the backyard and walk towards the door until she step inside and took off her backpack, leaving them both by the door. Nervously, she made her way to the living room where she heard her parents discussing with her younger siblings that were both sitting on the couch.
Marcy's younger brother, Sean who is 11 year old boy that has black bushy hair, wearing his violet t-shirt, black shorts, white socks, and blue tennis shoes. Then her youngest sister, Mavis who is 8 years old that has long raven hair, wearing her purple t-shirt with pink heart on it, light blue shorts, white socks and pink sneakers on it.
Her father is wearing his glasses, light gray polo shirt, dark olive tie, black greyish pants, and his shoes. Her mother is wearing her brown earrings, olive sweater with green button with paw print, light blue jeans, and green sneakers.
"Mom? Dad? I'm home." said Marcy when enter the living room.
Her parents turned to look at her and smiled, but little strained and nervous looking. Marcy went to hugged her parents and sat down next to her siblings that were anxious to know what's going on.
"Hi, guys." Marcy greeted her siblings.
"Hi, Marcy." Mavis waved.
"Hey, sis." Sean added.
"Hey, sweetie. How's school?" Mr. Wu asked.
"It's going great! I totally forgot to realize that today is Andy and Anne's birthday and their party starts tonight at their house." replied Marcy.
"That's very nice." said Mrs. Wu softly.
Marcy moves her head and curious if Eddie is here either before or after she got here.
"Hey, where's Eddie?" Marcy asked.
"He'll be home very shortly, but you probably want to know why we called you home so early." said Mrs. Wu.
"Uh-huh." Marcy nodded, wondering why her parents were so uptight.
"Okay, after we went to your friend's party, there's gonna be difficult time in this summer." said Mr. Wu.
"What do you mean?" Mavis asked.
"Kids... your father got the new job." Mrs. Wu finish that sentence.
It went all silence without getting response. Marcy drops her smile for a moment.
"What job?"
They knew that it didn't well when her mother rephrase that sentence.
"Well, its just that your father got a new job upstate, and in order for him to work there...we need to move."
"WHAT?!" Marcy exclaimed, standing up from the couch.
Sean and Mavis were started to frown. She couldn't believe what is going to happen now. Marcy's own parents are making her and her siblings moving away? Leaving everything behind? Her friends, her life, even the most important person who she could trust.
They noticed her panicked look because they knew she has autism. It wasn't really her fault when she's like this. Marcy was so sensitive from the beginning. Then her mother began speaking once more.
"Marcy, I know it hurts, but you need to understand this. This job is offering more money than anything."
"B-but what about our friends? I can't leave them here!" Marcy's breath was shaking when her tears began to form.
"Look, I know your friends are important to you, but you'll made some new friends while we're booking you to your new school."
Marcy began to walk backwards slowly, leaving her younger siblings to grow worries while her parents were trying to calm her down. She didn't care about the money or making new friends in different state. All she cared about is her friends. The ones who deeply cared the most since then.
"N-no. Y-you don't understand. If I made new friends, then I-I'll be alone... I'm not going..." Then her tears began to spill onto her cheeks.
"Marcy, you have to understand..." said Mr. Wu trying to calm his daughter down, but she couldn't.
"NO!"
She shoved her way through her parents, but accidentally stumbled her father when taking step back until he hit against the wall where their picture was hanging and then falls to ground, shattering the glass frame. Marcy burst out by opening the door and runs out from her home.
"YOU GUYS ARE RUINING MY LIFE!" Marcy yells at her parents.
She couldn't even hear her parents calling out her to come back.
"Marcy, wait!" Her mother calls out with desperate.
"Get back here, young lady!" Her father calls out, but it was too late.
Sean and Mavis were scared a bit when their older sister just lashed it out at their parents. Then Mavis noticed something that there's a broken picture frame on floor. She walked over to picked it up and looking at their picture of herself with her family, but with broken glass and photo frame.
Sean walked over next to his sister and looked shocked and it hurts to see his older sister upset. Their parents couldn't believe that their own daughter just yells out that they think they're ruined her life. What will Eddie say if they tell him about this.
They took their glance where Mavis is holding, trying her best not to cry while Sean gives them a disgust look, shaking his head when his feelings were hurt. Then the parents looked at each other's eyes when worries and felt a bit betrayed.
"Honey... we blew it." said Mr. Wu.
