Elsa sat back in her bed, reading over the copies of the manuscripts that Hiccup Haddock had left her that detailed the basics of dragons and caring for them. She glanced down at Yeager, whom was found wandering the halls of the castle and delivered to her immediately. He was curled up at Elsa's feet, the fluffy little creature napping.

The healers had decided that she was stable enough to move back into the Queen's bedroom, and Elsa was more than happy to do so. She enjoyed her room, and she found that it eased her mind.

Her head started to pain her once more, the ache seeming to be slightly worse than before. She set the papers aside, placing them in a neat stack on the nightstand that stood next to her bed. As she settled down for some rest, Elsa gave Yeager a gentle pat on the head.

Indi sat behind Elsa's desk, tapping his fingers with anticipation. He had just sent for Queen Primrose, and was anxious to hear what she wanted to speak with him about. Indi noted that the situation was rather unorthodox; usually, the royal would send for the person of lower standing, but in this case, the knight was sending for a queen. It was odd, certainly.

Just as he glanced out the window, the door opened. In came one of the handmaidens that had been assigned to the visiting royal. She said "Presenting Her Majesty, Queen Primrose of Corona." The young woman stepped aside, and let the visiting royal enter. Indi rose from his seat, and bowed. "Queen Primrose."

"Sir Indi," she said.

"Please, take a seat," Indi said. The queen sat in a chair that was on the opposite side of the desk from Indi. "What did you wish to discuss with me?"

"I've been informed of some unsavory rumors in the kingdom concerning you and my niece, Queen Elsa." Indi's eyes widened as he clenched his fist. He had to suppress a growl. "As I thought; they aren't true, are they?"

"No," Indi said. "Do you know know who could have spread these rumors?"

"I do not," Primrose said. "Elsa said that her maid Marget informed her."

Indi's brow scowled in thought. "I don't really care what people think about me, and so far that's served me well. But Elsa does not have such a luxury."

"We royals generally don't, no."

"I'll do some investigating," Indi said decidedly. "See what I can find out."

"Is there someone you can trust?" Primrose asked. "Someone who can get into places where these rumors may be getting spread, and do it without too much attention."

Indi thought for a moment, before jerking his head in a single nod.

As Primrose stood, Indi rose with her. He rounded the desk, straightening his vest. He opened the door for the queen. "Thank you for informing me of this matter, Queen Primrose. I'll look into it thusly."

"Thank you, Sir Indi," Queen Primrose said. Indi nodded, and followed the queen out. As he shut the door behind himself, he watched out of the corner of his eye as Primrose's handmaiden came up to the royal. Indi made up his mind and nodded to the queen as he left.

He strode along through the castle, his brow furrowing into a slight scowl. He fixed his vest, and turned to one of servants in the area.

"Fetch my jacket from my room," he said. "I'll be on my way to the courtyard."

"Yes, my Lord," the woman with a bow, before scurrying off.

Great, Indi thought to himself. I've become domesticated.

"To a point," the voice said. "You remember our fight against the hunters."

"It did feel good," Indi said lowly as he turned, descending down the stairs.

"Let us be off," Indominus said. "May we hunt again shortly."

Indi saw the servant woman approaching him, and held out his arm. He accepted the jacket, and slid his arms into the sleeves. As he opened the doors from, he stepped out into the courtyard. He saw many people milling about, now that the gates were open once again and no dangerous carnivores being held there.

As he took a breath, he strode out, holding his head high. People parted, making way for him.

"Sir Indi, is everything alright?" a woman wearing a plain blue dress asked as she held her son's hand.

"If they aren't, they will be shortly," Indi said.

A roar sounded from the roof of the castle. Indi looked up and saw Sleuther stretch his wings out and pushing off, before gliding down to the courtyard. He landed with a gentle thump in front of Indi.

"Hey, Sleuther," Indi said as the dragon walked over. He met the dragon halfway, and rubbed him on the head. Sleuther ducked his head, and Indi gave a soft smile. "Not right now, buddy." He heaved out a sigh, patting the dragon's flank. "Later... I promise."

The dragon shrugged, before stretching his wings upwards. He flapped once, shooting up into the air, before making the short flight back to his spot on the castle roof.

Indi strode through the gates, his heels clicking on the flat cobblestones. He walked into the town, and looked around. Picking a direction, he made his way in the direction of the pub, the only one in the town.

