Hey, everyone. I'm still alive. I'm so sorry I haven't posted a new chapter in so long. Work takes a lot out of me, and I've also been going through some stuff. But, here's the newest chapter.

Indi groaned as he ran through the halls. So much for an uneventful first day of being in charge of the kingdom. His eyes widened in the darkening light.

"What did you expect, exactly?"

"What are you talking about?" Indi said as he rounded the corner.

"When has anything in your life gone smoothly?"

"Cuddling with Elsa."

"Point taken," Indominus said. Indi ran through the halls, and turned into a narrow hallway, before bursting into the kitchen. Several cooks were present.

"Sir Indi," one said, a portly young man who had red hair on his head a freckles on his cheeks. "What can we do for you?"

"I need a pot of hot water brought up to the infirmary," Indi said. "And some rags."

"Is everything alright with the queen?" a woman asked as she began pumping water into a pot.

"As far as I know," Indi said. "Lady Selova is giving birth."

Everyone's eyes widened, before they began moving with haste.

The pot was filled with water, and just as they were about to put it on the fire, Indi got an idea. "Give it to me. That'll take too long."

"But you said you wanted it hot," the woman said, a confused look on her face.

"I'll take care of that." Indi said. The young man handed him some rags, and Indi accepted them along with the pot. "Thank you." Indi wrapped the cloths around the handle and held them tight.

As Indi left, he heard the head cook say "Let us say a prayer for Lady Selova and her children."

He pressed on into the halls, where he opened a window. He stuck his head out and shouted "Stormfly!" After a moment, a chattering squawk sounded out, and the Deadly Nadder appeared by the window. "Fire, girl." The dragon stepped back, before thrusting her head forward, a blinding light flying from her jaws. As the fire hit the metal pot, Indi turned his head away to shield his eyes.

After a moment, the light died away. "Thanks, Stormfly." The dragon squawked once more, before flight off. As Indi pulled the pot in the window, he saw Heather approaching with a group of healers.

Indi wordlessly held up the now-boiling pot of water, and strode on, leading the group. As he led them back to the infirmary, the voice in his head starting the annoying prickling that had happened a few days ago. Indi shook his head, and the sensation ceased.

As the group entered the infirmary hallway, Selova cried out again. Indi opened the door with his foot, and strode in. Astrid picked up the bedside table and set it at the foot of the bed. Indi set the boiling water on the table, and stepped back.

The healers huddled around Lady Selova, comforting her. Indi caught Heather and Astrid's eyes and motioned for them to meet him outside the room. As the three left the room, Indi shut the door quietly.

Lady Selova cried out again.

"What is it, Indi?" Astrid asked.

"One of you needs to st-" he was cut off as the rest of the Dragon Riders rounded the corner.

"What's going on?" Snotlout said. "Something about a baby?"

With a glare, Indi jerked his hand back to point a thumb at the door behind him. On cue, a high pitched yell sounded out.

"Odin's ghost!" Fishlegs said as he paled in the candlelight. "Wait, that means…" The large Viking started to turn a light shade of green.

"Yeah, so be quiet!" Astrid said in a sharp whisper.

Indi huffed. "Fishlegs, go keep an eye on the children from Berbri. They should be sleeping, so they shouldn't be too much trouble."

"What do I do if they wake up?"

"Teach them about dragons." Heather said. The large male nodded, before walking away.

"Snotlout, you stand guard," Hiccup said.

"Why do I have to guard the door?"

"Because we need a big burly man to protect the vulnerable lady inside there."

Snotlout saluted, and moved to stand in front of the door, crossing his arms and puffing out his chest.

Astrid rolled her eyes.

"Hiccup, go back to court," Indi said. "I want a good relationship between Berk and Arendelle."

"But, what about-"

"We'll take care of it, Hiccup," Astrid said.

"Look, we were just attacked," Indi said, hold his hand out and pinching the air. "Now would be the perfect time for someone to sneak in, when we're all distracted. And, as acting ruler, I refuse to let that happen. Go get Toothless, and take him into the throne room. Stay near the back of the room."

"Alright," Hiccup said, before hesitantly moving off to get his Night Fury.

"Ruffnut, Tuffnut," Indi said. "I want you two on the roof with Barf and Belch. If anything suspicious happens, sound the alarm."

