Sakura got out of the Satomobile and looked at the mansion in front of her. "This is the Sato Estate and where you'll be living," Asami stated as she stood beside her. "It's huge," she breathed out. It truly was huge. "I would have loved to help you take a tour around the house but it's pretty late so we'll do it at another time," the Sato heiress spoke. "It's okay, I'm glad I have a place to stay. I didn't really have any plans when I came to Republic City," the pinkette replied. "Why did you come to Republic City?" Korra asked as she came and stood beside her as well. "I'm looking for someone. I have to deliver a message," she said. The two female members of Team Avatar exchanged discrete glances. "Well, we can help you with that. I'm the Avatar, I help anyone in trouble. It's my job," the dark-skinned girl grinned as she moved to stand in front of her. "Don't worry. I can do it by myself," Sakura replied with a small smile. 'You are the one I'm looking for, after all,' she thought. She was accompanied to her room which was two times as large as Lady Tsunade's office. "Make yourself at home. We'll talk tomorrow morning," Asami said after she dropped off Sakura to her room. "Thank you for your hospitality," she said with a slight bow.

Once she was sure Asami's chakra was far away from her room, she created a clone which she left in her bed and jumped out through the window. Using chakra, she walked on the walls of the mansion searching for anyone she could disguise as. A short, bulky man appeared down below, holding a tray as he made his way to the front door. 'There's my chance,' she thought as she jumped down, landing on his shoulders and knocking him with a chop to the back of his head. She placed him under a genjutsu, moved him into a nearby bush and transformed into him. 'I hope my voice doesn't off,' she thought as she made her way into the mansion. She walked around, checking all the rooms. She went through a music room, a laboratory of sorts, an art gala, a sports equipment room and many, many guest bedrooms. "Sir!" she turned around. A young woman with brown hair held into into a bun approached her. "Sir, Lady Asami told me that you should report to her office immediately!" she said breathlessly. She nodded and tracked the chakra signature until she found the room. She knocked on the door. A short 'come in' and she entered the room. Asami was still dressed in her formal attire as with Korra, neither of them had changed. Asami was sitting behind an office desk and Korra was standing beside her. "Lady Asami," she said as way of greeting, roughening up her voice a little.

"I told you not to call me that, Asami is just fine," the green-eyed woman reprimanded. "We have a guest who'll be living with us for the time being, the pink-haired girl you saw earlier. Her name is Sakura Haruno," she began. "She claims that she can manipulate Chi in it's purest form and can bend both water and earth because her parents were water and earth benders," she continued. "But her story doesn't make much sense to me. For all the time that she's here, I need you to watch her for me and report all her activities to me, no matter how menial it is. She might pose as a threat, do you understand what I'm saying?" she said as she looked at him dead in the eye. She cleared her throat. "Yes ma'am. However, I have heard of people who can control two elements if their parents were of different nations," she said gruffly. "How so?" Korra asked. "They are able to manipulate Chi in it's purest form. Since they have different DNAs but which are combined, they can control two elements from their parents because of how they use their Chi. It's different from how you use your Chi, you use it as water natured or fire natured Chi," Sakura explained. "But they're said to have remained only a few of them. I had a friend of mine, a girl to be precise who could do that. I last saw her fifteen years ago though," she added. 'I hope my explanation is believable,' the pinkette thought. "What about their hair color?" Asami asked. "Because of how they use their Chi, they have an usual hair color. Some have blue, yellow, grey, white, green-" Pink," Korrah cut in. "Yes," she agreed. "So she was telling the truth," the dark-skinned girl turned to her friend. "It appears so," the other girl agreed. "Well, just carry out your assignment as best as possible and report to me every day on your findings," the Sato heir spoke with her eyes hard. She nodded. She bowed and made her way to the door. "Wait." She froze in her tracks. 'What more do they want from me?' she thought as she turned around to face the duo."Your voice sounds off, a little high pitched. Do you have a fever?" Asami asked as her features etched into concern. "Yes but it's not serious. By tomorrow, I'll be fine," she said as she feigned coughing.

She was dismissed and she let out a sigh of relief as soon as she closed the door behind her. It was time for her to go back to her room but first she needed to get the butler to his room. And she didn't know which one. She decided to drop him off at the nearest room. She went back to the bush and dragged the man into the mansion. She was on her way to the first guest bedroom she had seen when she heard footsteps approaching. She turned to the side and saw the same girl from earlier. She stopped dead in her tracks. She looked at her then the man she was dragging. Her eyes widened in fear just as Sakura's widened in realization. 'Damn, I haven't removed my henge,' she thought as a high pitched scream sounded in the entire estate.