As he made his way into the building, he jumped up onto the deck, skipping the wooden stairs. His feet thumped on the planks. As he entered, he saw Brynn at the bar, who was conversing with other guards. Indi strode up to her.

"Ah, praised be he, Sir Indi Rex, Rider of Dragons!" the young woman exclaimed, raising her glass. "Come to associate with us commoners, have you?"

"Shut up, Brynn," Indi said dryly.

Brynn jerked her head to the side, and her companions left. She raised a hand, getting the bartender's attention, before tossing a coin onto the bar. The man behind the counter nodded, and took the coin. He placed two small cups onto the bar, and produced a bottle, before pouring the liquid into the small vessels. Brynn nodded and with a single finger, slid a cup over to Indi. Indi picked up the cup.

"To Her Majesty's good health," Brynn said, lifting her cup up. Indi nodded and the pair clicked their glasses together. In unison, the pair raised the glasses to their lips and tilted their head back.

Indi felt the burning alcohol slide down his throat. He only just managed to suppress a cough.

"You've been here for how long, and you're still not a drinker?" Brynn asked with a chuckle.

"Not of whiskey," Indi said. "Regardless of whether I drink alcohol or not, I'm here on official business." Brynn's eyebrows went up slightly. "Yes, this concerns you." Indi set his glass down. "Walk with me." Brynn set her glass down on the bar next to Indi's, and followed the young knight from the building.

As they walked, Indi looked around discreetly, before speaking quietly.

"I've been informed of some rumors."

"What sort of rumors?" Brynn asked.

"To quote Queen Primrose, the 'unsavory' kind," Indi said. "The kind about me and Elsa…"

"You don't really care about that, do you?" Brynn asked.

"No, but Elsa does. Surely you've noticed the culture and religious views of the people in Arendelle."

"I have."

"And that's my point. People have been talking. I don't even know how people found out."

"Found out about wha-" Brynn stopped herself. "Did you two…" She made a suggestive gesture, though she thankfully kept it subtle.

"No," Indi said. "Elsa wouldn't even allow it, and I've been too tired to even consider it. Not to mention she's in no state to do that, anyway."

"Well then, what would there be to find out?"

Indi lowered his voice. "We've been sleeping together."

"I thought you said-"

Indi interrupted her. "We haven't. We've been sleeping. Nothing more."

Brynn was silent for a moment. "That was rather stupid of you. You know full well how people love to talk."

"Yes, I know," Indi said, mentally kicking himself. "But that's part of why I came to you."

Brynn set her jaw. "What do you need me to do?"

"I need you to keep an ear out. See if you can find these rumors and who's been spreading them." Brynn nodded, Indi clapped a hand on her shoulder. "Thank you. Come to me," he pointed a finger at her "as soon as you find something of significance."

Indi released his friend and watched as she went back to her duties.

He watched her depart for a moment, before pressing on. He picked up his pace to a brisk walk. He passed by the baker's shop, where inside breads, cakes, and other delicacies were made. The out of a window that was slightly ajar wafted the aromas of fresh-baked bread.

Indi strode through the streets, wandering aimlessly. As he walked, he came upon a small building, only the size of a small house. At the top of the building sat a small steeple, where an iron bell hung. A rope that hung from the bell swung lazily in the breeze. He heard a skreiking roar and looked towards the sky. Two white dragons, about the size of large dogs, were diving towards him. Copal and Emerald landed in front of the knight, their large, bright eyes gleaming.

"Hey, girls," he said. He knelt down and rubbed the sides of their heads. The dragons closed their eyes in contentment. The sound of chattering children garnered the attention of the dragons and their pack leader. He stood as the children exited the building and thundred down the wooden steps.

"Sir Indi Rex?" a woman appeared at the top of the steps of the schoolhouse. Indi stood tall as the children parted, allowing their teacher to approach the knight. The woman stopped a meter away and curtsied. "To what do we owe the pleasure of your visit?" The woman was considerably shorter than Indi; perhaps two heads shorter.

Indi glanced at the children, who were watching him with wide eyes. "I was wandering about, trying to clear my head after a meeting with Queen Primrose, and I… ended up here, I guess." Indi gave the woman a once-over. She had brown hair, which was tied up in a bun and a deep blue dress covered her body. A white shawl was draped over her shoulders. She carried a bag, the strap going through her left hand. Indi noticed the corner of a rebellious piece of paper poking out of the bag.