"What is the alarm?" Tuffnut asked.

"Be creative."

The twins grinned, before walking off.

"Heather," Indi said. "You need to go in there and help with anything the healers need. I imagine they'd appreciate some fire-heated water from Windshear." Heather nodded, and Snotlout stepped aside, allowing the raven-haired female to enter the room. Lady Selova cried out again.

As Indi walked off, Astrid fell into step next to him. As they walked, Indi nodded to a pair of servants that walked by.

"What are we doing?" Astrid asked.

"Astrid, you go down with Hiccup in the throne room."

"What are you gonna do?" the blonde female asked.

"I have some business to attend to."

Astrid glanced at him and nodded, before striding off. Indi watched as she left, the skirt of her dress swishing with each step. He watched for just a moment, mulling over his next move.

"You know this female won't take kindly to you being in the same room as her," Indominus said.

"I'm aware of that," Indi said aloud as he turned on his feel around a corner.

He saw a young male, perhaps a year or two older than him, sweeping the floors with a straw broom. "What room is Miss Dearing being held in?" he asked.

"Allow me to take you there, Sir Knight," the man said. Indi nodded and followed the man through the halls a short way, where he saw two soldiers standing guard outside of a door.

"She's in there, Sir," the man said. Indi thanked him, before striding forward.

The soldiers looked at the young knight. "I'm here to see Miss Dearing."

One nodded and opened the door. Indi stepped inside quietly. As the door shut quietly, he saw Dearing sitting at a desk, reading a book. She wore a simple dress, the fabric green in color.

As Indi folded his hands, Dearing huffed, not looking up from her book. "I told you, I do not need help bathing." She half turned her head. "Why don't you understand tha-" She stopped herself, gaping at Indi. The young knight folded his hands behind his back.

"The servant girls are merely trying to help," Indi said. As he took a step forward, Dearing leaped from her chair, her eyes widening in fright.

"You stay away from me," Dearing said, her voice quivering.

"Relax," Indi said. "I came here for information."

"I'm not telling you anything," Dearing said.

"Fine," Indi said. "Then let me tell you what Von Schwicke has done."

"I know what he does," Dearing said. "He wants to create a safer world, a world without wars, without needless strife. He uses his creations to reduce conflict. You rebelled against him. You went rogue."

"You think that's what he wants?" Indi said as he strode forward. Dearing backpedalled. "He's inciting wars. He wants to take over as much land as he can, as many people as he can. He wants to make weapons.

"He killed my mother. He wants me dead."

"And how many people have you killed?!" Dearing shouted.

"I've killed enough," Indi said firmly. "Hopefully enough for him to know that I am not to be toyed with."

"He thinks you're dead," Dearing said matter-of-factly.

"I might be, but my friends are not. Understand this: if I'm dead, my friends will carry on the fight." Indi turned to leave. "If you ever feel like sharing more information, come see me." He walked out of the room. He turned to the guards as he shut the door.

"If Miss Dearing wants to talk to me, bring her to me at once."

The guards nodded. "Of course, Sir Indi."

Indi nodded, bidding the guards goodnight, before walking down the dark hallway.

He glanced around, and saw that no one was near.

"That could have went worse," Indominus said. "Let us go hunt. You know we need to go soon."

"No," Indi said. "I'm not going hunting."

"You've gotten soft in your disability," Indominus said.

Indi rounded a corner, and strode down the stairs. He crept out of the castle through a side door, and strode along the soft grass. The moon shone brightly overhead. The sound of people talking caught his attention mildly, but he paid them no mind. Sleuther glided down from the castle roof, and landed lightly in front of Indi. The young knight smiled, and rubbed the dragon's flank. Indi climbed onto the dragon's back, and took notice that Sleuther was not wearing a saddle. Indi paid it no mind, as it had been a while since he rode bareback, and the saddle was more for riding for a while. He'd be fine for a short flight.

As Sleuther spread his wings, Indi hung on as his dragon spread his wings. Sleuther flapped gently, getting airborne. As they flew, Indi leaned back, closing his eyes and breathing out a sigh. The wind blowing through his hair and across his face had a soothing effect, lulling him into a peaceful state of mind.

