Reminder, Odwin wears long sleeves and a glove over his prosthetic arm to hide it.

"Yeesh." Said Odwin wincing.

"You're so losing this bet." Muttered Odalia with her face in the in the dirt as layed face first on the ground inside a hole.

"You're not even trying." Odwin crossed his arm with a frown.

"I am. I'm trying to not jump into the boiling sea." Replied Odalia dejectedly.

"Are you sure you don't want to get out of this hole? Ed and Em went to help Amity and Eda so it's just you and me." Said Odwin with an awkward smile.

"I want to dig down even further." Said Odalia dejectedly.

Odwin sighed before putting a hand on his chin. He stared at his mother for a few long seconds before his eyes widened all of a sudden and a mischievous smile spread across his face.

"Even if there's money to get?" Asked Odwin slyly.

Odalia's ears immediately perked upon the mention of the golden word, prompting Odwin to continue.

"Imagine how much money can be made here? Like bets and the demand for cheap snacks and merchandise sold at double their value, but i guess that doesn't matter to you."

Odwin slowly walked away whistling as he listened in on Odalia's thoughts calculating all the money she can make from the Bonesborough brawl and after about 2 meters, he heard a loud groan.

"Fine! You win!" Exclaimed Odalia angrily as she got out of her depression pit. "But we're selling them at triple the price, got it?"

Odwin couldn't help but laugh at her demeanor, which only had his mother frowning even more.

"Welcome, everyone, to Blight industry's brawl shop! We have snacks, toys and shirts for you to best enjoy the brawl!"

"Where did you even get this stuff?" Asked Odwin raising a brow as Odalia sold her merchandise.

"I had a few spares from my younger days. They're so generic you can sell them at a funeral." Said Odalia with an evil smile.

Odwin shivered in disgust before noticing a plushie of with brown hair and golden eyes wearing clothes dirtied by abomination goo lying on the table.

"Is that what i think it is?"

"*gasp* The Alador plushie! I was wondering where this went." Said Odalia picking up the plushie. "I still remember the day i bought this."

"At least lie and say you made it yourself." Odwin rolled his eyes with a frown.

"Oh i did; to your dad at least." Said Odalia with an evil smile.

"Ugh, were are you always like this?" Asked Odwin with a clear displeasure.

Odalia went silent for a few seconds before answering. "Not always."

Odwin's ears perked upon hearing that. Odalia noticed this and asked.

"What? Want to know my backstory?" Asked Odalia mockingly before noticing the invested look on her son's face. "Hold on, you do?"

Odwin slowly nodded and Odalia's shoulders slumped down.

"It's not something exciting or dramatic if that's what you're looking for." Said Odalia calmly. She took a short pause before taking a deep breath. "I badly wanted something one day and then learned how i can get it. One thing happened after another and i got here."

"That's it?"

"No one needs a tragic backstory to be a bad person, Bun-Bun." Said Odalia rolling her eyes. "Sometimes that's just who we are."

Odwin felt as there was more, but he didn't try to pry further. Instead, he tried looking on the good side.

"And sometimes we can change. Imagine how much everyone would like you if you became nice."

"Oh, how delightful. Look, I became unable to do anything for one day and you can see that-"

"No one is bothering you at all." Deadpanned Odwin. "Can't you see that everything would be better if you were just nice to everyone? Heck! Even just your family! Look at Ed and Em-"

"No, thank you." Deadpanned Odalia

Odwin grumbled as he got more and more frustrated.

"Why do you have to be so difficult?!" Asked Odwin angrily.

"Because i want to. Now stop trying." Said Odalia with clear displeasure.

"No! Can't you see how better off everyone would be! Like dad-"

Odwin couldn't finish his sentence before a pillar of abomination goo rose from the ground to reveal an angry Alador.

"Would you look at that, it's dad and he's not happy. I wonder where all that change went." Said Odalia rolling her eyes.

"Maybe he's just here to ask Amity what's going on." Said Odwin with a frown before.

"Stop the match this instant!" Exclaimed Alador with a frown.

"You were saying?" Asked Odalia with a chuckle.