The woman turned to her students. "You all run along home now." Some of the children nodded, and slowly made their way onwards.

"I don't believe I caught your name, Miss," Indi said.

"Elizabeth Anker," the woman said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Anker," Indi said.

"My Lord," Anker said. "Would you care to join me for tea?"

"I'm afraid I have to decline," Indi said, noting the slight disappointment in Anker's eyes. "I really must be getting on. I have more to do today."

"I understand," Anker said.

"I'll try to stop by sometime though. Perhaps on a day where I don't have so much to do."

"Very well. Farewell, Sir Indi."

Indi nodded, before pressing on. "C'mon girls." He whistled, and the the Indominus Furies followed after.

As he walked on, came to the square in the center of Arendelle, where a fountain sat, the sculpture spewing water. Indi leaned against a lamppost, and sank back.

"Tonight, we'll hunt."

"We'll see," Indi said.

Looking towards the harbor, Indi saw a new ship coming in.

Tilting his head, he thought for a moment, before shrugged, he pursed his lips, before making a sharp tune. He tipped his head back, and looked up to the overcast sky. After a moment, he saw the familiar shape of a Triple Stryke glide overhead, before landing gently in front of Indi. "Hey, Sleuther." Indi climbed up onto the dragon's back. "Take me to the docks, buddy."

Sleuther extended his wings upwards, and gently flapped. Indi set his hands on Sleuther's horns, steadying himself. As they rose higher, Indi took a deep breath, letting the air out slowly. The young Indominus Furies glides into the air next the the knight and the Triple Stryke. As the dragon beneath Indi adjusted his wings, Indi looked down, where he saw people looking up and pointing at them. Indi gave a friendly wave, before feeling Sleuther angle his body into a slight dive. He slightly tightened his hands on Sleuther's horns as hey approached the ground. As Sleuther turned his body upwards, he spread his wings, slowing the descent. As the pair touched with a light thud, Copal and Emerald glided down with little grace, their landings taking more space as they ran a bit after their feet touched the ground.

As Indi dismounted from Sleuther, he straightened his jacket and the vest beneath it.

He smoothed out his hair, and looked around. He immediately noticed a small family coming down the gangplank. He smiled and took a step in their direction. They wore plain clothes, the fabric mostly black.

Unfortunately, he was not the only one to notice the family. Another man approached them, and Indi recognized him immediately: Theodore Weldon, the butcher. He immediately started yelling at the family. The man in black seemed to be trying to act friendly and diffuse the situation, but Weldon was not having it. Indi made up his mind and motioned towards Weldon, giving a low whistle. Copal and Emerald locked their gaze on the man, and advanced.

"Weldon!" Indi shouted. The man turned immediately to the voice, and, small stuttering growls coming from their throats, the Indominus Furies got between the angry butcher and the family. Weldon promptly produced a meat cleaver, the blade stained with blood. "Sleuther."

The Triple Stryke strode up behind the Indominus Furies and swung his braided tails over his head, aiming the trio of stingers at the man, the weapons clacking.

"Don't be unwise, Weldon," Indi said as he strode over.

"Sir Indi, send these people back onto the ship!" Weldon said angrily.

Indi turned to give the family a once-over. The woman had her hair covered in what looked to be a black bonnet, and the man had a black hat on. The child that accompanied the two adults had a small circle of fabric on his head. The woman gently pushed the child behind her. Indi cocked his head at the somewhat odd attire, but thought it of little importance. "I will do no such thing."

Weldon seemed to grow red in the face. "But they're Jews!"

"I frankly don't give a dragon's claw what or who they are," Indi said, motioning for Sleuther to stand down. The dragon lowered his tail and took a few steps back. "And on my watch, no one will tarnish the hospitality of Arendelle, especially you." Weldon started to sputter in anger. "Go home, before you do something rash."

The butcher growled under his breath, before stomping off. Indi watched for a moment, before turning to the two white dragons that were watching the man intently. He rubbed their heads gently. "Good girls. Stand down." Copal and Emerald visibly relaxed, before striding off a short ways.

Indi stood tall and faced the family.

The man spoke first. "We're terribly sorry. We did not intend to cause a scene."