He felt Sleuther angle downwards. He opened his eyes to see that they were over the town. As Sleuther landed, Indi sat up and saw that Sleuther had landed in front of the nobles that were visiting from Corona.

Indi looked down from his spot on the dragon, who looked back at his rider.

"Really, Sleuther?"

The dragon rumbled in response.

Indi rolled his eyes, before turning to the nobles. "My Lord, my Lady."

"Sir Indi," Lord Dalhurst said.

"I suppose Sleuther wanted to meet you."

"You didn't control him to come down here?" Lady Dalhurst asked, worry clear in her voice.

"I did not, no," Indi said as he dismounted. "I don't ever truly control him. I can guide him during flights, and it's especially important in battles. But, in daily life, I let him do what he wishes. We have a mutual understanding." Indi glanced over and took note of the group of soldiers motioning towards him and the dragon. "Especially considering what he had gone through before I found him."

"What was that like?" Lady Dalhurst said.

"He was being used in dragon gladiatorial fights, being forced to fight against other dragons." Indi rubbed the dragon's head, Sleuther dipping his head and closing his eyes. "We rescued him and the other dragons."

"Where did the other dragons go?" asked Lord Dalhurst.

"I do not know," Indi said, placing up at the moon. "We set them free to go where they wish."

Lord Dalhurst shook his head, looking at the Triple Stryke. "I still have a hard time believing that such beasts can be tamed."

"He's not tamed in the way that a dog is," Indi said. "Won't you walk with me? I'd like to teach you some things."

Lord Dalhurst nodded, and he and his wife fell into step next to Indi. Sleuther walked slightly behind Indi and to his left.

"Dragons are not just mindless beasts. They know that, once acclimated to being around people, that they don't need to attack us. They just want food, a safe place to sleep, to make baby dragons, and to have a companion or two."

"But, what about the stories of dragons harming villages, or carrying away maidens?" Lord Dalhurst said.

Indi had to suppress a laugh, but he let his humor seep into his voice. "To my knowledge, most dragons don't attack humans, and most try to avoid them. Those that do attack are relatively rare, and I would think that those that do are desperate for food or living space."

After a moment of silence, Indi saw Sleuther look to the sky. He stopped. "What is it, Sleuther?" Sleuther roared, and ducked his head.

"There's been a development," Indominus said, the voice echoing.

Indi's eyes widened. "I have to go," he said, before climbing onto Sleuther's back. "Come find me when you can. I'll teach you some more about dragons if you like."

Lord Dalhurst nodded, and Indi shouted "Go, Sleuther!" The dragon roared, and stretched his wings upwards, before flapping with strong downstroke.

Indi hung onto the dragon with his knees, urging the dragon to go faster. They landed at the castle after a moment. Indi leaped from his dragon's back and ran inside. As he strode through the halls with a quick purpose, his senses primed.

Suddenly, the sound of wailing sounded through the halls of the castle. His eyes widened, and he ran through the halls, towards the sound.

As he darted through a doorway, he entered the infirmary, he saw Snotlout still standing in the doorway. The young man looked pale, and Indi nodded.

"Well, that's one right?"

Snotlout nodded.

Indi strode down the hall, and gently entered the room where Elsa was sleeping. He shut the door quietly, and looked over at Elsa. The queen was stirring from her sleep. Her eyes opened slowly, taking in the room. She smiled when her gaze landed on Indi. The knight smiled and walked over quietly. As he reached the bed, Elsa made room for him. Indi, accepting the silent invitation, lay on his side next to Elsa.

"How was your first day looking after my kingdom, love?"

"Exhausting," Indi said.

"What's that noise?" Elsa asked.

"Lady Selova is giving birth," Indi said. "There's currently one new child."

"Isn't court supposed to be happening around this time?"

"Yes," Indi said. "Queen Primrose is taking care of that for us tonight."

"That's kind of her," Elsa said.

Indi leaned over and planted a gentle kiss on Elsa's cheek. "I also got the stuff from that merchant ship, and I've picked out a place for the Ceratosaurus paddock."

"What about receiving the nobles from Corona?" Elsa asked.

"That went well," Indi said. "Though they seem outright terrified of dragons."