When Mako woke up the next morning, he was surprised to find Sakura and Bolin drinking tea in their kitchen. "What is she doing here?" he asked his brother as he went to the sink to get a glass of water. His throat was dry and parched. The glass was finished in two gulps. "Well, since she volunteered to help us in our detective work, she thought it best for us to go together to HQ. She came here at around 4am," Bolin explained. The firebender glanced at the clock on the wall. It read 0537, work was suppose to start at 0600. He was going to be late today. "I haven't talked to Chief Beifong so there's no need for her to be here," he replied as he fished for a cup around the kitchen. "Obviously, I have to prove that I'm capable to be your assistant," she chirped. He noted that she was dressed in the same attire as before. The maroon and white would stand out amidst all the dark shades most policemen would be wearing. But the colors complimented her face though, the pink hair especially. He cleared his throat.

"You want to be my assistant?" he asked. She nodded. "It's easier that way since you have a higher position than Bolin. You completed a lot of cases by yourself, some of which were even deemed impossible so having an assistant would be great, right?" she beamed. "Plus where I came from, I was an assistant to my master since she was the leader of our village. I did a lot of office work for her," she added as put her cup on the platter to look at him. It was a tad but unnerving to have her stare at him dead in the eye. "Where is your village?" he asked curiously. Her eyes dulled a little. "Some where far away, I got here by luck. I had to cross a spirit portal to get here," she said with a sigh. "A spirit portal?" Bolin questioned. "Yes, the one in Republic City," she replied. "Wait a sec, if you came the through a spirit portal then that means your village had to have a spirit portal," Bolin said as if it was the most brightest idea he ever had. "I guess, but we don't have a spirit portal in my village. I was playing with a friend of my mine at one of the abandoned offices of one of our previous leaders. He carried out a lot of researches. We opened a scroll and the last thing I remember was a blinding light before I was at the spirit portal in Republic City," she told them. Part of it was true but that wasn't the entire truth. That had been the last thing she remembered but she woke up in a grave in the Earth Kingdom. She stayed there for two months before coming to Republic City but she wasn't about to tell them that.

"But you said you decided to come to Republic City, as if it was a choice," Mako said with a tinge of suspicion. He recalled her words perfectly in his mind. ... I've been living with my master until two months ago when I decided to come to Republic City. The pinkette chuckled. "It's true. I did decide to come to Republic City but that wasn't the way I had intended to come. I wasn't even prepared for it," she told them. Mako decided he would interrogate her more on their way to work. He left the duo as the woman explained about her best friend who had yellow hair.

After he was showered and had taken a meal, the trio left the apartment and headed the police HQ. Sakura received a lot of looks for her unusual hair color. "I forgot to bring my head wrap," she muttered to herself but both boys heard her. "So what's your village like?" Mako asked. She was walking between the two of them. "Well, we have a village leader called the Hokage. He's considered the strongest in the village and can lead all aspects of the village. My master, Lady Tsunade, she was the first female Hokage in a hundred years. She's a a drunk and a terrible gambler but you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of her first. That woman can pack a hard punch," she said as she thought all the times the said lady had punched her in the name of training. She told them about the grouping system of having teams and being assigned a team leader. She didn't tell them about the S-clas missions they would take but mentioned menial escort missions and finding roguen ninja. She kept her explanation as brief as possible and in line with their world. Both of them seemed content with the explanations.

They arrived at the HQ and Mako made his way to Chief Beifong's office whilst Sakura and Bolin went to his shared office with Bolin. He knocked on the door and was given permission to enter. "Good morning Chief," he greeted. "Morning Mako, to what do I owe this early visit not to mention you are late today?" the metalbender said as she fixed him an intense stare. He shifted a bit under her gaze. "There's this girl we met yesterday called-" "Sakura, am I right? If that's what you want to talk about then don't bother. Asami and Korra already filled me in and their suspicions about her. I'm sure you share the same suspicions as them," she spoke with her hands clasped in front of her and elbows resting on the desk. "Umm...yes," he said as he cringed mentally. 'Why didn't they tell me that they had already told Chief Beifong?' he thought. "So I hear that she doesn't have a job and offered to work here whilst keeping an eye on your health because of your blocked Chi paths," she stated. "What did you have in mind for her?" she asked him. "I thought maybe she can work as my personal assistant, that way I can keep a close eye on her," he suggested. The woman was in thought for awhile. "I guess it's a good idea. Plus I was going to promote you anywaya so might as well have a personal assistant as a bonus," she said with a smirk.
