Kaminari sighed.
She could see slightly above them, but she still had no idea what was going on. All that happened was she accidentally got out of the Super Robot while a fight was happening, she tried to get back inside without anybody noticing, and now all ten of her siblings surrounded her. They all had their weapons out as they shielded her. Every time she moved, they moved according to her position. None of them were allowing her out of the circle.
It was annoying, to say the least.
"Can I please get out of here? I just want to go back inside." Kaminari complained.
"We would love to," Peridot stabbed a Formless that came their way, "but we can't let you outside the family kill circle."
"...Family kill circle?" She flatly asked, unimpressed.
"Yes." Magma responded as he punched another Formless away. "As in you stay protected, and we do the killing!"
"It is quite simple, Kaminari. I thought it was easy to understand." Diamond added.
"No, it is, but why surround me is the question. Why not Peridot and Emerald?" She asked.
"Hey!" Emerald and Peridot said in unison.
Marino simply chuckled. "Because you're our baby sister. We have to make sure you're okay. Emerald and Peridot can protect themselves, you cannot yet."
Sparks of electricity shot up from Kaminari's fingertip.
"I have electricity powers, I can shock people, I think that can do just fine." Kaminari stated.
"You have to consider the odds of it working on Formless and you not getting tired as you retreat back inside." Soma argued. "If you used a good portion of your energy, you may not make it back to safety in time."
"He hath a point, Kami!" Jasper gave her a smile.
She rolled her eyes. It felt pointless to argue with them. Kaminari walked back to the entrance and they protected her the whole way. Astral and Aero moved aside when they got to the Super Robot's foot.
She made her way inside before the robot closed shut.
While it wasn't the first, she had a feeling it wasn't going to be the last.
It'd been like this for several years and they still formed a circle around Kaminari. She was a whole head taller than all of her siblings, yet they continued to shield her. All she wanted was a damn milkshake. What she got instead was another family kill circle. She walked, they adjusted to her movements.
"I'm not seven anymore, guys, I can handle myself."
"We know you can fight now," Soma responded, "but you're still our baby sister. We're legally not allowed to let harm come your way."
She sighed at his response. It wasn't like she could argue them down at this point, so she just let it happen. It happened for seven years, it wasn't like another day would kill her. Kaminari got up to the vendor, who was scared out of his mind. She got on her toes to see him properly.
"One strawberry and raspberry milkshake, please." She ordered.
"...You're not hiding?" He asked.
"Nah, my parents got this." She pointed to the hyperforce behind her.
He looked at the monkeys surrounding her. "Do they want anything?"
Seven of them declined while three of them pondered.
"Blueberry," Astral requested.
"Chocolate." Aero added in.
"Strawberry kiwi banana." Peridot said.
Kaminari looked back at the vendor. "I guess that's four orders."
"Coming right up then, just… don't let them attack here." He begged.
"We cannot make any promises they will not get in," Marino started, "but we will do our best."
Just as Marino said that, one formless got thrown their way. Marino used his telekinesis powers and tossed the formless back where it came from. After a few minutes, they all got their milkshakes. The ten rotated until everyone got their respective drinks. The man chuckled.
"Protective family?" He asked.
"Protective family." She responded as she paid him.
He smiled. "Hey, at least they care enough to do that."
"It can be annoying sometimes, like now." Kaminari glared at them. "Thank you!"
"Come again! Preferably when the city's not being attacked!"
She smiled and waved goodbye. Kaminari went back to the Super Robot and thought about what he said. Maybe it was part of them showing how much they cared about her. She had a small smirk on her face, not that she'd admit it was sweet.
They only allowed her to exit the circle when they got to the entrance.