Elsa chuckled. "Come, you've had a long day. Sleep. I'll wake you in the morning." Indi nodded, before kicking off his shoes and settling down next to Elsa. He kay on top of the sheets, while she lay beneath them. He put an arm across Elsa's stomach, and the queen put her arm around Indi, pulling him close. Indi burried his face into Elsa's neck, and breathed out a sigh. Elsa kissed Indi's forehead, and settled back to sleep.

Indi woke to someone was knocking on the door loudly. He groaned, and was tempted to through a shoe at the door.

Elsa sat up, removing herself from Indi's arms. "Come in."

A woman stepped inside and bowed, before speaking softly. "I apologise for interrupting, Your Majesty."

"It's alright, Marget," Elsa said in a normal volume. "You may speak normally. Sir Indi is simply feigning sleep."

"As you wish, Your Majesty," Marget said in a normal tone.

Indi cracked an eye to glare up at Elsa from his spot on the pillow. The queen smiled softly, and placed a hand on Indi's back, rubbing him gently.

"I've come to see if you are ready for your tea before breakfast, Your Majesty," Marget said.

"Yes, I am ready for tea." Marget nodded and bowed, before leaving. Elsa turned to Indi, who was looking up at her with tired but happy eyes.

"Good morning," Indi said as he sat up.

"Good morning, love," Elsa said. "Are you going to spend breakfast with me, or do you have other plans?"

"I was thinking about going to have breakfast with the Dragon Riders," Indi said. He paused, before speaking. "If that's alright with you."

"Go ahead," Elsa said as she put an arm around Indi's back. "Will you come visit me for lunch?"

"I'll do my best," Indi said, as he leaned to rest his head on Elsa's shoulder. "Do you have any plans for me today? Any nobles to receive?"

"Not specifically, no," Elsa said. "Just go around, and keep order."

"Alright," Indi said. He swung his legs over the side of the bed. As he stood, his knees creaked. He turned his head to look at Elsa. He grabbed his shirt from the chair that sat beside Elsa's bed and slid it on. He looked her up and down, before leaning over to plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. "I'll be back."

"I'll be waiting," Elsa said. Indi smiled, before walking out of the room. He strode through the halls to his room. As he shut the door, he looked in the mirror.

"We need to hunt," Indominus said, the voice growling. "You know that we cannot keep this domesticated life. We are a hunter, a carnivore, and we will hunt."

Indi sighed. "I'll see what's going on tonight."

"We will make time," the voice said, before going silent.

Indi shook his head, before walking over to the wash basin. He poured some water into the large bowl, and splashed the water onto his face. He rubbed his skin, the water making his face and arms slick.

He turned to the wardrobe and chose an outfit. The trousers were black, and the shirt was white. The overcoat was a dark green with gold-colored buttons. Indi examined them for a moment before grunting softly; he had no idea if it was real gold or not.

As he removed his clothes and shoes, he tilted his head as footsteps came up the hall. He quickly located his shield, which was where he left it: sitting upright in the corner. As he slid on the trousers, he heard a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" he called.

"It's Astrid," a feminine voice said. "We were wondering if you would be joining us for breakfast."

"Yeah," Indi said.

"Can I come in?" Astrid's voice said.

"If you feel you need to," Indi said. "The door is unlocked." As the door opened, Indi glanced over. He saw Astrid wearing the attire of the people of Berk.

His eyes must have widened unconsciously, because Astrid spoke. "That's what we wanted to talk to you about."

As he bent over to pick up the white shirt, he looked at Astrid, whose eyes averted back to his. This enticed a smirk from Indi as he stood up, and slid his arms into getting sleeves of the shirt. As he did up the buttons, he looked at the blonde female.

"You're leaving?"

Astrid glanced down. "We were thinking about it."

Indi was silent for a moment. "Okay." As he slid on the overcoat. He sat on the bed, and slid his feet into the hard-leather shoes.

"Is that all you have to say?" Astrid said, crossing her arms.

Indi sighed as he finished tightening the laces on his shoes. "I have a lot to say, actually, too much to put into words."

"Then say something," Astrid said.

"Relax," Indi said as stood, before placing a placating hand on the shield maiden's metal shoulder pad. "I will say everything that needs to be said." He glanced over at his shield. "Come. Let's go eat."