Indi smiled, giving a small, light-hearted snort. "Pay Weldon no mind. I've been wanting to do that for some time. He's been a particular thorn in my side for a while now." Indi suppressed a chuckle. "Welcome to Arendelle. I'm Sir Indi Rex. And these are my dragons: Copal, Emerald, and Sleuther." He motioned to each dragon respectively.

"I'm Jacob Friedman," the man said. "This is my wife Ezra and my son Isaac."

"It's a pleasure to meet you all," Indi said as he tipped his head.

Sleuther roared, getting Indi's attention. "What is it, boy?" The dragon motioned towards the castle. Indi furrowed his brow for a moment, before recalling what he had to do. "Thank you, Sleuther." He turned back to the Friedmans. "If you'll excuse me, I have to go. Court is in a little while, and I can't shirk my duties."

"We understand," Jacob Friedman said.

"If you should need me for anything, keep an eye out for my friend Brynn Tyrannus, one of our guards. You won't be able to miss her. She'll be able to get me easily." Indi climbed into Sleuther's back with a small groan.

"Thank you, Sir Indi."

Indi nodded as Sleuther rose to his feet. "You're very welcome, and welcome to Arendelle." Sleuther extended his wings, and flapped, sending them into the air. Indi looked on either side of his and saw the two smaller white dragons on either side of him. As Sleuther leveled out his flight path, Indi leaned back, feeling the air rush around him, hearing it whistle in his ears. After a few minutes, of slow flight, Sleuther landed in the courtyard. "Thank you, Sleuther," Indi said as he dismounted, rubbing the dragon's head. The dragon rumbled, before taking flight once more, gliding up to the roof of the castle, where he settled down, during his tail around his body.

Indi pursed his lips, before opening the castle doors, allowing his Indominus Furies to enter before he did.

As the trio walked through the halls, Indi had a slight craving for a beverage. He entered the throne room, and strode up to the ornate chair. He ran a finger across it.

He saw a servant nearby and hailed her over. "Please bring some tea up to Queen Elsa's room."

"Of course, Sir Indi," the woman said, before walking off.

Indi turned to see Copal and Emerald curling around each other in a corner behind the Queen's throne, settling down. He smiled, before walking off. He went through the castle, climbing a flight of stairs, before making his way through the halls to Elsa's room. He knocked gently. After getting no answer, he knocked once more.

"Who is it?" a voice said.

"Indi."

He heard a faint yawn. "Come in."

Indi gently opened the door and entered the room. He saw Elsa start to sit up in bed. The sheets fell from her body as she rose, revealing a purple silk nightgown. Indi smiled softly and walked over. As he approached the bed, he set a hand on Elsa's cheek, before bending over to place a kiss on her head.

"Hello, Indi," Elsa said. "How is the day going?"

"Alright," Indi said as he dragged his fingertips from Elsa's cheek, before sitting on her bed. He took one of the queen's hands in his. "I've been getting around."

"Isn't court soon?"

"It is, and yes, I'll be attending," Indi said. "But I thought I'd take some time to come visit you."

"You're sweet." Elsa leaned forward and placed a kiss on Indi's cheek. "Anything interesting happen?"

"Not really," Indi said. "I already miss the Riders…" He leaned over and set his head on Elsa's chest, breathing out a sigh.

"I know," Elsa said as she set her chin on the young male's head. "You seemed happiest with them." She stroked her fingers through Indi's hair.

"I'm happiest with you," Indi said as he wrapped his arms around Elsa's torso and closed his eyes, listening to Elsa's heartbeat. "But I did like spending that time up there with them."

Elsa paused her stroking of Indi's hair for a moment, before resuming. She knew Indi liked the Dragon Riders, whether it was the warrior lifestyle or who they were as people… it was likely a combination of the two factors. Indi was never fond of the formalities of his position, though he bore them with notable grace, if it was clearly forced at times. He clearly would much rather be on his own, possibly for days at a time, riding Sleuther or running with dinosaurs.

Elsa tipped her head down kissed Indi's head. "I want to thank you for taking over for me, Indi."

Indi raised his head to look at Elsa's face. "I'm happy to." He placed a peck on Elsa's small nose.

"I'll try to do some more work tomorrow."

"Only if you're feeling better," Indi said. "You take the time you need to heal. I can take care of things."

"Thank you, Indi." Elsa breathed in. "Have you been drinking?"

