Sakura Haruno, more commonly known as Dr. Haruno, was waiting for her latest patient to arrive. Dr. Yaeger, bless the old man, had given her a job as his assistant when she stumbled upon him a year ago. It was enough to keep her surviving in Marley. There were more and more wars as of late, meaning that the medical tents were fuller than usual. In her time here, she gotten to know what this world was like. It was twisted in every possible, humans being turned into man-eating monsters called Titans, the Titans being used to attack Paradis Island, use of technologically advanced machinery and wiping out of entire clans. She felt sorry for the people at Paradis, living in constant fear especially since their walls had been breached over the past ten years hence shattering any form of peace they had. She also felt sorry for the people at Marley who had been pushed to the brink of extinction by Eldians, the Subjects of Ymir were the ones who started all this after all. She also felt sorry for herself because she couldn't pick sides, both sides had lost equally.

The patient was called Eren Kruger. He had lost an arm and an eye, injuries from fighting against people from the Mid-East. Dr. Yaeger had requested that she personally attend to him since he was too busy to attend to the young man. She had never been more grateful to him. Eren was an enigma. His eyes were always blank and composed, reminding her of Sasuke. His hair was long, unkempt with a slight moustache and a goatee. She had teased him often time that it made him look older than he already did. He was only 19 years old, she was a few months away from 19, or was it 20? She didn't know.

But both of them, she knew, were older than that. They both held eyes of one who had seen more than what was required of their age. She had lived through a war, countless of bloodshed and death. More lives had been lost in her hands than had been saved. But still, it didn't quench the fire within her. The fire to help people, to heal. And so when she arrived in Marley, she looked for a job as a doctor or anything medical related. She didn't dare to reveal her full powers yet. She was content with what she had today.

There was a knock on the door and her soft voice beckoned him to enter. Though she had grown accustomed to his nonchalant expressions, living with emotionally stunted shinobi did more than know how to deal with them. She could easily read their expressions. Plus she sensed it in his chakra. He was agitated.

"Good morning Eren," she greeted with a smile.

He replied with a nod of his own, taking a seat at the unoccupied chair near her desk. She rose up from her seat behind the desk and walked over to him, her white coat swaying in the process. The cost was thin, too thin to be called a lab coat. It wouldn't last a second if she were to start mixing her poisons but that's what she could afford so it would do.

"Are you in pain? Is there anything that feels out of place?" she asked as she stopped in front of him, her stethoscope in hand. "Just my eye," came the toneless reply. "Okay, I'll have to remove the eye patch to check if there's anything amiss, which I'm sure there isn't," she said as she hung the stethoscope around her neck. She bent lightly in front of him. He was tall, very tall and she didn't need to go low much since she was almost at eye level with him even when he seating. Plus the chair was high too. Her hand hovered in front of his eye patch for a long time. "What's the matter?" he asked.

"I..." she hesitated.

Though she so badly wanted to know more about him, Eren hadn't been open to her about anything at all. She had told him all about herself. Her fake cover story that she grew up in Marley before her parents succumbed to cancer when she was 11 which prompted her to start training to be a doctor at an early age of 13. She had learnt all she knew from her mentor who left Marley two years ago to explore the lands. She had wandered around until she met Dr. Yaeger a year ago.

"You what?" he asked again. She took a deep breath before speaking. "Shouldn't I be the one asking you that question? I can sense it all over you, something's bothering you," the pinkette pointed out. "So? What's your point?" he shot back. Sakura bit her lip as she struggled to maintain her composure. He was so difficult! He had been difficult since the day she met him. He had refused for her to treat him. It was only that he had seen her perform a surgery on a man whose neck had been almost sliced off, knitting at the cut skin with such precision that marvelled all those who had been watching that he had finally relented.

Sakura's hand dropped to her sides and she glared at him. "What's wrong with you? I'm trying to help you, to be your friend but all you've ever done is push me away," she said with a slight crack in her voice. "Did I ever ask to be your friend?" Eren asked her, his eyes drilling holes into her. He wasn't overly handsome but something about him made her heart jump, just as he did now. "I didn't say you wanted to be my friend. I want to be your friend," she emphasized the second statement. She was standing up straight but her short stature made her reach a few inches above his head.

