"How's your neck?"
Izuku raised his fingers, allowing his digits to trace the bandages covering his large burn scar courtesy of Katsuki.
"Feels completely fine thanks to you Shuzenji-Sensei, thank you."
The elderly hero allowed a smile to grace her features as she turned toward the ever-growing file labeled "Izuku" and slid another injury report in.
"You can thank me by taking a break, at least for today." The Jujutsu Sorcerer nodded as whisps of pink dusted his face, permeating his wrapped right jaw.
If everything went well, he'd definitely be resting today.
Rummaging through his pocket, the Sorcerer produced his cell phone before unlocking the device and sending a message,
And sending a silent prayer that she wouldn't say no.
"HE WHAT?!"
"SSHHHH"
Padded fingers feverently settled themselves upon the pinkette's face, silencing her instantly.
Her brown eyes shifted toward Mina's door, silently praying that the girl's parents hadn't heard them before sighing in relief. She was safe.
For now.
"Mmmf!"
"Oh! Sorry, Mina." Lithe fingers retracted from the girl's pink skin as a sheepish laugh escaped her throat.
The aforementioned pinkette offered her friend an annoyed glare which she hastily dropped after watching the fidgeting brunette.
Shooting her hand out, Mina gingerly pulled the brunette's own hand away from her stomach, stopping her act of pulling on its sides.
A recent habit of her friend, one she wasn't too fond of.
Separating their palms, Mina switched her attention to the astronaut-themed phone lying on her leopard-print bed, eyes pouring over the contact info displayed.
"You even put a little heart next to his name, that's adorable!" Mina punctuated her sentence with a hug, smushing her own face against the brunette's.
Heat washed over Ochako's face as she hastily separated from her friend, desperate to return to the topic at hand.
Swiftly snatching her phone, the brunette turned it toward her pink friend, a padded finger sternly pointed at the message she'd received, a look of desperation painting her face.
"What do I do?! Help meeee!" Ochako grabbed her classmate by the shoulder before shaking her to further convey her distress.
Pressing her finger to her lips, Mina adopted a thoughtful expression before snapping her fingers, a grin proudly on display.
"You accept, duh! He said he wanted to spend the day with you, do you want to spend yours with him?"
Ochako gave a vigorous nod.
"Then text him and say "Of course, I'd love to spend time with you." and go have fun with your boyfriend!"
The brunette nodded anxiously before focusing her gaze on her phone, shaking fingers hovering over the screen.
She remained static for minutes, doe-like chocolate eyes pouring over the screen as she chewed her bottom lip.
"Oh for chrissakes!"
Snatching the phone from her friend, Mina effortlessly texted the greenette, confirming the date between him and her friend before lightly tossing the phone back to a horrified Ochako.
The room stayed silent for what seemed like eons before Mina, slightly annoyed at her friend's senseless worry, broke it.
"You're welcome!"
"Ok 'Chako, all you haveta do is walk up, say hi, and have fun with your b-boyfriend!"
Raising her padded fingers, the brunette sent a slight slap to her perpetually flushed cheeks in an attempt to hype herself up.
It didn't work.
"What if he doesn't wanna spend time with me anymore? Am I dressed too casually? What if I mess up and drive him away? What if he only wants ta be friends?"
Negative thoughts flooded her head as she pulled at the shirt he'd loaned her, the large garment going to her mid-thigh, slightly obscuring the jean shorts she wore in tandem.
Studying her outfit further, Ochako's thoughts doubled down, fearful that her boyfriend might be uncomfortable with her wearing his clothes on a date.
"Yo,"
Immediately after hearing the voice, Ochako nearly jumped out of her skin before hastily turning about-face to catch sight of its owner.
The sight before her could have killed her with how strongly it stole her breath.
There, in front of her, stood Izuku Midoriya, her boyfriend, dressed in a plain black hoodie with the words "Mom Jeans." embroidered in white on the center in tandem with a pair of khakis and white sneakers.
But that wasn't what snaffled her breath.
From his collarbone all the way up to just barely above his jaw, a freshly healed burn scar painted his skin.
That, in tandem with the medium-length scar on his brow and the small one on his mouth, led Ochako to a revelation.
She definitely had a thing for scars.