"Brynn bought me a whiskey," Indi said. Elsa's eyes were slightly accusational. "I don't like it. It'd be better used as fuel."

Elsa laughed lightly, rubbing Indi's back.

A knock on the door sounded into the room. Indi rose from Elsa, his hand trailing along her arm.

"Come in," the queen said. In walked a couple of servants carrying a silver tea set.

Indi discreetly reached over and took Elsa's hand.

As the servants set the tea set on Elsa's bedside table, Indi squeezed her hand gently, and Elsa returned the gesture.

The servants left quickly, and Indi picked up the teapot. He gently poured the tea into each of the associated cups.

"Well, aren't you quite the gentleman?" Elsa said.

"You've trained me well," Indi said as he set the teapot down. "Cream or sugar?"

"Both, please."

Indi nodded and put in two small scoops of the sugar into Elsa's tea, before stirring. He set the spoon aside, and picked up a small pitcher. He poured a small amount of cream into Elsa's tea. As he set the pitcher down, his picked up the spoon once more, and stirred, the beverage lightening in color from the cream. As the tea settled, he tapped the spoon on the side of the cup, removing any drips.

As he set the spoon down, he picked up the cup, supporting it with the small saucer that was beneath it. Elsa reached out, and gently received the drink.

As Indi turned to his own tea, he spoke. "I ran into Theodore Weldon, the butcher, today."

"Oh," Elsa said as she lifted the cup to her lips.

"Yes," Indi said as he added two small scoops of sugar to his tea. "He was harassing a family who had just disembarked from a ship, trying to send them back."

Elsa lowered the cup from her lips, which formed into a small frown. "Why was he doing this?" Indi stirred his tea.

"He said they were Jewish," Indi said, setting the spoon aside. "I presumed it was another religion."

"You're correct," Elsa said.

"Why would Weldon verbally attack this family?" Indi asked. "They didn't do anything to him."

"Some people don't like other people who are different," Elsa said.

"And likely a superiority complex…" Indi said under his breath. He held up his finger and his thumb, placing the tips very close to touching. "I was this close to having Sleuther eat him."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't," Elsa said, her lips coming back into a smile. "That'd be difficult to explain to my people. 'I'm sorry, my knight and champion allowed his dragon to eat the butcher.'" Indi snorted. "I trust you intervened?"

"Of course," Indi said. "I'm not going to have some lowly butcher tarnish our hospitality." He took a sip of his tea. "That's my job."

Elsa laughed.

Indi strode through the halls, the tea warm in his belly. He looked at a large grandfather clock, and saw that it was nearly time for court. He strolled down to the throne room, outside of which he saw Queen Primrose.

He strode up to her, and, stopping a meter away from the brown-haired woman, bowed. "Your Majesty."

"Sir Indi," Primrose said, tipping her head respectfully. "Are you attending court tonight?"

"I am," Indi said. "I thought I'd actually conduct court this time."

"Very good," Primrose said.

"Though I have a favor I'd like to request of you."

"If it's in my abilities," Primrose said with a smile.

"I may need your council. I've never conducted court. I've seen Elsa- I mean, Queen Elsa… do it a couple times, but I haven't had much time to pay it much mind. That's my folly, of course, I admit."

Primrose held up a hand. "Say no more, Sir Indi. I'd be happy to assist you."

"You have my thanks."

Indi turned and saw Kai, Elsa's advisor, approach. "Your Majesty, my Lord," Kai said with a bow. "It's time, Your Majesty."

"Thank you," Primrose said. "Sir Indi will be conducting court today, as my niece wanted initially."

Kai nodded. "Very well. Come, my Lord." Kai guided Indi into a small door that led to a space off the left side of the throne's pedestal, at the front of the throne room. "Wait here, my Lord." Indi nodded and watched as Kai went out and stood near the throne.

"In accordance with Queen Elsa's wishes, I present Sir Indi Rex, Knight of Arendelle." The crowd started a light applause. Indi strode out. He saw Kai subtly point to a spot in front of the throne. Indi gave the slightest of nods, and stood in the indicated spot. "Queen Primrose of Corona." Indi looked over and bowed as the queen approached. Primrose tipped her head in response.

Indi looked forward, and noted that Princess Rapunzel was standing nearby. She waved at Indi, and the knight acknowledged the gesture with a slight twitch of the corner of his mouth.