Indi picked up his shield, and walked out of his room, leading Astrid. As he walked, Indi strapped his shield to his back. He nodded to the servants they passed, taking note of how they glanced at Astrid's attire.
The pair walked silently, almost like a scene out of one of those fairy tales that Elsa told him about. A Viking shieldmaiden and a domesticated warrior.
As they came to the dining hall, the pair of guards stationed there opened the doors. Indi nodded to them and led Astrid inside. Sitting at the table were the rest of the Dragon Riders, and all of them were wearing their traditional Viking outfits.
Indi strode over and sat at the head of the table. "So, Hiccup, what's this I hear about you leaving me?"
"We wanted to talk to you about that," Hiccup said. "We've enjoyed our time here in Arendelle, but we need to go back."
"I know what you mean," Indi said. "There aren't many dragon hunters here. So, when were you planning on leaving?"

"Later today," the young Viking heir said.

Indi pursed his lips in thought for a moment. "Would you all be able to help me with something before you leave?"

"Sure," Astrid said.

"What is it?" Heather said.

Indi smirked.

"Are you sure about this?" Fishlegs yelled from his Gronkle's back.

"Pretty sure," Indi said as he sat on Sleuther's back. "Alright, open the gates!"

The soldiers nodded and heaved the gates open. The gates were thrown open even more as the Ceratosaurus charged out, its mouth wide open in a roar that displayed it sharp teeth.

"Hey, hey!" Indi shouted. "Come on!" The Ceratosaurus roared up at Indi, and the young knight tossed down a lump of raw meat. The Ceratosaurus had not eaten yet, and this sudden present seemed rather delectable.

As the animal ducked its head down to snap up the meat, the food moved away. Indi tapped Sleuther's side, and the dragon flew on slowly. Indi hung onto the rope that was connected to the meat, and made sure Sleuther did not fly to quickly. The Ceratosaurus roared in frustration, and charges at the meat, it's head low. "Go, Sleuther!" The dragon started to fly a little faster, and Indi pulled the meat along, leading the red-headed dinosaur through the town. Indi quickly looked around to make sure there were no people in the streets.

Pleased to find none, he urged Sleuther onwards. As they exited the town, he led the Ceratosaurus along a dirt path, and towards a large wooden fence. The gates were wide open. Indi looked back and saw that the dinosaur was tiring. He slowed Sleuther's flight a bit, and had the dragon fly over the entrance to the paddock, where Indi dropped the meat. The Ceratosaurus strode inside the fence, before snapping up the hunk of flesh with its fangs.

And the gates were pushed shut, Sleuther turned back and landed outside the fence.

"Thanks, guys," Indi said as he dismounted from Sleuther's back.

"Are you going to be okay?" Hiccup asked.

"I should be," Indi said. "You guys have your fight going. I have mine."

"If you need any help, you know how to reach us," Astrid said.

Indi nodded, before setting a hand on Sleuther's back. "Meet me in the courtyard in a few minutes. I'll see you off there." He climbed up into the saddle. "Let's go, Sleuther."

The dragon roared, before flapping his wings strongly, taking flight. As the dragon leveled out, Indi looked out at the ocean. The calm waters of the fjord lapped at the sides of the ships moored in the harbor. After the short flight back to the castle, Sleuther landed gently. As Indi dismounted, he set a hand in the back of his dragon's neck.

"Stay here, Sleuther," Indi said. "I'll be right back." The Triple Stryke snorted, and Indi strode into the castle.

As he walked, his feet clicked on the floor. He saw a servant, and strode up to her. The woman was quite a bit older than Elsa, and had brown hair, with a few faint streaks of grey appearing.

"Sir Indi," she said with a curtsey.

"Please fetch me the royal family of Corona," Indi said. "Have them go to the courtyard at once."

"Of course, Sir Indi," the woman said. Indi nodded, and the woman curtsied once more, before walking away with faint steps.

Indi pressed on, and climbed the stairs. He moved down the hall to the infirmary. As he came to the room where Elsa was, he saw the door was slightly open. He crept up silently, and peeked inside.

Elsa was having the dressings on the side of her head changed by a pair of servants, one a woman with brown hair, the other a man with short blonde hair, almost the color of straw.