"Uhh, Ochako?"
His voice snapped her from her thoughts while intensifying the heat spreading throughout her body.
She'd definitely been staring.
Diverting her chocolate eyes, the brunette mustered up as much courage as she could before speaking.
"H-Hi!"
Truly profound.
A tender smile tinted the boy's expression as he wrapped his girlfriend in an embrace.
A sense of comfort washed over the brunette instantly, her nervousness going with it, as she eagerly returned the hug.
The two stayed in each other's arms for minutes, a time that seemed like picoseconds to the two, before finally separating, a flushed Izuku breaking the silence as well.
"I-I missed you…" He punctuated his admission by avoiding her eyes, his own blue ones marred with anxiousness.
It was now Ochako's turn to strip her partner of their nervousness as the girl raised her left hand, brushing her fingers over the burn scar and using her padded digits to turn the taller boy's face toward her.
Her once nervous expression was replaced with one of affection as she leaned upward and placed a delicate kiss upon the Sorcerer's lips.
"I missed you too."
"So where to?"
Ochako looked up toward her boyfriend, her chocolate eyes tinted with an inquisitive glean as the pair walked hand in hand.
Izuku brought his left arm under his chin, adopting a look of deep thought as they perused a plethora of shops downtown.
As the seconds ticked by, Ochako felt her anticipation build, eager to know where they'd be spending their day together.
Until Izuku finally answered.
"No clue."
As soon as the words registered in her ears, Ochako tripped in shock, nearly falling had it not been for Izuku gingerly catching her before she could.
"So what're we gonna do?" A tilt of her head punctuated her sentence as she internally cursed at her shift in dialect.
The aforementioned shift went unnoticed by the Sorcerer as his eyes perused the surrounding shops, a thoughtful expression gracing his features.
After a few moments, Izuku's sky-blue eyes sparkled as he eagerly pointed toward a shop, his face overtaken by joy.
Tracing her boyfriend's arm, Ochako knew why.
"Yes! Yes! YES! C'mon, let's go!"
Tightening her grip on the Sorcerer's arm, Ochako dragged her boyfriend off toward the sweets shop labeled "Amai Yoru".
As soon as the duo walked into the shop, they were greeted by the staff who eagerly introduced the wide selection of sweets offered from a wide range of nations.
Even
American ones.
Izuku led the brunette to a mountain of chocolate before plucking one out and proudly presenting it to his girlfriend,
Who was immensely confused.
"Reese's Peanut Butter Cups? I don't think I've seen these before." The brunette punctuated her sentence with a slight tilt of her head, a curious tint in her eyes as she stared at the orange packaging.
Her boyfriend vibrated as sparkles adorned his Six Eyes, the boy eager to introduce the brunette to the world of American sweets.
"That's because you normally can't get them here. I can only guess how they managed to get so many in the country." Ochako's interest was now piqued as she allowed her boyfriend to lead her to the register.
Paying for the chocolate bar, in tandem with a number of baked goods, the pair sat toward the back of the shop, obscured in a booth tucked away from the rest of the patrons.
The couple sat across from one another before Izuku began to unwrap the peanut butter cups, his excitement bleeding from his person and instilling itself within Ochako herself.
After all, it's not every day you get to try American candy.
"Here,"
Her boyfriend brought the piece of candy to the center of the table, his right hand hovering under the treat to prevent any melting chocolate from hitting the table.
Ochako felt the familiar sensation of a smile working its way onto her face as she tucked a lock of brown hair behind her ear. Leaning in, the brunette parted her lips before capturing the treat between them and taking a bite. It was good,
But her boyfriend's reaction was better.
The Sorcerer was covered head to toe in crimson, vibrant Six Eyes widened as he desperately searched for something, anything, else to focus his powerful gaze on.
It was adorable.
Watching the scar-riddled, 5'10 boy who'd taken down villains and competitors alike squirm from her actions left a fluttering feeling in her stomach.
"I'll get addicted at this rate."
Dismissing the thought from her mind, Ochako turned back toward her boyfriend, expecting to find the same nervousness dancing in his Six Eyes.
But instead, there was a glint she knew all too well.
One of mischief.