The voice of a servant from the back of the room sounded out. "Presenting, His Grace, the Duke of Dalhurst and Her Grace, The Duchess of Dalhurst."

Indi looked as the crowd parted for the pair. Indi leaned over to Queen Primrose and muttered quietly. "You didn't receive them last night?

"They didn't come," Primrose said.

Indi purses his lips. "Interesting."

As the pair walked up, Indi put on a pleasant smile. "Your Grace."

"Sir Indi Rex. Your Majesty," the Duke of Dalhurst said, turning his attention to the queen. "I was not expecting to see you here, Your Majesty."

"Sir Indi flew me and my family here for a meeting with his queen," Primrose said.

"Very good," Dalhurst said. "How is Queen Elsa doing?"

"She's seems to be making a speedy recovery," Primrose said.

"I apologise for my rudeness," the Duchess of Dalhurst said. "But I find it odd to see a knight standing equal to a queen."

Indi glanced at Primrose, and allowed himself to chuckle lightly. "No harm in asking a simple question. I'm filling in for Queen Elsa as she recovers, taking care of the duties that she would normally do, as well as keeping a watchful eye on the animals. Queen Primrose has been advising me on things and taking over when situations require more tactfulness than I can manage."

"Don't be so quick to discredit yourself, Sir Indi," Primrose said. "You're doing well."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Indi said. "Your Grace, on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elsa, I would like to formally welcome you to Arendelle. You may stay as long as you wish. Should you require anything, simply seek either myself or Queen Primrose." Indi glanced over at the queen, who gave a gentle nod, closing her eyes with the gesture. "I hope you enjoy your stay."

"You are most kind, Sir," Dalhurst said. "We look forward to working with you-" Dalhurst eyes widened, as well as some of the other people who were in the court. Indi followed the man's gaze down to his hip.

Staring up at him with large green eyes was a young, white dragon.

Indi smiled and bent over to rub the scaly head. "Hello, Emerald." Turned his head to see Emerald's sister walk out from behind the throne, stretching her wings upwards. "Hello, Copal. Did you have a good nap, girls?" The Indominus Furies blinked their large eyes, before yawning, Emerald yawning slightly after Copal opened her jaws.

"Pay them no mind," Indi said, watching out of the corner of his eye as Copal walked over to Queen Primrose and bumped the queen's hand with her snout. Primrose looked at Indi, who nodded. The queen carefully pet the scaly snout. Indi smiled and turned his attention back to the visiting nobles.

"I apologise," Indi said. "You were saying?"

Dalhurst tore his eye from the dragons. "We look forward to coming to a likely trade agreement."

Indi pursed his lips, before nodding. A trade agreement, in person; certainly unorthodox, based be on what he knew. Indi dismissed the visiting nobles, with the promise that something would be worked out.

He turned to Primrose. "Now we mingle, correct?" The queen nodded. Indi stepped down from the platform, and held out his hand toward Queen Primrose. As the queen took his hand, she stepped down.

Indi turned to a servant who approached him with a silver platter that held several wine glasses, each with an equal amount of red liquid.

Indi took two, one in each hand, the stems of the glasses going between his middle and ring fingers. He cradled each glass with his fingers gently.

"Wine, Your Majesty?" He held out one of the glasses.

"Thank you, Sir Indi," Primrose said as she accepted the offered glass.

Indi strode alongside Queen Primrose, who went to her husband and her daughter.

"Your Majesties," Indi said with a slight bow.

"None of that," King Thomas said. "While you are taking care of Queen Elsa's duties, you have no need to bow to me. We are equals."

"Your Majesty?" Indi said, allowing confusion into his voice. King Thomas did not seem like the type of man to humble himself to a knight.

"You ride a dragon, and you have a war on your head unlike any I could fathom. You're doing things I couldn't dream of. You saved my daughter more than once." King Thomas lowered his voice. "You're courting my niece." Indi felt his cheeks get warm at this. "And I don't think she could have made a better choice."

"You honor me, Your Majesty."

Indi heard high pitched voices, and turned to see some of the teenage daughters of the more wealthy families of Arendelle cooing over the Indominus Furies. Indi shook his head and raised his glass to his lips, taking a sip of wine.

"Your Majesty, would you like to join me on my nightly dragon ride." King Thomas' eyes widened at this. "There's something I'd like to show you."

"I would be honored to join you."

"Once we're finished here, I'll inform you of when to get ready."

