Jackson asks April out to dinner.

Jackson was on his way to April's office, he gave a knock on the door and went in, he saw April sitting with Gordon Daniels.

"Sorry, you are buys, I'll come back later," Jackson said.

"No, we just finished discussing things," April said.

"I'm gonna go," Gordon said as he got up. See you next week?

"The usual place," April said.

"I'll see you there," Gordon said. He walked to the door. "Dr. Avery."

"Dr. Daniels," Jackson said.

"Bye Gordon, say hi to Bruno for me," April said.

"I will," Gordon said.

Gordon left April's office. Jackson sat down at April's desk.

"Who Bruno? Did you go to med school with him too?" Jackson asked.

"Yes, the three of us met there," April said. "And Bruno is Gordon's husband."

"Husband?" Jackson asked.

"Yes," April said.

"But I thought Gordon was your..."

"No."

"Okay."

"You really thought that he and I?"

"Maybe, Jackson said, he quickly wanted to change the subject. I have the reports for this if you'd like to check them, I send them to you

"Sure, no problem," April said. "Is there anything else?"

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you something," Jackson said.

"Go ahead," April said.

"Would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Jackson asked.

"And business dinner?" April said.

"No, it has nothing to do with business," Jackson told her.

A small yet unsure smile appeared on April's face. "Are you asking me out on a date? A real date?"

"Yes, April do you want to go on a date with me?" Jackson asked.

"Yes, I would love to," April said.

"Well then I will make reservations," Jackson said. "How about Italian."

"I love Italians," April said. "I mean their food."

"I know what you mean," Jackson said.

"You arrange the restaurant, I'll arrange the babysitting for Harriet," April said.

Both Jackson and April had big smiles on their faces. Jackson left April's office again. April grabbed her phone and sent Arizona a message right away, It didn't take long for Arizona to send something back and her message said she was happy for April.

The next day. April was in her room, getting ready for her date with Jackson, she had face timed Arizona for help. she grabbed two dresses from her closet and walked over to her phone with them.

"Which one should I wear the blue dress or the red dress?" April asked.

"The blue one," Arizona told her.

"What's wrong with the red dress?" April asked.

"Nothing, it's nice too," Arizona said.

"Then why are you telling me to wear the blue one?"

"April, calm down," please.

April sighed, she put the dresses down, took her phone and sat on the bed. "Sorry."

"I understand you're nervous," Arizona said.

"I just want it to be great," April said.

"And obviously you want more," Arizona said.

"What do you mean?" April asked.

"Well, you want you and Jackson to end up in bed after the date," Arizona said in teasing tone.

"Arizona!"

"What, I'm not saying anything weird?"

"I do want more and I don't mean sex right away, I mean a fresh start for us," April explained to her best friend.

"I get that and I also want you to have another chance at love with Jackson," Arizona said.

"So I'm gonna ask you again, the blue dress or the red dress?" April asked.

"The blue dress," Arizona said.

"Are you sure?" April asked.

"Yes," Arizona said.

"All right," April said, she walked to her closet and put back the red dress.

"Have fun on your date," Arizona said.

"Thank you," April said.

"We'll talk about it tomorrow," Arizona said.

"We certainly will," April said.

"I'll speak you tomorrow and say hi to everyone there," Arizona said.

"I will, and give my love to everyone there," April said.

"I will," Arizona said. "Bye."

"Bye," April said, she hung up and put her phone down.

Two hours later and April was all set for her date with Jackson, with a little excitement she sat on her couch and waited for him to pick her up. The doorbell rang and April walked up to the door and opened it, there stood Jackson dressed in a suit with a blue tie which almost matched April's dress.

"Whoa, you look great," Jackson said.

"I want to say that too, about you I mean," April said. "You look great too."

"Thank you," Jackosn said.

"What about the babysitter?" April asked.

"She was on time and she and Harriet clicked right away," Jackson told April.

"So Harriet is in good hands?" April asked.