"Why do you want to be my friend?" the brunette asked as he stared at her unflinchingly. Sakura sighed as she ran a hand through her long hair which reached mid-back. Long fringes framed either sides of her face and every movement made her hair sway in the process. "I... don't know how to explain it. I just feel this sudden urge to want to become your friend. All my life I've never had any problems making friends but then I meet you who doesn't want anything to do with me. It just fuels my desire further," she replied with a light laugh.

That seemed to have gotten his attention because he was now looking at her curiously, the first expression she had seen since meeting him three months ago. "If I were your friend, what would you do for me?" Eren asked her, his right eyebrow raised curiously. Left eyebrows were usually raised so seeing him raise his right eyebrow made her want to befriend him more. She had tried to raise her right eyebrow on numerous accounts only to fail.

"Anything, obviously. I would watch your back as you would watch mine. Plus I'd lend an ear for you and vice versa," she told him, her face determined.

Eren watched her face intently and she almost squirmed under all the attention. "Would you really do anything for me?" he asked again. She flinched when she felt his hands on her waist, squeezing lightly. "O-Of course, anything for you!" she blurted then immediately regretted her words as a blush overtook her features. It sounded like a confession from a lovesick girl. "I m-mean as a friend, not l-like a lover or-" her words died in her throat as he squeezed at her waist again. Her breath hitched in her throat at the heated gaze he directed towards her.

"Can I do this?" he asked as he fingered the waistband of her cream pants. Sakura was too afraid to speak and nodded dumbly. Her brain was going overdrive. She couldn't keep up with what was happening. His hands slipped underneath her pale pink shirt, crawling upwards with an agonizing slowlness until they reached the dip of her waistline. Eren squeezed again and Sakura couldn't hold back a gasp from the heat which pooled in her stomach at the action.

"Eren?"

She was glad that her voice came out strong because she felt weak in her knees. She had never felt anything like this in all her life as a shinobi and in Marley. He pulled her closer and rested his face on her chest, breathing deeply. "You smell nice," he commented, his voice muffled by the fabric of her shirt. "You think so?" her voice came out weakly. Unsurely but boldly, she tenderly wrapped her arms around his head, pulling him closer to her chest.

"Sakura." That was the first time he called her by her name.

"Yeah?"

"Give me all of you."

That was the last time she had seen Eren. Three months ago and she was still on the run. She had left Marley a week ago, boarding a ship which would take her to Paradis Island. Her leave had been rushed, unplanned. She pressed a glowing hand to her slightly bulging stomach, the glow of medical chakra covered by her red overcoat. She felt a tiny jump, the chakra of the being growing inside was steady and unharmed. She wore a white long sleeved dress with pink sash just below her breasts which had grown rather large over the course of the past ten weeks.

Sakura looked at the port, they would be arriving in a matter of a few minutes. Her few possessions which included a single dress, some undergarments and a journal in which she rarely wrote and a blade were safely tucked in a sling bag. It was the same blade which had saved her when she first arrived. The user had disappeared before she could see his face, leaving behing the steaming Titan with the blade stuck to the nape of its neck. She would later discover that it was the only way she could kill a Titan without it regenerating.

She headed towards the nearest stall she could find. She had barely enough money to keep her sustained over the next few days. Her journey would probably take a week or even more. But she had to move forward. She had to get away from Marley as fast as she could. She had to get away from Eren. If he knew, if only he knew what the two of them had created, what she had taken away from him. It won't be only her life on the line.

"Hello," she greeted the young boy. His head perked up and looked at her, eyes widening as a blush overcame his features. "Woah, you're really pretty," he said, voice still squeaky. His face was adorned with baby fat and dirt clung to his face like a second skin. She smiled thankfully at him. "How much are the apples?" she asked as she pointed at the apples which looked too red to be true. "A dime each," he replied. "I'll take five," she said as she handed him the coins. The boy looked at her incredulously. "I've never had anyone buy this much in a single day," he breathed out.

"What's your name?" she asked him. "Rudolf," he replied. "How old are you?" She asked again. "I'm nine, turning ten soon," he said with a hint of pride. She took out another coin and handed it to him. "Why are you giving me this money?" he said as he stared at the outstretched hand. "Think of it as a birthday present and for being such a nice kid," she replied with a good natured smile.

She left with five apples plus an extra orange and two bananas. She thanked the boy with a kiss on his dirty cheek and a pat on the head before putting the food in her bag and setting off to find a man named Levi Ackerman. She heard Reiner mention him on multiple occasions as Humanity's Strongest Soldier. And so she would find this soldier and maybe he could help her with her situation.