Faster than she could process, Izuku placed the remaining peanut butter cup between his own lips and closed the gap between them, capturing her lips in his.
The effect was immediate, any faint pain from the Sports Festival melting away as she drowned herself in the taste of chocolate, peanut butter, and her wonderful boyfriend.
"Recovery Girl doesn't have shit on this."
Before long the two parted, their lips covered in chocolate and their faces painted with a blush.
They remained in an odd mix between comfortable and awkward as gazes that once refused to meet each other remained locked.
Until Izuku broke that silence.
"Awe man, are you cereal?"
Ochako fought desperately to fight a giggle as she watched her boyfriend frustratedly stare at the melted chocolate painting his digits.
He was just too cute.
"If he keeps this up I might just have a heart attack."
Once more, Ochako buried the thought, choosing to focus on the greenette feverently searching for a napkin.
"Here, let me." The aspiring pro took the boy's left hand in her right, bringing it up to her face,
Before licking the melted chocolate off her boyfriend's knuckle.
"So where did you learn how to fight like that?"
The couple had exited the sweets shop, both sporting fierce blushes that hadn't receded since they began walking the town.
A smile wormed its way onto the Sorcerer's face as the memory of how he'd taken up Taekwondo permeated his mind.
Keeping his gaze ahead, the greenette began to answer his girlfriend's question.
"When my brother was initially training me, he taught me the basics but that was really it. I couldn't fight the way he could mainly because I don't have his Cursed Technique nor do I have his strength; so I turned to another hero and emulated her. Any guesses?."
The brunette brought her left hand under her chin and puffed her cheeks, her brain fervently pouring over who exactly fought in a fashion similar to Izuku.
Then, a lightbulb went off in her brain.
"Miruko, The Rabbit Hero!"
"Ding ding ding."
The two shared a laugh before Ochako rested her head on his shoulder, her chocolate eyes tracing up and down every one of his scars.
The scars she loved.
On the boy she loved.
The two continued their leisure walk for a few more minutes until the brunette spoke once more with a follow-up to her previous question.
"I'm not too strong, I think that's why I lost my match during the tournament. Would you…would you teach me to fight, Deku?"
She didn't have to wait for his answer.
"Absolutely!"
"Let's take a break here."
Izuku's Six Eyes followed the girl's arm as she pointed toward a familiar playground.
One that was familiar for all the wrong reasons.
Before the Sorcerer could open his mouth to respond, Ochako had already managed to scale the Jungle Gym, padded fingers eagerly waving the boy over.
A look of confliction flashed over the boy's features which he hastily shook off before bringing his hands together.
"Nue,"
The large bird-like Shikigami materialized, swooping down and grabbing her summoner before plopping him down next to the brunette.
The aforementioned girl giggled, throwing a playful punch to the boy's arm before speaking.
"Show off much?"
She didn't get an answer.
Turning toward her boyfriend, she could see why.
His expression was marred with a look of nervousness, desperation, and worst of all,
Fear.
Ochako hastily framed the boy's jaw with her padded fingers, turning his face toward her own as concern began to permeate her own features.
"What's wrong?"
Her padded thumbs brushed over his cheeks, her left palm just barely making contact with his burn scar.
Six Eyes turned downward, desperate to avoid the look of concern painting his girlfriend's face.
"Izuku."
He couldn't for much longer.
Exhaling a breath he hadn't known he was holding, Izuku ran a finger through his tri-colored locks before speaking, his Six Eyes still refusing to meet her brown.
"Back before I had known about Cursed Techniques, all I had was my Six Eyes. It wasn't very combat-applicable so I got bullied whenever I said I wanted to be a hero and this"
He swung his arms in a wide arc, motioning toward the entire park before continuing.
"Is where the bullying turned physical for the first time."
A gasp escaped the brunette's lips as her look of concern melded with one of horror.
"I-I'm sorry! We can go if you'd like…" A tight, warm, embrace killed her festering perturbation.
Ochako relaxed into the hug, wrapping her arms around the Sorcerer.
Eventually, Izuku spoke, resting his chin in his girlfriend's brown locks as he did so.
"You don't have to apologize, you didn't know about the bad memories attached to this park."
Silence befell the couple once more as Ochako tightened her grip, feverently searching for her next words.
