Once Thor and Jane made it to the kitchen, they sat and waited. Loki and Asta entered and Thor jumped up.

"Brother! Sister! I knew that was the bifrost! Why did you disappear so quickly?"

Loki subtlety put himself between Thor and Asta. "Well, it couldn't be helped, I'm afraid. We had urgent business with Tony."

Thor's face fell a bit. "Oh, I see."

"But…" Loki continued. "We also have important Asgardian business for you as well!"

"Oh? What do you need?"

Loki looked to Asta and smiled. "Well, a decision really. Would you prefer Uncle Thor or Onkel Thor when the little one comes?"

Jane gasped and stood up, waiting for the pieces to come together with her husband. His face showed the exact second he figured it out.

"Either is fine by me! I'm so happy for you both!" He made a run for them and luckily Loki's position slowed Thor's impact. He embraced Loki tightly and then gathered Asta in his arms gently. "I'm going to be an uncle!" he shouted.

"Shhh, you great buffoon!" Loki shushed. "We haven't told the others yet!"

"Oh! Oh, sorry!" Thor whispered as best he could as he let go of Asta.

Jane joined them then and hugged Asta. "This is so exciting! I can't wait to be an Auntie!"

Loki looked to Thor as the ladies chatted excitedly. "Can you keep this a secret for just a few minutes more before we tell the rest of the team?" He whispered then, "You'll break Asta's heart if she can't do it."

"I can keep a secret!" Thor protested.

Loki raised an eyebrow.

Thor straightened his shoulders. "For my favorite sister, I will do it."

"Never did for your only brother," Loki muttered with an eyeroll.

"Asta is nicer to me," Thor answered, bumping his shoulder against Loki.

"Fine, then I won't tell you my other news then."

"Other news?"

Loki considered dragging it out and making Thor wait after that comment, but he decided to be kind instead.

"Yes. I've spoken with the council and they have no issue with you marrying Jane in Asgard."

"You've asked already? I thought you were going to wait."

"Well, as it turns out, I have a bit of an extra "in" with the council that I hadn't considered before. One that I'm embarrassed to say I didn't think of in the first place."

"Wait! Gosta's friends!" Thor exclaimed.

Loki nodded. "Yes, Asta's father's old council colleagues were a great help. As it turns out, almost all of them didn't even know that Odin even had an issue with your marriage, or my ascension to the throne."

"Who did then?"

"Sture."

"Oh, of course. Father's oldest friend on the council. Has he caused you any trouble?"

"Not as yet. But he's a stickler for the rules and so he'll go along with what the majority says. And most of them are quite happy with me. And most of them are very much looking forward to meeting Jane, so Sture and Odin will just have to find a way to live with it."

"Loki, I'm so honored that you've already asked. I wasn't expecting this so soon!"

"Yes, well, things were going so well, I thought I'd test the waters. In 6 and a half months, you can wed with no issues."

Thor scrunched his eyebrows. "Six and a half months? That seems arbitrary."

"For good reason, it's meant to seem that way, but in reality, it's to make it appear as though we weren't waiting 1 month or 6 months exactly after my coronation."

"Sometimes having the god of mischief for a brother really does have its advantages."

"I'm glad you're finally seeing it that way."

Thor chuckled and then turned to the chatting ladies. He knelt down before Jane. "My precious Jane, will you be my wife… on Asgard?"

Jane smiled. "I'll be your wife anywhere!"

He stood and kissed her. They turned to Asta and Loki.

"Thank you, brother," Thor said as he stuck out his hand. "I mean it. This means the world to me. As do you."

Loki took the hand and then pulled Thor in for a hug. Asta began to tear up.

"You can't do this to a pregnant lady!" she said with a sniffle.

The brothers looked to Asta and Thor laughed.

"Oh, you're going to be fun for the next 9 months!"

Asta glared. "See if you get any baby snuggles when this child arrives!" she growled before turning to leave.

"Now wait! I'm sorry, Asta! Søster!" he yelled as he followed.

Loki shook his head and Jane looked to him.

"Thank you, Loki. I don't think you know what it means to him that you did this."

"Perhaps not, but I'm glad to have helped. Plus, it's amusing to undo the things that Odin did," he added with a chuckle.

"I can't wait to see what else you undo!"

"Why, Jane! You're impressing me!"

"Yes, well, let's just say that neither of us are a fan of Odin, so I'm in your corner for anything that throws it in his face."

Loki chuckled. "Jane Foster-Odinson, welcome to Team Mischief."

"Happy to be here. Now, we should hurry before Thor blabs your news!"

"Indeed!"

Jane and Loki caught up to Thor and Asta and found everyone on the couches. Natasha and Wanda ran for Asta.

"We missed you!" Wanda said as they group hugged.

"Oh, I've missed you two as well!"

"What brings you back?" Natasha asked.

"Well, we had a few days to ourselves and figured we'd spend them with this crazy crew."

Loki joined her and put his arm around her waist. "No one we'd rather spend it with."

A chorus of "Awww" was heard.

"But," Asta began. "We do have news to share."

Natasha looked to Wanda with a grin.

Asta continued on despite knowing their guess. "We're having a baby!"

"I told you so," Natasha yelled.

"I didn't disagree!" Wanda protested.

Suddenly Asta and Loki were surrounded and embraced by their whole Midgardian family. It felt so wonderful to be surrounded by their love.

"Do you know what you're having yet?" Steve asked.

"No, it's pretty early still," Asta answered. "And the little one is already messing with my powers, so I can barely even use them right now."

"When are you due?" Vision questioned.

"Still about 8 months from now."

"You'd better send pictures of your big ol' belly!" Natasha exclaimed. "You're going to be glowing and gorgeous!"

"I'm going to be huge, is more like it," Asta said with a laugh.

"Oh hush, darling," Loki interrupted. "You will be the most beautiful pregnant woman in the realm. And I won't hear otherwise."

"So there!" Bucky said with a chuckle and an exaggerated point.

"Ok, ok. I know when to not argue," Asta said with hands raised in defeat.

The rest of the day was spent with family time, planning a baby shower, and eating shawarma. Asta felt immensely blessed that this was her family.