Indi gently pushed the door open and knocked with a single finger. "Dear, the Dragon Riders are preparing to leave."

"Come here, Sir Indi," Elsa said. Indi moved out of the doorway, and kneeled down next to Elsa. "Will you be going with them?"

Indi turned his head to look out of the window. "No. I'm staying here. At least for the time being." He turned to face the queen, and saw relief flood her eyes. "I was wondering if you'd like to see them off with me."

"I will," Elsa said. "Just let us finish here and I'll get presentable."

Indi nodded, and rose. As he turned to leave, he stopped, before turning back to the queen. He bent over and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. He smiled, before leaving.

Elsa looked over at the servants attending her, who averted their gaze.

Indi strode through the halls, whistling a slow tune. As he made his way into the throne room, he discovered Copal and Emerald sleeping, the two young dragons curled up at the foot of Elsa's throne. Indi smiled, and walked over to the dragons, kneeling down between them. He rubbed Copal's head, her amber eyes opening heavily. She gave a soft burbling call in greeting. This woke Emerald, who stretched herself awake, her wings extending upwards, and her jaws widening in a yawn. Indi rubbed the head of the green-eyed dragon.

He felt someone walk into the room, and he looked over to see the royal family from Corona. He rose to greet them. "Greetings, Your Majesties."

"Hello, Sir Indi," Queen Primrose said.

"Queen Primrose, I'd like to thank you for supervising court last night. Things got overly hectic…"

"I'm happy to help out my niece," Queen Primrose said. "Though I'd like to seek an audience with you."

"You'd like to seek an audience with me?" Indi said.

"This is unorthodox, I'm aware," the queen said, lowering her voice. "but there are things I've been made aware of that I think you should be made privy to."

"I'll send for you after lunch," Indi said. Queen Primrose nodded. "Won't you follow me? I need to see the Dragon Riders off. They are leaving to go back home."

Elsa strode out of her room, having washed. She wore a simple yet elegant gown, the fabric green in color. A small amount of white lace donned the bodice. A small diamond necklace hung from her neck. She fixed the crown that sat atop her head. Her hair was braided and bound in a bun behind her head.

Her handmaidens attempted to style Elsa's hair in a way that would cover her bandages, but Elsa instructed them to not bother; she would bear her wounds with honor.

As she walked through the halls of her home, she noted the distinct lack of people.

Elsa walked down the staircase and made her way to the courtyard.

As the guards stationed at the doors bowed, one slipped through the doors. On the other side, she heard his voice say "Presenting Her Majesty, Queen Elsa of Arendelle." The remaining guard opened the doors, and Elsa stepped through into the mid-morning sun.

Standing in the middle of the courtyard, she saw the visiting nobles from Corona, Indi, and the Dragon Riders of Berk, who stood in front of their dragons. She strode forward, and all who were present bowed. "Lord Hiccup," she said.

"Yes, Your Majesty?" the Viking heir said.

"Sir Indi tells me that you are leaving my kingdom."

"Yes, Your Majesty," Hiccup said. "As long as we are here, more dragons are captured and killed. We feel we should leave so that we can stop the Dragon Hunters."

"There is no need to explain yourself, Lord Hiccup," Elsa said. "I trust you wouldn't leave without a good reason, though I appreciate you waiting for me to come see you off.

"I'd like to thank you for helping defend my kingdom. You, your friends, and your dragons are always welcome in my kingdom and in my castle. Should you need anything from me or my kingdom, send a message, and if I can organize help, I shall. You have my word."

"Thank you, Queen Elsa," Hiccup said, tipping his head. "And should you ever need our help, you and Sir Indi know where to find us." The young Viking turned to his comrades. "Alright, gang, mount up. We have a long flight ahead of us."

As Hiccup swung his leg over Toothless, settling down into the saddle, his prosthetic leg clicked into the Night Fury's harness. "Perhaps, Queen Elsa, you'd like to come visit Berk."

"I'd like that," Elsa said. Hiccup smiled, and Toothless extended his wings upward, before taking flight. As the Dragon Riders took flight on their mounts, Indi put a hand around Elsa's waist, gently pulling her close. He waved as his friends flew away, disappearing into the sky. They watched in silence as the dragons disappeared through a cloud, where they faded from view altogether.