Finally, she found them.
"I want to make as many good memories with you wherever you have bad ones, that way when you end up at a place like this park, you remember our time together and not the bad stuff."
Shock befell the Sorcerer as he slowly pulled apart from the brunette before speaking.
"You're…you're absolutely right."
With a swift motion, Izuku closed the already menial gap between them, capturing her lips in his.
"I had an amazing time today, Deku."
The couple stood outside Ochako's apartment, the sun behind them kissing the horizon, painting the sky in a vibrant orange, which in Izuku's humble opinion,
Made Ochako look even more radiant.
"Me too. I guess I'll uh…see you at school tomorrow."
The brunette nodded, her eyes downcast as she poured over the day in her mind.
Izuku turned about-face, raised his left leg,
And was immediately stopped by the brunette.
Turning again, the Sorcerer's Six Eyes locked on his girlfriend's arm, her hand wrapped around his wrist.
Shifting his gaze toward her own, desperate brown eyes pleaded with Izuku to do one thing and one thing only.
"Please, stay."
Raising his right hand, Izuku signaled the brunette to stay silent as he retrieved his phone and punched in a number.
The call was picked up immediately.
"Hey, Izu! Is everything alright?"
"Hi, Mom, everything is fine. I wanted to ask if I can stay the night at a…"
He shot a look toward Ochako, silently asking for help, the brunette only shrugging.
"…friends? house. I'll be back early enough to get ready for school in the morning."
The line went silent for a number of moments before Inko spoke once more.
"You can stay the night but Izu?"
"Yes, Mom?"
"Safe sex is great sex, better use that latex, cuz you don't want that late text, that "I'm late" text"
"I'm hanging up."
mermizle: Honestly disappointed he spoke up for mineta. That kid should have been expelled ASAP, same as Bakugo honestly. It's like they only care about mental issues at all except for Midoriya.
Ant: I think a lot of people in the MHA fandom really over-exaggerate Mineta's perverse tendencies. He's a horndog for sure but I promise you ANY kid his age is gonna be just as if not more horny and if they say they aren't then they're lying.
It especially pisses me off when niggas hype up Jiraiya and fawn over him but he's inarguably 10x worse.
Mineta doesn't have mental issues, he's a horny teenager going through puberty surrounded by attractive girls, and the only reason the other boys don't act in a similar way to him is because they aren't written realistically in terms of puberty/sexual drive (that's completely reasonable considering the story)
Long story short, stop playing on my boy Mineta name, word is bond!.
XLR8wuzhere: Gojo is a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, not Grade One.
Ant: I never said Gojo was Grade One, you just didn't read what I wrote correctly.
I said "The Grade One Sorcerer reached out a lethargic arm in an attempt to touch the visage"
This means Izuku (The Grade One Sorcerer) is reaching out to Gojo (The Visage).
Adammflatt: So while Nue is charging a BOLT of electricity the three jump in the water to swim away and none of the villians try to stop them now that nue cant use lighting without also zapping the three students?
Does not seem very plausible. Zapping the water and then swimming away would have been a much better move
Ant: I see what you're saying and it would've been a smart play to zap the water first.
Execept A, villains with water based quirks are more subceltible to the weaknesses of water meaning a bolt from Nue could've killed them.
And B, they're hired goons. None of them are gonna make a move on Izuku when there's a very real chance that he'd just commit murder suicide.
3headed-dragon: This was an awesome chapter. Gojo makes an appearance and motivates in a way only Gojo can and now Izuku has learned learned Blue. He has also gained the attention of Rumi, one of the most physically dominant combat heroes there is, so he's in for some good lessons and a lot of pain. I wonder if fighting with Rumi will force him the finally lean Reverse Cursed Technique simply because Rumi isn't going to hold back when training him and he'll need to fix himself if he wants to continue training.
Ant: Izuku won't be learning RCT during the internships BUT he will be learning something unique to him.
Sothniz: Did you alter chapter 3? I got an update notification for it
Ant: Yuh.
I'm ngl I just had field day, ran races and now I got a concussion, this chapter was NOT finna drop. I'm excited to write the internships cuz now I got ah outline.
Y'all know the deal say it w me,
WORD IS BONDDDDDD
