"So Jade, what Shakespearean plays do you like?" Tori asked her girlfriend while putting on her bonnet backstage before the final rehearsal of "The Merry Wives of Winsor". The pair had been selected to play Mistress Ford and Page, and were having great fun performing as leads together. It was rare for the school to do "ancient" productions, especially those which have multiple leads.

The raven haired girl answered while she continued putting on her dress, "Well, I mainly like things like Hamlet and Titus Andronicus. You know, the ones with more violence and the theme of revenge." Tori tapped her chin, thinking out loud, "Are these considered the tragedies? How about the more famous ones like Romeo and Juliet or Macbeth?"

"Vega! No!"

Tori tilted her head at her green eyed companion. "Why the big reaction, Jade? I get that you may not like tragedy romances, but Macbeth? I thought you would like it since it's super dark and depressing and all…"

"No! You said it again! You've got to leave the Black Box theater now! Turn around three times, spit over your left shoulder, say a vulgarity and knock before you're allowed back in!"

"I've got to what?!"

"Do as I say, Vega!" Jade grabbed Tori by her hand to drag her out of the door, locking her outside.

With her head still spinning from Jade's response, Tori did as best as she was instructed, whispering the least offensive curse word she could think of. When she was finally allowed back in, she glared at her girlfriend. "Care to explain what that was all about?"

Jade pulled her girlfriend into her chest. "It's bad luck, babe. Just don't say that word again. I've watched enough horror to know not to screw around with unexplainable things. And for the record, yes, I like The Scottish Play as well."

"But that's strange. Why is it called The Scottish Play? And if that word is forbidden, how would anybody even perform a Mac…"

"No!"