Elsewhere in a poorer income sheets in the city, a distressed Marcy keeps running throughout the town without going back. She doesn't care if she's lost or paying attention where she is going. Marcy was so afraid that if she did moved out with her parents, her friendship with the people she cared will be torn apart. How could do they?
After running for a few minutes, Marcy finally came to a stop just outside a store. She leaned her arm and head against the window, catching her breath. Marcy opened her eyes and wiped away the tears. How is she going to explain to her friends at a time like this?
While doing so, something inside the small store caught her eye. Marcy's eyes widened as she recognized the music box that's ornamented with gold and eight different gems of each colors with a frog holding out, sat atop a wardrobe.
"Huh? That's weird, is that…"
She pulled out her phone and looked through her photo that she took a picture and recognizes the box from the book she was reading earlier at the library. She was surprised to see that it was the same box.
Her text pop up from Sasha saying "WHERE ARE YOU?!". Marcy totally forgot about the plan, but she doesn't know when to text her back. But she immediately looked back at the box and then looked back at her phone with the photo of the page saying "Travel to other world".
Then she got an idea. An awful idea. This box allows someone to travel to different dimensions, if she used this box, then Marcy and her friends would never have to be separated and be together forever. But what will it cause if she has to leave everything behind where she was born and being raised? What other option does she has now?
Could the box be a fake if it's a hoax? But there's no time to debate. She was not going to lose all of her friends if she could help it. Then she smug her grin and started to text back at Sasha.
"I think I just found the perfect birthday present for Anne." She send a texts to Sasha, declaring that she has found the perfect gift for Anne on her birthday and quickly took a picture through the window. She's hoping that her plan might work.
Meanwhile in the café, Anne and Sasha having their beverages for a drink relaxing after so many fun and mischievous. Despite for breaking the rules, Anne nearly forgotten how important her party was.
"So that's what a unicorn tastes like. Corn syrup. Huh?" said Anne when laying.
Suddenly, her phone starts to vibrating. She looks at her phone that are two messages from her mom both says 'Where are you?' 'Party starts in 15 minutes!'. Anne shrunk her pupil eyes with horrified reaction.
"Oh, shoot! It's almost 6:00! I gotta go!" Anne exclaimed.
"Family party, right? Lame." Sasha is unamused. "Let me guess, a clown? With balloon animals?"
"I know it's not the coolest, but this is important to them." Anne reminded her.
"Mmm-hmm." Sasha only could do was slurping her drink. Suddenly, they heard a ding from her phone. Sasha looked at her phone and quickly awed at her text.
"Oh, my gosh. Marcy says she found the perfect gift for you downtown." Sasha laughs when showing the picture of the music box to them. "A frog music box for the frog lover. I wonder if those gems are real. Come on. Let's keep this party train rollin'. Choo-choo!"
"Sorry, dude, you don't understand. I really gotta go." Anne looked desperate.
"Oh, I understand, Anne. You're a good little girl who's gotta go home to her mommy and daddy. Come on. Hang out with your friends that love you." said Sasha, didn't looked amused with her.
"Sasha, I'd really like to, but…"
"Anne, this isn't cute anymore. We are meeting up with Marcy, right now! End. Of. Discussion."
Anne was in deep shocked. She really wanted to say no after her parents told her to, but she didn't want to disappoint Sasha either. What choice does she has to choose either be at her birthday party or meet up with Marcy? So instead, she listens to Sasha.
"I guess it's okay if I'm a little late." Anne chuckled nervously.
"Boom! I knew you'd change your mind." said Sasha.
Then the three of them exited out from the café as they head over where Marcy is at for the rest of their day.
Meanwhile, KJ and Ivan were strolling around town since they have left school. Then suddenly, KJ heard a ringtone from his phone. He took it out and see a text that it actually came from Sasha. Ivan overlooked at the phone to see what's up.
"Any luck?" Ivan asked.
"Yeah, and it's from Sasha." KJ answered.
"Where is she now?"
"Hold on. She said that they're heading over to the thrift store where Marcy is waiting."
"Really? All this for birthday gift?" Ivan asked when raising his eyebrow.
"I suppose so." KJ shrugged.
"Alright, let's go."
There's no time to waste as the two of them rushed ahead until they have finally arrived at thrift store where Sasha and Marcy are at. As they approach to them, the girls turn their heads when smiling.
"Hey, guys." Marcy greeted.
"Perfect timing." said Sasha.
"Took us long enough to find you." said Ivan while fixing his glasses.
