"Rabastan, wake up please," he heard from beside him in a whining voice.

Rabastan blinked. "Rodolphus, what's the matter?" he mumbled.

"Rodolphus, wake up please," the whining came again.

Rabastan opened his eyes. "What's the matter?"

"Rabastan, I don't feel well," he whimpered.

Rabastan sat up. "Are you hurt?"

Rodolphus shook his head. "No."

"Rabastan, where are you in pain?"

Rodolphus replied, "Back and stomach," whimpering again.

"Rodolphus, I'm going to get Narcissa to come look. She has a healer's degree."

Rodolphus whimpered, "Okay."

Rabastan got up, going to Lucius's room and knocking. "What?" he mumbled, glaring.

"Can you get your wife? Rodolphus is in pain and I don't know how to help. Harry is not here, so he is extremely skittish right now."

Lucius nodded. "Okay." He went back in, waking his wife. "Narcissa, can you wake up, darling? Rodolphus is in pain and scared."

Narcissa woke up, frowning. "I'll be right there." Getting her cover on, she opened the door. "Come on, Rabastan."

Rodolphus was lying there in the fetal position, whimpering in pain and holding his stomach tight.

Rabastan and Narcissa walked in, a little worried. She went to him. "Rodolphus, what are you feeling right now?" She touched his arm.

Rodolphus mumbled, "Pain. It won't stop."

Rabastan held his hand.

Narcissa frowned before scanning him, letting out a gasp. "Why didn't you say you were pregnant?"

Rodolphus looked startled. "What? I'm not… I… um, no. I can't be. I would have known, right? I'm not even showing. Oh God…"

Narcissa, honey, what you are feeling is contractions, and by the look of it, they have been there for a while. You're 4 centimeters dilated."

Rodolphus blinked before groaning, holding his stomach. "This can't be. I don't understand."

"Narcissa, I'm going to go get Lucius and Tom. I'll be right back. There should be time between them."

Narcissa went to wake her husband, telling him what was wrong. To say he was shocked was an understatement. They went to wake Tom, who was shocked as well. All three walked back to Rodolphus and Rabastan's room to see Rodolphus asleep, holding onto Rabastan.

Rabastan looked up, tired. "So, gonna try and rest after each contraction. He didn't even know or show any symptoms or anything."

Narcissa said, "Some people just don't."

About an hour later, Rodolphus woke to a sharp stabbing pain wrapping around his middle, gasping then groaning, alerting the people around him. Tom grabbed his hand. "Breathe through it. Come on, follow my breaths. Come on." Rodolphus started mimicking him, feeling the pain dissipate before falling back asleep.

Lucius asked, "Where is Harry? He needs to be here for this."

Tom replied, "He hasn't reported back, so I don't know."

Narcissa frowned. "Don't talk about Harry right now. We have to help Rodolphus because when this ramps up, he is gonna need all the support. Right now, get comfy and rest while he does. We will take turns."

Rodolphus rolled over, reaching for the one beside him, grabbing Lucius's hand and tugging it to him. "Lucius, you okay?"

Rodolphus nodded, then pointed to the bed. Lucius nodded, getting beside him, holding him until a contraction got him an hour later when he woke up in the morning.

Tom took Lucius's place, helping him breathe through it. Rodolphus huffed, "This hurts," he complained.

Narcissa said, "I know, honey. You're so strong though."

Lucius said, "Narcissa, we need to talk." Narcissa followed him out. "He is 16 and scared. With Harry gone and not in contact with Tom, I fear he is gonna panic really bad."

Narcissa replied, "I know. I fear that as well." They walked back in to see a contraction taking its hold on Rodolphus.

Lucius went and took his hand, sitting by him to keep him calm.

Rodolphus cried, "Where is Harry?"

Tom looked sad. "Honey, don't think about him right now, okay? Keep breathing."

Lucius said, "You will be okay."

Rabastan muttered, "I'm gonna go. I don't wanna see this."

Tom nodded in understanding.

Lucius kept his hold on Rodolphus.

Narcissa said, "Honey, I got to do an exam to see how you are progressing, okay? It's gonna be uncomfortable but I got to touch you right here."

Rodolphus took a sharp breath. "Okay," he mumbled, holding Tom's hand tight, breathing hard. Anxiety was taking over; he started hyperventilating, freaking out. "Lucius, Rodolphus, look at me. Breathe. You are safe and loved. Breathe, honey. I'm right here."

Rodolphus nodded, taking calming breaths.

A while later, at 6 centimeters dilation, labor was definitely harder. Rodolphus was having contractions every 20 minutes, struggling to breathe through them. After a very painful one, he screamed, reaching out blindly to the person beside him, which was Tom, grabbing his hand and squeezing it tight.

Narcissa said, "I gotta check again, honey. I'm sorry." During her exam, a contraction hit, making him scream, his body trying to remove her fingers. He cried.

Lucius said, "Breathe. Keep breathing."

Narcissa finished. "You're at 8 centimeters. Doing so well. Your water should be breaking soon."

Rodolphus rolled to his side, groaning before mumbling, "I'm wet," with a frown before a contraction took him, twisting back and forth, trying to escape the pain, rolling off the bed onto the floor, throwing up bile.

Narcissa rushed to him. "It's okay. Breathe. Come on, honey, back to bed." Helping him stand while he cried from pain.

Tom took him in his arms. "You are doing so well, Rodolphus. So proud."

Rodolphus grunted before widening his eyes. "So much pressure," he said, tears in his eyes

Narcissa said, "Time to push. Gonna stand you up. That will feel better, love."

Rodolphus huffed before being hit with another contraction, losing his footing. Lucius held him, helping him squat. Rodolphus pushed and screamed, "It hurts so bad," he cried.

Narcissa said, "So good, keep going. I know it hurts, but you are strong."

Rodolphus felt a contraction, pushing again with a grunt, holding Tom's hand, smashing it while he was in extreme pain. He huffed before leaning back on Lucius, eyes drifting closed.

Lucius said, "No, open your eyes, Rodolphus. Stay awake. You gotta push, honey." Rodolphus felt his contraction, pushing with all his effort, crying, "Hurts. No more, please."

Narcissa said, "I see a head. Big push, Rodolphus, you're right there."

Tom said, "Holds his hand? Push hard."

Rodolphus screamed, "Burns. Oh, stop, please stop."

Tom said, "Almost done. Keep going, a little more."

Rodolphus pushed for the final time. A baby's cries alerted everyone in the room.

Rodolphus slumped back, falling asleep, being cleaned and laid back in a clean bed.

Lucius said, "So proud." Tom added, "So proud."

Rodolphus smiled. "Thank you," before falling asleep.

Narcissa said, "The baby is healthy and happy," laying him beside Rodolphus, hoping they would bond.

Rodolphus took the baby, holding him and sleeping.