"Very well," King Thomas said. A servant offered the platter of wine glasses, and the king chose one.

"To Queen Elsa's health," Indi said. "and may she have a swift recovery."

"Hear, hear," King Thomas said. The pair clinked their glasses together.

Indi pulled on the strap of leather, tightening the bindings on the saddle. The lanterns lighting the courtyard, adding to the light of the full moon that had graced the sky with a soft glow.

He stood tall and straightened his armor.

"Sir Indi?" a deep voice said. Indi turned to see King Thomas walking up to him, accompanied by his family and a selection of curious nobles. King Thomas wore an outfit of Arendelle's finest riding clothes, the attire typical for riding horses.

"Are you ready?" Indi asked.

"I think so," King Thomas said, looking the young knight up and down. "Do you expect to be fighting in the air, Sir Indi?"

"What, the armor? No, I've just found it's best to ride in this armor. The riding clothes you're wearing will serve well enough for an easy flight. But I like to wear armor in the air. It takes the wear best, as the wind could be fierce when flying quickly."

The king nodded, and Indi turned to climb up. As he set himself into the saddle, Indi nodded to King Thomas, reaching down. Sleuther turned his head, watching as the older man took his rider's hand. Indi pulled upwards, heaving the man onto the dragon's back.

As the king settled down in the saddle behind Indi, Sleuther shifted his weight. The king grabbed Indi's shoulders.

"It's alright," Indi said. "He's just not used to carrying this much weight. He's just adjusting himself."

"Is he strong enough?" King Thomas asked nervously.

"Oh, yes," Indi said. "Strike Class dragons have larger wings compared to their bodies than other dragons." Indi cleared his throat. "Ready, Sleuther?" The dragon stood up from the couched position he had adopted to allow the humans to climb on. "Are you ready, King Thomas?"

"I believe so," the older man said.

"Then you're going to want to hold on." The king placed his hands on Indi's shoulders.

The dragon jerk his head to look forward, and slowly extended his wings upwards, the thin ribs of bone in the wings spreading like fingers, expanding the area of the wings.

"Go, Sleuther!" The Triple Stryke thrust his wings downwards, sending his body into the air, carrying his passengers into the air. Indi hung onto the dragon's saddle, his eyes squinting from the hard wind. Sleuther flapped his wings repeatedly, going highee and higher. Indi turned his head back to see the castle falling away behind them. After a moment more of near-vertical flying, Sleuther leveled out his body, spreading his wings and going into a gentle glide.

Indi turned backwards to check on King Thomas. The man's eyes were wide, fear risen through his face.

"You're alright, Your Highness," Indi said.

"How do you do this?" King Thomas said.

"Believe me, my first flight was nowhere near as easygoing as this," Indi said, before turning his attention to the dragon beneath him. "To the mountains." He turned back to the king behind him. "My first flight, if I recall correctly, was during a race to rescue a dragon from hunters."

"Sounds dangerous," King Thomas remarked.

"It was." Indi felt Sleuther turn, going higher into the air, though not as fast nor as straight up; just a gentle flight this time. "You're going to want to hold on." The king placed his hands on Indi's shoulders.

Indi gripped the handles on the saddle, and tapped his heels on Sleuther's side. Sleuther flapped, going faster.

Indi looked up, the moon illuminating a light sheen on the dragon's scales.

The dragon turned his head back, looking at the humans with one red eye. Indi reached forward and rubbed Sleuther's head. The dragon crooned, pushing the top of his head into Indi's hand.

Indi looked to the right, and saw a large cloud.

"To that cloud, Sleuther," Indi said. The dragon roared, and sped towards the large silver mass.

The Triple Stryke shot into the cloud, before bursting through it. Indi looked below, and saw that they had passed over Arendelle.

The stars above them twinkled gently.

Indi looked down to seen the snow-capped North Mountain passing beneath them. As Sleuther descended slightly on thee northern side of the mountain, King Thomas spoke.

"How fast can he go?"

"Faster than someone in a freefall," Indi said.

King Thomas looked around. "This is beautiful up here."

"Isn't it?" Indi said. "I thought you'd like it." Indi reached down and patted Sleuther's flank. "There's something else I'd like to show you."

Sleuther turned, going around the peak of the North Mountain. As they rounded the large rock, they passed by a large, blue structure, sitting attached to the rock and snow.