"Wait, where's Dyllan?" KJ asked, then suddenly as they all heard bike ringing when Dyllan arrived.
"Hey, guys! Sorry I'm late. I got sidetracked." Dyllan panted as he looked around to find someone. "Where's Anne?"
"She's in the thrift store getting her birthday present." Sasha answered as she and the others looked through the window where Anne was staring at the music box on top of the wardrobe.
"That box looks expensive." Dyllan commented.
"How did we get the money of it?" Ivan asked.
"We didn't. Anne's going to get her present for free." Sasha smirked.
"Wait, what?!" Dyllan was shocked.
"Y-you're not saying she can steal it, right?" KJ looked a bit freaked out.
"It's the only way." Marcy replied, leaving the boys shocked. "Sorry, guys. We don't have enough money."
"Marcy, how could you agree to something like this?! It's bad enough that we break school rules, but stealing?! That's against the law!" Dyllan argues.
"Oh, my gosh. We're dead." KJ muttered, looking paled.
"But this is Anne's birthday. She deserves to be happy." Sasha brushed off.
"S-Sasha, s-she's making a mistake. I...I really think we should-"
"Dyllan, this isn't funny anymore. Like it or not, this is happening. Anne is going to get her birthday gift, and you are going to keep your mouth shut! End! Of! Discussion!"
Dyllan looked really scared and so were Ivan and KJ. They have never seen her such like this since the incidents. Dyllan kept his mouth shut and did as he was told. This made Sasha smirked.
"There, that wasn't so bad." said Sasha, caressing her hand on her boyfriend's cheek.
They turned and looked through the window. From the inside, where we see some antique stuff like old dishes and good clothes like the old man is looking at the skull t-shirt.
"Ah, this is a good shirt."
Then we slide over where Frank is working by sweeping the floor. He's been working out to help out his grandmother since his late grandfather passed away. He's been living with her ever since he moved out from his parents like no one would ever wanted him and he felt like that he's an outcast. Right now, his grandmother's old friend came to visit.
When he was about to meet an old friend, but then something got him attention. Anne looked around as she stood in front of the shelf. He ducked behind the clothes rack and peaked around to see what Anne has been up to. Something was definitely off at her. He looked at what she was looking at and it was the music box, which was one of the most expensive items.
"Alright, Anne. You can do this." Anne said to herself.
She looked back where Frank's grandmother who is sleeping behind the counter. She reached up to take the music box from shelf, then briefly glanced at the window to see her friends. Sasha is giving her two thumbs up to cheer her on while Marcy smirks, but Dyllan, Ivan, and KJ were frowning and felt uncomfortable with this.
She really didn't want to do this, steal from not only an old woman, but the grandmother of one of her oldest friends. But she didn't have a choice. She wasn't going to be a good friend if she didn't do this. Then she open her backpack and slip the box in, but until...
"Anne?"
Anne gasped when turned her head and see the owner of the voice, but what she saw was the last person she'd ever expected to see Frank. Her friends were all shocked out from the window. Frank stared at her in a mixture of shock, sadness, and even anger.
"What are you doing?" Frank asked, slowly.
Her head started to sweat in bullets. Will she ditch the box or fled with the box? And so, Anne suddenly bolted out to the door before Frank react. He watched from the window as she ran past her friends that they quickly followed. Frank couldn't believe what he has witness, then he walked over to the counter to wake his grandmother up.
"Grandma, wake up." said Frank trying to shake her gently until the old woman opened her eyes and yawns.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"Didn't you realize that we've been robbed?"
"Wha-" Once she fixes her glasses, she was staring at the shelf, but the box wasn't there. She was all puzzled at first. "Didn't anyone buy this?"
Frank shocked that she couldn't remember, but he couldn't blame her. He loved his grandmother more than any person in the word. However, he wasn't in the mood to explain the situations.
"I don't have time for this." Frank said to himself as he picked up a combat knife that was on sale, but his grandmother was confused for all of sudden.
"Frank, where are you going?" She asked.
"There's something I have to do. You stay here in case the police shows up." Frank replied before he rushed out to after them, leaving his grandmother confused. She started to wonder what Frank has got himself into now.
Later that evening at the playground when it's a little dark, but the lamp posts were still on. Anne was sitting on the bench, holding the music box while her backpack was sitting on the ground while her friends were all standing around her
"This box sure is pretty." said Anne when examined the box.