"They'll resolve it quickly, i know it." Replied Odwin confidently.

Odalia smiled and gestured for Odwin come closer. "How about we test that theory?" She said calmly before she and Odwin began watching Amity and Alador talk.

"Dad? How did you find us?" Asked Amity in shock.

"Someone set off your Abomaton's alarm. I just followed its signal." Said Alador crossing his arms as he lowered himself down to Amity's height. "Now, i want to know why you're here and not at the coven tryouts."

Amity turned to Luz and asked. "Luz, did you... lie to me earlier?"

"I didn't wanna worry you." Said Luz nervously.

"Well, I am worried! You've been acting weird all day and now I'm in trouble! What is going on with you?"

Odalia smiled as she watched the event unfold. She glanced at Odwin and spoke.

"Oh my! Looks like everything fell apart in about 4 seconds, but let's keep watching to see what happens." She said with an evil smile.

Odwin scowled before turning to his dad and his sister. The anger quickly turned into desperate hope as the scene continued.

Alador quickly took out Warden Wrath, who tried to attack them, and dismissed the announcer before turning to Amity.

"Amity, I'll respect your decision as long you have a good reason-"

"Respect my decision?! Where was that this morning!" Exclaimed Amity angrily, causing Alador to wince. "I'm not talking with you...or going with you."

Luz flinched at the last sentence before Amity used an invisibility glyph and disappeared.

"No no no no, i did it again! Stupid Alador!" Alador said as he looked around for Amity.

Seeing this, Odalia burst into laughter.

"Would you look at that!" Exclaimed Odalia cheerfully. "The results of the change your were so proud of."

Odwin's eyes began to sting as tears formed in them. He tried to look angry rather than sad, but failed and started walking away.

"Where are you going?" Asked Odalia calmly.

Odwin destroyed the oath keeping Odalia from punishing anyone before speaking. "Have your stupid authority back, just leave me alone."

Odalia chuckled happily at this behavior with moving an inch to try and get Odwin to come back.

"You really are the worst, aren't you?" Odalia turned to the source of the voice to see her elder daughter.

"Pfft, i was just showing him the truth." Said Odalia with an evil smile. "And now i have my authority back; so you better stay in line."

Emira went silent for a few seconds before she did something she usually wouldn't

She slapped Odalia even while knowing that the oath was no longer in effect.

"How dare-*

"No! How dare YOU! I don't care if you ground me for the rest of my life or whatever else you want to do, see if i care! But Odwin was the only person in this family who didn't give up on you. Everyone else would be ecstatic to see you drown in the boiling see."

Odalia glared at Emira and Emira glared back.

"You blew the one chance you had for anyone to like you! Heck, me and Ed didn't try to bother you today even though we could've gotten back at you for everything. But you deserve worse. Much worse!"

"That's enou-" Odalia couldn't finish before screams were heard from the brawl stage.

Emira began heading towards it instantaneously.

"Where do you think you're going?" Asked Odalia angrily.

"Somewhere i can do something good with my life, unlike someone else." Emira said before rushing off, leaving a frowning Odalia alone with her thoughts and pain on her cheek.

Meanwhile, somewhere in a forest.

sob*

"You know it'll end on a good note, this isn't the season's penultimate after all." Said a dark figure as they loomed over the crying Odwin.

"You're back. That could've been useful a few episodes ago." Said Odwin with barely any energy or vigor.

"You really shouldn't waste your energy on her. She isn't worth it." Said the figure calmly.

"I just thought that i could do it. That maybe it'd be like Ed and Em and dad, but i *sob* failed."

"Shh, it's okay. It's not your fault. She was MADE to be a villain."

Odwin's eyes widened as an idea sprung into his head.

"Then let's MAKE her into something else." He said with cold eyes.

The dark couldn't help but smile at Odwin's proposal before he nodded.

"Let's create a better Odalia."

Odalia didn't punish Emira if you're wondering, or anyone for that matter for anything that happened that day. She, however, did not do a funny song and dance.

Tell me how i did. Leave a review.

Toodles.