"Yes, she is in good hands," Jackson said.

"That's good to hear," April said.

"Then let's go?"

"Yeah."

April grabbed her things and left her house.

Twenty minutes later Jackson and April arrived at the restaurant , they sat down at the table and got a menu card from the waiter.

"Hello my name is Lewis and I will be your waiter this evening, if you need anything just say so," he said

"Thank you Lewis, we are going to look through the menu first," Jackson said.

"Sure thing," Lewis said and he walked away.

"Everything here looks so delicious," April said.

"Yes, I agree with you on that," Jackson said.

Lewis walked over to Jackson and April's table. "Can I help you with anything?"

"I think I'd like to have the chicken pasta and a red wine," Jackson said.

"Very good choice sir," Lewis said. "And do you know, ma'am?"

"I would like the classic lasagna and also a red wine for me," April said.

"Excellent choice," Lewis said.

Lewis walked towards the kitchen with the order. A few minutes later he returned with the wine and a basket of breadsticks.

"The breadsticks are on the house," Lewis said.

"That's so nice of you," April said.

"Thank you," Jackson said.

Lewis walked away from the table. Jackson and April both took a breadstick.

"These breadsticks are delicious," April said.

"Yes," Jackson said, he reached to the basket and grabbed another one.

"Don't eat too many or you won't be hungry later," April said.

I won't eat too much and I promise I'll eat everything of my plate," Jackson said, he saw that April laughed a bit. He grabbed his glasses and raised it. "Cheers."

April raised her glass. "Cheers."

Half an hour later, the dinner was brought and the two started their dinners.

"This tastes so good," April said. "Want to taste it?"

"Okay," Jackson said.

April put some lasagna on her fork and gave it to Jackson.

"Tastes good right?" April asked.

"Very good," Jackson said. "Want to taste my pasta?"

"Sure, I'll like some," April said.

Jackson put some pasta on his fork and handed it to April.

"Your pasta I also very good," April said.

"This is a good restaurant," Jackson said.

"It sure is, April said, she took a sip of her wine. "So how do you like going at the Foundation?"

"What?" Jackson asked.

"I ask how you think it's going so far at the Foundation," April said.

"I think it's going good," Jackson said. "Why do you ask?"

"Sorry, I'm kind of nervous and I was trying to start a conversation," April explained.

"And then you start talking about work?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah, I know, I should have thought of something else," April said.

"It's okay," Jackson said.

"What would you like to talk about?" April said.

"No idea," Jackson said. "But first let me say that you look stunning tonight."

April's felt her cheeks began to blush a little. Thank you, Arizona helped me pick out this dress," she said. "And it turned out to be a good choice."

"I hadn't planned this," Jackson said as he looked down at this tie.

"That we would match?" April asked.

"No, but maybe it tells you something about us," Jackson said.

"Maybe it does," April said.

"I'm glad we're doing this," Jackson said.

"So am I," April said.

Jackson and April continued eating. After dinner the two had ordered another dessert, while they were waiting for that they held hands, gazed into each other's eyes with lovely smiles on their faces.

After dinner, Jackson brought April home.

"Thank you for bringing me home," April said.

"You're welcome," Jackson said.

"I had a great time tonight," April said.

"So did I," Jackson siad.

"Well, see you tomorrow then," April said.

"See you tomorrow," Jackson said.

April opened her door and went inside. Jackson walked back to his car and headed toward his house.

The next day. April was busy in her office, there was a knock at her door and Jackson walked into her office.

"Hey," he said.

"Hi," April said. I really enjoyed last night.

"Me too, we should do this again," Jackson said.

"Yeah, I would like that too," April said.

"And then we'll go to favorite restaurant next time," April said.

"I'm gonna hold you to that," Jackson said.

"I'll keep my word," April said.

"I have to go now, I have a business meeting," Jackson said as he looked at his watch. "How about we meet later in my office for coffee?"

"It's a date," April said.