She arrived in Shiganshina after two weeks. Travelling in the forest had its perks. Since she knew almost every living plant, she ate herbs which would keep her baby and herself safe from hunger. She also used her chakra to disrupt her nerve receptors, making sure that she didn't feel hungry. The apples were finished by the seventh day. The orange and bananas lasted until the twelfth day. Her appetite seemed to grown by the day.

The town had been reclaimed from Titans from what she read in the newspaper. She was happy for the Eldians. It was one of the few times they had won against the Titans. Civilization had once again begun in the town but how was she going to find Levi Ackerman? She didn't know anything about him, even his face except that he was Humanity's Strongest Soldier. After asking around for the next three days, she knew what she had to do. He was a Squad Leader of the Survey Corps hence she had to join the Corps. But it would take three years for her to train and become one so she settled for a more easier route, one that was befitting for a shinobi.

She went to the Survey Corps building, hiding her presence using a cloaking jutsu. She would find someone to impersonate using a henge. Someone who was easy to imitate. After spending another three days studying each of the soldiers, she decided to choose a girl called Sasha Blouse. She loved food, literally. And with her growing appetite, she seemed like the right candidate for the job. Then she could eat all she wanted without raising suspicion.

On the fourth night, she silently entered her sleeping quarters and put her in a medically-induced coma for the next seven days. She put a a genjutsu in the room, making it appear as though she wasn't sleeping on the bed when she actually was. Going through the handsigns, there was a loud poof. Instead of Sakura Haruno stood Sasha Blouse, ableit with a more mature expression that her usual cheery one.

The following morning, a boy which she later learned was called Connie came by to pick her up. "Commander Hange said to report to her office immediately. Armin was the one who came to tell me and said I should to tell you too," he told her. "Okay," was all she said. Connie stopped at looked at her closely. "Aren't you going to drop by the kitchen?" he said as he watched her suspiciously. At that, her stomach growled in retribution. Sakura had the decency to blush. "Let's go to the kitchen first and eat before we meet Commander Hange," she chuckled as she scratched her cheek in embarrassment.

The two soldiers did stop by the kitchen. "I know that you eat a lot but this is extreme. Are you sure you aren't pregnant?" Sakura sputtered, almost choking on the potato she was eating. "P-Pregnant?" she stammered as she wiped her mouth. Had he seen through her henge? "Yeah, pregnant women eat a lot and you're eating like one," he teased, a mischievous smile on his face. Sakura's face drained of color as she stared at him. "I'm just joking!" he said whilst snickering. "Don't joke like that. It's disgusting," she said as she took the potato in his plate. He pushed his plate towards. "Take my plate, think of it as an apology," he said with a friendly smile. "Thanks!" she chirped in reply.

They arrived to find the others there. Armin, Mikasa, Jean and others she didn't recognize were already there. She noticed a short guy with sleep deprived eyes standing beside their Commander. She noted that he stared at her and she stared at him even longer. "Who's that?" she asked Connie who stood beside her. "Sasha Blouse, if Captain Levi hears you asking that question, you're a goner," he whispered beside her as they stood at her. Sakura nodded her head in understanding as she turned to look at the woman sitting at the desk, her fingers laced together. She had found the person she was looking for, Humanity's Strongest Soldier.

"We have received word from Eren that he will launch an attack on Marley in the three days, the day of the Liberio Festival," Hange said. Sakura's ears perked in attention. Were they talking about her Eren? "He's under the alias of a man named Eren Kruger and has been sending us information on Marley for the last three months," she spoke. Sakura wasn't surprised. She had known that he wasn't what he appeared to be, his mysterious aura said as much. "You all will be leaving today. Your mission is to assist him in every manner possible on the day of the attack. Your leader is Captain Levi," the bespectacled woman finished.

Sakura waited with baited breath as she watched her teammates share looks with each other. She would be going back to Marley as an Eldian. She didn't know how to use ODM gear plus she was pregnant. Would she get caught that she was an imposter? Would she come out unscathed? Her hand unconsciously went to her stomach. Her resolve may have faltered but she wasn't the Godaime's apprentice for nothing. She was doing this to protect her child. She was betting her life on it. She needed to know more.

I watched the first season of AOT and read a few fanfics and here I am writing a fanfiction of my own. I hope you enjoy. Sorry if the characters seem a bit OOC. I'm eagerly waiting for your reviews.