"That is Queen Elsa's ice castle," Indi said.

"Do you go in it?" King Thomas asked.

"I haven't been there in quite a while," Indi said. "and I wouldn't go inside without Queen Elsa's explicit permission, unless circumstances demanded it, like a fierce storm or something of equal effect."

"I see," King Thomas said.

"Here, there's something else I'd like you to see." Indi guided Sleuther back towards Arendelle. As they left the Ice Castle behind them, Sleuther descended.

After a moment, King Thomas gasped. "Oh, my goodness."

Indi smiled; beneath them was the town of Arendelle. On most of the houses' porches were lanterns, casting a soft glow. The street lanterns giving their own light. Small lights moved around the streets, indicating guards doing their nightly patrols. Some of the houses had doused their lights for the night, though they were few and far between.

Indi sighed, a sad smile on his face. "These are Queen Elsa's people, the people I am to protect."

"You seem disheartened."

"I am, somewhat. It's not really a job I wanted, just something that came with me living here and the events that transpired. I'll happily defend these people, though some of them don't like me."

"What would you rather be doing?" King Thomas asked.

"To be frank," Indi said. "I'd just run off on Sleuther, if I could, and take this war with me. But Elsa won't leave her people. Most of what I do, I do for her. But, I can't leave her; not now."

King Thomas gave Indi's shoulder a pat. "You're a good man, Sir Indi Rex. I was not pleased about meeting you initially." Indi chuckled; no he wasn't. King Thomas had him arrested. "But I have seen time and again that you are a great young man."

"You honor me, Your Highness."

"Enough about duties and leading," King Thomas said. "I have a question about your dragon."

"What's your question?"

"Does this dragon breath fire?"

Indi looked back and smirked. "Say no more." He turned to the dragon. "Sleuther?" The dragon turned his head back to look at his rider. "Fire!"

The Triple Stryke inhaled, before opening his jaws in a mighty roar, a jet of yellow and orange fire shooting forth from the back of his throat. The flames licked at the air, illuminating Indi's face.

"My good graces!" King Thomas said as the fire died away, leaving behind the scent of smoke. "I surely hope anyone who crossed you begs for your forgiveness, Sir Indi."

Indi laughed. "That would depend on whether Sleuther gives them a chance."

King Thomas laughed. "Yes, of course."

"Shall we head back?" Indi asked.

"I agree," King Thomas said. "It's getting late."

Indi guided Sleuther back to the castle. As the dragon glided over the courtyard, he flapped his wings, going into a controlled descent. The dragon touched down onto the ground with a light thud.

"Did you two have a good time?" a female voice said.

"It was amazing, my dears," King Thomas said as he dismounted. Indi slid off the dragon's back, giving Sleuther a rub on the head as the king embraced his wife and daughter. "Sir Indi, I'd like to thank you. You've given me the chance of a lifetime."

"You are very welcome, Your Highness. I was more than happy to take you for a ride." Indi said with a smile. "I should see you in the morning."

"Very well, Sir Indi," King Thomas said.

"Goodnight, Sir Indi," Princess Rapunzel said.

Indi watched as the small family left, before removing the saddle from Sleuther's back. He carried the saddle over to a wooden chest that sat behind the steps that led to the castle doors.

He kicked open the chest and set the saddle inside. Closing the chest with a thunk, he turned to enter the castle. "Goodnight, Sleuther."

The dragon rumbled, before taking off to his spot on the castle roof.

Indi entered the castle and yawned, covering his mouth. He quietly made his way to the Elsa's room, the halls already darkened for the night. Only a candle here or there provided any light.

As he entered the queen's chamber, he saw her sleeping, her chest raising and falling softly.

To hell with the rumors, Indi thought. He removed his armor, until he was only wearing a light shirt and pants. He climbed onto the bed next to Elsa, laying on top of the sheets.

"Indi?" Her voice said softly.

"It's me," Indi said as he moved closer to Elsa.

"Where have you been?"

"I was taking King Thomas for a ride on Sleuther. He seemed to really enjoy it."

Elsa "hm'ed" before pulling her arms from beneath the sheets and wrapping them around Indi. "Good."

As Indi placed his head down onto the pillow, he put a hand on Elsa's hip, pulling her close. Indi breathed out a deep sigh and closed his eyes. The last thing he could notice was Elsa placing a kiss on his lips.