"I know, right? Pretty cool." said Sasha. Just then, they heard some bush rustling until it turns out that it was Daniel, Hershel, and Ethan all coming out from the bush as they approached to their friends. Sasha could only smirked.
"What took you so long?" She teased.
"Knowing where you guys are if you haven't texted us. Where have you guys been?" Hershel looked crossed.
"Yeah, the whole family grew worried about you." Daniel added.
"And where'd you get that box?" Ethan asked, pointing his finger at the box.
"Anne got it for free on her birthday." Sasha replied.
"Hey, guys? I hate to tell you, but shouldn't we head back home to celebrate Anne's birthday party?" KJ asked when concerned.
"Really? That's a good idea." said Sasha sarcastically. "But if we did tell our parents, you think that they're gonna rat us out to the police?"
"Uh, well-"
"Then nobody knows where we stole it and we are gonna keep it that way."
Anne felt bad at herself when she was dared to steal the music box from the thrift store without paying it. What would her parents do if they found out what she's been doing? Or the whole towns finds out for what she did?
"Sasha, I don't think it's a good idea to steal the music box. What if the old lady calls the police if she finds out about this?" Anne looks really concerned about this.
"Relax, drama queen. Nobody would noticed." Sasha brushed off.
"What if the old lady noticed that the box was gone?" Ivan asked.
"I don't know! Look, just open the box and let's see what was inside."
Anne rolled her eyes. As soon as she opens the box, the better they can go home without arguing, but all of sudden…
"STOP!"
They were all startled and looked up front where Frank has confront them. All he could remember was arguing with Sasha after the incident. Sasha gives him a glare while Anne and Marcy were nervous. The boys knew that this is not going to end well. Hershel looked and went all confused.
"You got some nerve showing up here, Ramirez." said Sasha, sternly
"Pfft, it's funny that you asked. I'm starting to wonder what you and Anne have been doing when trying to steal my grandmother's one of old friends." replied Frank.
"Wait, your grandmother's box?" KJ asked.
"Yes. I know that one of you stole the box while she was sleeping. I know it was you, Anne." Frank carefully reach his hand behind to get his combat knife out. "I'm going to say this once. Give me the box... and you can forget about what you stole."
Anne knew that she was in trouble. Marcy is rubbing her arm that she regret for forcing Anne to steal. Anne was lost for a word.
"I-I..." Ann stammered.
"What happened to you, Anne? How could you steal from my family store?" Frank felt betrayed.
"I didn't have a choice. This is what friends do for each other. Sasha said so." Anne argues.
"Is that right?" Frank asked, narrowing his glare at Sasha.
"So, what? You're not the only one who stole something that's valuable." Sasha scoffs
"Hey! I didn't steal those damn shoes! What do you want me to do! Huh?!" Frank snapped
"Come on, Frank. Can't you just let it go? Friends forgive each other now, right?" Anne asked with a nervous smile.
Frank grew sad and depressed looked at them when she said that. Then he looked at Marcy, the only girl who could ever trusted that cleared his name until she looks away with remorse. Then he looked at the boys that shook their heads saying that they want nothing to do with this. However, that was the only moment, before he glared coldly at Anne.
"We're not friends! We haven't been friends for long time!" Frank growls.
"Now, Frank. Take it easy." Daniel tries to calm him down, but to no avail.
"After everything we've been through?! I can't believe how selfish you all are!"
Anne gasps when shocked. What he said was true. Even her friends were a bit shocked and felt ashamed from the beginning, except for Sasha that gives him a cold glare. That's when Anne switch her emotions from ashamed into anger.
"Well, listen to this! You want me to open the box? Fine! I'll open it, right now!" said Anne.
"Oh yeah? Do it! See what's inside!" Frank replied, sarcastically.
"I wouldn't do that!" Hershel protested, but it was too late.
As the Thai girl did by opening the lid of the box, but instead it took matter worse as the neon lights began to glow with a little sparks and the wind blew towards all ten of them until it gets a little brighter and brighter until they've all vanished into thin air. Everything was empty except for some bicycles and some backpacks that was left alone in the park.
And this is where the story begins here! I was originally going to add the flashback how Anne and her friends met, but I decided to do the old ways instead. And also, I have to leave Dyllan's P.O.V. later when it's time. For now, the whole first chapter like season one will be ongoing while two more seasons will take a year or two to things done. Hope you enjoyed reading and I'll be looking forward to share with you all real soon! Ciao!
